“so because I'm impulsive one time, you're questioning my judgement?”
“when your judgement makes me almost lose you, yes. I am.” he crossed his arms, licking his lips as he studied you. profiled you. you fucking hated him right now. you wanted to rip his brains out.

thx for tagging me @themuseoftheviolets
I haven't written anything in weeks (except for the posted rosekiller hockey one-shot and I don't count those lol) so here's the last thing I wrote for the marydorlene fic
“Who the fuck is Marlene?” Barty frowned at her as he kept trying to bat Evan’s fingers away from his neck where he was trying to adjust the Ravenclaw scarf Barty had insisted on wearing, even if Pandora was not on the team, they would have rooted for whatever team was going up against Gryffindor. “McKinnon.” “Why? You interested?” Evan raised his eyebrows. “I’m just curious, I felt a vibe,” she shrugged, trying to pretend like her heart wasn’t trying to claw its way out of her chest. Regulus was studying her closely. “We all know you can’t tell who’s queer to save your life.” “And yet I knew you were gay the second I saw you,” she smiled victoriously at him. Barty laughed, “Not that it’s hard to call that one out,” while Regulus remained unaffected as he said. “Thank Merlin for that.” “Emmeline had to kiss her twice before Dorcas realised maybe she wasn’t just into guys,” Pandora teased her. “She didn’t realise.” Regulus snorted. “I still had to give her a hint.” Dorcas crossed her arms and made a point to keep looking at the match. “She’s just so… She looks very straight,” it didn't sound as good of a defence as it had in her mind. “And plenty of straight girls kiss their friends when they’re drunk.”

A cord called fate (part one)
Summary: Reader is reunited with a past lover they never thought they’d see again.
Starring: Kaedehara Kazuha
Genre: Romance, angst, flashbacks, soft Kazuha
Warnings: None
Author’s note: It’s a cheesy title but I’m running on coffee and adrenaline so it’s understandable. Expect the next part to come in about two weeks. (i hate college lol) Likes, comments, reblogs and new followers will always be very much appreciated!
Word count: 1517 words
Part:: one, two
As an avid reader acquainted with various stories that romanticized fate, you couldn’t help but indulge yourself in them. Fate, despite this, was a cruel thing because fate to you was Kaedehara Kazuha.
It had always been from the moment you crossed paths on the crux right before the best few months of your life. Until then, the only love in your life was in the form of stories. Stories of unbridled passion, tragedies and unconditional love. From experience, you didn’t believe anyone could give you any of that until you met Kazuha. He was… a dream.
In the beginning, it was only his looks. Even now as you thought about him,you remembered how he was beautiful. All the heartfelt prose that described beauty in the romantic stories you read were shadows compared to Kazuha. His looks were a well mastered physical artistry.
In a distant memory you remembered his pale blonde hair and how it danced in the ocean breeze, the bright red streak of his hair reflecting the golden sunset that matched his ruby eyes. His eyes were warm and always in search of something. Some nights you hoped he was in search of you because after meeting him, only then did you feel like you were missing something only he could provide.
This admiration increased with time, its roots growing into something deeper. You began to anticipate seeing Kazuha. Your conversations about everything and nothing at all began to feel as necessary as breathing. His gaze on yours and yours on him, you both grew to depend on each other. He was like your autumn, a calmness and stability that never failed to drown out all your worries with him.
Those few months on the crux were like a dream which shattered into a million pieces all because of a letter. A letter which, if you received it months before, you would have been delighted to receive. Unfortunately, it presented the growing barrier between you and Kazuha. It was a letter from the Academia in Sumeru. An acceptance letter. You would have killed for an opportunity like that in the past, it’s all you had ever wanted. But now one of your greatest desires would destroy whatever you and Kazuha had. And it would force you to leave behind whatever remained of it.
The day you told Kazuha you would choose to leave for Sumeru was subject to calm rain. Kazuha wasn’t as heartbroken as you expected him to be. He was very happy for you. His eyes sparkled with pride which reflected in every raindrop that poured down on the both of you. That joy faded when you revealed that you would like to cut all contact with him, your reasoning being you couldn’t give him your all. You weren’t ready to dwell deeper into what you two had and your future with the academia was safe and predictable in comparison.
The calmness of the rain shifted when lightning flashed from a distance. You stood a few feet away from Kazuha, his face sombre and still unlike the storm around you. He swallowed.
“Is that really what you wish?”
Those words were almost enough for you to step back and apologize. They were almost enough to make you beg for his forgiveness and forget Sumeru all together just to be in his arms for the rest of your lifetime. Almost.
“Yes.” You averted your eyes from him. His expression was making you feel as if someone was carving your heart out of your chest with a dull blade. “It is.”
Kazuha sighed. You clenched your fists.
“The fate that brings people together is not so easily cut.” He said before taking your hands in his for what you believed would be the last time. He brought one of your hands up to his mouth before placing a gentle kiss on the back of your palm. He let go with a sad smile. “I am certain that we will meet again, in some corner of the world.”
That was the last thing he said to you before you parted ways.
Two years later, you found yourself in Liyue Harbour. You were searching for the adventure’s guild to post a commission for a list of Liyue native flowers for your teacher, Tighnari. He somehow convinced you to take a vacation from the Academia while doing this small favor for him.
“Ad Astra Abasosque! Welcome to the Adventurer’s guild, how may I help you?” Katherine said upon your arrival. You handed her the list and explained your commission to her. “Is that so?” She said with understanding at the end of your explanation. “Lucky for you, one of our seasoned adventurers is approaching right now, perhaps he will be willing to take your commission.”
You turned to where she was looking and noticed the traveler and his companion approaching the adventurer’s guild. Considering yourself lucky, you watched as the traveler came to stand before Katherine beside you.
“Hello!” His floating companion greeted both you and Katherine with an energetic wave before she addressed Katherine. “Are there any new commissions for us today?”
“You just happened to arrive at the perfect time! Someone has just arrived with a commission.” Katherine said as she turned to you, the others following suit. The attention on you was flustering and you made quick work of explaining your commission then handing the list to the traveler which he took without hesitation.
“We’ll be done with this commission by sundown for sure.” Oddly enough , those were the only words he spoke during your entire exchange. With that, he departed with his companion. You thanked Katherine before leaving the Adventurer’s guild with a goal to explore Liyue harbor.
The sun kissed the skin exposed by your clothing and it reminded you of Sumeru. However, that was the only similarity Liyue had with Sumeru. Nothing about the lively chatter between merchants and customers or the children running around in a fit of laughter was anything like the land of Wisdom. The sound of the sea was as calming as the ocean breeze that drifted around you. It had lured you toward where ships were docked. Sailors and pirates exchanged talk cheerfully and you overheard a few conversations about rum mixtures and the like. The excitement around you was contagious and you couldn’t but admire everything with a smile. That admiration shifted to something a bit more somber as you watched the waves crash against the harbour. You remembered the reason why you loved the sea so much.
You turned away from the scenery with a sigh, the sun peeking at you from the horizon. You were ready to return to the adventurer’s guild but a conversation caught your attention.
“What do you mean ‘the winds have changed’? We are to set sail for Inazuma in three days and I expect to see you at my ship before our departure.” A woman with a powerful voice bellowed from behind one of the shelves set up with various antiques to be sold to travelers arriving in Liyue.
Someone sighed. “Beidou.” His voice was soft and calm despite holding an edge of frustration. “The wind is my compass. Where the breeze goes, I follow.” Your heart burned in your chest. “Is it not unjust to deprive myself of such a freedom?”
The woman being questioned didn’t manage to respond because you stumbled into the shelf. A few things to fall over and that captured the attention of the two who were conversing.
You steadied yourself and when you looked up a familiar pair of red eyes were already locked onto you. They sparkled under the shadows cast by the sunset and as always, the man before you dazzled brighter than the few stars that had begun to appear in the sky.
Breathless, he whispered your name as if he failed to believe you were actually there with him.
“Kazuha.” Your voice broke as you said his name. He stared at you with a look of awe and confusion. He then stepped toward you causing you to turn to run from him with one destination in mind: the adventurer’s guild.
As you arrived at the guild, you saw the traveler holding a basket of flowers while conversing with Katherine. They both turned to you with confused expressions but you waved this off.
“You’re done with my commission?” You breathed, fanning your face in an attempt to recover from your running.
Aether smiled with guilt before holding out a basket filled with bunched up flowers. “Not necessarily. There’s one i failed to find but it has a very distinct scent and i know someone who will be able to help us find it.” He assured you but you could only tense. There was only one person you knew who was incredible when it came to picking up scents and- no. What were the odds that the traveler was talking about him? There are probably lots of other individuals in Teyvat who are experienced in this field of expertise, there’s no way-
“Traveler.”
And there was that voice again.
