Tubbo: I wanna patch the bridges! Sam: Some bridges when they burn are meant to remain that way. Tubbo: What did I even do to you? You're more in the wrong than I am, surely. Sam: No, you did lock me up in there. Tubbo: Yeah but you CLEARLY could get out. Sam: Well that's only because I discovered a way out. Tubbo: You didn't discover! Let's be real, you knew it was there from the beginning! Sam: No, I didn't. I didn't think I was gonna be able to get out. Tubbo: Come on let's patch things up! Sam: You never even came to see if I was alright in there. Tubbo: Why would I do that? I put you there. Sam: Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But we should definitely "patch things up". Who brought the food to me in the cell? Tubbo: I thought it was automatic? Sam: Well, only if someone is there to run the machine. Tubbo: Oh, shoot, well, sorry, that’s actually kinda messed up of me. Did I starve you a bit? Sam: Yeah. Tubbo: Well, how long did it take you to get out? How long were you there? Sam: A long time. Tubbo: How long? Sam: Long enough. Tubbo: Dude. It was, like, three days wasn't it? Be honest with me! Sam: It was months. Tubbo: How many months? Sam: Multiple months. Tubbo: You still kidnapped my child. Sam: If anything, I gave Michael one of the best experiences he’s had ever. Tubbo: Mmm… Sam: Oh, yeah, cause he’s still locked up in the attic. I’m sure he didn’t enjoy going for a boat ride across the sea— Tubbo: —Okay that might have been quite nice— Sam: —Getting to see the nighttime stars. Getting to see the dolphins jump around us, on both sides of us. Getting to run his hand through the water while the fish came up to see us. Tubbo: Okay, okay! Sam: But oh, yes, I’m the bad guy! Tubbo: Okay, okay, I see where you're coming from—! Sam: You know what being locked in a room is probably a lot like, Tubbo? Tubbo: No. Sam: It’s probably like being locked in prison, isn’t it? Tubbo: Damn, you make a good point. You’re so good at points. I'm sorry, Sam. I didn't mean to lock you up. I didn't mean, ahh, well, that's not true, I did. Sam: Look, Tubbo. Here's what I'm saying. This must remain hashed. This can't be un-hashed. Tubbo: But I don't—I wanna, I wanna unhash—DAMN IT! He left!
----
c!Tubbo and c!Sam's conversation kicked me in the guts c!sam is such an atrocious and bitter little man

I think my favorite part of my Game of thrones to shadow and bone to House of the Dragon shift of fandoms is watching how my mutuals fall.
Like my Game of Thrones mutuals ended up on very different sides of the shadow and bone discourse. Then I picked up new mutuals during the Shadow and Bone days and we’ve gone over to House of the Dragon. And THEY’VE all ended up on very different sides of the discourse.
And I’m just sitting here watching the very conflicting views past the timeline sipping my coffee, enjoying it like the morning paper lol

So I'm very curious about the whippet character in this concept art for All Dogs Go to Heaven. Like obviously it's the Whippet Angel, but they have Killer's facial features.
My theory is that this was originally supposed to be Charles Nelson Rielly's character before Don Bluth reworked the Whippet Angel into a sexy female doggie. Therefore, he made Charles Nelson Rielly a new character to voice, Killer, and gave him the role of villain lackey.
Although I refer to this unused character as "they" because it's possible they were female all along and that Don Bluth was originally going for an older, more shrewd character for the Whippet Angel.

I haven't had my meds bc of insurance for almost a week now, and I understand why I'm diagnosed with bipolor now
I'm constantly wide awake and get sucked into everything constantly. At least I can still feel my body and stay calm. Also, sleep aids help me sleep, but my body is mad tense and hurts when I wake up and I'm wide awake the instant I wake up within the second.
But at least I'm really happy, outgoing, and still normal and not stuttering and slow speaking bc of my meds.
I am mentally calm and controlled bc I still have some of my meds in my system, but it's frustrating bc of my sleep crashes and getting exhausted for no reason throughout the day

forever obsessed with dynamics between vampires, specifically that of a maker and fledgling, as a way to explore abuse. the creation of a vampire itself can so easily be a literalization of the lasting impacts of trauma and also much more simply the ways a perpetrator might shape their victim’s very identity. the extremes of isolation in the way that the new vampire, in most narratives, must cut all ties to their mortal life, or else go through an elaborate charade to maintain the facade of humanity, while forever still being removed from it. and the sheer dependence and vulnerability of being in an entirely new state of being, wholly uncertain of what it entails, and relying on another person to define… everything.

So I've been thinking lately about how Mithrun is Kabru's dark mirror (more on that another time- it needs its own post), and I thought it interesting that one of their parallels is that they were both cared for by Milsiril, but in opposite directions. She took Kabru in as her foster after he was orphaned and tried to convince him not to become an adventurer. On the flip side, she helped rehabilitate Mithrun specifically so that he could rejoin the Canaries.
And I kept wondering: why?
For Kabru, obviously she loves him a whole lot- despite any other shortcomings in their relationship, I do believe that.
Tumblr media
So I get why she tries to convince him not to go dungeoning, and, failing that, at least prepares him as thoroughly as she can.
But why help Mithrun? She used to hate Mithrun, but after realizing what a secretly twisted person he was, she actually thought of him more positively (oh, Milsiril). So it wasn't as if she held the kind of grudge that might motivate her to make his already-depleted life even more miserable by sending him back to the dungeons. And it wasn't that she felt bad for him either, since she didn't visit Mithrun for the first ~20 years of his recovery.
The Adventurer's Bible says that Utaya was the impetus for Mithrun returning to the Canaries, but Milsiril is the one who made the trip to see him and tell him about it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why would Milsiril work so hard to get her old coworker back into fighting fit? Why encourage him to return to such a dangerous lifestyle, when she was the one who chose not to mercy-kill him?
Tumblr media
That last panel is such a crazy thing to hint at and then never elaborate on. Without it we could have just thought that Milsiril wanted the Canaries' work to continue without her, even if it seemed out of character. I think some people even assume she's just a natural caretaker as a foster mom and handwave it to include nursing Mithrun too. What could Milsiril's suspicious motives be? What does she gain from Mithrun joining the Canaries that isn't an altruistic desire to see dungeons safely sealed? Feeling a sense of responsibility for the work she left behind isn't an ulterior motive.
Tumblr media
My theory is: Milsiril, knowing that Mithrun was empty save for the burning desire to face the demon again, wound him up like a clockwork doll and pointed him back at the dungeons.
Hoping that he'd eliminate the biggest threat to Kabru's life, before it was too late for him.
Milsiril the puppetmaster.

Dp x Dc prompt 7
(most likely a limital!amity park)
a feud between Amity Park residents and the Justice League but it's one sided.
any time an Amity Parker goes out of town and ends up in a location where the Justice League gets called or any member gets called, an Amity Parker Will Take Care Of It.
Amity Parkers have dropped-kicked Lex Luther, ganged up on the Joker, punted Mister Mind, and more.
The Justice League and Villains are desperately trying to find out What Their Problem Is for different reasons.
When confronted, the answers vary but a concerning consistency is "If our dead teenage superhero can take care of world-ending threats by himself, we can take care of the little things."

It's 11 PM, but one of my favorite little Darcy/Elizabeth moments happens while she still hates him and thinks he's a depraved monster, and I find it really entertaining.
It's during the Kent section, when Darcy calls at the parsonage and finds Elizabeth alone. During a longer, awkward conversation in which they both deeply misunderstand each other, they have this tiny interchange:
[Darcy:] “This seems a very comfortable house. Lady Catherine, I believe, did a great deal to it when Mr Collins first came to Hunsford.” “I believe she did—and I am sure she could not have bestowed her kindness on a more grateful object.” “Mr Collins appears very fortunate in his choice of a wife.” “Yes, indeed; his friends may well rejoice in his having met with one of the very few sensible women who would have accepted him, or have made him happy if they had. My friend has an excellent understanding—though I am not certain that I consider her marrying Mr Collins as the wisest thing she ever did."
So: they are in Mr Collins's house. Darcy tries to re-start the conversation with a polite nothing about the house. Elizabeth agrees about Lady Catherine's micro-managing, but can't resist the chance to make a sly jab at Mr Collins (who is not present) to Darcy (a genuine villain, as far as she believes).
Darcy's reply looks a bit like an attempt to redirect the conversation into safer waters (they can agree that Charlotte is cool!). But although his remark is only somewhat related to what Elizabeth said, I think it's a natural follow-up in his mind because he is also insulting Mr Collins, if more subtly.
He could have praised Mr Collins's judgment in choosing Charlotte or just said something nice about Charlotte; he doesn't. Instead, he suggests that Mr Collins's choice of Charlotte was a matter of good fortune—or chance, as Charlotte herself would say!—on Collins's part. Darcy and Elizabeth both know Collins is a fool and that his choice of a woman like Charlotte says nothing about his judgment, only about his good fortune. (Elizabeth has even better reason than Darcy to know how much Collins ending up with Charlotte was lucky for him, but Darcy can see it anyway.)
Darcy's phrasing gives him some plausible deniability, but I think he's generally quite careful with his wording and the implicit insult to Mr Collins is not accidental.
Elizabeth, I think, takes this exactly as intended. She's not at all confused about where this tangent came from or offended by it or anything. She readily seizes on the new line of conversation as encouragement to keep insulting Mr Collins and his appeal to women with functioning brainpower.
Elizabeth is pretty scrupulously polite in general, so I kind of love that she just starts venting about her absolute contempt for Mr Collins and the Collins/Charlotte marriage to Darcy in the middle of a tense and weird conversation in Mr Collins's house. And I love that Darcy, who is otherwise more or less dog-paddling his way through this conversation, is like "yeah, your friend seems really cool, that dumbass is lucky he accidentally chose someone with a brain."
Elizabeth: "Right? And, let me add-"
(Is it a bit of an asshole move on both their parts in the context of that scene? Yeah, I think a little. I also love it! Please trash-talk obnoxious hosts in their own parlours for the rest of your lives.)
