BACKSTORY FLASHBACK aw lil Laios and Falin so cute

Falin can see ghosts and she could expel one from Laios with just a stick, smol Falin awesome

she could also tell what was binding the ghost/spirit (the ring)

Laios comments that "adults are just scared of magic" when Falin asks if she did something wrong which makes me think that the people form her village/town had some choice words for her bravery and skill which figures (fuck them)

I think eelo pointed out this detail in the first watch, but Falin is holding adult Laios' hand here :(

adult Falin appears in his dream too and says not to worry about her :(((((

Marcille comments she needs to learn more defensive magic

she reattaches Laios' leg but it itches, and she helps Chilchuck and Senshi too and they all experience "recovery pain" which is what happens when you heal a big injury quickly - it hurts like a motherfucker

Senshi notes that digging around on the insides of the red dragon (they're looking for the stomach) reminds him of when he worked in a mine 👀 (I am genuinely upset at how little they're feeding us Senshi stans I NEED TO KNOW MOREEEEE)

the stomach is empty, Falin got digested :(((

so the red dragon uses the non-food parts of its pray as fuel for its fire breath (like hair and bones) and in there they find Falin's staff

and um a human skull

good thing it didn't use any of the Falin bits for its breath while it was chasing them around ig 💀

something about the way that medusa is portrayed in this episode is so special to me. not just the portrayal of misogyny in the real world (and thus, the mythic world) and how the victims in the stories, even when the men were at fault, are always the women. but the parallels between annabeth and medusa. two innocents who prayed to athena and worshipped her, for absolutely nothing in return. they’re just two women!!! who were victims!!!! by the same monster!!!!!! my god!!!!!!!!!

and annabeth’s steadfast trust and support and reverence towards her mom, parallel by medusa’s disdain. it’s kinda like looking at tlt annabeth and hoo annabeth. we get to see how she started, someone who worships her mother, vs how she ends up, someone who resents her mother. as annabeth goes on in her life as a demigod and continues to go on quests, seeing what the gods put everyone else (her and her loved ones included) through, her reverence lessens. and she really becomes more similar to medusa than she is to tlt annabeth/athena.

(also the parallel is not lost on me that medusa fell in love w poseidon and annabeth fell in love with a son of poseidon!!!! but i digress. sorry. just had to add a sprinkle of percabeth in this analysis.)

So, here's Rosario Dawson at the same age Ahsoka was during the Siege of Mandalore. You cannot tell me they couldn't have just smoothed her out a little instead of using Ariana Greenblatt for that scene.

Look at her. She's perfect as 14-year old first year Ahsoka.

But Siege of Mandalore Ahsoka was pretty much a grown woman.

Her lekku are nearly fully grown and she's nearly her full height. I never liked how they altered her bone structure in Rebels, but she's barely any taller than she is here. Her montrals grew some is all.

Anyway, it's a small thing to gripe about, but I wish they'd show her as she was instead of aging her down so much.
