Tmy played with nja and someone else for about an hour yesterday thats mostly what I was talking about but then Nja said something like I'll take care of you baby (i think he was giving him a medkit cant rmbr exactly) and then he also made a bit about how he's gassing tmy up (the car they were in was empty tank and they were in a gas station so nja tookthe gas pump and started saying like oh youre so hardworking and youre attractive and youre aims really good whatever whatever) and I think I didnt hear this ine but apparently nja asked tmy if he was 18 .

Favourite day of the week? Hm, sunday. I work on saturdays, but only a few hours, so i manage to get chores done and i’m always free on mondays, because i work part time. 

Can you say the alphabet backwards? No. I’m not even very good at it forwards, and especially not in a different language, i always have to go back to german if i want to sort something alphabetically

How do you like your coffee? with quite a lot of milk

Favourite pair of shoes? sneakers

Time you normally get up? I’m really struggling with getting up right now, and i know i have to work on that. When i go to work i get up at 6:30 to go out with the dog before eating breakfast and driving 30 mins to work, but now with home office, i’ve been sleeping till 8:30 often, and i start working at 9! That’s not a good habit, but i just can’t get out of bed. It’s happened that i snoozed every 3 minutes for 1 1/2 hours and been dreaming a continuing dream through that.

How many blankets are on your bed? one, but it’s a double blanket, two blankets put together with press buttons, to make two lighter ones for summer.

Describe your kitchen plates. Oh, they are wonderful! There are lot’s of different ones and also one pretty set, all of them are bought second hand and from a traditional swedish manufacturer.

Describe your kitchen at the moment. Could be worse.

Do you play cards? Yes! i love playing cards! i play mostly rummy with my parents, but my absolute favourite is an old german game called Doppelkopf, it’s similar to skat but you need 4 players and it’s not very easy to learn, so i haven’t played with people for years. I play online with computers though to not forget it, but online live playing stresses me out too much.

What colour is your car? Red.

Do you know how to change a tire? Yes, i finally invested in a good car jack last year to change them myself and not have to get a time at the workshop twice a year. unfortunately, i broke the head off of one of the bolts and now i’ll have to get in anyways.  

Your favourite state? State of mind? Gotten things done that i procrastinated

Favourite job you’ve had? Oh I’ve loved most of my jobs dearly. But contrary to my most hated household chore, i think I’ve actually been happiest doing the dishes in a restaurant. It may have been a combination of my coworkers and the place the restaurant was at, but i still also get very happy as soon as i see an industrial dishwasher and may use it. 

How did you get your biggest scar? I don’t have that many and none are very big. The two biggest ones are on my hands i think, right hand is from putting my hand on a broken glass window when 2 years old, and left hand is from a dog bite

Trying to process, which isnt the same as work because processing is what comes before. As I picked up the pizza, images of triangles appeared, along with the statement that there is no such thing as a half because there’s always a hinge and the hinge is zK, which means you’re only halving in the visible attributes, which are projections.

Can I say affine? I have no idea why that word means essentially flattened out, projected geometry. Since I say words wrong, I’d bet it’s fine not feen like I think. Mention this to remember the cap-set problem, because that describes the largest space across which you cant find 3 points making a line. I’m getting a sense of what that means.

Not sure about Annie. (MY2) I get in the general sense the cr layering - see above for an example - which generates endpoints within a cr that are all iterations of what then occurs. That came out fairly well because it marries expectations to path histories. So just thinking for a moment about this yields a startlingly deep realization (at least to me, but I think it’s general). I have had recurring images of Anne and Nicki with their arms around each other, smiling at me, sometimes laughing at me, sometimes making fun of me. Never was able to see them as combined but then that is exactly what happened in the NJA Storyline: Anne left, then I had it out with Nicky because something was off and I knew she needed to leave to join Anne, so I told her to do that. And soon after that came the El Storyline, which I think of as the goddess story because El was exactly the perfect physical and emotional mate, though I cant think of a single deep conversation about anything at all, like there was no way for them to occur and the space the story ran in was dedicated to a love story. I never thought about this in cr terms because I hadnt reached that analytical depth, but cr pulls A out into another story, reducing her presence in the one, and I never thought of those both together in a triangle though there’s a dash in the sentence from perspective J-A-N-J, so there’s zK between A and N. That makes NJA as the zK for the dashes, but that misses the other end of the zK from each. Say those are each combinations, so ‘opposite’ N is JA, then it’s AN, then NJ. It’s counting of counting. Then the counting of that is JAANNJ, at least in one perspective. There’s a clear hinge in the middle.

And of course there were mulitple elaborate conversations and notes made about letter arrangement that included the triangles at the ends. I mean if you slide JAA over NNJ or other way, then you can read the first three letters from the front or back, left or right. So you can start with N in back, read J, then A, etc. If you then move to the last three, this can be made symmetrical so start at N, read J, read A. I’m not sure what this means, but of course a host of signs appeared. So running forward, from me is JAN, but going backwards it’s JNA, meaning A left, then N. That has a symmetry with ANJ, where leave first ends at stay.

That’s a lot of cr, meaning a lot of possible pathways for reading the characters. And back to division: the hinge binds the halves.

This is very much like trying to define how kids and animals fill the ‘psychic’ spaces left open by siblings. That is a cr phenomenon.

Bar Burlesque, October 18th, GURU bar

Finally! I made my way over to Bar Burlesque, the more relaxed (and slightly more raunchy) cousin of the Ladies.

The tagline is “dancing, contests, lots of wine!”, which immediately paints a picture of a glitzy, light and fun evening of easily-digestible glamour.

So was it femme-fuelled fun or measly mediocre meh?

Read on, darling…

The Venue

Guru bar - an eclectic loft in central Moscow. Comfy sofas. Friendly bartenders.

It’s perfect.

For DJ parties.

For dancing.

For dancing on the counters (more on that later).

But for watching a show on stage? No.

Stating the obvious is such a frightening bore. For a show, visibility is key. If half the audience can’t see the stage, what is the point?

The Host of promised fun, Tanya Konfetki, entered the stage only to the sound of “Jesus Christ Superstar”.  This was repeated consistently.

She religiously repeated the jokes of Anja Pavlova. They are good jokes, that is a fact! Especially with the right delivery.

She hosted contests that were meant to…make Burlesque more…to make the audience try…I’m sorry, what were the contests for?

Also, I always were of the opinion that stage presence is something vital for person who has the noble duty of hosting an event.

The word that I heard whispered in the audience was “tamada”.

My gorgeous reader, I encourage you immediately contact a Russian friend (or make one right this instant!) and question them about the exact nuances of the word.

Oh, how we miss you, Swan Queen.

The Performers

No Halloween show can go on without Tamasinushka’s Little Red Riding Hood. The hunky seductress seemed unusually tense and absent, almost distracted. Surprisingly, there was no energy in her most famous act. Unfortunately, the sparks from her red straps did not light up the performance.It almost seemed as if she didn’t want to be there.

Perhaps this should not have been the opening number. It seemed to leave more confusion than excitement.

Except, of course, for Tamasina’s students, who cheered regardless of what was happening on stage.

But that’s what loyal students do, isn’t it?

We’ve also seen the resurrection of The Jester - or The Fool?

There was more energy, more contact with the hungry audience - I wonder if it was some liquid courage or more glitter on her visage?

I must admit that I am spoiled for The Jester. After the intricate masterpiece of Xana, this looked, I’m sad to say, quite bland. Yes, even with the twirling and the hat. What is the thought, the point, the magic?

Blanche enticed us with a slightly updated teacher/secretary/Mary Poppins leather fantasy, and she was pure class. Her humour was beautifully enjoyable, the way she caught the music cues was exciting, and overall the energy was truly fun! The lady teased! The lady played! The lady lived on stage!

And a special thank you for doing your act on the elevated part of the stage, where we could actually see you.

A true professional!

Jeva Noir. I do not know if that hair was a wig or not - I do not care, it looked spectacular. Could not take my eyes off the hair - and her. She really does have a unique kind of beauty - cold, titan-like, epically graceful.

To my great sadness, her Poison Ivy is still lacklustre - and not because of the costume (which bejewelled thoroughly, as if all the beads of sweat have turned into glitter drops), but because of the lack of atmosphere. Why must the lady be so stern? Poison Ivy is one of the most fun characters ever created! She’s campy and seductive in the most comic-book way. I’m afraid it’s simply a question of the character/artist relationship. It may as well be a unique interpretation of Ivy, but it still has to work, must be convincing.

At some point a group of SugarFactorySchool girls infiltrated the stage and started randomly undressing. It did go well with over-all scattered atmosphere of the night.

And the last bows, done with the backsides…Why is it gloriously naughty in the dinner show, and not quite so classy here?

The Verdict

This brings the question -

What is the vibe supposed to be?

What actually is this event? Who is it aimed at? I saw ravishing ladies in exquisite outfits (some dressed more creatively than the performers) and t-shirt wearing lads who looked utterly perplexed.

What kind of audience is this meant to attract? Is this a passage into Burlesque for the more casual folk? Do they need it?

Do we need to make Burlesque more accessible, more simple?

We crave the sass and beauty, the sensuality and drama, the sophistication, the humour, the class - the word “common” scares the glamour fairies away, darling.

There’s a way to do elegant-relaxed, and this just isn’t it.

There is a difference between a “lady of leisure letting her hair down” atmosphere and a high-school disco vibe. Both are glorious in their own way, but one must know what to await!

It wouldn’t be such a big thinking piece if this was any other company other than Ladies of Burlesque - the apostles of high-class elegance in Moscow. Stick to your guns, ladies!

It simply wasn’t done in that good taste that makes LoB stand out.

The tone demands precision.

Despite all that, believe me when I say, he does has true feelings and most of them are directed to his family, specially his younger siblings who he loves to the end and would do anything to protect. And when I say anything... I mean anything.

Fake Friends

There are so many types of friends. The “She has money so I want to be her friend” till the “I like her because of how she is”

But real friends are hard to find. I had 3 friends. I thought that I could trust them but no,

- The first one tells everything to her mom (every secret I told her). I met her last year. I won’t say her real name so I’ll call her Laura.

- The second one is a girl I met in September. She was really nice to me. I’ll call her Amber. She is a girl who thinks that she’s the queen. She always acts like she doesn’t care about anything.

- The third one hurts the most of all of them. I thought that I finally found a real friend but no that stupid ***** faked our whole friendship like I don’t mean anything to her. I’ll call her Charlotte.

This is how I found out that they weren’t real friends.

Laura, Amber and Charlotte have a groupschat. A few days ago Charlotte and I were watching a movie on her phone and then I saw what they al said about me.

I already had a quarrel with Laura and Amber but we hadn’t (idk if it’s a word. Sorry my english is really bad) finished our friendship yet. But then that night at idk 6 pm? Your morning was already bad. You woke up... good good so far.... you made yourself breakfast.... you where putting on your school uniform. DAMM OFCOURSE NOT THE SKIRT! HELL NO NO NO NO NO!!
