when will people learn that live-action remakes will never be good as their original animated counterparts because the glory of animation is the colour, movement, and fantasy that's just untranslateable to live-action
I don't play Honkai, but I've just started looking into Genshin Impact's story (someone described Neuvillette's character to me and I was like. hmm. HMM.) I haven't gotten far yet -- really JUST started looking at it -- but I'm looking forward to more! :D
(I know almost nothing about these characters yet, I'm probably drawing them SUPER wrong, sorry)
I still remember the day when I accidentally saw the spoiler and people were like "oh, but it was without a context, we have to wait for it!" and it made me truly curious and excited to see what the whole scene was about
And let me tell you it turns out I was perfectly happy not knowing what it was about
(But you know, curiosity killed the cat. And I loved this scene, it was positively heartbreaking, angst in its truest form. Exactly opossite to what I expected to happen knowing this season was supposed to be quiet and gentle and romantic, really.)
'the transphobia/homophobia in this piece of media means something different than intended watching as a trans/gay person; I'm going to recontextualize it in a positive light' should not be confused for 'the transphobia/homophobia in this piece of media was never meant to be hateful and I'm going to recommend it as representation'
ah yes my favorite rogue ast... vax'ildan? (aka gale has hair envy + hairswap... kinda)
this is purely self indulgent + wanted to try some unconventional (radioactive) color palettes for them
these two r my favs from dnd related media + ylfa from never after but idk as much about it? caleb + jester will probably join this group lol but m9 needs to get animated first bcs... i'm not watching all those streams man
hey isn't this almost the exact color spectrum dogs can see
Last week episode has me still on a chokehold and when I saw the preview of Vash and Knives meeting in the piano room, this exact scenario appeared in my head.
Having just read the "Fifth Moon" chapter of Trigun fueled the whole thing, too.
So yeah.
Will it happen? Probably not.
Did I have to draw all of this anyway? Absolutely yes.
Remember when I pitched the concept of Chuuya developing a fear of lightning/electricity after the events of Storm Bringer and the Dragon's Head Conflict?
Thunder doesn't bother him, he deals with loud noises on the daily. No, it's the lightning itself that gets to him.
So obviously the solution is to close his eyes and wait for the storm to pass while berating himself because he should be better than this.
