hiii!! 3 things..

1) for your mask expression art where goro's mask is confused, you said you took inspiration from atsv? what is that, if i can ask?

2) in persona 4 arena , theres a shadow suppression unit named labrys and she essentially only wears yasogami's highschool uniform so if you look at labrys and aigis, the idea of shadow suppression unit goro works very well because his school uniform is nice enough that he can hide his princely (& maybe later darker?) outfit and appear more human when theyre in public (excluding ears of course.. those can be passed off as headphones however).. i just thought thatd be something you would find interesting

3) in norse mythology there's the myth of loki killing baldr, so skadi traps him below the earth with chains made of what's holding his 1st child fenrir down as well, and poison from a creature (i cant remember the exact creature unfortunately) but he stays there until the ragnarok (the end of the world) and his wife, sigyn, who puts up with all his mischief and the fact that 4/6 (or 4/5, depending on what iteration you look at) of loki's kids are not sigyn's at all (hel, the horse he gave birth to, fenrir, and jormungandr are the ones not sigyn's.. nardi and vali slash just nardi is sigyn's) . but anyway sigyn holds a bowl and catches the poison so loki doesnt suffer, and every once in awhile the bowl fills with poison so she has to go outside to dump it out, and loki withers in pain because while she is gone the poison drips down his head and it causes earthquakes.. but anyway. this all reminds me of engine room (being trapped & in pain, etc) and its also.. loki. so sigyn as akira and loki as akechi art would be super duper cool.. i encourage you to look into both loki and robinhood's myths because robinhood era-myths also include the mention of mordred, the incestous son of king arthur who kills his way to the top yet his revenge fails (reason unspecified, it can be assumed he was killed himself or robinhood took his revenge for him) and his outfit is suspiciously similar to that of the black mask's, from the horns to the black getup.. mordred is akechi, akira is robinhood, and robinhood's merry band of thieves are the PTs.

1)ATSV is Across the the spiderverse ! that movie inspired quite a few things about my art style, that also just happen to work really well with p5s visual motifs since the comic book inspiration and heavy use of colour blocks and halftones, as well as they make the spiderman masks eyes emote, since they have them on for a big portion of the film, and its the cutest thing ever

2) Ive seen Labrys' design! she always reminds me of miku if im completely honest BWAHA but yesss he could possibly hide it very well, also the fact that he always wears gloves could hide his fingers too :D

3) havent touched too much into norse myth besides the surface level knowledge of it that i obtained thru osmosis, mostly from friends who were into it. also i loveeeee binge reading wikis and link hopping (did it with gnosticism -> ended up inspired and made the ophiomorphos piece hehe) but its such a spontanious thing for me, i shall keep it in mind tho :D i did wanna at some point read up on hereward more specifically, since out of his 3 personas him is the one i have not a single clue about but i....forgot...i really dont give a lot of love to hereward sobs

#rat rambles #random card au #no matter how far I drift from my bndori and sekai peak days the random card au keeps hitting me like a truck every now and then #it just scratches an itch that I havent been able to satisfy since my cr days years and years ago #I wouldnt say the random card au has super similar worldbuilding to my old cr stuff as that was much more large scale #but it still has a similar appeal to me I think #I think its the building entirely new worldbuilding based off of designs and general vague starting concepts and bringing them all together #that gets me invested as it feels so satisfying slotting it all together and then actually getting to play out the story in this new web #I loveeeee jumbled webs of worldbuilding and characters that all tie together in a way that makes it almost impossible to completely #seperate one cast of characters from another #I love the feeling of a world with a bunch of intertwining plots like that even if it makes it near impossible to format a normal story #like my cr stuff was just so much man I still miss it sometimes even if I hate cr itself #Ive become a much better story creator too now so I know I could make what I had so much better nowadays and I already like my old stuff #it just makes me all the more sad that I went so crazy hard on worldbuilding for a franchise that sucks ass </3 #it may have been two of the worst years of my life but Ill also never reach that worldbuilding high again I think #oh also it made me actually start the slow slow process of getting more ambitious with my art and doing more digital stuff #rly thats the biggest reason the random card au pains me so since I wanna post stuff for it but man do I not wanna draw anyone from it #first of all human characters so already eh but also Id have to adapt the cards theyre based on into a design I can actually draw #so as much as I wanna make a billion random card au animatics I cant even bring myself to draw them normally #you see olivia and jackie are easier to draw because I just made shit up for their designs and as such made their designs very simple #but I cant just make shit up for bndori and sekai characters they actually have designs and hair that Id have to adapt to my style it sucks #I just wanna draw doggy arisa is that so much to ask for (yes yes it is I dont wanna figure out her hood) #also rip mygo yall will probably never get in but who knows maybe one day Ill have my second bndori era and then y'all will get in #its rly just the fact that they likely wont have enough cards to properly add them for another few years #especially if that other band also gets in if that happens neither are getting enough cards until the servers shut down lol #like I Could just pick and choose but thats boring #kinda ruins the point of the au y'know? #like tbf Ive cheated in the past by reroling two and limiting my options with several sekai characters #but thats just because at the time most sekai characters had almost no usable cards for this au and the two I rerolled were also unusable #like Im sorry but I couldnt just add normal ass hagumi and masking it wasn't happening

Metaroach and Metadede for ship bingo

metaroach is a Super super solid ship. two people with mysterious pasts and their own set of morals they abide to with a small group of people they command but also love and treat like family. theyre the type who are private about their relationship but i love thinking about their men on both sides pestering and teasing them about their relationship while they deny they have a thing. ultimately the two can relate to each others struggles a lot with living the lonely space faring life and find comfort in each other

this is totally a personal Me thing but ships where its a ship because of how similar the two are just dont click with me though. thats probably the same reason why i cant really get into zansusie either. i can definitely see it though and its cute (dont get me started on their dreamy gears novel dynamic its so good) but i like ships with more clashing personalities

Speaking Of my metadede bias is showing HAHAHA id say so sorry but its metadede week (AND KF2S ANNIVERSARY TODAY) SO I HAVE AN EXCUSE. this is like The clashing personality ship. do i need to subject people to all my thoughts on this one in particular. does anyone need to know about my enemies to lovers slowburn 5000 agenda. for real though this ship is so near and dear to my heart for all of the canon relationship development theyve gotten throughout the whole series, with being people who presumably werent on good terms to the Absolute Besties Ever. im actually insane about them. i loveeeee ships where the two bicker and argue and disagree a lot but understand each other on a deeper level and actually care extremely deeply about the other person and would do so much for them. im so weak. honey, honey, hold me baby: i think this was the first thing i ever requested from him and boy did it deliver. i think about this anytime i reeeeaallly dont want to get out of bed in the mornings because. well. the image of vincent solaire waking you up makes it a lot more bearable, no? the ambiance of this fic is just so quiet and tender and sweet and just so perfectly vincelovely- she got their back-and-forth teasing so perfect and also all the little sweet moments between them make my heart melt. TRULY a masterpiece.

i love you, i adore you: YEAHHHH of course this is on here. OF COURSE. if someone asked me "just how lovesick is vincent solaire?" i would show them this fic. so FREAKING cute i cannot even put it into words. i think even if you're not a vincent fan you should read this one because my oh my will teaseat change your mind. "look at my lovely" HELLO?????? i know it's your birthday tea but you WILL pay for this.

dopamine rush: GASP im choosing something that's not vincent-centered?! yeah teaseat is just THAT good. this fic is like 90% responsible for endearing me towards david. i loveeeee getting to hear david's stressed out yet so so happy inner monologue i think shes captured his personality his vibe his aura so so well. "with how much he makes fun of asher and milo's faces when they see their mates, he should really take a good look in the mirror. or have a better poker face" DAVID SHAW. this is so crazy and i love getting to see the beginning of the davidangel relationship when theyre both starting to realise how much they likelove each other. plus. theyre wearing his shirt. i mean cmon now. also he writes that david was "holding back a shudder" i dont know what type of twisted mind you have to come up with that but i cannot deny your genius.

honorable mention: palilalia- completely unlike anything else hes written but by god is it crazy amazing. i think this is the best character study (?) of freelancer i've ever read. the writing here feels so...alive, in a way? you can really just feel the atmosphere when you read it. and also it's just so, so interesting to read. something that i'd want a physical copy of for my shelf, for sure.

OF COURSE there are others (teaseat has never written a bad headcanon in her life) but i just wanted to highlight my top favourites and talk about them a bit. teaseat my bffl an amazing author and also age 20 years old today. god bless

I'm sorry to bug you, but I just can't stop thinking of the equestrian au. Like if Adam has the same friends in McGill and Larson. Would they treat the horses not as well as Adam did his? And thinking about that I just had a mental image of Adam standing up to them when they try to go after his horse. Charlie might even see it and see Adam in a different light! Also thinking of the others Ducks maybe working at the stable. Maybe Bombay or Orion owns it. Then you have the two worlds of "rich boy" Adam with his rich friends and Charlie and the others. Imagine Adam watching them talk and laugh one afternoon when he was left behind by his friends!

Sorry, I'll stop for now. I never had money for horses, but the few times I was lucky enough to get to ride them I loved how fun it was. Plus, I religiously watched Saddle Club. I was a city kid so that was me living vicariously through them. Anyway, I'm done now.

Theyre 100% totally rich and entitled though and mostly care abt the showing off and the winning part of riding more than the actual horses themselves. (Ive seen professional riding horses who have more of a connection with hired groomers than the people who actually ride them, so I can imagine with Mcgill and Larson it’s like that if that makes sense. They don’t really bond, it’s more of a showing off thing for them.)

I can see this totally bothering Adam because he absolutely loves every single one of his horses but never really saying anything until Maybe an incident in the barn where one of Larsons or Mcgills horses got injured somehow and neither of them actually caring and Adam just going OFF on them. Like full on done with their shit lol

I honeslty love the idea that Bombay or Orion owns a stables that the other Ducks work/ride at!!! I didn’t think of that and I loveeeee it. I can see it being a smaller barn and not as pristine or rich as Adams, but still being quite nice. All the Ducks having a little equestrian team and going to local shows together is such a cute idea 🥹

As for Charlie, he probably grew up in Bombay/Orions barn (i know in the movies he didn’t know either of them until he was older but just for the sake of it pretend he did 😂) and has been riding horses since before he could walk. He probably got the job at Adams barn for the extra money and the opportunity to ride more. I can totally see him hating Adam at first (thinking he’s probably the stereotypical rich kid) but then really seeing just how much Adam loves the horses and what he does. He begins to admire Adam and becomes determined to be his friend (and eventually more lol)

Eventually they do become friends and Charlie invites Adam to come to the barn he grew up at, and that’s Adams first real taste into the smaller equestrian world lol

I can imagine Adam loving riding up there with Charlie because the pressure to be the absolute best rider isn’t there and he can truly just enjoy the sport and animals he loves so much

ahhh this AU is my fav 🥹 I love horses and the mighty ducks so this is really working out for me rn lmfaoo

I have had to answer this ask three times bc my phone keeps crashing and I have a cat on my chest so I can’t get my laptop, BUT I am always estatic to talk abt heroes gate and zeldas universe so let’s go!!!

2) Who was the hardest character to design?

Twilight, sky, and waker def. I wanted twilight to look very distinct from other aus, which tend to stick to common motifs like face tattoo, wolf pelt, etc, and that proved to be very, very hard and I’ve actually redesigned him a lot recently and need to post those redesigns haha. Sky was hard for similar reasons, but also bc I have a hard time with fat characters. I myself am fat, but I have a hard time making characters that look like me; I get quite embarrassed and end up not making them look how I want. Sky has always been fat since day one of designing, but making him fat on paper is much harder for me. Waker’s prosthetic gives me trouble— I wanted it to look similar to an 1800’s soldier's prosthetic, but that’s easier said than done when they were so awful for the person using htem. I’ve had to do a lot of research which has been fun, but also lots of work and redesigning over and over.

As for the zeldas, it was definitially my two armored girls, phantom and aella. phantom bc the phantom armor is ugly as fuck and very bulky and mature, something phantom is not, and aella bc I wanted to keep her elegance but had to sacrifice it for actual armor, since she is ya know. In the middle of a war.

4) Is there a character you want to include but didn't for whatever reason

I would have LOVED to include the first ever hero from the skyward sword manga. He’s one of my favorite characters to sandbox and I think he would have added a lot, but I’m already running with a shit load of characters so he got cut from the roster :(

14) Do you have any headcanons about the Rito/Zora/Goron/Hylian/ect

YOU BET I DO!! World building is my bestest of friends, and i have too many to do in one sitting (if you'd like me to go more in-depth i would loveeeee to) but i do have a huge post on the interactions between the gerudo and sheikah here. i dont agree with all of it anymore, as my ideas on ganondorf have shifted, buuuut it's still a good read :)

just gonna hit some bullet points of headcanons bc if i try and make it a cohesive paragraph we'll be here for everrrr

each race has very different ideas of gender and sex; in particular, the gerudo's terms voe/vai dont actually mean man/woman, that's just the meaning hylians put on them. it actually refers to a role in society; there is no real concept of hylian 'man' or 'woman'. the kokiri are completely agender (one of the ways oot link realizes they/she aren't kokiri is bc they/she realizes theyre/she's transfem. poor kiddo), and the gorons have little in the way of sexual dimorphism and are all genderless. the zora are all asexual, though they range in romantic orientation; they find the hylian concept of sex to be strange.

there are many kinds of zora; ocean (including subgroups like deep sea, costal, artic) zora, river zora, and lake/marsh zora. they do not have a history of getting along, but the calamity forced them together and they've become a multicultural diverse and mostly peaceful society

sheikah language is heavily gendered, but the sheikah's concept of gender is outside the hylian binary. the sheikah are deeply, deeply religious and historically served as priests and monks as well as soldiers for the hyrulian crown.

mentioned in the post i linked but: impa is a name passed down to the leader of the sheikah, and as subservient to the hylian crown (gross), it is expected that each impa will serve the queen and her children specifically as a bodyguard since the first impa (skyswd) served the first zelda.

because the sheikah were expected to carry out the hylian family's violence for so long, which primarily targeted the gerudo, there are tense relationships between the two groups

sheikah cover their faces 24/7 out of remembrance of the sheikah who worked alongside hylia, who had to hide their faces to avoid being burned by her holiness. the sheikah directly and deeply revere hylia as well as local gods and spirits.

hylian ear shape has changed over the centuries. skyswd hylians had short but pointed ears, but the later early generations of hylians had large, very long, furry ears from intermingling with zonai, and as time passed and the zonai disappeared, the ears lost their fur, became medium-sized, but stayed pointed
