at the end of an era
raise ur hand if you felt personally victimized by Travis playing a character with KIDS in an adventure that was going to ultimately culminate into an apocalypse event 😭👋

At the age of 17, Wyll:
Faced a cult & saved the world (or the city, which was his world)
Lost his eye
Gained massive scars
Lost his dad, his main support
Became dependent on an abusive devil
Forced to suddenly travel alone
All this in the span of one or two days!!! Any single one of these things is traumatic but all combined?? His world overturned in one night.
The tragedy is most people look at him and see a well-adjusted individual and call him boring because he says he doesn't regret it. Why would he? He was going to lose them anyway if he did nothing, so better to have them alive and hating him than dead.

i’ve read The House That Jack Built over 3 years ago now and this quote still hunts me to this day - this is what Jack Harkness is about, no more, no less, this is him

I just feel like Eddie Munson would cry while watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas, especially the scene of everyone laughing at little Grinch resulting in him acting out before climbing up that mountain to cry—Jim Carrey is a little too relatable in that for him. It’s definitely a movie you’d have to cuddle him through.

like what can i even say about the throne room scene. the way callum at first requests and then demands that they let her go. the way he says that whatever she's done won't matter and keeps his word. the way rayla says nothing and offers no defense, letting opeli paint the worst actual picture of her out of the guilt, and the way callum refuses to let her be diminished. "she's not the elf. she's rayla" because that's everything to him; it's all he needs to know (and by god does he know). the way callum not only assumes she had a good reason but refuses to make her share it. the way opeli tries to caution him with "high mage-" because she knows he's not thinking entirely rationally here and he still doesn't care. to love is to simply know this / i know this because he loves her. "it means i trust her." he loves her "unconditionally." the way she hasn't actually been in cuffs the whole time / could've gotten out any time she wanted, but rayla waited to see what he'd said and would accept whatever was given to her. and callum said "not this" (listen to me! rayla doesn't deserve this!) and gave her unconditional love instead. just. the throne room scene

I can’t explain it but “fools gold” is nostalgia and thursdays, November evenings with friends you’re slowly losing touch with, falling in love with the slow death of all things
