ten things hwang hyunjin says when he thinks you’re asleep — fluff, established relationship, a twitch of angst

just released a lee know long fic if you guys are interested to read! :)
Tumblr media
one. it's been exactly a year since i picked up my paint brush again. god, i still remember when i thought i'd forever let go of art. i've learned to trade my dreams for security anyway, there was no point in indulging in something i had no future in. but then i met you, and i will never forget the moment i realized i was in love with you. that night, i painted until the sun was up. thank you for inspiring me again, my muse.
two. you hold light wherever you go, did you know? that same light you see in others lives inside of you too. i will make sure you know that, even if i have to tell you every day.
three. i think you look prettiest when you laugh and you think no one's looking at you. it always fills me with a warmth i've never known.
four. you make life so achingly beautiful for me.
five. ah, i feel so sentimental tonight. i guess, it's just the thought that years ago, i had my heart broken and i thought it could never get better from there. but you helped me make it whole again. maybe all that heartbreak was always meant to point me to where you are. thank you. thank you. thank you.
six. the loud voices in my head are a little quieter now. i think it's because of you.
seven. remember when chan had convinced us to go hiking with him and his significant other? oh my god, that was a disaster. and i know we said we'd never do it again, but some part of me wants to. maybe it's for the view, or the way you looked when we finally reached the top. you looked so beautiful. i really did feel a great deal of comfort being with you where the whole world didn't know. i didn't even think about the exhausting hike back. just that you were there, the only thing that makes sense to me, beside me. you said you hated it because you paled out, but beautiful things pale out—the sunrise, flowers, you. you’re the most beautiful of them all.
eight. i hope you love me as much as i love you.
nine. you will always have me. please don't ever doubt how i feel for you. i will always choose you, over and over and over again, in every lifetime. without doubt, without hesitation, without second thought. i will always choose you. again and again and again.
ten. i can't believe i've finally found the love i've been yearning for all my life. thank you. i love you. i'm a better person because of you. meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me.

Stray Kids Kinktober Day 10
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stray Kids Kinktober Masterlist
Praise Kink - Hyunjin
Word Count: 11.7K
Summary: As a lead detective in the police department, you've been assigned to solve a serial killer case, but you've hit a point where you can no longer work on the case by yourself. Hwang Hyunjin, the golden child of the police department and your sworn rival, is assigned as your partner.
---------------------------------------
You have officially run out of red string.
The cork board in the conference room doesn’t have any more open spaces for new leads or clues. You can’t even see the brown of the board anymore.
Instead of whittling information down, you’ve only come up with more suspects for the case.
It’s better than the case going cold, sure, but it feels like you’re getting further and further from actually solving the damn thing.
It also doesn’t help that you not only have Chief Bang breathing down your neck, but the entire city as well. You understand, really, everyone wants a killer to be caught.
But these sort of things take time.
And they usually don’t have a million and thirty leads. Typically, you were lucky to have one.
Everyone in the city has a tip. And you have to check each and every single one.
Three sharp knocks draw your exhausted attention away from the board.
“Come in!” You call out.
The door clicks open and dress shoes click on the floor.
“I think you’re going to need another cork board soon, Detective.”
Your mood curdles like milk.
“What do you want, Hwang?”
Hwang Hyunjin, the department’s top detective and your least favorite person in the world.
Every case he touches is solved. Every last one of them. But maybe— just maybe— it’s because he gets to pick and choose which ones he’s assigned to.
The golden child of the police department. The biggest, cockiest pain in the ass you’ve ever met.
He clicks his tongue and walks up to the conference table you’re leaning against.
“I have a whole new stack of tips for you.”
The sound of a thick stack of papers hits the table, you cringe.
You haven’t even finished going through the last stack.
“And I am once again humbly offering my assistance on this case.”
You look over at him for the first time tonight. His long black hair is pulled back with a few strands dangling in front of his face.
He wears a pressed dress shirt, black tie, black vest, and slacks.
Truly, it looks like he popped off a magazine cover and you hate it.
“And I am humbly declining. I can handle this on my own, thank you.”
Your own heels click along the floor as you come around the conference table to sit down in front of the first stack of papers.
Hyunjin shoves his hands in his pockets and meanders closer to the cork board.
He looks up and down all the different leads, the ever expanding list of suspects, murder weapons, locations. He’s silent for a long moment.
The only sound in the room is the clock ticking on the wall.
What time is it anyway? You’ve been here since 4 AM when a call came in about another victim. The bags under your eyes surely look like bruises at this point.
Since you started on this case two months ago there hasn’t been a single night where you’ve gotten more than five hours of sleep.
Words are blending together on the paper. Is the sun up?
Warily, you turn and eye Hyunjin, who’s still staring at the cork board. His head cocks to the side as he studies all the different clues littering the surface.
He takes a deep breath and turns to look at you. You point an accusatory finger at him.
“No! No, no. You’re not coming in here and solving my case that I’ve been working on for months!”
His mouth shuts, a smirk appears.
Oh, you want to smack it off his face.
“I was only going to say—“
“No! Nothing! I do not need your help! Get out of here!” You shoo him away.
“L/N—“ he tries again.
“Shut it!”
Hyunjin rolls his eyes and sucks his teeth while making his way to the door.
You glare daggers into the back of his head, praying that a ceiling tile will miraculously fall and crush him.
He grabs the door handle and walks into the hallway. Right before the door closes, he peeks his head in through the crack.
“The killer is ambidextrous,” he says in a sing-songy voice.
A frustrated, muted scream tears from your throat and you hurl the nearest object— which happens to be a metal cup full of pens and pencils— at the door.
It shuts before the cup makes contact.
Hyunjin’s laugh comes through the closed door and it only makes your blood boil more.
You slam your head down onto the wood desk.
“Of course he’s ambidextrous.”
---------------------------------------
“Detective L/N,” Chief Bang’s head pokes into the conference room. “Can I see you in my office please?”
You haven’t gone home yet. You’re in the same clothes as yesterday except now they’re more wrinkled.
Nodding, you put down your pen and tell your chief you’ll be there in a minute.
He hums and leaves the room.
You rub the heels of your palms into your eyes to try and get the exhaustion out of them.
About 100 ounces of coffee is flowing through your body but it’s doing nothing to wake you up, all it’s doing is increasing your heart rate.
To anyone else who wanders through your police department, they might think you’ve escaped the morgue.
The walk to Chief Bang’s office was short.
As soon as you step inside, your heart sinks.
The chief sits behind his desk, but that’s not why your stomach turns.
Hyunjin takes up one of the chairs, another freshly pressed suit on his body.
The man is flawless and it makes you want to become a suspect for one of your cases.
“Take a seat, detective.” Chief Bang motions to the other empty chair.
Hyunjin looks up at you, arms crossed over his chest. A smug smirk pulls on his lips as he takes in your disheveled appearance.
You tongue your cheek for a moment and flip your hair over your shoulder before sitting down. Your fingers iron out deep wrinkles in your pencil skirt.
You try to maintain some level of pride. It’s comical, really.
“Now, I’ll cut right to the chase here, Y/N, it’s not that I don’t trust your abilities as a detective, I do.”
You deflate.
“But this case is becoming too much for one person.”
Your jaw clenches.
So badly you want to refute that claim, to tell Chief Bang that you have it handled, it’s no big deal. But that’s a lie and you both know it.
And the smug asshole next to you definitely knows it.
“Detective Hwang has kindly offered his assistance on the case, so I’m assigning him as your partner on this.”
You think for a moment. “Can I get a different partner? I think Detective Kim just closed his last case, meaning he’s available to help.”
“Detective Kim started a new case this morning.”
“Detective Lee?”
“Busy.”
“Officer Yang?”
“He’s not even a detective.”
“What about Detective Seo?”
Chief Bang stays silent, deadpan eyes watch you. He cocks his head to the side.
You sink back in the chair.
“I specialize in homicide cases, L/N.” Hyunjin pipes up from next to you. “I’m the best one for the case and you know it.”
“Zip it, Hwang.”
Hyunjin scoffs.
Chief Bang rolls his eyes, his patience obviously wearing thin. “Y/N, I’m going to need you to swallow your pride for the sake of the city. There’s a murderer on the loose, remember? You’re my top detectives, it would be stupid not to partner you together.”
You can’t meet his eyes, you look off to the side, crossing your arms over your chest. Anxiously, your leg begins to bounce.
“Put your personal feelings aside, Y/N.”
Silence falls over the room. Both of the men wait for you.
It really doesn’t feel like you have a choice, here. Obviously, you don’t.
“Fine.”
“Great!” Hyunjin taps his hands on the arms of the chair and then pops up. “I’m going to need access to all the files you’ve been looking at these past two months as well as the extra key to the conference room.”
He grabs his trench coat off the back of the chair.
“I’ll also need you to catch me up to speed on the latest tips from civilians; you did have time to read those last night, right? Additionally, I think we should rearrange our hours so that we’re on duty together until this is solved.”
He makes his way towards the door.
“Come on, L/N! We’ll discuss over coffee.”
You stare at Chief Bang. He offers you a slightly amused, slightly sympathetic smile.
“Best of luck, detectives.”
---------------------------------------
The hot mug rests between both of your shaky hands. Hyunjin sat across from you in a large diner booth.
Files littered the entirety of the top of the table. It’s all things you’ve seen before and practically have memorized by now.
You explained everything you knew to him from the beginning, sparing no detail.
College girls were all found murdered in their dorms. No security footage of anyone going in or out of the building that doesn’t belong there.
Each victim is about two weeks apart.
A half eaten fruit cup sits next to your coffee. ‘Fruit cup’ is a loose term since more than half of it was honeydew melon.
Why can’t they just throw a few strawberries in there? Slice up a banana or toss a few blueberries in? They already have the fruit in the back for the pancakes, it would be so easy to—
“I don’t think this victim is from the same killer.”
Your head snaps up and you glare at Hyunjin. “Who?”
He slides the file across the table to you. “Andrea Bowman. She doesn’t fit the same profile as the other victims. All the others were blonde, Andrea has brown hair.”
You sip at your coffee, glazed eyes scanning the file. You’re simply too tired to keep up the anger.
“I had thought the same thing at first. But according to the coroner, her time of death would put her as the first victim of the killer, first victims of serial killers tend to not fit the profile of the rest since it’s the first taste.”
Her autopsy stares up at you.
“Plus, everything else is consistent with the rest, bruised wrists and ankles and a slit throat. They’re all college aged girls who went to the local community college.”
You slide the crime scene photos around, taking in all the details.
“Maybe she wasn’t his victim.” One of her school photos peeks out from the bottom of the stack, you pick it up and look at it solemnly. “But something tells me she was his first.”
Hyunjin watches you closely, any rebuttal he had died on the tip of his tongue.
Plates clatter in the kitchen.
Your nose scrunches and you pack away Andrea’s file.
“You said they all go to the same school?”
“Yeah, the community college.”
“Did they all study the same thing?”
You shake your head, taking another sip of coffee. “Nope, all different fields of study, all different extracurriculars. They didn’t even live in the same dorm building.”
Hyunjin leans back against the booth and picks up his iced coffee, taking a long sip while staring out the window.
Your fingers run through your hair. “I requested their transcripts and class schedules from every year but I’m waiting on all those requests to process. With how slow the registrar’s office is taking you would swear they didn’t want this case solved.”
“Red tape always gets in the way.” Hyunjin reaches down in his pocket and takes his phone out, tapping a few buttons and then holding it up to his ear.
You cock an eyebrow at him, he only holds up a finger at you. You scoff.
“Dianne? Hi, it’s Hyunjin!… I’m doing so well, and you? … That’s great to hear! … Yes, yes those homemade cookies were to die for.”
Your mouth falls open a bit. Who in the hell was he talking to? Homemade cookies?
Throwing your hands up in front of your face, you give him a flabbergasted look.
He narrows his eyes at you and gives you a look that says ‘be quiet’.
“Listen, I was actually calling to cash in a favor, I have a list of students I need transcripts and schedules of for a case. … I can email it over to you, it’s for the— … yes, yes that one.”
You slow blink at him. Does he have a contact at the registrar’s office? Of course he does, why wouldn’t he have one?
The golden child strikes again.
“You’re a darling, Dianne, thank you. I’ll send it to you asap. … of course, say hello to Rob for me. Bye!”
He hangs up and puts his phone back on the table.
Hyunjin takes one look at your face and shrugs. “What? I helped her with a personal matter when I was a P.I.”
If you roll your eyes anymore, they’ll go into the back of your head.
“So do you have a list—“
You interrupt him. “Yeah.”
“Can you—“
“Mhmm.”
You finish your coffee and reach into your purse, digging out a ten dollar bill and tossing it onto the table.
“Where are you going?” He asks you.
“Home,” you respond simply while shuffling out of the booth. “I haven’t slept since Monday.”
Hyunjin looks down at the various files on the table. “What about the list?”
You move the files around and pull out one of the papers and place it in front of him.
“It’s right here. I’ll see you tomorrow, Hwang.”
“Tomorrow? But what about—“
“If Dianne gets the list back to you, just forward it to me. I’ll look at it when I wake up.” Your voice is full of venom.
“I really think we should look at it together.” His eyes narrow. “We’re partners on this, remember?”
“As if you would even need my help,” you spit out. “By the time I come in tomorrow, you’ll probably have the entire case solved, the perp arrested, and all the paperwork done before I even pour my coffee.”
The more you talk, the more your anger levels rise. You lean over him in the booth, one of your hands on the back of the seat to keep you balanced.
Hyunjin’s eyes widen and he leans back as you go forward.
“The golden boy will strike again, solving a case that I’ve been working on for months and getting all the credit. Because that’s just how good you are. Mr. Perfect. Everything about you is just amazing.”
He gulps and shifts around. A red tint creeps up on his face.
And for the first time since you met him, Hwang Hyunjin is speechless. His mouth opens to say something several times but no sound comes out.
“Now. If you’ll excuse me.” You stand back up and turn on a heel, leaving the diner and a very flustered detective behind.
---------------------------------------
Knock after knock after knock after knock bangs on your apartment door.
You’re not sure of how long whoever’s been knocking has been at it, but it takes you a solid thirty seconds to wake up fully. You had peacefully drifted into a very deep sleep the moment your head hit the pillow.
The entire bedroom is pitch black, the sun no longer in the sky. The clock on your nightstand displays that it’s around 1 AM.
“What the fuck?” You slur out. It’s so hard to open your eyes right now.
The knocking persists.
With all the grace of a drunken newborn deer, you slither out of bed and make your way to your front door.
You flip on a light on your way there.
Staring through the peephole, a frown pulls at your face as soon as you see who’s banging on your door at this ungodly hour.
You rip the door open, startling Hyunjin. His hand still hangs in the air when you open it.
“Finally!” He shoves past you and into your apartment.
“No, please, come on in.” You growl and shut the door, securing all the locks in place again.
Behind you, you hear him slam a stack of papers onto your kitchen island.
“I forwarded you the transcripts hours ago but you didn’t answer.”
“I told you I would look at them when I woke up.”
He takes in your disheveled appearance with judging eyes. Your hair was all frizzy and out of place, a loose t-shirt hung off one shoulder and was so big you couldn’t see the shorts underneath.
His Adam’s Apple bobs with a swallow.
It was obvious he wasn’t used to seeing you in such a relaxed state. He was still wearing his dress pants from earlier, but he only had a dress shirt on with his trench coat over the top.
“You’re awake now, aren’t you?” He looks back down at the stack of files and opens them up, spreading papers everywhere.
You come up to the table and look down at everything.
Semesters of different class schedules stare back at you. Some have highlighted portions, others are still blank. He seems to have given up in the middle of doing it himself, opting to bring it here.
You tongue your cheek, looking over what you can see so far.
It’s going to be a long night.
“I’ll make coffee.”
---------------------------------------
Hours have passed, the sleepiness and weariness of being woken up has been replaced by the delightful thrum of caffeine in your veins.
After about a half an hour of going through the transcripts, you quietly asked Hyunjin if he was alright with you playing music softly.
He stared at you with wide eyes, “Ah, yeah, of course, that’s fine.”
You cocked an eyebrow. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah, I’m just… not used to you asking for permission before doing something.”
Grumbling, you rolled your eyes and picked your phone up to scroll through playlists. You settled on a calmer one full of music from artists like Lord Huron and Tom Rosenthal.
Since then the two of you have been silently going through each schedule.
Biting the end of the highlighter absentmindedly, you study the class schedule.
“I’m only seeing one similarity.” You say out loud. Hyunjin looks up. “This one class, it’s a gen ed Physics class. But each of these girls took it, all at different times though.”
“Which class?”
“PHYS 100. Same Professor– Dr. Furon.”
“Do you think we should bring the professor in for questioning?” he asks.
“Couldn’t hurt. Right now he’s the only common denominator. Is it anywhere on your transcript?”
Hyunjin flips through the pages. “Yep, right here, her freshman spring semester back in 2020.”
You pull out a sticky note and write down that info.
“Can you go through each one and tell me when they took the course?”
Hyunjin gathers all the stapled packets of papers up. “Yeah.”
---------------------------------------
You and Hyunjin stood shoulder to shoulder looking through the one way glass.
A near ninety year old man sat on the other side.
“So,” Hyunjin says to break the silence.
“So.”
“It can’t be him.”
“Obviously.”
Another long moment of silence.
He shoves his hands in his pockets. “Do you want to question him or should I?”
You sigh, watching as the professor fidgets with a loose string on his sweater sleeve. The officers had completely forgone the handcuffs, allowing him to sit at the table freely.
They also rolled in a comfier chair and gave him a cup of coffee.
“My case. I’ll do it.”
“ Our case.”
“Shut it, Hwang.”
You make your way into the interrogation room with a notepad tucked under your arm.
The professor looks up as soon as you open the door. He shakily stands up from his seat with proper manners.
You smile gently. “Dr. Furon, thank you so much for taking the time to come down.”
Both of you shake hands before sitting down. His grip is not firm whatsoever.
Arthritis.
“Oh, it’s no matter. Happy to be of help.”
You place the notepad down and scoot your chair in. “I’ll get right to it since I can see you’ll be our best help here. When analyzing the list of victims, we saw that each of them had taken your class before. It’s a small lead, I know, but it’s too much to sweep under the rug.”
He nods, listening carefully. He blanches and leans back. “I didn’t realize I had each of them. There are so many students in each section, there’s not enough time to learn names.”
He shakes his head.
“I had recognized a few in the paper, but I try not to do too much digging, it hurts too much to look into. I don’t know how you detectives do it.”
You reach across the table and grab his hands warmly. “I feel the same way about physics, I don’t know how you do it. All those equations.”
Dr. Furon cracks a smile. “Someone has to. But I do have help with all my courses. Each student has a specific discussion section once a week with a smaller class size, but they’re all taught by graduate students.”
You jot that down on your notebook and lean your chair back. You knock once on the window.
“On it.” Hyunjin’s muffled voice comes through the glass.
“Just one more question, Dr. Furon, I won’t take up any more of your time, this has been very valuable. Are there any students or people that you come in contact with that maybe trigger some alarm bells or a gut instinct?”
He shifts around, he really thinks about it.
“I really can’t think of anything, detective, I’m sorry. The girls’ names that I recognize were normal students too, granted they weren’t the best, but I do know they were doing their very best. Breaks my heart.”
You scribble that down and stand up.
“Thank you very much for your time, Dr. Furon. We greatly appreciate your help.”
He nods and stands up as well. “Of course, if I can do anything else, please give me a call.”
“If you think of anything else, here’s my card.” You reach across the table and hand him a small business card.
You showed the professor out of the room, asking if he needed anything. He patted your arm sweetly before leaving.
When you turn around, Hyunjin is standing there, waving a file around.
You roll your eyes. “I’m coming, I’m coming.”
---------------------------------------
Your apartment has become the unofficial meeting place for both you and Hyunjin once your shifts are over. The department wasn’t great for concentration.
They say not to take work home with you, but your home is so much cozier.
It’s only about 8 PM. Takeout containers take up a small portion of the kitchen island.
Another pot of coffee is brewing.
“So, between the victims, there are five different graduate students that taught their discussion sections. And one of them graduated last year.” Hyunjin flips through his notes.
You run your hands through your hair.
“So, four graduate students.”
“Yep.” He pops the ‘p’.
“Do we have any information on the four students?”
“No, but we have enough cause to bring them down to the station for questioning.”
You sigh and pick up your phone. “Let’s do that, then.”
A message is sent off to Chief Bang, he replies immediately saying he’ll contact them immediately and have them brought in and that he’ll call you when you can come in.
“I just don’t think it was any of the graduate students.” Hyunjin adds, sliding papers around to grab a victim’s file.
“I agree.”
He doesn’t seem to hear you. “Two of the graduate students are women— women don’t commit murders like this, the other two are masters in their field with promising careers.”
“I know, I agree with you, Hwang.”
“And I just don’t think that— wait, you agree?”
You stare at him with a blank expression. “Yes, I agree with you.”
He shifts around on the seat. His mouth opens and closes a few times before actually speaking. “You agree?”
Rolling your eyes, you place the papers down on the table. “Hwang, you know I would rather die than agree with you, but in this case, yes, I agree, I think you’re right.”
“Oh.”
Looking back down at the papers, you absentmindedly read a sentence in one of the witness statements. “I know you get the job done, I’m not going to put personal feelings before a case.”
Hyunjin fidgets more. “So, you think I’m a good detective?”
Is he serious?
You roll your eyes, still not looking up. “Yes, Hwang. Chief Bang has proclaimed you as one of the greatest detectives— everyone at the station knows that.”
“I just didn’t think you thought that way.”
“I’m not here to stroke your ego, Hwang.”
He clears his throat and shifts forward on his chair. “But do you , Y/L L/N, think I’m a good detective?”
Putting the paper down on the counter, you look up at him with a cocked eyebrow and a frown. “Really? Do your work.”
“Not until you say it.” He smirks and crosses his arms over his chest.
Rolling your eyes, you look down once more. What was on this page again?
“Choke.”
Hyunjin takes a breath to say something, but your phone lights up with a call at the same time. Expecting it to be Chief Bang, you answer quickly.
“Detective L/N.”
“Detective!” An old voice comes from the other line. You pull your phone back to look at the unknown number and then bring it back to your ear.
Hyunjin’s attention peaks at your confusion.
“It’s Dr. Furon, I apologize for calling so suddenly.”
“Oh, hi Doctor, it’s no trouble at all.” You look around for your notepad.
“Put it on speaker,” Hyunjin hisses while leaning forward. You shoo him off. He reaches forward to grab the phone from you, you smack his hand.
“I remembered something I didn’t get a chance to say earlier, I’m so sorry I didn’t think of it,” Dr. Furon continues.
“That’s quite alright, it’s the reason I gave you my number. Now, what is it?” You grab a pen and a random piece of paper.
Hyunjin reaches again, you smack his hand once more. “Speaker!” He grumbles again.
Dr. Furon talks, unaware of the petty brawl happening on the other line. “All of the students that are struggling in my class, I point them to the tutoring center in the library. As far as I remember, the names that were in the paper, the ones I recognize at least, they were going to the tutoring center.”
Your eyes widen and you write it down quickly.
Hyunjin’s patience wears out, he stands up from the counter and comes around to your side, his face dipping down to press his ear to the other side of the phone.
“Is there only one tutor available for your class?” you ask, jotting down notes.
“I’m not sure, I’m sorry. You know, now that I think of it, on their final exams, I give extra credit if they write down that they went to tutoring and name their tutor.”
“Do you have those exams?” Hyunjin asks into the phone. You reach over and flick his forehead. He swats your hand away.
“Oh, Detective Hwang, how are you?” Dr. Furon says politely.
“I’m doing very well, thank you.”
You go to smack him again, he once more swats your hand away.
The professor comes back to the conversation. “I have them but they’re in my office. Would you two mind coming to campus to get them tomorrow?”
“Of course,” both you and Hyunjin say at the same time.
You sneer and push his face away.
“Great!” Dr. Furon gives you all the details for tomorrow and the two of you hang up.
Placing your phone on the counter, you stand up to get away from Hyunjin.
“You could've put it on speaker.”
“You could’ve been patient!” Grabbing the nearest object— a tissue box— you hurl it at him.
Hyunjin only laughs and catches it.
“Putting more coffee on?”
“Obviously.”
---------------------------------------
“It’s the same one,” you say incredulously, flipping through the exams that Dr. Furon had given the two of you.
While you got the papers from the professor’s office, Hyunjin had gone to the tutoring center for a list of tutors. Apparently he had a connection there as well.
The two of you now sat in the conference room with your original cork board to the side. New leads and pictures right smack in the middle.
You had spent the day questioning the graduate students, but as you suspected, it was a dead end. No one knew anything.
The exams spread over the table were the best lead.
“It is,” he mutters in agreement and disbelief.
“Eric Rowan.”
“Do you think…?” Hyunjin trails off.
“I do,” you state clearly. “I really do.”
Shaking your head, you flip through the exams over and over to make sure you’re right, to make sure you’re not looking past something.
You’re not jumping to conclusions, are you?
Hyunjin suddenly stands up from the table and makes his way to the door. “I’ll have the chief get someone to bring him down to the station.”
He didn’t even give a second thought to your decision.
The door clicks after him. The silence inside the room is deafening.
It would be perfect if you could play music like you do at home.
“Eric Rowan,” you whisper solemnly.
One tutor from the library at the university.
It would make sense.
Hyunjin had managed to get Eric’s entire tutoring log, every student he’s ever tutored had been included.
You were able to highlight each and every one of the girls’ names that were victims of these heinous crimes. There were about two weeks of time between their last tutoring session and when they were found dead.
One name stuck out, one name brought you an endless sigh of relief: Andrea Bowman.
It made your skin crawl, but you instantly noticed she was the first female he tutored during his time.
Slowly, the pieces started clicking. Your throat got a bit tight, it was difficult to swallow the emotions.
You look around and grab her file underneath a huge stack. Her school picture is the top photo paper clipped on the inside.
Andrea’s smiling face will haunt you for a long time.
Hyunjin came back into the room, you didn’t look up.
“Chief just sent someone out to get him, we’re getting interrogation room two ready for him, I think that— L/N?”
Your head snaps up and you sniffle.
“Sorry,” your voice is hoarse.
He shifts his weight in the doorway. “Everything finally hitting?”
You bite your lip and look back at Andrea’s picture. “Yeah.”
Standing up from the table, you close the file and tuck it underneath a few more.
“The guy hasn’t even confessed yet, I’m getting ahead of myself here. It just makes too much sense. These girls stopped going to see him two weeks before he killed— supposedly killed them.
“It just reads so clearly. He probably made a move, they felt uncomfortable so they stopped seeing him for tutoring, he couldn’t face rejection, so he killed them. It’s fucking sick.”
You roll your shoulders and look up at the ceiling. “Am I being too hasty? It just feels right, like … like these girls are cheering for me and telling me I’m right.”
The door shuts behind Hyunjin. He weighs his words carefully and walks up to his jacket, grabbing it off the back of the chair he sat in before.
Those perfectly polished dress shoes click on the floor. It echoes off of each wall.
“There’s one thing I’ve always lacked as a detective.” He folds the trench coat over his arm and walks up to you. “It makes me so mad that I don’t have this, it would help with so many of my cases.”
You watch him warily. There’s a sad smile on his face as he takes in your frazzled mood.
You’ve never worn your heart this freely on your sleeve before.
With a sigh, he reaches up and taps on your forehead. “Women’s intuition.”
For the first time, you have no response for him.
As far as Hwang Hyunjin goes, this is the closest you’ve ever gotten to a compliment from him, or even an acknowledgment of your skill.
Your lips stay sealed.
“I’ve never not trusted your judgment. Ever. If your gut is saying this is the guy, then this is him. When have you ever been wrong?”
Your mind is reeling.
Did he just compliment you again?
Heat rises to your cheeks. Your stomach flips.
“I’ve always been so jealous of that. You just… know.” He shrugs and looks around, a small tinge of pink on his cheeks. “When the pieces finally fit into place you’re fucking brilliant at solving everything so fast. What’s that about?”
A sad laugh tumbles from his lips.
“This case would’ve taken any other team months to solve, but you and I did it in two weeks. Maybe we should work together more often, Y/N.”
There’s no way he said that.
He’s jealous of you?
And did he just call you by your first name?
He stares down at you for a couple of seconds. Maybe you were imagining it, but you could swear that his eyes flickered to your lips more than once.
“Come on then, we have an interrogation to do.”
Hyunjin turns on a heel and makes his way to the door.
“Thank you,” you call after him. Hyunjin’s hand pauses on the door handle. “Thank you, Hyunjin.”
He doesn’t turn around. He doesn’t acknowledge what you did— the favor you just returned.
He doesn’t speak on the new level that your relationship just crossed nor the mutual respect that you two just shared.
Nothing.
You don’t even get to see his face when you call him by his name for the first time.
But, by the way his shoulders square and his head twitches, you know it affected him.
Wordlessly, he nods and opens the door, leaving it open for you as he walks into the hallway and towards the interrogation rooms.
Hwang Hyunjin, the golden child of the police department, considers you to be on the same level as him. Who would’ve thought?
Maybe he’s right, maybe you should work together more often.
---------------------------------------
Hours and hours and hours have gone by.
Hyunjin as well as other officers have been grilling Eric for what seems like days. But it’s only been about 18 hours.
The bags under your eyes feel like bruises.
Three empty coffee cups and one full one sit next to you as you stare through the one way glass.
Hyunjin’s pacing around the room with his hands in his pockets.
His tie is loose around his neck, the sleeves of his button up are rolled up, his hair is tied up out of his eyes.
He’s been trying to go the good cop route for the last 3 hours. Slowly, that act has been dropping; Eric is getting on his last nerve.
You both let Eric sit in the interrogation room by himself for 4 hours leading up to this to get to his head. It didn’t seem to work. You can only legally keep him here for forty-eight hours.
If anything, he’s only gotten more agitated.
Hyunjin walks up behind Eric, he reaches one arm down to the table.
“You’ve never seen any of these girls before?” Hyunjin slides a few photos towards them on the table.
“No.” Eric answers quickly. “I’ve already told you that.”
“I just think it’s interesting you’ve never seen any of them, Mr. Rowan. You tutored them. All of them.”
“Do you realize how many students I tutor on a daily basis?”
Hyunjin barks a laugh. “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn't realize you were that popular.” He comes around the table and opens a file.
Hyunjin pulls out one specific page, and reads off the top. “Actually, here we go, I know exactly how many students you tutor. Let’s see here: ‘Eric Rowan works two days a week in the tutoring center, Tuesdays and Thursdays.’ Last week you tutored 3 students total, and they were all returning students— how interesting!”
He slams the paper down onto the metal table. Eric jumps.
“Only three returning faces to your tutoring session, Mr. Popular. And here’s the funniest thing;  I’ve noticed that there’s no women on this list. Weird.”
Eric’s eye twitches.
Hyunjin takes a seat across the table, folding his hands on top of a notebook.
“Have you ever had a girlfriend before, Mr. Rowan?”
Eric scoffs and shifts around in his seat.
Your interest is piqued, you sit up straight in your chair and lean forward.
Why did he get so nervous all of a sudden?
Eric picks up the cup of water that he requested and takes a long sip from it. Hyunjin waits patiently.
“I don’t see how that’s relevant to anything, Detective.”
Hyunjin laughs and opens the file. “See, I thought you would say that. My chief also asked the same question.”
Said Chief, who has been standing behind you for the better part of 5 hours, most certainly did not ask that. Chief Bang snorts quietly at the lie.
“But you know what, we detectives have to do our due diligence.” Hyunjin opens a file and slides a large printed photo out across the table. “Recognize her?”
So many different emotions fly across Eric’s face: anger, loss, betrayal, depression, rage, hurt. The muscles in his face dance as they try to settle on an expression.
“No,” he grits out.
An obvious lie.
“Interesting.” Hyunjin pulls out another photo and slides it across. “Because just by taking a quick look at your social media profile, I can see how this girl was your girlfriend . Look, here you are together! Leah Miller. Pretty girl.”
Eric says nothing. He can’t look away from the picture.
“Most interesting part I noticed was that you haven’t posted anything with her in about a year. What happened? Breakup? They suck, hm? Sorry, should I have said ‘ex-girlfriend’ before? My bad.”
You can’t help but smile. Hyunjin’s always been brilliant in interrogations, you can’t deny that. You’ve only ever heard rumors about how he is on the other side of the one-way mirror.
Sneaking a peek at the picture of Leah Miller, your eyes widen. She fit the profile: long, blonde hair and sweet, light eyes.
More pieces fall into place.
“It’s none of your business,” Eric grits out between clenched teeth.
Chief Bang shifts behind you and grabs the back of your chair. Obviously he senses it too, a confession, a slip up, anything. It’s showing its head.
“What? What are you saying?” Hyunjin laughs. “It’s exactly my business. That’s quite literally what my job is, you know, to know your business. It’s the same reason I know that you asked out Andrea Bowman during one of your tutoring sessions and she rejected you.”
“That’s not—“
“Oh, sorry, is that not how it happened? Did you maybe try and make a move on her and she rejected you that way? Maybe you put an arm around the back of her chair? Classic.”
“I-I didn’t—“
“Not that one? Understood.” Hyunjin nods and flips through the pictures on the table. “Oh, did you use the old ‘give me your number just in case you need more help’ trick? Used that on a girl in college, myself. Of course, it worked for me.” He winks at Eric.
Eric is fuming, his face is turning redder and redder, the vein in his forehead is popping.
“Here we go,” Chief Bang whispers under his breath.
Your mouth is agape, you’ve heard about Hyunjin in interrogation rooms before but you’ve never actually seen it.
It’s like he’s dancing with fire so beautifully. He’s twirling a flaming sword with a silver tongue.
“I think Andrea rejected you and then when she never came back for more tutoring, you lost it. You looked up her campus address in the internal systems, because guess what, you have access to that as a tutor, and you went to her dorm room, and you killed her.”
“Wh-What? You’re way off base here, Detective.” Eric stutters, his eye twitches again, his leg starts bouncing under the table.
He pulls on the cuffs keeping him to the table.
Hyunjin you’re so close, come on, come on.
“Funny!” Hyunjin exclaims and slides another piece of paper across the table. “Here’s the search history in the library computer with your login credentials!”
Eric gapes, his mouth opens and closes several times.
“You know what, maybe you didn’t go to Andrea’s dorm with the idea of killing her. Maybe it was a grand romantic gesture, yeah, that seems more like it— flowers and everything.” He slams another picture on the table.
A bouquet of flowers was found at Andrea’s crime scene.
“You presented her with the flowers. And she rejected you. Again. ” Hyunjin’s voice is getting louder and louder, crescendoing with Eric’s anger and heart rate.
Your breathing picks up. Both you and Chief Bang stop moving.
“Stop,” Eric suddenly pleads. His hands shoot up to cover his ears but they’re stopped by the cuffs.
The metal clinks and pulls, they dig into his wrists.
“She rejected you twice! To your face! But you couldn’t take that for an answer. God, why did she do that? Why did she turn you down when you were just trying to be nice? ”
Hyunjin stands up slowly from the table, towering over Eric.
“She was just like her, she was just like that bitch that broke up with you? She tore your heart out and spit on it! She was no better than Leah! So, you knocked her out and you tied her down to her own fucking bed in hopes that she would just hear you out!”
“Stop, stop!”
“Because maybe if she just listened she would understand that you’re just a genuine guy trying to be a good boyfriend to someone! You’re so nice, you’re such a good guy, no one likes good guys anymore, huh? And, of course Leah didn’t see that either!”
“ Stop! ”
“She tried to scream for help, so you killed her. You slit her throat without a second fucking thought for anything! And it felt so fucking good, didnt it? It felt so good to finally take power back from her? So, you didn’t stop.”
Tears spring from Eric’s eyes as he squints them shut, his body physically curling in on itself. He writhes around, unable to get far because of the handcuffs.
“So you kept going, and you went after women who looked just like Leah. And it felt amazing because every single time you could picture her face as you slit their throats. Each and every one of them babbling for mercy, crying out for their mothers, to only choke on their own blood—“
“ FINE! ” Eric screams, slamming his fists on the table. “I killed them. I killed each and every one of the fucking bitches. And I fucking wish I could have killed her too!”
The sudden seemingly endless torrent of sentences comes to a screaming halt.
Hyunjin sits down on his chair once more with a huff.
And just like you did yesterday, he leans back on his chair and knocks once on the window.
It takes you a second to find your voice after witnessing the most amazing, jaw dropping interrogation you’ve ever seen.
“G-Got it!” You say loudly through the glass. “We got it. Oh my god!” You stand up quickly from the chair and turn around to Chief Bang, who has an equally surprised expression. “We got it! ”
He stutters for a moment and shakes his head to clear his mind before speed walking out of the side room to get officers to arrest Eric.
Eric Rowan, who is now pathetically sobbing in his chair.
Eric Rowan who signed his confession with the opposite hand that he’d been using to drink his water.
Eric Rowan who is ambidextrous.
---------------------------------------
It’s so weird to see your kitchen island devoid of files and endless stacks of papers after the last few weeks.
Eric was taken in for booking. Your job was over.
Well, it was over for now. Chief Bang gave you and Hyunjin a week off and then you’re due back in the office for the next case.
Plus, you’ll have to be at Eric Rowan’s trial since you were the lead detective on the case.
So maybe ‘over’ isn’t the best way to describe it.
More soft music plays from your speaker as you clean up the rest of the files. A large t-shirt draped over your body, it practically covers the shorts you have underneath.
There’s a couple knocks on your door. His knocks are so distinct. You’ve gotten so used to them over the past two weeks.
“Come in, Hwang!” you call out.
The door opens and shuts.
“I think I left a few things here,” he says kicking his shoes off in your entryway.
You hum in response, gathering up files to stack them neatly.
His soft footsteps pad up behind you.
“I don’t think I ever saw your countertop, is this granite?” he teases over your shoulder.
You snort a laugh. “Yeah, it is. Came with the place, so don’t ask any more questions.”
Putting the stack down, you turn around and come nose to nose with Hyunjin. He is so much closer than you thought he was.
You jump slightly and back up a bit, your hips hitting the countertop.
Hyunjin doesn’t move.
“I didn’t get to see you after the interrogation,” he says with a quieter voice.
Not able to hold his searing gaze, you look off to the side and cross your arms over your chest.
“Yeah, well, you know how the hustle and bustle can wrap someone up after a case closes. Next thing I knew, Bang was sending me home.”
Hyunjin takes a half step closer to you. “What did you think?”
“Hm?”
“What did you think of the interrogation?”
So many sarcastic, sharp retorts die on your tongue when you remember the conversation that the two of you had earlier.
But still, complimenting him was about as easy as petting a cactus.
“I told you I’m not going to stroke your ego, Hwang.”
He takes another step towards you, both of his arms come up to cage you to the counter.
Heat rises on your cheeks more and more with each passing second. You refuse to meet his eyeline.
“Humor me, L/N. How was my performance today?”
Tonguing your cheek, you roll your eyes. Your heart rate picks up at his proximity. Why does he smell so good?
The last time the both of you had an opportunity to shower was two days ago.
He still smells like aftershave and expensive cologne.
“It was good, okay? You got the guy.”
“ We got the guy, L/N.”
“Yeah, yeah, golden boy, we got him.”
He knows your sarcasm is empty. Just by looking at your flushed face he can tell you don’t mean it.
“Come on now, L/N.” Long, lithe fingers grip your chin and turn your head towards him. “You can do better than that.”
Your jaw clenches. Arousal shoots down your spine like an electric shock.
Fuck.
Closer and closer his alarmingly handsome face inches closer to yours. The beauty mark under his eye seems more prominent than ever.
His mind is one of a brilliant detective, but god, that face. He should’ve been a model.
You bite the inside of your cheek and when you try to look away from his deep eyes, the grin on your jaw tightens.
“Come on, L/N.” He smirks. “Tell me how good I did today. Say it.”
The brat inside you decides to surface. So, he wants to go this route, hm? “Why do you need me to say it so badly, Hwang? Everyone else in the department is so far up your ass, they can wear you like a hat.”
He rolls his eyes, his body pressing against you entirely. Your arms uncross and you reach back to grip the countertop next to his hands.
It shouldn’t feel as good as it does. You should be shoving him away, slapping him across the face, spitting on his shoes. But instead you relish in the feeling.
“Yes. But they’re not you. ”
Your eyes widen and the corner of his mouth twitches. He knows he has you in the palm of his hand. He just needs to break you more.
But does he really?
Finally, he brings his lips closer and closer to yours. He pauses right before he makes contact, giving you a chance to say no.
Nothing of the sort tumbles out.
The first kiss he presses to your lips is nothing short of devouring.
His soft, plush lips consume yours like he’s a starving man at a feast. You meet his enthusiasm with fervor.
Hyunjin’s head tilts to get better access to your mouth. His eyebrows pull together in concentration, he almost looks like he’s in pain.
The fingers on your chin move down to your neck, he wraps his hand around it, thumbs on top of your pulse point, but he doesn’t squeeze.
Your hands tentatively reach for him, grabbing at his dress shirt and tie, pulling him even closer to you.
A small moan comes from the base of his throat and through his nose. Hyunjin’s other hand grabs your hip possessively.
“Say it, L/N,” he hushes between kisses, completely out of breath. “Tell me how good I am.”
How is it that he has this sort of possessive grip on you and yet he’s putting the ball in your court?
A small boost of confidence courses through your veins.
“Can’t you just admit it already?” he adds.
Smirking, you say nothing. One of your hands threads into his long hair and yanks his face back to yours for another bruising kiss.
He huffs through his nose once more, but kisses you nonetheless.
Twirl after twirl of his tie around your hand tightens your grip. With the last tug, Hyunjin moans once more into your mouth. The hand on your throat squeezes a bit.
“L/N,” he pleads again against your lips.
You tug hard on his tie. Hyunjin loses his balance slightly, his knuckles turning white from grabbing your countertop so tight.
Bringing your lips to his ear, you blow hot air on the sensitive skin first. He shivers against your hot body.
At the same time, your bare foot travels up the back of his clothed calf, your thigh brushing against his hip.
“If you want my approval that badly, you’re going to have to earn it.”
Hyunjin makes a choked moan, “Fuck,” he whispers under his breath. The hand on your hip tightens. The fingers wrapped around your throat twitch.
“How does that sound, Hwang? You be good to me and I’ll let you know how well you’re doing.” You roll your hips against his.
Your words have an obvious effect on him, the hardness that presses to your leg says it all.
Hyunjins lips drop down to your neck, he bites the soft skin where it meets your shoulder. “Fucking hell, L/N, don’t play hard to get.”
Humming, you roll your head back, enjoying the sensation of his mouth on your skin. “I’m not playing anything, I already told you how to get what you want.”
Licking and sucking his way down your neck, his teeth nip at your exposed collarbone. The hand on your throat slides backwards and into the hair on the back of your head.
Your bottom lip pulls between your teeth to stop a moan from leaking out. You pull Hyunjin’s tie to keep his face there.
“Just like that, golden boy, your mouth feels so good.”
His hips involuntarily buck into yours at the praise, he whimpers against your skin. “ Shit, ” he curses into your neck with a hot exhale.
You wrap your entire leg around his waist and roll against him more. His mouth stutters, but afterwards he sucks hard . A bright purple hickey already surfaces when he detaches.
“L/N,” he murmurs into your neck. You hum in response. “Can I take this off?” He tugs at your shirt.
You smirk. “You can.”
When your hand unwinds from his tie, Hyunjin backs off of you. His face is already so fucked out; eyes are half-lidded and hazy, his lips are so puffy and swollen, spit glistening off them in the soft kitchen light.
From all your pulling, Hyunjin’s hair is all askew and coming out of its usual ponytail.
He wastes no time, grabbing the hem of your t-shirt and yanking it over your head, he throws it behind him carelessly. His eyes light up at the sight of your bare chest, tongue poking out to lick his already slick lips.
You chuckle.
“You gunna touch me or what?” you tease. “Or maybe you don’t want it that badly.”
Hyunjin’s jaw clenches and he meets your eyes. The look he’s giving you is dangerous.
He huffs once and grabs your waist tightly, lifting you up off the ground and sitting you on the cold granite. The sharp temperature change against your flushed skin makes you shiver.
Hyunjin parts your legs and stands between your thighs, his head dips down and envelopes one nipple in his mouth.
“Fuck!” you cry out, grabbing a fist full of his hair.
One of Hyunjin’s hands trails up your leg to grab at your exposed thigh while the other comes up to play with your other perky bud.
His eyes shut in his own pleasure. That tongue is absolutely relentless, licking circles around your nipple to flick over it a few times and then sucking.
Your toes are already curling, legs wrapping around his waist to get him closer to you.
“How about now, L/N?” his hoarse voice whines against your spit covered chest. “Is this good for you? Does it feel good?”
The more he talks, the more you can’t tell if he’s teasing you or genuinely asking for his own sanity.
“It feels fucking amazing, Hwang, keep– shit – keep going.”
Hyunjin takes in a shaky breath and switches sides, your fingers yank on his hair and he whines again around your nipple.
You let him continue for a while, relishing in the feeling of his spit dripping down your chest and onto your navel. The wet licks and sucks bouncing off the walls combined with his own small whines and your loud moans.
Roll after roll of your hips grinds against his hard tent in his dress pants. After a few minutes, your hips seem to have a mind of their own, your soaking wet cunt seeking friction against anything to satiate the need for contact.
The more he licks at your chest, the more Hwang Hyunjin continues to drive you insane.
“H-Hwang,” you pull his attention. His eyebrows furrow as you yank him away from your purple marked chest.
When he finally detaches, he looks up at you, panting.
“Touch me, touch me, please . I can’t fucking take it.”
His shoulders curl forward like you knocked the air out of him.
With more strength than you thought he had, he scoops you up and wraps your legs around his waist while smashing your lips together again.
You cling onto him for dear life while letting your tongues slide over one another.
“Hah,” you pant out in between kisses. “You’re doing so fucking well.”
He whines.
“Could’ve made me cum with just that tongue on my tits. Such a shame.”
Hyunjin drops your body onto the couch without a warning. You squeal and bounce on the soft cushions.
“Hwang–” your voice dies in your throat when you catch the sight of him standing on the other side of the sofa arm.
The change in his demeanor gives you whiplash.
His eyes are dark, almost black. His chest is heaving with heavy pants. Those long fingers are tugging at his tie, until it's loose enough for him to rip off his neck.
Your knees tuck up a bit towards your chest as you watch him with wide eyes like prey.
Hyunjin reaches down and snatches your ankle, he tugs on it harshly. You yelp as you’re dragged forward into a lying position.
Coming around the sofa, he swings one knee over you to straddle your hips. One by one he begins to unbutton his dress shirt, never once breaking eye contact.
Each sliver of skin that is revealed is devoured by your eyes greedily. Never once has he so much as undone the top button on his collar at work.
Shamelessly, you rake in his athletic build.
“You want to cum with just my tongue? Okay, L/N, I can do that.”
Your heart thuds in your chest.
He shrugs his shirt off and drops it to the floor. Hands grab at the waistband of your shorts and yank them off with your panties in one swoop. Another article of clothing to hit the floor.
The cold air against your soaking wet folds makes you hiss slightly.
Hyunjin stares down at your arousal, biting his bottom lip. Lower and lower he descends until you can feel his heavy exhales against your cunt.
He pushes your thighs apart, putting one over his shoulder, your heel settles into the dip of his spine. He’s smirking the entire time.
Finally, he tears his eyes away from your folds to look you right in the eye.
Your jaw clenches and you watch as he licks all the way from your entrance, up to your clit, circles around it to go back down to your entrance again.
An immediate shockwave of pleasure shoots through your body down to your toes. You toss your head back with your mouth agape, a silent scream stretching your lips.
Hyunjin keens at your reaction, doing the same maneuver again before focusing his attention on creating the most sinful figure eights with his tongue.
Your hand flies down to grab at his hair, shoulders arching off the couch. “Shit, shit, H-Hwang, feels so– hah – s-so good.”
He moans into you, the vibrations go right through you.
With your heel on his back, you can feel how his back curves as his hips rut into the couch underneath him to relieve some pressure off his aching cock.
Praises fall from your lips like water falling over rock. Each one makes Hyunjin whine and kick it up a notch.
“That fu- uh -cking silver tongue, holy shit .”
Hyunjin moans loudly, he grabs both of your hips, nails digging into your skin with deep scratches. It only makes you cry out louder, pulling on his hair even harder.
The tie in his hair comes out completely. You toss it away from you and gather up his hair in between your fingers to keep it out of his eyes. It feels like silk.
A coil within you begins winding tighter and tighter. The more he licks and sucks, the higher your cries get and the tighter your abdomen feels.
“Feels so good, it feels fucking amazing ! S-So close! Shit, please make me cum, please, shit!”
Each word makes Hyunjin sutter and moan into your folds, his eyebrows pulled like he’s in pain. Harder and harder he ruts into your sofa, his nails digging into you so much you think he might draw blood.
It’s taking every ounce of his will not to spill out in his pants at your praise. At your begging .
One of his hands comes up and kneads at your chest. His thumb rubs over your nipple a few times and that’s all it takes for the band within you to finally snap.
Your orgasm washes over you so hard it’s like being hit by a bus.
With a silent cry, your entire body tenses up. Hyunjin’s movements slow down, but he still coaxes you through your climax with that skilled tongue of his.
He hums into your folds, licking up every last drop of your juices.
You come down from your high slowly, chest heaving up and down, every exhale is paired with a moan. Shockwaves still ripple through your thighs.
Hyunjin’s eyes open and he stares at you, his mouth going over to bite your inner thigh. You squeal and squirm.
Slowly, like a lion, he gets up and crawls over your form, keeping eye contact. Once he’s close enough, he captures your lips greedily. Your arousal is still all over his tongue. It’s swapped between the two of you with your spit.
Your hands reach down and fumble with his belt buckle. Hyunjin makes no move to stop you, instead, he pushes you further.
“Look at that,” he pants, looking down at your fumbling hands. “So desperate for my cock, huh, L/N?”
Your eyebrow twitches. You undo the buckle and reach down to grab his rock hard erection through his pants.
Hyunjin’s elbows buckle at your touch and he grunts, squinting his eyes shut.
“All talk, aren’t you? Once I touch you, you crumble .”
“Shit!” His eyes snap open and he bucks into your hand. “Because– ugh –, like I said, it’s you . Fuck ,” he moans when you squeeze him again over his pants.
“Keep going,” you tease. “Keep going and I’ll keep stroking this fucking monster cock you keep tucked in these pressed dress pants of yours.”
He exhales shakily while you unbutton his trousers.
“When were you ever going to fucking– agh – realize that you drive me fucking insane, L/N?” His eyes start to unfocus when you push down the waistband of his pants and boxers down his thighs.
Fucking hell . Has he always been packing this?
“God damn, Hwang.” Your hand runs up his length. Hyunjin shudders and closes his eyes. Your touch is so featherlight he thinks he’s going insane.
His eyebrows twitch and hips buck forward to try and reach your touch.
“I’m not hearing a lot of talking.” You lean up and attach your lips to his neck, continuing to only trail the gentlest of touches up and down his throbbing cock.
The head is red and angry and weeping precum.
His body trembles. “ Shit – I wanted you for so long, L/N. You drive me– fuck – insane. Every single fucking day I did whatever it fucking took to get your attention.”
Finally, your hand wraps around his length tightly and you start pumping very slowly. The long, pathetic moan that tumbles from Hyunjin’s lips is something of sin.
He sounds so relieved yet even more aroused at the same time.
You continue to suck your own marks onto his perfect skin. Sweat drips down the side of his face and down his now slick back.
“ Ughhh – L-L/N…” He buries his face in the crook of your neck.
Your hand stops moving when he stops talking.
He cries out into your neck, hips frantically bucking into your touch to chase it. You only chuckle in response.
“ Please! ” He whimpers.
“Keep going then, golden boy.” You suck a sensitive spot underneath his ear.
Another stutter of his hips.
“I begged the chief to put me on your case!”
Your pumping picks up speed again, his entire body rolls into yours. You grip him tighter and jerk him faster.
“I said– ah – I would do whatever case he wanted next if he– ffuuck – let me work with you on this one– oh my god! And I still would, I would do whatever– mmmph – case I need to to fucking work with you every day. Agh! ”
Despite your outwards nonchalant expression, on the inside, his words are fucking killing you. The throb in your cunt that was satiated moments ago comes back with a vengeance.
To hear Hwang Hyunjin at your mercy is going straight to your core. Each noise he makes goes straight to your pussy.
“God, fuck , L/N, I-I’m close. Please, god , shit.”
After a few more pumps, you stop, taking your hand away completely. Hyunjin cries into the crook of your neck again, his body rolling and rutting the air at the loss of contact.
“Please, why, fucking hell , I was so close!”
You grab the hair on the back of his head and yank his head up to look down at you. His eyes are cloudy, ears and cheeks bright red. Sweat drips down the side of his face and over his sharp cheekbones and jawline.
“Wouldn’t you rather fuck me?”
His face twists up with another moan.
Hyunjin dives down and captures your lips in the sloppiest kiss of the night. He’s messy and desperate the longer he kisses you.
While trying to stay attached to your lips, Hyunjin fumbles around to kick off his pants and boxers.
Both of you finally naked together, he grabs his cock in his fist.
“I-I’m not going to last–”
You cut him off with a sharp tug to his hair. “Fuck me, golden boy, don’t you think you deserve it after today?”
His eyes practically roll back in his head.
As soon as he’s lined up with your entrance, Hyunjin slides into you slowly. Inch by inch you’re stretched open,
He might not be thick but god, he is long .
With his mouth on yours, he swallows each moan and cry of pleasure. Without wasting any amount of time, he pulls out to slam back into you.
Both of you moan out together.
Your arm wraps around his neck. He rests his weight on one elbow and the other wraps around your shoulders to hug you close to him. His hand splays out between your shoulder blades to keep you anchored against his sweat slicked chest.
The skin to skin contact sends both of you wild.
Over and over again his hips undulate to thrust into you in the most delicious way. The angle of his hips brushes his pelvic bone against your clit with each slam against you.
“You feel so fucking good,” you whine into his ear.
Hyunjin’s next thrust hits a bit harder. If praise makes him fuck you harder, then so be it.
“God, your cock is amazing.” Harder. “Hitting me just right.” Harder. “Never knew you would feel this fucking good.”
With his mouth on your neck, he leaves sloppy hickeys wherever he can reach. His pants fill the room and mix with your whines.
His head suddenly dips down to take your nipple into his mouth once more. You keen and toss your head back, hips canting up. The new angle has his cock slam right into your g-spot.
A loud scream tears from your lips. Hyunjin immediately picks up on this and picks up the pace, making sure he hits that spot every time.
If you thought your first orgasm had a sudden build up, it’s nothing compared to this one. There’s a sudden pressure increasing in your lower stomach.
“Fuck!” Thrust . “So good!” Thrust. “Oh my god!”
Praises and noises fall from you, you don’t even realize what you’re saying anymore. The pleasure has your mind in the clouds.
“Y/N,” the sudden use of your name grabs your attention. Hyunjin comes up over your face with a pleasure twisted face.
“Say it, please, please , I’m fucking begging you , please, say it.”
Your eyebrows pull together, mouth still hanging open. What does he want you to say that you haven’t said already?
“ My name. Say it, please, please, please, please–”
Oh, fuck.
You smirk and watch as the desperation drives him wild. Even in the deepest throes of pleasure, you string him along for a few more seconds as you approach the edge.
Closer and closer you come to the edge.
He whines, begging louder and louder as his own climax creeps up on him, the muscles in his body tightening more and more.
He needs it so bad.
“Y/N! Please! ”
Just as you’re about to tumble over, your mouth stretches open.
“Fuck, Hyunjin! ”
The loudest moan you’ve ever heard from a man comes falling out of his mouth as he buries his face into your neck. Hot, sticky warmth shoots within you in long, drawn out spurts that match with Hyunjin’s whines and groans.
His hips stutter for another twenty seconds before his moans finally calm down.
Both of you hold onto each other tightly, heaving heavy inhales and exhales to catch your breath.
Absent-mindedly, your hand begins to rub up and down Hyunjin’s clammy back, drawing small circles and lines onto his skin.
He hums into your neck and holds you closer for a moment before collapsing onto the couch on top of you.
Surprisingly, his weight on top of you doesn’t seem to phase you; instead it brings the same comfort as a weighted blanket.
After a few more minutes of you silently rubbing his back, Hyunjin begins to lazily press kisses onto your bruise covered chest, paying extra attention to your collarbones.
The kisses are soft and sweet, nothing like the lust coated ones from before.
“Did you mean it?” you ask him quietly.
He pauses his kisses only to answer you. “Mean what?” He starts kissing you more.
“That you asked Bang to work on the case.”
He chuckles against your neck, his hair tickling your skin. “Oh, yeah. It took entirely too much convincing.”
You laugh with him and keep him close to your body.
In the back of your mind, you know you should get up, that he should pull out and the two of you should shower and drink water, but you can’t seem to distance yourself from him.
There’s no harm in sitting there for a while anyway.
Hyunjin hums into your neck again, “Thank god we have the week off.”
You couldn’t agree more.

Seungmin is one of your best friends and also a conniving master of manipulation.  Being a malevolent source of wicked verbal wizardry, he convinced you and Minho that it would be totally super easy to sneak into the Hwang Hyunjin concert.  It’s only the final night of the pop-star’s sold-out world tour and the most anticipated concert of the year.  What could go wrong?
It sounded like a good idea when Seungmin said it.  Now the three of you are standing in a pushy crowd of overeager fans with some very intimidating looking security guards at the end of the queue.
“Reconvene,” you say.  You grab the boys by their scruff and drag them out of the line.
“Ah, hey!” Minho snaps at you like piranha.
You release him to grab Seungmin by his collar.  “You better have an idea for getting us past security,” you say, “because I do not like the look of the Incredible Hulk up there.”
The three of you look at the shortstack beefcake who looks like he could bench all three of you at the same time.
“Yeaaaah,” Seungmin says.  He flashes you a not-so-innocent smile as his strawberry-pink bangs flop into his eyes.  “I didn’t really think this far ahead.  I thought you’d have a plan.”
“Why would I have a plan?” you ask.  “This whole thing was your idea.  Seungmin.”  You drag him close so your noses touch, going cross-eyed at the proximity.  It does not lessen the severity of your frustration when you state, “I waxed for this.  And you know how I feel about waxing.”
“You waxed?” Minho asks loudly.  It draws a few glances your way which might be because Minho is so loud, or might be because he’s so good looking, or a combination of the two.  His dark eyes narrow at you like you’re a completely alien creature.   “Why would you wax for a concert?” he asks.
“Wax,” Seungmin parrots.  Your hands are on his collar like you intend to shake him up but it doesn’t deter him asking, “Like… like wax-wax?  Like your human body waxed?”
“Like your human pussy?” Minho asks.  “For a concert?  What did you think was gonna happen?”  He is on the very visible verge of hysterical laughter when a thought lights his eyes.  “Wait,” he says.  “I know how we can get in—”
“Oh my god,” you say.  You shove Seungmin and grab Minho by the collar instead.  “I’m not fucking our way in.  And I waxed,” you drop your voice, “just in case.”
“Just in case…?” Minho tips his head.  “Just in case you had to fuck your way in…?”
“Oh my god,” you say.  You push him away too.  “Never mind.”
“Did you think Hyunjin was going to summon you out of the crowd for a green room quickie?”  Seungmin asks with a shit-eating grin.
Minho cackles.  “No way she’d even go,” he says.  “She doesn’t get summoned.  She likes to be chased.”
“She is walking away now,” you say.
“Bet she’ll walk away quickly,” Seungmin says.  “She waxed so she’ll be aerodynamic.”
You stomp away from the stadium but only make it a few steps before Seungmin runs in front of you.
“We can’t just give up here,” Seungmin says.  “We made it this far already.”
“One bus stop?” you ask dryly.  “We literally live like five minutes away—”
“Exactly!” Seungmin says.  “That’s called destiny.”
“We might as well try,” Minho says.  He cups a hand over his eyes to look at the stadium in the fading light of the sun.  “We all got dressed up.  Seungmin skipped a class.  You waxed.”
“There’s no way we’re getting through those doors,” you say.
“We’ve done it before,” Seungmin says.  He turns you to face the stadium and massages your shoulders like a boxing coach, all the while regaling you with tales of your past victories.  “Remember all the other concerts we snuck into?  The sports games?  That celebrity wedding—”
“Well,” Minho interrupts, “we did get arrested at that one.”
“Yeah and we got arrested together,” Seungmin says, “because that’s what friends do.”
“I don’t know why,” you say, “but for some reason this is working.”  Maybe it’s Seungmin’s words, or Minho’s cologne, or maybe it’s the soft glow of a perfect summer sunset as it pours over the stadium like a pink-orange waterfall.  Or maybe it’s because this really is the concert of the year, and you love a challenge, and you fucking waxed.
You throw your head back and sigh, soulfully resigning yourself to your imminent fate.
“Fine,” you say.  “So how are we doing this?”
“Don’t worry,” Seungmin says thoughtfully.  “I think I have a plan.”
Seungmin proceeds to explain the plan.  It is hardly the pinnacle of heist endeavours but is more feasible than rappelling down the stadium walls into the concert arena.
Basically, the plan is to find a group of people with a solitary ticket holder and leech onto their tail with the hopes security will miscount the party and let you sneak past.  It means you will have to split up because security will definitely notice three extra people.  You will then hopefully reunite inside the arena.
You scamper around the periphery of the stadium, perusing lines for oblivious groups of excited fans with an e-ticket-wielding ringleader.  You also double-check which security guards seem the most lax or checked out.
“I get that one,” Minho says.
He points to a trim, athletic guard with floppy brown hair and a giggly smile.  You and Seungmin protest because that guard is an easy mark so you all want him, but Minho takes off running for the queue.
The thing about Lee Minho is that he never hauls ass.  He coasts through life with a casual slouch, but he is completely capable of annihilating everyone if he deigns to do so.
He does.  So he did.
You and Seungmin look around.  Your grin widens when you spy the next easiest target.
“Aha!” you say.  “I call dibs on that one!  Good luck, Seungmin!”
“Hey!” Seungmin bellows.
He is far too late.  You are already booking it towards the line with a pretty, chipper, skinny security guard.  He is in jeans and a loose windbreaker that says SECURITY across the back, about the only indication he is a man of any authority.  His hair is a vibrant, neon blue and is delicately styled, long enough to pull back in a pretty half-ponytail.  His features are sharp, cheekbones sloping, but there is a natural tenderness to his whole countenance.  He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.
Also, he really is lean.  Worst case scenario, you can probably push your way past him and disappear into the crowd before he can do anything about it.
You find a group of girls to sidle alongside anyway.  You are satisfied you will easily slip into the stadium.
The group reaches the front of the line, a couple of them giggling at the security guard’s friendly attention.  His name tag reads Felix, a cute name for a cute guy.  Up close, you can see a smattering of dark freckles across his face, as well as a few playful glitter stars for the concert.  He is admittedly pretty but as a professional gate crasher, you refrain from distraction.  You successfully avoid his gaze and stick close to the girl in front of you.
Felix gives them each a friendly nod, smiling brightly.  He laughs at one of their comments and it’s a charming, low sound.
“Enjoy the show, ladies,” he says, his voice about a hundred decibels deeper than you expected.
Maybe that’s what trips you up.  It has to be something, because you were doing everything right.  But just as you go to follow the girls into the arena, a skinny arm shoots out and you smack right into it.
“Sorry,” Felix says.  He drops his arm and smiles.  “I just need to see your ticket.”
“My…?”  You look ahead at the group of girls, but they are already gone.  Oops.  “Ha, ha,” you say, looking at Felix.
He is staring back at you, still smiling a close-lipped smile.  He blinks a couple times then lifts an eyebrow.
“Uh, ticket?” he says.  He holds out his hand.
“Right,” you say.  You smile at him with all the saccharine sweetness you can.  “I have funny story about that, Felix,” you say.
“Hm.”  His smile turns into a line, eyes narrowing as he looks at you.  “And what’s that?”
“Well, you see…”
It’s all you say before you bolt, fast on your feet.  You sprint for the entryway behind the guarded queue.  There’s a crowd inside and you’re an expert at disappearing into a crowd.  You just need to get in there and find your boys then you are home free.  Hwang Hyunjin, here you come.
There’s just one problem.
Felix is fast.
Like, track star fast.  Like, road runner fast.  Like, you’re that dumb coyote getting an anvil dropped on your head, except this anvil is a skinny blue-haired Australian with a voice like a god and the apparent hidden strength of one too.
You make it a few desperate steps before Felix literally sweeps you off your feet.  You shriek when he hauls you under his arm, dragging you away from the stadium door.  He deposits you a few feet from the queue then swiftly resumes his position.
“Hello,” he says to the next person in line.  “Sorry about that.  Ticket?”
Your mouth is agape.
No one has ever got the jump on you like that.
“Hey!” you say, but Felix has moved on.  He is smiling at the next guest as he checks their ticket, not paying you any mind.  “Excuse me,” you say, despite the people between you and him.  “I think there’s been a misunderstanding.  I do have a ticket.”
“Uh-huh,” Felix says.  He doesn’t look at you, scanning someone’s e-ticket with a little device.  It lights up green and he smiles at them.  “Enjoy the show,” he says.
You jump into the queue, cutting off the next person.  Felix’s smile vanishes and is replaced with an astoundingly sassy expression.
“Uh, this line is for ticket-holders,” he says.
“I have a ticket,” you say.  You unzip your purse and spend a minute rifling around, ignoring him when he sighs.  He apologizes to the people behind you.  You turn and offer a tight-lipped apology of your own.  “I was in line,” you say, as if they didn’t just witness this ten-pound bully haul you around like a sack of potatoes.  “There was just a misunderstanding.”
Felix rolls his eyes.
You pull out your cell phone and flip through a folder of fake screenshotted tickets, hoping at least one of them marginally resembles the tickets for tonight.  You pick one and flash it at Felix.
“Happy?” you say with a lot of false indignation.  You turn off the screen when Felix goes to grab your phone.  You give him a snooty, squinty-eyed look, then saunter right past him.
This time when he comes after you, you are better prepared for his speed.   You zig-zag and he stumbles, cussing very unprofessionally.  You make it all the way to the door before he grabs you.  You have no idea where he is getting all that muscle because he feels like a sturdy stick when you grab at him, but he puts you over his shoulder like it’s easy.
“Um, excuse me!” you shout.  “Hello!  Someone film this!  I’m being assailed!”
Felix intentionally jostles you on his shoulder.  He is even less gentle when he drops you this time, though you do manage to keep your footing.
“Try that again,” Felix says, “and it will be trouble.  Got it?”
Felix is very good looking.  He’s an incredible combination of pretty and handsome, not to mention that voice, guh.  But what gets you going is how much you are clearly pissing him off.  It’s hot.  Out of nowhere, the freckled sunshine sweetheart is just oozing confidence, standing square and pointing at you with a very stern expression.  And if you get a little hiccup in your blood, a little skip in your heartbeat, a little stampede southward that makes your pussy hum like the interested kitten it is, well.  That’s not your fault.  It’s his.  Asshole.
You flip him off.  He ignores you, shaking his head as he returns to his position.
“Sorry,” he says to the queue.  “Some people are so inconsiderate, aren’t they?”
Ugh. What a sexy bitch.
You text to check in with the boys.  Minho made it inside, no surprise, but apparently Seungmin is also struggling for an in.
what is with these security guards, Seungmin writes, are they military trained? fuck
maybe you’re both just losing your touch, Minho replies.
never, you say.  we still have lots of time.  we'll get in there.  seungmin, meet me by the benches.  we need another plan.
Usually, the best way to crash an event is with minimal attention and no theatrics.  It’s all about pretending you are exactly where you are supposed to be.  If you act like you belong, then you will.
A spectacle is a desperate measure, but you are desperate people.  After a few hushed whispers on a bench, you and Seungmin spring into action.
“Help!”  Seungmin shouts.  “My wife needs help!  Please!”
“Your wife?” you whisper through gritted teeth, opening one eye to look at him.  You are currently laying on the pavement in a dramatic swoon, Seungmin hunched over you.
“My companion of ambiguous relationship is hurt!” he says.  “Ouch,” he adds, because you swat his arm.
Fortunately, he does draw attention.  A few people run over, the beefy security guard one of them.  His nametag reads Changbin and he is in a black t-shirt at least two sizes too small.  You do not begrudge him this, as you would do the same if you had biceps like that.
“What happened?” he asks, crouching down beside Seungmin.
“My friend just passed out,” Seungmin says.  He hoists you into his arms as your tongue lolls out of your mouth.  “Is there somewhere inside I can take her to sit down?  I think all the chaos out here overstimulated her.”
“One second,” Changbin says.  He pulls a walkie-talkie out of a holster.  It buzzes with static as he turns it on.  “Hey, we have a collapsed woman in front of Entry Door B.  Can I have back-up clear a path, and someone with First Aid training?”  The walkie-talkie buzzes again and Changbin puts it away.  He stands up, waving away the small crowd that has gathered.   “Yah, everyone back up!  This is an emergency!”
“It’s really not,” Seungmin says.  He scoops you into a bridal hold then struggles to lift you off the ground. “I just need – whew – somewhere I can – agh – put her down.  I can just – AH! – carry her myself.”
Naturally, it is at that moment a familiar voice descends from above.
A familiar, deep, Australian-accented voice.
“Move aside, please.”
“Oh no,” you say, eyes closed.   You open them just in time for a glitter-faced, freckled, blue-haired pretty boy in a SECURITY windbreaker to cut through the crowd.
Unfortunately, Felix is just as good looking at this angle.  He waves away the gathered onlookers as he approaches, but looks at Changbin first.
“I have First Aid,” he says.  “What happened?”
“I just found her collapsed,” Changbin says.  “Her friend thinks it’s the crowd.  Should we bring her inside?”
Felix looks at you.  The concerned furrow in his brow immediately gives way.
You smile innocently.
“No,” Felix says, frowning.  “We shouldn’t.”
“Oh come on,” you say.  You smack the ground.  “I collapsed!  I need help!”
“No, you need a ticket,” Felix says.  He crosses his arms and stomps a foot.  “Seriously, what is wrong with you?  Some of us have a job to do, you know?”
“Naaaur ya need a ticket, mate,” you say in a mockingly deep chest voice. “Some of us have jobs ya knaaaaur!”
“Do you guys know each other?” Changbin asks, looking between you and Felix – who is growing increasingly red in the face and breathing much harder.
“I have no idea who this guy is,” Seungmin says.
“Ah!”  Felix yells, spinning to Changbin.  “She doesn’t have a ticket!  She’s just trying to sneak in!”
“She doesn’t have a ticket?”  Seungmin asks, gasping.  He drops you onto the concrete, ignoring your yelp of pain.   “But I thought she – she told me we – I – I –“
You watch in betrayed horror as Seungmin pretends to faint, flopping down beside you on the concrete.  You sit up, very tempted to slap him across the face but not wanting to give Felix more reasons to accost you.
“Seungmin,” you say.  You grab him by the shirt and rattle him around like a ragdoll.  “Seungmin, you bastard, don’t even think about it!”
“You.”  Felix stomps up behind you.  “Get off the ground and come with me.”
“No,” you say.  “I don’t want to and you can’t make me.”
You shriek – again – when Felix grabs you under the arms and hoists you to your feet.  He manhandles you with only a modicum of effort, dragging you away from your stupid traitorous best friend.
You step on Felix’s foot deliberately and he swears.  For such a pretty thing, he sure has a filthy mouth.  You grab a fistful of his hair and tug, to which he cusses up a storm and pries your hand off his head.
You hear the distinct buzz of Changbin’s walkie-talkie.
“We have a collapsed man in front of Entry Door B.  Can someone who isn’t going to start fighting the patrons come help me move him?”
“He’s faking it!” you cry in protest, watching Changbin scoop Seungmin off the ground.
Changbin disregards your outburst.  Seungmin gives you a thumbs up behind his back.  Felix, of course, doesn’t see it because he’s too busy dragging you away.  You are left to sputter in bewildered protest at the injustice of it all.
Felix marches you to the sidewalk, far away from the stadium queues.  You are both out of breath by the time you get there.  Even so, you attempt to manoeuvre under his arm to run away.   In a few quick moves, he knocks you onto your ass.
“Holy fuck!”  You are panting now.  A line of sweat dots your hairline.  You wipe at it and stare morosely at this stupidly competent minimum wage security guard.  “What are you, like some kind of karate master or something?”
“Taekwondo, actually,” he says, brushing off his jacket.  Then he tips his head and stares down at you.
You would be lying if you said the intensity of his stare didn’t have your heart racing for an entirely new reason.  Danger and desire have always danced a close dance for your tastes.  Felix is not helping matters, tucking back loose strands of vibrant hair as he looms over you, wetting his bottom lip and staring.
You cross your arms and feign nonchalance, but you can’t look away from him.  When he crouches down slowly to meet you at eye level, everything below the belt goes pitter-patter.
“No ticket,” Felix says slowly.  “No concert.  Do you understand me?”
You stick out your tongue.
“Wow, mature,” he says.  His departing farewell is another snarky eyeroll.  He shakes his head as he stands, muttering to himself in obvious frustration.
So much for not a mean bone in his body.  That bully is all business.
So hot.
You huff and puff for a bit.  Your phone is going berserk in your purse, probably the boys trying to reach you.  Eventually you succumb to the necessary confession of your twice thwarted efforts.  Minho teases that you are losing your touch for real.  It makes angry little fireworks pop out of your ears.
Plenty of occasions you have assessed a situation and deemed it unreasonably complicated, but quitting while you’re ahead is not the same thing as admitting defeat.  You do not lose.  This isn’t even about the concert anymore.  Fuck Hwang Hyunjin, he was never worth the pain of a wax in the first place.  No.  This is about your pride.   This is about your dignity.  This is about your honour.
You are getting into that concert, one way or another.
First, you gather intel.  This comes in the form of snooping, running between queues to figure out the easiest mark.  You don’t judge the guards by their appearances this time, because apparently this security team has secret taekwondo masters hidden in their midst.
You watch their every move, calculating and determining your odds therein.  Based on visual research and Minho’s confirmation, it seems your best bet is the smiling guard who let Minho through.  His nametag reads Jisung and he is a veritable flirt.
Flash him your tits, Minho texts.
Uh, no, I’m not that desperate yet.
Second, with your intel now acquired, you get into the dwindling line.  The sun is almost set and a breezy summer chill dances across your cheeks.  The concert will be starting soon.  You shuffle behind the other stragglers, adjusting your outfit.  The jean shorts hug your hips and flash a nice chunk of thigh, and your shirt is already low cut but you figure another tug won’t hurt.  You also pull your flannel down your arms to look as flirtatious as possible.
Jisung is barely looking at the tickets as he scans them, chatting merrily to the guests as he lets them through.  You pull up a random ticket on your phone, something to hold out while you distract him.
“Hi,” you say.
His eyes flick down to your chest, then back up.  He smiles brightly.
“Hi!” he says.  “You look nice.  Excited for the concert?”
“Oh, absolutely,” you say.  “You have no idea how much I’ve been waiting for this.  It wasn’t easy to get in.”
“I know what you mean,” he says.  “Tickets are hard to come by, and so expensive!”
“Ugh, tell me about it,” you say, leaning in while he scans your phone.   This was a bad idea because he looks down at your chest again, just in time for his little device to flash red.
“Oh, oops!” he says.  He smiles at you as he shakes his device.  “Sorry!” he says.  “I think you showed me the wrong ticket.  Could you pull up the right one?”
“Ohhh!” you say, looking down at your phone with fake surprise.  Life is so unfair.  “I’m so sorry… Jisung.  Hehe, that’s such a nice name.”
“Haha, thanks,” Jisung says.  “My parents picked it, but, yeah, it’s cool.  Anyway.”  He wiggles his device.  “Ticket please!”
You keep smiling and giggling, even as you turn around under the guise of searching through your phone.  You glare down at the stupid device, keeping your back to Jisung while you do so.  How the fuck are you getting out of this?  You flip through screenshots then open your text messenger.  Minho’s last words of wisdom blink up at you.
Apparently, you are that desperate.
With a sigh, you put your phone in your purse and zip it shut.  You shrug your shoulders and plaster that fake smile on your face again.  With a swift of flick of your thumbs, you lift your shirt and bra up over your tits and spin around to look at Jisung.
“How’s this for a ticket—”
Jisung looks surprised and delighted.  Jisung, however, is standing a few feet back.  Probably because he was told to step back.  Probably by Felix who is standing in front of you with his arms crossed and an unimpressed look on his face.
“Wow,” Felix says.  “Just committing crimes now, are we?”
You shove your tits back into your bra indignity, not even embarrassed, just annoyed.
“Tits aren’t a crime,” you say.
“Public indecency is,” he replies.
“You’re… publicly indecent…”  Not your best comeback.  You glare at him while fixing your shirt.  “There’s no way they pay you enough to be riding my ass this hard.”
“They don’t,” Felix says, grabbing your arm.  “Believe me when I say riding your ass has been my pleasure.”
“Twisted fuck,” you reply.
You wave at Jisung as Felix tugs you away.  He waves back but does nothing to rescue you, because all men are traitors.
You groan loudly as Felix leads you away from the stadium yet again.  “Just let me innnnn,” you whine.  “Why do you hate meee.”
“I don’t even know you!” Felix says.  He deposits you on a bench and takes out his phone.
“What are you doing?” you ask, eying the device.
“What do you think I’m doing?” he asks.  “You tried to break into a ticketed event three times.  You faked an injury.  You flashed yourself in a public place—”
“I wouldn’t have done any of that if you just let me through in the first place!”
“You cannot be serious.”  Felix looks ready to rip his hair out.  “You don’t have a ticket!  Why would I let you in, why would I – AH!  Why am I arguing with you!  Be quiet, I’m phoning the police.”
“The po— the police?!  How dare you!” You try to stand but he pushes you onto the bench one-handed.  He holds you there, palm on your shoulder, still way stronger than someone this scrawny should be.
“Fine!” you exclaim.  “Fine!  You win!  I’m sorry, Felix, I was wrong.  I was wrong and you were right.”
Felix pauses.  “Really,” he says, sounding unconvinced.
“Yes!”  You look up at him with the saddest, most watery eyes you can muster.  “I just wanted to see the concert but it was stupid to think I could break in.”
He turns off his screen.  Success.   You watch him slip his phone in his pocket.
“It’s not about being smart or stupid,” he says, the ire gone from his voice.  It takes a lot of willpower not to bite his fingers when he pats your shoulder.  “It’s about the fact we can’t always get what we want,” he says kindly as he crouches in front of you.  His hand goes from your shoulder to your knee, still patting it in a friendly manner.
You bite your tongue because you want to tell him you liked him better when he was being a mean bitch, but that would be counterproductive to your escape attempt.
It turns out, you don’t need to say anything, because he decides to be a bitch again anyway.  Felix looks at you with a too-sweet smile and says, “It’s about time someone taught you that lesson.”
“Um, excuse me?” you say, aghast.  You clasp your hand over your heart.  “Just who do you think you are?  First of all, you taught me nothing, I’m still a horrible bitch and I lied when I said you were right.  Second, you absolutely can get everything you want, you just have to want it enough to get it.  But you wouldn’t know anything about that.  You know why, Felix?”
He rolls his eyes and shakes his head like he expected this, which he probably did, but you’re too far gone to retreat.
You reach out and cup his face in both hands, turning it to you.  Those sharp eyes are unflinching, even with your fingers on his face.  You try really hard not to gulp.
“It’s because you are a good boy,” you say.  “You always do what you’re told.  You always follow the rules.  I bet everyone thinks you’re the nicest guy on the team, don’t they?  I bet they call you cute little nicknames and all the nice little girls think you’re a sweet, innocent baby.  And you are, aren’t you, Felix?  You’re just such a good, good boy.  But me?  I’m not good.  I’m not bad.  I just like to win.  When I want something, I get it, because I chase it, and I don’t stop until I get it.  Until it’s all mine.”  You lean in close.  “Get it?”
His gaze darkens, brows pinching.  You take his fleeting moment of vulnerability to shove him onto his back.  He sprawls on the ground with a surprised yelp.  You sprint away at top speed and flip him off over your shoulder.
It’s a haphazard ploy at best but you are fresh out of plans.  What you need is distance between you and Security Guard of the Year, a breather long enough to come up with a final plan.  Maybe you can physically break in somewhere: an office window, a janitorial stairwell, something.
You keep an eye out for potential openings as you run.
And run.
And run.
Hmm.  You’ve been running a long time.   Even with the head-start, Felix should have caught you by now.  You doubt he would have truly given up.  Felix had a deranged look in his eye, similar to the one you get when someone is trying to beat you at your own game.  He doesn’t want you to win anymore than you want to lose.  You suspect it isn’t about the concert for him either; this is a personal battle.
You come to a gradual stop, hands on your hips as you catch your breath.  It’s quiet on this side of the stadium as the queues were on the opposite end.
Quiet, yes.  Too quiet.
There’s a stairwell that leads to second level just above your head.  Felix is good.  You have to give credit where credit is due.  If you weren’t a scheming nightmare with a penchant for con-artistry, he probably would have caught you.  But without turning around, you know he booked it up the stairs and is two seconds from springing an attack.
You take off running, just in time for him to thump into the grass beside you.  You laugh at his strangled cry of frustration as he scrambles to his feet.
Around the next corner is the parking lot.  You stop a split second to look over your shoulder and see him hot on your heels.   He discarded his jacket and is in a loose sleeveless shirt, revealing he does have some light toning to his lean body.  But you don’t stop to measure how proportionate it is to his strength, because he is focussed on you like a laser.
Then he smiles.  A slow, slinky smile like a cocky predator about to swipe at its prey.  That cat has claws, nasty ones, and you almost want to get tangled in them.  Almost.  You want to win even more.
And he just set you up for success.  There’s a SECURITY jacket on the ground somewhere nearby.  That’s your ticket in.  You just have to lose Felix in the parking lot and loop back around to find where he tossed it.
You spare no time setting that plan into action, giving Felix a smile of your own before you run.  He thunders after you.
The pair of you weave in and out of parked cars.  He disappears for a second behind a row of trucks.  You whip your head around to figure out where he went, only for him to summersault around the corner and cut you off.  You yell instinctively but narrowly dodge his reaching hand.   He curses, running after you with his arm outstretched.   You duck behind a trailer and lose him, scurrying between some SUVs.  You peek at him through the windows, watching him turn in a circle to find where you went.  Smiling to yourself, you quietly but quickly back away.
You leave the lot and run back the way you first came.  You find Felix’s jacket draped on a random bush.
Your heart is practically singing with adrenaline.  Victory is in sight.  You push yourself to run faster and reach out with both hands –
— only to find yourself rolling in the grass, Felix’s arms tight around your middle as he tackles you to the ground.
You push and pull at each other, cursing and scrambling very ungracefully.  You get out of his arms but he climbs on top of you, then you knee him in the gut so he rolls over, but when you start crawling he grabs your ankles and drags you back.
Ultimately, he Taekwondo Masters you onto your front, hands clasped behind your back.  You kick your feet and wail despondently into the grass as he kneels over you, breathing raggedly and swearing again.
“You’re a monster!” you shout.  “You’re a tyrant and a bully and you have no right to – HEY!”
He handcuffs you.
“Ha.”  He leans in close, speaking right into your ear.  “I win.”
“That’s not fair,” you say.  “You can’t just—ahh!”  You wail in petulance as he lifts you onto your feet.  His grip on your bicep is unyielding so you are forced to stomp alongside him as he escorts you…
…back to the sidewalk.
“You’re not busting me?” you ask in confusion.  You thought for sure he was going to drag you into some shady office and plop you in a chair until the police arrived.   He would probably be super boring and professional about it, staring at you with his dumb horny eyes but not doing anything about it.  Nothing sucks more than being all trussed up by a pretty boy with manners.
“I just want you to go and never come back,” Felix says.
“Fine.”  You turn around and hold your arms straight behind you.  “But I’m like a wolf, Felix.  I have your scent for life.”
“Yeah, sure,” he says.  “Not how wolves work by the way.  But fine.”
“Oh wow, sorry.  Didn’t realize you majored in Wolfology.  You got any other fun facts?”
“You are so—”
You smirk at his grumbling.  You are just biding your time until he uncuffs one wrist, then you whip around faster than he can compute the action.  With one cuff still attached, you grab the second and clamp it down on his wrist.  He sputters in bewilderment, at which point you snatch the keys.
“What are you doing—”  He tries to grab them but your joined hands make the angle too awkward.  You spin around together in a few circles, bonk heads twice, until finally you reel back and chuck the keys as far into the distance as possible.
He stands there, mouth agape.  You tap your foot impatiently.
When he realizes what has happened – that you have handcuffed yourself to him and thrown away the keys – he looks at you with fiery eyes, fierce enough you stumble.  He yanks your joined hands, the chain ungiving.  You watch as he goes through several stages of grief in a matter of moments.  Then he closes his eyes and breathes in and out.
“Why,” he says slowly, “did you just do that?”
“I dunno, Felix,” you say.  You plop down on the ground and sit cross-legged.  It forces him to bend over, your cuffed wrist dragging him down.  “Guess we’ll have to go inside and get some back-up keys.  And when I’m in the stadium and you uncuff yourself from me, I promise not to run away.”
“That’s your plan?” he snaps.  “That’s your plan?”
“What, is there an echo out here?”
“That’s your plan?” he asks again, his deep voice pitching up an octave.  He crouches down and shoves his free hand into his hair, shaking his head.  “This can’t be happening,” Felix says, more out loud to himself than you.  “Why is this happening.  Oh my god.”
You squeak when he tugs on the chain, yanking you close, nose to nose.
“What if I just called for back-up?” he asks. “Or skipped that and went right to the police?  How would you get out of that?”
“Wait,” you say.  “Why aren’t you doing that?”
“Because.”
He leans back as far as he can, sitting on his heels.  You duck your head, trying to meet his eye to no avail.  He clenches his jaw.
“Felix,” you say.  “Why aren’t you just calling for back-up?”
“Because,” he says through gritted teeth.  “The handcuffs.  Are.  Not.  Regulation.”
You look at each other.  There is a long moment of silence.
Then, “What!”  You cackle with complete and utter abandon.
A very unamused Felix glares at you while you throw your head back and laugh.
“You?” you cry, poking your finger against his chest.  “You?  You?  You are just walking around with a pair of handcuffs that you aren’t supposed to have?  What the fuuuuuck—”  You think you might die laughing.
“Jisung gave them to me before our shift!” he exclaims.  “It was a joke because— Never mind! I don’t have to explain myself to you!  Hello.  Hello.”  He grabs your chin with his free hand and turns your face roughly to his.   He jingles your joined hands.  “Not regulation,” he says.  “There are no other keys in this building.”
Silence falls again.
Then, “Oh.”  You stare at him.  “Shit.”
A minute later, you and Felix are scuttling around trying to find the key.  You must have a very good arm because it landed near the stadium and disappeared in some bushes.
You and Felix keep forgetting your wrists are connected, reaching in opposite directions only to snap back together.  You are certain you are going to end the night with a few bumps and bruises.
The entire time you are searching for the key, Felix is grumbling irritably.  He tears his way through a bush, his deep voice pitching up with a miserable whine when he can’t find it.
“This is so stupid,” he says.  He throws a stick at the wall.  “I am a good worker.  I never break the rules.  I am not getting in trouble for this. You did this.  You did this to me.”
On he goes, grumble, grumble, grumble, bitch, bitch, bitch.
“It’s not like the key disappeared,” you say, pushing some pebbles around.  “It has to be here somewhere.”
It is starting to get dark, the sky a deep purple.  The stadium lights blare down on you.  Felix uses his phone flashlight to beam extra light at the ground.  The only time he stops grumbling is when the noise in the stadium changes, the concert clearly beginning.  He takes time out of his busy searching schedule to give you a mean smile.
“When we find those keys,” you say, “I’m handcuffing you to that railing over there and leaving you to freeze to death in your stupid tank top.”
“It’s not a tank top,” he says.  “It’s a t-shirt.  I cut the sleeves off.  And when we find those keys, I’m handcuffing you to that railing over there and phoning the police.”
“Well then,” you say, “may the best key finder in a slutty tank top win.”
“It’s not a tank top.”
You continue to search.  It is utterly illogical that the keys would just vanish but the longer it takes, the more concerned you get.   It just doesn’t make sense!  Things don’t just disappear!  The keys landed somewhere over here, so they have to be…
You see it first.  You sit there in a stunned stupor.  You swat at Felix with your cuffed hand.
“What?” he says without looking at you.  You continue to slap him until he forces your hand down, tangling your fingers with his.  “What!”
You point.  He crowds in behind you to look over your shoulder.  You feel him exhale.
“Please don’t tell me…”
You both lean to look down the sewer drain.  He flashes his phone light over it.  Something silver glints back in the darkness.
“Fuck!” Felix says.  He doesn’t stop there.  What follows is a string of cusses so unbelievably foul and complex that you honestly believe it should quality him for Pulitzer in poetry.  When he has exhausted every expletive in several different languages, he plops down on his ass and stares up at the sky with mute despondency.
“So what happens now?” you ask.  “Do we fuck?”
“What?”  He looks at you with utter bewilderment.  “What the fuck?  Why would you suggest that?  What would that solve?”
“Nothing,” you say.  “But it would kill the time and couldn’t make things worse.”
“You are insane,” he says.  “I am handcuffed to an insane person.”
“Hey, ‘mate’, you were the one with the non-regulation handcuffs in the first place.  I could solve this problem real quick by phoning the authorities myself and saying some crazy guy put me in cuffs.”
“I dare you,” he says.  “Try.”
“No,” you say.  And not just because you have a record with the police and they would never take your side.  But Felix doesn’t need to know that.  Well, you suspect Felix is smart enough to guess it, but he doesn’t need the confirmation.  “I’d rather make you suffer,” you say instead.  You sit back in an insouciant slouch like the whole circumstance is beneath your attention.  “Figure it out, pretty boy.”
“Well,” he says, “apparently if you break your wrists then you can force them through the cuffs.”
“Ew!” You push him in the middle of his chest.  He doesn’t fall, but he does glare at you.  “We’re not doing that!  What a stupid plan!  You’ve been guzzling the hair dye fumes, buddy.  Think of a plan that doesn’t involve injury, thank you.”
“I didn’t want to do this,” Felix says with another put-upon sigh, “but fine.  I have another pair at home so the keys—”
“Wait,” you interrupt.  “I thought someone gave you the cuffs today?  Why do you have another key at home?”
“I have another pair,” he repeats, “of the same handcuffs.”
“You—”
“Already own a pair, yes, move on.”  He aggressively pushes hair out of his eyes.  “He clearly bought it from the same place so my key should work for this one too.”
“So despite your uppity school boy routine, you do own non-regulation handcuffs and not just as a joke.  Wow, Felix.”  You giggle helplessly.  “Be careful or I might start to like you.”
He is glaring at you, no surprise, but the tips of his ears blush pink.
“Let’s just go,” Felix says.  “The sooner I get you off, the sooner I can forget about your existence.”
“You can get me off as fast or slow as you like—ahh!”
Once more, the secret superman is manhandling you onto your feet.  Without pausing for breath, he turns and marches away.  You are forced to stumble behind his swift strides, your hands swinging close enough that your fingertips brush every so often.
“How do I know you’re not gonna murder me?” you ask.
“You don’t,” he replies.
“How do you know I’m not gonna murder you?”
“I don’t.”  He sounds more annoyed than afraid.  “But it sounds better than being cuffed to you forever.  I’ll take my chances.  Come on.”
“Not like I have a choice,” you grumble.
He comes to an abrupt halt and you crash into him with a sharp exhale.  He grabs your hand and tugs you close. You blink at him with surprise while he tips his head in that studious way.
“You’re right,” he says. “You don’t.  In fact, it’s almost nice, you forced to finally do what I’m asking.  If you’re not careful, it might even make me like you.”
It is so cold and sarcastic.
It gets you so hot.
Seriously, what is with your stupid brain?  How does it cross the wires of fear and desire like that?  Felix is speaking at you with that deep, dark, nasty voice of his and your heart should be skipping beats in concern, not because you think he’s sexy when he’s being a bitch.
You hide it from him well enough, glaring at him like he glared at you.  He just snorts and shakes his head.
“What?” you ask.
“Interesting,” he replies.  “Very interesting.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”  He smiles politely, for a moment looking like the unassuming pretty boy you thought he was.  He bats his long eyelashes at you, smiles a coy smile, and squeezes your hand.   “Come on,” he says.  “We tried this your way and it got us in trouble.  Time to be a good girl and do it my way.  No, stop, don’t say anything.  Be quiet.  Just walk.  Let’s go.”
You stumble when he tugs you after him.  Your mouth is hanging open yet again.
You are proud to say that in your many years of bad girl shenanigans, you have never truly met your match.  You’ve played pretend a few times, let a couple losers think they won, if only because you liked the game of it.  But no one has ever really taken control.  No one has ever really beat you.  No one has ever come close.
No one.  Until today.
You glare at the back of Felix’s head, brain stampeding as fast as your heart.   Because finally, you’ve found him, your perfect match.  Lashed to you through the metal manifestation of fate’s red string.
You didn’t know what game you were playing before, but now you do.
And you’re going to win.

Saw u wanted some sun skz thoughts ehehehej <33 I am here to give my 2 cents 😽😽
Sub Hyunjin who adores getting his long hair pulled while you ride him; whispering into his ear as you do so about how good he feels. Subby Hyunjin would also has a massive praise kink and immediately folds when you tell him he’s big and fills you up so good 😼🫶🏻
But also!!!!!
Sub Seungmin who’s never been in sub space before; basically he is always the one dominating you!! But one day the tables turn and he’s confused as to why he likes seeing your body loom over him. He’s whimpering, eyebrows furrowed while his lips pout. And he looks so pretty you can’t help but edge him a little! Switching between bouncing on his dick to marking up his chest while grinding slowly on him, waiting for him to say something but he CAN’T because it’s too overwhelming. You’ll only let him cum when he sets his pride aside and begs for it like a good boy :>
Alright that’s all I hope you’re having a good day <33 ur writing >>

HELLO i can immediately hop on and say that hwang hyunjin has a massive praise kink and would melt the second you call him "your good boy." he would get so fucked out from the feeling of your sopping cunt fucking itself down onto his cock---all he can do is mindlessly nod and slur out agreements :(
AND YES! the lack of sub!seungmin content on here is astonishing considering he'd be such a bratty little thing :( he'd be so hesitant considering it's so far out of his comfort zone, but no matter how much he shakes his head and laughs nervously at the sight of your taunting face smirking over him, his cock throbs at the thought of potentially submitting himself to you. i think seungmin would be obsessed with forced submission, but that's a story for a different time, hehe!
EDGING SEUNGMIN oh my god, what a dream. he'd purse his lips to conceal his whines because he cannot give you the satisfaction of his submission. he's doing well at first, only letting out shaky exhales once and a while, but as soon as you remove your hand the second before he's about to cream all over your hand, he can't prevent the whimper from escaping his mouth. GOD he'd look so ravishing with his veins protruding from his neck, eyebrows furrowed, and eyes teary, all because he's trying so hard to stay silent!!!
as soon as you edge him for the third time, he loses it. whatever, he thinks. he'll get you back later. besides, the gentle and comforting whispers of reassurance from you, ensuring to him that he'd cum as long as he begged for you, were irresistible :(

stranger (hwang hyunjin x gn!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
angst, hurt without comfort, break up, reader is in shambles
an: that's definitely not my best work so im really sorry for any mistakes >< nonetheless i hope you'll enjoy it, bc in my head the idea was pretty cool :3 also, the paragraphs written in italic are the memories, i dont know if i made it clear enough😭
Tumblr media
“yn, don’t make it even harder,” hyunjin whispered as he glanced at your face. you must’ve looked truly pathetic - the tears were making their way down your red, puffy face and you were sobbing loudly. you couldn’t believe what had just happened - did he really break up with you or was it just a bad dream?
“hyune- baby, please, i-” you stuttered, gasping for air in between sobs.
“i’ve made my decision. goodbye, yn.” with that he closed the door, leaving you on the floor of your apartment. your vision was blurry and you were too weak to even get up. that day you fell asleep on the floor by the entrance, foolishly hoping that hyunjin would come back to you.
you recalled the memory, stepping out of the shower. it was the first time in a week when you decided to take care of yourself after hyunjin broke up with you. it’d been a hard week, but you couldn’t remember much anyway. the only thing you knew was the pain in your chest as if your heart was ripped from your body.
you didn’t bother to put on any clothes or to brush your damp hair since you headed straight to bed. you dropped your tired, achy body on the messy beddings and you shivered. it’d been raining for the past few days and you wondered if the sun had peeked into your bedroom through the curtains and told the clouds to match your mood so you wouldn’t feel lonely. you curled yourself into a ball, placing your hands on your shoulders as the raindrops pattered softly on your window. tap, tap, tap, the rhythm of the rain made your finger move faintly against your shoulder and suddenly the memories flooded your brain.
you felt someone tapping your shoulder and you yelped, blushing instantly as you realised you made too much noise in the library.
“sorry! sorry, i just-” the boy started hesitantly, whisper-yelling the apology. “are going to use that book?” he pointed to the textbook you were holding firmly in your hands. you nodded.
“oh, okay, sorry for bothering you!” he said with a frown and started walking away.
“wait! you can join me if also need it,” you suggested with a shy smile and he stopped in his tracks, turning around to you with a grin.
your hand wandered down your body, stopping at the waist. you squeezed it once, just like hyunjin used to do. a few tears made their way down your face.
“we passed!” hyunjin exclaimed as he ran to you with a piece of paper in his hand. you grinned at him as he stopped right in front of you, proudly showing you his score.
“congrats, hyune! are you going to-” you started but never finished as he suddenly grabbed your waist and picked you up, spinning you around, and you giggled. when he put you down he still firmly held your waist with one hand, squeezing it.
“let’s go and eat something, hm? my treat,” he said and you just smiled, letting him lead the way.
you squeezed your eyes, loud sobs now leaving your body as you remembered how happy you two used to be together. the rain outside intensified, turning into a downpour, and it made you feel even worse. “stop crying” you thought. “show the sun you’re okay so the clouds won’t have to suffer anymore.”
you moved your hand to wipe your wet cheek, but you just rested it there, suddenly remembering how hyunjin used to cradle your face.
“look, i can hold the whole world in my hands,” he whispered, looking you deeply in the eyes as his hands held your cheeks. you blushed and playfully hit him in the arm.
“stop being cheesy,” you whined, dropping your eyes because hyunjin’s gaze was too piercing for you. he giggled at your words and kissed your forehead.
“i just really love you, you know?” he then said and you hid your red face in the crook of his neck, breathing his cologne and relaxing completely as his arms protected you from the outside world. in that moment you felt complete.
a long wail left your body. it hurt, it hurt so much you thought you weren’t going to make it. what was left for you anyway? there was no one who could hug you after a long day, no one who could wait for you with warm dinner, no one who loved you.
you brought your hand to your hair, desperately trying to comb through them as hyunjin used to whenever you felt too overwhelmed. you grazed your nails on your scalp, imitating his movements, but it only increased the pain. you didn’t know how to treat yourself anymore - you gave all of you to hyunjin and as he left he took your heart with him, leaving you with the void that nothing and no one could ever fill again.
you wrapped your arms around your body again, squeezing yourself as hard as you could, but you soon realised only hyunjin could embrace you tightly enough for all the broken parts of you to fall back into place. with the day he left you you became a stranger to yourself.

“Oh human!” A melodic voice called into your room.
You sighed loudly and closed the book you had been reading. You may live in a wondrous set of rooms in a tower at the end of a valley, but it was a prison all the same.
“Hyunjin,” You sighed, “You could at least refer to me by my name.”
Hyunjin threw the doors open to the room you currently inhabited. “Ash is so dull. Like you're what comes after a great fire.”
Your mouth felt like it was full of ash. Hyunjin never hid how quickly his passion for you became ash. Now you were simply a human caught in the fae realm, his muse for creativity when he, as an immortal, could find none.
Still, Hyunjin prattled on, not swayed by his purpose. “What have you been working on?”
There was no use trying to keep it away from him. He would cajole it out of you sooner or later. You tilted your book towards him and he peered over. His intelligent and bright eyes moved with alacrity, consuming the words you had put to paper. He smiled in glee, wicked and cunning. “I know the perfect painting for that.”
This was the ever-turning of your life. You couldn't tell the pass of time, not like in the mortal realm. There were different seasons, but Hyunjin lived in a valley that was permanently caught in the throws of high summer. So the only way to judge the passing of time was your works, and the works of Hyunjin that followed after. Either he would create from inspirations of your writing or you would write from inspirations of his paintings. It was a torturous pairing, and one that you would sever, if only you could.
You had first met Hyunjin when you were a burgeoning writer. You were young and fearless but also clueless. Hyunjin had been a gorgeous temptation. His sharp mind was what lured you in, another kindred spirit of the arts. You had fallen fast for the beautiful man, but he had a secret.
“If only I could bring you back with me,” Hyunjin sighed as the sun set. He leaned against the windowsill of your tiny cottage.
“Back to the city?” You wondered curiously, interest suddenly piqued.
Hyunjin shrugged. “It’s amazing there. So many others like us, who love the arts and want to live their lives surrounded by the arts.”
“We can go!” You jumped up, cheeks flushing at the pleased look in Hyunjin’s eyes.
“Are you sure? Didn’t you say your elder sister frowned upon our companionship?” He quirked an eyebrow at you.
You sighed heavily. “Oh, poo, she can sit on a stick. I want to live my own life.”
Despite your elder sister's warnings about Hyunjin, your head was full of dreams of creating a life with others that honored the arts--unlike everyone else in your tiny, back water village. You followed Hyunjin, hand in hand, down your well-worn road and into the forest. Hyunjin sent you a mischievous smile when you wondered why you had left the road.
“This is a special shortcut,” he said.
A jolt of excited electricity shot through you at the thought that perhaps shortcut was an euphemism for some slap and tickle, perhaps Hyunjin would indulge you with his head between your legs like you had fantasized--
“Over here,” Hyunjin brought you back to reality, tugging your arm towards a mushroom circle.
“You’re not about to lure me to a faerie circle, are you, Jinnie?” You teased back.
“And what if I was?” Hyunjin drew you into the circle of his arms just barely hovering before the circle.
“I would follow you there,” You murmured back, drunk on his attentions.
It took a while to settle into the fact that Hyunjin was Fae. As soon as the two of you crossed over into the Fae Realm, his glamor had been dismissed. The delicate curve of his ears was the most apparent, along with the blast of his power, it practically radiated off of him, alluring and warm like the sunshine of the realm you had crossed over into.
The sex perhaps distracted you from the majority of the way Hyunjin mindfucked you into believing this was the life you had traded for. The first time he bent you over your desk to fuck you, was titillating.
“I’m here to give you inspiration,” he murmured into the shell of your ear.
His flowing shirt fluttered over your lower back as he pressed into you. “My muse,” he cooed and continued to enter you until he hit the end of you.
“Hyunjin!” You whimpered, nails digging into the oak wood below you.
“This is only the beginning of the pleasures I can give to you,” Hyunjin promised.
He urged your upper body to lift up, so that he could whisper further honeyed lies into your ear. He waxed poetic of the world the two of you would live in; he would wrap himself around you for years and you would write and he would paint and your lives would be fulfilled.
This was when he imprinted on you, biting into your shoulder and connecting you with himself forever. You heard from the lesser Fae that imprinting was usually meant to connect two Fae, like a pact of marriage. Your heart surged when you heard this, sure in your decision to follow Hyunjin away from your mortal life.
And for a decade or two, you were so utterly in love with Hyunjin, that you grew ignorant of the way he treated you. Hyunjin kept you locked up in a wonderful tower. He told you it was to keep you safe from the other Fae, even though he was never a threat to you. He told you the tower let you view the city, the valley, all the inspiration a writer would need. And it worked.
Until he stopped visiting your bed, stopped whispering honeyed lies about how much you meant to him. Oh, he meant every word that you meant a lot to him for he could not lie, but it was not about love, like you had been interpreting it. Hyunjin valued you for your human emotions, for your human imagination. Being immortal meant that you grew bored, you lacked any new sights, but a human--a human was full of new eyes and thus the perfect muse.
When you caught up with his trickery, it was too late. You were bound in your pretty prison, bound to repeat whatever Hyunjin wanted in order for him to live his best immortal life. And that’s when your summary, lovely, warm life started to leak its colorfulness.
You started to rebel and truly learned what it was to be at the mercy of a Fae Master. Hyunjin didn’t take well to you refusing to create anything for him. Your first set of punishment was to be worked as a servant for the Fae. You spent a spell as a food server but the atrocities you were privy to truly opened you up to the world you were trapped in. Torture was a passing amusement for Fae while they ate. You once watched a starving human be served up their own foot and ate it.
But nothing was worse than the months you were forced to serve the humans that were kept in the breeding pits. “You should watch your tongue, mortal, before I cast you in with that lot,” Hyunjin had threatened you when you broke your quill and threw your book out of your window.
Certain humans were kept in a series of cells in the very tower you were trapped in, unbeknownst to you. The Ciaradh court loved to study humans and they were constantly obsessed with creating new young. Some Fae theorized that getting a human fat with child was easier than bunnies fucking in spring, so there was a dedication to seeing if it was so true.
There were chances when said breeding humans were ‘walked’, for their benefit of course. Hyunjin would also, upon feeling like boasting of his Human Muse, take you for a walk in the beautiful cultivated gardens surrounding the tower. Of the flowers that grew there, there was one that was a washed-out blue, a rose that seemed to get skimmed over, but you were drawn to it. It was an imperfect color that reminded you of the skies in the human realm, unlike the perfect summer-sky blue that this realm always seemed to maintain.
You remembered this particular poor human, in a ratty white dress that barely covered her modesty, whom you had fed in the breeding pits. This one you found a few times smiling at a bluebird singing to her. You had fondly called her Rose, for you two were the only ones who admired the washed-out blue rose that the Fae sneered at for its imperfection--that only made it more beautiful to the two of you.
Back to the current time, where Hyunjin was painting something dark and seductive--which matched your mood to a T from your writings that you showed him. You couldn't help but resent the fact that he could still pull creatively from you, despite your connection to him remaining solely in the fact that he had imprinted on you because of his ambitions.
Hyunjin put down his paintbrush and sent a look your way; you knew what that look meant, he was going to torture you. You were starting to wonder if physical torture might be preferred to the methods Hyunjin enjoyed.
“Doesn’t she look like she’s enjoying herself?” Hyunjin wondered at his painting.
The painting wasn’t completed but you couldn't help but agree. The human lady in question, flowing robes not bothering to conceal her nakedness, had a Fae at her throat and a Fae between her legs. She was giving and taking, caught between violence and passion; exactly where you wanted to be.
“Yes,” You said dryly.
“Oh, come on now!” Hyunjin stood up from his stool, “No need to be jealous!”
“I’m hardly jealous, Hyunjin,” You spat.
Hyunjin’s eyes, dark and cruel, focused on you. “That’s right. It could be worse. I could throw you to the hounds, see if they eat you up or create a new mongrel for the court.”
Your anger seethed through you, fear interwoven within. “You’re so very considerate,” You replied blandly, attempting not to rise to Hyunjin’s barbs, even though you knew he could tell exactly how you felt, through your bond.
Hyunjin rolled his eyes and sighed dramatically. “You’re no fun anymore, human.”
When Hyunjin left, you threw a fit. You threw books and tore papers, spilled ink and broke quills. And when you were done letting your anger course through you, you were left with a broken heart and a near-broken mind. You couldn't do this anymore, you simply couldn't. Centuries more like this and you were likely to truly go mad, and the worst thing was, that would delight Hyunjin all the more. That you could not let happen.
You had to escape.
You knew what happened to humans who ran. The stories were practically drummed into you after Hyunjin broke your heart but wanted to dissuade you from even risking the chance. You knew the consequences, the repercussions. But what if you could twist and tailor this escape to benefit you? You had lived amongst the Fae long enough to have learned a trick or two.
For weeks, the plan coiled and formed in your mind. If you ran, Hyunjin’s bond would direct him where you were. But Hyunjin was a spoiled rotten Fae, he wouldn’t dirty his hands and go after you. He would run back to his parents, for he was from the Oidhche court originally. When you were still starry-eyed for the Fae world, Hyunjin would fill you with stories from the darker realm. He told you of how they would hunt humans for sport, to make you squeal and giggle. But you distinctly remember the stories about the Hound.
The Hound was a cautionary tale but a useful one. During one of the many wars between the courts, a Fae Hound had been changed from a dog to a humanoid form. It had been a way to save one Fae from fighting teeth and claws. That Hound had survived the war, miraculously, and gone on to settle down with a Fae woman. They had copulated and made a child, who much to the horror of the mother, had his father’s characteristics that he had kept hidden. The child was left at the mercy of the dark forest within the Oidhche court’s borders, but had grown up, albeit a bit more wild than most Fae children, which was saying something, really. That Hound Child was indebted to Hyunjin’s father who had taken him in, and that particular Fae would be sent to bring you back.
How were you going to escape when a Fae who was part Hound of the Hunt was tracking you? Well, you had an answer for that. You see, Hyunjin had also taken great glee in telling you said Hound was celibate, and had been for as long as Hyunjin could remember. So if you could offer the hound sex, tempt him with breaking his vow, he would be forsworn and nothing meant more to a Fae than his word. He would be worthless and without standing in his court. He would be… at the same level as a human, basically a death sentence. You could work with that. You would need a liquid aphrodisiac to prepare yourself for the seduction but you knew in your gut you would need more to seduce a century’s old Fae.
Hyunjin found your rooms the next day in ruins. But the true fact that actually made his face cloud over in anger was his ruined painting. That sent you to servants quarters. They put you on duty to the breeding pits, delivering their pittance of food.
You found Rose in a bad place and yet still she found a smile for you. An idea struck. It was very clear that Rose was recovering from a game played with her body and a Fae. You told Rose of your idea to escape and asked to exchange your clothes for the provocative dress that covered Rose’s body.
“Are you sure about this?” You couldn't help but worry that Rose would get in trouble for losing her dress.
Rose’s smile was strong despite her fragile appearance. “Even if they take it from me tomorrow, at least I’ll have slept in some clean clothes that were warm for one night.”
Rose’s attitude, despite what the world had thrown at her, only made you steel your spine. You were going to be like Rose and persevere. You were going to leave this place behind.
Hyunjin’s visits, however, were throwing you in a loop. You had a pack prepared and stashed for weeks before you were given an opportunity. If you left and Hyunjin found you gone too quickly, your escape would be pointless. So you had to wait until Hyunjin visited you next but there was no rhyme or reason to Hyunjin’s visits.
All you could do was work on perhaps the last thing you might write in your human life.
You wrote a story thinking of your sister, of your childhood, of how not everything was better on the other side of the grass. You wrote and distracted yourself and soon enough Hyunjin visited. You showed him your work, his eyes gleamed with inspiration and then he visited for three days before his painting was finished. And if you were honest with yourself, his painting was one of his best in decades.
Hyunjin eyed you curiously. “What’s got you suddenly so fired up? You haven’t written something that refreshing in years?”
You shrugged. “I’ve got a new lover.”
Hyunjin blinked at you blankly for a few seconds and then burst into laughter. He would have felt your lust if you were having sex with someone else through the bond. He knew how lonely you were for companionship, it practically wafted off of you when he visited. Hyunjin clutched his arms around his belly before finally he wiped some tears from his eyes. “Well, whatever it is, keep it up. I might let you come back to court if you do.”
Honeyed lies were Hyunjin’s specialty. He had you living off hopes and dreams forever until you let your love for him die for him. He would promise the world and mean it but there was no keeping track of the amount of loopholes he could find. He was Fae after all.
Once Hyunjin left, you could hardly contain yourself until nightfall. Then, during when the moon rose to its highest peak, you stole into the night in a dress that would lure every predator out. You ducked your head and told each guard passing that you were finally destined for the pits. They either made noises of sympathy or laughed at your demise, having seen you with Hyunjin during one time or another.
That was how you made your way down the Tower. At the base, you brightly informed that guard that Hyunjin had finally taken you back. You watched as a romantic look passed through his eyes and he let you go. For Fae that twisted the truth to their own benefit, slipping through them as a lying human sure was satisfying.
You pulled out a map and followed the landmarks to quickly get out of Ciaradh and cross over into Oidhche territory. Hyunjin would think you were an idiot, moving closer to the Fae that would be hunting you but that was all a part of your plan. You wanted the Hound to find you.
First things first, you had to get out of Ciaradh.
The various cities were easy to avoid. It was the faerie mounds and valleys that made it hard to travel. There was nowhere to hide. Just the beautiful rolling hills, which was the other reason why you wanted to get to Oidhche.
There was one place that you spotted and thought perhaps it would give you relief. A tree had fallen high atop a hill. With its roots still clinging to the earth, it made an impromptu overhang. You’re not sure if an ogre had knocked down the beautiful, solitary tree or perhaps the earth was simply taking back what once it gave, but either way, the hair on your arms rose with the feel of power once you reached the shadow of the overhang.
This was a well of the natural magic of the Fae realm. With it, you would be hidden from the majority of any Fae magic. The natural magic simply messed with anything else. Except you weren’t the only one that thought that it was a good hiding place for a human fleeing.
During the early morning after you had slumbered in the well of magic, you heard talking and shouting, waking you up immediately. “Oh, Yeon-Yeon, are you hiding here?”
You froze as an adorable female Fae with wings poked their head from the top of the overhang. “You’re not my human,” she said, clearly perplexed. “He’s not here, Binnie!” The head disappeared and you thought perhaps your luck won out. It had not.
The female fairie yanked you by your arm and half flew, half dragged you out to show the other Fae she was with, that you were, in fact, not ‘Yeon-Yeon’. You protested and ended up landing on your ass in front of a very buff Brownie. “I told you he isn’t smart enough to hide here!” She scoffed.
He frowned down at you, arms having a hard time crossing over his chest, but contemplated you with a hand at his chin. “But I swore I smell him this way.”
“Are you sure we can’t just take this one? She’s adorable too!” The female cooed at you. You slapped her hand when she reached to bop your nose.
Binnie’s frown deepened. “No. We have to find OUR human, Heart. This is not our hunt. And you know we must respect another’s hunt. Now respect ours and leave that human.”
The female sighed heavily. “Fine. I don't like that one anymore anyways. She’s not that cute if she slaps.”
After your encounter with the two Fae, you continued to hit your streak of bad luck. You almost got lured into a satyr’s traveling party, where the music got your feet tapping and dancing, and you would never stop. As a human, it was a death sentence. You ate a flower that you thought you read gave you night vision but in fact made you believe the opposite of everything you thought true. You almost backtracked a full day before it wore off--your feet trying to take you back to Hyunjin.
You almost cried in relief when you saw a dark forest in the distance. That was the territory marker for Oidhche. You had felt Hyunjin’s rage a few nights ago zoom through your bond and you knew that the hound would be sent to retrieve you. The second part of your plan was about to come into effect and you couldn't help but be excited. And that’s when you downed the Faerie Dew, preparing to seduce a Fae.
🐕🐕🐕
“Get up, Hound.”
A boot kicked San’s foot and he rolled his eyes upwards slowly in response. “Hyunjin,” He acknowledged.
Hyunjn’s eyes scrunched up into half moons, malicious delight beaming from them. “I’ve got a job for you.”
“I don't do jobs for you,” San retorted and closed his eyes again.
“It’s an order from my father,” Hyunjin said tightly.
San sighed heavily. “What is it?”
“It’s time for you to hunt down a little lost human,” Hyunjin revealed.
San rolled his eyes and stood up. He rolled his neck, cracking it dramatically. “Why do I feel like this has to do with you?”
To say that San did not like Hyunjin was an understatement. San was a useful tool to have in the household he was adopted into but Hyunjin was the prized son. Where San was made to work and toil, sneered at by the majority of his peers, Hyunjin was sought after, praised and elevated. The two had never liked each other; Hyunjin because San was the son his father chose and San Hyunjin because he was never a beloved son.
“It doesn’t matter why the command was given, just follow it like the good little doggie you are,” Hyunjin sneered.
“At least I didn’t flee my family because I couldn't live up to their expectations,” San shot back, balling his fists and readying for a fight.
But San would get none. Hyunjin’s power was not in his fists but in his words. “Go fetch my scraps, doggie. That’s all you’re good for, after all.” Hyunjin threw a piece of personal clothing of yours at San and turned around.
Every muscle in San’s body tensed but he knew he could not attack his benefactor’s son. He would lose the tiny foothold he had in the Oidhche Court, however tiny it was, it was something he clung to. He would always want to be a part of the Fae, to prove he was worthy of remaining amongst them; that he was not an animal.
Hyunjin walked away, confident that he came out on top, and from his point of view, he had. But San had the true last word.
“I’ll fetch her and come back and be told that I am his most worthy son, that you are worthless, and that I should have been born to him.”
🐕🐕🐕
San transformed to his other form, a Hound of the hunt, in order to use his abilities to the best. His sleek, powerful form ran through the Oidhche dark woods and marshes, ruins and lakes. He followed your scent, nose to the ground, taking only time to drink water and rest only minutes at the time. His endurance could take him far but his determination even farther.
Something San did not call was that he would encounter another Fae on the hunt. He drew abreast with a horse that was not a horse. San recognized Kai in his other form, the dark horse with long fangs, a Kelpie.
Kai, like himself, was a bit of an outcast within the Oidhche court. Kai had slowly become blind when he changed courts and was looked down upon, like San was as a half-breed. They weren’t friends but more like allies in a world that saw them as the bottom of the barrel of Fae.
Kai threw his head to signal that they should veer towards a nearby lake and San barked in reply. The two of them slowed their pace and then changed forms, to speak to each other.
“Didn’t expect to see you here,” San said first, cupping his hands and pouring water over his head from the lake.
Kai looked amused. “I’m hunting a human but what’s your excuse?”
“Fetching trash for the master’s son,” San grumbled.
Kai’s amusement slowly melted away. “You should snap it’s neck then.”
San ran a hand through his hair, shaking out access water, and stood up. “Wish I could. You know we can never interfere with a hunt. An escaped human is an escaped human.”
Kai’s slightly amused expression was back and present. San recognized it as Kai’s default face, the mask he wore at court. “Then we should do what’s in our power to help each other out.” Kai gestured with his chin towards the lake that spanned far and wide. “I’ll help you cross the lake.”
San shutdown the feeling of gratitude and surprise he felt immediately. Kai wouldn’t be able to see it anyways but his court training of not truly revealing what he felt kicked in regardless. “That would be appreciated.”
Kai waded into the water and changed form once again. This was his third form, his truest form. His upper half was that of a horse and the lower part of a fish. San rode on Kai’s upper back, amazed at the speed of the kelpie. That lower half that was tail helped them sail through the lake’s waters and Kai’s Kelpie presence kept all the other, nastier, baser Fae away. What would have been hours of circling around the lake was cut in half as Kai swam through the center of the lake and delivered San on the other shore.
Kai changed back to his human form to rest but jauntily saluted San as San turned back into a hound and went back to his hunt.
📗📗📗
Your attitude once you were inside the dark forest was a bit 50/50. Your heart was in your throat, knowing at any moment a Fae Hound would be on your heels, and you were excited for that, but what if he never changed into his human form? What if he simply clamped his jaws around your wrist and dragged you back to his master…back to Hyunjin?
Soon, you felt like the forest was fighting against you. Branches tore at your bare arms as if they were trying to slow you down. Roots threw themselves in your way, trying to trip you up. Noises, that which you had never heard during the years you had lived in the Fae Realm, haunted you. There was a small part of your human mind that knew you shouldn’t be here but was that a part of the dark spell that was this forest or was that instinct kicking in for you to survive?
Your lower half was slick and wet, preparing for someone to fuck you and that conflicted with your state of mind. How could you be so turned on but so terrified about what was around each thick, gnarled tree trunk? Did your heart beating in your throat add to the throbbing of your cunt? It had been so very long since the last time Hyunjin had fucked you, perhaps this hadn't been a good idea to tempt yourself, and fate, like this…
A loud howl broke through your inner thoughts and you shivered in response. The hound had found you. You knew it in your bones that this was the defining moment that would free you… or break you.
You broke out into a run, stumbling at first and then becoming hyper aware of everything. The rocks that you had to jump over, ducking under low-hanging branches, you ran in the opposite direction of where the howl had sounded.
“Please, please, please, please,” You chanted to yourself. Tears pricked the corner of your eyes, the need to fuck and to survive prompting them. You dashed them away with the back of your hand. That wasn’t going to help.
Soon, the howls began to get closer, and you could hear sharp barks. Did he smell your scent as a human or did he smell how wet your sex was? Was he eager for the hunt or for your cunt? Your heart and mind were working a million miles per second, the unknown playing with your mind.
A growl made you jump and you almost tripped and hit the ground. You caught yourself, pushing back up and running. You didn’t dare look back, afraid you would lose your courage in completing this if you did. You did hear a snapping of jaws and a snarl and you hoped that your planning would all work out in the end. It had to.
You gasped as something hard and real slammed into you and you finally fell. There were no nails digging into your shoulder blades nor teeth snapping at you, so you felt relief to know that the hound had changed into his humanoid form and sealed his fate.
The snarl in your ear was just as real as the body pressed up against you, pushing you into the soft, forest floor. The snarling tampered down to a quiet, curious growl. You could feel puffs of air along the skin behind your ear and then down your neck. Your pulse was beating wildly and you were worried for a moment that instead of this moment pushing towards lust, it would turn towards bloodshed like its original intent.
You pushed your ass back into the body above you and the snarling started up again. “Do not struggle, human, it’s futile.” The one on top of you was Fae, you knew that, but his melodic voice was not what you had expected.
“I think you like the struggle, pup,” You shot back at him.
You pushed and rubbed your ass further into the hard body and struggled to halt your smirk. You could feel him hard against the soft material of your dress. His hips pressed forward to pin you harder but he only managed to choke on a moan at the friction.
Just as soon as your body had been pushed against the ground, you were flipped over and hauled up with a harsh hand around your upper arm. The sharp cut of his jaw and cheekbones almost took the breath from your lungs, despite living amongst the beautiful fae for so long.
The hound opened his mouth to probably threaten you some more but no sound left it. His eyes scanned over your dress, that was ripped in a few places that definitely aided in your plan. The globes of your breasts were pushed up, the swell of your hips framed by the cut-outs in the dress, it was the perfect peekaboo dress.
His eyes snapped upwards to meet yours. “Where did you get such a garment?”
You smiled sweetly. “I live amongst the Fae. Is it so odd to acquire a few pieces of their beautiful clothing?”
The hound shook his head, almost as if he needed to clear it. “I’m taking you back now.”
You were still in close proximity, so you boldly pressed your hand to his tight leather pants. “This poses a problem, does it not?”
The whimper that escaped the hound’s lips made you clench your thighs tightly together. Anger immediately radiated from him. “Stop with your human tricks.”
You cocked your head. “Tricks? But I’m a mere human. What could I possibly offer?” The heel of your hand grinded down on the head of his cock and he gasped softly.
The hound grabbed your wrist and wretched your hand from his cock. His shoulders moved slightly, indicating you’ve got his breathing increased at least. “I am under a vow of celibacy, you will cease your antics.”
You raised an eyebrow at him. “A willing vow of celibacy?”
The hound kept his grip on your wrist and began to tug you back the way he came. “I am a mongrel; I cannot further pollute the bloodlines,” He muttered over his shoulder.
You tugged back, trying to halt your movement, but just ended up slamming into the broad back of the Fae sent to bring you back to your life of torture and tedium. “I’m not Fae. You won’t muck up my bloodlines.”
You felt rather than heard the sigh from the hound. “A vow is a vow. Now, be quiet, it was hard enough tracking you down from one kingdom to another.”
Instead, you wrapped your arms around his tiny waist, fingers tracing his padded leather armor. “We don’t have to head back so soon,” you purred.
Once again, you were manhandled. Both of his hands clamped down on your wrists. With movement speed beyond a human’s comprehension, you were whisked around his body and pinned up against a tree now, your wrists in manacles made by his hands, the bark digging into your back.
“I don’t know what your intentions are, and I do not want to know. All I know is that I’ve been ordered to track a human pet that’s escaped from the Ciaradh kingdom and to drag her back. I’ve been ordered to bring you back alive but accidents can happen.” And in all his righteous anger, he was a glory to behold. You had struck gold, to be hunted by such a Fae.
You licked your lips in anticipation. You hooked one of your legs around his slim waist and arched your back. “Is it really breaking your vow if you slid into me just a wee bit? Surely getting your tip wet isn’t against the rules.”
You watched as the hound’s adam’s apple moved up and down as he swallowed. “Why do you tempt me?” He whined, perhaps already feeling the temptation you were offering.
“You are temptation itself,” You whispered back. Your eyes moved over his features, strong and handsome. “How could one not want to tempt you?”
He scoffed, looking away. “You are a human drunk on Fae magic.”
“I have lived for a long time amongst the Fae. Their magic isn’t as strong as it used to be on me. I speak no lies,” You pushed.
The hound examined you for a moment, pursed his lips and then looked away again. “You could be lying about a lie, you are human after all, and do not have to adhere to our ways.”
“What do they call you, hound?” You wondered, feeling yourself falling into your own trap, in a way.
The hound’s eyebrows furrowed in genuine confusion. “Why? I am nothing.” He shook his head. “You are a peculiar human.” When he saw you still waiting patiently, he professed his name was San.
“San,” You tested it out, like it was candy on your tongue. “It’s a good name to scream during ecstasy.”
You watched as his eyes changed, a fraction from his righteous anger, to curiosity. He simply did not understand why you were offering what you were. Surely he was used to the games the Fae played, he was one of them after all. But he did mention he was a mongrel. Perhaps he did not get treated as one of them?
You took the moment to wrap your other leg around his waist. San’s arms flexed to balance out the weight so that your upper half was still pinned successfully as your lower half pressed against him. “I’m offering a taste. Don’t you want it?”
“I have been celibate for more years than you have been trapped here,” San whispered, a tinge of sadness coating his words.
You weren’t sure when was the last time Hyunjin touched you. It had been so long that you gave up ever hoping for it again. It was odd to have such a thing in common with one of them. Your body was practically singing for San. This was how you survived but couldn't you perhaps enjoy it as well?
You rolled your body against San’s again, groaning lowly when your completely uncovered bottom half ran against San’s leather-covered groin. “Please.”
San’s precarious control snapped like a leash on a feral dog. His lips slanted over yours, tongue tangling with yours. His hands released your wrists and connected at the small of your back, urging your body against his. He sighed into your mouth, this time of relief instead of defeat, still kissing you in earnest, messy and full of saliva. Your hands curled around his jaw in an attempt to hold him in place, to gain control, but there was none of that with San.
He led the pace and the pace was grueling. He was rutting against you and you were very sensitive due to the aphrodisiac, the Faerie Dew, you had drunk. “Wait, wait,” You protested against his mouth, “You should be inside me, not against me.”
San panted heavily now, eyes wary and dangerous. “I should not. We can circumvent my vow this way. Simply take what I can give you, human.”
His sentence gave you a bad taste in your mouth, similar to how you felt after interactions with Hyunjin.
“Oh human!”
“My name is Ash,” You snapped.
San narrowed his eyes on you. “And I'm the Fae in charge of hunting you down. The Hound. We all know our place by now.”
You reached between your bodies and desperately pulled at the ties of his pants, undoing them and revealing something mouth-watering. Hyunjin had always been long and slender, but San’s cock was heavy and thick, something that looked like it deserved to part lower lips. “Goddess,” you cursed under your breath.
“Just the tip, right?” San reminded you, tongue coming out to lick his lips.
“Just the tip,” You reassured him and then sunk down on his cockhead.
You both groaned in unison, eyes rolling into the back of your heads. You started to move your hips when San’s hands grasped them hard. “Don’t move,” He ordered you.
“I plan on doing more than moving,” You informed him, lifting a little only to push him further into your heat.
“You--you can’t,” San whined, his eyes getting a faraway look.
“Who would imagine, a Fae pussy-drunk on a human’s cunt.”
San’s eyes sharpened on you. He pulled out of you completely and you almost cried out at the loss before he slammed into you full-hilt. Your breath was caught in your throat at that moment. You were so full and he was so thick--
“What’s wrong, Ash, stupid from my dumb mongrel cock?” San hissed into your ear. His nose ran along your neck, inhaling deeply.
“It’s so--” You desperately shook your head. You had a plan to enact, you couldn't afford to fall into the lust so deeply. Your life depended on this.
The hard snap of San’s hip against you had your body jolting. San’s eyes zeroed in on the mounds of your breast bouncing because of his harsh pace. He withdrew and then snapped into you, his head dipping low to lick the tops of your breasts. “So good,” He growled.
You wrapped your arms around San’s head, pushing him into your bosom. “Indulge in me,” You encouraged him.
“I--” San raised his head, looking as if he was barely treading water from his lust-filled mind.
“Take it,” You whispered, pressing your forehead back to his. “Take what’s freely offered. Take what you’ve been denied.”
San’s eyebrows furrowed again, pain and pleasure etched across his strong features. “I can?”
You reached down to the neckline of your dress and ripped it effectively freeing your breasts. “You can have whatever you want, San.”
It was off to the races after that. With the freedom to indulge, to experience, to take what he had been denied for so long, San was lost in his urges. He licked and sucked all over your breasts, leaving marks and bites, even whimpering when he fought over the need to hold them in place or leave his hands on your hips so he could hold you in place. His thrusts were calculated sometimes, looking to hit that sweet spot inside of you, to hear your moans of his name. The rest was lost to his passion, fucking into your wet pussy in search of his climax.
“Oh, Goddess, yes,” You cried out, feeling your climax approach. “Fill me up, pup.”
San’s eyes took on a look of fear for a moment. “I can’t!” You realized you had said the wrong thing.
“You can, you can!” You held his head between your hands, making him focus on just you. “I’m just a useless human cunt, right? You can just fuck me like you were fucking your hand. It’s the same thing.”
San shook his head. “It’s not the same. You don’t look at me with derision or perverse pleasure. You don’t play with me, you encourage me, you…”
You began to panic. Where was the feared Hound, the legendary Fae from the Oidhche court, who executed others with his teeth dug into their jugular, just at the whim of his master? Who was this creature peeking out of the mask, looking for softness, looking for heart? Fuck, what was that pushing feeling at the base of San’s cock?
You looked down and took San’s gaze with you as well. He paled at the sight of the base of his cock pushing outwards, almost as if-- “Nonono,” San began to chant, “I cannot--!”
You had to throw all caution to the wind, despite the worry that you were about to be connected to a Fae for a few hours, by the looks of things. Not what you wanted when you were about to make said Fae break a very important oath, but there was no avoidance of it, it seemed.
“Follow your instincts,” You whispered before slanting your lips over his. Your teeth tugged playfully with his bottom lip. “Let us both see the stars behind our eyes, come on, San.”
San whined but thrusted up into your cunt. “So close,” he allowed, closing his eyes as if he couldn't witness his own treachery.
You moved your body up and down on his length, encouraging his head into your bosom once again. “Fuck me San, fuck me full of your cum, release inside of me, release your beast, let yourself go.”
With a loud howl, his back arched and his head thrown back, San ejaculated inside of you. He panted and sighed and then the knot at the base of his dick stopped, the copious amount of cum he had just dumped inside of you, firmly sealed inside of you. The knot pushed against your g-spot and sent you into a spiraling orgasm you didn’t see coming.
You gasped, squeezing San even tighter to your breasts. “That’s it, pup, fuck, that feels so good.”
With a precious look sent up towards you, filled with raw emotion, San closed his eyes and then bit onto the mound of your tit. You were so deep into your climax that you almost didn’t register the pain but the flood of emotions that weren’t your own into your skull sure let you know what you had let happen a second time…
“San!” You panicked. “You! You imprinted on me!” What did that mean? Wait…
“Mine,” San said drowsily. A wave of satisfaction was felt through the new bond as he lazily lapped at your breast and then he started to sink to the ground.
“San? San!” You protested, your dress barely protecting you against the bark rubbing against you as you sunk with him.
“Tired,” He mumbled. His tongue absent-mindedly licked at his bite.
You had a dick tight inside of you, a large Fae slumped against you, and your tit hurt from a bite. This was not really how you were looking to finish this plan but perhaps this worked even better in your favor.

“What have you done?!”
That rage and fear woke you up reasonably fast.
“What I had to do to get what I wanted,” You replied quickly.
“I have broken my vow!” San moaned, pacing a few steps from you.
You preened at your success. “And thus, you cannot go back. They will see your word broken. You will be worthless.”
San stopped his pacing. “...you planned this?”
“I've lived here for centuries and you think I'd just up and run away?” You sneered at him. “I may be human but I am not stupid.”
“And now I've even imprinted on you!” San looked horrified.
“That was your fault, I didn't do--”
Your words were choked off as San’s hands wrapped around your throat, long nails digging into the thin flesh of your neck. Your fingers clawed at him to let you go. San bared his teeth at you, peaks of fangs flashing between his lips that had previously been kissing you. A mental image of San’s raw glance before he bit you rushed through your mind and you whimpered.
San let you go just as fast as he started choking you. “You have ruined my life.”
You choked and coughed and gasped for air and choked again. “And I'd do it again. I'd do anything for my freedom.”
San started pacing again. “What is freedom when you have a home? You live in the Fae Realm, your life extended. All your days are warm and you do what you love. What is it that you're running away from?”
That's when it hit you. You weren't connected to Hyunjin anymore. You didn't have to feel anything of his mind or emotions again. You were finally free. You smiled in glee.
“It's not what I'm running away from, it's what I'm running towards,” You rasped.
San sent you a look that could have cut diamonds. “Do not wax poetic to me, human. I will only fall for it once.”
You raised your chin. “You will escort me to the nearest mushroom circle. I will leave this place.”
San shook his head, grinning and shaking his head. “You are truly not right in the head! What if you crumble into a pile of dust once you leave?”
“Then I will die disconnected from a man who broke my heart and that will make me happy,” You said firmly.
San carded his hand through his hair in frustration. “I can feel how determined you are!” He didn't say anything about the broken heart.
“And I'll have died after having some of the best sex I've ever had in my entire life.” San didn't need to know your only comparison was a village boy named Jake, Hyunjin and now he.
San frowned hard at you. “You still smell like it.”
“There's a lake back there--”
San stepped in your way. “No, you won't bathe there.”
You fetched your pack and changed into the set of clothes in there. “Make up your mind, San.”
You examined the bite on your breast mid-change, tutting at the mark that was now going to be there for the rest of your life. You patted your shoulder for the mark you had on your shoulder but without a mirror, you were unsure if it had healed or it would remain as well, even though it was nothing more than a scar rather than a tool to use against you.
“Do you have anything for the bite?” He asked.
“I have only food, water and clothing. I wanted to pack lightly for the journey,” You admitted.
San sighed. “I…I have a power. They don’t let me use it--I don’t want to use it! But… I’ve seen what happens to Fae when the one they’re imprinted with dies, so I will help you.”
You eyed him cautiously. “Pardon me if I don’t jump at the offer.”
“I’m not! Trying to trick you!” San insisted. His face was open and honest.
But still, your trust was not easily won. You shook your head. “No. You’ve done enough damage.”
“Fine!” San huffed and immediately turned back into his hound form.
You swallowed hard, memories of that same hound hot on your heels, chasing you through the woods--you couldn't help it when a whimper escaped your throat.
San’s head cocked in curiosity and he padded over to you closely. You held still as he sniffed your head. You couldn't help but ease a bit when he licked your cheek. And then he licked your wound that you left uncovered in hopes it would heal in the open air. But when the bite started to tingle, you yelped backwards from him.
“What did you do?!” You demanded.
San whined and dug a foot into the soft ground. It seemed somewhat of an apology.
But when you looked down next, you watched as the bite healed. Oh, the scar was there, but it was as if it was days, even weeks healed. Did San’s tongue have healing abilities? Perhaps it was a result of his mixed heritage.
You shook your finger at him. “Just because you're in dog form, that doesn’t mean I won’t hit you!”
San’s head lowered and then he began to sniff the ground. He slowly followed its meander trail until he was almost in between your legs. You slapped his snout and he yelped. “I get it, I smell like sex, that does not excuse your nose from going to where it shouldn’t.”
San sneezed and you rolled your eyes. “Can you lead us to the nearest faerie ring or not?”
You followed San in hound form in a quick jog, the pace that the hound of the hunt set grueling for someone who spent the majority of their time sitting and writing. San would only wait for a few minutes as you gasped for breath and then he would bark sharply at you and you two would start running again.
“San! San, I can’t.” Eventually you called it quits, collapsing at a copse.
San transformed into his human form and sent you a disappointed look. “We would be twice as far if you weren’t a human.”
“Sorry I can’t change into a dog,” You spat.
“No but you sure are a bitch,” San spat back.
“Takes one to know one,” You retorted.
The two of you snapped and snarled at each other for the entire journey it took to get to the nearest faerie ring. This one was located deep in one of the dark forests, surrounding a tree that had a gap in the front of it; almost as if it was a door to the Mortal Realms.
“I can’t believe it.” It was almost too good to be true, that your plan had truly worked out and you were finally escaping the Fae--and leaving your past mistakes behind you. You knew the chances were slim that your sister was still alive, but if you had the chance to apologize to her, to tell her she had been right…
San stood a ways off, looking very closed off. “It’s not that different,” you conceded to him.
“I’ve never been there,” San admitted, face still very shut down.
“If a fragile human can live in your world,” You sent a knowing look his way.
You watched as San visibly straightened and shook his head. “You’re right.”
“Imagine that,” You muttered under your breath.
The two of you stood shoulder to shoulder, and for a moment, you were both equals. You were unsure, San was unsure, and neither of you wanted to be the first. So when you brushed San’s hand against his, and after a moment of hesitation he took it, you both stepped through the faerie ring and back into the Mortal Realms
📗📗📗🐕🐕🐕
It was a rough month when you crossed over. You were very lucky that only a day had passed in the Mortal Realms instead of centuries. You found your sister and she was in tears that you had left but you had a lot of explaining to do--especially when you came back with a different man that you had left with.
Eventually, with help from your sister, you and San were able to settle into a cottage that was in the next village over from where your sister still lived. For better or for worse, you and San had imprinted and that basically meant you two were married, so the illusion had to be maintained. You wrote and found a publisher in the closest big city, earning some coin in that regard, but San became a hunter for the surrounding villagers and that was truly how you were able to survive.
Regardless of how much San informed you on the daily that you had ruined his life and it was your fault he had to work for his keep, you saw a change in the Fae. The village was more than happy to receive the kills he took from the forest, unaware he actually took down the prey in his other form. San was very easily received in the village and that seemed to be the turning point for him. Other hunters and men of the village joked with him and you saw him lose the sharp edges he had acquired growing up in the Fae Realm.
One morning, when San had risen from your shared bed with the sun, to hunt, you lurched from the bed yourself and barely found your basin before you threw up into it.
San wrinkled his nose at you, one leg lifting to be put into his boot. “If you’re sick--” He paused, sniffing the air and then his eyes widened. You felt fear and hope surge through your bond with him.
You waved him off. “I’m sure it’s nothing you can catch.”
San blushed and that threw you off. He quickly put both his boots on and found a cloth for you to wipe your face with. You stared at him with intense scrutiny. Although the two of you lived like husband and wife, San didn’t go out of his way to be kind to you. You were the reason he was reduced to a mortal’s boring life, after all.
“Ash…” San offered his hand to you, and you took it, but you were confused.
“What’s going on?” You demanded.
San looked a bit bashful, running his thumb over the back of your hand. “You are going to have to endure a change in me. It is a part of a Fae male to become extremely territorial when their partner is pregnant--”
“Excuse you!?” You screeched.
San flinched at your volume. “You’re pregnant, Ash.”
You blinked at him several times, still unable to comprehend. “But we haven’t…”
San’s eyes shot upwards to the ceiling. “It only takes one time.”
You felt your knees weaken and San quickly escorted you to your bed to sit. “It can’t be.”
“I can smell the change in your smell. You have morning sickness. Have you bled since we’ve been back?” San inquired gently.
You shook your head. “I just thought my body was adjusting from one realm to the other, I didn’t--”
A child only bound the two of you tighter. Your heart sank. San was only going to hate you more for this. “I promise, I didn’t plan this!” You protested.
“Human,” San started and you felt anger surge through you.
“Don’t you dare make our baby hate me, you will not refer to me as such in their presence!”
San, the bugger, had the audacity to smile shyly. “I would never think of it.”
You frowned. “Why are you being so weird? Why aren’t you yelling at me?”
San shrugged. “I told you. Things are going to change.”
And change they did. Your sister was ecstatic. Not completely won over by San personally, she still admitted he was a good provider and in the very least, she was excited for a new niece or nephew. You worried about her approval but it seemed like she had no care for the fact that it was part Fae.
The biggest change was San. His shrewd eyes were always on you. You never seemed to have enough pillows or blankets to cover you or keep you comfortable. He was constantly asking if you needed more food. He worried about the baby non stop. But the minute he pushed his head against your stomach, to use his hound hearing to listen to the baby’s heart, a soft smile would pull at his lips and your own heart would feel as if it was about to burst.
Your mood swings affected you the most, after your morning sickness, and San took those in strides. There were times when you threw anything within arms length at him and then there were others where you sobbed into his arms, and he rocked you in sympathy. You didn’t know how you felt, carrying a child into this world that had been born from trickery. You felt slimy, truth be told, and you didn’t want the baby to carry that into this world.
Until one night, when you were reading in bed, San crawled into your shared bed and scooted over until you had to sit up to let his arm curl around you. “Ash,” He called out your fake name to grab your attention.
You hummed in acknowledgement and closed your book. “What is it, San?”
“I think I should tell you this, before our baby is born,” San said solemnly, hand slipping over your protruding belly.
This was it. San was going to inform you that once the baby was born, things would go back to how they were before. He would despise every breath you breathed and it would grate your nerves to live with a man who hated you. You braced yourself; you had been somewhat preparing for this.
“Although it was not your intention, you bringing me into the Mortal Realm has let me realize that I was not living a life before this. In the Fae Realms, I was considered not of them. They begrudgingly even acknowledged I existed. But here… with your sister and the village… they are happy I'm here. They enjoy my presence. I have never known such a feeling of belonging.” San paused swallowing and you felt nervousness through your bond. “And you. You have had to endure living with me, who cut you any time my mouth opened. You are with child from a man… no, a mongrel, a monster, who despised you. Yet, don't think I haven't seen you retrieving the few paintings Hyunjin had gifted you of the place he had grown up in. You hung up paintings done by the Fae you despised, just so that I could have pieces of my home here. I know how much it means to have a reminder of him.”
You pressed your lips together. San had never mentioned the paintings. You didn't think he even noticed them. “Well--!”
“Let me finish,” San said, cutting you off firmly but gently. “I have every reason to thank you but my stubborn self could not. But you need to know that you are my mate, and I do not regret imprinting on you, because in that moment, you had truly made me feel like I was important and I will love a child that was born from that union.”
Your throat tightened and tears threatened to escape. “That's lovely, San.”
San lifted his hand from your belly and used it to tilt your head to meet his gaze. “I will love the child… just as I love you.”
You could feel it. There was no lying with the bond that existed between you two. San truly loved you. It wasn't the grand romance you had once felt for Hyunjin but that wasn't a bad thing. Your love for Hyunjin burned brightly but went out just as quickly. The love San had for you was fragile but it was hopeful. And if you nurtured it…
“San, I--” Your heart was beating wildly but you found that it was not as bruised as it once was from Hyunjin’s false words. You leaned to San’s cheek and whispered into his ear your true, real name.
San reeled back, surprise and shock all over his face. “You honor me, wife of mine.” By bestowing your name upon him, you acknowledged that you trusted him with something he could use to have complete control over you. It was better than saying I love you.
You smacked his chest at the ‘wife’ comment, however, and San let out a high pitch giggle that you weren't aware he was even capable of. You stared at San like he was a completely different person.
San’s eyes grew hooded and he drew you in close. You protested, sensing the taste of lust from the bond, but he didn’t let you go against your half-hearted struggle.
“The midwife suggested that mounting my wife would aid her in feeling like she wasn't a lump on the log and would ease her moods,” San purred.
“So you're saying you're doing this just because the midwife suggested it?” You raised your eyebrow at him.
“No, I wish to make my wife happy,” San said, leaning in, his lips whisper-close.
“I am happy, San,” You said softly.
San grinned. “Then let's make you elated.”

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Lou went straight back to her room after an incredibly filling meal. She did struggle to find her room at first, not quite remembering which one she exited from earlier in the morning, and none of the visions she had been having gave any hints away. But when she got weird looks from the other members about why she was looking in every room, she smartly used an excuse that would actually pass at the truth.
"What you doing Sunny?" Lee Know rose an eyebrow in curiosity at the girl who was looking through different rooms in the dorms.
"Hmmm? Oh... I'm trying to find Garfield, can't find it at the studio so it must be around here somewhere..." Lou miraculously thought up the excuse, twiddling her fingers as she made it look like that's definitely what she was looking for rather than her own room.
"You lost Garfield? Hmmm, don't worry, I'm sure we'll find him," Lee Know patted her head before heading off to his own room, which just so happened to be next door to Bea's.
Which brought her back to now, where she was staring at the ceiling wondering what to do with herself. The empty space in her mind seemed to be filled by another vision.
"Huh? What could this be?" a younger Hwang Hyunjin looked around the walls in his room, Lou hiding trying to muffle her giggles.
Hyunjin looked around at the bizarre and amateur drawings of weird, disproportionate animals drawn on post-it notes, stuck as some sort of mural by his bed.
Lou accidentally let out a laugh at his utterly confused expression.
"Yah, Sun, I can hear you..."
She emerged from her spot, no longer tucked away round the side of the wardrobe.
"Don't you like the drawings I did for you?" she giggled at his 'done' expression.
"I don't know what I'm looking at right now," Hyunjin dramatically deadpanned, before letting out a cackle, only triggering Lou further.
"Look this one is a ferret! It looks like you!" Lou laughed, pointing at his face and then the silly drawing, before running away from him as he chased her.
Some may say that Lou created Jiniret.
The girl blinked as she tuned back into her surroundings. She was happy it wasn't as much of a sad memory, and decided maybe it wouldn't be so bad to tease Hyunjin again. Wearing a mischievous smile on face, she rummaged around the chest of drawers in her room and was happy to find a stash of post-it notes and pens to use for her 'artwork'. Because of course, it would obviously be so much better than Hyunjin's gorgeous paintings. Well, she didn't know if he started painting yet, perhaps he sketched, she did remember seeing a pad of paper in the small vision she just had.
Tiptoeing into the room she remembers seeing herself run past, she quietly pushes down the handle and walks in, relieved that there was no one there yet. Sticking a pink post-it note on the wall, she popped of the lid of the pen and starting working her magic. Soon there was a couple drawings decorating the walls, ranging from Jiniret to Hyunjin pulling dramatic faces, and an artistic impression of him morphed with a llama.
She hoped he would appreciate the effort she put in.
Exiting out his room like nothing happened, she was caugh red handed by the guy himself.
"Lou... why were you in my room?" Hyunjin jumped at seeing her, not expecting her there as he put a hand over his heart, eyes wide.
"Oh... Can't find Garfield," Lou casually nodded and swiftly left the situation, joining the others sat in the living room. She plonked herself down on the sofa, next to Jeongin, giggling to herself.
"Oh no... she is laughing already," Jeongin announced to the room.
"What has our Flo done now?" Changbin questioned with a grin, causing Jisung to stand excitedly.
"Our Flo man! Our f-low! Flow so sick man!" Jisung hyped himself up with Changbin, bouncing in his spot and giving a proper handshake to his hyung.
"This always happens..." Seungmin sighs, pretending to look exhausted from the energy of his members. Or was he pretending...
"You'll find out in 3, 2, 1..." Lou smirked, rubbing her hands together.
"Lou. Ie. Sa!!!" Hyunjin yelled from his room, seeing the monstrosities of doodles that Lou had produced. He marched out of his room and immediately dove onto the girl, tickling her sides.
"Hahaha I got you again!" Lou giggled loudly, kicking her legs as Hyunjin playfully attacked her.
"Lee Know. Hannie. Get your child under control," Hyunjin ran his hands through his hair, pointing at Lou as he stared at the two guys.
"Our Lou has learnt well," Lee Know simply came over and hugged her from behind, patting her head and laughing to himself thinking of the mischief she had caused. This only caused Jisung to laugh harder.
"Jinnie... she decorated your room again?" Felix grinned imagining the sight.
"She vandalised it!" Hyunjin kept up his streak of over-exaggeration, making his members burst out into laughter once more.
Lou giggled once more and hugged Hyunjin from behind, causing him to turn and around and pick her up, depositing her next to Bang Chan.
"He is your only hope now," Hyunjin whimsically said, saluting at Bang Chan before retreating to his room, probably to plot some revenge on the girl.
"What shall we do with you, hmmm?" Bang Chan poked her sides, causing Lou to laugh once again as she accepted the cooing of the leader.
"Send me to art school."
More laughter resounded from the room.
"I can't believe he never noticed you going into his room again..." Changbin shook his head thinking of his dongsaeng.
"You're so sneaky, like a little spy," Seungmin nodded at his own observation.
"Yah! Did the 'little' really have to be there?!" Lou protested, sitting up in her seat and looking at the older with a challenging expression.
"Of course," Seungmin said like it was obvious.
"You're next, Kim Seungmin," Lou confirmed her next plans.
"Oh fighting talk!"
"She's gonna beat him up!"
"Seungmin's going to find out before she does anything."
"Yeah Seungmin is the real spy!"
The members conspired about what was going to happen next.
"Right, we should get some sleep now, got a couple of busy days of practice ahead of us before Miroh is released!" Bang Chan ushered his members to bed.
Lou couldn't help but feel nervous. In her home, universe, let's say, she knew the choreography of Miroh, she loved practising the dances from Stray Kids. But she knew she wasn't the best, and she didn't want to be the reason that the group wouldn't win their first award for the song. She couldn't change things that happened in the original timeline, could she? She thought to future events, like the ISACs and Kingdom, thinking if the group would be able to participate how they originally did due to her being a female. Or would there be special allowances...
Lou wasn't too sure on that for now. But she would have to cross that bridge when she came to it. Now, her first obstacle would be attending their very first live performance. Oh how she wished she had a memory full of everything that had happened to herself in this universe. Getting small glimpses wasn't feeling enough.
And this had just been the first day. She was in for a wild ride.

You were seven when you met Hyunjin.
It was a warm, sunny day— the birds were chirping and the smell of flowers and freshly cut grass filled your lungs as you happily skipped towards the moving truck, picking up a big cardboard box containing the stuff that used to fill the shelves of your now old bedroom. You secured it in your arms and took a few wobbly steps towards your new home, a few drops of sweat already starting to run down your forehead— and that was what it took for you to realize, a moment too late, that the box was just too heavy for you.
Thud.
The cardboard box slipped away from your grasp and fell right on your almost bare feet, which made you wail out a pained, “MOM!” You dropped on the concrete, vision completely blurred out by tears as you sobbed and tried sliding your throbbing toes from beneath what felt to be as heavy as a thousand pounds of bricks. You sniffled and kept sobbing out, “M—mom! D—dad!” as hard as you could, but your voice was getting weaker by the second.
Thankfully, though your parents still hadn't noticed your distress, a little boy who was riding his bycicle in the front yard right next to yours did. All your crying and sobbing prevented you from hearing his loud gasp and subsequent running towards your hunched figure. You opened your eyes as a blurb of colors crouched down in front of you, “Please, s—stop crying, I’ll help you— ” the boy said, panic filling his sweet voice as you kept weeping loudly, “Wait— here, I’ll try lifting this up, okay?” he gulped, and you nodded profusely. You just wanted to stop that terrible pain that now was starting to shoot up your ankles.
“Yes, ple—please, it hurts s—so much!” you hiccuped, wiping your tears away hastily and clasping your hands around your ankles for extra pull, since you weren't 100% sure you’d be able to slide them out otherwise.
“I’ll be counting to three, okay?” he said as he placed his bent fingers under the gap crushing your darkening feet. He turned to look at your face, your quivering bottom lip, tear-stained cheeks and trembling arms broke his small heart, but gave him extra motivation to help you out, “So! One… Two…”
“Three!” he exclaimed, using all his strength to pull up the heavy cardboard box just enough to let you free.
You let out a sigh of relief as you felt the heavy weight come off, pulling your ankles closer to yourself and immediately starting to stroke your throbbing, darkening toes, though tears built up in your eyes once again as you realized you couldn't feel them, “They are broken! Brok—en! Th—that’s not f—fair!” you sobbed, burying your face between your knees.
The boy pouted and hugged your trembling body gently, rubbing his hands up and down your back in an attempt to soothe you. You sniffled and hugged him back, now loudly crying on his shoulder, “You live in this house, right? Let me help you get u—” he started saying, but got interrupted by your mom’s panicked voice.
“Sweetie! Oh my God, I’m so sorry! We were upstairs moving some furniture around and didn't hear you!” your mom said, running over to your small figures and crouching down to check on your feet, which looked completely wrecked. She shot a grateful gaze at the boy that was still comforting you, “Thank you so much for taking care of them.” she said with a small smile. He nodded.
In the meantime, you’d just realized your clothes were completely soaked in your own sweat and a horrible pain was shooting in your head due to the prolonged time the hot summer sun had been mercilessly hitting you on the head, it felt like you were burning up. “Too hot…” you managed to grunt, and the boy cradling you, wordlessly, took off his colorful baseball cap and secured it on your own head instead, giving you an encouraging smile when you wiped off your tears and looked up at him with a pout.
He ended the hug suddenly, causing your bottom lip to quiver again, so he gasped and hugged you again, “Hey, hey, no need to cry! You’ll be just fine now, your mom's here, she’s going to take you inside and take care of you.” you sniffled and nodded, “I’m Hyunjin, by the way!” he said with a big grin, and you mirrored it without even thinking about it.
And ever since he basically had to carry you inside of your new house, given that you just wouldn't let him go, a day hasn't gone by without either of you hearing from or seeing the other. You always had to know and let the other know what you were up to, who you were with and find even the smallest gap between your very different schedules to hang out, be it during the day or at the dead of night.
Everything you and Hyunjin ever seemed to talk about to your other friends was, in some way, related to the other, summer and winter vacations were always spent together, you were each other’s declared-undeclared cuddle buddies and even picked up similar interests up to spend more time together, allegedly, though none of you would ever admit it.
You were Platonic Soulmates, as you both liked to put it.
But as you sat on the floor of your shared apartment and looked through the seemingly endless pictures you took with Hyunjin from day 1 ‘till today, wondering which ones you should print to fill the slots of the new photo album you’d just bought as a gift for his upcoming birthday, you realised that maybe, just maybe, you never got over your small —big— crush on him.
And it was so painfully obvious.
You’ve been scrolling through the pictures on your phone and looking through the already printed ones in your box of old memories all afternoon, and you noticed the lingering gazes you always seemed to throw at him in all of them— be it in candid photos taken by your friends or random selfies with him.
But how could you deny the way you blushed when he complimented one of your flower paintings for the first time as children, or the way your heart fluttered when he started showing interest in your hobby, sweetly saying it was because of you and how cute you looked when you were concentrating?
And after you moved in together to be closer to your university and split the rent, your feelings grew even more. Seeing your crush dry his hair with a towel as he walked around your apartment half-naked, how he cared for you when you felt sick, him using the hair treatment you’d gifted him months ago with a big smile— it all made you think he may reciprocate your feelings.
But, “Hmpf— Who am I kidding?” you huffed as you stared at your lockscreen picture, which showed off your latest picture with Hyunjin; both on your mutual friend’s couch with your legs swung over his lap, one of his hands gripping your thigh as you laughed about something, not even realising one of your friends was taking a picture of you until he sent it to you the next day. As always, you had an enamoured look on your face, “Why do I like him so much anyways?” you mumbled, pouting at Kkami, who was lazily walking towards you to cuddle after a long nap on her fluffy dog bed.
She nudged your arm with her nose, as if she wanted to comfort you, before climbing on your crossed legs and yawning, “Oh. You—You like someone?” you heard a stutter behind you, and you turned around, facing Hyunjin.
He looked so good in his usual blue jeans and baggy t-shirt, covered by a big cardigan you’d made yourself for him when you tried out a knitting class together. Your heart fluttered— it was the first time you’d seen him wear it, “Is that the one I made you? Is it comfortable enough?” you asked softly as you looked up at him, trying to avoid answering his question.
Hyunjin sighed and placed down the multitude of bags he’d been carrying around for hours, then stretched, “Yes, it is. And it’s extremely comfortable.” he said, taking quick strides across the room with his long legs, and crouching next to you, placing a hand on your head, “Oh, you bought a photo albu—” he started saying as you widened your eyes. Shit.
Before you could even think, you yelled— “Don’t look!” and tackled him down, pinning him to the ground by the wrists. Shock showed up on his gentle features, before he pouted his plump lips. It took everything in you to stop yourself from leaning down to connect them with your own, not knowing that was all the boy under you dreamed about as well, “Don’t make that face!” you whined when he gave you his puppy eyes. That bastard, he knew they were your weakness.
“But I’m curious…” he protested, turning his head to try to take a peek at what you were trying to hide, “I swear, Y/N! I’m going to scream if you don’t let me go.” Hyunjin whined.
“Come on, Hwang. Stop being drama—” you stopped talking when his gaze suddenly turned serious and he frowned.
“I won't look if you answer my question.” he whispered, looking you in the eyes. Fuck. You thought he forgot.
“Wha—” you started, breaking eye contact.
He rolled his eyes and clenched his jaw, freeing one of his hands from your grip before squishing your cheeks gently to turn your face towards him, “Don’t play dumb with me, please. You’ve been avoiding it for far too long now.” he whispered, his minty breath hitting your face delicately.
You felt your face burning up and you closed your eyes— you didn't think you could handle his gaze without spilling out your feelings immediately, “I-I’m not playing dumb, I-I just don’t like anyone, tha-that’s why I never answer.”
“Bullshit. I literally heard you say, and I quote ‘Why do I like him so much anyway?’” you gulped and bit your lip, now looking him in the eyes, “What, am I not important enough to know who my best friend is in love with or what? Who is it, hm? Jeongin? Minho? Cha—” he rambled without end, but now you had enough. Enough.
“Fuck, Hyunjin, it’s YOU! It’s you I have a crush on! Is it not fucking obvious?!” you blurted out, and he widened his eyes, dropping the hold on your cheeks. Your eyes watered as you balled your fists on his torso, looking down at your hands, ashamed, “I’ve been in love with you ever since we were seven, and coming home and having dinner together, cuddling in front of the tv or noticing how you always toast a slice of bread for me before you head out to your lectures, seeing how painfully obvious it is that I like you from the way I look at you in basically any picture we ever took together fucking pains me, because I know you don't and will never see me that way.” you cried in the tense silence of your darkening living room, sliding off of his body to sit up next to him. He still wouldn't mutter out a word.
I lost him. I lost my best friend. Why couldn't I keep my shitty mouth shut? I ruined everyth— “Who.” you shot your head up.
“What?” your voice cracked, and you tilted your head in confusion when you saw his wide grin.
Your breath caught in your throat when he tackled you down on the floor, just like you did moments before with him. Your teary eyes latched onto his, looking for anything, anything that could mean that that was the last time you’d ever interact, bracing yourself to be told that he wanted you out of your apartment— though all you could find was fondness. One of his hands slowly found your darkening cheek, caressing it delicately, making you feel as if you were in heaven. “Who.” he leaned down, pecking your forehead softly, and you closed your eyes, “Told.” a peck on the nose, “You.” on your other cheek, “That.” and on the lips.
Your eyes opened wide, “Hyun—” you mumbled as his pillow-like lips repeatedly tasted your own sweetly, lingering on them more and more by the second.
Your breath quickened, your trembling fingers soon finding themselves between his soft locs as he swept his hot tongue on your bottom lip slowly, tasting your sweet aroma for the first time— his dark eyes never leaving yours, conveying much more than words ever could; but still, a continuous back and forth of breathy “I love you” and “I love you so much more” were the only words either of you seemed to remember the existence of for the rest of the evening.

-🩵
Of courseeee😚
YU JIMIN (KARINA) x FEM!READER
Prompt: Your boss went on a 2 month long business trip and he trusts you with taking care of his wife while he’s gone
Warnings/Notes: G!P reader, cheating, mommy kink, oral, age gap (reader is younger), masturbation
———
Growing up, you always had an interest in gardening thanks to your grandma and it grew stronger the moment you read more books and watched plenty of documentaries. Not only did you decide to take Horticulture as a degree in university but you were lucky enough to get a part time job as a gardener for a rich business couple.
Hwang Hyunjin was a kind and hard working man, always greeting you warmly to his mansion, buying you the necessary gardening equipment needed, and even holding nice conversations when he wasn’t too busy.
His wife, Karina, was just as kind. She’d pack Mr Hwang a good lunch for work while also making him a nice breakfast every morning to give the energy needed for the day.
You were currently removing weeds from Mr Hwang’s garden, trying not to let the hot sun slow you down from the many other tasks needed to be done. You turned your head and saw your boss walking out the mansion with a few other men tailing behind while holding luggage bags.
“Off to another business trip Mr Hwang?” You asked with a smile, Hyunjin happily smiling back.
“That’s right, Y/n. Unfortunately for two months this time. I trust you’ll take care of this garden while I’m away”
“I won’t let you down, sir” You saluted.
“You’re more than welcome to stay over and use our guest room. I can hire someone to drop you to your lectures if you’d like”
“That’s so sweet of you, Mr Hwang. I’d appreciate that a lot”
Hyunjin nodded before putting his sunglasses on. “Take care of my wife too please”
“I’ll do my best” You bowed and watched him leave in his limo before continuing your work on the garden.
Karina sighed with relief when she saw her husband leave, finally getting the alone time she needed. Her eyes suddenly landed on your well built body dressed in a black shirt and jeans.
She remembered how strong the butterflies were when you first stepped into the mansion, Hyunjin introducing you as the new gardener since both were too busy to take care of their flowers and plants. Your bright smile, outgoing personality, and passion for plants had just made you so attractive to the older woman.
At first she felt guilty.
Guilty for feeling such attraction to someone younger when she was already happily married. Yeah, happily married until she found out her husband was going on these business trips as an excuse to sleep with one of his co workers. She saw it all when she saw message notifications from the mistress, and the secret lunch dates they had which Giselle took photos of and sent it to Karina.
An idea popped into her head. If Hyunjin was out here carelessly slipping his dick into other bitches, who was he to stop Karina from playing the same type of game? She smirked to herself before walking out the mansion to where you were still working.
She was wearing a short silk robe, her hair nicely curled and just light makeup on her face. “Good morning Y/n”
You stood up from your squatting position and bowed at the older woman. “Good morning Mrs Hwang! Lovely weather today, isn’t it?”
Karina wanted to gag from the name but your smile was making her mood better. “It definitely is. Listen, I want to thank you so much for taking care of our garden, we really appreciate it”
“It’s no worries at all, Mrs Hwang. Just doing what I love”
“How about spending the rest of the day getting to know each other? I believe you deserve a good break”
“Oh that sounds lovely but there’s so much tasks to do” You politely declined but Karina wasn’t going to back down.
“It’s okay, trust me. As your boss’ wife, I want you to take the day off from gardening. It’s my way of thanking you”
Of course, you couldn’t disobey orders from your boss’ wife. “If you insist, Mrs Hwang”
“Please, call me Karina, darling” She winked, letting you follow her inside the mansion.
“I don’t think you wanna be spending the day in those dirty clothes, dear. Go upstairs and take a shower, you can borrow Hyunjin’s clothes. I’m sure he won’t mind”
Nodding, Karina led you to the huge bathroom and you took a nice hot shower before grabbing a few clothes from your boss’ closet. You returned downstairs after blow drying your hair and Karina felt herself grow wetter at the sight of you in a white shirt and grey sweatpants. She could even see the print of your dick, making her wonder just how big you were without all the clothing.
“Comfy?”
“Yes I am, thank you Mrs Hwa- I mean Karina!” Your face went red at the small mistake that got Karina chuckling.
She stood up and grabbed you by the collar before pushing you down on the couch, straddling your lap. “I’m gonna cut to the chase, Y/n. I know my husband is cheating on me with some other whore and I know my time is worth better than to cry about it”
“Mr Hwang is-wait what?”
“You’re cute, Y/n. Hot even. Everything about you just makes me want you so bad” Karina whispered in your ear.
“Y-You want me?” The tips of your ears went red.
“Please tell me you want me too, baby. Make me feel all better. Can you do that?” She started to move her hips against your crotch, smiling at the feeling of your hard cock.
Everything felt so wrong but Karina’s clothed pussy drenching your stiffening dick felt so good. Your hands were resting on her hips and you wanted nothing else other than destroying her on the couch. There was no denying that you do think about her when you’re in your bedroom, jerking off the entire night until your hand got sore.
“I-I wanna push you away b-but…at the same time I don’t” You said breathlessly.
Karina started to whimper. “Don’t. Please, I know you’ll fill me up better than my stupid cheating husband”
Right. Hyunjin was cheating on this fine ass woman that was currently begging for your cock. It was a fair game after all.
That thought was enough to make you give in. You pushed your lips against the older’s, having a rough tongue battle while bucking your hips. Karina pulled her lips away just to throw her head back, the movement caused her silk robe to slip off her shoulders and her huge breast were in display.
“Come on cutie, I know you want to suck them. You deserve it” She smiled down at you.
You licked your lips before diving right in to her chest, savouring the left breast like it was your last meal and then doing the same to the other. Karina was squealing at your warm tongue, imagining how great it would feel in her cunt instead.
Just before she could give you a praise, you stood up and quickly went to the guest room where you practically threw Karina on the bed. “Didn’t think you had that confidence in you” She chuckled before you went back to devouring her breast.
“Need you to use that tongue on my pussy, baby. I’m getting impatient now” Karina pouted.
You sat up to remove all your clothes as Karina easily removed her robe, both of you left bare in a matter of seconds. The older woman couldn’t help but stare at your cock, mesmerised at the sight of you slowly stroking it. “Holy fuck you’re huge. Must’ve pleased so many women with that” Karina purred while two of her fingers rubbed at her clit.
“And I’m about to please another” You responded with a cocky smile.
Karina spread her legs wide to present more of her glistening sex, still circling her puffy nub and motioning for you to come closer. “Eat my pussy good, baby. Don’t wanna disappoint mommy, do ya?”
The name made your breath hitch but you nodded. “N-No mommy, want to make you feel good”. You crawled over and held her thighs before giving long licks from her entrance to her clit.
Karina threw her head back with a breathless low moan, a hand automatically grabbing onto your long hair. You wasted no time in pushing your long wet muscle inside, already sending the older into pure bliss.
“O-Oh my god, oh my god yes Y/n!”
Humming in satisfaction, you moved your tongue faster, having to force Karina’s legs wider so you could push yourself into deeper.
“Please please don’t stop, baby! You’re making mommy feel so…fucking good!” Karina cried as her hips bucked into your drenched face, wanting impossibly more.
“Yeah just like that~ Gonna cum quickly, baby. You want that? Want mommy to cum all over that fucking good tongue of yours hm?”
Obviously not being able to verbally respond, you shook your head and hummed, keeping your rough pace as Karina’s legs started to shake. With one hand tangled in your hair, the other moved to harshly rub at her neglected clit, multiplying the pleasure by 100.
“Oh god, fuck I’m cumming! Gonna cum on that pretty face!” Karina said with a final scream, her eyes rolling back with pure ecstasy as she released her juices.
You were startled at the sudden blow to the face but you were quick to clean it all up until she was clean. You slowly moved up to face Karina and she couldn’t help but tiredly smile at your drenched mouth, pulling you in to connect your lips once more.
“You made mommy so proud, darling. So so proud” she kept pecking your lips. She felt some movement below her and when she looked down, her leaking cunt started to clench around nothing.
You were shamelessly jerking off while your lips travelled around her neck, leaving bites and hickies that you knew were going to last for weeks. You were groaning and grunting into her ear, Karina’s eyes rolling back as her hands pinched at your nipples, giving them a good squeeze.
“M-Mommy, my cock hurts. Need it inside your pussy please” You panted like a dog in rut, humping into your hand but it wasn’t enough.
“Go on then, baby. Fill me up good” She whispered.
Thanking the heavens, you aligned your tip at her hole and slowly pushed in, giving a gasp at how tight she was. “H-How are you so tight?”
Karina clawed at your forearms, clearly not used to taking something so big up her pussy before. “Y-You’re just too big”
You managed to push yourself all the way in without breaking her and you noticed the discomfort in the older’s face so you placed soft kisses around it. One hand holding underneath her thigh and you used the other to brush her hair out of her face, kissing her tears away. “I’m sorry, does it hurt?”
Karina weakly nodded.
“Sorry mommy. It’ll stop hurting soon, okay?”
Karina’s goal of not falling for you was starting to become more difficult. Sure Hyunjin was sweet in bed, but he couldn’t compare to just how gentle you were right now. She felt so safe and she was willing to throw all her trust in you.
“I’m gonna start moving now. Tell me to stop if it’s too much” You smiled before slowly pulling out and then pushing back in again.
The older woman felt like she was a virgin all over again with the way this was playing out. You were ripping her in half but it felt so good after a few more thrusts. Her nails drew red lines across your back and her legs wrapped around your hips.
“Oh Y/n…”
“Mmm, mommy”
“Please, faster”
Your hips automatically started to jerk faster and you felt your arms starting to ache so you laid your upper body down so your tits were touching Karina’s. Your arms moved from her thighs to her lower back, practically hugging her while you thrusted at a harsh speed, the sound of your skins slapping were echoing off the walls.
“F-Fuck! Yes please just like that, baby!”
You were growling into her ear, mumbling fast sentences on how her cunt felt so good around your cock, wanting her to take it like a slut, saying how she likes your cock better than her cheating husbands.
“Mommy…mommy’s cunt is so good. Gonna shape it to my cock so it’s the only thing you can take. Would you like that mommy?” You panted with a cocky smile.
Karina nodded with tears streaming down her face. “Uh huh. Only want your cock”
“S-So close mommy! C-Can I cum inside you?”
“Yes yes cum inside! Don’t waste a single drop” She cried, playing with her own tits to fasten the pleasure.
“Gonna fucking fill you up so good, mommy” You whined, releasing an aggressive groan into her neck before exploding your gunk of cum inside.
Karina came at the same time, milking the hell out of your still spurting cock. Being so full, her own juices managed to escape and make a dripping line down to your balls.
You relaxed on top of her, enjoying the feeling of her fingers thread through your hair out of comfort despite being completely fucked out. “God, that was amazing” She exhaled with a laugh.
“Sorry, I should’ve used a condom”
“Don’t be sorry. I take the pill anyways”
“I didn’t hurt you did I?” You sat up and pulled out, a little bit of your mixed cum falling out her entrance but she was quick to swipe it up with her finger and suck it.
“At the start it did. Felt like a virgin again”
“I’m glad I made you feel good, Karina. That was probably the best sex I’ve ever had” You smiled before carrying her bridal style. “Let me take care of you”
Karina could only nod while feeling lost in your beautiful eyes. She was sure she had fallen way too hard for you.
But this time, she wasn’t gonna push that feeling away.

Top Dozen 2023 drama MLs so far
It's August, so not the end of the year, neither it is at halfway year mark, but why would I ever do anything like a normal person? Here my very very subjective list. I have limited myself to one dude per drama or LYF would be half the list. No order except alphabetical.
Chen Wende (Sun Yizhou in Gone With the Rain, China)
Tumblr media
The epic troll lord stole the whole drama as competently as he stole the FL's heart. He was competent and adult and oh-so-amused by but also gone for the heroine.
Gu Jiusi (Bai Jing Ting in Chang Feng Du/Destined, China)
Tumblr media
CFD lost steam for me halfway through but Jiusi's character remained a delight throughout and BJT gave a great performance as a golden boy who went through a bunch of hell and grew up but remained goodnatured at heart.
Han Dong Jin (Kim Young Kwang in Call It Love, Korea)
Tumblr media
You know, he and Jing (from LYF1) really fit the same mold even if one is in a mellow realistic modern and another in xianxia - lovely traumatized people from monster families who win over heroine with a metric ton of baggage through sheer unswerving decency. I have a type.
Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook in Alchemy of Souls s2, Korea)
Tumblr media
I loved Uk in S1 and S2 continued that love - he's so intense, so grieving, so still in love with Naksu. LJW is always a good actor so it's such a pleasure to see him in a good role.
Kim Do Ha (Hwang Min Hyun, My Lovely Liar, Korea)
Tumblr media
The year of surprises - Minhyun, who I found utterly wooden in AoS stole my heart here as this hopeful, traumatized sweetheart of a man.
Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin, The Killing Vote, Korea)
Tumblr media
Yeah, we are only one ep in but who said anything about this list was objective? PHJ brings his usual unsettling intensity to the role of a cop who breaks all the rules and teeters on the edge and now is set to catch a killer who really only differs from him in a matter of degree.
Lee Jang Hyun (Nam Goong Min in My Dearest, Korea)
Tumblr media
If I had to pick a favorite ML from this list, it would be between him and Jing (LYF). This is basically if you took Rhett Butler and took out slavery and rape but gave him a sword. The character is complex and nuanced and NGM is giving his usual incredible performance.
Lee Rang (Kim Bum in Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938, Korea)
Tumblr media
I was not a Rang fangirl for most of the original (even if he was well-acted; and he did win me over by the end) but I fell for him head over heels in this sequel/prequel/spin-off. I am so happy the man who believed he had nobody and was abandoned by everybody ends the story with his beloved brother and his beloved woman, both.
Moon Seo Ha (Ahn Bo Hyun in See You in My 19th Life, Korea)
Tumblr media
A lot of MLs on this list have serious trauma and haunted by it and can't let go of their past love (I have a type) but even by those standards, Seo Ha was such a lovely, quiet person slowly healing.
Tantai Jin (Luo Yunxi in Till the End of the Moon, China)
Tumblr media
Abuse victim/monster/praiseworthy king/xianxia saint/man on the brink - LYX portrayed a character in multiple timelines and many different complexities and did it amazingly. Tantai Jin may or may not win my favorite place on this list, but his performance was hands-down the most glorious thing this year.
Tushan Jing/Ye Shiqi (Deng Wei in Lost You Forever part 1, China)

If before LYF aired someone would have told me that a character played by Deng Wei, an actor I've always found eminently forgettable, would make it on this list and be in the running to win the whole thing actually, I'd have wondered what weird reality they came from. They somehow managed to make someone genuinely good and kind not in the least boring; I am ridiculously invested in the man who managed to keep his soul after all he's been through.
Yun Xiang (Chen Xiao in The Ingenuous One, China)
Tumblr media
A schemer on a revenge quest, smarter than anyone else in the room but helpless in front of love. Yun Xiang was an adult in an adult story for adults and it was glorious.

"Never should've come here," you mutter angrily to yourself as you stride back down the rocky path. "You have great luck, huh? No cash, and ran into a crazy woman and a crazy man together. Great."
You decide to go around and try finding an ATM. It can't be that hard, there must be a bank around here or something.
But after twenty minutes, your side of the small, idyllic town comes up empty.
Now you're panicking. You're virtually cut off from everything in the town. As backward as it is, you can't go about without money. And you really don't have the energy to go back and face Ms Hwang and Wonwoo.
Shit.
"Need a bit of help?"
You whirl around and there stands Wonwoo, who looks amused. He's holding your Marc Jacobs, which you grab from him in palpable relief.
You can see why he seems humoured by you. You probably do look insane, standing near the beach looking so frazzled, a stark opposite from every peaceful passersby. But you don't have the patience to talk to the man right about now.
"Look, if this is about the coffee-" He begins.
"It's not!"
"I've calmed Ms Hwang down. She knows you didn't mean it like that."
You roll your eyes and turn away. "Thanks," You say sarcastically.
"You didn't, right?" He adds, ignoring your jab.
"So what if I did?" You snipe back in annoyance.
"Then that would be a waste, offending someone who can help you."
You narrow your eyes at him suspiciously. "You?"
He shrugs (for maybe the third time since meeting you) nonchalantly. "Don't need it? Alright then."
"Wait-" You mentally kick yourself at how desperate you sound. "I'm not usually like this. I'm not a disorganised person."
"Uh-huh," he says. The word alone, and you know he doesn't believe you.
You groan in frustration, raking your hands through your hair. "What now? I can't find an ATM."
"Yeah, the town council just started setting it up, so even if you go to the bank now, you can't use it yet."
"Bank...? You know what, never mind. How do I get money?"
He smirks, and seemingly without a care in the world, replies, "You earn it and show her, I guess."

"No. Absolutely not."
"I couldn't get another job for you at short notice. Get in there."
"No!"
"Do you want to pay Ms Hwang back and settle the situation or not?"
"..."
You unwillingly take the bright yellow rubber gloves he has outstretched to you.
"What am I supposed to do?" You cringe as you pull the gloves on, trying to avoid the spray of seawater that comes soaring toward you as the first fish boat docks.
"Simple. You pull in the squid nets and help detangle them. And then you pour them into buckets and bring it over there." Wonwoo points, while shielding his eyes from the sun, to a group of chattering elderly women on the other side of the dock.
You visibly cringe again as you catch sight of flopping fish in the nets, and his eyes narrow at you. "Don't look like that. It's an honest job. How most of us earn a living around here."
"I-I've just never done this before -- oh that is disgusting!" You yelp and shrink back as a fisherman hauls a soaking net of fish, reeking of seaweed, over his shoulder, greeting Wonwoo cheerfully as he passes you. You wonder if Wonwoo really does know everyone in this town.
Wonwoo sighs and tiredly motions for you to get on the dock. "I'll get going after I settle you in. Don't make trouble for the fishermen."
Uncertainly, you climb into the wooden platform, and a fisherman offers you his hand. You take one look at his hand, rough with toil and wrinkled from the water, and decline. Wonwoo stares at you.
“How much am I earning?” You call out as you struggle to step away from the dirty fish nets.
“Minimum wage, of course,” Wonwoo calls back, arms folded as he scans your current position.
You stop in your tracks and look up. Your quick calculation shows that’s slightly less than ten minutes’ worth of fees for your consultation in the clinic. You open your mouth to argue about the proportion of your hard work to the meager results, but he hefts his bag and starts striding away.
“Wait! Where are you going?”
“You want me to stay here and boss you around?”
Never mind. “Forget it. Leave me alone.”
He rolls his eyes. “I wasn’t planning to stay even if you wanted me to. I’ll come over later.”
The fisherman beckons you towards the docks, and with a shudder, you walk towards him.
───✱.。:。✱.:。✧.。✰──────✱.。:。✱.:。✧*.。✰ ───
Wonwoo can’t believe himself.
It’s been almost three hours after he left you at the docks, and he’s on his way, as promised, to give you your pay.
He’s half expecting you to be kicking up a fuss with the poor fishermen and the chatty grandmas who handle the squid, and making everyone’s life miserable, but to his surprise…you’re not.
Sure, the grandmas don’t seem to like you as much as they like him, but they seem to tolerate you enough to let you sit with them and learn how to remove the insides of a squid.
And you’re not shying away anymore. Not cringing and making stupid remarks about how gross it is. You’re sitting there, eyes trained in concentration as a grandma directs you.
Wonwoo smiles slightly before he knows it.

“Your pay,” the man himself gives you a small stack of cash.
You take it from him and sigh at how small it is. “Got it. I’m going back to the cafe.”
“Just give it to me. I’ll pass it to Ms Hwang for you, don’t think she wants to see you right now.”
You eye him suspiciously and his eyes widen comically.
“I’m not stealing your money!” He says exasperatedly.
You give in and hand him the stack. He counts out a few notes, presumably the cost of the coffee you didn't even get, and passes the rest back to you.
You shrug as you put the cash in your wallet. “Anything else?" Your voice isn't the most polite, but you're tired, so, so exhausted, and all you want to do is go home and crash.
“Going home already?”
“I’ve spent enough time here.”
He raises his eyebrows. “I see.”
He doesn’t say anything as he watches you leave.

“What?” You haven’t left the town. You’re standing next to your car, furiously talking into the phone.
“Right?! It’s insane! Of all the things in the world…” It’s your friend, Delia, a pediatric nurse, on the other end.
“You have to be kidding me. There is no way I can work on the same floor as him.”
‘Him’ being your ex. By far the ugliest breakup you had, in which the fights seemed never-ending, the slamming of doors a normal occurrence ever since his cheating. No more date nights, or any occasion that had you feeling breathless like when you met him. Stinging words had been exchanged, till the one that had gone too far: "You have a lot of gall saying all that when your parents are gone because of you."
And you had gotten out. No one should have used that against you.
Your professions had been a common denominator that drew you to each other, and it seemed that would be what reunited you.
"I'm not doing this," you snap into the phone. "I'm not starting a five-year contract with that man across the hall."
Your friend agrees before you end the call. You send a hurried email to the hospital, requesting extra discussion about your placement, before tugging at your hair in frustration. Tears burn in your eyes at the thought of your ex.
"Weren't you leaving?" You turn only to see Wonwoo standing there, hands in his pockets, his haversack slung over one shoulder in a casual, boyish fashion.
You hastily wipe your tears, as if he hadn't already seen them. His eyes change a fraction in concern.
"Yes. I was."
"What's wrong?"
"None of your business."
He shakes his head at you. "You really need to work on that sharp tongue of yours." Raising a hand in goodbye, he says, "Then I'll get going. A kid in the neighbourhood needs me."
"What for?" The words come out before you can stop them.
He looks back to you, bemused. "What?"
You swallow. "I'm a pediatrician. If a child is hurt or something, I can deal with it."
He tilts his head. "Well...yeah, the kid is running a high fever or something. Might be the flu, we get that a lot around here."
"Okay," you say, typing something in your phone. "Lead the way."
"You're serious?"
"Is there a hospital or clinic you can get them to?" You ask, eyes still on your phone as you note things down, as you do for occasional house calls.
"The nearest hospital is a 45-minute drive away since the only clinic here closed some time back. We usually just go to the town pharmacy when we need anything," Wonwoo prattles as if he's said it a thousand times.
You frown at him in disapproval. "Why wouldn't you have a clinic here? It's a whole town full of people."
"This isn't the city, miss," Wonwoo repeats. "You can't really expect everything you have in the city to be here too."
"Don't you think that's such a lame excuse? You can't even handle any health problems," you counter, and he goes quiet, raising his brows inquisitively. "And my name is Y/N. Don't waste my time. Let's go."
───✱.。:。✱.:。✧.。✰──────✱.。:。✱.:。✧*.。✰ ───
"38.7 degrees," you say out loud, sitting on the floor of the family's humble home with Wonwoo next to you. The young mother clutches her shivering son to her a little tighter, looking panicked. "Oh, what should I do? He couldn't eat anything and he got dizzy, and-"
You look up from the small pile of supplies you got from the small pharmacy, and reply, "Don't worry. It should just be a slightly more severe cold than usual. He's pushing a fever because his body is fighting an infection, and the body's response is why he can't eat anything right now. But I'll get him to swallow a bit of water with paracetamol, and sponge his forehead. It should break the fever. For the dizziness, it's because his immune system is affected by the cold. Let him sleep through it, and once the fever breaks, he'll be just fine."
The mother seems concerned still, and so you continue to placate her. "We're closer to the sea here, so colds like these are common because of the cooler weather. And he's still young. Kids tend to be more susceptible to sickness. This is still perfectly normal, so don't worry too much. I promise he'll be okay."
The mother seems less panicky and begins tending to her son after a brief thank-you. Wonwoo turns to look at you, your eyes still fixated on the duo. You just spoke so much, so gently, to a mother and child you didn't even know.

"So, you're a doctor, huh?" It's after everything has settled. You and Wonwoo are walking down the narrow path together.
"Pediatrician. I can do family medicine in general too, I just specialise in pediatrics."
"The town could do with a doctor like you," he muses. "Better than the villagers having to travel so far all the time."
"I was thinking about that."
"What?"
You shrug. "It's not right that there's no doctor here at all."
"Mhm. I've been nagging the town council for a small clinic at least, but they haven't been able to find a doctor who can stay long-term over here." Wonwoo kicks a small pebble with his well-worn boots, and it skittles off the path into the grass.
"I have a few months before I have to head back for my job."
"Uh-huh..."
You breathe deeply. The next sentence seems so daunting. "I can do a short attachment here. Clinic appointments or something."
He raises his eyebrows. "I thought you hated it here."
"I do." You reply with no hesitation. "I...I just don't like the idea of kids not having a doctor around. Especially with the dirt and sea air and germs around here and all that."
"Whatever you say, Miss Doctor." He's smiling slightly as you ramble.
"It's Y/N."
"Got it, Miss Doctor. And I'm Wonwoo. Jeon Wonwoo. People around here just call me Chief Jeon." He holds his hand out to shake yours.
"Okay, Chief Jeon." You turn to face him, ignoring his offered hand. He retracts it, looking even more amused. "I'll do this three-month arrangement. In return, I need a favour."
"Name it."
"Fix the card machines."
He lets out a chuckle at your firm order. "You drive a hard deal. Consider it done."
