okay okay so in an anime i’m watching the cliffhanger reveal was a arachne/drider/ half spider half human monster, but the way they did it was weird. so it looked like a normal massive spider, and then the human part sat up.

but of course. of course, its a female spider monster, so with the slow pan up and the half-human reveal, her tiddies take up most of the screen for a bit. But the way they did it, the way it looked on top of the spiders head, I thought they were large eyes.

so. what if the humanoid part of these half insect monsters evolved like, not like an anglers lure, but like a complicated snail eyes, with the arms coming out the sides to manipulate things real finely real close to the big peepers. they lived in the dark and instead of losing the sight they just got a pair of really big eyes to check some specific small things. idk, like, to combat the “no really I’m super poisonous” deceit mushrooms. you’ve seen the memes with the “ambrosia brown caps” and the “dumb idiot fool brown caps” looking identical.

they can’t go to the surface with their tiddeyes out, propriety aside, as the lights outside would be hellish. real fancy how humans already had special tiddeye holders, what weird convergent evolution! however this leads to some sad encounters with monsterfuckers going in for a grope and squeezing an eyeball.

This has been bouncing in my head for a week now. It feels like some intricate pottery in my brainspace that I’m admiring. I just had the eyeball grope thought and needed to share the pain/amusement

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
