I am so infuriated at the missed potential and opportunity for the AVP franchise!!!

We already had Dan Trachtenberg’s Prey to show us how successful this concept can be if delivered perfectly. And now they had an animated show in production that was cancelled. AN ANIMATED SERIES COME ON!!

It would have fit so well for the AvP aesthetic and action scenes. It would also give the opportunity to expand more of their lore. Shouldn’t that be the goal? Its what the animated Clone Wars and Star Wars:Visions is doing for the Star Wars Franchise!! Do they even want to make films anymore at this point??

I am just disappointed on and on at the current decisions that Disney is doing- Shelving and cancelling shows before they even see the light of day, not giving proper environment for their writers and CGI/VFX artists to be able to create and craft a well-written story.

They’re not making films for the audience or making films for Art’s sake anymore. Its all CAPITALISM now.

I just hope with every fire in my heart that the AVPverse gets out of Disney’s greedy hands and in the hands of a Studio that would LOVE and care for its universe, respect its characters-

Give us a unique Yautja that loves art! And is amused when he sees some paintings in Paris or hears an opera house on his first hunt on Earth!

Give us an animated episode of a Yautja on a hunt for Bad Bloods during Edo Period Japan!

Show us Yautja brothers in the beginning of their training and how they learn the values of an honorable hunter!

Take us to their homeworld, give us an aspiring Yautja matriarch who is eager to learn about their culture and their history with the Xenomorphs!

ragnarok and the loki series were both like watching loki die again, and have it rubbed in your face. he was “brought back”, just to be desecrated more. a reminder that not just his physical body is dead and long gone, but the idea of who he was not only to himself and the characters around him, but to real life people as well. it’s like no one remembers who he was anymore. he was dug out the grave, to essentially become a reanimated figure/puppet who no longer resembles the character you loved so much. as to say, he is truly gone and you are not getting him back. not in his own universe, nor another. or whatever the tva is. loki series loki is obviously not our loki and he’s very insignificant to me, but it’s a whole different story with ragnarok loki. he literally is supposed to be our loki.. we were left off with his best character development yet in tdw, and it was put together with so much care. the writers cared to humanize loki, without stripping him of everything that made him, him… and it all just went to shit because of new careless writers/directors. it’s made grieving loki really weird. he actually died in infinity war, but it seems like he’s been dead since after tdw. the character i love has died multiple times, and not just literally. i know recently i’ve been less serious on here and i haven’t talked my shit about ragnarok/the series in a minute, but i’m still in complete shock of his death. whether that be his literal death in infinity war, or the death of any idea of his character and who he is post tdw. i can’t believe my favorite character is dead. i have a lot of favorite characters who have died, but not like this. this is worse.

honestly, back in my 20s i also did A LOT on a daily basis along with travelling long distances...i was young and had slightly more energy than now and was passionate about the things i did

and i think it does come down to that a bit....your own passion and joy that you derive out of things....that helps drive oneself to do more of it i think...along with MANY other factors ofc but yeah, this is one big factor too

and i'm VERY VERY happy that mile has given himself this opportunity to pursue his love for music in a professional way.....he's a music lover and a business lover so why not combine both the loves right?

i hope he gets time and energy to look after the family business as well

sada and turo are fascinating characters for the obvious reasons and it definitely drives me crazy thinking about how they were willing to do a bunch of insane and dangerous things for the sake of bringing about paradise on earth, but i don’t think we acknowledge enough the fact that their idea of ‘paradise’ consists of a bunch of dinosaurs and robots running around. no world peace, no sociopolitical movements, no bringing back long-lost people. they straight up just wanted to play with cool toys they read about in picture books and that ended up driving them insane. they’re so funny

Remembered this detail about Kazami's characterisation while working on the update for Absolute Zero:

These highlighted parts are entirely here to establish the character we are looking at, this version of “Kazami Yuuya”. It's spun off out of Kazami's manner of interacting with his fellow officers in Movie 20, where for some reason, it is almost like he “needs to prove himself”.

In here, part of it is the expectations set by Furuya being Furuya. And part of it — why he is so good at working for Furuya, meeting his demands, etc — is because it's something which drives him as a person as well.

So, these are possibilities which could form an explanation for Kazami's canon interactions.
