I'll miss you forever

These two still have me crying. They were definitely the farewell that hurt me the most. Marcy only ever truly connected with Andrias only for him to betray her. The subject of Anne's eventual departure was brought up repeatedly throughout the series and the characters had time to talk about it and digest it.

These two, on the other hand, I don't think they would have talked about it at any time until it happened. The girl didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to Percy and Braddock in person, she couldn't even reconcile with them. They were the most scandalous farewell and the one that felt the most real to me.

I loved the ending of Amphibia, however I can't help but feel a bittersweet taste. A part of me will always regret that it closed this way. Maybe because I can understand, as an immigrant who hasn't seen their family for over five years, how it feels to leave your family behind. I left looking for a better life, I can't imagine how it feels when it's not even an option.

It's a strange feeling actually. As the feeling that makes me understand, empathize and love this ending, is the same that makes me think that these two never deserved to say goodbye.

Is it ridiculous to think maybe this whole hospital thing and related business has mildly traumatised me? Is it ridiculous that I want to write about it in excruciating detail, just get the experience out on paper, on my blog, somewhere? It feels dumb but I want to write fic about it. I think it'd fix me.

I don’t normally post a lot of art on tumblr anymore but i simply could not not share this drawing I’ve been working on since the beginning of the month!!

very proud of this, I did the entire sketch in like four hours of extreme hyperfocus and queer emotions about pride month this year and what it means to me and how much this story means to us. it then took me the rest of the month to finish lining and coloring but I was and still am extremely proud of the posing and expressions. sometimes I struggle to capture my characters how they really are, but this one feels more Them than most of my art does tbh. I wanted to embody the love and hope of this story, and I really hope that I will someday be able to actually share it with the world. It’s become a queer narrative of hope and love and joy which we desperately need right now.
