I’m so glad I found someone else who has headcanons about Bruce having bad past relationships and the kids being protective over him because of it, especially Dick and Jason. Ofc Talia and Selina have the most rights; I love to imagine that Bruce loves Talia, but he's not IN love with her, yet, they both love Damian so incredibly much ( i refuse to believe that bruce would EVER let her think shes not capable of love) that it doesn't bother Talia anymore.

And Selina is Def the favorite ex. She has a mug that says " World's Okayest Almost Mom" and she'd trade her diamonds for it any day, any time. Quite possibly helps the batbrats in their protective shenanigans bc she's the ex turned best friend

ppl make a good point when they say making Damian pale isn’t whitewashing. i just get annoyed when ppl make him a Brucie junior with blue eyes and a button nose and such. he IS half white so it’s not crazy for him to be pale or take after his dad a bit, but i think it’s CRIMINAL when ppl give him blue eyes or dont a LEAST draw him with a wicked ass, cool ass BREATHTAKING nose. as long as y’all get those eyes and nose right i’ll leave u alone

sometimes I’m reading old comics and I’m like “Talia girl why don’t you just Hit Da Bricks” and then I’m like “hm probably because victims of abuse often have a hard time leaving their abuser, familial or not, and this very much reads that way” and then I’m like “hm but this probably didn’t even occur to the writers they most likely just didn’t see her as a  person with agency/power to change her situation and instead linked her freedom to Bruce because of course the only thing that could free her would be another man”
