I never notice the similarities between Kid and Bartolomeo until Mission Dressrosa. You're brilliant! I mean apart from the punk aesthetic, they're infamous for their brutality. A contest between crucifixion and broadcast skewer must be.... interesting to say the least. What's with them and their obsession with torture XD.

Though if in some twisted AU Birdie manages to meet Bart instead of Kid, I think Captive will turn into thriller comedy haha! First, they might be cruel and all but they can't sail for dear life. Birdie will look at them getting seasick like "I'm captured by these pathetic worms?" Compared to Kid Pirates, I think it's a tad easier to sway Barto Club to their good side? They're such simps and they can flip a switch faster than electric light. Birdie watching them worship and cry over Strawhats.... I can hear her think "wtf"

Right?? Kid and Bartolomeo share many archetype traits. I would say that Barto is a somewhat softer and goofier version of Kid, less driven and "tormented". On the other hand, Bartolomeo goes the extra mile to be obnoxious to the people he doesn't respect, whereas Kid is more like a "kill for practicality" kind of guy. Both can be quite sadistic, yeah.

Thinking of an AU where birdie is captured by the Barto Club instead of the Kid Pirates is such an interesting idea! We have seen that Bartolomeo tends to be brutal mostly towards people he doesn't respect (or threaten his allies). So I agree with you, it would be easier to sway them to their good side. Moreover birdie could help them navigate - to an extent, as she's not a navigator herself, but I bet almost anyone is better than the Barto Club. I can't really see Bartolomeo and birdie falling for each other, but they can grow to admire and maybe even care for one another, maybe? Surely it'd be a much more carefree travel than Captive could hope to be. 😅 Although I doubt birdie would ever consider joining the Barto Club.

Well turns out the companies would have done that shit either way and had been steadily price-fixing for the last decade!

Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson just announced more than $40 million in court-ordained Fuck You money from massive swaths of food production companies are to be paid out to households earning at or below 175% of the federal poverty level ($25.5k for 1 person, $34.5k for 2 people households) before Dec 31st of this year. Cannot stress enough the extent of the conspiracies he's talking about here. 15 out of the total 19 chicken producers got nailed in this lawsuit.
