Take a second and think about how when Jude was trapped in the Undersea and Cardan was, you know, gazing out to sea and longing for her, he knew what it was like in the Undersea, remembered how much he hated it there, and was probably thinking about how she was trapped in this place that he hated and he had no way to reach her.
