#How To Get To Phantasialand

Found this old thoosie reply meme in my drafts, so i’m gonna redo it with all my current coaster opinions.
1. What is your coaster count?
193 coasters!!! kinda neat
2. What are your top 10 coasters?
never been good with ranking coasters, but off the top of my head:
Steel Vengeance
Storm Chaser
Skyrush
Phantom’s Revenge
Maverick
Cornball Express
Wicked Cyclone
Twisted Colossus
Phoenix (Knoebels)
Afterburn [this will always remain at the number 10 spot for emotional reasons, afterburn was there for me when no 1 else was in 2019]
3. An overrated coaster?
The year I’ve spent not being a thoosie means i have no pulse on what people discourse over. Fury 325 was disappointing for me, but also I rode it in November when I worked at Carowinds, so like, I have room in my heart to believe it does fuck in warmer weather. Similar deal with Lightning Rod.
4. An underrated coaster?
Idk, Raging Bull? again, no idea what people discourse over.
5. A coaster that gets way too much hate?
My answer in 2017 was Cedar Creek Mine Ride lol. It’s a jank ride with no terrain usage outside of the drop over the lagoon, but i’ve got some good memories with it. Also I didn’t find the restraints on Superman: The Ride at SFNE that bad, but idk, maybe i’m just built different. They’re not ideal tho.
6. Your thoughts on B&M Hypers?
When they hit, they hit. The powerful yet graceful airtime they deliver is simply euphoric. I like the speed hill on Candymonium, hope the hill on mako is just as good whenever I make it down to Florida lol
7. Your thoughts on Intamin Mega-Lites?
They look, pretty good. Coaster designs have becomes much wilder since, so I don’t have an urgent desire to ride one. But I would probably still find it quite fun!
8. Your thoughts on Maurer Spinning coasters?
The standard layout is alright. I think the gerstlauer spinners are better, but some of the custom maurer layouts look interesting.
9. Your thoughts on Schwarzkopf?
If only they were the more successful coaster manufacturer of their era... they knew how to shape track better than their contemporaries, and some of their design quirks are really cool, like the super postive heavy loops.
10. Your thoughts on Zierer?
I’ve been on a couple Tivolis, they’re fine. Impulse at Knoebels is an alright eurofighter knock-off, thank god they replaced the trains though, the originals from Zierer sucked.
11. Your thoughts on Gravitykraft?
They know how to make rides with good fuckin’ airtime. I love Boardwalk Bullet and Ravine Flyer II.
12. Your thoughts on Gerstlauer?
They have improved since their earlier days making janky coasters, but I definitely get why people might not vibe with their inversion-heavy layouts. I hope I get to go on some of their wackier rides in Europe someday
13. Name 8 parks you want to visit in your home country
Busch Gardens Tampa
Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Canobie Lake Park
Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Silverwood
California’s Great America
Six Flags Over Georgia
14. Name 8 parks outside of the your home country that you want to visit
Canada’s Wonderland
Hansa Park
Europa Park
Phantasialand
Alton Towers
Gröna Lund
Liseberg
Tokyo DisneySea
15. Name three coasters you want to ride in these countries:
France: OzIris, Alpina Blitz, Toutatis
Italy: iSpeed, Katun, Storm
Germany: F.L.Y., Taron, Karnan
Netherlands: Untamed, Baron 1898, Troy
Belgium:  Kondaa, Ride To Happiness, Anubis: The Ride
Japan: Steel Dragon 2000, Hakugei, Slope Shooter
Canada: Leviathan, Mindbender, Dragon Mountain
Country of your choice (Spain): Shambhala, Gotham City Escape, Muntanya Russa (Tibidabo)
16: How would you fix a coaster that you don’t like? (No Removal or RMC-ing)
Do an actually good retrack of Wildcat @ Lake Compounce! I don’t understand why it is the way it is (as funny as the jackhammering is to me)!
17:  Your thoughts on Piraten (https://rcdb.com/4038.htm)
It’s a Mega-lite. see mega-lite question
18. Your thoughts on Takabisha (https://rcdb.com/9795.htm)
I’d like to go on it, it seems like a neat ride. I don’t totally fuck with Gerst, but I’m not completely uninterested in their various coasters.
19. Your thoughts on Olympia Looping (https://rcdb.com/13819.htm)
I need that weirdly shaped loop in my life. Have yet to go on a traveling Schwarz
20. Your thoughts on Monster (https://rcdb.com/12896.htm)
I need that weirdly shaped loop in my life. Despite not being as much of a thoosie anymore, I still really want to go to Adventureland in Iowa for the sake of writing a lesbian roadtrip novel.
21. Your thoughts on Nefekesen (https://rcdb.com/10831.htm)
this copypasta has some of the weirdest questions, I swear to god. I heard it’s a really short ride, so maybe it’s like Maxx Force? But I don’t think I’ll ever ride it.
22. Your thoughts on Verbolten (https://rcdb.com/9463.htm)
Funny German woman say things. the show building looks kinda eh, but i’ll probably still enjoy it.
23. Your thoughts on Abismo (https://rcdb.com/3185.htm)
The concept of an extended Maurer Sky Loop is cool, but I can live without experiencing it. Leaving the thoosie community due to thoosie trauma really make you reevaluate how much you need to ride coasters.
24. Your thoughts on Hydra (https://rcdb.com/2528.htm)
I had a pretty good ride on it in the front the one time I was at Dorney. The jojo roll is fun, and there’s also a couple good airtime moments. I think I like Bizarro better though? It’s tough bc B&M Floorless coasters are kinda eh in general.
25. Favorite coaster to ride at night?
Steel Vengeance! ride runs so fast through the first half at night the airtime is painful! and i’m into that.
26. Favorite coaster theme?
Hagrid bike, probably. Following the construction of it through bioreconstruct on Twitter was a fun time in my life, and all the architecture and scenery looks pretty good.
27. Favorite coaster logo?
The Millennium Force swooshy “M“. So slay. (i was not able to upload the file to tumblr for some reason)

The power of autism has blessed me with being obsessed with rollercoasters and theme parks. This blessing brought about the greatest 2 hours of my life
Before 2pm on Thursday 20th July 2023, my brother had never heard of the German theme park Phantasialand. By 4pm on Thursday 20th July 2023, my brother had not only heard of it, but has also made plans to go with me next year. These plans don't stop at "let's go together next year". No, they go into detail including:
How we're going to get there (train)
Where we're going to stop off at along the way (Brussels for one night)
How long we're going to stay for (3 nights, 4 days)
A list of our most anticipated rides (they're identical)
What food venues we want to try (almost all of them)
What bars we want to visit (and what drinks we want to try)
What we'd do in the hypothetical scenario where we both entered a relationship prior to going and decided to bring them with us (make them go on all the rides with us because if they were to back out then we'd know that they're not going to stay out partners for much longer)
The only thing we haven't planned is our budget and I love that for us.

...I've been thinking about the cuddle-ability of my Alton Towers and Phantasialand OCs and
Galactica's would feel so,,, I literally get little stomach flips thinking about it.
So they have feathery wings, yeah? Ones that showcase a spot in the universe, and the stars on the feathers shift as they do in spacetime. The universe is literally their wings.
The hug would include them wrapped around you firmly, but it would not feel restrictive. It would feel heavy yet like a cold breeze in the blazing sun, comparable to the feeling of goosebumps spreading throughout your body. And of course the feathers are properly maintained, so they are soft like a Maine Coon's fur.
They would do that Forehead Thing as they cradle your neck, arms going under yours and wrapping around snugly.
Just arrheggegwgwgw physical affection my beloved
Also Taron would be the 2nd best hugger from any of that lot, despite how rare it'd be. They're just a bloody tank so it'd be all encompassing and very protective. This isn't really how he expresses affection, though. He only really hugs those who need it.

#2 A Lucky Ride
Heya, I've been staying home sick today, that did give me enough time to write tho 😂Finals are coming up so I won't be able to update as much for the next month or so.
Anyways, enjoy my freshly baked fanfic buttercups~!! 💙💐💙💐💙
Summary: Class 1-A has a field trip to Phantasialand, Japan's #1 amusement park. Aizawa stands in line for the newest rollercoaster, when a man tries to cut in front of woman. He steps in and realises the young lady is his Soulmate.
Soulmate AU: One of your eyes changes its colour to that or your soulmate, when you first meet.
Words: ~ 2000
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Principle Nezu was quite worried about the mental health of Class 1-A’s students, They have been through a lot as of late. So he decided that they needed a day to just enjoy themselves and forget their recent misfortunate encounters. “That’s why I booked 23 tickets to Phantasialand, Japan’s greatest theme park!” The students were thrilled!
Their homeroom teacher? not so much. He had to watch over these unruly kids the whole day, together with their english teacher and All Might.
Two days later they all left to the popular amusement park. Aizawa slept the whole ride, knowing he wouldn’t get a moment's rest the moment they'll arrive. When the bus stopped, the tired teacher made the announcement that they had to be back at the entrance at the given time, gave his phone number to all students in case of emergency and passed them an entrance ticket.
It didn’t take long for the students to run off with their friends, leaving behind the 3 adults to plan their own course of action. Hizashi wanted to drag the other two teachers to go on the different roller coasters with him, but was reminded by Aizawa about Yagi’s condition, leaving him unable to enjoy most of the rides. So Aizawa reasoned with Hizashi that he could enjoy a few rides while the two of them stayed behind. The former symbol of peace shouldn’t be left alone anyways for he doesn’t have the power to defend himself anymore. It didn’t feel right with Hizashi to be the only one to enjoy the park, but was reassured by All Might who told him he didn’t mind to wait and by Aizawa who said he should enjoy the park while he could. They weren't at Japan's #1 theme park everyday.
Hizashi came back after a few hours, telling the two of them he has been in the park’s newest and fastest attraction. “Sho, you should try it too. I’ll stay with Yagi.” The tired teacher didn’t want to leave the comfortable seat the cafe had provided him and the older blonde. Be that as it may, he couldn’t argue with Yagi when he said that Aizawa should also enjoy the rides when he could. I mean, he did tell hizashi to enjoy the rides while he still could, reasoning before that they weren’t at Japan’s greatest theme park everyday.
So here he was, swallowing his own advice while waiting in line for the park’s newest hit, ‘The Thunderbolt’. Hizashi told his best friend that he had to go in this particular attraction. What he hadn’t told the already tired man, was that this happened to be the ride with the longest waiting queue.
“What do you think your doing?”
So, of course, some people are going to try to cut the line. He turned his attention to the bickering behind him. A man was trying to walk past a young woman, who stepped side to side every time the man tried to walk past her.
“I’m trying to get to my friends at the front of the line, so move aside.” The woman still used her body as an obstacle to prevent the man from walking past her.
“No, if your friends truly were in front of the line, then why didn’t you just wait with them?” She did have a point there, but the man did not like her reasoning. He shoved her aside, slipping in front of her. She grabbed him by his jacket, trying to create just enough space by shoving him too to get in front of him again. Now the man was pretending to be a human obstacle, making sure the woman had no chance to get past him.
“Hey now lady, not my fault you don’t have the patience to wait another round.” He said to the woman tauntingly. They continued their bickering for another few minutes, Aizawa hated waiting lines now more than ever. He didn’t want to meddle with the two behind him, but when the man slapped the young lady’s arm away, calling her things like ‘an inpatient b*tch’, he had enough.
“Take my place,” the two stopped their childish actions and looked at the pro hero before them, “If you promise to not cut the line any further and leave her alone than you can take my place.” The man mumbled a ‘fine’ and made his way in front of Aizawa.
He himself went to stand beside the woman, who is currently rubbing the spot on her arm where the man had hit her. “Is your arm doing alright?”
The woman nodded, “Yes, i’m fine, I’m sorry you lost your spot because of me.”
“It’s not your fault, he was the one in the wrong.”
“Yeah, thank you for saying that. But now i’m feeling bitter that he’s getting what he wanted though.” The woman bit her lip.
“You don’t have to worry about that.”
She looked at him questionably, to which he whispered ‘you’ll see’. “Also, I don’t think I caught your name yet, my name is Shouta Aizawa.” He held out his hand for you to shake. You returned an introduction of your own as you shook his hand, smiling to your new found acquaintance. That smile quickly turned into shock for the both of you,
“Your eyes.”
“Your eyes.”
You look at the raven haired male who now has one black eye to match. The other one had faded to match the hue of your own eyes. His now heterochromatic eyes looked at you in shock as he sees the same change in one of your own, although that one darkens to an obsidian black.
Your soulmates
Aizawa couldn’t believe it, after all these years. You looked at him with the same kind of shock on your face, “Could it be that we-”
“-we might be, yes.” His widened eyes softened when he heard you giggle. Suddenly he felt an enjoyable warmth rush through him when he looked at your happy expression. It felt as if you two have known each other for the longest of times by how comfortable he feels around you all of a sudden.
“What a way to meet,” you said through your giggles, “I never expected it to go like this.”
He smiled at you, “Neither did I.” He considers himself lucky he found you, because this meeting has proven itself to be quite interesting.
The two of you took the next 30 minutes to get to know eachother better. He learned that you worked in Musutafu as well, although you lived in Tokyo, which means you don’t live to far away. You learned he was a teacher, pro hero and that he was here on a field trip with his class and 2 other teachers, that he was forced to stand in line here by his friend and was now pretty grateful for his best friends pestering to try one of the rides.
“I’m grateful your friend forced you too.” you said amused. That's when. one of the employees walked by on the side of the waiting line. Aizawa called for his attention, explaining about what happened half an hour ago. They were at the end of the line and it was almost their turn, as is the rude man’s.
You and Aizawa look at the scene in front of you as the employee tells the man to go all the way back to the beginning of the line. “What?! Why would I do that, i’ve been waiting for almost a whole hour.”
Their bickering continues as you look at your newfound lover in shock, “Did you really just wait till the very last second to tell the employees?”
A smirk painted itself on your soulmates face, “I might have.”
“You do know we’ve been standing here for a whole hour right? As did he.” You said while pointing at the rude man, who is now arguing with the employee.
“I know,” he answered while looking at the same scene as you, “I can be quite patient when I have to be.” the man gets escorted away and Aizawa glaces at the man one more time, “Unlike others.”
You laugh at his comment, extremely content with the way this ended. The man got his karma, you two could enjoy the rollercoaster ride a round earlier and you got to experience it all with your new found love. This really was a lucky ride for the two of you.
The both of you didn’t have a long time before you had to return to your own group of friends/students. You had agreed with your friends to all just choose a last attraction to go in before you went back home. Aizawa arranged with his students to meet at the entrance, as did you with your friends. The walk back to the entrance was a quiet, but a comfortable one as your hands brushed numerous times, making you feel giddy from the subtle contact between you two.
Your group was already waiting at the entrance while his students were checking in group by group, still missing a few.
“I’d like for us to meet again,” You said shyly, your cheeks rose coloured.
Aizawa smiled, “Yeah, me too,” he took his phone out of his pocket and held it out for you “Let’s exchange phone numbers.”
You smiled sheepishly as you took the handsome teacher’s phone, giving yours in exchange. You had just put your number in his contacts when your friends called you over, yelling that it’s time to go.
“I suppose I’ll hear from you soon,” you said, and planted a kiss on his cheek “Goodbye, Shouta.” You walked around the startled man, who was quietly watching you leave.
An almost unnoticeable shade of red dusted his cheeks. It may be illogical, but he was already thinking about your second meeting. Hoping to be able to contact you as soon as possible to arrange a new meeting. Or perhaps a date? He really was lucky to have shared that ride with you.
~Extra~
The arm that wrapped itself around his shoulders snapped him out of his thoughts, Hizashi was looking over his shoulder to the park’s entrance where they just lost sight of you. The now heterochromatic eyed teacher looks at his best friend to see the massive grin plastered on his face, “Wanna tell me what that was about? Because by the looks of it,” the blonde circled his index finger in front of Shouta’s face, referring to the difference in colour between his eyes “it seems like you found your soulmate, hmm?”
Aizawa sighed and went to join the group of students that started to form itself a little further away from the entrance. “Oh come on, Sho! At least tell me how it happened~”
He tried to keep the excitement from his friend to minimum, so he wouldn’t cause the students to be unruly as well, but that attempt was futile when one of them noticed his eyes. Of course, it was Ashido who exclaimed loudly, “Mr Aizawa, what happened to your eye!?”
This caused all the student's to turn their attention to their homeroom teacher. When he was about to answer that it wasn’t any over their business, ‘Zashi jumped in, exclaiming just as loudly as their pink student that their homeroom teacher had finally found his soulmate~
The girls squealed excitingly, saying things like ‘cute!’ and asking him how it happened, while the guys asked what she looked like.
“Come on Sho, you have to tell us all about her!”
“Mr Aizawa, what is she like!?”
“Is she more the quiet and shy type, or a total badass!?”
“Can we meet her too!?”
He already knew this morning that he wouldn’t get a moments rest, because of these kids, as soon as the bus reached its destination….but he didn’t mind it as much this time.
“Does she have big boobs?”
Nevermind
So since 2017 is coming to an end soon I thought I would post some of my highlights from this year. 2017 wasn’t so bad for me to be honest so here it goes:
1.) My 25th birthday was awesome. I love my friends very much. They knew how obsessed I was (and still am) with SPN and gifted me with a self-made Supernatural Cluedo which is so awesome! More awesome than the first five season of SPN in my opinion XD
2.) Flying to Manchester for 10 days and topic it all of with Asylum 18, my first ever Supernatural Convention and it was so awesome! I’m addicted now even so I spent so much money. I love my wall!
3.) My visit to Phantasialand with my best friend and having fun riding the rollercoasters. First time in years I’ve been able to do that thanks to my weight loss. I had so much fun!
4.) Getting my invitation pass for JIBLand next year and all the photo ops I wanted. (I’m poor know but it’s worth it!)
5.) The wedding of my cousin this year and getting my hair done for it. The wedding wasn’t as fun and I had an emotional break down after it BUT getting my hair done and looking pretty was still a highlight!
6.) Doing Gishwhes with my friends this year. They needed a bit of convincing but we really had so much fun doing it and bonded even more as friends over it. (Sadly we didn’t win though XD)
9.) Supernatural season 13. The new season is awesome so far. And I have a new favourite:
Tumblr media
10.) And last but not least: Starting this blog for my writing. I met so many kind, lovely and awesome people here who brighten my mood and make me smile every single day:
@thing-you-do-with-that-thing @like-a-bag-of-potatoes @tngrayson @roxyspearing @supernatural-jackles @mysupernaturalfics @malicezero @just-another-winchester @percywinchester27 @carryonmyswansong
and many more! Thank you for being the great people you are! Thank you for your love and support. Just Thank you.
Such is life! Behold, a new Post published on Greater And Grander about Climate Catastrophe Theme Park Proposal
See into my soul, as a new Post has been published on http://greaterandgrander.com/2020/05/climate-catastrophe-theme-park-proposal/
Climate Catastrophe Theme Park Proposal
Climate Catastrophe, A Greater & Grander Proposal
A river rapids ride that takes you through the streets of a flooded London, as the historical landmarks collapse around you, and you surf the wild rapids through Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery.
Climate Catastrophe Story
Guests are invited to take a relaxing and scenic view of London via a boat ride on the Thames, with THAMES TIDES.  This boat river cruise is owned and operated by the husband and wife team, Mr. Jerry Tropical and Dr. Jamie Tropical.  Jamie helps track the tides and other environmental data, while Jerry promotes the business, and while she continuously warns him about inclement weather, Jerry (being an entrepreneur) keeps wanting to go off and do his own thing.
The two reside in present-day London, and even though they are married and have many things in common, they want different things.  Dr. Jamie Tropical wants to study science and warn people about climate change while Jerry Tropical wants to live life carefree, and be his own boss.  Jamie fears most people getting hurt, while Jerry fears most losing out on business.
Climate Catastrophe: Ride Queue
The queue is the most important location in telling the story of the attraction. Here, guests make their first impressions and it is also where story of the attraction starts. The queue that we have designed is modeled after a scaled-down version of the London Tower bridge, to about the size of a pedestrian bridge.  This allows us to compact the space by having the loading area under the bridge, while also offering an in-theme walkway from the streets of our land to the attraction.
As our guests enter the bridge queue, there will be audio and video from our London boat tour hosts, Mr. and Dr. Tropical. They will engage in comedic skits that discuss the history of the Thames, and also the pressing science of global warming.  The atmosphere is comedic and fun, and designed to play up the conflict on global warming between commerce and science.  In order to facilitate the comedic sketches there will be approximately 20 HD flat screens, and 50 directional speakers placed along the ride queue.  We have specifically chosen directional speakers to avoid noise pollution bleeding into the greater theme park.
Along the queue area, there will be several coin-operated water guns, colored red and yellow (after the British fire truck designs) where guests can shoot water into the rafts as they begin their ride.
In addition, portions of the bridge will be decorated with engravings and stained glass windows that portray floods through the ages, as a form of foreshadowing.  As part of this climate-conscious artwork, we will be reaching out to popular British street artists, including Carrie Reichardt, SpY, and Banksy.
The bridge queue is broken up into two guest demographics, the Standby and FastPass/ExpressPass queues. We estimated that the ride would be quite popular and decided that Disney’s FastPass system (or Universal’s Express Pass system) would help in guest satisfaction. FastPass is a ride reservation system where guests can receive tickets that "save" their place in the queue while they go and enjoy other attractions. At the time printed on the tickets, guests can return to the attraction and "jump" back in line.
After guests have navigated the bridge portion of the queue, they descend via a gothic stone spiral staircase to the banks of the Thames, which will take us to our loading area.  Underneath our Tower Bridge, guests will load into 12 person rafts/tubes.
After our guests load into the raft, the raft is hoisted up a special elevator to begin their journey.  While in the elevator, a special audio/video track will play about the heart of London, and how the city (and many others like it) is at risk from climate change.
The elevator allows us to minimize the footprint of the park and eliminate lengthy ramps.
Climate Catastrophe: The Ride
CALM BEFORE THE STORM; Our guests exit the elevator, and begin a nice leisurely ride down the river Thames, going under prominent bridges, which drip water ever so slightly on our guests.
STREETS; Suddenly, an alarm sounds, and our guests veer down a dramatic waterfall.  The scenery changes as the river has flooded, and the guests are now moving through the streets of London.
FOUNTAINS; The rapids are wild, and our guests pass water fountains like the Shaftesbury Statue and the Temple Bar Dragon Sculpture, which shoots water at our guests.
TOPPLING COLUMN; Guests pass under large landmarks like Cleopatra’s Needle or Nelson’s Column, which gives out under the flood, and crash down, stopping just before it hits our guests.
FIRE EFFECTS; Guests pass Big Ben, when all of a sudden, a huge ball of flames erupts from it.  Behind Big Ben is a concrete-enforced barrier with a sky painting background for protection of our guests.
WATERFALL; Guests pass underneath another large bridge, with a waterfall descending down from it the full width of the flume, soaking all our guests.
FIRE TRUCK; As our guests continue on, the buildings get shorter and shorter, giving the illusion that the flood is increasing.  Emergency lights flicker as our guests pass a fire truck that is flooded up to the Roto-Ray lights on top.
DESCENT; Our guests then descend into the flooded National Art Gallery (show building).
ATRIUM; Inside the National Gallery, lights shine down through cloudy atriums high overhead, and lights illuminate from under the water, illuminating vague shapes.
GOTTA VAN GO!; Guests pass psychedelic interpretations of classic paintings, including Van Gogh’s masterpieces.  Some paintings like Van Gogh’s Two Crabs, appear to come to life, and jump out of the frame, into the water.
PORTRAITS; Guests pass rows and rows of paintings of classic portraits whose eyes are anxiously bobbing left to right.
EXIT & RELOADING; Then our guests exit out of the show building and return safely to the Thames embankment to exit the ride.
Climate Catastrophe Technical Details
Climate Catastrophe is an estimated 3 minutes and 35 seconds ride time.  The ride will have a maximum dispatch interval of 20 seconds.  Our ride vehicles will have an estimated capacity of 12 people per boat.  When fully calculated, the ride capacity will be able to accomodate 2,160 per hour, with the option to optimize the ride to up to 2,500 people per hour.
The ride track uses a folding and weaving method to maximize the use of the space while extending the ride time.  This, combined with the elevator system, allows the ride to take up half of the space a comparable ride would take up, allowing more real estate for shops.
Holland - Place of History, Tradition and Enjoyment!
Tucked away in the southern part of Holland, in the western Netherlands, could be the community and former municipality of Valkenburg. In 2006 numerous districts in your community were merged together to make the municipality and community of Katwijk, which today involves Valkenburg together of its districts. Valkenburg presents college activities tours a great location with comfortable access from the important airports and a bigger city, while however giving a community feel. Among the highlights of a trip to Valkenburg is the opportunity to understand subject tennis and how exactly to perform or increase students'games. While in Valkenburg students can understand the real history of subject tennis, some of the very popular players, and actually get the opportunity to spend an afternoon at the Phantasialand amusement park.
Area Baseball - It's thought that depictions from Ancient Greece, circa 200 B.C.E., possibly demonstrate among the forerunners of modern subject tennis; players in the images are pursuing a ball with a horn. Today, young players on college activities tours no further need certainly to pursuit the ball with a horn, but rather use modern interpretations of the'stay'that may be produced from wood,  one holland village fibreglass or other accepted materials. Throughout their time in Valkenburg students can understand much about the guidelines of outdoor subject tennis and how it differs from the indoor variety. In addition, they will get to try out their new abilities on and off the pitches, with specialised coaches and organised suits against different groups in the area.
Famous Faces of Area Baseball - As the 2nd most widely used activity in Holland, it will come as not surprising that the subject tennis has a unique set of popular titles mounted on it. While on college activities tours to Holland, learning how exactly to perform subject tennis and increase personal and group abilities, students are bound to discover many of them and be influenced to find out about what built them great. Several of those players are: Australia's Fergus Kavanagh and Kiel Brown; Spain's Ramód Alegre, who was simply part of the 2008 Olympic silver honor earning group; and the UK players Simon Mantell, who helped his group end fifth in the 2008 Olympics, and John Tindall, fabled for being called the UK Baseball Writer's Player of the Year in 2006.
Phantasialand - During college activities tours to Valkenburg, students will also need to be able to curl up, breeze down and just involve some fun. Merely a small coach journey out is Phantasialand. Situated in European Germany, Phantasialand was after a household design park, but has added a host of fascinating trips in new years. The park has rollercoasters and shows aplenty. Many fit the park's various themed places such as for example: Berlin, Fantasy, Mexico, China, Puzzle, and Deep in Africa. Phantasialand is really a ideal area for students to have a separate from pounding the subject tennis pitches of Valkenburg.
Roller Coaster Reviews - Icon “Faff: The Ride” 😉
Before I get into things I just want to let anyone know reading this that what I write is my own opinion, I respect others’ opions and I ask everyone to do the same.
Also please excuse any spelling or punctuation mistakes, I have dyslexia and sometimes even spell correct can’t help me 🤣😒
I want to start using this space as a way of expressing about how I feel about Theme/Amusement Parks and roller coasters I experience. Me, my partner and our group of friends often visit a few times a year to U.K and European attractions and we have quite a varied list of places and roller coasters and theme parks we have visited already with new ones on the list to go.
But in this blog I will be writing about what I think about the new(ish) ride that opened at Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach last year “Icon” A Mack double launch coaster which set Amanda Thompson back  £16,250,000  Which for a small family amusement park is a major investment and shows promise for the future of the park.
I live in London, which means Blackpool is a six to seven hour drive to get there from my house, in fact we can get to Liseberg in Sweden or Phantasialand in Germany quicker then it takes us to get to the Pleasure Beach.
We are not a massive fans of the Pleasure Beach, especially my partner who mainly goes for the social meet up and the awesome Weatherspoons down the road for a drink/shesh! I don’t mind Pleasure Beach, it falls under the category “Its so bad its a laugh” But even I have to admit the park is bit naf 😂
But when they announced they was getting a brand new attraction in the form of a Mark launched coaster I was really looking forward to riding it, after all my current favourite is Helix at Liseberg and the fact we was getting a similar ride in the U.K really got me hyped.
Doubts started to arise though because we already knew that Pleasure Beach dose not look after their coasters well, most all of the rides are run down and back braking rough (Regardless of where you sit 😜)
Even more doubts stared to arise when we first saw a video of the train going around the track, our initial reaction was “that looks so slow” But we remained open minded because it was only testing so it might speed up when it opens (Spoiler alert! It doesn't)
So we was all there at Blackpool for the first day of the season eager to try it out! Our first hiccup was when we was getting our wristbands. I think the staff member knew we was roller coaster fans because once she gave us the wristbands she dished the ultimate shade and said “All the rides are open except Icon...” Me and my partner’s heat sank and thought the horrific drive was a waist of time but luckily after a unnecessary long pause she said “Which opens at 11″ Then we both let out a sigh of relief.
So after all that the ride finally opened and we didn’t seem to wait that long if I remember write. I remember saying the queue line was fairly short for a “major attraction” I can see the line going out of the gates and by the gift shop on busy days myself.
Now, the ride it’s self. I like style of the ride, it looks nice and the station or as we call it “shed” looks good on the inside but the outside it just looks like an industrial facility building with a random/pointless price of structure on the top.
The only thing I would say about the station itself is the music is a bit too load for my taste when you get inside. We couldn't hold a conversation standing next to each over.
Once we boarded and got in our seats was was ready to go! It starts off moving forward and we’re getting ready for the launch and it stops! We looked at each over and forward again, after what seemed a very long time the launch starts, which in my opinion is not needed, it would be much better if it went straight into the launch, now I use the word launch very lightly because it has zero fores and as a “launch” coaster that was already a disappointment. Then it goes over a airtime hill through The Big One which is good and dose give some weightlessness sometimes but not consistency in my experiences.
After that is where the ride gets its “Faff: The Ride” title because it meanders around as if it dose not know where it wan’t to go, the layout makes it seem like the sort of ride I make on Planet Coaster when I have no idea what I’m doing and just clicking to add track and click “auto complete” 👀
The only time it goes upside down is the corkscrew which is again o-k but because the ride is so slow it has no excitement to it.
The next part is my favourite part of the ride is the double-down segment into the tunnel, when the smoke effect is on it’s even more enjoyable it’s this segment I get the most forces on this ride.
After this is the totally unnecessary second launch, I say its unnecessary because it dose not speed up the train in the slightest, it goes the exact (low) speed as it did before during and after the launch which vexed me, on Helix both launches, especially the second one has a real force where you get pushed back into your seat. Whereas on Icon you can easily sit forward for both which as a “thrill” coaster is a real disappointment.
After that is the mini top hat section which is.... Meh, its a nice part of the ride but again because Icon has no speed or force to it just feels like the ride has given up on life!
The final element is the S bend segment, again enjoyable to a degree but because its so slow by the second or third one I’m board now and ready to get off! Which after this is exactly what happens the train comes back to the station.
Overview:
 Icon is an enjoyable ride but as it’s marketed as a thrill ride I really expected more after already riding Helix many times before this ride I thought it would be fast, thrilling and full of forces which I am sorry to say Icon is not. In my opinion it is more of a family attraction. If it was advertised as a family ride I could understand why its so slow and dull but as a thrill coaster it is a disappointment. However it dose/will make the offensively long drive to Blackpool kind’a worth it.
Thank you for reading my review of Icon at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, let me know what you think if Icon, do you like it? Is it a welcome addition to the park? Let me know!
Please share and follow!
Love, Roller-Coaster-Dan❤😊
