I’m so happy to hear this! So getting into One Piece definitely works both ways! I think both the anime & manga have their reasonings for why u should start with one over the other. The anime has its amazing voice acting & (especially in Wano) AMAZING animation. I’m a bit partial to the anime bc that’s how I started, however, that being said, the manga is a lot better. Pacing & overall writing wise, u really can’t go wrong w the manga

I would say my suggestion is to read the manga, but definitely watch the impactful scenes from the anime maybe after you’ve already seen them in the manga. Even in the first 40 episodes there is a HUGE scene that still makes me tear up every time I watch it in the anime bc the voice acting is 1000000/10

The manga is not only paced better, but it has cover stories that don’t get animated ! & cover stories that are actually ?? Quite important ?? Like sometimes they’re for jokes, but a lot of the times they build the world even further & lets u see what certain characters may be up to while the straw hats are at “X” location

But !! Do feel free to come into my ask box throughout ur read/or watch through of one piece !!! I lovvveeeee seeing ppl get into the series so much. I really hope u enjoy it bc I promise u, the number of chapters may look scary now, but soon ur gonna realize that there’s just not enough & want more

i think if theres one thing u need to know abt my writing is that i LOVE using repetition to drive home a point. like im not sure if thats something i've utilized enough in my posted writing in order for it to be noticeable but i lovvveeeee taking smth and then repeating it but more and more intense to truly make a point sometimes

Step 1: Aura - 

you need to be in the right headspace and physical place to relax completely. clean your room, bathroom, closet, etc, so you can sit in there and not have to stress about clutter or being unorganized. light some candles, turn on some music, and use a good smelling, natural room spray (lavender, chamomile, eucalyptus, etc). before you start anything, change your sheets and pillow cases, and get out fresh, clean undies, and pajamas, and if you want to, i LOVVVEEEEE using fuzzy socks.

Step 2: Necessities -

bring out the bath goodies. face masks, bath bombs, bath melts, bubble bars, bubble bath, foot scrubs, body scrubs, pumice stones, body wash, oils, whatever makes you feel clean and fresh and pampered. make your space smell good. like i said, candles are my go to, yankee candle usually has TONS of really great sales, but walmart also has candles for really cheap that smell great too!! my favs are bath and body works bc i feel as though their scents are stronger, but that may just be my imagination lmao. use essential oils, pillow sprays, body sprays, hand sanitizers, body lotions, anything that makes your space feel and smell cozy and fresh and safe. i LOVE making tea on a self care night. i use black tea or green tea, but any kind of tea (or hot cocoa) soothes the heck outta ur soul. eat some fruit, or something healthy, rather than pizza or wings or any kind of heavy greasy food that weighs you down.

Step 3: aftercare -

get into ur robe or towel or whatever u fancy, and do your whooooollleeeee skin care routine. all the extra shit. wash ur mask off if u havent, exfoliate, tone, moisturize, whatever all u do. then when u finish that, get into ur jammies and into ur fresh bed and watch a good movie with some more tea and a healthy snack. watch ur fav youtuber, movie, listen to music, etc, whatever you wanna do to relax. 

but most of all remember that you're important, and so is self care, even when you cant go in depth all the time, doing a face mask while you do homework, or packing some apples and peanut butter rather than chips are little ways you can incorporate self care into your every day routine. i hope this helped!! much love to you, and good luck!!! 🌸👄
