Two days ago I was looking at tickets going to Vietnam with a 2-week detour in Japan and my phone buzz with Japan PM announcing all restrictions on tourism being lifted on Oct 11, so I took that as a sign and booked the last remaining tickets that exact same day.

okay so this topic about Ghost and Jade's fam in the future has been asked like REPEATEDLY on my ask box since the dawn of Jade's creation LMAO

but thanks to @alypink I finally got to thinking about it and I finally had the time to to draw it! Here it goes! (❁´◡`❁)

Ghost and Jade has three children, Andrew, Jay, and Orion.

Andrew Thomas Riley - (His middle name is named after his late uncle, Tommy) Face looks exactly like Jade, but with Ghost's hair and eye colors. Loves Manchester City so much and dreams of being like Kevin de Bruyne. He has a bright personality like Jade, but has Ghost's competitiveness. A bit annoying, but only he gets to tease his siblings. WOULD FIGHT for his siblings.

Grace Jael Riley - (named after her maternal grandma, Gracie Le Jardin). Her nickname is Jay (Jael ("jay-el") to differentiate her from her grandmother. Face looks exactly like Ghost, but with Jade's hair and eye colors. She's into music - playing guitars and pianos - and loves to write poems. Jay has Ghost's personality and much rather stay in the corners. Spends a lot of time with her grandparents. Jay has some scary ability to make people speak out their hearts to her (blackmail). Her grandma might have some explaining to do.

Orion Riley - A child of Greek descent from Jade's former orphanage where Ghost and Jade often volunteer in. Orion had similar circumstances with Ghost. Orion's father was a drug dealer and addict, and in his intoxicated state had killed his mother. The Rileys then took him as a foster. He is distant and fearful at first, but with the family's nurturing and warm environment, Orion starts to loosen up and finally feels the warmth of a family. VERY close with Ghost and Jay.

Soon after marrying, the Rileys live in Herefordshire, where the SAS residency is. Jade opened a branch of The Garden, and Ghost himself still works as an SAS soldier. Ghost's deployments are short periods, but a lot of deployments every year, so he tries to spend as much time as he can with his kids when he's home, like playing football with Andrew, singing with Jay (however... unique his voice is), and draw with Orion. The way the kids IMMEDIATELY falls asleep when Ghost's reading them bed time stories AAAAAAA.

A very equally disciplined and warm home, they have their shenanigans, but they work every issue out. The grandparents often come to visit and help Jade take care of the kids when Ghost is not home.

Former MI6 black agents from mom's side of the family, and full-on SAS operators for dad and the uncles. Safest group of kids on the planet.

Well First off I would like to say that Idon't really do "best freinds" in the same way I almost never have favorites of anything.

I like all my friends equally, I do however have long time friends but that is more how long (5+ years) I've known them thing.

But anyways I only got one long time friend on tumblr and that would be @splashcatstudios

I also have a few friends I made before I got tumbler but lack their tumblr user name outside of @princesscolumbia who is one of the amazing writers I know!

I have made plenty of friends since I've joined that I talk to over discord such as @duran301 @jdeck306 @cinnavanillamelody @asktwilighteclipse @ask-space-race-mod @thedumbguywithaheart43 @rooster-does-art @tekbro @a-spoonful-o-generosity a few others I'm probably forgetting off the top of my head but I love them all even if I'm a forgetful little gremlin.

I also have my two partners that I'm in a poly relationship with @flareflarerp @chromaslip

as for acquaintances, I'm not certain on what qualifies as an acquaintance in Tumblr other than maybe some blogs that I've sent asks to (after getting over my social anxiety).

I have interacted with a few other mods outside of their blogs (mostly over discord) but haven't talked much to them (yet?) but I enjoyed the small interactions we had even if they themselves don't remember.

I'm unsure If I wanna put them here as I don't know them well enough to @ them and I feel like I would be violating some kind of boundary.

As for rivals I'm not sure I have one at least no one has come forth about it... not that there is much to be a rival about with how little I've been. doing on my blog as of late >.<

Maybe that will change after I finally get back to drawing (and transitioning to digital from traditional aaaaaaa) when I get the adapter for the tablet i was gifted.

ok I got a headcanon that I’ve seen around the pirate smp stuff I’ve seen around but I think I can add to it so

All of boatem minus scar are dead and they blame scar for their deaths so they have very strong emotions towards their predicament

The four are stagnant spirits and they are forever stuck feeling what ever they were feeling before they died but turned up to 11. 

In other words They are the remnants of the dead boatem crew only snap shots of their final moments

Grian is full of rage because he like the others thought scar was a friend but more so than the others he wants revenge

Pearl is a tearful mess when she swam up for air only to feel the bottom of the boat she felt despair because she knew she wouldn’t make it 

Impulse is constantly jumpy and panicked because before he died he saw a hole dang shark swimming right towards him(it’s an understandable reaction )

Mumbo feels empty and hopeless because his death was a lengthy one he was hurt at first but by the time he died he was just tired and done with everything

It’s pretty dark but the concept is already pretty dark 

THIS IDEA IS SO COOL MY GOD KJWIAWIWJD and i love how the remaining emotions kind of fit their characters too </3 mumbo AAAAAAA

Hi, not sure if you remember me, but i sent an ask a while ago saying how i love the Incadescence of a dying light and that i talk about it with my friend and how we both really liked the story and are juts you know discussing it well update to now. we still do that lol. i cant stop thinking about it, i listen to the firewatch OST on the daily, resonating with each track at a time. I love it. I live it. I am enamored. Everytime Im studying Polish (my native language) and revising each epoch for my upcoming finals i cant help but connect themes and motives to that wonderful story of yours. If i land on a fitting topic in my oral final exam (like pop-culture, creativity and arts, certain themes in modern media) you BET Ill be talking about this fic (with all the credit I can give of course!) cause USARWSETDYRVUHUISC I cant get it out of my head. Its such an amazing example of how the media of fanfiction elevates the story to its maximum potential. How knowing the characters makes it so much easier to connect and resonate, even though Mumbo is absent from the majority of the fic, we still feel hurt after finding out whats happened to him. Like, its such an amazing creative medium I love fanfiction and TERSSXEFJNKVCRXSERARXSXERCDJNGIKKDc :thumbsup: oh gosh The Incadescence of a Dying Light. yeah so fun fact i actually had to look up what it means cause i didnt know the word before and oh. oh. oh its so much worse and more painful. really love it, i do, oh i do! I now have acquired (idk how to spell it lul) the never subsiding lust for nature and outdoors and hiking and being a part of it. I love it, you made me regain my love for it. I like your point about how fanfiction can maximize story potential! I think it'd make a wonderful essay topic honestly. I have thought about this in connection with fanfic a lot--specifically, the divide between original fiction and fanfiction. In original works, you have to make the audience care. You have to introduce me to a character, setting, and story I will be interested in. I've read a lot of negative book reviews that start off with "the author didn't make me care about the characters" (i have also...said this myself about books I ended up not liking.) With fanfic, you skip that step! It lets you jump right in. I don't have to explain Mumbo and Grian's friendship or demonstrate it to you. You just Know. Someone reading it fandom blind would get the implication about how important they are to each other simply by seing the depth of Grian's grief, but for my intended audience, I can do whatever I want because I trust you to already have the background information you need.

The title is from a line I really like in a song (Post Humorous by Gus Dapperton). It just...painted such a nice word picture. Especially for a story about grief death and fire!

I actually have a whole tag dedicated to her!! Just look at #Amaryllis on my blog!!

But the tl;dr of it is that in her main DnD campaign, she's a homebrew mix! Her race is Flowershifter (type of non hostile Fey) and Brightmaid (unborn child blessed by s unicorn- basically, she's a unicorn girl), and her class is muscle wizard

She grew up very isolated with her adopted dad in the Fey Wilds, bc hunters and poachers would try to capture or kill her for being a Brightmaid. (Brightmaids being easier to kill than unicorns, especially children)

Her dad taught her how to fight aggressively to protect herself, and she busied herself with reading everything she could (not very much 😔), and by making clothes.

They had very few materials, but her dad would go and find some for her, and it became one of the few ways she could express herself. She wanted to make cute clothes for herself so bad, so she learned how

She struggles a lot with understanding emotions (showing them specifically), and grew up extremely lonely. She ran away from home bc the loneliness was basically killing her, and she was finally too curious. Plus she wanted to prove that she was strong enough to protect herself now.

She longed to learn about everything she could - people, places, history, everything

But she starts out really socially awkward and unaware of a lot of societal norms (like flirting). she longs to make friends and often tries by giving them gifts (which doesn't always work in the main campaign, bc she's Fey, and some think she's trying to gain a favor)

Amaryllis loves reading, learning, sewing, fighting/sparring (she is extremely stubborn about winning), cute things, bunnies, strawberries, and cuddling/hugs/physical affection in general (bc she only got it from her dad and wanted friends to share that with)

Her dad couldn't kiss her on the forehead bc of her horn, so he kissed her cheek, and so she internalized that as a way to show people she cares about affection!!

Amaryllis is extremely demi-sexual and demi-romantic, so it takes a long time for her to like someone romantically djhcjcx which is honestly why me n my friend went with Astarion as her love interest in the playthrough with her, and if i do draw more comics, it would be a slow burn for them all fjvchchc

She's also in a polycule with 5 other boyfriends currently, her main love interest being Percival (who has a lot of similarities to Astarion fjhfjhg) and i have a ton of art of them on my blog

ive never fully rendered toothless before bc drawing dragons is like??? awfully hard for me LKDJLKJG

when it comes to lighting, i do all my drawings in greyscale first so i sort of just pick a lighting i think is cool, make it so the values are kinda nice and then i do a color pass using gradient maps to see if how i want it to look and just keep addin details from there

(i gotta preface i blacked out and got possessed by the ghost of hictooth(/p) because i have no idea how i got from my first color pass to the final /lh)

sorry i've been frozen dead for so long but (!!) i finished my first semester of uni last week (i'm studying animation now yippiiee :DD)

(tbh i really wanted to come back to posting on here but i couldnt even draw at first. the school made me feel so overwhelmed and i was even regretting enrolling at first BUT i think im finally getting my shit together and the relationship with my art is slowly starting to heal and also! we have the greatest most blorboest teachers ive ever seen and i love them and i stan them and-)
