If there was one thing twelve year old donghyuck wanted more in this world, other than his mom’s cooking, it was his two best friends coming together. You had been his friend since birth, both your mom’s bonding together before the two of you even came into the world. They met in a birth class, having similar due dates helped them both find comfort and friendship within each other compared to the other moms in the class that were farther along than them. They had already planned playdates after both you and donghyuck were born and even after all that time, they stayed true to those plans.
Your earliest memories have donghyuck in them in some shape, way or form. Whether he was attending you birthday party, or you to his, all the way to the two of you sharing the same home room when you both started school. The dynamic between you two was truly unmatched, something that could never be touched or fault. When you two got older, not much had changed. The excitement of high school had you both buzzing as each day passed through your final years of being just below the line of being a teenager.
Although you both were attached by the hip, you still found space in your young life to befriend other people, or at least donghyuck did. Thats how mark lee came into the picture, being a transfer student in the middle of the year made it hard for him to settle in and become comfortable. Donghyuck saw mark sitting along during lunch one sunny afternoon and although the two had a bit of a rocky start, their friendship blossomed into something that they both needed. Now that he had such a connection with his new found friend, all he wanted to do is share his love for mark with you. You thought you were a welcoming person, easy to get along with and fairly nice, but the day donghyuck brought you and mark together would just so happen be the day you lost your best friend.

“I’m telling you, that doesn’t sound right to me.”
Mark rolls his eyes, laughing a little under his breath as he strums his slender fingers against the strings on his guitar. “Its not finished yet, gotta trust the process.” You simply reply with a hum as you watch mark fiddle and try to tune the strings to his liking. The two of you were cooped up in his dorm room, him sitting on the edge of his bed with the instrument rested in his lap while you opted to sit in the chair that usually was tucked under his desk. “What are you doing here anyway, don't you have other friends to bother instead?” Rolling your eyes, you feel your phone buzzing in your pocket. “Actually, no i don't, i thought we went over this. Yeongmin is off studying so she can’t aid my boredom.”
Mark continued strumming along the strings till he got a rhythm he liked and started to hum along with the tune that was filling the room. “I swear you’re gonna be famous one of these days.” Looking down at your phone, you notice the groupchat you’re in with your friends is going off. “That would be nice actually.” Unlocking your phone, a smile spreads across your lips at the messages that were popping up. “Maybe if you didn’t have crippling stage fright, you’d be able to actually play the songs you sing to more people than just me.” A gentle laugh left mark’s throat as he set the guitar down on its stand beside his bed. “Actually, I sing to Haechan too, so don’t come for me.” His name left a sour taste in your mouth, your face scrunching up as you try to block out his stupid face in your mind. Mark could tell you two still weren’t on good terms, but he didn’t want to push it again and opted to pick up his phone that was vibrating on his bed.
You stole a glace at the screen, catching the name of the caller id. “Speak of the devil and he shall appear.” You mumble underneath your breath. Mark answers the facetime call, holding his phone in his hand, but opting to hold it further down at an angle. “Yo, whats up?” The background noise was windy, letting both you and mark know that he must've been outside. “Bro where have you been, i've been looking for you for hours!”
“If you didn’t find him, he obviously didn’t wanna be found, but if its you he’s hiding from who can blame him.” Mumbling beneath your breath, but mark still heard you. “Hey, you be nice over there.” haechan looked confused on the screen, strolling around on campus to his unknown destination. “Are you talking to yourself again?” mark turned his camera around, showing you sitting comfortably in his chair as you scroll mindlessly on social media. “No, im not talking to myself again, y/n is here.” by the mention of your name, haechan rolled his eyes. “Why is she always there when im coming over.”
“I didn't even know you're coming over.” added in his defense after switching his camera back around. “If that thing is on his way, i’m out.” you piped up, grabbing your bag from off the floor as you stood up from the chair. “Text me when you make it in at least?” mark felt helpless sometimes. He never truly understood what went down between you and haechan all those years ago, but splitting his free time between the two of could could be more challenging some days than others. If he wasn’t chilling with you in the comfort of the few places you knew haechan wouldn’t be caught dead near like your dorm or the library, he was chilling with haechan and the friend group they developed over the years being in college.
“Will do, have fun with the devils incarnate.” You say back as you’re opening the door to make your exit. Just as you’re leaving, you come face to face with something firm or shall you say someone. “Do you ever use those eyes of yours or are they just there for decoration?” you recognized that voice from anywhere, it being the same voice belonging to the one person you were hoping not to see on your way out. “Can you move lee, or are you just that self absorbed to think that I could just see you standing outside the door before it was even open?” Haechan scoffed as you walked past him, huffing as you nudge him with your shoulder to get him out of your way. From mark’s dorm to yours wasn't a far walk, which was good for you when you needed to get out of your room or just needed his help on an assignment. Unfortunately for you, it meant that haechan too didn’t have much of a far walk either seeing that his dorm hall was across from yours.
When you get into your room, your roommate wonchae looked up from her phone as she was laid out on her bed. “I thought you were at mark’s for a few hours?” Tossing your bag down beside the door you huff as you walk over to your bed and crawl underneath the blanket after removing your shoes. “I was till donghyuck decided to grace mark with his presence.” Wonchae giggled as she sits up, looking at you getting comfortable beneath your blanket as you pull your phone out. “Wanna call the girls over for a movie night instead?” you glance over at her, a smile spreading across your lips as you prop yourself up on your elbow. “As long as we’re not too loud again, we can’t afford another complaint this month.” Wonchae was already texting the groupchat before you could even finish your sentence. The night proceeded with you and your friends having a movie marathon despite your early class in the morning. You assumed it wouldn’t be too much to unwind a bit, binge watching three movies back to back. Somehow, you didn’t make it to your bed when you initially planned to due to the twins, wonchae and yechae convincing you to pull through the last movie.
Since the time on the clock read after midnight by the time the movies were finished, the three girls opted to sleep over with you and your roommate instead of taking the risk of going back to their own dorms. Yeongmin’s dorm was the furthest from yours, being about a twenty minute walk and you all collectively agreed she especially was sleeping over. Somehow you and yeongmin both managed to fit in your tiny bed for the night while the twins and sin-ra snuggled up on wonchae’s bed across the room. By the next morning, you woke up to the sound of yeongmin snoring in your ear beside you. She had her arms and legs tangled in yous, trying to pry her off you as you crane your neck to look over at the time clock on your desk. Your worst fears were confirmed when the time read nine after when your first class was supposed to finish. Quickly getting out of the warmth of your bed, you scramble to get ready and are out the door before you can properly apologize for waking everyone up.
If you were lucky, or rather fast enough, you can catch your professor before he starts his next class and get the notes on what you missed. You make a mental note to thank yourself when you set up your schedule for this semester for giving you breaks in between classes, especially on the midday schedules. As your toppling up the stairs leading into the building, you spot haechan leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He hadn’t noticed you thankfully, not wanting him to hold the fact that you almost busted your face open trying to get inside over your head. He looked so into thought, looking out over the campus as you take the opportunity to grip the railing to catch your breath.
“Look who decided to show up for class today.” rolling your eyes, you straighten your posture as he pulls himself off the wall he once was comfortably leaning against. “Don’t start with me today, i almost died trying to get over here to catch professor choi before his next class.”
“Don't bother, he cut class short for some family emergency or something, but i can fill you in if you fix your attitude.” He truly was the epitome of your frustration. “Just tell me what i missed so i can get away from you as quickly as possible.” there was a mischievous glint in his eyes when he tools steps towards you. “Looks like you’re not gonna get too far, we’re partnered up for a presentation.”
If the universe didn’t already hate you, you’d think this was your first sign. “I can always request a partner switch, you know?” Haechan only laughs in response, clutching the bag hung over his shoulder with one hand. “Good luck with that, he made it pretty clear that he wasn’t giving in because this will be counted towards our final.” a sigh left your lips as you accepted your fate, you and haechan would have to spend an unknown amount of hours in each others presence without any chance at getting around it. “Just meet me after our next class and we can go over it then.” WIth that, you turned on your heals and made your way to the nearest cafe to get something in your body since you didn’t have the opportunity to grab breakfast. Thankfully for you, your campus was notorious for its tiny cafes placed around all of campus which not only helped feed your caffeine addiction, it helped other students make some money as they swim in student dept.
As good as every cafe you’ve been to on campus can be, none of them compare to the baristas at cafe neo, something about the way those boys make your drinks just the way you like them has been without a doubt why you only trust them with your order. As you make your way across campus and the cafe is within sight, you over hear a conversation between the two girls in front of you. “Oh my god, look what bomi just posted!” the one to your right gasped, whipping out her phone as she brings it to the slightly shorter girls attention. “You’re kidding, isn’t she dating haechan?” you’re trying not to be nosy, not fond of listening into other peoples conversation, but at the mention of haechan’s name, you can’t help, but keen in. “Guess not anymore, look at the caption, those hearts are definitely more than just friendly.”
The two part off of the way you were going, leaving you with little information as to what their reactions were about. You had just saw haechan, judging by his usual cocky and self absorbing nature, he seemed all but heartbroken. You push your wondering thoughts aside as you enter in the cafe, smiling over at the tall boy who stood behind the counter. “Welcome to cafe neo– oh hi y/n!” his nametag read jisung, but you always referred to him as the cute underclassman who blushed when you tipped him. “Hi ji, anything new on the menu?” Jisung smiled at you as you walk up to the counter. “Nothing today, chenle is still brainstorming over ideas to ask the culinary department on what they can come up with in the back, you just want the usual?” You skim over the menu that was hanging on the wall behind him, as if you got anything different, but it never hurt to look. “Mmm, yeah, just one please.”
Getting the money from your pocket, you lay it on the counter as he typed in your order on the screen in front of him. It’s times like this that make you wonder how often you come here for this boy to know your order by heart. He takes the money you laid out for him and as he tries to hand you your change, you throw your hand up in refusal. “No, you keep it, you boys work too hard.” theres a slight pinkish tent to his cheeks as he slips the few bills and coins in the glass jar beside the front of the counter. “I’ll call you when its ready!”
Throughout the rest of the day, you take your perfectly made drink with you to your next class and go about your day, everything feeling as normal as it could. One thing that slightly bothered you were the hushed whispers of Haechan’s relationship and how quickly his ex girlfriend seemed to move on. People were coming up with theories amongst themselves as to what could’ve happened and if Haechan knew. Just like you, some said he seemed fine for the first part of the day till the alleged post was made from which you overheard. You didn’t pay it any mind and went about your day till you were back in your room for the night.

“And if you carry this number, you should get one of these answers down here.”
“And how do i know if i got them right?”
“We won’t know till we actually try, now won’t we?” Jaemin, the guy who you shared a math class with last semester, asked you to tutor him this semester so that he might actually have a chance of passing the class and getting out of this hellhole. His words, not yours. “Or, brillant idea, you can use your pretty brain and show me which answer is correct.” Jaemin was indeed a smart guy, but it was moments like these that you questioned if he really had a multi functioning organ in that skull of his or was it just hot air. “Not a chance, solve it the way I showed you and we’ll go from there.” With a defeated huff, he finally puts the pencil that he has been fiddling with the last few minutes to work.
The two of you met in the library near his hall regularly, about twice during the week and an extra day is added when he has an upcoming test and if you have the time. The library usually was quiet around this time of day, most keeping to themselves as they cater to their own work, but for some reason you felt a pair of eyes staring at the back of your head. Just as you’re about to take a look around the room, the chair beside you is being pulled out and haechan finds himself in the seat next to you. “Where have you been?” you look over at him, slightly shocked to see him actually in the library. “Excuse me?” His face tells you that he’s annoyed, rolling his eyes dramatically as he leans into your personal space. “I said, where have you been, i've been all over campus for you and had to result to mark to find you.”
You motion to Jaemin who was focused in on the problem in front of him, or at least he was when you last looked his way. Now he has his signature grin on his lips, flashing his teeth as he witness the unwelcomed tension between you and haechan. “For your information, i’m tutoring pretty boy over here and your grumpiness is interrupting him.” Jaemin’s smile widens even more as the vein in Haechan’s forehead looks like it about to pop. “I, quite frankly, don’t give a fuck. maybe send someone a text next time so i don’t have to look so desprate to find you.” You scoff, sitting back in your seat as you realize his undertones. Who was he to say that looking for you made him look desperate, he literally is desperate in this moment.
“Sorry to break up this beautiful moment, but its about that time for me to go, so y/n, same time next week?” Nodding, you let out a sigh as Jaemin starts to pack his things into his bag and slings it over his shoulder. “There, happy now? You ran off Jaemin.” haechan ignores you, pulling his laptop out of his own bag and sets it onto the table. “We have roughly a month and a half to pump out a fucking book of an essay and make a slide point presentation, the faster we get this finished the less I have to see you in my free time.” He was truly unbelievable, first he comes and interrupts your personal time to help the needy, needy being Jaemin and his need to pass his class, and now he throws wanting to get away from you as quickly as he can? You are definitely adding this to the list of why you hate him.
The two of you go over the topic you were given, trying to break down the work between the two of you into categories: what you can do separate and what you’ll have to do together. Since you both were already here, you decided it would be best to get a head start on the research portion. Time must’ve caught up with you both, wrapping things up right before the library closed for the night. “I can’t look at this screen anymore, lets just end it here and meet up another day.” You grab your forgotten bag from the floor, carrying it on your arm as Haechan packs up his laptop. By the time he is done, you’re already making your way out the door and dredging the walk back to your dorm. Quick approaching steps trail behind you as haechan jogs to catch up to you. “Woah, not so fast, aren’t you forgetting something?” you don’t bother to stop, continuing your walk as he walks beside you. “And that is?”
“We don’t have any way of contacting each other, idiot, so give me your number.” You halt your movements and with a sigh, turn to face him. The bright sky from when you first entered the library earlier is now replaced with the deep colors of the night. The moon was full, shining its light down and being your only real light to see haechan’s features that seem more soft in this setting. “Do you still remember my number?” Haechan looks taken aback, looking at you with a lingering confusion in his eyes. “You still have that number?”
“Mhm, so if you still know it then there’s your way of getting to me.” You’re about to turn and make your way to your dorm, your stomach urging you to find food soon. Haechan was chewing on his bottom lip, reaching out for your arm as he watched you try to walk away. “What is it donghyuck? I’m hungry and tired, what could you possibly want now?” The wind leaves his lungs as you say his name. Once he got to high school, many people started sticking him with the nickname Haechan, the reasoning behind it was his bright smile and personality, but you still saw him as donghyuck even after all this time.
“Just come with me, your dorm is too far to be walking at this time of night.” You didn’t get a chance to protest, he was already dragging you along with him to his car parked out front. “Fine, but I swear if you try to kill me with your driving I will come back to haunt your ugly ass.” You earn a snicker from him, his hand still holding your arm till you two reach his car and you slide into his passenger seat. Haechan fits perfectly into the drivers seat, putting the keys into the ignition and starting up his car once you are locked in. The two of you don’t say much, letting the radio fill in the silence of the drive. You’re too busy looking out the window to realize he passes up your hall, looking over at him with confusion once you see an unfamiliar street.
“Uhm, where are we going?”
“Dinner.” The words fall from his mouth so nonchalantly that you don’t question it any further, sinking into the seat as you let him drive to wherever he wanted. You’re not exactly sure why, but part of you always wanted a moment like this. Sitting in the car with Haechan, driving around town till it got dark was one thing you dreamt of back when you were both young, back when you still could see yourself in his future. Now that you’re doing it, it almost feels foreign. Sure, everything about his car screamed Haechan, the little things dangling from his rear view mirror gave that away, but the boy beside you was far from familiar. He was uncharted territory, someone you barely knew and to be beside him, being this close to him brought on a headache you weren’t expecting.
The two of you pull through the Taco Bell drive through, getting in line behind the cars. “What do you want?” You tell him your order after glancing over the menu. Even though you already knew what you wanted, you still wanted to give it some time to tell him in the order you wanted it. You were the type of person who wasn’t afraid of change, but didn’t go out of your way to invite it either. Always ordering the same thing from each place you go, you found comfort in the things that could always remain the same, like your Taco Bell order.
After your order is put through, you’re pulling your wallet out to give him cash for your part. “Here, this is for the food.” Haechan simply ignores you, handing over his card to the guy at the window. “Hello? Take the cash before I take it back.” After getting his card back, he slips it into his pocket and pulls forward. “Save your money, y/n, it’s not a big deal.” He seemed short with you tonight, not speaking up or putting much of a fight into it like he usually did in the passing times you two saw one another. It felt odd to see him brush you off, an unsettling feeling washing over you as you put the money back into your wallet.
After he had gotten the food and your two drinks, he whipped his car around and parked in a spot on the side of the building. “Are you fine eating here, I’m kinda hungry and don’t wanna have to wait till we get back.”
“No, yeah, it’s fine, but are you okay?”
You could see his body tense up at your question, pushing the straw into your drink before doing so to his own. “I guess, why do you care?” You’re sorting through the bag, grabbing what you assumed was his and handing it over to him. He goes to grab his food from your hand, your fingers brushing against each other’s for a moment. It wasn’t an unpleasant feeling, the warmth of his hand against yours, but it felt all too familiar and you almost jerk back as he quickly grabs the food. “Because I’m a decent human being and I knew you well enough back then to know that something is off.”
If you could read his thoughts, you’d see how badly your words hurt him just now. You were far from wrong, you truly did know him like the back of your hand and maybe even better than he knew himself, but too much time between you two had you both wondering if you knew anything about each other anymore. Amongst the burning anger you both have for one another, there was still some sort of longing within you that had you both slightly questioning the downfall of your friendship, but never enough to where either would act on it. “I don’t know, it’s kind of weird to think of opening up to someone I hate.”
“Then don’t think about it right now, if you need someone to talk to then do so. If it means forgetting you hate me just to get it off your chest, do so donghyuck.” A somber smile finds its way onto his lips as he tears open the wrapping that covered his food. “You’re a little too nice to me for someone who hates me just as much as I hate them.”
“Just because I hate you doesn’t mean I’m evil, I have a heart too you know?”
“Oh really, I never would’ve guessed judging by the lifeless look in your eyes.” You roll your eyes at his jab, mumbling something about dropping it before relishing in your food. The two of you don’t talk much after that, sitting in his car with the only form of sounds filling it were you two eating till he dropped you off. After getting in, wonchae gave you a weird look as you looked both defeated and exhausted. You told her you had a rough day and wanted sleep to be the reason you forgot about it.

You hadn’t seen or heard from Haechan since the night he bombarded you in the middle of your study session with Jaemin then took you out to Taco Bell. Sure, you’d see him in your shared class, but not once did his eyes meet yours and he kept every snarky remark to himself if he had any. You didn’t pay it any mind, assuming whatever was going on with him would pass and he’d be back to his normal asshole-like self soon. In between your classes for the day, you decided to slip off to the neo cafe for some well needed caffeine to keep you going through the day. While you were here, you planned to slip off in a quiet corner and let the music they play in the small room milk your brain to help you continue working on the parts of your presentation with Haechan.
As you’re walking up to the counter, you notice Jisung was nowhere to be found and you opt to wait patiently by the counter. The ring of the bell signaling the doors movement doesn’t catch your attention, but the familiar voice behind you does when you turn your head to the boy who called your name. “Can I help you?” Haechan hadn’t turned to look at you, his eyes scanning over the menu. “What’s good here, do you know?” You give him a puzzled look, wondering where this small talk came from. “Uhm, if your taste buds are even remotely the same, I’d say you’d get the sweet honey taro drink, it comes iced or hot.” He simply nods, tearing his eyes from the menu and lets his gaze fall onto you. The two of you lock eyes for a moment, trying to find something that felt familiar behind them, but all you could see was the void behind his golden irises.
“Y/n, I’m so sorry to keep you waiting! Chenle was about to burn down the kitchen so I had to step away for a second.” Jisung’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts, turning to him with a soft smile. “That’s okay ji, I’m more than happy to wait if that meant this sacred place would still be my caffeine plug.” Jisung smiles as he enters your order, his attention going from yours to Haechan whose gaze has yet to leave your figure. Your eyes follow Jisung’s, looking over at Haechan. “Oh, no we’re not—“
“I’ll just have what she’s having.” Haechan pulls out some cash from his back pocket, bringing it out for Jisung. Your mind couldn’t wrap itself around Haechan’s weird demeanor lately, he not only has been nice to you, but he’s paid for you twice. You knew he was sick in the head, but now you’re guessing it’s more than just his mental stability. When Jisung gives Haechan his change, you fumble with your pocket and pull out a few bills to throw into the tip jar, something you didn’t want to miss even if you weren’t the one paying. Jisung silently thanked you with his smile, to which you returned and told you both that he’d call you when your drinks were ready.
You were about to start questioning the weirdly quiet Haechan before he motioned for you both to move over to a table a little further in a corner. The two of you sat down, setting your bag against your chair as you prop your elbows up onto the table. “Okay, you’re acting weird and it’s starting to make me feel uncomfortable.” Haechan’s lips part as he goes to speak, but Jisung’s presence interrupts him as the younger boy sets both the cups down. “Thanks, ji.” You said, grabbing one of the drinks and bringing it towards you. “Y/n, back in the car you said something that I’ve been thinking about lately.” He had your full attention, something that made him oddly feel sheer to you. You were leaned in, your body language letting him know that you were listening, despite the awkwardness of the moment.
“You said that even though you hate me, you still have a heart too.” Nodding in confirmation, you remember saying it, but it didn’t make sense as to why he was bringing it up. “I, uhm, don’t know if you heard or not, but my girlf—my ex broke up with me recently and I really want to get her back.” You bring the cup in your hands to your lips, taking in a slow sip in case his next words are your cause of death. “And the only way I can think to do that is to make her jealous and I know what you’re thinking and I can hear it now, but just hear me out?” There it was, his intentions and reasoning behind his odd behavior lately. As you process his words, you already know where this is going and your drink decides to be the one to take you out today instead. You start to choke as the liquid goes off its track and nearly comes back through your nose.
Haechan’s eyes widen, staring at you in surprise as you try to gain back the air that just left your lungs as you cough. “Are you okay?” You simply nod, patting your chest as your drink is put back onto the table and you’re taking in slow breaths to steady yourself in the seat. “Uh yeah, no wait, okay hold on, you want to do what now?” The boy across from you drops his head slightly, feeling embarrassed by even bringing up the situation. Yeah, he wanted his ex back, he truly loved her, or so that’s what he thought it was. “I know it sounds ridiculous, but you’re the only person I thought of.”
“And what makes you think it’ll be believable? I mean the whole campus knows we hate each other.”
“But they also know we have history, plus this project will be a good enough cover to make them believe we had some spark going off or whatever.” You stay silent, contemplating the whole ordeal. On one hand, this could go terribly wrong in many ways, people could not believe you two and this could blow up in your face for the rest of your time at this university or it could go great and once he’s back in the arms of his ex lover, he’ll finally leave your hair for good. “I’m not saying yes, so don’t get too excited, but if I were to think about it, what do I get out of it?” Haechan knew you were going to want something, a slight smirk forming in the corners of his lips. In his mind, he guesses some things never change and with that, neither have you. “I’ll leave you alone after this, no more bickering or picking at you and shit—oh and I’ll do half of your work for the project!”
Damn, he truly was desperate. You press your lips together, trying to debate if this truly would be worth it. The outcome, if good, would be best for both parties and maybe you’d finally have a peaceful rest of your time here. Something deep down inside tells you it’s a bad idea, but you choose to ignore it because if it meant he’d take over half of what you have to do on your shared presentation, more free time for you. “I have to go to class, but I’ll let you know by later tonight.” Your watch indicated if you didn’t leave now, you’d be late for your next class and since you have a lab today, you especially didn’t want to miss it. You go to stand, one hand holding your bag while the other grabs your cup. Haechan stands too, his bag still hanging on his shoulder as he goes to grab his cup. The two of you exit the Neo cafe quietly, unaware of the lingering eyes that follow you two out.
After your final class, you make a b-line to Mark’s dorm where he was expecting you. It had been a few days since you two had time to hang out and you both were taking the opportunity to have some study time together in the quiet of his dorm. Once he signs you in as a guest, you both go up to his dorm and make yourselves comfortable, you being at his desk and him sitting on his bed. “What do you have to get done?” Pulling out your notes from your lab along with your laptop, you set everything out on his desktop. “Just going over some notes and typing them into a small essay for class, you?”
“Man, I got a quiz to study for and since professor moon likes to give them at the worst times possible, I gotta get as much as I can in.” The two of you fell into a comfortable silence as you both busy yourselves in what you were doing, Mark had his speaker on and chose a calming playlist he created for when you two would study like this. The music really did help you stay focused, having something to fill the room to keep your brain from getting off track. You’re about halfway done typing away on your laptop when your phone buzzes beside it. Glancing over, you notice a few missed notifications from your shared group chat with your friends, a few social media notifications and a text from an unknown number. You’re about to pick up your phone to see who texted you when an incoming call pops up on the screen, the same number that texted you.
You slide your thumb across your phone, bringing it to your ear. “Hello?”
“You didn’t answer my text.” Of course it would be Haechan, who else were you expecting. In all honesty, you did expect him to text you at some point, but the call was a surprise for you. “I’m studying, like you should be doing too.”
“I need to know your answer, don’t get too excited.” You can practically feel him smirking through the phone followed by some shuffling. “Where are you anyway? I stopped by your hall and you weren’t there.”
Your posture straightens, wondering who he asked and what he told them when we made his way to your dorm. “You did what? Are you insane?” Haechan laughs, a soft laugh as you lean back in the seat. “Slightly, I’ve been told that’s a part of my charm though.” Rolling your eyes, you huff before looking over your shoulder at mark. “I’m with a friend, why?”
“Tell me where you’re at unless you want me to go to every hall on campus.”
“You’re fucking psycho, I’m with mark, idiot.” At the mention of his name, mark looks up at you as you swivel the chair around. You mouth Haechan’s name to him to which he looked genuinely confused. “Figures, I’m on my way.” He ended the call before you could even protest, swearing under your breath as you stood up to get your things together. “Why are you—actually no, since when did you and Haechan call each other?”
“I’ll explain later, I gotta go though bub, but I appreciate you studying with me.” You gave mark an apologetic smile as you packed your bag up with your laptop, making sure to grab everything you had. “Text me when you get in.” Mark had stood up from his bed, making his way over to you to gently pull you into a hug. The two of you never hugged much, the sudden affection leaving you taken aback slightly, but nevertheless you wrap your arms around him as he did you. “I’m right across the street, I’m not going rouge.” He hums, pulling back from the hug as he gives you an uneasy smile. “Yeah, I know, but you’re going with Haechan and that’s what makes me worried.”
It too made you worried, even if you didn’t exactly agree to his lil situation he proposed earlier, that nagging feeling that it wasn’t going to end well never left you every time you gave it more thought. “I’ll be fine, plus my location is on if I don’t text you by nine.” Mark only laughs as your arms drop from around him and you leave his room. It doesn’t take you long to get out the building, spitting Haechan’s car parked in front with his passenger window rolled down. He’s leaned over, a smirk across his lips while one hand grips the top of the steering wheel. “Hop in.” He says as you make your way down to his car. Once you get in, you throw your bag in his back seat and fasten your seatbelt before Haechan takes off and drives you two off campus.
“And where exactly are we going?”
Haechan doesn’t look over at you, his eyes focused on the road, but he can feel your stare on him. He was wearing a letterman jacket with a black shirt underneath and some jeans that complemented the look, it was the first time you really took in his attire and you swore he didn’t have that jacket on earlier. “Somewhere quiet we can talk, to sort everything out for the show we’re about to put on.” He’s cocky, confident and arrogant. You hated it, hated how smug he looked as the words fell from his mouth. “I haven’t even said yes yet, did that get through your thick skull?” He takes a moment to glance over at you, his mischievous expression never faulting. “You wouldn’t be in my car with me if you didn’t want to.” Fuck him for being right and fuck him for being slightly attractive when he said it. Slightly, not very or even a full hundred percent, but slightly.
He drives you two off to an abandoned looking parking lot where he puts his car into park and turns slightly to face you. “Have you thought about it enough?” You turn to face him, getting as comfortable as you can in the seat. “I guess, but you better pull through with doing half of my part of the project or else I’ll castrate you, no hesitation.” Haechan laughs, a full laugh that has his head tilting back just a bit. You’re fighting the smile that threatens to form on your lips. “You have my word, but we have more important things to go over.” He searches your face when you remain quiet, having the same look you did back at the cafe earlier, he knew you were listening. “Okay, so I was thinking our first appearance as a newly and very much in love ‘couple’ should be at the party this weekend.”
“Scratch that, I don’t party.”
“You’re gonna have to if you wanna keep up with me.” You scowl at him, rolling your eyes mentally as you give in. “Fine, but I’m not making it a habit, I have grades to keep up ya know?” He simply nods, going over the next few things y’all as a couple would have to do together in order to pull this off. Your first outing would be at the party, to much of your disapproval and the following will fall into place like dominos. You’d start having lunch together if your schedules met up, the two of you would spend time between classes together, again if your schedules met up, then you’d also have to sit beside him in your shared class. He also made mention that he’d be picking you up and dropping you off at your dorm so that you’d always be seen with him to make it believable. “Now we need to set some ground rules.”
“Ground rules? What are we, five years old?”
A memory flashes through Haechan’s mind, back to when you two were five. You had been on the playground at school by yourself and he was off on the monkey bars when you had fallen off the swing. The ground did not aid your fall, scraping your elbow and knee which resulted in a cry that not only alerted your teacher, but haechan. When get got to you, you were sniffling over the pain and the dirt on your dress, a dress that your mom bought for you for your previous birthday. “Y/n, i told you to wait for me.” Five year old Haechan pouted as he walked with you and the teacher to the nurses office. “I wanted to swing, I didn’t think I’d get hurt.” You replied, holding his hand gently. After that day, the two of you made a rule that you’d play together to make sure if something went wrong, you’d be by each other's side.
“The first rule, no one can know, not your roommate or your friends, if you have any, not even Mark.” You scoff, hitting his arm to which he whined. “For your information, I have friends and it’s not only Mark.” Haechan rubs the sore spot on his arm as he shakes his head at you. “Yeah yeah, the voices in your head don’t count.”
“Fuck you, Lee.”
“Second rule, no falling in love, not with anyone while this is going on, which goes without saying, but no hooking up either and no falling in love with me.”
“How can anyone fall in love with someone like you?” You didn’t realize the weight of your words till you watched the smile from his face fade away. Guilt washed over you in a wave, your face dropping as you see him fiddling with the buttons on his jacket. You’re about to apologize when you see his mood shift, he turns back facing the wheel and starts his car. “Yeah, anyway, two rules and that’s that.” You don’t say anything back, turning back in your seat to fasten your seatbelt. Haechan drives you back onto campus and drops you off in front of your hall. “What time is your class in the morning?” He asks as he puts his car into park. “I think it’s an eight am class, but I’ll text you when I get in.” He nods as you free yourself and get out of his car.
Heading upstairs, the phone in your hand is going off with missed messages from your group chat with your friends. You’re smiling down at them as you push your door open, only to look up and see your four friends sitting with their arms crossed. “Oh hello, did I miss something?”
“We missed you!” Yeongmin stated, sitting with her legs crossed on your bed. “Where have you been, ma’am?” Yechae asked as she gave you a knowing smile. “I was just out, jeez, I’m sorry mom.” Sin-ra giggles as she pushes out her phone for you to see. “Uh huh, and whose car was this?” All the girls ooo at you as you sit down on your bed, filling in the spot next to Yeongmin. “You watched me!” Wonchae shook her finger at you, “What else were we supposed to do when you went missing? One minute, you’re at Mark’s dorm and the next, you’re off the grid!” The four girls immediately started questioning you as you brushed off their curiosity with half-assed answers. You wanted so badly to tell them all that’s going on and the situation you had gotten yourself into, but that was one of the two rules Haechan made. No one can know.
A loud knock on the door interrupts the conversation, all of you looking at one another. “Oh, that must be our RA, I think the pizza is here.” Yeongmin gets up from your bed and goes to open the door, unexpecting the boy who was on the other side. “Hi, uhm, is y/n here?” Haechan’s voice immediately caught your attention as you scramble off your bed while the other three girls give you wide eyed looks. “I’ll get it!” Yeongmin’s grip on the door is stronger than your force of trying to push her out the way. She moves, but not enough to where you'd be blocking their view. She only steps back, opening the door even more for them all to see him standing there with your bag in hand. “Hi, sorry, I didn’t even realize I left it.”
Haechan can tell by the look on your friends' faces that they were shocked to see him there. He had an audience and he was about to put on a show. “No problem baby, you left it in my backseat.” The sudden nickname makes your stomach flip, but you weren’t about to show him that. Instead, you reach for the bag to which he moves with his hand. “Ah ah, I want a kiss goodbye first.” You immediately glare at him to which he gives you a smirk. “Not in front of my friends, silly.” The emphasis you put on the last word has Haechan smiling even wider. “Just one for the road?” With a deep breath in, you had only two options. Kiss him and get him to leave or knee him in his most valued area, but that would be too red of a flag for your friends. You take a step closer to him, standing up on your toes as you press a quick peck on his cheek. As you do so, you grab for your bag that he still was holding, your fingers brushing against his.
“Thank you, I’ll see you in the morning?” Haechan looks dumbfounded for a minute, blinking down at you with slightly parted lips. He wasn’t expecting you to actually kiss him, so for you to do so, he was a bit taken aback. “I’ll be here, goodnight babygirl.”
The show Haechan put on caused an uproar within your friend group that lasted just long enough before the three had to go back to their rooms. They were questioning everything from what the hell that was and since when were you babygirl for anyone else, but them. When you finally admitted that he was your (fake) boyfriend, they all congratulated you on your new relationship and only wished they knew about him before.

The next morning went according to your plans you and haechan texted about the night before. He picked you up, parked right in front of your dorm before your class and even stopped by and got you a drink from the Neo cafe. After he dropped you off at your first class, you didn’t see him much till your shared class where he saved you a seat. The two of you went your separate ways after he walked you to your next class and eventually he dropped you off back at your dorm. “The party starts in a few hours so I’ll text you when I’m coming by.” He said, watching as you get out of his car. “Got it, also don’t come in again, you nearly killed my friends with your little stunt you pulled.” This earned a laugh from Haechan as you shut the door and he waited till you were inside before he pulled off.
By the time you got inside your room, all your friends were already sitting on your and wonchae’s beds as they watched a movie on your shared tv. “Oh good, just in time, the movie just started!” Yechae smiled at you as she paused the movie. “Actually, I have plans, I’m so sorry.” A pout forms on your bottom lip in hope they forgive you. “Actually, do you guys wanna come with me? Haechan is taking me to a party and I don’t wanna leave you guys here.” Sin-ra was already jumping off the bed as she went straight to your closet. “A party, fucking bet!” The other three girls join in as they raid Wonchae’s closet and you text Haechan letting him know they’re coming. To your surprise, he responds with ‘the more the merrier ;)’ and you brush off the wink as you try to hide the blush that crept onto your cheeks.
Since there were so many of you and you know already you won’t all fit in Haechan’s car, the girls opt to take Yechae’s car as well and after you all get dressed, you get a text that Haechan was waiting for you out front. “Alright, he’s here, y’all ready?”
“Go ahead and send us the address, we’ll catch up.” Yeongmin gives you a playful push out your door, turning to ask her why before she shuts the door. With that, you go ahead down to his car and open his passenger door. “Hey, the girls are gonna meet us there so can you send me the address really quick?” You haven’t looked at him yet, trying to get your phone out of your pocket. Haechan, on the other hand, couldn’t tear his eyes off of you. You chose to wear an off the shoulder shirt to attempt to blend in paired with some of your nicer jeans and the exposed skin has his heart racing. “Hyuck?” Turning your attention to him, you take in his attire. Leather jacket with a white undershirt and black jeans paired with a black belt. Damn, he actually looked good.
“You look beautiful, y/n.” He sounded like he didn’t mean to say that out loud, his voice barely over a whisper, but that didn’t stop the blood rushing to your cheeks. “Thank you, not too bad yourself.” Haechan’s face was similar to yours, his cheeks a soft shade of pink. Not just from your compliment, but from how effortlessly the forgotten nickname rolled off your tongue. A few minutes felt like forever passed, the two of you staring at each other with something similar in each other's eyes. For Haechan, it looked like a longing feeling swirling around in his eyes while for you, he could see the same little girl you were back when you were kids and he wonders how much time has passed since he’s seen you like this. You’re the first to break contact, looking away awkwardly as you open your phone to Yechae’s messages. “The address?”
“Huh, I’m sorry, what did you ask for?”
“I asked you earlier for the address to the party.”
Haechan’s lips formed an o as he took the phone you handed over for him. He took the phone, this time your fingers just miss each other and you can’t deny you miss the warmth that radiates from him. After he types in the address, he hands over your phone and the two of you drive silently to the party with the music volume on low. It doesn’t take you long to arrive, people coming in and out as he opts to park up front. “Isn’t it illegal to park here, I thought this was for members only?” You’re unbuckling your seatbelt as you look through the window at the Greek letters above. “Not for me it isn’t.”
His words alone leave you slightly confused, but you get out of the car and as he walks on the other side, he has his hand out for you. “What am I supposed to do with that?”
“Grab it, we’re a couple, remember?” Oh yeah, you’re here as his girlfriend. Right. Hesitantly, you take your hand within his and interlock your fingers. You haven’t held his hand since you were kids, but damn did it feel right. His hand, obviously larger now, fits with yours perfectly and you shove down the butterflies that climb up your throat as the two of you go inside. The room was crowded, people everywhere leaving little room to actually get through. Haechan’s grip on your hand tightens as he guides you through the room and you can feel the stares of everyone on you as you two make your entrance. The two of you find your way through the main area and over to a slightly less crowded place where some familiar guys stand around a table playing beer pong.
“I want you to meet some guys.” He says loudly to make sure you can hear him over the music. You simply nod and stand a little closer to him as people walk past you. Haechan calls over a few guys you’ve only seen in passing, one very tall and the other slightly shorter with multi-colored hair. “Johnny, Taeyong, this is my girlfriend y/n, y/n, this is Johnny and Taeyong.” Johnny, the taller one gives you a sweet smile as he grabs your free hand and brings it to his lips. “Pleasure to meet you.” Taeyong laughs as he pats the others back. “Watch it, Haechan is giving you the death glare.” Haechan drops your hand as you shyly smile, wrapping his arm around your waist and resting his hand firmly on your hip. “It’s nice to finally meet you y/n.”
“You’ve heard of me before?”
Taeyong and Johnny exchange looks as they smirk. Haechan on the other hand turns his head as he begins to blush. “Lover boy over here talked about you nonstop when we first met him, i was starting to believe you weren’t real until he told us he finally asked you out.” Taeyong’s words came to you as a shock, not believing Haechan had talked about you to anyone before. “Believe me, he’s definitely down bad for you. You got a good one, Haechan.”
“I know.” He replies with a wide smile as you turn to face him, you’re definitely going to question him on this later. “We’re gonna go get a drink, I’ll catch up with y’all later.” His hand leaves your hip, immediately intertwining his fingers with yours as he gives both boys a hug. You wave them goodbye before Haechan leads you two into the kitchen. “Want anything?” He asks, looking over the table with a variety of alcoholic drinks. “I’ll take some water, I’m not sure if I wanna drink tonight.” He simply nods, respecting your choice as he himself grabs a beer. Just as you’re about to leave, you and haechan turn to see a girl walking in with her arm wrapped around the guy she was with.
“Haechanie, I didn’t know you were coming!”
Judging by how tense Haechan felt beside you, you can only assume that this was his ex, Bomi. “Uh, yeah, I didn’t think you’d be here either.” His tone was flat, but his face was mixed with pain and uninterest. “Yeah, I came with Kai, Kai this is Haechan.” Her smile was fake, even you could see that and the guy she was holding onto gave one similar as he replied with a hey. “Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t notice you there, and who are you?” Her eyes looked soft, but if you looked any closer you could see the burning flame behind that glossy coat. Her lips were turned upward into a smile, but you knew she was lying between her teeth to make you seem less important, to make you feel less important.
“I’m y/n, Haechan’s girlfriend.” You said, squeezing his hand in yours. Haechan came back to his senses, looking over at you with a fond smile. You could feel his gaze on you, but you wanted to mess with his ex a little more. “Who are you? I don’t think I caught your name.” Bomi laughed, a little too loud as she threw her head back a bit. “I’m Bomi, Haechanie’s ex.”
“Oh really, never heard of you.” Your lips purse up a little as you look over at Haechan, his eyes softening when yours lock with his. You honestly could get lost in them if you didn’t realize the amount of people who were staring at you right now. Your attention turns back to Bomi and her new arm candy, her cheerful expression now long gone. “Sorry, we were just stopping for a drink, but it was nice to meet you.” And with that, you guide Haechan from the kitchen and maneuver your way around with him in hand till you reach the stairs. Haechan had silently been following you, thoughts swimming around in his head. “You know a room we can go to that’s clean?”
“Moving pretty fast now aren’t we y/n.”
“Oh shut up, just get us somewhere quiet.”
Haechan smirks as he leads the two of you upstairs, going down a hallway till he stopped at a room and pulled his eyes from his pocket. With his free hand, he unlocks the door and walks inside with your hand still in his. “I lock it when I’m out so that no one can do anything unholy to my bed.” His words register in your brain, but you’re too distracted as you look around in the room. There were vinyls plastered onto the walls, wireless headphones sitting carefully on the side table next to his bed. Haechan drops his hand from yours, furrowing his brows at the lack of warmth that reaches his fingertips while opting to sit on the bean bag across from his bed. You sit down on his bed, noticing he too was already sitting.
Patting your thighs, you take a deep breath in to collect your thoughts from all that’s happened since you two got in while Haechan looks deep in his own head. “So, she’s something.” He laughs softly, fiddling with his fingers as he stares into his lap. “Yeah, she is.”
“And you talk about me?”
Leaning back into the bean bag, he looks at you through hooded eyes. “I did when I first got accepted in, they went around asking personal questions as a bonding experience and you were all I really knew so you naturally came to mind.” You’re fighting the frown as you think about how long you two have hated each other, almost forgetting why you two grew apart for so long. “You okay, after seeing her and all?” With his lips pressed together, he simply nods as he closes his eyes. “I’ll have to be, I mean she looked pretty pissed to see you with me, so that’s a step right?”
“Yeah, I guess.” It felt very awkward to be having such a deep conversation with him, but somehow it also felt right. Your silence is interrupted when your phone starts buzzing, pulling it from your pocket and bringing it to your ear to answer it. “Hello?”
“Hey, we’re here, where are you guys?” Yeongmin called you, you assumed from downstairs as you can hear the faint music through one ear and the louder music through the phone in the other. You mouth to haechan that they were downstairs and ended the call telling her you were on your way. The two of you interlock your hands before going back downstairs, looking for the girls within the crowd. From the staircase, you can barely see them on the dance floor and you signal to haechan to follow you. As you make your way through the sea of bodies against bodies, you see your friends laughing and holding hands as they dance together.
“This is so much fun!” Wonchae smiled at you as she and Yechae held each other close. “If you have any more parties, invite us again!” Yeongmin and Sin-ra smiled at you and haechan, giggling to each other as their favorite song was blasting from the speakers. Haechan drops his hand, turning you around with his hands on your hips. He leans in as he pulls you against him, his lips brushing the shell of your ear. “Wanna dance?” There’s a faint blush on your cheeks as you simply nod, hesitantly wrapping your arms around his neck. The two of you fall into a rhythm and sway with each other for what feels like hours. After dancing for so long, you’re starting to feel the effects of the night and tell Haechan you’re ready to go home.
You lost the girls way earlier before you decided to leave, sending them a text to tell you when they make it in. Haechan leads you outside, the wind blowing slightly as you two step out of the party. You shiver slightly, rubbing your arms as you walk over to his car. Haechan notices the goosebumps on your skin, immediately taking his jacket off and throwing it over your shoulders. “You’re gonna catch a cold, take it back.” As you’re protesting, he simply shakes his head. “I’m alright for now, just keep it on so you won’t catch a cold.” The warmth of the leather silences you, walking around the front of his car and resting against the top as he stands in front of you.
“Did you at least have fun?”
“For my first college party, yeah I had fun.”
Haechan gasps as you look at him confused. “This was your first party?” You simply nod, chewing on your bottom lip before laughing softly. “As you can tell from my friends, we don’t get out much and the only other person i talk to is Mark.” Haechan steps closer to you, losing in the distance as he tilts your head towards him with his finger. “Let me at least make it memorable.” Your face is bright red as he leans in, pressing his lips against yours. You stay still, afraid that if you move, he’ll move and you hate to admit to yourself that you don’t want to move. His lips were soft against yours as he tilted his head to deepen the kiss. Your hands reach out for him, gripping the fabric of his shirt while his hand moves from your chin to cup the side of your cheek.
Haechan was the first to break contact, pulling back as he looked down at you. “How was that for a first college party?” You shake your head, letting go of his shirt to give him a slight shove. “Take me home, idiot.” He laughs as you stand from the hood of his car and the two of you get in, driving around to your hall before you go your separate ways.

The next few weeks go by smoothly, you and haechan seem to be fooling everyone with your physical touch and playful banter when you’re out together. He sits with you when you two go to the cafeteria, eating meals together during your breaks between classes. He’ll meet you at the neo cafe and order your drink for you before you arrive and if you’re tutoring Jaemin, he’ll bring you your drink and sit with you till you’re done. He’s made it a habit to bring you to Taco Bell after your tutoring sessions are over and you two even spend time in the library working on your project, but haechan doesn’t get much work done before he’s bugging you for attention. After all these years, you almost forgot how touchy he is, always grabbing your hand or resting his head on your shoulder and vice versa. The two of you have everyone fooled, even Mark.
“I still can’t wrap my head around you and haechan, I mean one day you were seconds away from ripping his throat out and now you’re giggling at his texts.”
You sheepishly smile as the two of you walk back to his dorm, holding your bag in your hand as you think how much has changed between you and Haechan. Even when you’re alone, he acts no different. He still grabs your hand, plays with your hair, complements you every morning and smiles at you as if every day was the first day you saw each other. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t feel any different towards him, but you always push those feelings down and remember how you got here. He wants her back, he doesn’t want you, and every time you think of them two wrapped up in each other's arms like how he does with you, it hurts a little more than it should.
“I guess people change, I mean we were friends for a while when we were kids, that played into it too.” You were being truthful, reminiscing on the crush you had on Haechan growing up. Never in a million years would you have told him that, but in a way you also never were given the chance to. Now, here you are with those same harbored feelings and still don’t have a clue with what to do with them. After this is all over, he’ll leave your life once again and you’ll be left to fill the void that no one has ever come close to when it comes to him. “Yeah, I’m just saying, it’s a little weird to me, but I’m happy that you’re happy.” You give Mark a playful shove as you two walk inside his hall and go up to his room. You and Mark haven’t had much time together since you and Haechan started ‘dating’ and today was one of the days you two planned on studying in silence till you both grew bored and ended up listening to music.
“What’s on the agenda today? I got a psych essay to get out of the way.”
“I have some more lab work to go over, but I’m essay free.”
Mark opens his door for you and follows behind as you set your bag down beside his desk. The two of you go about doing your work as your phone starts to buzz on the desktop. Picking it up, you see you have missed texts from Haechan and a few missed calls. Just as you’re about to call him back, his name pops across your screen. Swiping across your phone, you bring it to your ear. “Hey, I’m so sorry my phone was on silent and I just now—“
“Where are you? I’ve been waiting for you by your last class for hours.”
Judging by his tone, he seems annoyed. You felt guilty, forgetting to text him before you met up with Mark to let him know of your plans. “I’m so sorry, Mark and I met up and were studying in his room.” Haechan scoffs, rolling his eyes if you could see him. “I’m on my way, meet me in the car.” With that, he hung up as you let out a sigh. “Who was that?” You’re packing up your bags as you look over at the window. It’s raining outside and it doesn’t look like it’ll be letting up anytime soon. “Haechan, he called and wanted me to meet him outside, i kinda forgot to tell him I was coming with you and he’s kinda upset.” Mark gave you an apologetic smile to which you returned. “Be careful out there and don’t worry, I doubt he’s that mad, okay?”
You simply nod and bid him a goodbye before leaving his room and heading downstairs. When you go out the front doors, Haechan is already parked out front and you hold your bag to your chest to protect it from getting soaked as you run down to his car and quickly get inside. Haechan was gripping the wheel as he stared down at his lap, not looking your way once as you shut the door as you got in and placed your bag between your legs rather than in the back seat. “You okay hyuck?”
Haechan was quiet, you knew he was upset, but you’re starting to think there were underlying reasons as to why. “Why didn’t you tell me you were with Mark.” You bite your lip, furrowing your brows as you reach over to touch him. “I said i was sorry, it completely slipped my mind and I didn’t mean to not tell you, he just asked me if we could hang out since we haven’t recently.”
“How hard is it to send a simple text, y/n?” He definitely was pissed, his knuckles turning an off shade of white with how tight he was gripping the wheel. “Why are you so mad, you know Mark, it wasn’t like I was out with someone random?”
“I’m pissed because I had someone come up to me asking why my girlfriend was walking off giggling with some guy, you ever think of that?”
He’s unbelievable, he’s literally unbelievable. The nagging feeling that this whole situation wasn’t going to end well resurfaces without hesitation, leaving you with a sense of deja vu. “Fake girlfriend, did you forget that?” Haechan laughs, not a genuine laugh, but a laugh that almost felt forced. “You’re right, how could I forget, I mean you’ve done it before so I’m not surprised you’re doing it again.”
“Doing what exactly, donghyuck.”
“Stealing Mark away, taking all of his precious time and acting as if I don’t exist.” His words hit you hard, bringing you back to the day you two first parted ways. When Haechan first introduced you and Mark, there was no doubt in his mind that you two would get along and he was looking forward to spending his days with both of his closest friends, but even at such a young age, jealousy got the best of him. Upon meeting, you and Mark clicked as if you were meant to be friends, talking and laughing together while Haechan stood silently and felt lonely. He didn’t like how quickly you got along with Mark, he didn’t like how much he hated bringing you two together, he especially didn’t like how much resentment he felt towards you even if he didn’t know what he was feeling.
He told you he hated you that day, out of anger and hurt. Not once did he mean it, in fact there were so many times he had wished he never said it and turned the clocks back to keep him from hurting you so badly. The damage had already been done, tears falling down your young cheeks when he told you he had never wanted to be your friend again. You were confused, hurt and overall overwhelmed with the events that happened that day, but you turned your sadness into the same hatred he said he had for you and from then, the two of you never had a nice thing to say about one another. Now here you were, sitting in his car with the hopes of you two finally making progress gone.
“I don’t steal his time, he gives it to me, but you wouldn’t know that because you force people to be around you.” You didn’t mean it, you didn’t even want to say it, but haechan was prideful and used his words to hurt others when he was hurting and you weren’t going to let him win again. “Did you forget that I’m your first actual boyfriend and I’m not even dating you, it’s kind of pathetic you had to get a fake boyfriend to even know what it’s like to have one.” You didn’t realize when you started crying or why you were crying in the first place. Maybe it was because you were angry, angry that he was angry at you over something so little and so stupid. Maybe it was because he hurt you and continues to hurt you over and over and the lines between what was real and what was fake have been blurred.
“Fuck you haechan, I mean honestly, I thought maybe you’d change, maybe the boy i knew then was still there.” He still wasn’t looking at you, he couldn’t bring himself to meet your eyes and see the damage he’s done. “Maybe you didn’t know me at all.” He knew it before you said it, that everything the two of you had been building up to for nearly a month was all over. He didn’t want to believe till you said it, but deep down he knew. “Fuck this, fuck your stupid little plan to get your shitty ex back and fuck you.”
With that, you grabbed your bag and got out of his car, leaving Haechan with his thoughts and the tears that slid down his cheeks as he watched you walk away. Part of you wanted to go back inside to Mark’s room, but that would mean you’d have to explain everything and that was all too much for you to unpack right now. Instead, you walked back to your hall, soaking from head to toe by the time you made it to your room. Wonchae was sitting in her bed when you came in, immediately questioning you why you were soaking wet, but when she realized you were crying, she took you into her arms and held you till you settled down.
That night all the girls came over and stayed with you till you cried yourself to sleep. You had come clean to them all, telling them about the pretend dating to help him get his ex back all the way to your childhood with Haechan and even the fallout of your friendship. You even told them about the feelings you were harboring, sobbing through your broken words. They tried to reassure you, telling you that they believed there was something real between you and Haechan, but you couldn’t bring yourself to believe them, not after what you just went through with him. Thankfully for you, it was a weekend and you didn’t have classes till the following Monday and that meant you didn’t have to try and avoid him as much as possible.
By the beginning of the week, you do your best to dodge him in any way. You stopped going to the Neo cafe for the first week, Sin-ra taking the initiative to bring you your drink every morning before your first class. In the class you shared with him, at first you’d sit in the very back to avoid being near him and people quickly took notice. It wasn’t long before whispers started going around that you two had broken up and Mark was a part of some of the rumors. When he got wind of everything, you told him the same thing you told your friends and he apologized to you for everything. After so many years, he finally knew why you and Haechan stopped being friends and he felt responsible for that, but you reassured him that there was nothing he could’ve done then or now.
It was nearing your last week for your project and you’re sitting in your shared class with Haechan who was nowhere to be seen. As you’re leaving when the professor tells everyone class was dismissed, your professor stops you and asks you to stay behind. “I wanted you to know that Donghyuck already submitted his portion of the project, so I’ll only need the remaining 25% from you.” You’re confused and it’s evident on your face as you grip the bag over your shoulder. “I’m sorry, but we agreed to split it down the middle, what did he submit already?”
“Are you sure? He emailed me this morning and submitted the essay portion and said you’d do the final draft on the slide presentation. Get with him and let me know before the deadline.” You simply nod and bid him a farewell as you leave your last class for the day. There are so many thoughts in your head as you pull your phone from your pocket and just as you’re about to text Haechan, you bump into someone on your way out. “Oh I’m so sorry.”
“Oh, I’m so—y/n?”
When you look up from your phone, you see Johnny standing in front of you. He was a little taken aback to see you, but still happy that he ran into you. “Oh hey, what’s up?” The two of you make small talk as you stand outside the building, chatting about the little things in life. “Oh before I forget, you’re coming to the party tonight right?” You’re unsure what to tell him, your silence leaving open room to answer. “It’s okay if you can’t make it, Haechan said you two were working on a big project so I get why you haven’t been around, but if you come tonight we’d be happy to have you.” Hearing Haechan’s name felt almost foreign, having neither your friends or Mark even uttering his name over these last few weeks. “I’ll see if i can make it.” Johnny gives you a genuine smile before heading off and you two go your own ways. When you make it back to your hall, Wonchae and Yechae are sitting on Wonchae’s bed as they watch a movie on her laptop.
“Wanna watch the movie with us, I can put it on the tv?” You smile at Yechae’s offer, but simply shake your head. “I’m gonna go to sleep instead, thank you though.” You slip underneath your blanket and lay in bed till your eyes get too heavy to keep open anymore. You’re not sure what time it was when your phone starts going off, waking you from your peaceful sleep. Your fumble as you sit up in bed, grabbing your phone from your side table. Through tired eyes, you see an unknown number calling you and hesitantly, you slide across your phone to answer. “Hello?”
“Y/n, we need you here! Haechan is whining for you.” You recognize Johnny’s voice, the mention of Haechan’s name sending a rush of adrenaline through your body. “Where is he?” You try to be as quiet as you can, looking over at Wonchae and Yechae cuddling silently in her bed. “He’s upstairs, I kind of lost him when I was busy cleaning up his puke, but I managed to snatch his phone before he disappeared to call you.” With a heavy sigh, you climb out of bed and throw on a sweatshirt before telling Johnny you’re on your way. Without a car, you’d have to walk all the way to the frat house where the party was thrown, but it’d take too long for you to get there so you opt to run instead as you mentally thank yourself for taking track one year in high school.
As you’re reaching the doors to the house, you’re panting and out of breath while dragging yourself inside. Pretty much everyone was gone and the scattered cups on the ground gave you an idea of how the night went. Johnny was crouched down picking things up off the floor when you walked in, looking your way as you tried to catch your breath. “Oh hey y/n, you okay? You look kind of..sweaty.” You shook your head as your hands rested on your hips, taking in slow deep breaths to steady your breathing. “Where is he?” You were here to find Haechan, as much as you wanted to make small talk with Johnny, you were too tired to even try. “Check his room, Taeyong should still be up there with him.” Nodding, you drag your feet towards the staircase and tiredly make your way to the top. Going solely off memory, you walk down the hallway till you’re standing in front of Haechan’s room. From inside, you can hear faint crying and Taeyong’s voice.
Pushing the door open gently, you see Haechan sitting on his bed with a cup of water in his hand while Taeyong is sitting beside him. When he noticed your entrance, Taeyong stood up from the bed and silently walked towards you. He placed his hand gently on your shoulder before walking out of the room and shutting the door behind him. You stood in the middle of the room, staring at the boy who was silently sniffling as he stared down at his cup in his hand. “Do you have your keys, I can bring you to your room if you do.” He simply shook his head, gripping the cup in his hand. A sigh left your lips as you turned to his closet, rummaging through his clothes. “W-what are you doing?” You pull a shirt off a hanger, walking over to him. “You can’t sleep in that, it has liquids on it.” Haechan stays still, as if he was frozen in time. His body shook slightly every time he hiccuped, but he didn’t bother moving.
“Get changed please, I’ll leave so you can—“
“Please don’t leave me.”
You’re biting your bottom lip as you see his head rise, meeting his swollen and teary eyes. “Just for tonight, I just need you tonight.” He looked so sad, tears dried on his cheeks as he fought back the tears. You should’ve left, hell you shouldn’t have even come, but you needed to make sure he was okay and from the looks of it, he was far from it. “I’ll turn around, but you need to get out of your clothes and into something to sleep in.” Silently, he stands from his bed and sets the cup on his desktop. You handed him the shirt you grabbed from his closet, walking towards the door and facing away so that he could get dressed. After a few minutes pass, Haechan tells you he’s done and you turn around to him laying in his bed on one side, leaving space for you on the other.
Walking over after turning off the light, you pull back the blanket and slide into the space he’s left you. The two of you lay in silence, the moonlight shining through the cracks of his window cover. “I’m sorry.” Haechan’s voice was barely over a whisper, but neither of you could bring it to look at each other. “You’re drunk, you don’t even know what you’re apologizing for.” You could feel how tense he was beside you, if you reached out to him you were afraid he’d fall apart. “I’m sober enough to know what I'm saying and I need you to believe me on that.” You shift onto your side, tucking your underneath his pillow as your eyes fall to the side of his face. He can feel your gaze on him, waiting for him to continue. “I didn’t mean anything I said that day, even back when we were kids.
“I was jealous of your friendship with Mark, in a way I still am because he’s been by your side this whole time and because of my insecurities, I missed all of that.” You knew he had a hard time believing in people after he had been let down many times before, you understood where he was coming from, but that doesn’t justify his actions. “I’m sorry you had to come out here at this hour, I don’t remember much of what I said to the boys, but it was enough for them to call you and for that, i'm sorry for wasting your time.”
The light coming from his window was just enough for you to see the tear that slid from his eye down the side of his face. “Was she here tonight?” You knew it was none of your business, you had no right to be asking him this, but part of you needed to know. “Yeah.”
“Did you guys get back together, I mean that was the whole point of this right?”
Haechan turns on his side to face you, tucking his arm underneath his head to prop himself up to your eye level. “She tried, but I told her it was over when she left me for that guy.” You’re a bit taken aback, why did he turn her down? What was the point of all of this if it was not for him to win her back. “Why, didn’t you want her back?” Haechan’s eyes locked with yours, searching them for something to give him the confidence to go on. He could see it in your eyes, but for so long he had been too scared to ruin what you two were building. “Spending this time with you blurred everything around me y/n, she was what I thought I wanted, but it wasn’t till I lost you that I knew what I needed instead.”
You felt speechless, staring at him with parted lips. He had just confessed that you were what he wanted and that alone made your head feel dizzy. Now lies the difficult decision, to lie and pretend you don’t feel anything to protect yourself or run to him and trust that he’ll protect you instead and all the love you have in your heart for him. “Say something please.” Hesitantly, you bring a hand up to his face, brushing his hair back to get the best view of him as possible. “Looks like we have a problem.”
“And that is?”
“I broke one of the two rules we made, well technically I broke them both but the first rule was broken after you were an asshole.” Haechan sat up, propping himself on his elbow as he stared down at you. “Does that mean I can kiss you?” A smile spreads across his lips as he watches the light reflect in your eyes. You give him a nod, all the confirmation he needed to lean down and capture your lips within his. The kiss felt familiar, like he had done this a million times before. Your arm wraps around his neck, pulling him close to you as you tilted your head to deepen the kiss. The two of you healed a part of you that was long overdue, the two best friends within you now reunited. Now that you’re older, you not only have your best friend back, but the young boy you loved is too there beside you.

hi just popping in…. what would papa!simon react when nova’s in her tweens/teens and some boys are trying to get her attention/court her… she doesn’t necessarily have to feel the same way and just talks about it casually over dinner or “oh __ got this for me” and simon is just like. Who . IDK what are Your Thots On That…
Novalynn's preteen era!!! also I'm back home so keep the asks coming 😏
"Maybe we should pull these pieces back," You say grabbing the curly strands that sat before your daughters face, You grab the slicking brush and put some on top of her hair slicking it down with one quick motion. Her baby blue dress complementing her skin. "That looks better," She says putting her earrings on. "I think so too."
You could hear Simons loud footsteps coming down the stairs, "Who's the new girl," He jokes, Nova rolls her eyes hiding her embarrassment.
"Stop," She mumbles, adding her bracelets. "Spring formal ready," You say putting the gold butterfly clip in her hair. "You get asked Novie?" Simon says, dumping the handful of granola in his mouth.
She shrugs, "What does that mean?" He cocks a brow playfully, "Ooh," you instigate, handing her the bottle of lotion. "Just some dude from class." She shrugs again, "A boy?" He yells, You shush him, chuckling at his drama. "You'll live." You pat his chest while walking past him.
You grab your keys and watch her shive her foot in her patent MaryJanes, wincing a bit when she creases them. "You joining us?" You ask, watching Simon watch Nova.
-
Simon sat in the passengers seat, Novalynn in the background arguing with her Dad, "Dad, Stop!" She says getting frustrated, "Don't let him High five you!" He scolds, turning half his body towards the backseat. You pull into the schools drive way, Simon eyeing all of the children waiting to enter the schools gym.
"Which one is he?" Simon teases, "Mom," She whines, "Simon," You chuckle at him, "I need to know," he says rolling down the window, "This is so embarrassing." She slouches in her seat, You roll his window up from your side. "What?" He says confused, "Leave her." you say, obviously picking up on her feelings. Simon sits back in his chair. You settle in a parking space. "Do you want me to walk you in?" Simon immediately offers. She shakes her head no, "Can Mom?"
"Sure!" you say enthusiastically. You both get out of the car, "You still have your ticket?" you ask, fixing the skirt of her dress, "Yeah." she says fixing her bracelets, "I bought you some things," You reach into your bag pulling out clear mascara, some lipgloss and blush.
Her brown eyes light up at the sight of her new makeup, "Come here," you say then place a little bit of blush on her round cheeks, letting her do her mascara and lipgloss.
When you finally get to the door, you see her wave to the boy that asked her. You hold in your aw's and check her in, signing the sheet paper. You give her a kiss on the cheek and watch her walk in with him.
You scurry back to the car, Simon in the driver's seat. Simon looks up from his phone seeing a very giddy you, "They are the cutest." You say as soon as you open the door, "They look so cute!" You gush. Simon shakes his head, and drives back home.
You both sit in the living room waiting for the time to pass, "This is weird." Simon says aloud, "What's weird?" You yawn, "Our baby is at a school dance."
"Yup." you nod, "Im in disbelief." He says, "I can tell." you mumble, "Wait till the boys get to her age, that'll be fun." You chuckle.
"I wonder if she wants to come home?"
"She doesn't, Simon."

Paul Aron x Fem!Reader Paul is sometimes shy about asking to touch you. He just wants to make sure he never assumes consent.
Warning: One (1) word in Estonian idk I tried. Mentions (and innocent touching) of boobies *gasp*
1.1k words hihihi
Tumblr media
“Kallis?” [Sweetheart?]
You lifted your head from the class notes in front of you to see your boyfriend, Paul, standing at the door of your home office. He looked nervous, as if he wasn’t sure if he was allowed to be in the room.
“Paul? Did you need something?” You hoped that softening your voice would help him not be as nervous. Having been dating for just over half a year, you were quickly becoming aware of some of his ‘tells’. Things like how his nostrils would flare a little if he wanted to laugh but thought it’d be inappropriate. Or how he would be extra nervous when he wanted to ask you something because he didn’t want to worry you with things while you were doing your coursework for uni.
“I uh, I can come back later if you’re busy. It wasn’t really important.” Paul stammered a little as he answered you. It intrigued you immensely when Paul got shy, because it was such a difference to his very outgoing personality when he’s around his friends and teammates.
“Please tell me what’s wrong? I promise you’re not disturbing or interrupting me.” You held your hand out towards him, inviting him to walk further into the room. He was careful as he walked towards you, like he didn’t want to disturb the research papers you had on the desk. You stood up as he reached you and lifted a hand to caress his face.
“What did you need of me, My Love?” You kept your voice soft and your touch gentle.
Paul lifted a hand and gripped your hand that was cradling his face. “I just- I really missed you.”
A smile found its way onto your face. You finally realised that he was nervous because he wanted to be around you but didn’t want to distract you from your studies. Gently, you guided him to sit in the chair you were just in. Paul tried to protest that it was your chair and that he could find another one to sit on but you were having none of it. You sat down on his lap and told him that this way you could get some of your work done while still being around him. He settled pretty quickly after that.
Admittedly it did take you a while to notice that Paul hadn’t moved his arms from the armrests of your chair,. So when you did notice, you were just a little confused.
“Are you alright Darling?” You asked over your shoulder.
“Uh huh.” He replied.
“Are you sure? Because you haven’t moved your arms from the chair once.” You turned as much as you could to look at him face to face. His face was flushed a light pink colour as you twisted around on his lap.
“I just wasn’t sure if you wanted me to touch you.”
“Why would you think that?” You watched as his face slowly became more and more red.
“I don’t think you ever said if you were okay with it and I didn't want to just assume that it would be alright to.” He moved his eyes away from yours. “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
Barely stopping yourself from cooing at his adorably red cheeks, you twisted back around and leant back so you were resting on his torso. Grabbing both of his hands, you moved them to hug you around your midriff. Adjusting your head to look at his face, you whispered and peppered kisses to the underside of his jaw.
“I don’t think it’s possible for me to be uncomfortable when you touch me. You're always so careful and gentle. If anything I want you to touch me more.”
“But what if I accidentally overstep?”
“I will tell you. But for now I want you to do something for me.”
“Anything.” He left a shy, barely-even-there kiss behind your ear.
“I want you to hold my boobs.”
Paul was stunned into silence. Had he heard you correctly? You wanted him to do what?
“You- Me- What?” He couldn’t get the words to exit his mouth.
“I want you to hold my boobs. For two reasons. One, to prove that I trust you to touch me and be more casually intimate, and two, because believe it or not I actually find it very comforting. However, I need both my hands to finish typing up my class notes, which means I can’t hold them myself.” You placed a kiss on his jawline before sitting up a little so you could finish typing your notes. You felt as Paul also sat up a bit, presumably to keep the contact between your back and his chest.
Just before you were about to set in and start on finishing your notes, Paul’s hands began playing with the hem of your shirt.
“Can I lift it Kallis?” He whispered.
“Of course you can My Love. You can do whatever you need, to make it easier if you’d like.”
“Thank you.” He said, nuzzling his face into the back of your neck and leaving little feather-light kisses. His hands moved underneath your shirt and shyly travelled up your body before resting briefly at the apex of your breasts. Seeing as you had given him verbal permission, Paul decided he could easier grab hold of your breasts without your bra in the way.
You hummed in acknowledgement when he mumbled that he was going to unhook the offending item of your clothing, focusing as much as you could on your notes. You knew that as much as the skin on skin contact was comforting for you, it was also incredibly important for Paul because it allowed him to test how far he was willing to go. He could set the pace knowing that if he accidentally took it too far, he could rely on you to tell him when to stop.
You sat there on his lap for roughly 2 hours, Paul’s chin resting on your shoulder. Every now and then, Paul would give your breasts a gentle squeeze, making sure not to be too harsh. Occasionally, when you finished a paragraph of notes, you would give Paul a peck on the nose, his smile making your own smile grow with each kiss.
Neither you nor Paul moved once you were done, except to lean a bit further back in the chair to be a little more comfortable. You were far too engrossed with the feeling of each other to even briefly entertain the idea of moving from where you sat. Too wrapped up in the love you had for each other.
It was Paul who eventually whispered to you, breaking the silence.
“Can I do this again tomorrow?”
You huffed out a tiny laugh, reaching up to run your fingers through his hair as best you could.
“Oh my sweet boy, you don’t even have to ask.”

can i pls request something abt xavier and op who can see people's auras?? like shes new to nevermore and sees everyone's auras changing according to their humor but she just?? cant see xavier's and that bothers her, so she tries to get emotions from him, anger, happiness yk, then idk maybe they go to the raven together and at the end of the night when they finally kiss she can see a bright pink aura around him :]] or whatever way you feel like writing it (you can write reader as GN if you want as well!)
i don’t get it?
pairings: xavier thorpe x reader
summary: you saw everyone’s auras except xavier’s, who knew a kiss could change it
warnings: reader is an asshole, swearing, idk i think thats it
a/n: im sorry this was really shitty, i am more focused on school mostly rn, and this is NOT PROOFREAD, REBLOGS HELP A LOT!
Tumblr media
nevermore.
at first you thought you were gonna be an ‘outcast’ at an outcast school, but you made a couple friends, enid, her aura was a bright yellow, probably because she’s always smiling and full of joy, and wednesday who had black, ‘cause she was so mysterious, and had strength. you could see all of your friend’s auras except for xavier, the guy you like, of course it has to be the guy you like.
you were at the quad with ajax, so you told him about it for some help, maybe he knows what to do.
“i just can’t see his aura! and, of course i have to have a crush on him, for god’s sake!” you whined
“maybe, try getting some emotions out, make him happy, sad, whatever” the gorgon said
“thats a great idea, ajax! i owe you for this one!” you say
“y/n- please, don’t go too far on him- hes kinda a sensitive kind of guy, okay?” he says worried
“i’ll try, i’ll make sure hes okay” you gave him a smile as you left the quad
“goodluck!” he screamed
you decided to make xavier happy, the easiest one first so you couldn’t cause any harm, so you decided to do one of his favorite things he does with you, the carnival. good thing it was a friday, so no school tomorrow which is perfect.
Tumblr media
classes were finally over, so you could finally try to find xavier.
you ran to him when you saw him in one of the hallways, “xavier! hi! do you maybe wanna do something tonight?” you say
“sure! what do you think we should do?” he looked down at you
“wanna go to the carnival, maybe?” you smiled
“okay then, it’s settled! be there at 6:30 sharp, y/n” he gave you a big smile and patted your head
“see you there, xav!” you walked away and blushed because he patted your head, you kinda felt bad you were kinda forcing him to show emotions.
-
you were scrolling through social media while in bed, seeing your friend’s posts and enid’s new gossip about the school, until you checked the time, it was 5:24PM, so you decided to get ready for your plans with xavier.
you decided to wear pants with a chase atlantic shirt, and you brought a jacket just in case.
“oh my god! y/n, do u have a date?!” enid, your roommate squealed out of excitement
“it’s not a date, idiot, im just hanging out with xavier at a carnival” you say
“just admit it, it is kinda a date, y/n” she smiled
“well i guess- but it’s like a friends kind of date?” you say
“whatever you say, y/n” the werewolf gave you a wink
you rolled your eyes and looked at the time, 5:59PM and decided to text xavier
y/n: hey, is it ok if i come right now? im a bit too early
xavier: uh yeah sure, meet me by the ferris wheel
at the carnival
you walked up to xavier, “hi! what do you wanna do first?” you gave him a smile
“photobooth?” he questioned
“yes!”
you two walked in the photobooth, getting ready for the camera, you both did some funny poses and one where he was looking at you but you were too busy posing to even notice he was looking at you
you guys walked out and grabbed your photos, and saw that he was looking at you in one of the photos, you smiled.
“we look so cool!” you say
“wanna do balloon darts?” he asked
“okay!” you gave him a slight smile
-
you kept missing every dart and it was getting kind of annoying.
“idiot, let me help you” the blonde boy said and grabbed darts
he popped almost every one of the balloons and won a stuffed bear for you.
“thank you” you say.
Tumblr media
it was the next day after u hung out with xavier, and you still didn’t see his aura that time. you sighed and saw ajax come up to you.
“anything yet?” he asked
“no, i tried making him happy by hanging out with him” you whined as you covered your face with your hands
“maybe you just need to kiss him” ajax teased
“shut up!” you whispered as you hit him lightly on the hand
“speak of the devil” he gave you a mischievous smirk and walked away when he saw xavier walking your way
“what-“ you got cut off by a tall boy behind you
“y/n! last night was fun, do you maybe wanna go to the weathervane today? we could study there, or i could go on my own?” he gave you a light smile
you wanted to say yes so bad, but you decided to make him jealous today, or mad.
“uh, sorry, no. i have a date with tyler today, maybe tomorrow?” you say nervously
his smile faded when he heard you say the last part, he didn’t really have a good relationship with tyler.
“right, have fun, y/n.” he says and walked away from you
did you go too far? you sighed.
but he mentioned about going to the cafe on his own, and tyler was there. so you decided to go there aswell to meet up with tyler.
at the weathervane
you saw xavier sitting in one of the booths and walked past him as you felt his eyes on you.
you rang the bell and waved to tyler and hugged him.
“hi tyler!” you say energetically
“hi, y/nn!” he says
you could see xavier fuming at your peripheral vision, perfect. but you still couldn’t feel his aura. you looked over to xavier’s booth and saw that he was gone. i guess it really affected him.
2 weeks later
it was 2 weeks after the whole weathervane thing, you didn’t really talk to xavier much because of his jealousy and if you were being honest, you kinda regretted getting xavier’s emotions out of him just so that you can see his aura.
tomorrow was the rave’n, so you and your friends went shopping for your outfits.
you already got yours, but you were missing one thing, a date. you wished xavier was your date right now. but it was not possible. so you just decided to go solo.
-
it was the next day and it was 7:30PM, the rave’n starts at 8 o’clock so you decided to dress up in your outfit already. you met up with your friends downstairs.
“lets go!” enid squealed
you all walked down the stairs and you could feel everyone staring at you, including xavier.
your friends decided to get drinks and dance. while you just sat there all alone. a slow, romantic song started playing. and everyone and their s/o started to slow dance. you sighed but felt a light tap on your shoulder.
“hey, wanna dance?” xavier gave you a smile and held his hand out.
you grabbed his hand and went to a corner, you placed your hands around his neck as he put his around your waist and you two swayed your hips to the music.
“i’m sorry, i only did the whole tyler shit so i could see your aura ‘cause i couldn’t see it, and also because i liked you.” you say
“you’re an idiot, you know that?” he says chuckling
“your idiot, of course” you smile
he cups your face and leans in to kiss you desperately and you kissed him back. you felt a bright pink aura from him, you smiled against the kiss.

The Other Man
Okay, here's my FIRST FIC in ages. I wrote it in a very specific style bc of the ~vibe~
Hope you like it!
Pairing: Miguel O'Hara x Wife!Reader
Words: 3k
Warnings: smut, established relationship, (idk if there's more pls tell me?)
The love story of Mr. and Mrs. O’Hara
OR
You’re Gabriella’s mother and Miguel’s wife. A few weeks ago, things were a little off with your husband; you wrote it off until now…
Your heart pounded in your chest as you set a timer on your phone and waited. You thought of your darling daughter, and her bubbly, beautiful personality. You thought of your family, and how arguably perfect your life was thanks to your husband’s dedication and tenacity.
You were panicking, on the verge of tears as the timer silently counted down on your phone screen. You thought of your husband. Your real husband.
13yearsago
Miguel was the first person you’d met at your college orientation. A tall lanky kid who stepped onto the campus tour bus at the last minute and had nowhere to sit but next to you. You felt yourself fall for him instantly when his eyes met your own.
You both chatted awkwardly like teenagers do; you mentioned your majors (he was genetics and you were communications), you talked about your high schools, your friends, and anything else your distracted minds could come up with.
You mentioned that science wasn’t your strong suit, and Miguel suggested taking a science class together so he could be your lab partner. You settled on chemistry, and looked forward to starting classes in the fall.
You exchanged numbers and texted through the rest of the summer. By the time the semester started, you were attached at the hip.
The week that you moved into the dorms, he brought you a bouquet of carnations (you were allergic to roses) and asked you to be his girlfriend right in front of everyone. You said yes with bright pink cheeks.
That night, when all the new freshmen were out enjoying welcoming activities, you and Miguel lost your virginities to each other with soft music playing in the background. You’d heard from your friends that the first time was awful, but you two were slow with each other. You knew you’d chosen the right guy, and you couldn’t imagine sharing the experience with anyone else.
It rained on the first day of classes. Torrential downpour, and you walked into the library together soaked and giggling to take a picture in front of your school’s “Welcome Freshmen!” backdrop.
That photo was framed and hanging above your bed like many others you’d taken over the years.
The chemistry class was hard. Your hardest class by far, but Miguel was there with you every week. He came over to your dorm after the lab to explain everything in detail as many times as you needed. He’d stay late and you’d share cheap pizza and watch movies.
Your friends started calling you Mrs. O’Hara long before you were actually married. You two were the one constant couple among them. You and Miguel would go for ice cream with them after every fresh heartbreak. You reminded them that love exists because you two had it. They’d always lick their wounds and get back out there, thanking you both for your encouragement.
When sophomore year rolled around, your parents offered to rent you an apartment. You begged for them to let Miguel live with you (they loved him of course), and, to your surprise, they said yes.
In between classes, you and Miguel lived in domestic bliss. You had no idea that building furniture, grocery shopping late at night, and decorating could be so fun. He made it so much more enjoyable.
You learned so much about him, sometimes swearing that you knew him better than you knew yourself. You loved how his brow twitched in his sleep, and you loved how he was considerate enough to cover your face with the blanket before he turned on the bedroom light. He made your heart melt every single day, and you couldn’t imagine loving someone more.
You stayed up late on Sundays with him and proofread his papers. He was brilliant, but he couldn’t string together a sentence on paper to save his life.
“Do you even know what a comma is!?” You’d asked as you aggressively hit the backspace button on his laptop.
“Do you know what an autosome is?” He replied in a sarcastic voice, ruffling your hair. (he always ruffled your hair.)
You rolled your eyes and finished proofreading his paper. After he submitted it, he closed both of your laptops and bent you over the table. Your pajama pants were around your ankles as you moaned into the cheap veneer.
Miguel fucked you on every surface in that apartment: the shower, bent over the counters and the table, against the wall, on the floor. It was your space together, and he was ready to claim the 600 sqft and your body for himself.
God, you missed that apartment.
A year later, you took your first vacation alone together to Mexico. You’d never been, but he’d gone a few times when he was younger. You felt secure with him as he easily switched between English and Spanish, and you listened intently as he showed you the places that he remembered visiting years prior.
You walked along the beach, hand in hand watching the sunset. He was explaining something about the tides, and you smiled wide at him and then looked at the pinky-purple sky.
When you looked back, he was on one knee with a ring box. You swear your heart stopped for a moment.
“Yes! Are you kidding me!? Yes!” you nearly screeched at the top of your lungs. He swung you around and dipped you into a kiss. It felt like a scene from a movie. (The only thing he hadn’t thought of was a photographer, but some passersby took a few candid photos and sent them to you.)
A year later, you graduated in May and had your wedding in June. The wedding felt like something out of a fairytale.
Your mother had been insistent on every last detail being perfect, and you were so grateful for her meticulousness as you walked down the aisle. The sun was beginning to set as you said your vows, and you nearly died of embarrassment when he tore your garter off with his teeth in front of everyone.
Now, Miguel was your husband.
Your husband whose eyes were brimming with tears as you walked down the aisle.
Your husband who hugged your parents as if they were his own.
Your husband who looked at you as if you hung the moon.
Your husband.
A few months later, you started your first job and Miguel started grad school.
You’d come home in your blazers and slacks and heels, and he’d give you a particular look.
“What are you looking at?” You asked one day while making dinner.
“Nothing, I just think it’s hot that I’m married to a sexy businesswoman,” he grinned.
He especially loved when you wore tights and that little black dress. (He usually tore them off of you when you got home and promised to buy you new ones.)
Six months into your new job, you called in sick.
“Are you alright?” he sat on your side of the bed and pet your hair gently.
“I just feel so nauseous. It must be something I ate. Do you feel nauseous?”
He shook his head. “Do you want me to get you anything? I could stay home from classes to take care of you.”
“No, school is first. I’ll be okay.” you squeezed his hand.
He kissed you on the forehead and left you a glass of water on your nightstand.
After throwing up the contents of your stomach twice over, a thought crossed your mind.
You ran to the store and picked up two pregnancy tests.
You practically ripped them out of their boxes in your bathroom.
You sat and waited, worrying about what your husband would say.
In both of your minds, kids were still years away.
The pink plus signs on both tests brought you to the harsh reality that those plans were no longer relevant.
Your mind flooded with worry. You were a newbie at your job, you hadn’t even been married for a year, Miguel had so much school left.
You spent the afternoon drowning in your anxiety.
“Amor, I brought you that soup that you like.” Miguel called from the living room. He found you in your bedroom with a tear-stained, puffy face. “Hey, what’s wrong?”
You turned around and showed him the tests. “What are we going to do?!” you cried. You searched his face, waiting to see his brow crease with worry just like yours.
Instead, he beamed. His face lit up brighter than the sun, and you felt every awful scenario that you’d tortured yourself with melt away at his excitement. He hugged you without saying a word, one of his amazing bear hugs that he knew always made you feel better. You petted his hair, and you knew everything was going to be just fine.
He pulled back from you and you saw tears sliding down his face. “This is amazing,” he whispered.
You kissed his cheek and hugged him again.
“Yeah, it really is, huh?” you whispered back.
There was no better word for your pregnancy than miserable. Your morning sickness lasted longer than the first trimester, and despite being young, you experienced health issue after health issue.
You were bedridden for the last few months of pregnancy, but your husband made it all better.
Your husband who somehow had boundless energy when you had none. Your husband who nearly tripled his class load to graduate early.
Your husband who held your hair back as you emptied the breakfast he made you into the toilet.
Your husband who put on over 100 pounds of muscle so he could ‘be strong enough for the baby.’
Your husband whom you somehow fell even more in love with, which you didn’t even think was possible.
He received his master’s degree in May. You felt enormous, but you begged him to let you take him out to celebrate.
Your water broke in the restaurant.
He rushed you out, you’re not even sure if you paid for the food. He drove you to the hospital as you squeezed his hand with all your might and swore at him.
After making it to the hospital in record time, your doctors looked at you sympathetically.
Of course, after an extremely rough pregnancy, you were going to have a rough delivery too.
Hours and hours of labor and deliberating. Hours of worry and discontentment. Hours of pain and exhaustion.
Everyone eventually decided that a c-section was the way to go. You stared up at the ceiling as your body was being sliced and poked and prodded, and your husband held your hand and gave you words of encouragement.
A loud cry broke through your anxious thoughts. The entire world stopped.
“Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. O’Hara, it’s a girl; 10 fingers and 10 toes and a great head of hair!” the doctor plopped her on your chest.
In that moment, you three were the only ones in the entire universe. Your baby, your husband, and you. Nothing had ever been more perfect.
Hours later, after you’d gotten some much needed rest and food, you both gazed down at her sleeping face. “We never even had time to talk about names,” Miguel whispered. He ran a gentle finger over her tiny little hand. Your heart swelled for him even more.
“I was thinking…” you started, “Maybe we could name her Gabriella, after your brother?”
You heard him gasp quietly. You began to open your mouth to suggest something else. “It’s perfect. She looks like a Gabriella, don’t you think?” he never took his eyes off of her.
“She looks like an O’Hara,” you chuckled. “Of course, she lived in my body for 9 months and came out looking like you.”
Despite all the trouble she gave you during your pregnancy, Gabriella was such an easy baby. She slept through the night, she was easy to feed, and she was always content to sit with you.
Those first few weeks of parenthood were surreal. You and Miguel would simply stare at her for hours, unsure how you made such a precious, perfect thing. She mesmerized the both of you.
One evening, you were making dinner while Miguel fed her. His phone rang, and you overheard him in the living room.
“Yes, I’d be happy to accept the offer! You have no idea what this means for my family, thank you so much.”
He’d gotten a job at Alchemax. A fancy, well-paying job in his field.
“You know, I’ll be making enough that you can stay home with Gabi if you want,” he said after you’d put her to bed.
“Are you sure you’re okay with that? I can go back to work when my maternity leave is up - my parents offered to watch her during the day.”
He pulled you close, “I want you to get to spend time with our daughter. I want you to raise her, no offense to your parents.”
And so you did.
The time flew by. You two bought a house close to your parents, he bought you a new car for your birthday, and all of the sudden, your daughter was turning one.
Your house was filled with friends from college (many now with their own spouses), relatives, and friends from Miguel’s new job and your old one.
You all watched as Gabriella smashed a white cupcake straight into her thick black hair. You and your husband sat together with your bubbly baby girl and opened present after present, making a mess of the wrapping paper.
Suddenly, time was moving even faster. Preschool, kindergarten, soccer practice, family vacations. Miguel had the biggest soft spot for your daughter.
Watching him be a parent made your heart grow ten times bigger. He woke up before the sun rose every day so he could be home to put her to bed every night.
He read to her, he answered every question she had and never discounted her curiosity.
He made it to every practice and soccer game, and took the whole team out for ice cream periodically.
He let you sleep in late on Sundays and made pancakes and coffee.
He was perfect. There was no other way to describe it.
Suddenly, your daughter was 8 years old. She was constantly outgrowing her clothes, reading voraciously, and performing well in school. Her teachers and coaches praised your parenting to no end. You and Miguel smiled, “She’s just the most amazing kid.”
You felt on top of the moon. You couldn’t believe that you’d stressed so much all those years ago in that little apartment when you’d seen the positive pregnancy test.
Everything seemed right with the world. At least until a few weeks ago.
Your husband wasn’t home yet. You checked your phone incessantly, but you never received a call or text.
You got through bedtime with your daughter. She asked  three different times where her father was.
After she was sound asleep, you began to get worried. You called his phone again and he didn’t answer.
A sickly feeling bubbled in your gut. Not the churning anxiety that you’d felt so many times before, this was different. This felt like intuition. Something was terribly wrong.
You texted everyone you knew asking if they had heard from him. You called the businesses that you thought he could be at. No one. It was like he had fallen off the face of the Earth.
Just after 2am, you considered calling the police. As you began to dial, you heard a key turn in the lock.
He walked in looking disheveled. You ran over to him and jumped into his arms.
“I was so worried! Where were you!?” you squeezed him tight around his neck.
“I’m sorry, we got caught up in a chem testing sequence. I’m not supposed to tell anyone about the project, so that’s why they said I wasn’t there.” He kissed your cheek and squeezed you.
“You smell weird,” you said. He had such a distinct smell, a combination of the laundry detergent you used, his cologne, and his deodorant. He smelled all wrong for some reason.
He looked you in the eyes and smiled. You’d never noticed how his smile was just the slightest bit crooked.
“Let’s take a shower, amor.” He set you back on your feet. “I want to go take a peek at Gabriella, though. I’ll meet you in the bathroom,” he kissed you on the forehead and made his way to her room.
You couldn’t put your finger on it, but something was off about your husband that evening. At first, you blamed his late night. He claimed that his workload in the lab was increasing, but something still didn’t sit quite right with you.
You’d stare at him out of the corner of your eye, not sure what you were hoping to see.
He’d found a new interest in your sex life, as well. He pawed at you in your sleep and pressed your cheek up against the shower door late at night. He seemed like he was learning your body all over again.
In some ways, he was the man you married. He still threw himself into parenting your daughter. He still made it to every soccer practice and game, still read to her every night.
But you knew something was wrong.
Your best guess was that he was cheating, but it seemed so out of character for him. Still, you had nothing else.
He came home late again and found you sitting in the bedroom with your bedside lamp on. “You’re still up?” he asked.
“What the hell is going on with you?” You demanded.
His brows knitted together in a confused look, “What do you mean?”
“Are you cheating on me, Miguel?”
“Amor, I would ne-”
“Then what is it?” Your voice was low with suspicion.
“I don’t know what you mean.” He sat next to you and leaned in close.
“I don’t know what it is, Miguel. But something’s not right. I know you, and I know there’s something you’re not telling me.” You flipped the light off and pulled the covers up.
“I love you, honey. Nothing’s wrong, I promise,” he said in the darkness.
“Whatever, Miguel. I’m going to sleep,” you turned away from him and shut your eyes.
The timer on your phone went off.
You thought again about your husband.
Your husband who brought you roses yesterday.
Your husband who couldn’t remember what size jersey your daughter wears.
Your husband who’d had a vasectomy 5 years ago.
You stared at the positive pregnancy test and sobbed.

In your married life, you never expected to become the kind of couple who hosted dinner parties regularly.
Maybe “regularly” wasn’t the best word for it. It wasn’t as though the two of you hosted these nights every month or anything. Simply put: you learned a couple things in your two years of marriage. One was that several of your grad student husband’s friends were crushed underneath the weight of classes and jobs (you, thankfully, only had a job to worry about). Two was that a few of his friends couldn’t cook to save their lives (Wonwoo and Soonyoung and sometimes Vernon…). And three: you genuinely, truly loved cooking for other people. This one wasn’t exactly new, though. Sure, you loved cooking for your now-husband while the two of you were dating (sometimes he’d help where he could, always in love with the domesticity of it), but you loved cooking for your friends and family, too.
A little over a year ago, you had invited his friends over with this ‘bring a side dish or a dessert, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to’ tacked onto the message. Hell, you’d mentioned that they could bring a lunchbox if they’d like to take leftovers—but they’d have to settle things out themselves. It was during that first night that you really got to listen to a few of them talking about life. You and Seungcheol were pretty lucky to not have to worry too heavily about things, since your job paid pretty damn well and you both also had family to fall back onto. But Joshua had been talking about how he kinda missed being in the U.S. sometimes because his mom only visited so often, and when you heard Seungkwan talk about missing Jeju and his family…
Well. It tugged at your heartstrings enough to ask Seungcheol how he felt about maybe picking a day every few months so that most of his friends could come together for a meal. He’d agreed pretty easily, admitting his own concerns over people like Junhui and Minghao who didn’t have family here. So the two of you started hosting little dinners here and there, always for people who were feeling homesick. Sometimes that would mean Seungkwan would call you up and ask if he could join the two of you sometime, other times it was Jun saying he would come help make dinner and Minghao would bring wine.
Other times were like today: you and Seungcheol waking up early on a day you didn’t have to work, and immediately getting started in the kitchen after you’d had breakfast. This time, Seungcheol would have to stop helping in order to study for a bit since he had a test tomorrow morning in one of his classes, but that was fine. It was the prepwork that was the most hell, in your opinion: endless chopping and whatnot.
You couldn’t help but admire him now. He was standing near the fridge, glasses sliding down his nose as he studied a recipe book, hair half-pulled up. Sometimes you thought that you would marry him again if he asked you, no matter how silly that would be.
“You’re staring again,” he hummed, smiling.
“I’m admiring, thank you.”
He chuckled, turning to kiss you as you came closer. “I’m doing the math in my head,” he said, turning back to the book. “I might have to run to the store for more of this…” He tapped at something on the page, although you didn’t really care to look. You were still admiring him. He noticed a second later, and smiled into another soft kiss. “I hate that you’ll have to do the majority of the work this time…”
“I don’t mind,” you said. “I care about you and your friends. You can’t help that you need to study,” you wrapped your arms around his shoulders. “You’re almost done, y’know?”
“I know,” he said, dragging out the word. His arms wrapped around your waist, drawing you in closer. “But you already do a lot for me. Other people would be annoyed—”
“And other people aren’t me, so I don’t care. You’re studying hard to get farther,” you said. “I wouldn’t have married you if I didn’t support you.”
He smiled again, a charming look in his eyes as he gazed at you. Seungcheol was always so soft when he was near you, to the point where the tender look on his face was enough to make you cry on your wedding day. In turn, it made him cry, so you considered the two of you even. “I love you,” he said, soft as a promise. “Let me know if you change your mind and want Jun to come help. He said he didn’t mind—”
“It feels wrong to say yes,” you admitted. “I mean… We’re hosting. All the others need to do is show up.”
“Jun knows how many people we’re cooking for,” Seungcheol said. “There’s nothing wrong with needing help. Especially when I can’t help you.”
With a sigh, you nodded. “I’ll think about it. Are you going to the store now?”
“Are you coming with me?”
Normally, you would… But duty called. You had things to keep working on. “Grab me something sweet?”
“I’ll be coming back—”
You swatted at his arm, but fell only deeper in love with the warm way he laughed at his own dumb joke. “Something chocolate, please,” you said. “We can share it if you want.”
He stole one final kiss from you before he stepped away. “Whatever you want,” he promised.
You purposefully waited until he was about to leave to call out to him. “I love you, too.”
And, oh, that warm smile on his face made all of this work worth it. You would kiss that smile when the two of you went to bed tonight, exhausted from the long day and dinner that you had to put away any remains of when it was all said and done. And you would kiss that smile again tomorrow morning, just to remind him that you knew he could ace it.

What if the group (or just reader and Eddie) go to Lover's Lake, and Jason and his goons show up and try to steal reader's clothes and Eddie gets super protective?👀 I even had a thought about both Eddie and Billy ganging up to protect reader but idk how you'd feel about that 🫣

A/N: Thank you for requesting this, my love! I'm a little iffy about how I wrote Billy in this one. Not sure if he comes off as too AU. I tried to keep him in character. As soon as I saw "both Eddie and Billy," I knew there was no other way to write this. I hope you enjoy!

Finally, after weeks of extra shifts, sick days, after-school activities, and classes: everyone could hang out.
Eddie had gotten the key to Rick’s place after the dealer had been locked up longer than anticipated. Rick said something about if that ever happened again, he needed someone to water his plants—actual house plants, to your surprise.
And since it did happen again, Eddie suggested a day at Lover’s Lake with accommodations courtesy of the inmate. Everyone quickly agreed.
You had all arrived around the same time. Eddie opened your door before dragging out the cooler Wayne had lent you.
El and Max were already in the lake with Mike and Will running to join them. Nancy and Jonathan were setting up their blanket, and Robin was tugging inner tubes out of Steve’s car.
“How many of those did you bring,” you asked as she hooked two on her arm after hanging Steve four.
“They were having a sale, and Steve had some, so,” she did some mental calculations, “ten? Yeah, ten.”
You shook your head in amusement, closed the door for her, and made your way to the rest of the group. Only one person was missing.
Billy said he would meet you after he got off work, then muttered something about “little shits” and “fucking swimming lessons.” He was all bark and no bite when teaching the kids. He guided them through each movement and reassured them when they were scared to try something new.
You remembered the first time you saw him with them. You had to pick him up because his car was in the shop. He had ushered the rest of the kids to get changed but was still talking to a little boy. You didn’t know what they were saying, but whatever Billy had told the kid had been the right thing. The boy had beamed up at Billy and threw his tiny arms around his neck before rushing into the locker room.
Billy crouched there, eyes wide, then a little smile appeared, and he looked up to find you.
“Good day?” you had asked when you were close enough to him.
He shrugged, trying to fight back the smile. “Alright, I guess.”
You kissed his cheek and whispered, “Hurry up, and I’ll make it better.”
Eddie broke you out of your thoughts by wrapping his arms around your waist.
“All set, sweetheart,” he mumbled, kissing the back of your neck.
You hummed and watched as Steve, Dustin, and Lucas rowed into the lake with their fishing rods.
Grabbing Eddie’s arm, you pulled it to look at his watch. Billy would be here soon.
“Wanna sit?” Eddie asked.
You nodded, and he led you to the blanket, pressing against your side once you were both settled. He leaned toward you, his arm behind your back, so he was as close as possible.
“You think about them tipping the boat, too?” A smirk played on his lips.
You snorted. “The second I saw it.”
Eddie let out a laugh and nudged your shoulder. “Great minds, babe. Great minds.”
Your relationship with Eddie and Billy was unique. It had taken some deep conversations between the three of you to work.
You were good for Billy—everyone could see that. Though you and he weren’t together, there was something unspoken that made you off limits—to everyone but Eddie, that was.
He had been your friend for a while before Billy moved to Hawkins. So, when you developed a friendship with Billy, he had to come to terms with the fact that Eddie was more or less part of the package.
You had all been hanging out at your place, the TV on low, Billy’s arm thrown around your shoulders, and Eddie’s head in your lap. And you couldn’t have imagined being anywhere else.
And maybe it was Eddie's brownies or the darkness that made you say, “You both make me happy.”
They must have heard the hidden meaning in your tone because they looked at you in confusion but had the smallest of smiles on their faces. Then, they shared a glance with one another.
“You make me happy, too, sweetheart,” Eddie said.
Billy brushed a thumb along your shoulder. “Only one I give a shit about, baby.”
Their soft words and intense gazes made your cheeks heat up.
“What does…What does this mean? For us?” you asked, fiddling with your fingers.
Eddie tilted your chin up. “Means we should probably talk in the morning. When we’re all more…ourselves.”
You chuckled and nodded. “Good idea.”
Billy pulled you into him more and planted a kiss on the side of your head.
“My answer’ll be the same. Ya know, before you start overthinking,” he said.
Eddie settled back on your lap. “Mine will be, too. Just so you know.”
They were calling you their girlfriend when you woke up.
“Ew!” Robin screeched. “I think a fish slipped between my toes!”
Eddie laughed, making you grin as well.
He offered you a hand, bowing low. “Care for a swim, my lady?”
Instead of taking his hand, you flung your t-shirt over your head and pulled your shorts off.
“What are you waiting for?” you asked when you saw him standing there, eyes wide.
He hurriedly rid himself of his shirt, intertwined your fingers, and tugged you to the lake.
However, neither of you noticed who had just emerged with his two friends as they got closer to where you were set up to get to their car.
“That was the freak, wasn’t it?” Andy asked, turning to the others.
Patrick nodded. “And his little girlfriend, if that’s even the word for her.”
Jason glanced at you and Eddie, then at the blanket on the grass. A slow smirk spread across his face.
He gestured toward it. “Maybe someone should teach her not to be such a slut.”
They snickered when they caught on to what Jason had in mind.
He snatched your clothes, then rummaged through your bag to find the bra and underwear you stashed for later.
The hum of an engine stopped as they continued to their vehicle.
Billy closed his car door, scanning the area for you or Eddie.
He spotted Jason, and his stomach twisted at the familiar shade of green Billy had seen on you this morning. It couldn’t be.
“She acts like a whore, so why does she need these?” Jason laughed, waving the garments around. He was met with a chorus of laughter.
Billy ground his teeth, rushing toward Jason before he could think, and clocked him across the jaw.
Billy grabbed your clothes before they hit the ground and twisted Jason’s arm behind his back.
Jason let out a pained cry.
“You wanna say that again, Carver?” Billy bit out.
“I didn’t say anything!” Jason let out another sharp yell as Billy pushed further.
“You ever do something like this again—you ever call her that again—you’ll be in the ground.” He applied more pressure to Jason’s arm. “Understand?”
“I—I understand! I understand!” Jason promised frantically.
Billy shoved Jason away from him. He wanted to push him back into the dirt as he scrambled to his feet and rushed to the parking lot with his friends.
He turned toward the lake but stopped when he saw you and Eddie walking up to him.
Billy could tell you were shivering after being in the water. Even though Eddie’s arm was thrown around your shoulders.
“Did what I think just happened actually happen?” Eddie asked, nodding to your clothes.
Billy responded by pulling you into his chest and tucking your head into his neck.
“You okay?” he whispered.
Keeping your hands on his sides, you met his eyes. “I think so…I mean, you stopped him, but…why would he take my clothes? What was the point?” The spike in adrenaline muddled your thoughts.
“Carver’s an asshole. Does he need a reason to do anything?” Eddie rubbed your back, throwing Billy a look.
You narrowed your eyes. “What?”
They were both silent for a moment before Billy spoke. “He did it ‘cause of us.”
“Us?” You tilted your head. “I know we’re not the most conventional couple, but stealing my clothes? Really?” You bit the inside of your cheek, then shook your head. “He needs to mind his own damn business.”
Billy squeezed your hip. “He ever bothers you again, you tell me.” He glanced at Eddie. “Same for you.”
Eddie saluted, breaking the remaining seriousness. “Aye, aye, Captain!”
You breathed a laugh, and Billy rolled his eyes, but the barest of smirks graced his lips.
“You still wanna stay?” Billy asked, gripping your hand.
You looked over your shoulder at the rest of your friends, laughing and splashing each other. It felt like forever since you’d all been able to hang out, and you weren’t going to let Jason Carver, of all people, ruin your day with the ones you loved.
“I really do,” you said.
Eddie tugged on your other hand. “Then, let’s get going!”
Billy set your clothes on the blanket, stripping his shirt and shoes as Eddie didn’t stop until you were in the lake.
Billy joined you, wrapping his arms around your waist and chuckling as Eddie dunked Dustin. The boys probably realized they wouldn’t catch anything with the rest of you there.
You vaguely heard the shutter of Jonathan’s camera, him giving a thumbs up when he noticed you looking.
Eddie slowly made his way over to you, soaked after Max pulled him under by his ankles.
“Your sister’s brutal,” Eddie said, though his grin contradicted his complaint.
Billy shrugged. “She plays to win.”
“At least it was her and not El.” You nodded toward the girl as she dunked Mike with her powers. “You had a fighting chance.”
Eddie rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless. “Ha ha, you’re so funny.”
He put his hands on your waist above Billy’s on your hips. And you had to remind yourself that you were surrounded by your friends—no privacy to be found.
However, neither of them seemed to care as they stepped impossibly closer, their chests pressed against you, and you were sure they felt your breath quicken.
Billy’s lips grazed along your shoulder and neck, letting you feel their softness without kissing you outright. Eddie did the same but trailed from your jaw to your collarbone.
Your breath hitched when they hit soft spots simultaneously, and their smirks on your skin nearly made your knees buckle.
“You’re both terrible,” you whispered, barely finding your voice.
They chuckled.
“You love it.” Billy’s words rumbled against your back.
“She definitely does.” Eddie nipped the juncture of your neck, his thumbs moving to graze the underside of your breasts to let you know he felt your body’s reaction through your swimsuit.
One hand rested on Eddie’s stomach as your other slipped into Billy’s hair.
“Hey! Just a reminder that I can see you guys!” Robin shouted, her hands cupped around her mouth. “And children! There are children present!”
All three of you laughed, and you sent her a shy smile.
Billy buried his head in your neck while Eddie took your cheeks and kissed you sweetly—a temporary ceasefire.
“The food’s gonna get cold if you guys don’t move it!” she shouted again.
You bit your lip, grabbing both of their hands and pulling them out of the water.
Eddie wrapped a towel around your shoulders.
“You sit. I’ll get you some food,” he said before walking to Steve at the grill.
When Eddie returned, the three of you settled onto the blanket, surrounded by your friends. Jonathan snapped pictures of everyone, and El insisted that she get one with each person. Once developed, she’d have a particularly funny one of her giving Billy bunny ears.
After you finished eating, there were still some blueberries on your plate.
“You all done, sweetheart?” Eddie asked, pointing to the fruit.
You nodded, pushing your plate toward him.
The little smirk on Eddie’s face should’ve told you what he was planning.
He gingerly picked one up and threw it right at Steve.
“What the hell?” Steve’s brow furrowed, and in the midst of facing Eddie, he was hit in the forehead with another.
You couldn’t help your giggle as you leaned back into Billy.
Steve stood with a handful of his own berries and retaliated. Both of them ran around until they were out of ammo, and by that point, they were close enough to the water for Steve to tackle Eddie into it.
There were boos and shouts of victory amongst your friends, and you felt Billy’s chest shake as he laughed.
The sun began to set as they walked back.
Eddie flopped down, grinning. “I think I won.”
Billy scoffed. “In what world did you win?”
“In the one where I get to kiss a pretty girl ‘cause she takes pity on me.” Eddie’s grin only widened.
You rolled your eyes fondly and gave him a quick kiss.
“Better?” you asked.
“Much.”
You all sat watching the sky shift from navy to orange and pink. Eddie had pulled his hair back before laying his head in your lap. Your hand moved up and down as it rested on his chest.
“You ready to call it a night, baby?” Billy whispered in your ear, catching Eddie’s attention.
“I know we said about staying here, but would you wanna head home?” Eddie asked. “I know Billy stopped anything from happening, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want it to be just us tonight.”
“Was thinking the same,” Billy said, kissing your temple. “Wanna love on you in private.”
You hummed. “I think I’d be okay with that.”
You turned, your forehead touching Billy’s lips, smiling softly.
After saying goodbye to everyone and Eddie handing Steve the van keys. You were on your way home in Billy’s car.
Eddie unlocked the apartment door, a hand on your back for you to enter first.
“I’m gonna hop in the shower,” you said.
“Movie?” Eddie asked.
“Definitely.”
The shower gave you time to think about what had happened.
Jason was prepared to steal your clothes, and not only that, he had gone through your bag to find your bra and underwear. And even though Billy told you why Jason did it, you only started to internalize it at this moment.
Your relationship with Billy and Eddie wasn’t what others expected. You knew when they had seen you walking around with one or the other, they assumed you were cheating. Then, the gossip really ignited when you were first seen with both of them, your hand on Billy’s elbow and the other holding Eddie's.
You had eyes on you in the grocery store and caught parts of conversations between people trying to be quiet.
Isn’t that…?
She’s with both of those guys?
Do you think they’re making her do it?
Those were bad enough, but then there were the people who took things too far.
You think she takes them both?
Wonder if I can be the fourth.
Fucking skank.
It didn’t get to you much anymore. You had boyfriends in the past, but nothing could compare to the trust and communication with Billy and Eddie. You loved them with everything you had, and they loved you.
They drowned out everyone’s comments with their reassurances. And soon enough, you rarely notice it.
The novelty of your relationship died down, most people not even batting an eye. But Jason and his friends could never let it go. It was like they were…offended by it—like it was so unnatural, so dirty, so foul, that it was up to him to cleanse it. He wanted to fit everything into a little box, and when it didn’t, there was no telling what he’d do.
You dried off, threw on a pair of shorts, and swiped one of Billy’s shirts.
When you finished, the movie was ready, and popcorn sat on the coffee table.
You took your spot between them, leaning your back into Eddie once he threw his arm across the couch and placing your legs on Billy’s lap. His hand drew patterns from your toes to your knees.
The movie was halfway over when your earlier thoughts returned. And you looked at Billy, the light from the TV illuminating him.
He must have felt it because he glanced your way, then gave you a small smile.
“Everything okay?” he asked.
“Thank you,” you said, reaching a hand out for him to take.
“For what?”
Eddie paused the movie.
“For stopping Jason,” you said.
Eddie shifted, making you move so you could see both of them.
“You don’t need to thank me, baby,” Billy said, glancing at Eddie.
“Yeah, sweetheart, we’ll always have your back. We’ll always protect you,” Eddie said.
“I know.” You kissed Eddie. “I know.” Then Billy. “I just needed you both to know how grateful I am for you two.”
“Trust me. We know,” Eddie said.
Billy nodded. “And we feel the same about you.”
You smiled, looking down, then back.
“Love you both,” you mumbled shyly.
“Love you, too,” Eddie said, kissing your shoulder.
“Love you.” Billy brought your hand to his lips and kissed your knuckles.
You snuggled further into them, letting their warmth sink into you as Eddie pressed play.

Nothing felt better than hearing the last bell of a school day ring, knowing that the days after were the end of the week. The heavenly images in your head of finally being able to lay in bed, cuddled up in a warm blanket after taking a good relaxing shower.
However, instead of immediately going home, you decided to head to the park near the school to have a breath of fresh air. Fortunately, it seems to be vacant with no one on sight occupying it.
The rustling of leaves blown by the wind, the smell of fresh grass and dirt, and the silence that brought the feel of peace and tranquility. But the one thing that had always caught your attention, was the cherry blossom tree planted at the center of the park. For you, it was the most beautiful sight in the park. Almost never has its beauty failed to captivate passersby.
As you decided to take a seat underneath the tree, you noticed a familiar backpack laid on the ground. Thinking it could be anyone's and not just the specific familiar person you know who owns that exact same object, you reluctantly and carefully looked to the back of the tree to see who the mystery owner was. ‘Probably a random stranger’ you easily thought. But oh how wrong you were as your heart dropped the moment your eyes settled on the known figure.
Under the falling petals of cherry blossom he sat; beautiful mint-green eyes fixated on the strings of his guitar, fingers carefully strumming a melody that could soothe one's nerves. His long black hair gently swayed in the wind, coloured ends that matched his  irises. You've always admired him since the first day of high school; managing to get a few interactions here and there through group work. As much as you wanted to get to know him better, the charming and attractive classmate had his own walls built when it comes to the social environment. Not even the guys in your class could make him crack a bit of a smile. Thus, you've accepted such defeat ever since.
But seeing him being so peaceful right now, enjoying himself in his own world, made it hard for you to bat your eyes away from him. You couldn't help but just gaze in awe at the sight of such beauty.
Until his fingers suddenly stopped playing through the guitar strings.
The moment he perked his head up, you immediately hid yourself behind the other side of the tree; heart almost stopped working. You hear him getting up, walking closer and closer to where you once stood. As your breath hitched, you tried to act cool in case the both of you went face-to-face. You hoped you wouldn't, but fate unfortunately had its own plan.
“Y/N?” a deep yet gentle voice called out to you from the side of the tree, making your heart race faster than it already had been. He looked at you with a gaze oh-so empty; making it difficult to look through that stoic disposition of his.
“Oh! Uhh… yeah, it's me. Fancy seeing you here,” you greeted awkwardly, fidgeting the hem of your shirt from the embarrassment you felt deep down.
You thought he would be reluctant to engage further in the conversation, but to your surprise, he proceeded to ask another question.
“It's your birthday today, isn't it?”
The moment his words entered your hearing, it felt as if your organs were rearranged.
“I- uhh… How did you know?”
“Heard your friends mentioning about it. Forgot to give you this.”
He rummaged through his bag, before pulling out a box wrapped in gift paper and handing it to you with that blank stare maintained.
“For you. In addition to your birthday,” he said reluctantly.
You hesitantly took the gift from his hand, internally debating if this was a dream or not. Before you could word out your gratitude, he quickly picked up his belongings and threw a short “My bus is here, gotta go,” leaving you on your own with your thoughts; trying to process what just happened. You looked down at the gift he had given you, then pinched yourself to double check reality. Yet there was one thing you didn't put your mind into.
If he recently knew about your birthday from your friends today… How did he forget a gift regarding something he had never known about in the first place?

Joel’s voice was carrying over from where he was in the kitchen. The phone had rung a few moments ago, stirring you both from slumber. His voice was even, his tone not giving anything away about what the conversation was about. It seemed to go on for a while, allowing you to drift back off.
“They put out a warrant, apparently this guy’s harassed some other girls around town.” His voice was quiet, once he realized your eyes were closed and you had snuggled back into the bed as he walked into the bedroom. You let out a whine and shifted to face him, eyes barely open.
Joel crawls back into the bed, not strong enough to resist the soft look you gave him as you lifted the corner of the covers for him in a silent request. He settled easily back into the bed, breath huffing out as he shifted to get comfortable.
He must’ve drifted off, his breathing evening out as you shuffled close to him and buried your face in his shoulder and hugged his arm close to you. He was warm, comforting over the spinning of the ceiling fan he had insisted on turning on last night.
You awoke to the feeling of fingers trailing over your own, over the hand you had put atop the bare chest you were resting your cheek on. A strong heartbeat was thudding in your ear, comforting. It picked up a tick when your hand flexed underneath Joel’s soft touches, the flutter of your lashes against his skin as you opened your eyes. Lips curling into a smile, you pushed your face further into his chest, fingers tangling with his own to rest over his stomach.
“Broke some ‘f your pretty nails,” His voice was a sleepy rumble, the gravel of his voice shooting straight to your core.
You pressed your lips to his chest in a kiss. Peppering them as far as you could reach before you had to shift to straddle hm. Thighs on either side of his waist, you trailed the kisses up to his collarbone, up the column of his neck, to the underside of his jaw. His chest was rumbling underneath your hands as he preened under the attention. His own hands gripping your waist where you hovered over him. You could feel the swell of him, and in a bold move you settled over him completely. He groaned at the pressure and his knuckles popped with the force he was gripping you with.
“Babygirl, you’re drivin’ me crazy, fuck, you’re so goddamn soft.”
“Then do somethin’ about it.”
“I want to, god, do I want to.” He pleaded with you, his eyes dark as he looked up at you, his hands never straying from their hold on your hips, his body not moving beneath you save for his breath. He licked his lips, pink tongue peeking out between them and you felt a jolt of heat. But he wasn’t moving, he wasn’t doing anything and his eyes took on a weird cast.
He wasn’t moving, he seemed to barely be breathing.
Your entire body stiffened, the loose, languid way in which you had rolled over him gone as you pushed off from him and sat in the spot you had just been laying in next to him.
“But…?” You felt the sting of tears in the back of your throat, making it hard to get the singular word out clearly. Small, you felt so small, like a piece of garnish that’s been pushed off a beautiful display of food to be forgotten. He wasn’t looking at you directly, eyes trained on the top of your head, his hands had fallen to his middle when you shifted up and away. But you were looking, seeing the way his face had contorted into something conflicted. As if he was at war with himself, his mind providing reasons for his hesitancy that he couldn’t or wouldn’t voice.
“Did I do something wrong or...?”
Tears betrayed your attempt at remaining composed, they raced down your heated face and you began to wring your hands in your lap. Still he didn’t move, so you shoved yourself from the bed and grabbed a hoodie, pulling it over your sleep shirt.
“Do you not…like the way I look?” You hated the way your voice came out in a weird staccato, as if it was warbling around the words that you were forcing through the tightness of your chest and into the air. A pair of sweatpants hushed as you pushed your legs through them and pulled them up.
Always self-conscious of your body, the way that everyone assumed things of you because of how you were built, how your curves filled out clothes more fully than some other girls. Not exactly skinny but not exactly fit, a little too much jiggle that sometimes made you try on outfit after outfit only to hide in hoodies when not at work. You couldn’t turn around at the sound of him shifting atop the bed, hands shaking where you tried to tame your hair that was most definitely mused from sleep. Face hot and hands shaking.
“I don’t know what I did,” Your voice cracked, a sob ripping through your body. “I’m sorry, I didn’t…I didn’t meant to push you, Joel – I’m-“ Your breathing was uneven, lungs burning as they pushed and pulled what air they could between your cries. Your feet were quiet on the hardwood as you rushed toward the bathroom, just as you cleared the threshold, his arms wrapped around you and turned you around before pulling him into his chest.
Eyes flicking up, you took in the way he was watching you already. Eyes trained on the curve of his mouth as his tongue peeked out from between his own lips. You hadn’t done anything quite so bold yet, besides that rather heated make out session the day he admitted to wanting to be with you. It always felt like he was holding back, or you were too hesitant to initiate despite being the one to kiss him first.
You had decided to and it backfired into this.
“You didn’t do nothin’, trust me.” His voice rumbled in his chest, where your face was pressed to it, his lips pressed to your hair. “Darlin’, it’s me. I…I want to be that way with you, trust me, I really do…but you need to know some stuff about me first.”
You felt the deep breath he took in, his chest expanding where your face was pressed into him and your hands against the softness of his tummy.
“I also didn’t want to push you…after last night. Bein’ attacked like that…if you had seen yourself as you set in that office…”
You hiccupped as you tried to get your breath back, errant tears hot as they raced down your cheeks and into the fabric of the shirt Joel thrown on as he got up from the bed. Looking up at him, knowing how big your eyes must’ve seemed, you tried to see how sincere he was in his words. Anger at being handled flared and faded when his own gentle eyes met yours.

After calming you down, Joel decided that breakfast sounded like a good second start to the day.
“Was supposed to be Tommy and a date. Don’t,” He paused, lifting the decorated ceramic to his lips for a drink. “Don’t want you thinkin’ I would just send you over to a table full ‘a my family you didn’t know about.”
“Didn’t know about.” You repeated it evenly, attention focused on the act of scrambling four eggs in a bowl. Your heart was beating fast in your chest. Anxiety trying to claw its way out of your ribcage as you stood in your small kitchen with a talented, established chef with a decade or so of experience you were getting a glimpse of as he opened up. And you were frying up left over taco steak and eggs. “Don’t know a lot about you.”
“All you gotta do is ask, I’ll try my best to answer.”
“Sounds an awful lot like first date talk.”
The hiss of the eggs hitting the pan was the only sound for a moment.
“…is that somethin’ you would like?” His eyes trained on you as you padded around the small kitchen to gather up salsa and tortillas you had made the other day from the fridge. “To go out…on a date?”
“…yeah.” You breathed out, glancing over at him, taking in the way he looked so devastatingly good bathed in the soft morning light seeping in through the open blinds. You couldn’t meet the amber of his eyes, lit up with something other than the rising sun. Instead, you focused on the gray sprinkled in his scruff.
He moved behind you, his coffee cup abandoned next to your own. His chin hooked over your shoulder and his hands loosely held onto you waist, just close enough for you to feel him but not restrict your movements as you set about to make breakfast before a shared day off.
Tumblr media
“Uh, Joel?” The busy street was lined with spots, the one he pulled into right in front of a salon. The pinks and pastels of the shop familiar as it was exactly where you had gotten your nails done two weeks ago. You looked over to him, across the cab of the truck. “This is my nail salon, not the warehouse.”
“It’s just down the way.” Was his uninformative response, one of his hands on the steering wheel while the other dug into the middle console to retrieve his wallet. He pulled out a silver card and held it out to you, secure between his pointer and middle fingers. “It’s gonna take a while to go over everything, figured you could get a new set instead of bein’ bored.”
Staring. That’s all you could do. Eyes taking in the way his thick fingers held the card out to you, connected to his strong forearms. Veins decorated his arms and the bulge of his bicep that strained against the short sleeves of his blue t shirt. His scruff was dark on his tan face and smelled faintly of your rose – lemon body wash.
“Darlin’, I’m not trying to get rid of you, honest.” His eyes caught yours and you felt your heart flutter as the brown of them lit you up. “Your nails were so pretty, and I know how upset you are that they got messed up. Just wanted to do somethin’ to cheer you up.”
All you could do was lean over the console and take his face in your hands, feeling that dark scruff beneath your fingers and pull him to you in a deep kiss. He let you move him, leaning closer at your urgent attention. His lips moved against your own just as urgently, like he had been counting down the time since he last had the opportunity.
Tumblr media
The knock on your security door started you as you fluffed up your hair, giving it volume to fall around your face just right. Smoothing your hands down the red silk of the dress you had picked out, you walked over to the door. It had been a hard decision, standing in the mirror and tearing apart your appearance before finally just walking away. The small form of your fluffy cat playing with Joel through the glass of the door, the front left open. He brandished a dopey grin at you, a dimple appearing in his right cheek that had a heat flush your cheeks.
“Didn’t know you had somethin’ like this in your closet, darlin’.”
You took in the clean, black of his pressed pants, the black and dark green paisley of his dress shirt underneath a black suit jacket. His hair had been brushed back, curls swooping around the nape of his neck. He had trimmed his beard and mustache, a little less scruffy now. He looked good. Was that a gold chain around his neck, you reached up to where the top two buttons of his shirt were undone and uncovered the glittering there. It was.
“Uh.”
“Cat got your tongue?” He held up the little creature to you and she pressed her nose to your cheek, a scratchy lick following in. The smirk he aimed down at you had heat stirring to life between your legs.
“Fuck, you’re hot.” Was all you managed to get out, hand tugging lightly on the chain between your fingers and pulled him down to crash your lips together. Padded steps let you know he had set the cat down and his hands wrapped tight around your middle, bringing you against his chest.
Licking into his mouth, he eagerly returned the enthusiasm.
When his hands slipped underneath the skirt of your dress and rucked it up around your waist, he tucked one of his thighs between your own.
“Let. Me. See. It.” He nudged his thigh, creating friction exactly where you needed it and your vision wavered. He leaned his head back and drank in the sight of you. From the heat flushing the tan of your face, the way your chest moved in the fabric of the dress, to the flare of your hips as he moved his thigh against you, to the way your lips were swollen from his attention.
“Fuck, baby, we gotta make the reservation.” His fingers toyed with the band of your underwear, feeling the thinness of the fabric before he pulled away and adjusted himself.
Tumblr media
The dining room is bathed in soft, low lights. Joel leads you to the table, keeping your arm wrapped around his easily, drawing you toward a table that is nestled into a semi-circle booth. The plush velvet of the booth is soft against the bare skin of your arms as you carefully scooch in toward the middle to face out toward the rest of the room. Joel movement is smooth as he follows suit. The thick frame of his glasses catching the overhead twinkling lights. His thick hand rests atop your thigh, tracing absentminded patterns in the silk of your dress.
“There’s no pressure to eat, I’d be happy just sharing a drink with ya, alright?” Joel pinned you with a look, somewhere between a mix of simmering concern to not offend you and seriousness to let you know he just wanted you to be comfortable.
“Can I get anything started for you?” A waitress popped up, smile bright and apron tight around her waist.
“I’ll take a Glenlivet, neat.”
“I’ll take a gin and tonic, Empress if you have it? I think I see the purple of it from here, but I wanted to check.”
“Of course, did you want that with a lime or lemon twist?”
“Hmm, lime and a cherry.”
“Got it, I’ll give you a moment to look over the menu. Let me know if you have any questions!” She moved away with a swing of her hair and a hand skimming the table. You looked after her, having noticed the way she wouldn’t look at your during the exchange, her eyes trained on Joel the entire time.
You felt shy all of a sudden, aware of how much skin you had on display for everyone to see. You fidgeted, knees bumping as you tried to make yourself smaller, take up as little space as possible. The scent of food wafting around the room made your stomach clench, realizing you hadn’t had anything since breakfast. But you worried about messing up the lipstick you had fawned over as you got ready, the color of it smearing and revealing that you weren’t as put together as you appeared. For everyone to see that you didn’t know what you were doing, that this was out of your comfort zone.
Sure, you could work in a place of such high caliber and elegance, but to be a patron?
“Hey, look at me.” Joel’s voice had an edge to it, the urgency of it causing you to snap your attention to him from where it had been trained on the shelves of the bar, but unseeing. Lost in the mental Olympics that your thoughts had delved into. “You seem nervous, we can go, we don’t have to stay even if we ordered drinks. Jus’ want you to be comfortable.”
“It’s just…I feel like I don’t belong, this place is so fancy.”
“No fancier ‘n my place,” He watched the way your eyes flitted from the cardstock menu to the servers bustling about, to the way you were clocking every movement from the door to the bar to the kitchen, every vigilant. Then it clicked for him, for all the confidence you had while at work it didn’t carry over into your personal interactions, to your everyday actions. Self-conscious and worried about everything translated into good work ethic. He knew about that, all too well. His hand on your leg tightened before he moved down to cup your knee. That’s why his previous behavior got to you so easily, he questioned your ability to shove it all down in order to thrive at work. The one place you felt comfortable enough to front and do a damn good job of it.
“You’re one of the most enamoring people I’ve ever encountered, you have my attention.” Your gaze on him softened, just as the waitress made her way back over to the table with two drinks in hand.
“Here you go, sir.” She trilled, setting the drink down in front of him carefully. She turned her attention to you and beamed, her eyes lighting up as she leaned down a little to offer the drink to you. She spoke with genuine words as she met your hesitant eyes. “Your dress is so beautiful; it really suits you. I wish I had your confidence.”
You could feel Joel’s hand tighten on your knee as you seemed to shift, some of the self-assuredness you carried at work settling into you. Spurred on by the kind words of another woman, the affirmation where there were so often thinly veiled insults thawing the icy anxiety that had taken hold of you.
“Thank you, I love your earrings. That’s one of my favorite movies.”
She blushed, her hand going to tuck a wayward strand from her face. The earrings looked just like the ones a character in an animated movie did, and she smiled shyly at the recognition.
“Thank you, I’ll give you two some more time. Chef Macey wanted to come by and greet you before you placed your order.” And she was off, with a little more confidence settling her own shoulders.
“Can’t keep my eyes off of you, the way that dress moves on your body, you fill it out so nice, pretty girl.”
Joel leaned in close and whispered in your ear before taking a sip from his drink. You nudged him with your shoulder, but the tint to your dark skin surely told him how you really felt.
Conversation flowed from that point on, both of you sharing with each other.
Tumblr media
Joel dragged his lips down the column of your neck, entire body pushing you up against the front door of his house that he just closed. One of his hands loosely clamped both of yours above your head to against the wood, the other was caressing the skin of your hip. The silk skirt of your dress was hiked up around his wrist, the slit in the side of it allowing him easy access to trace his hands over you. His fingers skimmed where your skimpy underwear lined the crease of your thigh.
Your head hit the door you were up against with a thunk, hips canting forward as heat pulsed through your middle.
“Been wondering what you’ve got hiding under here all night, sweetheart.” He pressed the words into your collarbone, scruff brushing over you as he did so in a pleasant way. His fingers stroked the front of your underwear, feeling the fabric damp from his attention. He pressed harder, your swollen lips gliding together with a squelching sound and when his index finger caught the hood of your cunt, you couldn’t help the loud moan that pushed from somewhere deep in your ribs.
“Oh fuck, she’s so needy, isn’t she?”
You could only nod, unable to form words as you watch, enraptured by the man before you.
“Just begging for attention and she’s gonna get it, gonna give her what she wants.” He rasped as he used both hands to drag the fabric from your body down your legs. He let out a pleased sound at the sight of creamy slick gathered on the inside of them, his tongue coming to part his lips as he leaned forward to bury his face in the front of your dress. He stayed crouched down, hands groping your legs as he raised them, nuzzling his nose against the front of you, the sensation lighting you up from the inside out.
Lifting the fabric of your dress up, rouching it around your waist, he took your legs and brought them over his shoulders. Making sure your back was supported by the door, he leaned in and grazed the tip of his nose through your folds. Just hovering over the apex of your thighs, taking in the way he could see the slick glitter against your inner thighs from his attention. He licked up your slit with the flat of his tongue, hands holding tight to your stuttering hips as he supported you.
Your back arched, hands scrambling for purchase in the hair he had slicked. Tugging it gently from its careful placement and nails lightly scraping against his scalp had him groaning into you. The vibrations hitching your breath as pleasure stole the air from your very lungs.
Feeling boldened by your sounds and rutting, he carefully brings a hand down to circle your fluttering entrance with a thick finger before he slowly pushes into you.
“Ah, hah, fuck,” You keened when he curled it within the tight heat, pumping slowly and adding a second one before you could even catch your breath to beg for just that. It was too much, it wasn’t enough, it was just right. He groans as you clench tightly around his fingers, fucking them into you in slow drags to work you through up to the precipice. The feeling of your pulsing clit against the wet of his tongue where it swirled around making you dizzy.
Feeling the clench of your stomach, fire crackling deep in your core, you came suddenly with a shout.
Joel worked you through it, his fingers pumping in and out of your slick entrance. His tongue rolling over your sensitive clit as it pulsed harshly enough for him to feel. The aftershocks of your release twitching your muscles, you felt boneless in your satisfaction.
Suddenly deflating, your entire body slackens, and if it weren’t for the way Joel supported your legs you would’ve crumbled.
“Bedroom. Now.” He growled as he took you into his arms and carried you up the stairs. All you could do was cling to him, arms around his neck as he cradled you against his chest. With every step, you could feel the hard line of him straining against his dress slacks.
There was nothing that could’ve looked better, you mused as you watched Joel fists the long line of his cock, pumping himself slowly as he watched you from the foot of the bed. The way his body was on display for you, the way he was looking at you with a need that had been simmering for weeks, months now ever since you first met his eyes in the sunlight during that meeting so long ago. Muscles in his thighs jumping as you shifted to let your legs fall open, an invitation for him. The glistening of your release smeared over all of your cunt on display for him as your lips parted, allowing him to see how you fluttered around nothing as your eyes trained on the small dribble of precum that bubbled up from his tip.
He moved slowly, taking in the sight of your laid out before him on his bed, eyes desperate. Your hands trailed down the expanse of your body, miles of supple skin all for him. Fingers moving through course hair before finding your glistening lips, delved into the soft folds of yourself to circle your clit in small circles.
“Fuck, can’t wait, can ya? Greedy lil thing,” Joel’s knees hit the surface of the bed and he crawled over you, your legs falling open to make room for him as he pressed his warm body to you. He reached over to rummage in his bedside table, the crinkling of foil telling you he was fetching a condom. He held it between two fingers for you to see, like he had with his credit card earlier in the day. You nodded, grateful he had the awareness to think of it.
His fingers nudged yours away, taking over and sparking heat as he guided his cock to drag through your slick folds. His tip brushed against your sensitive clit and you gasped out, hands coming up to grip his biceps, the muscles firm. Pulling away, he quickly tore open the small package and rolled it on, pumping himself a few times as he watched the way your body trembled in anticipation. He notched himself at your entrance, pausing to catch your eyes as he slid in.
He moaned out at the tight feel of you taking him, the wet sound of you sucking him in to the hilt. He stilled, holding himself above you, chests brushing as you both breathed deeply.
“She’s taking me so well, baby girl, you’re taking me so well,” Voice low and sultry as his eyes trained on the way you were clenching tight around him, not moving quite yet as he reveled in the sight of himself nestled deep inside of you for the first time.
“Joel, please,” You panted, hands reaching for him, petting his chest, feeling the heat he was giving off and the soft brush of his dark chest hair against your palms. He gave an experimental thrust, dragging out nearly all the way until just the tip of his cock stretched you out to glide back in. You keened as he brushed against something deep inside, eyes going wide as you looked up at him. “Do that again, hard, please, Joel.”
“Fuck, I’ll do whatever you want if it feels this fucking good,” He pressed into you, his chest flush with yours as he leaned down deeper into your space. Your arms hooked around his neck as he thrust harshly into you, hitting that spot deep inside you relentlessly. Eyes clenching shut, he moved against you and all you could do was take it. You felt so full, pleasure warming you up like a fire licking at the edges of your skin.
The head of his cock brushed your cervix and your breath hitched before a guttural sound flitted from between your lips. One of your hands snaked down from around his neck to press on your lower belly and he grunted out at the added pressure.
“So full, so good,” Was all you could say, overwhelmed by the feeling of him all over. All around and inside of you, making you feel so good that tears welled up in the corners of your eyes. He moved against you in hard, deep thrusts that made your breath hitch on each impact. The stretch of him punching the air from your lungs just as he breathed it back into you with his lips so close to yours.
Pleasure washed over you, the heat all encompassing and you tried to warn him before your vision sparkled black and your body clenched impossibly tight around him.
“Fuck, you did so good, pretty girl. You came f’me so well.” He grunted with every move against you, his thrusts faltering as he neared his own peak. His forehead was heavy where he rested it against your own, skin slick with sweat and curling his mused hair. His dark eyes found your own, seeing the way you came back to yourself, he stilled deep inside you and filled the condom. The hot sensation of his release inside you, felt through the thin material, making your hips jolt up and rut against him.

Joel had started to take Wednesdays off, to share the day with you after you completed your classes. You had all three that day, the two you attended as a student and the one you were an assistant for. It was something you had noticed the first time he had slept over after a long shift the night before and offered to drop you off and fetch you afterwards. It was rather nice, to have someone waiting for you when you found yourself leaving campus around dinner time. He often offered to cook or get takeout from one of the Joel-approved establishments around the city. Paired with an offer to come to his place or hole up in yours and watch bad movies or sitcoms.
It was a nice way to spend the last couple weeks of the summer semester. The campus crowded with people attempting to get their credits during the faster paced season, but you felt like you belonged a little more, now having other parts of your life flesh out. Conversations with classmates shifted from talk about work to that and the addition of what you and Joel would get into.
Your close friend Nia was also very interested in the sudden influx of photos on your feed that were all cropped to show only snippets of Joel. Your legs tangled on the couch, his hand on your thigh while in the car, two coffee cups beside each other, two pairs of boots on a trail, the hint of a scruffy chin in the low light of a kitchen or backyard.
It was a lazy afternoon, the lingering scent of breakfast and coffee in the air of Joel’s cozy house as you stood underneath the hot stream of water in his master bathroom. He had let you sleep in, the day free from work and class. Only finals to complete over the next week. You took your time washing with his soap, the scent comforting as it wafted around in the steam that collected in the room.
Sighing, you pulled out one of his shirts from the dresser to go over your leggings. Pulling on a pair of socks and adding product to your hair, voices could be heard downstairs in the living room.
“Y’all can stay but…yes, she’s here.”
“Dad! You could’ve told us that when we texted we were on the way!” Sarah smacked him on the side of his arm with the book she had picked up to check out from the coffee table.
“Yeah, Joel, meeting the family is kind of something you gotta prepare her for.”
“It doesn’t matter how much we want to meet her if she’s not ready, if you aren’t ready.” Ellie pointed out, a dull look aimed at her father as she settled into the couch. They both watched Joel’s hands fidget as he thought it over. Weighing the options of what to do.
“…you’re right, lemme go and run it by her.”
As he climbed the last few stairs he came face to face with your form in the doorway leading into his room, a soft smile on your face. Your name fell from his lips as he took in the causal sight of you in his clothing, coming out of his room as if it was your own.
“So- uh, my girls are here, and they wanted to take me-us out to lunch.”
“Okay,” You watched the way he clenched and unclenched his hands at his side, a nervous tick of his you’d noticed before ever even talking to him outside of work matters. In a soft voice, you melted away his worries. “Then lemme get changed into some jeans.”
The smile he broke out into fluttered your heart.
They didn’t pass judgement on the way you only ordered an appetizer and shared a few bites of a dessert with them. They shared endearing stories of Joel’s attempts to parent them in the ways he thought was best, from stocking up on their favorite snack foods for when they visited, to doing research on the best mechanics and repair crews in their respective areas should he not be able to get to everything when he visits.

“Study groups have been outlined, please gather together.”
The packet handed to you had a post it with a message to stay after class, something about an application for an upcoming internship. You excused yourself for a moment, after taking the time to see who was in your group and settled together in a corner of the classroom. They smiled at you, letting you know it was okay as textbooks and reading for the class were brought out.
Waiting for the line to pick up after nervously hitting the call button underneath the number for the restaurant, you picked at a stray thread hanging from you shirt. It picket up after the seventh one, just before the typical recording of information and how to leave a message.
“Hi, yes, I’m looking for leadership?”
“Mary’s off today, it was supposed to be you today. Chef is here, but…he’s in a mood.” Millie spoke in a whisper, and you could picture her holding her hand over her mouth as she spoke into the receiver.
“When isn’t he?” You huffed, worried about having to tell him you were going to be late. You weren’t immune to the attendance policy. While Mary was relaxed about, lenient when she could be, it still adhered in most cases. Joel, however, as the owner, took it a little more seriously when it came to the kitchen staff. Needing them in order to run a high caliber of service. “Can you fetch him for me? It’s important.”
The line muffled, Millie not putting the line on hold but instead was probably walking the phone through the restaurant to the kitchen. You heard the sound of the swinging door on it’s hinges before the line came back in crisp quality.
“This is Joel Miller.”
“Joel, it’s me.”
“You’re due in at one.”
“I know. I…might be late. I got a note from my professor, they want me to see me after class. It might run long.”
“You’re the front of house leadership today, Mary’s out for that thing with her son.”
“Joel…I know. I wouldn’t be calling if it wasn’t important, I’m not calling out, just letting you know I might not make it in time for my prep shift.”
“Can’t have that, it’s just a meetin’ with someone who regularly seeks you out while you’re on the bar.”
“Joel…”
There was the sound of a door closing and he spoke at a lower volume. “Text me any updates, okay? There’s somethin’ about it that I don’t like. Need to know everything is okay. Just get here when you can, I’ll get Millie to open the bar and make the section outlines.”
“I’m emailing you the outlines sections for who’s on shift, the reservation list and who gets what tables for that, and the things Millie needs to prepare for the ones with prefix menus.”
“…thank you.”
“You know…there’s no need for you to be jealous, Miller.”
“’m not jealous, just don’t like him, is all.”
“I’ll see you later.” You bit back the words that wanted to follow, holding them down until they lodged themselves at the bottom of your throat.
Tumblr media
“I wanted to discuss the interest you’ve shown toward the internship I’m offering once the Fall semester begins. You were one of the first to apply.” Your professor stated as the last couple bodies from class exited out into the hallway. You just nodded, nerves still itching underneath your skin as you pulled up an errant chair to settle into, the desk separating you from him.
“Yes, I enjoyed the way you lead your class and think you have a lot to teach on how to apply that knowledge toward real world parameters.” You crossed your legs, trying to get feeling back into them, leg muscles twitching for having sat for so long.
“You certainly are one of the more qualified candidates and I always enjoy your work. But there is one concern that I have regarding the situation.” He leaned back slightly in his chair, the springs squeaking as he did so. He looked so calm and collected, like he did during lectures. He had all the knowledge and he was granting it to you, you wanted to continue to learn from him. He was a good teacher, a thorough instructor, a caring and thoughtful person who decided to share his knowledge with those of like-minded individuals.
“And that is…?”
You were worried he was going to tell you it would be unprofessional to offer it to you in the wake of him becoming a regular at the bar. That he was going to tell you he had feelings for you, that he wouldn’t be able to work in such close quarters with you for the duration of the internship. Something, anything, the smallest thing to prevent you from getting the position.
“It seems you and my…brother had a mighty big misunderstanding.”
Confusion halted your racing thoughts, the anxiety that had been humming through your veins during the entire class session. Everything in your mind blanked as the words clicked into place.
“Your broth- oh shit.”

☆World of the wicked☆
[-F Reader]
This is the prologue to upcoming chapters as they go on it will get disturbing and settling.
This is a yandere story.
Warning swearing⚠️
Is this what you get?
For being so miserable..?
Remembering how a few hours ago you were planning on running away from your home you could not stand your parents who were always making you feel miserable any way they could.
You'd run away from home hoping to live peacefully, but that didn't work out, did it?
Then out of nowhere you were in a coffin that you out punched the fuck out of holding your bag in your other hand the next thing you knew a cat blowing fire out of his mouth and running around causing chaos.
"I didn't take no damn edible...!" I said, looking down into the pocket of my hoodie. All there was gum and a pocket kife.
And my lighter oh yeah and my backpack filled with all my stuff.
After all that bullshit they kicked the cat out. I felt bad for the little devil because he wanted to attend the 'college'.
Then Crowley immediately tried to send me back home after everyone was told to fuck off.
But the stupid ass mirror was acting dumb.
"What do you mean you don't know where [Address Name] is!?" I said, looking at the stupid mirror as it just gave me a dead look.
"Oh dear!" Crowley said.
I was in the world of the wicked.
Since the headmaster was so generous he allowed me to stay in ramshackle dorm that looked like a fucking crack den.
Then the cat came back and told me not to snitch on him.
"I ain't no snitch!" I said looking at 'grim' as I grabbed the broom and cleaned this poor dorm that had been abandoned in a long ass time.
"Good, you better!" Grim was cut off by Crowley holding a fancy bag. "I've brought some food -"
Then he made Grim burn his ghost form or something shit idk.
★☆★
Crowley assigned us to be janitor some shit.
After this, I was gonna hit the library and look for books if we have time.
"This garden janitor type shit jobs sucks balls," I said, raking the leaves. Grim wasn't doing shit. All he did was sit his ass down.
"Dude, really?" I said, looking at him.
I stopped as I heard Leafs crunching on the ground, so I turned tf around so fast I almost made grim go flying into the pile of leaves.
"Woah, what the hell, human!?" Grim said as he lost his balance. I scooped him up.
"Woah! We didn't mean to startle you, dude!" Dude 1 says shocked.
"But ace you said we wouldn't startle him!" Dude 2 says.
They think I'm a dude.
Well, I am wearing a baseball cat with my hair in a lower bun and wearing the very baggy coveralls with some boots.
"Can I help yall?" I asked looking at both of them examining them.
"Jeez, what with the passive aggressiveness?? We're only saying Hi!" Ace said, looking at you with attitude.
"Ok. What's good?" I said as I shook Ace's hand tightly then I turned to Deuce and did the same.
?? They looked dumbfounded.
"What's with the look? Yall wanted to say, "Hi,so I say what's good, " I said, looking at them.
"That's one way to say it" Deuce said laughing nervously but I wasn't laughing so he shut up.
"One of you smells good," I said as a strawberry and rose sweet scent hit my nose.
"It's not me. I forgot to put my cologne on this morning, probably Deuce." Ace said.
"No, I forgot actually -"
"Why aren't both of you in class?"
They both froze as they turned around it was a shorter dude.
"Oh! Housewarden...!!" Ace said nervously.
...
"Mind awnsering my question hm?" Riddle said sternly.
"I bothered them. I asked them for directions to the cafeteria, and I'm new to this job," I said, looking at the red head who looked at me.
"Is that so? Very well then, " He said as he looked at both ace and deuce.
"Do not let it happen again or I shall have your head's next time" He said with a smirk.
...
As he walked away."What a pain in the ass!" Ace said, annoyed."Hey, if you gonna talk shit say it to his face!" I said."No way, dude!" Ace said."That's what I thought, dude," I said, folding up the latter."Ha, he doesn't have the guts!" Grim said."Oi shut -" Grim threw the brush into Ace's mouth."Ew, dude, there's bird shit on the brush." I said disgusted.
★♡☆
Ace and deuce were cool, but yeah, I'm now helping crowley sort out his papers since I guess his dumbass left the window open, and his papers flew everywhere.
"I've been thinking (y/n) why don't I let you attend school here, hm?" He says out of the blue.
"Are you crazy!? I'm a girl! I can't keep up with snobby privileged dudes. Also, how am i supposed to throw hands!?" I said, panicking.
"Why I did think of that? perhaps a potion to help you smell like a man will do. I'm sure nobody will pick on you! I saw you made friends with those two freshmen from heartslabyul!" The headmaster said as he clapped his hands together.
What?
"I have a uniform that is big enough to cover your feminine body. Why, of course, aren't I just generous!" He said.
What kind of fucking drugs is he on!?
"Yes! You both shall start tomorrow, but you will get some privileges, but no special treatment, got that?" Crowley said.
Grim said something.
But I'm confused and lost....?
What the fuck??
"Here is your school uniform!" Crowley handed it to me as I stupidly took it.
"Wait, what?" I said, looking at him confused.
"Now off you go, you want to get enough rest for tomorrow. Do you now?" The headmaster said, pushing us out.
"No, I said -"
"Wonderful, I shall see you tomorrow!"
He shut the door in my face.
"Yoohoo! I can't wait!" Grim said smugly.
Fuck ain't this some shit.
★First Day Of School★
I forced myself to get up. I looked around the dark room and up at the windows.
It was around 5 since the headmaster gave me a phone he talked about no magicam but I could not give 2 fucks about social media after school I'll hit the library and look for a way to go home.
I looked at the school uniform it looked uncomfortable, so I decided to slip my pj's underneath and some cozy socks with my black air force ones.
Since I have my bag and it fits all of my stuff because I made it all fit.
It was baggy, but it was okay. All I needed was a blet, so I grabbed my belt and adjusted it.
"Wake up, grim!" I said.
"Ughhh!" Grim whined as he rubbed his eyes.
Well shit I just need to do my hair he never said anything about baseball caps or Bandana , but I just tied my hair up and drank that liquid crowley told me to drink.
Yeah, I look like I don't belong here.
I stood out the air forces made me taller and the pants I creased them last night so also the jacket and black vest and button up the bow tie was shaped differently from everyone else's cuz crowley aint got no more ties.
Well shit this shit will do.
And no fuck them gloves I ain't no fancy pants.
I closed the door to the room as I saw grim eating cereal with water.
"Ya know, we got honey buns, right?" I told him.
"Huhh? We do? Well, I don't mind eating anything! But toss me one!" Grim said," So I did.
I forgot I told Ace and Deuce as I heard a knock at the door. I rushed to open the door. "Yall can come in!" I said, looking at them.
"Jeez, this place looks big! And it's neat!" Ace said as he looked around.
"Ya should've seen how it looked when I arrived," I said.
"Must of been a pain to clean up," Deuce commented.
"Okay, I'm done!" Grim said, looking at us.
"Let's get going now or we'll be late!" Deuce said.
"Ya," I said nervously.
Hell was just about to start...
We had our first class with Professor trein as Ace was already yawning, but Deuce was asking questions. I was just confused as if the grim was doodling.
Is this like the history back home?
Also, extra sugar coated and lies?
I listened to the lecture and wrote some notes down even though they were boring.
"Did you take notes (fake/name)?" Deuce asked.
"Yeah, a couple," I said, carrying these stupid books.
"Ugh, I got a basketball meeting during class!" Ace said, annoyed.
"Sounds lame" Grim said as he munched on a honey bun.
"Oh! (F/n) Did the headmaster ever tell you about the Dorm leaders and vice dorm leaders?" Deuce asked.
"Tf is that?" I said, confused asf.
"Woah, he didn't tell you!?" Ace said.
"Nope," I said, confused.
"You know that red-haired guy that was talking to us yesterday that's Riddle Rosehearts Our Housewarden-"
"I don't really care," I said, looking around.
"WHAT!?" Deuce said.
"Dude, how careless are you?? Ya know if you mess up in front of one of them, your toast!" Ace said.
"I don't care. I didn't give 2 shits about the student body at my old school," I said.
"I could care less too!" Grim said.
"Oh yeah, just a heads up, Vargas mixed the class up, so half of us will have class with the 3rd year's," Ace said.
?
Well shit fuck.
"Let's go to Crewel's classroom," Deuce said as we both headed inside.
"Also be careful the 2nd year's are in here doing some lab," Deuce said.
"Sounds boring," Grim said.
Deuce was showing us how to make a potion that helps you relax.
"And all you got to do is stir!" Deuce said," So I did. It looked like crystal.
"Smells horrible!" Grim said disgusted.
"Heyyyyy~ Deuce and uhhh?"
"Hey Cater! This is grim, and that's (f/n)!" Deuce says.
...
"Nice too, meet you both. I'm Cater Diamond, a third year, but you can call me Cay Cay~!" He winked at me.
Ew wtf.
"If you're a third year, what are you doing in here?" Grim asked.
"I had to stay to make up a potion!" Cater said cheerfully.
I paid no interest and went back to crushed flowers that Deuce asked me to do.
"How about a selfie~?" Cater said, pulling out his phone.
"No," I say sternly.
"Huh? Why not? It'll be fun!" Cater said as he got closer to you.
!?
Dude wtf get tf back.
I moved away towards Deuce."Uh Cater (f/n) doesn't like that sort of stuff," deuce."Talk about boringggg"Cater said, looking at you with a frown."Boring? For not wanting to have our privacy leaked? Grow up, ain't everyone like you!" I said as looked him dead in the eyes's. Deuce looks at me."Deuce, your friends seem to like making enemies," Cater said.
"Oh! (F/n) doesn't mean it he's just not used to our world. Cut him some slack cater!" Deuce said, looking at you.
But you went back to crushing flowers.
"Alrighty I gotta go anyway"Cater said leaving.
"You need to really be careful. Everyone around here is... not like in your world (f/n)."
"In my world we bashed motherfuckers brains out for talking shit if we didn't like some asshole we settled it out in the streets or they get their brains blown out" I said looking at him.
Ew, I sound like them wannabe edgy people.
"Woah, that's uh too violent." Deuce said, looking at you confused.
"But you cannot do that here!" Deuce said scolding you.
"And I'm sure you don't have the guts to do that!" Deuce said scolding you even more to the point 2 other freshman turned around to look at both of you.
"Humans! Quit fighting do you not see we are trying to finish our lab!" The tall one shouted
"So please quit down over," the short one said.
"Freedom of speech and why yall being nosey nobody was talkin' to both of you," I said, looking at them.
!!!
☆★☆
Throughout the day (f/n) was almost jumped by some assholes from Savanaclaw and then some dude named Azul was saying some sketchy shit to grim so you took him away and well physical education made you snap.
"What do you mean we can't be together?" I asked Vargas, who was looking at us with a big smile.
"(F/n) I need you with that group over there!" Vargas says.
? "And for you, grim!" Vargas said.
I walked over there forcefully my legs were giving up on me I just wanted to go to the library and try to get out of this hell hole.
We started to play everyone was already mean asf.
Volleyball that's what we were playing it they were hitting it too fucking high I got nervous as I noticed some asshole looking at as he served it towards me.
I hit that shit so hard my hand ached it hurt so much.
Luckily Deuce was in my team but ace was running.
"You got this (f/n)!" Deuce said, looking at me.
"You too!" I said these 3rd years got no chill.
"Um Deuce do you know these guys" I asked as I turned to whisper at him.
"And you didn't want to know about the dorm leaders or vice dorm leaders?" Deuce said.
"What?" I said.
"Okay, well, that's Leona kingscholar, the dorm leader of Savanaclaw," He said as I stared at him he was bickering with a blue haired dude and a blonde with purple highlights.
"Next to him is Idia Shroud, the dorm leader of- watch out!" Deuce yelled as the volleyball goes flying as it slams into the fucking grass making a hole in the process.
!
A dude with horns had severed the volleyball, and the students in our team crouched in fear as the ball missed me as Deuce moved me out the way.
"Are you okay!?" Deuce said.
"Yeah thanks to you what's with those motherfuckers are they trying smoke us??" I said annoyed as I looked at the horned dude and a dude with a baseball cap was fangirling over him.
"Merveilleux!" He shouted and clapped as the blonde with purple highlights behind him looked at him annoyed, and so did Leona.
"We're not playing anymore!" Our teammates said as they ran off like as if they were rat's stealing cheese.
Me and Deuce looked at each other.
So I grabbed the volleyball.
"Ya wanna serve?"
"You want to stay..?" Deuce asked.
"I'm not scared of nobody," I said.
He nodded as I passed him the ball, and he served, but it was immediately served back, so I jumped and threw that shit back, and then they hit it back, but they hit Deuce in the face.
"Oh shit!" I said as I looked at Deuce.
"I'm okay!" He said, trying to hide his anger??
"Hey! What's your problem!" I said, trying not to swear.
"It's not worth it (f/n)!" Deuce said sternly.
They were looking at us as if they did nothing the fucking audacity.
"Yea, I'm talking to yall. Why you trying to kill us!!!" I said pissed.
"Dude, come on!" Deuce said.
"These privileged ass motherfuckers think its okay to beat on us!" I said annoyed.
"You're half their size! You can't fight them they'll kill you!" Deuce warned you but headed over there with attitude.
"Hey! (F/n)!" Ace said, running towards you.
"What's the matter herbivore cat got yer tongue?" Leona said smugly.
"I'm still taking! You snobs trying to kill us!!" I said, looking at them pissed asf.
Ace then drags you away forcefully.
"Dude, not cool. Those guys will mess you up," Ace warned.
"Do not give a fuck!"I said annoyed.
☆★☆
"What's with the tough guy act (f/n)? You can't do that around here!" Deuce scolded.
"I don't care how rich or strong they are I'm not scared of nobody!" I said angerly.
"You should chill out I'm serious you have no magic those dudes can seriously mess you up!" Ace said.
"Maybe a drink will cheer you up!" Deuce said.
"Yeah!" Grim said. "I'll get em I started this shit might as well cool off!" I said, getting up from the bench.
"Are you sure -""Yea," I headed off to find the vending machine.
"Why if it isn't the Trickster!"
???
I turned around and saw the assholes from earlier.
"Fufu~" Is this who you are talking about Malleus?"
...
"Tch, it's just the herbivore," Leona said pissed off. "What kind of shitty names are those??" I said, looking at them as I noticed a vending machine far behind them.
"My! Do you run your mouth all the time?"
"No." I said.
"Hmph, you lie as well potato"
Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?
"Um ya know, I could make you guys mad another day, but possibly tomorrow, but I need to get to that vending machine, and your fat assess is blocking the way." I said, looking up at them. I think someone dropped something.
"What did you say!?"
"How ill mannered!"
"Hmph!"
"Why look at yourself!"
"Oh my!"
I couldn't help it. I was laughing like it was the funniest shit I've ever heard. "Yall funny!" I said, laughing my ass off. I can't breathe! I've never seen anybody react like that. Usually, it would end up in a fist fight or hair pulling type shit.
I then turned around and headed off to another vending machine.
☆♡☆
"What took you so long?" Grim pouted."I was laughing at the assholes from earlier!" I said laughing."What!?" Deuce says."You really wanna get in a fight with those dudes!" Ace said.
"No, they talked to me first !" I said.
☆☆☆
I headed off to the library with grim who was complaining about how the other students were being assholes to him."They think they all that," I said as we headed inside it was empty asf, bro."We got the place to ourselves!" Grim said. "I guess," I said.
I looked around for books while grim looked around.
"Tf is this shit I don't understand any of this shit," I said, confused as I looked through the books. The only book I found was 'Is it possible to travel to another dimension?' The library was too big and it was getting dark.
"Let's go, grim, we gotta make dinner," I said."Finally! I'm starvin!" Grim said.
How long will you be stuck in the villain's world?
This wicked world...
It was going to be a month since your arrival and well things....just keep getting worse...

pairing: trevor zegras x gn!reader
warnings: angsty and some swearing
good riddance fic series
The last year has been hard for you. Nobody ever told you how hard graduating highschool would be. Everyone paints graduating as this big celebration. You're never warned of the hard choices you’ll have to make and the people you’ll lose. The one person you never expected to lose was your childhood best friend and boyfriend of 3 years, Trevor Zegras. And you could never have predicted that you would be the one walking away. Not him.
I left you there
Heard you keep the extra closet empty
In case this year I come back and stay throughout my 20s
Your body is drained of any energy. Moving into your dorm room has sucked any will to do anything for the rest of the day out of your body. You’re excited for the new chapter that University will bring to your life but you’re also mourning the loss of the life you had before. You feel like a different person since everything in your life did a complete 180 a few months ago.
Leaving Trevor was probably the hardest thing you’d ever done. You didn’t just lose your boyfriend that day, you also lost your best friend. It was what needed to happen though. It was this one day when he made a comment about how he would follow you anywhere and give up hockey in a heartbeat that made you freak out. You had to cut ties. Trevor loved you in an all consuming way. You loved him in a nostalgic kind of way. In the way that you two had been best friends forever. You loved him but slowly you were realizing it wasn’t in that same romantic way his love for you was. It was not purely but more platonic. You couldn’t ever see yourself marrying him and so even though it hurt both of you, leaving was the right decision. If only Trevor could understand that.
Picking up your phone to check social media, you see you’ve got a missed call from a friend, well she’s probably your best friend now, since you walked away from Trevor. You choose her number from your recent contacts and let it ring until she picks up.
“Hey, y/n, how are you? Are you all settled in?”
“I’m good. It was a real tight fit, to get everything in the dorm but it worked out. How about you? How’s your dorm? I can’t believe we are literally on the opposite side of the country now.”
Your friend laughs, “ Yeah, it was quite the tight fit here too. The dorms are tiny. But I’m doing good. I’m excited for classes to start.”
You pause for a second, wanting to ask the question that’s been burning in the back of your mind for weeks now. You wanted to know how Trevor was. Trevor and your friend had always been close. When you walked away from Trevor you didn’t want them to have to end their friendship so they still hang out.
Stuttering, you ask,” Hey, um how’s Trev doing?”
“Are you sure you really wanna know?” Yes, you are sure. At this point you feel like you need it as much as you need the air you breathe. You can guess he probably isn’t doing great, you aren’t either but you need to hear it from someone who knows.
“Yes, I do.”
“Okay, well I’m gonna be honest with you.” She pauses. “He’s fucked up over you. You walking away from him really came out of the blue. He blames himself. He thinks he did something wrong.” Hearing that he thinks it’s his fault breaks your heart. All he did was love you with all of himself and you couldn’t reciprocate that.
“I-fuck. Why couldn’t I just love him back? It’s what he deserved and I couldn’t give it to him.”
“Y/n, it’s okay. In the long run this will be better. At least neither of you will be stuck in a shitty relationship. But if I’m being completely honest I think Trevor still thinks you’re gonna come back. Like you’re gonna realize you made a mistake and change your mind. You probably don’t wanna hear this but he keeps the extra closet empty. You know, just in case you decide to come back and stay for good.”
Hearing that, shatters your heart into a million pieces.
What if I won’t?
How am I supposed to put that gently?
And down the road
You will love me until you resent me
You talk for a few more minutes but then you hang up, your heart wasn’t really in it and you’re emotionally exhausted. You feel as if your body is about to combust. Sighing, you toss your phone on the bed and flop back, shutting your eyes and letting your thoughts consume you.
You shouldn’t go back to Trevor. It wouldn’t be fair to you or him. It would only cause more pain than it’s worth. But maybe a little part of you still wants to. You miss him. There is history there that can’t just be erased.
You feel like you need to tell Trevor that you really meant it. He can’t keep holding out for you. He needs to live his life. He’s at BU this year and next year he’ll be in the NHL. All you want is for him to be happy. You want him to go out and kiss other people and to find the person of his dreams but instead he’s hung up on you.
If he stays hung up on you, if he can’t move on he’ll eventually start to hate you. He’ll love you so much that it’ll turn into resentment if it hasn’t already. And even though you broke his heart you really, really don’t want him to resent you. You couldn’t stand it. He still means the most to you.
I’ve had the thought
Tried to work it out through anxious pacing
What if I’m not
Worth the time and breath I know you’re saving?
Despite being tired down to your bones, you slept horribly that night. Knowing that Trevor might be up at this very moment, not being able to sleep because of what you did is killing you. You aren’t worth this much thought or time. He could have anyone. Any kind, beautiful person that he wants. Someone who can give him everything but instead he’s agonizing over you. For fucks sakes he even has a closet empty just for you. He must really believe you’re coming back.
It’s your first night sleeping in your dorm and that isn’t helping either. You look over at your roommate who is peacefully sleeping, wishing you could be doing the same. You grab a water bottle and chug half of it trying to gain your bearings. Your mind is running wild and you need to do something.
You start pacing back and forth, in your tiny dorm room. You really hope your roommate doesn’t wake up because you don’t need someone you barely know thinking you’re crazy.
You just want Trevor to just move on. To not let you live rent free in his mind. You aren’t even worth it. You’ve seen how many other girls are after him. He could have any of them. You aren’t worth it.  He’s saving too much for you and he needs to let it go.
But it’s a lot
All the shine of half a decade fading
The whole facade
Seemed to fall apart, it’s complicated
You’ve known Trevor for your whole life and liked him for 5 of those years. Until it just kinda stopped. You stopped wanting him so much romantically and you just wanted to go back to being best friends. Part of you, a big part, wished you had never even dated in the first place.
A few months before graduating everything started falling apart with Trevor. It stopped feeling right, your relationship. It stopped feeling like where you wanted to be. You hoped it would pass but it didn’t. The feeling kept growing and growing until it felt like there was just a huge hole in your chest where something wasn’t quite right. Where something was wrong.
And part of me wants to walk away 'til you really listen
I hate to look at your face and know that we're feeling different
'Cause part of me wants you back, but
I know it won't work like that, huh?
Weeks fly by but it doesn’t really get that much easier. You’re happy and you’re making friends but you still miss Trevor. And you’ve gathered from talking to hometown friends that still talk to him, that Trevor isn’t really doing any better. You can’t get past the fact that you’re the one making him hurt like that.
It’s completely sudden. You aren’t expecting it. There’s no text, no build up. Just one day out of the blue he calls. You don’t want to pick up. It’s only gonna lead to false hope for him that you want to get back together and false hope for you that he wants to simply just be best friends again. But you can’t help it, you pick up the phone and answer.
“Y/n,” Trevor says the moment you pick up, sounding a little breathless.
“Um, hey Trev.” You don’t know what else to say so you leave it at that.
You hear Trevor mumble, “Oh fuck, there’s no way i can do this.” and then he starts talking.
“Y/n, please, please tell me what I did wrong so I can fix this. I miss you. You’re my best friend and the love of my life. I need you.”
Fuck, you won’t get through this. You can’t stand to talk to Trevor, knowing you both feel completely different. And it’s the fact that he thinks it’s his fault. That he did something wrong.
You desperately wanted to tell Trevor that you would come back, that it could be like old times but you can’t. It would be a lie. It could never be the same ever again.
A part of you wants to go back and just say fuck it. You want your friendship back so badly that you’re willing to fake the romantic part. Maybe you’ll eventually for real fall back in love with him. It’s possible, but you know that’s not right. It won’t work like that.
“Trevor, you didn’t do a single thing wrong. It just wasn’t working. It wasn’t meant to be forever. I have so much love for you still but not in the same way that you do. We can’t keep doing this to each other. We need to get past this. Hanging up the phone was hard. Sitting with your thoughts after was harder, but you’ll get through it. You did the right thing.
Why won't you try moving on for once? That might make it easy
I know we cut all the ties but you're never really leaving
And part of me wants you back, but
I know it won't work like that, huh?
In the weeks that follow you don’t hear anything from Trevor. Until mid November and then everything starts seeping back in.
First it’s a text. A simple, hey, how are you? And you know you shouldn’t respond so you don’t. And then it’s pleading. It’s text saying we need to talk or I miss you. And you almost respond to those because you can’t bear to think that you are causing Trevor so much pain. But again you hold out and don’t respond. It’s when he starts picking up the phone and calling that you can’t stop yourself.
He called you once, you didn’t pick up. He called you a second time, and still you restrained yourself, but the third time was when everything went crashing down.
You had been having a really shitty day to start off with and you were already in the worst of your feelings, so when Trevor called it’s like it breaks a dam inside of you. A wall that had been holding strong but was now toppling over.
You pick up the phone and for a minute it’s just dead silence. You hear Trevor’s breathing so you know he’s there but he hasn’t said anything. So you decide to speak first.
“Trev, I thought we agreed to cut ties. We can’t keep doing this. You need to move on. This isn’t healthy for either one of us.”
“ Y/n, you’re the one who said we should cut ties, I never agreed. I need you in my life. I miss you.” The desperation in Trevor’s voice makes you want to cry. It makes you feel as if someone took a jagged piece of glass and cut open the wound that was slowly starting to heal. The wound that you inflicted by walking away. A part of you still wants him. But you can’t. You just can’t. It isn’t possible.
I'll open up
I'm thinking everything you wish I wasn't
The call was tough
But you're better off, I'm being honest
You take a deep breath. You need to give Trevor the closure he needs and then leave for good. You need to explicitly say that this won’t work. You need to tell him without any fancy words that he needs to accept that you're not the one for him.
“Trevor,” you plead, needing him to listen, “You need to walk away. I’ve been trying to for months now but you keep pulling me back in. I’ve already moved on but you’re the one who won’t let me leave. We were what we were but we can’t be that anymore. I’m not the same person I was 3 years ago and you aren’t either. Let me go and in the long run we’ll save each other a ton of hurt. I love you but this won’t work. You have to let go. I’m gonna hang up and you aren’t gonna call me again.” You pause, catching your breath. “I wish you nothing but the best. Goodbye, Trev.
You sit in silence for a moment. It was hard. You have tried telling him goodbye before but this felt much more final. After all the other times you tried saying goodbye to Trevor, you still felt as if there was more to the story before it would be over. You hoped the story was over now. It was the best thing for you and for Trevor.
So won’t you stop
Holding out for me when I don’t want it
Just brush me off
I’m your ghost right now, your house is haunted
It took all of five minutes for Trevor to call you again. 5 fucking minutes. God, all you want at this point is for Trevor to move on. To realize this is the best thing that could’ve happened. You don’t pick up. You need to set some boundaries. You can’t keep picking up the phone when you don’t wanna talk. He needs to just brush you off and move on.
But he calls 4 more times that night. And you’re scared it won’t stop. So you pick up. Of course you do. It’s that little part of you that still wants him back that makes you.
“Trevor, you need to stop. I’m sorry but we can’t. I don’t know how many times you want me to say this. I know this won’t work the way you want it to or at all. So please I’m begging you stop. Put both of us out of our misery. You start moving on so I can finish letting go. Trevor, don’t call me again or I will block your number. I don’t want to because for some reason it just feels wrong. But I will. Goodbye, Trev.”
You hang up and this time you know. It’s final. Trevor won’t call again. You’re sad but more than that you’re relieved. You can finally start living again.
It’s as if for these past months you’ve been this ghost for Trevor. One that would constantly follow him. You were haunting him and know you’re finally being set free.
I know it won't work like that, huh?
It’s been years now. You don’t think about it often but every once in a while Trevor will pop into your mind. You’re happy. You really are. And from what you see on social media, Trevor is too.
You try not to dwell on it but sometimes you think about what might have been. What might have happened if you had gone back to Trevor. And honestly you aren’t sure. Maybe everything would’ve worked out and the two of you would be happily together right now. Or maybe it would’ve ended up being exactly what you thought would happen if you went back.
You truly believe you made the right decision in letting Trevor go. You knew it wouldn’t work the way he was envisioning. And hopefully you spared the both of you a lot of heartache.
You’re happy right now. That’s what matters. You and Trevor don’t talk much except for the occasional birthday message but maybe that was how it was supposed to be.  You knew it wouldn’t work like that and you made the right decision, for you and for Trevor. You had and still have so much love for him and that’s all it’ll ever be. And you’re okay with that. You really are.
thanks for reading 🫶

airport
vinnie hacker x f!reader
summary: basically reader and vinnie in the airport with everyone idk
warnings: fluff, swearing, mentions of sex, clingy and grumpy vinnie
Tumblr media
vinnie absolutely hated getting up early. especially when he couldn’t sleep that night, resulting in a grumpy morning.
by the time vinnie finally rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, y/n was finishing getting dressed. “are you up yet, sleepy head?”
vinnie let out a grunt, fighting the urge to roll over and try to sleep. but he knew better, and as much as he hated waking up, he was beyond excited for their trip to europe.
“baby, come on you have twenty minutes until we need to be downstairs with everyone.” y/n rubbed vinnie’s bare shoulder as he rolled up.
he grabbed her waist and pulled her into him. “vin.”
“i’m going i’m going,” he sighed. vinnie nuzzled his head into her stomach before finally letting go and getting up.
vinnie carried his and y/n’s luggage down the stairs as she took the carry on bags. “morning, love birds.” jack teased.
“wait, i have a surprise for you.” y/n mumbled, walking over to the kitchen. she pulled out a drink carrier filled with starbucks coffees and pastries.
“you’re the best, y/n!” max said happily as the boys came to collect their stuff.
vinnie pressed a kiss to y/n’s temple in appreciation and took a couple sips of his iced coffee.
“okay, the van is here.”
-
vinnie laid his head on his girlfriend’s shoulder as he drifted off in the van. the airport was about a forty-five minute drive from the hype house.
y/n tried to sleep on him, but failed. luckily, the other boys had fallen asleep and she didn’t need to worry about them.
once at the airport, vinnie again took both their luggage. y/n had insisted she could carry her’s, but vinnie just shrugged her off.
the group checked in, dropped off their bags, and headed to the short security line.
“okay, time for snacks. this plane ride is going to be long as hell.” eamon grinned as the boys ran over to the market.
the boys loaded up on energy drinks and snacks before paying. y/n grabbed a bag of pretzels, a powerade, and a few more snacks.
the group walked over to the gate as vinnie pulled y/n down into his lap, closing his eyes as he put his head on her shoulder once again.
“i’m just gonna say this before we leave- no fucking if we’re in the room.” max said sternly.
“max!” y/n rolled her eyes as she felt vinnie chuckle underneath her.
“no, y/n. i’m serious. as much as i love you i will not have ya’ll fucking in our hotel room.”
“so we just gotta make sure you don’t hear us.” vinnie smirked, finally seeming to wake up.
“i will beat both of your asses.” jack rolled his eyes, pretending to gag.
“ew, stop.” y/n laughed.
“i’m so happy we get to sit in first class.” eamon shrugged, changing the subject.
everyone nodded in agreement before the announcement came on saying that air france is now starting the boarding.
jack and eamon were sitting in row one, max in row two, with y/n and vinnie in row three. “holy shit.”
y/n placed her stuff in her pod that was directly next to vinnie’s.
once they all got settled, vinnie reached over the pod and grabbed y/n’s hand and rubbed circles on the back. she grabbed her phone and took a selfie of them.
“i love you,” he mumbled.
“i love you.”
-
the whole plane ride vinnie slept except for the last six hours. he peeped over his pod to see y/n finally sleeping, her hoodie on as she was rolled towards vinnie.
he smiled to himself as he began watching a movie, inspecting everything in his pod.
what the hell… vinnie thought to himself as he saw a giant storage space and finally noticed his amenity bag.
he was fumbling around with the items in the bag when a shorter flight attendant approached him. pulling out his airpod, he heard the woman ask, “sorry to bother you, but is she your girlfriend by any chance?”
vinnie furrowed his brows as he looked at y/n sleeping peacefully. “yeah, she is.”
the flight attendant frowned slightly. “can i get you something to eat or drink?” she changed the subject.
-
when off the plane, vinnie grabbed y/n’s hand as they all went to the baggage claim.
once the bags came spilling out, jack, eamon, and max all got their bags when y/n and vinnie noticed their’s were missing.
“you’ve gotta be kidding me.” vinnie groaned, walking over to guest regulations.
unfortunately, their luggage got lost but should be able to recover it within a few days.
“well, this is a crazy start to the trip.”

ANDREI SVECHNIKOV - HATE HATE HATE
Tumblr media
Written for @comphy-and-cozy sorry if it was a bitt late. My editing for chapters take awhile, especially if working on other stuff. I decided to cut this up, as it didn't make sense to put another scene I've written with this one. Thank you @jackhghes for helping me to semi edit this. I'm horrible at editing and it probably would take me a whole month to edit this. Also, very sorry about the delay. My ADHD just distracts me all the time, but when's not a good time to release this then now! Also for the part about reader not thinking much into it or acting on it. It's because I kinda wanted this to be a semi-slow burn, where reader is oblivious.
TW: the reader gets drugged (nobody knows, so we just say we drank a lot), drinking, reader is very depressed but is fine later on, sexual tension (briefly). Words marked with this font mean it's a flashback. People included in flashbacks will be a key part in later chapters :) Word Count: 4k? 3k? Idk.
CHAPTER 1 - Hatred
Hatred…
That’s one word you thought you would never use. Except, of course, for the times when you were younger when you would say it to your siblings when they were being annoying or making you angry, but you never meant it.
You didn’t know you were capable of hating someone so much until you met Andrei Svechnikov.
As soon as you met the Russian, you were already certain that the two of you would have little chance of getting along. You hated his arrogant behaviour and his ‘I don't care’ attitude. You usually didn’t mind when people were arrogant and had big egos; growing up, you had to encounter that a lot between your siblings. You didn’t remember much growing up, only that you were raised in Finland before you decided to move. Although it's difficult for you to recall specific memories from your time in Finland, they frequently come back to you when your siblings bring them up. Your favourite memory that constantly comes back to you is when you and your brother both learned how to skate at the same time. You both instantly got the hang of it. You had always wished that your parents could have afforded hockey lessons for both of you, but unfortunately, they could only afford to pay for one of you at a time. You decided to let your brother play hockey and wait until they could afford the lessons for you. However, by the time they were able to pay for you, you had already lost interest in playing hockey. Your love for skating and hockey did not go away, but you figured that because it had been so long since you last played, you weren't very good at it anymore. As a result, you decided to stop playing and concentrate on your studies instead. When you reached maturity, you found that you enjoyed skating more than you had in your younger years, and as a result, you chose to enroll in figure skating classes. You didn't have to necessarily turn professional; even if you weren't the best, you could still find fulfillment in what you were doing.
The day your brother got drafted into the NHL was probably the best day of your guys life. You were very proud of your brother, but also upset that he would be leaving and you wouldn’t be able to hang out with him as much anymore. The day you got a green card and were finally permitted to live in the United States forever was the most exciting day of your life. Your brother made a quick offer to live with him, and you agreed instantly. You didn’t want to agree initially and said you’d find somewhere, but you made the decision a few days later to live with your brother after you couldn’t find a place. You moved in with him shortly after you got to the United States and got settled into your new home.
You were very glad that you were able to live with your brother. It wasn’t like you could live without your brother’s help, but both of you guys were so used to spending time together and being together that it only made sense that you guys would live together growing up.
You didn’t mind living with your brother at the start, but when it turned into months, it was more annoying than ever. You didn’t think it was your brother that was specifically annoying; it was the friends he brought over. He always had you introduce yourself to his friends; you didn’t mind some of his friends, especially the ones that weren’t his teammates. It was his teammates that you were most annoyed about. You didn’t want to introduce yourself to them since you could never see yourself being friends with any of them.
Tumblr media
There’s always multiple parts that come with missing someone. One being is waiting, and the other is loneliness and quietness. You never expected you’d be waiting for your brother to return home from his trip with his friends in Sweden. You never expected the loneliness and quietness that came with him being gone. You were definitely used to it when he was on road-trips with his team, but he would always come home eventually. The days you wait eventually turn into a few months. You didn’t even know it was July until you got a text from your brother saying, “Happy 4th of July.” It wasn’t like you were just sitting at home all day; you did go outside from time to time, but you had no motivation to do anything else beyond that.
You have never experienced this before. You knew it was bad for your general health and body, but you were just tired and exhausted all the time. It wasn’t like you were eating unhealthy as well. You just didn’t go outside much and slept for most of the day. It ended up with you getting fired because of it, but you didn’t care. You disliked your job anyway, and you knew it was only a matter of time before you got the call that you were fired and when you got it. You weren’t surprised at all, only replying with an ‘Okay’ before hanging up.
Today was no different from any other day. You decided to watch Netflix and just chill in bed all day. You were probably just going to order a pizza or something since you haven’t had it for awhile and you weren’t in the mood to really cook today. You were so wrapped up in your TV show that you didn’t pay any attention to the commotion downstairs. Even if you did pay attention to it, you were way to tired to go downstairs anyways. It was most likely your friends coming over to check up on you.
“Yeah, you could just put it in my room for the time being.” The voice echoed through the hallways. You heard the voices travel to the living room before dying out. You didn't find it particularly interesting to pay attention to it, so you chose to bring your focus back to the show. After hearing your brother's room open, you finally made up your mind to pay attention to the ruckus that was going on. You waited for a bit, just listening. It wasn’t until you heard footsteps coming from his room that you stood up straight away, and nothing else was going through your head except irritation. You made it very clear to your friends that they were not to enter your brother's room. You didn’t even go in there. It was His room, Nobody else’s. You were just about to go into his room, but a voice made you stop in your tracks. It sounded oddly familiar… too familiar. You heard that voice growing up. You muttered an inaudible ‘no way’ under your breath. There’s ‘no way’ you constantly repeat those words over and over. He wasn’t supposed to be back until August. It's all just in your head, right?
It was then that the door to your brother's room opened. It wasn’t your brother, though. It was the Russian you only met briefly; your brother called him Andrei; you never talked with him before; you only introduced yourself to each other before engaging in conversations with others.
“Like something you see, milyy?” There was no mistaking the inquisitiveness behind that smirk of his as he spoke.
You never heard the word ‘milyy’ and even if you didn’t know the meaning. You decided then and there that you hated the word, regardless of the meaning it holds. “Don’t call me that, and thanks, but no, I don’t. I’ve seen better.” You smiled as you watched the smirk slowly disappear. "Sure, milyy whatever you say.” His voice was rolling to a whisper as he approached you, inches away from your face. “You definitely wouldn’t be saying that soon.” His smirk reappeared as he stepped away, watching you. You couldn’t help the redness on your face after he said that. Your throat going dry immediately. “I would rather die than ever date you.” You bit back the irritation in your voice, trying to be respectful and not let it show that the comment effected you like it did.
“Keep saying that. We both know it’s not true.” He said, walking away, before adding, “Your brother is looking for you.”
If you weren’t shocked before, you’re definitely shocked now. When you first saw Andrei, a part of you kind of suspected that your brother was already at home, but the realization didn't fully hit you until now. You pay little attention to the previous sentences and are just focusing on the fact that your brother is at home. You nervously head downstairs, multiple voices seemingly bouncing off the walls until it just goes quiet. Your mind going blank, shutting out all the other voices. The only one you cared about hearing was your brother’s. “Hey sis.” Sebastian said, already pulling you into a hug. The warmth of the hug made you feel safe and happy. A feeling you haven’t felt since he’s been gone.
“I missed you, Seb.” You mumbled low enough that only he could hear. You didn’t need any of his teammates laughing, especially Andrei.
It seems like eternity, but when you both pull away, you’re smiling something that you’ve refused to do for awhile.
“I missed you too, sis. Sorry for being gone for a while.” Seb says this before pulling away.  Andrei cuts in. “Sorry for ruining this reunion, but we really should be getting going. The boys wouldn’t be happy to wait any longer.”
“Wait what.” You ask, confusion hitting you. “Where are you going? You can’t just leave; you-”
It was like your brother could instantly sense the sadness in your tone. Because he was quick to reassure you. “We are just going to the club. You are welcome to come with us if you'd like.”
You give a nod. “Okay, I’ll come, I guess.”
“We ain’t going to babysit you all night. If you want to go home, we ain’t leaving to drive you.” Andrei said abruptly he didn’t even wait for a response before he left, probably to start up the car.
You decided at this very moment..
You hated Andrei Svechnikov. You usually don’t go out clubbing; the last time you did, it was with one of your friends. It was an experience that you never wanted to experience again. It wasn’t bad in any way, but it was the fact that your friends all left with somebody, and you were left all by yourself.
Tumblr media
“Come onnnn!” Kimberly said. She’s been trying to convince you for hours now to come with her and Lena to the club. “I don’t know.. I don’t have anything to wear.”
Kimberly opened your closet like she already knew the answer. She sorted through your clothes before deciding on a few she liked. "Here, look! Here's some that’ll look good on you.” You glance at the clothes before turning away with disgust. “I’d rather stick to jeans or something.” Kimberly's smile turned into a frown. “Alright, then how about this?" She showed you a few more options before you decided on an outfit.
You made the decision to dress down for the occasion by donning some jeans and a tank top. You chose to wear something that would be comfy, even if it is not what the majority of people would wear out, because you weren't really in the mood to go to begin with. You weren't typically choosy about the clothes you wore, but there are certain items that you either don't want to wear in public or you just aren't really feeling in the mood to wear at the moment. - - -
You were unable to recall much of what happened after that. All you can think of is how badly you wanted to leave...
Escape…
“Leave her alone.” A voice spoke from behind you as the laughter of the guys around you died down. You didn’t bother looking at who said that. You just got up, pushing through the crowded room, trying to look around for your friends, but to your luck,  they were nowhere in sight.
You felt your chest tighten, and it was harder to breathe by the minute. Your whole body felt dizzy.
You didn’t remember anything after that, but somehow you made it back home safe.
Tumblr media
There wasn’t much conversation during the car ride. You just mainly focused on your phone, unless you asked if they could skip songs you didn’t like. Thankfully, they didn’t complain; you really didn’t want to argue with Andrei about something as dumb as music.
Once you made it inside, you quickly made an introduction to a few of your brother’s friends, who all rode in different cars together. You knew a few, but it wasn’t any of the friends you usually had conversations with and enjoyed talking to. You made your way to the bar, telling the bartender what you’d like to get - on the rare occasion when you do decide to leave the house.
You made the hasty decision to go to the bathroom, hoping that your drink would be ready by the time you arrived back. You thought that if the bartender saw you leaving, that he would hopefully put your drink to the side or at least look after it. If you weren’t back in time.
It was once again the worst decision you could’ve ever made.
When you immediately returned to your spot, you found your drink already there. You weren’t too long in the bathroom, so you just made a guess that it was just made. You took a few sips.
“Is that what you usually order?” A random guy who happened to be in front of you asked.
“Yeah. I don’t drink that much, so this is the only thing I’ve tried.” I laughed slightly.
He gave a chuckle back. “I’m the same. I only like a few drinks, most of which my friends actually offered me to try. I’m way picky with my choice of drinks, so I only stick with a few I like.”
You nodded, smiling slightly. It was good to finally have a normal conversation with someone, and this guy seemed nice. You gave a quick look around. Your brother was nowhere to be found, but you did spot Andrei. He was already staring right at you, and he seemed pissed about something. You rolled your eyes. He’s always got to be mad about something; he can never be happy.
You moved your attention back to the guy in front of you. “What’s your name?”
“Tyler.”
You extended your hand to shake it as you said your name as well. Out of nowhere, you felt your head start to pound. “It’s loud in here, ain’t it?” You say, once again chuckling. You brushed it off, stating it was merely because there was loud music playing.
“Are you feeling okay?” Tyler asked, his fingers going out to softly touch your back.
It was somewhat relaxing; you couldn’t lie. You would never allow any stranger to touch you at all, yet the kindness and the gentle touches made you feel somewhat better, and you liked it. “Uh yeah. Wanna go dance?”
He had no chance to speak as you took his arm, lightly tugging on it as you led the way.
After that, everything started to happen all at once. There was no apparent cause for the sudden sensation of lightheadedness and dizziness that came on suddenly. To prevent yourself from falling down, you had to maintain a firm hold on Tyler. When he inquired, "Are you okay?" you opened your mouth to respond, but no words materialized in your mind.
The last thing you heard was Andrei’s voice.
Then it went black.
Tumblr media
You let out a low grunt. It felt as though a thousand bricks were being thrown at your back. You muttered to yourself that this would be the last time you ever drank. You opened your eyes, and although it took a moment for your vision to clear, you immediately realized that you were home, safe, and in bed.
The headache that you had been experiencing prior to this was, of course, was still present. You were in a terrible mood. You had no idea how you got home. You didn’t feel like getting up at all… You just wanted to sleep, and hopefully the next time you wake up, it wouldn’t feel like this.
The next time you woke up, you were in bed. You checked the time on your phone. The brightness of it makes your eyes fully open. It was 9:27am. You groaned. It was too early, and you didn’t feel like getting out of bed. You took a few minutes to try to fall back asleep, but all the attempts were unsuccessful, so you eventually decided to give up and get up.
The headache that you previously had seemed to pass over during your sleep. Thank gosh. You really didn’t want to have to experience that throughout the day. You quickly shower and get changed into fresh clothes. You didn’t remember much about last night, only that you met this guy and that your brother disappeared for most of the night. You were definitely going to bother him about that later on.
Right, now you were starving. You head towards the kitchen, quickly grabbing an apple before making your way towards the living room. You planned for this day to just be a relaxing day. However, as soon as you glared at the couch, you rolled your eyes.
Andrei was already awake; he was on his phone, listening to something on his headphones. As soon as he saw you, though, he took them off. "Are you okay, milyy?” He asked, sounding worried but not making any moves to get up.
You rolled your eyes. Why does everyone ask that? Of course you were okay. You would certainly know if you weren’t. You walked over silently, asking if you could sit here. He seemingly got the message and gave a nod of approval. “Uh. What happened to my brother? The last time I saw him, he was having drinks, and the next he was nowhere to be seen.” “Tony took him to his place. He had too much to drink. He said they were planning on hanging out later today, so he thought it would be easier to take him to his place.”
You couldn't help but laugh; that was so typical of your brother. It is impossible for him to control his drinking; after only a few sips, he becomes extremely inebriated. "Oh, well, that's not good at all. I should have known from the beginning that he was not a good drinker.
Andrei grinned again. You already knew what this meant. He was probably going to say something stupid to embarrass you. “Last night, it looked like you didn’t handle it well either. Compared to him, you were actually much worse.”
What do you mean by that? " I only had one drink.” You were more confused than ever. There’s no way. You've had numerous drinks before, and it’s never been so bad that you couldn’t recall how you got home. You just assumed that you ordered yourself an Uber and went home, or that your brother drove you.
“Milyy… I drove you home. Do you remember?” Andrei questioned. You shook your head in disbelief. “No? I just thought my brother drove me home or that I ordered an Uber.”
Andrei started to explain what happened, as you did your best to tell him what you already remembered so he could explain what transpired there. You were never this embarrassed until this moment. As he explained, you began to remember most of what happened.
Tumblr media
“I got you, milyy.” Andrei said his arms were wrapped around you to hold you steady so you didn’t fall. “It’s okay, baby. Let’s get you outside, okay?” You nodded; you felt sick, and the heaviness in your head wasn’t stopping.
“Can you take me to your place?” “No, milyy. I’m taking you home.” The strictness in his tone had you squirming.
You pouted; this was so unfair. You didn’t want to go home. You wanted him to take you to his place. “Ok, but I want you to take me to your home. I want to be in your bed.”
Andrei ignored your comment as he led you outside in the cold air; it felt amazing against the hotness of your skin. You loved it. You closed your eyes. This was so relaxing.
The next thing you remembered was being in Andrei’s car; he was quick to turn on the A/C due to your request. You mumbled thanks before staring out the window.
“Why don’t you like me?”
The question that came from you was so out of nowhere. You knew it, but you didn’t care.
“I do, milyy.” Andrei reassured you, his hand just slightly brushing against yours. “Then why wouldn’t you want to fuck me?” You already felt tears coming down. Were you not good enough for him? Did he not like you? You didn’t understand. The question made him immediately silent. He didn’t even give you an answer right away.  After a brief time of being silent, he replied “I’m not interested.”
Tumblr media
That’s at least what he told you. You shouldn’t care, really. It wasn’t like you guys were ever going to be a thing. You hated him, and he hated you. It was obvious, even if he said he didn’t.
“I’m sorry that I said that, but yeah. I’m not interested either. It was just the alcohol talking, not me.” You laugh, attempting to release the mood.
It’s seemingly worked because Andrei laughed with you.
“Alright, well, I’m just going to head out. Seb asked me to see if you were alright in the morning.” Andrei said, not allowing you to respond before he was already gone.
You were left feeling confused. He lied. You knew exactly what he said. It was constantly repeating in your head. “You hate me, milyy. As much as I do. Trust me, if you weren’t out of it right now. I’d give you everything you want.”
You brushed it off, assuming he may have just had a few too many drinks as well.
Right?
You didn’t see Andrei for a month after that. You were very grateful, and you seemed to forget all about that night. You wish it could’ve stayed like this. You knew it wouldn’t last long until your brother was once again bringing his teammates over. You didn’t mind, and you even joined them when they started to play a few games.
You decided to drink once again, but only because you knew your brother wouldn’t leave again. Plus, it was in your own home. If you didn’t feel good, you could easily just go lay down. The night had been going well until Andrei had to ruin it.
“I’d be careful if I were you. You wouldn’t want to drink too much like last time, right, little one?”
“Why? Don’t you want to hear me ask you to fuck me? Oh right, I forgot we both aren’t interested, so I know that wouldn’t happen.” You smiled; you weren’t drinking a lot this time only having small sips, so you knew exactly what you said. It was only to piss him off, and it worked perfectly. Because he shut right up after that.
You hummed in amusement before you made your way to where your brother was, joining him in whatever game they were playing. You felt Andrei's eyes staring at you every now and then, and you couldn’t help but smile every time you looked at him. He deserved it.
If Andrei expected you to just listen to whatever he had to say without saying anything back, he was very wrong. You hated him, and you were going to make that very clear.

HEY BESTIE!! just found your blog and I'm about to read your work. But I was wondering if you can write me a request? Please. One where Pedri (my love) is dating a female f1 redbull driver and how their relationship would be giving the schedule and stuff or if you don't know about f1 (idk) you can do like an actress!reader and pedri having a crush on her and pining over her? If you don't wanna do these, I completely understand! But be safe and have an amazing day/night.
Hi darling! Yes I can! Pedri is life, isn't he? Freaking precious (Even tho my weakness is Gavi😅). Tysm, I really hope you like my writing, please let me know!
I do know my bits of F1, not a really hardcore fan of it so I'm gonna take the Actress!Reader since I don't really know everything from it.
I did this while waiting for my class at Uni, so I hope you like it. And be safe too! Have a great day/night

Hard Crushing - Pedri González x Actress!Reader
"Oh my god, Pedri. You're really watching again The Queen's Gambit?" Fernando, Pedri's brother, asked him after sitting on the couch next to him
"Yes I am, what about it?" Pedri said not taking his eyes off of the TV
"You're obsessed with her, aren't you?"
"I'm not, she's just a good actress!" Fernando gave him a look raising his eyebrows "Ok, maybe I do am a bit obsessed with her. But she's Beautiful, have you given her a good look? Fucking gorgeous" Pedri shook his head "And don't even get me started on her look in Last Night in Soho... AND! During Black Widow? My goodness" Pedri groaned already picturing you in said movies "Also, there were a few rumors saying she's going soon to be appearing in CM, it'll be awesome to see her as a doctora"
"CM?"
"Chicago MED" Pedri replied almost instantly looking at his brother crazily for not recognizing the TV show "Si aparece ahí, me encantaría tener las mil y un enfermedades solo para que me cure" (If she's appearing there, I'd love to have a thousand sickness just so she could cure me)
"Tú estas loco" (You're crazy)
"Thank god, she talks Spanish too" Pedri says out of nowhere ", that way I wouldn't embarrass myself more than I would probably do if I ever get to meet her"
... ...
"What do you mean Y/N Y/L/N will be here?" Pedri asked in disbelief stopping his training to hear the gossip from Balde, Araujo and Ansu
"Yes, she's coming to Barcelona apparently she'll be filming a movie here so she's gonna stay for a while" Araujo explained
"And she's fan of the Barça so" Balde ended
"I know she's fan of Barça, you don't have to tell me things I clearly know" Pedri stated making Gavi laugh "Tell me more about this visit, that I didn't knew about"
"¡CHICOS!" They were interrupted by Xavi "It's not time to gossip, we've a Clásico to win!"
Pedri watched Ansu, Araujo and Balde run off not without telling them a quick "We'll talk later"
... ...
"What do you mean I'll be cooking in front and for Y/N Y/L/N?" Gavi, Ansu, Alejandro, Ferran, Araujo, Lewandoski and Ter Stegen laughed out loud after hearing the news and watching their friend's reaction
"Yes, she's coming to Camp Nou for a whole day, she'll see you training, we'll be giving her a tour and after that we'll be doing a video with her and you were the chosen one. That will make you both good" One of the staff said "Or if you don't want to do it, we can have Gavi or Lewandowski, they were also very asked for"
"¡NO, YO LO HAGO!" (NO, I'LL DO IT!) Pedri yelled surprising the poor woman, the guys laughing once more before he composed himself and added a quiet "I mean... I don't have any problem to do it. I'd love to"
"Okay, it's settled then. Next Tuesday, Pedri"
Gavi speaks up after the woman left "This is your big chance, bro. Meeting Y/N Y/L/N, the girl you've been practically in love with ever since 2019"
"What if I mess up? Say something weird? What if she thinks I'm crazy?"
"I don't think you can mess it up that much, Pedri" Ansu said shaking his head "She's a normal girl, you can do this, I mean... What's the worst thing you can do or say to her?"
"Be confident" Araujo said showing him a thumbs up
... ...
Next Tuesday
Practice had already ended, you had already met briefly the players and they were practicing while you were given the little tour around Camp Nou.
Also, while you were getting makeup done, Pedri was showering and getting himself dressed.
"How will I be able to not embarrass myself in front of her, if just by hearing her name I go like if I have a worm inside me?"
"That's a bit gross, dude"
"¡Joder!" Pedri turned around quickly nearly giving himself a whiplash and soon wished he hadn't.
You were standing there right besides him.
"Hijo de...- Ya la cagué" (Son of a... I fucked it up already) Pedri mumbled to himself but you laughed completely hearing him
"También hablo en Español, cariño" (I also speak Spanish, darling) You said giggling finding really cute his awkwardness.
Truth is that you absolutely loved Pedri and were also a bit nervous, he was your favourite player currently at Barça. And meeting him was like a dream come true.
"Don't worry about it" You said "You're my favourite player and I'm sweating my ass off too" He laughed out loud turning around to see you wearing a smile on your face.
"I'm sorry, you're just... Incredible" You blushed "Like, I've seen all of your movies and series"
"You're incredible too" you said "Like... I always see your matches and you never fail to amaze me" Pedri smiled feeling himself blushing at your words.
"Thank you, it means a lot"
"What are you cooking today?"
"Honestly, I don't know" You both laugh lightly "I just hope that whatever I'm making won't give you a stomach ache"
"You can't be that bad"
"The only thing I do great is serve a glass of water and burned rice" You laughed
"I trust you" You said smiling lightly "You'll do great" You showed your fist up, waiting for him to bump his with yours, when you were called to start recording
"God, she's so beautiful" Pedri mumbled but you still heard it
"Thanks. You're pretty handsome too" He groaned making you laugh. You were teasing him but at the same time you were waiting for him to lose his nerves and you, lose yours.
... ...
Pedri thought this was the worst and best day of his life, you were chatting with him while he was cooking.
Don't get him wrong, you're beautiful and chatting with you was easy, his nerves turned into excitement while talking. But also, the talking with you made it for him a bit impossible to fully concentrate in the cooking.
He just hoped everything tasted good. Or eatable.
"This is really spicy" You said taking a bite from the chicken and coughing up a bit "Like really, really spicy" The whole crew laughed and Pedri covered his hands
"I'm sorry" He said
"No. I like it, I just wasn't expecting that much" You pronounced That heavier making them laugh once more "But still this is delicious" you gave another bite to the chicken showing a thumbs up
"Rate 0/10?"
"9" You said inmediately "For those who say Pedri can't cook"
"Yo tambien lo digo" (I also say it) Pedri, himself said it in disbelief, you liked his food.
"Probablemente me de un dolor de estómago mas tarde, pero, por ahora está buenísimo" (It'll probably give me a stomach ache later, but, for now this is good)
"Esto ha sido Cocina en el Nou, si te ha gustado deja un like y sigue al Barça en todas las redes sociales" (This has been Kitchen in the Nou, if you liked this video leave a like y follow Barça in all social medias) Pedri said as you both waved at the camera
You stood besides him giving him a hug and soon the cameras stopped rolling only for the staff to bring you a Barça shirt.
It was your size with Pedri's name and his number 8.
"Thank you!" You said smiling. Both of you posed for a picture as Pedri quickly signed the shirt for you "It was a pleasure meeting you" You said hugging him once more.
It was almost time for you to go
"CanIhaveyournumber?" He asked quickly as you blinked a few times to recover from his quickness
"Pardon?"
"Can I have your number? It was really nice meeting you too and I would love to chat with you more, without cameras if you'd like" Pedri said.
You smiled
"Only if you take me out on a date"
"Only one?"
"You need to win me over, González. If you keep this moves up, you'll do it in a snap of fingers tho"
You didn't need to say it twice.

Omgggg i saw your requests are open… if this interests you at all I wonder what your thoughts would be on reader and Minghao talking through kinks n what they’re into together before trying them? Like a “idk if I’m into doing that to you but I’d love u to do it to me” or whatever u want. I just think you would write it so safely ~ ANYWAY thank you for entertaining requests and congrats on your milestone!
This is such a fun request, thank you for your kind words and for coming to ask for my thoughts 💖💖💖 and thank you to @sluttyminghao for her ideas on Minghao's kinks 😍
Warnings: wax play mention, shibari mention, edging mention, kink negotiation, no actual sex
Tumblr media
"Are you sure we can't just... talk it out?" Minghao asks gently, eyeing the way your trembling fingers straighten the list out on the table between you for the fourth time.
"Yes, I'm sure! You know I'm a very organized person, Minghao," you remind him, like he could forget how much you love your lists. You keep one for outing ideas, one for important dates, one for your meal planning and grocery shopping, why wouldn't you keep one for your kinks too?
And not just yours, but Minghao's too, apparently.
He doesn't mind, loves that you pay so much attention to him, but he does wonder when exactly you started this list and when you decided he deserved to be added in.
You've got one of his so far, the one you discovered naturally, but you'd asked him to sit down with you so you could hammer out the rest. It's not the most romantic thing in the world, but for whatever reason it feels like it is, and Minghao has half a mind to count this as a date.
You haven't been together long, just reaching the four month mark last week, and you've been having sex for a much shorter amount of time. Not long at all really, just since your last duo painting class had him practicing on you instead of a canvas, which would make it about a month and a half.
You've grown a lot closer in the little time that's passed, and he assumes it's what gave you the courage to ask him to do this even though you're clearly nervous out of your mind.
He takes your hand in his, gently prying the pen free and starting to massage your palm as he speaks calmly, "Okay, my love, let's go through the list. You already have edging, so that's a good start for me."
He takes a steadying breath, suddenly thankful for your desire to work on the list because it gives him the opening he needed to broach this topic with you. There are things he's been picturing with you, things he's maybe not ready for yet and things he doubts you're ready for, but it's good to get the ideas out in the open now.
"I would love to try wax play," he says quietly, watching your face for any hint of uncertainty. What he finds is surprise, intrigue, nothing negative. It emboldens him to elaborate more, "It's like another form of artwork, making patterns on your skin with the wax, watching you jump when the heat hits you, watching you settle when it cools and squirm when I peel it off."
You purse your lips as you write it down and he imagines you rubbing your thighs together under the table, though he's unsure if this conversation is turning you on like it is him. It's enough just to talk about these things with you, tell you he wants to do them, and it only feels better to tell you his next item on the list.
"Shibari. It's so... intricate. And the trust you'd be placing in me, to bind you like that, I think it would be intoxicating. Seeing you, all tied up and at my mercy, but with both of us knowing I'd do nothing but take care of you, it would be... perfection," he speaks thoughtfully, tracing the lines of your palm with his fingertips before intertwining his fingers with yours and setting your hands on the table.
You appear pensive as you carefully write the word down letter by letter, "I'm not ready now, but those are definitely things I want to try with you. Let me do some research?"
"Anything you need," he brings your hand up to his mouth to press a gentle kiss to the back, returning your shy smile and shuffling his chair closer to yours.
Thank goodness for lists.
