Way to Dawn and X-blade Particle effects comparison

I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this yet, but I was recently watching a BBS play through when I noticed- Hey. The particle effects for the X-blade looked REALLY similar to Riku’s Way to Dawn. Like. Pretty much EXACTLY THE SAME, besides the color as they are fading.

I can’t be the only one who finds that really really weird, no?

The end part of the animations does have some differences, but really only in color. Even the shape they form as they fade away is exact.

His start out a bit yellow at the center then fade to blue

This is how I originally noticed the effects, because I got a good look at them down on the attack command panel in the corner.

Anyways, yeah. That’s that. It’s pretty odd in my opinion. I also don’t think any other keyblades share these effects, either, but if anyone else finds anything then please post it lol

I had originally posted this in a discord server I’m in, and a few of the people there (including myself) theorized that it could be related to how the X-blade isn’t truly the final form of it’s“X-blade series”. That it’s like the “Way to Dawn” of its respective line, not having arrived at its final evolution yet, still on the path to get there. That’s just one interpretation, but I do quite like it.

Give me two dumbasses with self-sacrificing/people pleasing issues trying to look after each other while also bitching like an old married couple.

Give me Wars and Twilight butting heads like rams because they're both stubborn but both worried and determined to look after each other and everyone else at the same time.

Twilight has more of the self-sacrificing problems but they are both people pleasers and its a dangerous combo.

Twilight will flat out ignore his limits/hide wide spread bruises and injuries he deems insignificant and focus his attention on others even when his own bones are going snap crackle pop from head to toe and he aches worse than Legend and Time together. Be it fixing gear, soothing the others while they struggle with nightmares or chronic pain/headaches or just aches from the day. Just as long as he's helping them.

Meanwhile Warriors just doesn't have a grasp of his limits sometimes just forges ahead with task after task to keep himself busy and help and be effective and efficient. He stress projects and hyperfixates and forgets himself in the mix. He's bit great with the feelings but any other little problem he can help with he will.

Twilight catches him swaying and wrestles a bowl of food into him and pins him to his bedroll if he has to.

Then next day Warriors notices Twilight isn't waking at the ass crack of dawn for fucking once and has to keep the tired idiot from wearing himself out giving piggyback rides and doing all of the scouting on his own while hearding all of the teenagers.

A back and fourth dance ensuing and no one can really tell if they're helping each other or at each other's throats in the most passive aggressive way possible. Least until the chain finds the two of them passed out in bedroll together utterly exaughsted but finally sleeping at the least.

I dressed up as Mike Wheeler for Halloween today!

Literally no one got it!

On the bright side though, during my school’s costume contest it gave me an idea:

All people wearing costumes who are doing individual costumes and aren’t a part of group come up to the stage for the costume contest, and who shows up? One person dressed up as Mike and another as Will. Everyone asks them to wait for group costumes category because they obviously planned it. They didn’t. They walk off the stage anyway, and start talking about Stranger Things and find out they have more than that in common, and as they become friends they realize that they are in fact Will and Mike. (Also they inadvertently win the group costume contest)

Or alternatively, same scenario but with Will and Mike, dressing up in what everyone assumes is a couples costumes but they didn’t plan it, and that’s how they become friends.

I finished out tonight watching the crazy together scene. My Byler Halloween day is complete.
