Wow. it's been a hot minute since I posted something 😅 I got sucked into tiktok. I feel being on tumblr is better for my mental health so I'm going to try to post more here again since I forgot how much I enjoyed posting on my plantblr.
Hope you're all having a happy new year!
and if you're not that's ok too 🙂 I send my best vibes your way
I wanted to give an update on my 🌿plant setup🌿 lol 😆

Some terrariums and my heartleaf philodendron (as well as my memorial for my kitty I had to put down this past April 😞)

HAPPY HOUSEPLANT APPRECIATION DAY!!! January 10th is a day to find a new appreciation for your houseplants. Now that most of us have put away our holiday decorations, you might be thinking that your house looks a little drab. But don’t forget your beautiful houseplants! Give them a little water, spray the dust off their leaves, talk to them a little bit and they will make your house shine again.

January 10th is Houseplant Appreciation Day, a celebration invented in 2012 by the Gardener's Network to remind people that after the holidays, their forgotten houseplants may need a little attention. You don’t need to tell that to whoever cultivated this charming little jungle, though.
This scene from the interior of Tinicum Bank in Essington, Pennsylvania was captured by photographer Charles Yessel (1877-1953) on February 7th, 1927. The bank, which opened in October 1919, stood at the corner of what was then Printz Avenue and Island Road.
The photograph is part of the Hagley Library’s collection of Westinghouse Electric Corporation Steam Division photographs (Accession 1969.170). You can view more material from this collection online now by clicking here to visit its page in our Digital Archive.

With all this extra time on my hands I like to do busy work. I have had this board on pinterest for @ghostphoenix-ollie and I labeled "k and v house." Cause we wanna be roommates one day. And you cant look at these and not tell me that our house would be dope as fuck.
We have plans to have separate rooms with a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, and to make our house as weird as possible. It's something we talk about sometimes and the ideas we keep having are so fun! One of my ideas was to theme one of the rooms as "the all seeing eye room." And have eyes hidden everywhere. There is a rug I found on pintrest that is the all seeing eye and i thought it would be fucking hilarious to have people stand on it while wearing a skirt and then say "the eye sees ALL!" 😂😂😂 .
It's always been my dream to live with a friend. It's like a never ending sleepover! Of course we would give eachother space but how cool would it he to live with your best friend ???!!! .
Another addition to the house is a hallway that has an optical allusion all the way through it so that when Jake comes over and gets high or drunk, we would make him walk through it 😂😂 .
I just wanted to write about this Haha ignore me 😅

Of A. J. Crowley and plastic plant misters
Although I usually see our dear demon drawn with a regular plant mister, let’s face ir: Crowley is a fucking stylish bastard. He’s a diva. He's all about the looks. In my headcanon, his plant misters look more like something like this:

Plant Appreciation Post
I’d like to get a little more back and forth going on this blog, so if you have any favorite plants, be they wildflowers in your backyard, or the cactus you impulse bought from the store, drop me a little blurb about them and I’ll share them.

#Feathursday Bonus Post: Houseplant Appreciation Day
Today, January 10th, we celebrate Houseplant Appreciation Day with a bird sitting on a potted plant from the James Blair Murdoch Photograph Collection. Murdoch was a commercial photographer in Milwaukee and did promotional work for Boston Store. This photograph has a Boston Store note on it, perhaps it was used in an advertisement.
This is also a bonus “Name That Bird” post!
We call him Jerry.
