This is one of the things I’ve tried to keep consistent through my comics, the fact that Stanley never really signs with or at The Narrator. He can understand it fine but they’ve been communicating through thought ever since the parable so they don’t see a reason to start signing now

Neither of them understand how or why this ability was carried over to the real world. But to be fair they don’t understand why they themselves were carried over to the real world so maybe it’s best not to think too hard about it

Do you ever think about how there totally could have been an old classmate of Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth in the audience during like turnabout sister or turnabout samurai. Do you think they would realize? Like “hey, were those the guys in my class in like fourth grade? I kinda remember them. Wonder if they remember each other. But it was so long ago, I doubt they would even care.” Meanwhile Edgeworth and Phoenix are undergoing the most insane mental battles where both of them are going “I recognize my best friend across the courtroom and I desperately want to be close with them again.” And “god he is so god damn annoying I wish he would die already.”

Catching up on the whole watcher situation because I ironically stopped watching their channel regularly because I didn’t like how expensively produced their shows were compared to Buzzfeed Unsolved’s simplicity

taking the fact that ribbon’s name is ribbon entirely too far (and going off their designs) i think it’d be cool if ripple star fashions leaned into frills, bows, and long or exaggerated silhouettes

since the planet is literally just a heart shape i imagine their aesthetics lean into that sort of romantic and elegant vibe. a lot of ivory, pinks, and reds

(ripple dresses up a little different to see her friends tho)

also flower and butterfly motifs. because they’re fairies of course <3

think it’d be a little ironic if butterflies were a symbol of beauty and all that…

also she’s friends with carol and dedede. they can go to pta meetings or something /j

btw ripple star probably exports a lot of silks (because silkworms in a land of butterflies feels right) and luxury items whereas dreamland is more agriculture focused + maybe some livestock and furs

…yeah i’m saying these places reflect their rulers basically. ripple star can be a little more traditional and whatnot. that’s what makes ripple so endeared to her dreamland friends—they’re silly! and yeah, tragic princess angle, it’s my favorite trope—i think that would really pull at her heart

Jon becoming KiTN in Winds (specifically) would actually be bad as far as themes go

#hot take of the day y’all 🌚 #idk if I’ll write about this more in depth one day but…… #jon is going through a traditional hero’s journey - perhaps almost very literally #he is currently at the lowest point of the journey which is where the hero faces his toughest mental and maybe physical battles #winds will be his innermost cave (like a gaze into the abyss) + ordeal step which have to happen before his reward (apotheosis and boon) #so unless grrm wants to paint him becoming kitn as his lowest point thematically which could mean jon knowingly usurps his siblings #-because let’s face it him being robb’s heir while valid still comes with A LOT of issues- #there’s just no way his ascension to the northern throne could thematically be good for anyone but most of all him #I tend to think that jon will be tempted -this will be his gazing into the abyss part instead of the usually accepted theory #that he just doesn’t do anything at all for the whole book- and that is what will create the most believable narrative tension in his arc #but he won’t go through with it and will ultimately choose to sacrifice himself AGAIN #pulling back from the abyss before it’s too late #so yeah his kitn prospects for winds don’t look very good….sorry to say guys :( #but if we talk about king of WINTER…that’s a different matter yes? 😀 #asoiaf #valyrianscrolls #jon snow #preparing to be excommunicated from the fandom in 3 2 1…

i won’t hold people to the same standards i have on myself in terms of friendship bc everyone shows they care in different ways

#this is a part affirmation and part intro to a rant i need to unleash #but i’ll leave it in the tags here bc it feels safer lol #it’s abt my housemate the other day when we had our last class which is online but our previous classes were in person so as a class we #usually just pull it up on the main computer and broadcast the zoom in the classroom #but on this day the class before this zoom class got out early so lots of people went home early to just watch it on their own zoom or wtvr #so the row i sit in was pretty empty except for me my housemate and our two friends #and usually my housemate sits on my right but she got up and moved to sit on the other side next to our other friend and said nothing #and i didn’t want to say anything bc i was kinda sad/offended even though #her moving seats probably has nothing to do with me and much rather her personal preference i can’t help but think negatively abt myself #also one morning we were both off she went to the smoothie shop and coffee shop and just went to pick up her orders and i felt the same #reaction of like sad/offended bc she didn’t consider me at al like what if i wanted a smoothie too! #so for context #(this is going to be quite long) #I live in a house (college residence) and we do social events and stuff together to build unity through the trauma of academic pressure #one of these social events is darb talks/PowerPoint karaoke #where for darb talks you can give a presentation on literally anything you want #I’ve done a half hour long speedrun of Kirby lore #and I’ve also done a presentation on the undertake multiverse and sanses #expecting it to be haha funny for one night and then never brought up again #and so there’s another thing at this college called ditch day #and for ditch day seniors plan activities for underclassmen to skip class doing #it’s like an officially registered school event and teachers are obligated #to give us extensions for our problem sets and such #there is also fitch day #which is fake ditch day where you don’t actually get to skip classes and it only takes place in the morning #and these are usually just the seniors messing with us for their entertainment #so they did. a bunch of sans themed events. #not even undertake. themed #just sans themed #targeted specifically at causing psychic damage to me #there was also a fingers in his ass Sunday singalong at the end of it #truly a time

#long very boring and unnecessarily detailed tag monologue incoming‚ feel free to skip: #this is going to sound like a silly thing to be hitting rock bottom over #but i’m fairly certain i have a semi-rare skin condition known as sensitive skin syndrome #which is basically where skin gets progressively more sensitive #until it won’t tolerate the topical application of anything at all without getting irritated #usually it happens to people on the skin of their face and i have it there but i also specifically have it on my lips #(which apparently is extremely not normal; i found a dermatologist’s case study from like 2019 of one woman who had it on her lips #and according to this case study there were no other cases of people having it on their lips #in all the dermatological literature he had read) #i can’t follow the protocol which all the journal articles i’ve been able to find say is helpful for the rest of the face which is basicall #leave the area the heck alone for at least a year #because if i don’t apply anything to my lips for more than two or three days they will get so dry they crack and bleed #so it’s looking like one way or another i may be having to deal with dry burning irritated lips for the rest of my life #and i’m not dealing with the thought of that very well #i’ve already suffered so much anguish from extreme sensitivity on the rest of my face #and not being able to take proper care of the skin there #and this is just too much for me #i know God is allowing this for a reason but it’s filling me with so much frustration and panic and despair that i don’t know how to go on #but i must and i will #this isn’t a serious or a life-threatening condition but it’s looking like a pretty hopeless one and it’s hurting me badly #and i would appreciate prayers that it would just be healed or that i would know what to do #i think i will try going to my dermatologist but somehow i doubt she's even heard of sensitive skin syndrome #on a COMPLETELY unrelated note i'm just about to get my period and also for two days i've ''eaten'' nothing but vegetable smoothies #and those in pretty small amounts because they're disgusting #(do a detox my hormonal health doctor said) #(it'll be fun she said) #ok if you read this far you're so brave braver than any u.s. marine etc. #thanks for reading ily <3

Thank you my dove <3 no it’s literally the most ruthless thing ever. People don’t understand the mental stamina it takes to fulfill all facets of the application med schools expect. It’s more than a full time job—sometimes it doesn’t feel like there are enough hours in the day tbh, between doing research and volunteering and shadowing and gaining hands on experience. And don’t get me started on the mcat lmao, preparing for it feels like I’m training for the Olympics. I’m into it most days, it’s fun to be consumed by something you’re truly passionate about, but I also completely get how it predisposes all of us to frequent burnouts. Add to that the stress of meeting the still more extraordinary, still more impossible standards of elite med schools…

#And usually I wouldn’t give a fuck for prestigious names but I want to become a surgeon #And surgery specialties DO care about the school you went to. They care ab the prestige #So I’m trying to score the highest I possibly can and just go above and beyond #To clarify a big part of it (the biggest part) is bc I’m passionate about everything I do #But I also know it’s what they’d want to see #I get the most shocked looks when I tell people I want to become a neurosurgeon LMAOOO #And even for someone like me who loves school it’s such an overwhelming thought at times #But it is unfortunately what I want to do w my life… I don’t think I’d be happy settling for anything else #And ik id want to be doing this even if i were the richest person alive #So im doing it for the right reasons & that’s why im sure of my trajectory
