lmao i'm sure i'm gonna end up referencing some things slightly beyond the remake i'll keep it as spoiler free as possible

favorite thing about them: this is a matching one with Aerith but I love that there's no real animosity between the two of them over Cloud. they're still girl best friends!! It's so cute and speaks so well to both of their characters.

least favorite thing about them: Uhm I don't think I have any complaints?? So I guess I'll just share the funny anecdote of whenever I was a teenager with a crush on a character I wouldn't like their love interest and I had/have a crush on Cloud so I didn't like her when I was a teen lmao. Now I'm old and bi and smarter and know she's big sexy.

favorite line: the main FF7 trio gets a matching set of favorite quotes so for tifa's it's "I'll smash 'em!"

brOTP: I mean I also just romance ship it but her and Aerith are so cute every single time they interact. I'm glad they've upped that even more than it already was in the original.

OTP: Cloud, it's the Basic Answer but riddle me this! It's Fucking Good they're a good couple and one of the best written video game couples of all time. I can't wait to get to (REDACtED) and (REDACtED) in the Remake lmao.

nOTP: With Reno, I've got some out-of-canon issues with this one that makes it a weird trigger for me. At least it's got a name so I can block it on everything.

random headcanon: tifa kept up with her piano lessons and is actually really good at it! She doesn't get a lot of opportunities to play lately though so she's a little rusty.

unpopular opinion: So much parallel stuff with tifa and Aerith but with the 25 year shipwar I'm just like. "You realize tifa/Aerith would not like you for being mean about Aerith/tifa, right?

song i associate with them: Oh my god I'm so bad at song associations. I don't actually make them for characters that aren't OCs most of the time. I'm gonna cheat and just say her theme lmao.

I love your writing and Leatin fics! You definitely, 100% carry the Leatin ship! One thing I've noticed is you don't really describe more intimate scenes much. Which is totally cool (still carrying the ship and the best Leatin writer). Just curious if that is intentional and for your current fic, I know Fatin takes Leah's virginity - Will that be described at all? Much love, Anon

Thanks bud! I take my job carrying this ship very seriously lmao (that’s a joke; it’s not just me, obviously, but it does seem like you all want me to have an actual god complex). And you should know by now that when you give me an opportunity to ramble, I will take it. So don’t be surprised if this gets long.

First, let me start by saying my strength is dialogue. I’m shit at describing most things, period lol. It’s not just intimate scenes; I just lack the ability to write pages and pages of description unless I consciously force myself to try to do it. It’s an area I’m trying to work on, is what I’m saying, because dialogue has always come easier to me so I might as well attempt to hone other skills.

Second, I don’t write smut. One, writing it doesn’t particularly interest me, and two, it slows me down. I’m a pretty fucking fast writer in general (at least, when the words want to flow) and smut forces me to stop and think too much and disrupts my ability to keep throwing words down. I don’t find this to be an enjoyable challenge, and I don’t usually find a reason to linger on intimate scenes more than necessary for the story. I like to focus on a few small, possibly unimportant, details. Depends on what I’m going for in a particular fic.

Now for this fic in particular, there really aren’t many details. We do see Leah and Fatin’s relationship progress, but there isn’t anything explicit. It’s like half due to my lack of desire to write smut in general and half due to the fact that, in the flashback chapters, they’re a tad younger than they are even in canon. So it would weird me out to write smut in this fic even if we forget about the fact that writing smut is already not my thing. But I also don’t see a reason to completely shy away from acknowledging the way teenagers behave. I was a teenager just a few years ago; I still remember what that shit is like lmao. I just don’t see a reason to go super in-depth with the detail of them actually having sex when the way it affects their relationship and their emotions surrounding everything is the more important piece to focus on. To me. And I write the story so I decide what I think is important, right? Lol

If what I just wrote makes no sense, it’s because I’m trying not to spoil too much shit that hasn’t happened yet. I could talk more about it - shit lol probably after chapter eight? Don’t quote me on that. Also, as expected, this did get sorta long. Sue me. Except don’t because now I’m not gonna be a lawyer lmaooo. Anyway, I hope I at least sort of answered your question.
