Roswell NM 2x01

Ngl: I spent like the first third of the episode grumbling about when would Rosa finally have a scene and not paying attention to much else xDD (well, except at how horrible Isobel’s outfit was. That cannot be unseen). She’s so amazing! I loved when she started complaining about Liz wearing her necklace LMFAO (”and where is my Hole t-shirt?” “next time BURY ME WITH ALL MY STUFF” “I’m the hottest 31yo!” ILU).

And you could tell how the change on her dynamic with Liz --that is now older than her; what a nightmare-- is affecting her. One thing I do not like is the whole “Max deserves to live more than me” stuff. Ugh. And that she doesn’t know what the cover up of her murder did to her & her family’s images. I hope she finds out and she gets to be angry at the pod people, but I doubt it *sighs*.

My favourite parts of the episode were Rosa & Liz talking about their mom (I want to meet her so badly) and singing in the car, and Rosa & Kyle’s scenes. Especially the latter. Gosh. My kids. Between Rosa thinking she’s going to screw up her second chance at life (and opening up about it), and Kyle talking about how his father and sister had died knowing him at his worst. My kids :((

My heart broke for Liz in this episode, too. Her scene in the bathroom was A LOT. And I love her determination and her sketchy science experiments (even if I’d be more than fine if the show took Max at his own damn word and didn’t bring him back. Not gonna happen, but hey. A girl can dream. Just because resurrecting Rosa bought him some good will from me doesn’t mean I stopped finding him boring and annoying, js).

I liked Isobel more in this episode than in the entirety of season one. IDK, I guess I though her freaking out over the delay in Noah’s cremation was charming LOL (“I WANT THOSE FREAKING ASHES!!”). I’m interested to see where her plot about taking her powers to the next levels goes, too. And I felt so bad for her when she discovered she was pregnant. Poor thing (though I’m also looking forward to that storyline).

Michael is such a mess smh (understandable, but still). I liked his scene with Alex; I think those two are at their best when the show leans into the disfunction (and seriously Alex, what the hell were you thinking handing him over his mother’s file like that ffs). I got a lot of feelings about his “I wanna be good for somebody” quote --though ofc he had to go and try to purposely screw things up with Maria. In a frankly appalling way.

Maria’s mother better be alright (though I hope this gets Maria herself her own plot soon. And that someone tells her about the freaking aliens already). And someone please tell Papa Ortecho that Rosa is alive.

LMAO at Alex wanting to keep his father in a coma xDD. Same dude, same.

Sheriff Valenti is so hot *dreamy sigh*. Can she be included in the main plot?

Lately I’ve been thinking of trying out the old show and see if my reactions are different, but a.) no Rosa, b.) feels like too much of a commitement rn xD

Are you ok? (So-so length Loki x Reader)

Description:The avengers are having a function at a beach side club and You have a bit of a panic attack. Your boyfriend Loki (uwu) tries to comfort you without bringing up more pain.

Author note: I can do a part two if any of you would like?

Warnings: none, I wouldn't say this needs a trigger warning but there is some emotional denial from the reader. Flwuffy :3

You ran to the sand as tears overflowed.

Loki noticed you running from the party immediately put his drink down and excused himself from his conversation with Thor and Cap. He followed you concerned as to why his usually bright giggly girl would be leaving so abruptly without saying goodbye. It was quite uncharacteristic of you. Matter of fact you had been questionably distant all evening. Drifting in and out of conversations, eating barely a bite and even worse being very blunt with all the avengers. Usually you were very close and cuddly with all of them but you seemed completely out of it. Cap and Tony tried to coax you out but failed. Nat and Clint observed you from the bar concerned. Bruce wondered if he should ask you about it. Thor tried to be his normal grinning booming self but more considerate and Loki simply didn't like it.

You sat in the sand no longer caring if it got in your clothes. "I-I- everythings so wrong! I feel so stu- stupid Lok-i" you spluttered. Your nose, eyes and cheeks were splotchy pink and your eyelashes clung together from your tears. You sniffled and shook your throbbing head. You smiled sadly shaking your head "aha listen to me its so silly!" You sniffled. Loki didn't look convinced. His intense gaze bore down into your little face. Ugh listen to yourself! Confiding in Loki! Hes probably disgusted right now. Goodness knows you really like him but how could you let him see you so emotional. It felt so right though, you told him almost anything! letting things slip that you'd never told anyone. Ugh I hate him you thought. He gazed at you solemnly then put his hand on yours slightly startling you from the sudden brush of his soft pale skin and how cold he was. She probably thinks I'm a monster...she flinched...shes scared..nm thats not important right now. "y/n, darling, its not silly. Not at all" he furrowed his brow and pulled away looking at the crashing waves in the dim moonlight.

Loki felt almost shocked by his own actions. Key word being almost. He turned to look at you again. Studying your face for any sort of reaction. But all you did was look in your lap- you felt like you couldn't look at him. His pale pure face, sharp cheek bones, baby blue eyes with just the right hint of emerald and the way his dark locks hung around his face..... if only he could hear your heart . The two of you sat in silence patiently waiting for the other to speak. "You're so beautiful" he whispered softly. Gingerly he reached out a hand to push a strand of stray hair behind your ear. He was unbelievably timid, scared he might hurt your delicate skin. Just before he pulled the hand away from your face you grabbed it, holding it against your cheek. You smiled through a sniffle.

Unexpectedly you sprung up eager to not make a bore of the night "I think I ought to take a dip" you called while heading down the sand to the lulling waves. The air blew whisps of your baby hair around in pretty swirls. You grinned running into the divine cold water. "Its splendid! You really should get in!" You teased. Loki fondly watched finding this moment odd and fleeting...he rather enjoyed it. " I'd rather not" he shook his head at you from the shoreline. You bounded back to him thrashing the cool liquid about and sighed "how boring" you gently resigned. "me? Boring?" He pressed a hand to his chest pretending to be offended. You laughed but an uncontrollable snort soon ended it . God why do I always embarrass myself like that?

God why is she so adorable like that. He rolled up his sleeves and snaked his hands around your waist. You felt your blood pressure rise. "Y/n you should know I haven't forgotten how upset you were". You flittered your eyes away staring into the long dark beach and your face was hard and cold. "It doesn't matter" you said bitterly. Loki shook his head appalled at how you couldn't see how wrong you were. He pulled you into an embrace that beared all the love of the world. "It does to me".

Loki? Being concerned for a midgardian? Showing WeaKnEsS? What an odd thought.

You felt like pulling him in tighter but couldn't.

"I can take you home if you like?" He studied your face.

"Would, would you come with me?" You stuttered.

"If you wish I'll stay with you as long as it takes to fall asleep?" I shouldn't have said that. That sounds like I have motives.

"I would like that" you murmer with a smile and kiss his cheek.

His eyes go wide from slight surprise and he lets out a little "oh". You raise your eyebrows "Oh?" You make sure to add a little sass by tilting your head which makes him blush. "Oh" he confirms.

I think I liked the Volturi throne room much better in NM than I did in BD, it didn't make sense to suddenly change it all and I know it shows like darker tones but still...I just didn't get why they had to change it. So I'm wondering what your thoughts are on it? And is there anything that made you frustrated - movie wise?

I have mixed feelings about the change in the throne room. I really loved how it was in NM because it was very opened and sunny; I truly think vampires like having those opportunities to be in the sunlight, without having to worry about humans seeing them (like how the Cullens have a very opened home). But, I did like the kind of creepy vibes with the BD throne room and it was more close to how I imagined it based on the book’s description. But to be honest, I really didn’t like how the book portrayed it. It seemed very bare bones (stone walls with only the three thrones in the center) and had some sort of large drain in the center so that bodies could be disposed after feedings or executions. The Volturi, or at least Aro, have a better aesthetic than that. In NM, it was all pearly white marble and ornately designed; I really liked that a lot. So, yeah I agree with you because I preferred the NM throne room. Each movie they changed something because of the directors and it really bugged me (i.e: Alice’s hair length).

There are few particular things that frustrated me about the movies, and they are all Volturi related, surprise surprise.

I really wish the alleyway scene would have resembled the book scene more closely. I really like the good cop/bad cop vibe Demetri and Felix have going on. Plus, I just think it’s kind of funny that Felix is looking for an excuse to get into a fight. To be honest, it probably would have been the highlight of Felix’s week.

I wish we could have seen that scene where Gianna offers Bella tea to calm her down after Bella sees Heidi leading the tourists to the throne room. Bella and Edward get into the discussion about how much Gianna knows and Bella is appalled/shocked that someone could want to be turned by them after knowing what they do to humans. And I think this scene brings up a really huge point about Bella’s lack of understanding on the whole vampires thing.

I shuddered, “How can she want that?” I whispered, more to myself than really looking for an answer. “How can she watch these people file through to that hideous room and want to be a part of that?”

Edward didn’t answer. His expression twisted in response to something I’d said.

This paints a really great picture between Bella versus Edward’s beliefs on vampirism. Bella is shocked that Gianna would want to be turned by a coven that freely kills humans, even though Gianna is a human. Bella kind of justifies the whole vampire thing by telling herself that she will never kill any humans, only animals, because of the Cullens. I really think she kind of ignores the fact that all of the Cullens, except Carlisle, have killed humans. I think Edward takes Bella’s statement in a more of a “how could someone want to be a vampire because you would want to kill humans,” kind of way. Obviously Edward knows more about the realities of being a vampire than Bella and I think this scene could have been used to show how Bella has this very idealist view of vampirism. Throughout the whole series, Bella kind of brushes off this idea and I was really hoping in BD she would slip up so she could understand how it really is a blessing (she gets to be with Edward forever and such) and a curse (she will have to deal with constant blood lust and the consequences of giving into it on occasion). But instead she got super-self control, so yay.

The whole battle scene in Breaking Dawn makes me so livid. At the very least, the Volturi Coven/Guard, Romanian Coven, and Egyptian Coven should be extraordinary fighters because of there experiences in wars. I’m not a war expert or anything, but I’m fairly confident charging straight at the enemy is a surefire way to get yourself killed. Also, no one really utilized there gifts except Bella, Jane, and Kate, which kind of bugged me. I also think some of the deaths were a little ridiculous. Like, Demetri just kind of chilled for a few seconds as Edward flew towards him and proceeded to decapitate him. Don’t vampires have like super-reflexes? Also, I really wish Renata would have been involved in the fighting scene. That would have been interesting to see.
