I had a big ‘Everything Is Art’ moment when I was helping my friend’s dad with some house-building tasks
I was screwing in wall outlet plates and got asked whether the slots on the screw heads were meant to be vertically or horizontally aligned
I said “I don’t think it matters” - because why would it? that’s such a small detail. surely no one notices every screw head in their home
but the friend’s dad overheard and started laughing. “it matters,” he said. “you’re an artist - surely you understand? we’re doing vertical positioning.”
and it just clicked for me. of course it mattered - the house was artwork I was collaborating on and everything had design, from the position of screws to connections of the side paneling.

Codywan First Kiss Bingo
Can't get enough of Cody and Obi-Wan's first kiss in any universe and situation? Well then we'd love to have you play our bingo!
How to Play
Fill out this form and we'll email you your shiny bingo card. Every card is a shuffled assortment of prompts that will look something like this:
Tumblr media
Below are all the rules you should know about before you join.
General Rules
We're sure you are familiar with the rules of bingo, but just to be certain everyone is on the same page, to get a bingo you must fill five prompts in a row. That row can be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal. Fill all the prompts on your card and that's a blackout!
Get as creative with your kisses as you want but they MUST BE A FIRST KISS between Obi-Wan and Cody in some capacity.
Prompt fills should be new works, meaning that they should not be part of an ongoing work-in-progress. Sequels and prequels to already-finished works are welcome!
Posting Dates
Participants have the entire month of December to post bingo fills! Sign up around the time of this announcement and you will have a two month creation window before December 1st rolls around.
You can either post to our collection on ao3 and/or on tumblr but we do ask that you please tag us @codywanfirstkissbingo AND tag your post with #CWFKB2023 as we don’t want to miss anyone if tumblr drops the ball.
If you’re posting on AO3 but want us to reblog your fill, please make a Tumblr post with the link and make sure to @ us and tag your post with #CWFKB2023. We’ll be checking the collection when tracking fills and making round-up posts with bingos and blackouts, but we will not be cross-posting every individual fill on AO3 ourselves if the creator has not made a tumblr post.
Please include a screenshot of your bingo tag with the prompt fill indicated so we know which square you’ve filled!
Specific Rules
Fic: 100 words minimum per prompt fill. To be clear, the kiss itself does not have to last 100 words, though we'd be delighted to see that.
Art: One drawing per fill (digital or traditional). Different drawings can be on the same canvas/page if you so wish. Go wild with your compositions.
Podfic: Same requirements as fic. You can collaborate with someone writing a fic specifically for the event or find an existing fic that fills your prompt.
Fanmix: One song per fill- we'd love to see what songs give you codywan first kiss vibes. Try to match lyrics to your prompt but instrumental songs are cool too.
Other: Send an ask with your inquiry! We're more than happy to discuss expanding the fanwork pool to maximize creativity.
Ratings
You can post any work with any rating, but please abide by the appropriate rating/archive warning/tags on AO3 when posting there. When posting on tumblr, please warn for potentially triggering content in the tags and the header to the post, so readers can filter as needed. Anything spicy or explicit should go under a read-more tag, and please use a read-more tag if you’re posting a fic that is longer than a drabble (100 words) to be considerate of people’s dashboard feeds.
To help make this event a safe one for Codywan fans with any kind of photosensitivity, we do specifically request that you tag any and all flashing imagery with #flashing. If you're unsure what constitutes flashing, please see this article, or err on the side of caution for any image with: moving stripes or checkered patterns; strobe light, lightning, or explosion effects in any image or video; images of flickering light/sunlight on leaves/water; very fast cuts between images in a gif or video; rapidly moving images in an animation or gif set that stop and start or “stutter;” sparkle text or similar moving text effects; and images in an animation, gifset, or video that are in high color contrast to each other (for example, a gif set that cuts pink Barbie gifs with black & white Oppenheimer gifs to create a fast-moving contrast between the two styles.)
The CWFKB mods' decision is final on whether your post/entry requires a flashing warning; they will contact you to ask you to update your tags if you haven’t already noted in your tumblr or AO3 post that your fill contains #flashing content. If you are not willing to use the flashing tag, even after being contacted by the mods, the mods have the right to decide that under-tagged flashing fills will be disqualified from the event.
Finally– with exceptions for the NSFW or #spicy and #flashing tags on tumblr– you have the right to choose not to warn readers in accordance with AO3’s “choose not to warn” option, but posters whose tags or ratings are deceptive or misleading versus the actual content may have their fills disqualified.
When in doubt, please contact the mods! The mods will contact you about any fill where the tags and ratings raise this concern, with a request that you revise and update your tags and warnings.
Combining Prompts
This is a low stakes event and we just want people to have fun! If you want to combine prompts that's totally fine, but we ask that you give each fill its own scene within the larger work. This means there should be a separate kiss for each prompt, even if the 'scene' is a series of types of kisses all in a row.
Swapping Prompts
Nearly have a bingo but there's that one pesky prompt in your way you don't vibe with? Go ahead and swap it with another prompt on your card. As all the prompts are randomly selected and not handpicked for participants; we understand there's a chance some of the prompts may not inspire you so we allow ONE and only ONE SWAP PER CARD. Use it carefully if you need it!
Behind the Scenes
This bingo is modded by tumblr users @dontbelasagnax @lttrsfrmlnrrgby and @notthestarwar. Since we're big fans of the previous codywan bingos, we felt the drive to bring the fun back for anyone else that has missed the event as much as us!
Our adorable profile picture was drawn by @anaclastic-azurite!
You can actually find the public inception of this bingo event right here!
If you have any further questions after reading our rules, our askbox is open!
@swfandomevents
(NB: edited Oct. 9 to add "vertical.")
(NB: edited Nov. 10 to add "This means there should be a separate kiss for each prompt, even if the 'scene' is a series of types of kisses all in a row.")

Official John Wick Major Arcana tarot cards featuring Chapter 4 characters
Art by Julien Rico Jr, in collaboration with Lionsgate.
Sources: nerdsloveart, behance
Image descriptions below the cut:
[Start ID: 22 images featuring characters and locations from the movie "John Wick: Chapter 4" as Major Arcana tarot cards. The drawings are in black and white against a sandy beige background, and has plenty of circle motives. Roman numerals are at the top, their corresponding card title at the bottom, and the movie title "John Wick: Chapter 4" on the bottom left margin.
0: The number zero, or unnumbered, tarot card features Killa Harkan played by Scott Adkins as "The Fool". Killa is holding a 2 of spades between two fingers while giving a smug smile that shows off his set of golden teeth. He wears a ring on his right hand and the other hand is holding a stack of cards. Behind Killa is a minimalistic design resembling a casino token with details such as the diamond and clover symbols, as well as the numbers on the dice. In front of Killa is a table with two piling stacks of casino tokens, a gun, and the shadow of John Wick's head looming over a large portion of the table.
1: The number one tarot card features The Tracker or Mr. Nobody played by Shamier Anderson as "The Magician". Mr. Nobody has a smug expression on his face and is holding his rifle in a way that lets it rest slung over his shoulder. By his side is Mr. Nobody's Belgian Malinois. The backdrop consists of simplistic, grayish graphics of map vectors cropped into several circles of different sizes. There is a white-coloured infinity symbol on top of Mr. Nobody's head.
2: The number two tarot card features Rooney, aka The Ballerina, who first appeared in "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum", as "The High Priestess". Rooney's back is facing towards us as she's performing a ballet move on a circular stage. Rooney is wearing a white crown and a dress that shows the cross tattoo on her back. In the backdrop, where Rooney's face is looking towards, are curtains with the initials "JW" written on the far ends of the frame.
3: The number three tarot card features Katia played by Natalia Tena as "The Empress". With a cool expression on her face, Katia is leaning forward against a set of railings, giving off a domineering aura. Katia is wearing a metallic necklace and a cross on her neck. Behind Katia is the crest of the Ruska Roma and a line in Russian circling around it.
4: The number four tarot card features The Bowery King played by Laurence Fishburne as "The Emperor". The Bowery King is sitting on a throne, but behind him is a pair of eyes staring menacingly at us. In front of him is a logo design with the same pair of eyes, though rendered smaller and appear less menacing, with an X crossed in between and a horizontal line capping the top of the X. At the Bowery King's feet, a few pigeons are shown in the foreground while the Brooklyn Bridge appear in the background.
5: The number five tarot card features The Elder as "The Hierophant". Behind the Elder is an Islamic floral design which extends into a more geometrical pattern. Standing in the background are two of the Elder's men.
6: The number six tarot card features John and Helen Wick, played by Keanu Reeves and Bridget Moynahan, as "The Lovers". John and Helen are smiling brightly towards each other in front of a New York night cityscape backdrop, with the Empire States building separating them at the centre. Above John and Helen is a silhouette of them pressed against each other about to kiss in front of a bright sun with the Brooklyn bridge in the background.
7: The number seven tarot card features John Wick driving his 1971 Plymouth Barracuda as "The Chariot". There is a bullet mark on the front glass pane of John Wick's car. On top is a closeup of John Wick surrounded by a circle of road markings and bullet marks.
8: The number eight tarot card features Charon played by Lance Reddick as "Strength". On top of Charon's head is the infinity symbol, and behind is a design reminiscent of a timepiece neatly decorated with knives, guns and bullets in a circle. Further behind is a faded image of the reverse side of the Gold Coin. Filling the bottom of the frame is the New York cityscape backdrop illuminated by the sun.
9: The number nine tarot card features Caine played by Donnie Yen as "The Hermit". Caine wears sunglasses and is holding a cane in his left hand and a pistol in his right. Caine's head is illuminated by a circle of bright light, which is surrounded by a dimmer, slightly bigger circle with Japanese wave patterns and then large protruding rays of black. In the backdrop are two winding trees along with a city landscape of Osaka, but they are overshadowed by Caine's black rays.
10: The number ten tarot card features L’Arc de Triomphe as "The Wheel of Fortune". The location is illustrated in such a way that looks like a clock, with the monument at the centre and twelve roads leading towards it. Surrounding the Arc de Triomphe are the letters from John Wick's name arranged in the exact order of north-west, north-east, south-west, south-east, west, north, east and south directions.
11: The number eleven tarot card features The Harbinger played by Clancy Brown as "Justice". The whole illustration is framed as if the Harbinger is contained inside an hourglass, with a half-body portrait of the Harbinger at the top and a full-body silhouette of him forming at the bottom from the sand flowing downwards. Behind the Harbinger's portrait is the Latin quote, "si vis pacem, para bellum", whereas next to the Harbinger's silhouette is a crescent moon. Along the sides of the hourglass outside are two duel pistols facing opposite directions on each side.
12: The number twelve tarot card features Koji Shimazu played by Hiroyuki Sanada as "The Hanged Man". Except for his feet, Koji is portrayed as an vertically-inverted reflection of himself on a pool of water. Koji is holding a katana and his head is surrounded by a circle of dim light and a brighter, slightly larger circle made of Japanese wave patterns. As seen in the reflection, behind him are cherry blossom trees and the Osaka city landscape.
13: The number thirteen tarot card features John Wick, aka the Baba Yaga, played by Keanu Reeves as "Death". John Wick is holding a pair of nunchucks in his right hand. Behind John Wick is a city landscape of Osaka lighted by the moon while his head is surrounded by a row of skull pictograms and two rows of bullets. There is also an faded image of the reverse side of the Gold Coin behind John Wick.
14: The number fourteen tarot card features Winston played by Ian McShane as "Temperance". Winston is holding up a wine glass with a capital C labelled on it, and there are multiple swords projecting from his back like wings. Behind Winston is the hotel name "Continental" and numerous halos of various fonts and patterns, along with the cityscape of New York, with the Statue of Liberty and the Empire States building in sight.
15: The number fifteen tarot card features The Marquis, Vincent Bisset de Gramont, played by Bill Skarsgård as "The Devil". Behind the Marquis is his signature emblem with two black knives crossed behind his head. The emblem is surrounded by two rows of knives. In the background is the night cityscape of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in view, illuminated by a moon that is surrounded by a snake or serpent that's chasing its own tail.
16: The number sixteen tarot card features the New York Continental Hotel as "The Tower". The top floors of the Continental Hotel are being set on fire as the small dark silhouette of John Wick and the debris carried along fall from its rooftop.
17: The number seventeen tarot card features Akira played by Rina Sawayama as "The Star". Illuminating behind Akira is a star resembling a six-pointed shuriken with two Japanese stork paintings on its left and right, which is further surrounded by a circle of alternating arrow fletchings and four-pointed shuriken. Akira is holding a bow and arrow and standing tall as the bodies of two men lie dead around her. In the background are the branches of cherry blossom trees and the sun or moon shining behind Akira.
18: The number eighteen tarot card features John Wick's and Mr. Nobody's dogs as "The Moon". The two dogs are staring up at the crescent moon, which is shaped as if John Wick's head is covering portions of the full moon. Surrounding the crescent moon are small stars and a illustration of the cycle of the moon phases. The two dogs are sitting on a road leading into an ambiguous city landscape in the background.
19: The number nineteen tarot card features the Sacré-Coeur as "The Sun". The rays of the sun spread out far and wide as wisps of clouds drifts behind the giant church. A dark silhouette of John Wick can be seen on the top open window of the Sacré-Coeur.
20: The number twenty tarot card features Chidi played by Marko Zaror as "Judgement". Behind Chidi is the emblem of the Marquis with a black knife cutting across behind his head. Below Chidi are the High Table's heavily armoured soldiers who are backdropped by a big splatter of sandy beige.
21: The number twenty-one tarot card features John Wick as "The World". John Wick's back is facing towards us with his head glancing back, showing us his face. Overlayed on top of him is his surname "Wick" with the "I" replaced by a bright silhouette of a walking John Wick. A circle of bullets surrounds John Wick and bullet marks scatter around him as the emblems of the High Table, the Marquis, the Adjudicator, and the Gold Coin fill all four corners of the frame.

[“HOW TRAUMA PLAYS OUT IN GROUPS
Horizontal Violence
When we can’t strike back at those who are truly harming us, we often lash out at those we can reach. We yell at our lover because we can’t yell at the boss. In groups, we may fight even the most minor conflict to the death. We attack our fellow group members with all the unexpressed rage that really belongs to the perpetrators of violence. In our minds, we are always fighting for our lives. Just as enraged dogs will attack one another with no regard for their relative size, we lose sight of real power differentials and may demolish a group member with a blast of anger without realizing that we have shifted from victim of abuse to abuser.
Horizontal Violence Strategies
Friends don’t let friends abuse one another. A group that sets healthy boundaries and standards for behavior needs to hold one another accountable for keeping them.
Offer constructive critique and honest feedback.
Collective intervention: Others in the group can support one another to tell the raging group member that their behavior is not acceptable. Couple this with:
Good cop/bad cop: While one or more group members set and hold clear boundaries, another might offer help and support to find counseling, coaching or mediation.
Mentoring: Assigning the offending person a mentor can provide long-term encouragement to both change behavior and look at deeper patterns.
The Perpetual Victim
Some people cling to the role of victim, claiming center stage. Whatever issue or drama erups somehow always ends up being about them. Their patterns may originate from deep hurt and trauma and we can feel sympathy, but colluding with them is not helpful either to the person or the group. Fruitless efforts to appease them can drain the group’s energy and undermine its effectiveness.
When we are caught up in the role of victim, our speech and actions reflect our sense of powerlessness. To regain our sense of empowerment, we might begin by challenging the inherent assumptions in our words and practicing alternative framings and affirmations.
Blaming
Statement: “You made me feel …”
Assumptions: I am at the mercy of other people’s speech and actions. I am helpless to do anything but respond to how others treat me.
Alternate suggestion: I choose how to respond to other people’s statements and assessments. I can choose what to take in and what to discard. My feelings are real and valid, but I can move through them quickly and separate them from my own assumptions and other people’s judgments.
Blurting
Statement: “I have to speak my truth.” Translation: I’m about to blurt out something hurtful in the most blunt way possible. Assumptions: Truth is uncomfortable, painful and festering. My feelings and perceptions are The Truth, and I must get it out just as I might vomit up a bad meal, regardless of consequences.
Alternate suggestion: I choose to speak my truth, using all my sensitivity, wisdom and skill so that I can be clearly heard and effective.
Bleating
Statement: “I’m being silenced.”
Assumption: If people actually heard me, they would agree with me. So if they don’t agree with me, they are shutting me down.
Alternate suggestion: I can advocate for my own perspective — whether or not others agree — and respect their right to differ. I do not need anyone’s permission to advocate for myself.
Strategies for Transforming the Role of Victim
Clear, fair and transparent ways that people can earn power in the group will provide constructive alternatives to victimization.
Structures and practice of constructive critique can provide positive channels for complaints.
Encourage responsibility with questions like: What would you suggest to make the situation different? What structures would you like to see in place that would help us address your needs and concerns?”]

It seems these plushies will be making their first appearance at a winter TWST exhibit in Japan! They’ll be available online as well.
Wow, there’s a lot of variety in the colors, shapes, and designs in this batch! It’s over 3 years of TWST now, so it’s nice to see these event outfits again (and not just the Halloween and Birthday outfit plushies); it’s like walking down memory lane.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The gift calendar is like an advent calendar; you open the number the corresponds to the days counting down to the holidays and get a new present for each day. However, this particular calendar is exclusively holiday messages from 23 TWST characters (22 of the core cast + Grim, I assume).
It is not yet clear if these holiday messages will be like the White Day cards (written in English) or if they will be written in Japanese. The sample image appears to show text horizontally, but this should not be taken as confirmation.
There’s also three different post card + sticker decoration sets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
New Birthday Boy visuals being used for a variety of items, including wafer cards, charms, and full body acrylic standees.
Each boy is holding up numbers representing their birthday!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shoes and earrings inspired by the seven dorms!! These are a collaboration with the brand MAYLA.
Wah, they’re so fancy and nice to look at but the earrings also seem hella heavy 😭 Why does TWST always do jewelry collabs and why do the earrings always gotta look so nice—

small groups, big change
One of the things that is difficult about social change is the energy needed. When we think of what change looks like, we tend to imagine either the endpoint or the preceding event that leads to that endpoint. We imagine massive revolutions, coups, upheavals, or mobilizations that bring in a new order in one swift move.
I don’t know if this is an accessible or good way to approach radical action. It is what in part spurs what I call “radical churn”, where folks burn out of doing radical work, and movements shrink until a new flashpoint/rupture in society activates a new batch. Rinse and repeat.
There are a lot of reasons for this, but I’ll focus on two: a lack of horizontal, empowering, and mutualistic organizing, plus a lack of strategy based on an analysis of the systemic reality of a given area.
I think that to fix this, one of the best things we can do is create groups that are intentionally doing the work of understanding their role in the movement ecosystem that exists and proposing strategies for change that work to understand the context (both at the current moment and the more long-term trends that led to it). I imagine this looking like a more flexible version of a cadre or a slightly more intentional version of an affinity group. A small group of people (ideally in the double digits), committed to change and all working towards figuring out how to support each other in collaborative and autonomous ways. This group isn’t meant to lead or take over, it’s just trying to fulfill specific roles and tasks in a movement space to help it and grow.
Again, this group is not meant to become a shadow government of a movement, controlling things from behind the scenes. There would just be work towards building a clear mode of engagement, and interactions with other groups. There shouldn’t be any attempts to force someone to adhere to something. If a group can prove their ideas through successful action, then they will garner support.
It might be hard to believe that a small group can do much towards “capital I” issues. In whatever arena, sector, or tactical area the group is working in, if they can be consistent, then lots of interesting things can happen. They can use the learned apathy of most folks in politics to their advantage. It can be exposing a politician by organizing a renting a room, filling it up with folks, and having them talk about their failures (even better if the politician is invited, the press is invited, and the politician doesn’t show up). It can be committing to canvassing or deep canvassing, where folks set a group-wide number of doors to knock per week. This is the kind of thing that can relatively easily start moving things in a different direction.
Politics is about power and pressure. Applying pressure can create spaces to take back power, and a great way to consistently apply pressure in a given area is to have a group organized around that work and consistently do it.

If we may, pretty please, a tiny peek at how you guys make the pages?
Sure! This is a good segue into a quick announcement that Spice is out on vacation, so there's no comic page this week, but hopefully this behind-the-scenes post makes for a fun change of pace in the meantime. As an example, here's the process we went through for page 10, written from the perspective of Spice.
---
LTTA started out as a notebook doodle I made while bored during a Zoom meeting. That means the first draft of the comic existed on pencil and notebook paper. Here's a look at page 10:
Tumblr media
(When I first started doodling comics in high school, I used to fit four comic pages per notebook page just to save on paper, but I've kept doing it to keep my writing economical. If the thing I want to write doesn't fit in the panel, then I probably need to redraw the panel or stop using so many words hahaha)
For people who aren't me, the low contrast and scribbly handwriting on the notebook page make it kinda hard to read/work with, so I transcribed it into something a little easier to parse:
Tumblr media
Most of these thumbnail pages are just storyboard-esque lines on a blank background, but sometimes I start blocking in basic lighting, which you can see here in panel 1. Some of the other pages have plot-relevant Enchanter Purple in their thumbnails as well.
This is usually the stage where I share them with Carpet for feedback, since it's easier to revise dialogue/pacing/continuity errors at this stage than it is later in the process. These thumbnails are easy and quick to make, and I don't have a problem discarding/redrawing if needed. Carpet tends to have really valuable feedback on character voice and motivations as well. For example, the reason page 10 came into existence in the first place was because of a conversation we had about the page before it and fleshing out Shield's objections more.
After any initial problems are cleared up, I'll do a first pass of layout, lighting, and colors:
Tumblr media
The goal of this stage is not to produce a perfectly rendered page, but rather to start solving some of the puzzles of the page-- where's the lighting coming from? What's the lightest and the darkest thing in each panel? Is the composition directing the eye where it needs to go? Where's the camera relative to the characters? What's the perspective used for the background? I also do my best to get the lettering/bubbles in good shape, but I always inevitably end up changing something by the time the page goes live hahaha
From here, the page goes to Carpet, who will do painting/lighting/rendering and sometimes rearrange panels entirely. Here's how page 9 came back from Carpet:
Tumblr media
This page iteration uses The Enchanter's finalized character design, whereas the previous iterations came from before we had nailed it down. Apart from that, Carpet redrew the characters and backgrounds, flipped Shield Knight horizontally in panel 2, changed the perspective in panel 3, and changed the panel layout for panels 4 and 5. Zooming in on Shield's face in the last panel helps bring out the tension of her conundrum, and streamlining Enchanter's line delivery in panel 4 helps him read a bit more clearly. Carpet also offered some bubble suggestions in light of the layout changes.
Carpet also had this to say about the decision to remove Shield's helmet: "Removing her helmet would be like removing her knighthood from her, so you just see her as a regular person who’s scared and vulnerable vs a knight who was spitting out demands and breaking the walls earlier."
There have been a few times when the two of us go back and forth with revisions at this stage, figuring out the clearest way to portray something. The fight scene in the first few pages comes to mind, as well as one of Enchanter's poses on page 11. In the case of page 10, I had no notes, so the page came back to me for a final round of bubble cleanup and lettering.
Here's the final product:
Tumblr media
So the quick summary of our collaboration process would look a little like this:
Thumbnails - Spice Writing - Spice Narrative feedback - Carpet Color keys - Spice Background rendering - Carpet Character rendering - Carpet Other artistic revisions - Carpet Lettering, gutters, other page design - Spice
And there you have it!

wait okay i LOVE hob and the corinthian being chaotic dumbass housepets together!! lbr every single day when dream comes home he knows he's coming home to some kind of nonsense from them, the only question is whether they leaned further towards chaotic or horny on any given day.
and, i mean. a lot of the time? it's both. cori's new favourite hobby is railing hob until he's good and fucked out and docile and then wandering around the house to collect things he can push into hob's sloppy hole. dream likes pretty things, okay. he's been collecting pretty things for a very long time, he's got knickknacks on every horizontal surface, and there's no end of vases and candles and glass paperweight the corinthian can bring back and fuck hob with.
his absolute favorite is gathering up a collection of anything round -- dream has a set of decorative solid glass balls that cori's especially fond of -- and filling hob up until he runs out or until hob's whines turn genuinely distressed. cori always aims to work them in deep enough that hob can't push them out himself, leaving hob to squirm around and wait for dream to come home so cori can watch as dream shapes himself some long, thin vines that he can work into hob's hole. hob makes the prettiest noises when dream pulls them out -- the objects are made bigger by the vines wrapped around them and hob's hole has started to tighten back up by then, so the stretch always makes him whimper and whine.
cori gets punished for it, of course. but dream doesn't put any of his decorations away. and he seems to have taken a real liking to a few types of fruit, considering how well the fridge seems to be stocked with bags of produce that hob doesn't begin to recognize but all seem suspiciously egg-shaped.
(after the first time the corinthian did this, dream locked hob in a chastity belt when he left for work the next day. by the time he got home the corinthian had gone on such a destructive tear that dream needed to replace his couch entirely and hob looked so betrayed and dream never tried that again. he very quickly learns that while keeping hob in a cock cage is fine, blocking access to his hole(s) is decidedly not)
-🐈‍⬛
OK i am irrationally obsessed with Hob giving Dream this look of complete misery and how could you do this to me after the chastity belt incident. And Dream is like huh???? Because Hob didn't exactly seem to be having the best time, he was so full up with heavy round objects he couldnt even move! Just had to lie on the floor and wiggle pathetically while waiting for Dream to get back.
But apparently Hob was enjoying himself, actually. Dream gets the equivalent of a Ring pet camera so the next time it happens he can watch. He gets to see how Hob helpfully bends himself over with his arse up in the air, spreading his own cheeks to make it easier for Cori to stuff the objects inside. Apparently, it's a collaborative project.
The cock cage does turn out to be necessary, though, because if given access then Cori WILL attempt to stuff things in Hob’s peehole. And Dream isn't adverse to that experiment, but it's something he definitely wants to supervise. He really doesn't want to have to take Hob to the "vets" and explain why he's got a spoon in his dick.
For all the trouble they cause, Dream adores his pets. Watching them on the camera makes his work day pass so much quicker. Cori's "punishments" definitely turn into rewards quite quickly - he loves having his eyemouths fucked, even though he won't admit it. And the spanking? That just makes both of Dream’s cute pets cum <3

PAUSING ON TRUE Q
I watched True Q tonight, and I think it's interesting that Picard is really calm throughout pretty much the whole episode.
He talks calmly to Q, proceeds to go about his normal captain duties, works with Data in the investigation of Amanda's parents' death, all while knowing that Q is roaming around his ship free as a bird with Amanda, hanging about Beverly's medical lab, causing warp core breaches, etc.
You aren't at least a little bit worried, Picard?
Picard also seems far more collaborative with Q, especially in the "Pals" scene. Why?
Perhaps Picard can tell that Q's focus is not on him, but on poor Amanda?
I also like how Picard is wearing his traditional uniform in the scene when Amanda throws Q across the room, and in the immediate following scene in the Ready Room (Where Q is looking mighty embarrassed, "She's a little spitfire, isn't she?", etc) Picard is wearing his black-shouldered captain's jacket and blue shirt.
A meaningless costume change mistake for the production team, but from a narrative standpoint, it makes me ask, "What did Q and Picard do between the Amanda Q throwing scene and the Ready Room conversation scene?
Did Q sulk somewhere to lick his wounds while Picard went to bed, and they met in Picard's Ready Room the next morning?
Q looked very embarrassed in Picard's Ready Room, twisting his uniform collar, which is a behavioral reaction to something that just happened, like minutes ago.
Sooooo, why did Picard change his clothes?
Again, obviously it's a continuity blooper ☹️, but from a Qcard perspective, maybe Picard finally got to show Q the "compassion" that Q thought he'd get from Picard in Deja Q.
(Jean-Luc, my back hurts bc Amanda threw me against the wall and I hit the vase. Can you...soothe me? In private? In your quarters? Horizontally?)
Dear Trek Team,
Be careful about your little oversights, like costume changes and timings. You could be inadvertently adding to Qcard --unless you meant it that way....
,which you actually do 99% of the time.

Webb’s Jupiter Images Showcase Auroras, Hazes
With giant storms, powerful winds, auroras, and extreme temperature and pressure conditions, Jupiter has a lot going on. Now, NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has captured new images of the planet. Webb’s Jupiter observations will give scientists even more clues to Jupiter’s inner life.
“We hadn’t really expected it to be this good, to be honest,” said planetary astronomer Imke de Pater, professor emerita of the University of California, Berkeley. De Pater led the observations of Jupiter with Thierry Fouchet, a professor at the Paris Observatory, as part of an international collaboration for Webb’s Early Release Science program. Webb itself is an international mission led by NASA with its partners ESA (European Space Agency) and CSA (Canadian Space Agency). “It’s really remarkable that we can see details on Jupiter together with its rings, tiny satellites, and even galaxies in one image,” de Pater said.
This image comes from the observatory’s Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam), which has three specialized infrared filters that showcase details of the planet. Since infrared light is invisible to the human eye, the light has been mapped onto the visible spectrum. Generally, the longest wavelengths appear redder and the shortest wavelengths are shown as more blue. Scientists collaborated with citizen scientist Judy Schmidt to translate the Webb data into images.
In this wide-field view, Webb sees Jupiter with its faint rings, which are a million times fainter than the planet, and two tiny moons called Amalthea and Adrastea. The fuzzy spots in the lower background are likely galaxies “photobombing” this Jovian view.
“This one image sums up the science of our Jupiter system program, which studies the dynamics and chemistry of Jupiter itself, its rings, and its satellite system,” Fouchet said. Researchers have already begun analyzing Webb data to get new science results about our solar system’s largest planet.
Read more about the image and how it was processed by Judy Schmidt here: blogs.nasa.gov/webb/2022/08/22/webbs-jupiter-images-showc...
Image credit: Webb NIRCam composite image (two filters) of Jupiter system, unlabeled (top) and labeled (bottom). Credit: NASA, ESA, CSA, Jupiter ERS Team; image processing by Ricardo Hueso (UPV/EHU) and Judy Schmidt.
Image description: A wide field view showcases Jupiter in the upper right quadrant. The planet’s swirling horizontal stripes are rendered in blues, browns, and cream. Electric blue auroras glow above Jupiter’s north and south poles. A white glow emanates out from the auroras. Along the planet’s equator, rings glow in a faint white. These rings are one million times fainter than the planet itself! At the far left edge of the rings, a moon appears as a tiny white dot. Slightly further to the left, another moon glows with tiny white diffraction spikes. The rest of the image is the blackness of space, with faintly glowing white galaxies in the distance.
