when i was a kid we all had these godzilla toys that the arms and legs all popped into place so they could easily slide/rotate (not move but just rotate lol)

anyway there was a bluish one, a redish one, and a greenish one. the three of us often fought over them because all our favourite colours were blue (kins is green thoigh 🥰 im not counting him in this story though)

anyway long story short i was attracted to them and forgot until right now i was trying to find the type of dolls i had by googling them and that memory sparked when i found them 😭

and if it’s all for nothing? What then? I’m watching these people my age learn to be alive for the first time and they tell me I am more put together than they are, but I’m not. It makes me laugh. Where did the idea that Steve didn't know what a lesbian was before Robin come from?? Like, his "but Tammy Thompson's a girl?" comment is pretty clearly coming from a place of ingrained heterosexism, not him being unaware that it's possible for women to be attracted to other women. (As evidenced by him saying "Oh." once he puts the pieces together and not asking any follow up questions.) (And also by him literally accusing Jonathan of being queer in season one which admittedly is a moment that I can understand people forgetting/wanting to forget, but like. It happened.)

*  be on today! i have some housekeeping stuff for work , but ? after that i should be good. i hope everyone is having a good friday ! we madeee it. it’s been a week i also feel like i’ve aged 10+ years. 

also, been thinking about the friends i’ve made on here. so grateful for the few i have. i was so hesitant to open myself up to people again + i just became shy but? everyone who i’ve met have been amazing. a special shoutout to those who came into my life when i had a different blog a year ago. you guys are amazing, and there are those who taught me how to let go of a lot of negative feelings about this space. i had a very bad experience on  previous blog so? i’m just really happy that either a) people just came and heard my side / listened or b) had a similar experience and just said ‘let go of that hurt because it’s not going to help’ which is so true. what i’ve learned from my time here is that? you’ve gotta create boundaries and within those boundaries respect the other person. know that this place is a place where i come to get away from my job. it is a HOBBY for me for all intents and purposes. which is it for MANY of us. of course i care about the people on my dash but, i also have created boundaries because of my past. i’ve seen some posts floating around this week speaking to this, and i couldn’t agree more. while this place is super accepting, you have to set up your own blog in the way YOU want to feel safe. sure, it’s human nature to want to be liked by everyone but? as in life, that’s just impossible lol.  honestly i cannot speak more to the small circle of people who helped me during a really tough time. there are some amazing people on this website i’ve met 2 of my really good friends here. like any website it has its pros and cons, i just woke up this morning feeling lighter, and just? i don’t know i feel really good about where this blog is and i know that’s silly to some. i just wanted to take some time to thank those who just were there and were such amazing friends.
