Only Friends, a possible take on Mews feelings

(…wasn’t going to post this week because I’m still shadowbanned but here we are) EDIT: No longer shadowbanned here's a post about how I frame aceness and talking about it in BL if anyone is curious.

So I have seen a lot of confusion and different takes on Mew this week which is lots of fun and my favourite so far has been this one by @slayerkitty (If I had in fact read that one before writing most of this I probably wouldn't have bothered BUT I already wrote it and the brain rot is real sooooo....)

First and foremost I want to note that Mew has come across so far to me as rather Demiromantic & Demisexual, (which, as its my own orientation, is definitely going to involve some projecting). I do not necessarily think this IS his orientation but that's the lens this post is going to take.

(Small sidenote I wrote a long post about Aceness in BL and how I’ve related to it and seen it depicted a little while after Be My Fav ended, that I WISH I COULD REFER TO however I am waiting for the shadowbanning to end before posting it so I can interact with people. I am frustrated by this.)

We have been told reasonably clearly that Mew has never had strong sexual or romantic feelings for a person before Top and I do think this goes a long way towards understanding his actions so far.

Evidence:

He is not really seen checking out/flirting with anyone (other than Top) at any point (and in THIS show, I count this as evidence because we have seen ALL the other main characters check out people on the regular, this show is doing a good job of showcasing casual sexual attraction as a part of the day to day and Mew is not showing signs of this.)

Mew explicitly mentions that he has never clicked with anyone before, ergo he’s never really been attracted to anyone before.

Mew tells Ray that Top is the first one to make his heart flutter.

Mew seems somewhat disconnected from his friends experience with sex and attraction.

In some ways Mew even seems disconnected from his OWN sexual and romantic attraction

Do I think this means he’s definitely doubleDemi: Nope

Why this matters for my take: If Mew has never experienced attraction before, or never experienced it strongly before, then delving into his feelings might feel a lot more daunting than people might think. Because it’s not about this being his first sexual encounter/romantic relationship, its about this being the first time he has ever felt these emotions.

My take on Mew and Top

Re: Mews Virginity. Boston was the first person to tell Top that Mew was a virgin, later, in the counter scene, when Mew stops things he says ‘I’m not ready’ and then ‘I’ve never done it’. This does not imply to me that he has no experience, just that those experiences likely haven’t involved his genitals (we'll see if I eat my words next week).

Okay Ep 1 (I am going mostly off memory)

We see from the beginning that Mew is less connected into the bar scene than his friends, he’s introduced as the tablekeeper and is the one collecting people to leave once he’s had enough. He is also put forth as the one most academically inclined which often implies a sense of responsibility (while the bar scene does the opposite.)

Top, our Top Tier, (brought in by Boston so Boston could turn their fun in the phone booth into another encounter,) is intrigued by Mew for being so different from what he typically encounters at the bar scene and is successful in getting Mew to take him home.

Now, WHY did Mew agree if he is not yet particularly attracted to Top you ask? (I ask, same dif)

Curiosity

Do you know what its like for all the people around you to talk about Sex and just...not get it? To stare around at people eyeing each other up and down and feel…nothing? And I mean it’s not like Mew is celibate for other reasons…he’s just… not interested.

He’s also what 22? And Horny? (Because as a reminder Ace people still have a libido and some of them want to have sex, aceness is explicitly about lacking attraction to an individual)

So he takes Top home and then things get started and he realizes hey, no, what, I’m not sure about this.

And he stops things.

Because while he is experiencing lust from the situation, he’s not really comfortable in his attraction.

“I just feel like I don’t know you well enough.”

That is not just a line, that is an explicit feeling that I have felt. It wells up inside and squirms into every part of you. I can’t do this, I don’t know you well enough.

But it’s also VERY MUCH about both fear and control. I agreed with a lot of posts in the first few weeks about Mews desire to remain in control, but to me this is strongly linked to his possible sexuality. He is USED to feeling in control because he hasn’t experienced strong attraction before. He doesn’t know what it’s like to stare at someone and lust after them, or even what its like to dream about falling asleep in their arms.

These are brand new emotions, big, scary, new, emotions and they are probably making him feel rather OUT of control and so all the distance we see from Top, and even from himself, is him attempting to stay regulated.

He even seems aware of this in his disclaimer that if he were to go all in on his feelings, he would be a crazy stalker, because those brand-new feelings are unlike anything he has felt before. (I remember the first time I experienced it I could only liken it to extreme anger or fear, or the highest excitement, it was just so much stronger than I’d imagined)

Additional Note Re: @plantsarepeopletoo

Another part of this, which Paprika put forth and I agree with, is that Mew might be scared of his emotions because he's afraid of hurting others. He's the table keeper, the even keel, the calm one, he keeps everyone's stuff safe and makes sure everyone gets home. (And he fails at this once he starts paying attention to Top...). (But I'll get to Ray)

Let’s fast track a bit

We have a cute montage of the getting to know you, they eat ice cream, they go to the library, Top helps out with the project. The getting to know you is going well and Mew is absolutely feeling things.

And then Top jumps the gun a bit because he is still trying to fast track to the good stuff and Mew says yes to save his face.

In Ep 2

We have Mew confessing to Ray that Top makes his heart flutter (the first time this has ever happened). We see Mew starting to test his own boundaries and feelings, but FIRST we get him asking Top to backtrack a bit because he’s been moving too fast, and he only said yes because Top asked him in public.

After that boundary is back up we get Mew teasing and testing and feeling out how things stand.

What can he do that lets him explore things without them progressing too far?

If he does x what does Top assume he wants?

Because Mew has NO IDEA where Tops boundaries are, Mew’s not ready for sex, I imagine that if he could be sure that making out with Top would stop at making out he might have tried it by now, but their first make out escalated rather quickly so he is being careful. (as @slayerkitty puts it he doesn't trust Top yet) but I also posit that he may not trust himself yet.

He doesn’t allow the bed sharing, but he does later allow the cuddling. Why? Because the couch cuddle is after increased emotional vulnerability, it’s helping Mew see that Top is moving with him. It builds trust. It builds connection. It builds emotion (it builds demi stability...)

Ep 3

Not a WHOLE lot happened in Ep 3, we were very Mark and Boston focused but here’s what I got:

Mew is getting more comfortable with his feelings for Top, and he’s trying to move them towards being on the same page (I read some excellent takes on the disco scene and the disconnect between their clothing in both that scene and the later one)

He’s stopped correcting people when they say Top is his boyfriend, including Top, that was the main change we saw this Ep for the record. Mew has already made it clear that the label is important to him, and this suggests to me he is growing increasingly comfortable with the relationship.

Top is also the first one Mew calls later on. He's go to number 1.

The PROBLEM with EP 3 is 1 Boston is getting in Top’s head and 2 Mew has NOT BEEN COMMUNICATING. (Because he doesn't trust...)

Mew has been testing out his feelings and playing with his boundaries because he has genuine feelings for Top but he hasn’t TOLD Top this (he also hasn’t told us this so I could be totally wrong but - projecting) and so even though Mew is nearly ready to move things forward (next eps teaser), all Top knows is his own sexual frustration and Boston’s half truths so… it’s about to get ugly up in here.

My take on Mew and Ray

Real quick my projections

Mew and Ray’s moment from 2 years ago was probably Ray kissing Mew for a bit, Mew letting it happen (again curiosity) but stopping before things got any further.

OR Ray confessing his feelings, Mew inviting the kiss (because again, he has had no attraction before and was curious) but realizing after a bit he felt nothing and stopping it.

Mew stopping Top in ep 1 before he got the pants off makes me think the pants have never come off for Mew before.

What this means IMO

Mew is aware of Ray’s feelings because of the two years ago incident

They presumably 1 talked about it and agreed to stay friends

Or 2 silently agreed to never acknowledge it again because the feelings weren’t reciprocal and they wanted to stay friends.

This tracks for me in the way Mew seems to keep a bit of distance from Ray but still wants to be there for him, but also emphasises ‘friends’ in their ep 2 hug/chat.

Also the way Mew seems excited by Ray’s interest in Sand.

I don’t think Mew is intentionally hurting Ray, more that they both agreed to ignore it since so long ago that it’s part of the background noise at this stage.

ALSO

I honestly also think that Mew and Ray are the closest two of the friend group (I have speculated that maybe Mew was there for Ray when his mom died). (AGAIN @slayerkitty explains this well, like, their take on the friend group felt nearly plucked out of my brain). My guess is that the incident 2 years ago left them a bit more distant. However, Mew had no way of knowing Ray was with Sand (I don’t buy the encouraged him means Mew knows they’re hooking up. ‘Make sure you talk to him’ is not the same as 'take him home and do him', especially in Mew’s book)

After Top who else was Mew going to call? Boston? BOSTON?? Or Cheum?, who Mew knows came to the party with her girlfriend. (Also gender rolls and the societal appropriateness of sleeping over at a girls house lesbian or not).

Yeah, Ray is the most sensible second choice.

Astro-vations part 3:

The house that your sun is in really is an honorary sign of yours. Someone guessed my sun sign and said Scorpio. I’m a Pisces but my sun is in the 8th which is a Scorpio house. Many people have assumed I’m a Scorpio though.

I’ve noticed with myself and others that you do attract the sign that is opposite your Venus or your Venus sign.

If you feel you haven’t reached/fulfilled or come close to your NN purpose in Aquarius then it’s most likely you haven’t found your soul tribe yet. Aquarius is about the collective. Their opposite sign is Leo and Leo is about themselves. Now if it’s the other way around then you haven’t relied on yourself yet.

Venus in 10th does represent who is def seen especially for their beauty. My best friend has this and she is absolutely gorgeous. What she posts on social media is 😮‍💨🔥🤌🏽 she also doesn’t post often but when she does- everyone notices. Also since 10th is public image and status- she meets people in high places and they instantly notice her. She doesn’t even have to be gussied up either. They still find her gorgeous.

Mercury in Pisces natives are so misunderstood and underrated. It’s debilitated but in my POV and people I know who have this placement, they are SO emotionally intelligent. They actually are very very smart but they just don’t learn the same as others. Also, they do speak in circles so it takes someone with patience to understand them. Just let them talk- they will get to the point and if they don’t then you’ll be entertained and learn something new anyways cause they’ll most likely bring up a new topic 😂

In my POV fire placemehts are so impatient and want the results right away after just starting whatever they want to do lol. It’s like eating one healthy meal and expecting to lose 5 pounds the next day 😂 we know what we need to do but we just want it done already hahah.

I’ve noticed whatever rising sign you have in your SR- you will meet someone important who has that placement or embodies those traits that will affect you OR a lot of people with that sign.

Since 2nd house rules your self worth and if you’re not feeling good about yourself then look at the planet in that house (if it’s empty then look where it’s ruler is at) to get insight on how to feel good about yourself. Example: I have Virgo in the 2nd but no planets. The ruler Mercury is in the 8th house in Pisces so whenever I talk about astrology, create Astro content, study occult topics or psychology, or do some spiritual work then I instantly feel better about myself. It works for me so try it!

Okay this is a weird one and this something personally I’ve experienced but I wanna know if anyone else does too. So I feel the signs in your top 3: you don’t want to date them. Or you really do. I think it depends. Like I’ve read the sign you have in your 8th you don’t usually like them (I could be wrong or not saying it correctly) basically I’m a Pisces sun, Leo moon & rising. Honestly I do not want to date a Pisces man lmao. And I love Leo’s but I cannot see myself dating one. It’s weird. The thought of it is like…no 🥴 anyone feel this? My sis loves her sag sun placement but will refuse to date anyone who’s a Virgo or Aries (Virgo rising and Aries moon) mainly virgos she’s 🥴

Also I know virgos get a bad rep but they’ve really gone through a lot of shit. Especially Virgo moons. Pray for them. Dealing with a mother/figure who constantly criticizes them and makes them feel not good enough. It’s reflected onto themselves and others. Think of being raised that way and then being sooooo picky on who you date because deep down you’re judging yourself for your own taste.

Mew doesn’t deserve Boston as a friend

**Talking about Mew not Book. Book has done a wonderful job with his acting deserves big hugs I can’t imagine how difficult this role was for him. **

So last week I said Boston deserves Mew as a friend and the post was mainly about how Boston has been a good friend to Mew the reverse is not true. First let me get my own headcannon’ s out of the way no I haven’t read the book or read spoilers so don’t tell me. I believe Mew and Cheum have been friends for a longer amount of time and we found out from episode 10 Cheum met Boston their first year of university that’s why Mew and Cheum’s bond seems closer than the others.

Mew and Top were not dating when Boston and Top cheated. Mew and Top are official at the end of ep4 and Mew says infront of Boston 3 times he’s not dating Top. Yes it still shitty however not Murder Blackmail someone who is your “friend”. Also hypocrisy here with Mew kissing fucking Boeing back. So mew isn’t dating top now so it’s okay? Sure Jan.

All of the friends rely on Boston and he provides what the they ask of him. Mew tells Boston to help care for Ray. We KNOW he does. Boston wakes ray up in class. He drives him home. He stays with Ray when he asks. Cheum relies on Boston to talk to her brother when he won’t talk to any one else. Mew asks Boston to find them a designer. He does. Mew asks Boston for his opinion on Top and Boston tells him that Top dumps people after 3 months which we know from Boeing that’s true.

All of that is true but Boston is just a heartless slut for Mew to feel morally superior to when the only time I have seen Mew do something for another character was Ray’s attempt on his own life. What else? Nothing. But no Boston is the heartless one.

Mew knows how special Nick is. He’s well aware Boston doesn’t sleep with the same person regularly. That’s why Mew assumes Boston and Nick are seeing eachother at the pool. Something that I think ✨inspired✨ Mew to become official with Top then have his own pool date because Mew has to be better than Boston. Despite knowing how important Nick is Mew sure is quick to remind Nick of his place just hired help. Useful tool. Don’t get any ideas that you are more than that. Mean girl energy. Mew can’t even pretend to be civil to Boston’s person. Oh maybe it’s because they weren’t dating… Humm… double standard again….

Mew immediately manipulates Nick into telling Mew about Gap by playing on Nick’s insecurity. Nick was never important to Boston by Mew’s telling. Even though we know Mew is aware this is a fucking lie. Mew and Cheum have been gossiping about BostonNick developments for a while. Mew does this just to be fucking nasty. Boston doesn’t need a friend who can’t see the value he puts on Nick as a person. Not as a tool or sex toy.

Mew steals the vid from gaps computer doesn’t delete it from the computer. Then he tried to show Boston’s dad the video (so the vid is on the laptop too) and he shows Boston the clip on his phone. Mew has the audacity to think outing Boston and getting him sent to America would be proper punishment? Mew was going to do it. Murder his friend’s future. Seriously fantasize about Drowning his friend. Then to keep Boston in line he keeps the clip? Fucking sick and he has the audacity to call Boston filthy?

Boston after this event stays quiet he continued to help with the project mind you he’s already contributed Top who designed everything and Nick who installed security system and made the website. He is a tamed dog. And yet Mew didn’t invite him to the Halloween party. He fucking insults him though insisting that Boston and Top are still fucking. Yeah right Boston seems sooooo into that pathetic desperate sad rich boy.

Let’s get on to ep 10 my final fucking straw

But Mew has the audacity to storm into Bostons house see the wall of lock boxes where Boston keeps his photos (not digital) and has the balls to say oh of course Boston would black mail someone to sleep with him. Really? Mew is the one with blackmail on Boston. Mew is the one who manipulated Boston’s person into saying that Boston’s closest guarded secret was a guy had taken video of him having sex. Mew is the one with two copies of the video to dangle over his head so he plays the silent friend the butt of your jokes.

Boston had every right to look at Mew like he might slap him. But Boston just takes it because he did actually love his friends at one point and there is no use arguing with them. Boston believes he is the monster they claim him to be even with Nicks assurances that “Bostons friends love him for who he is”

Mew never loved Boston. Boston was just a person to make Mew look better. Mew doesn’t deserve to have someone like Boston in his life. Mew can’t appreciate anything beyond his nose and that’s always up in the air because he’s SOOOOOO much better than anyone else. Literally there is no reason Boston should ever forgive him or see him again.

Maybe Mew liked the idea of found family from his fantasy books that are in the shelves of his home. As a closeted queer child I think that’s what drew me to the genre lots of people from different walks of life and species coming together to go on an adventure. Often the found family aspect was more captivating than any romance the book had to offer. I longed to have a group of people to feel as close to me as my siblings who would accept me. Maybe that’s why Mew tried to assemble a found family of his own with a hunter, drunkard, table holder, and a dancer. But when Top came into the picture Mew let that fly out of the window. So he superficially held onto Boston hoping by blackmailing him Mew would eventually be able to play paddy cake with him again. But Mew should never be forgiven for what he’s did to Boston episode 10.

Can’t wait to see that smug smile slip from his face

So I’m trying to figure out how exactly I wanna post the LOST fic now that I’m actively revising it while rewatching the show. I’m only revising the episodes that we’ve watched so I don’t pull super far ahead and miss out on key details, and we’re watching two-three episodes at a time. We watch the episodes at night and then I revise the next day, but if I haven’t gotten to work on it, then I probably won’t want to watch multiple episodes because I don’t want to forget the little details.

An example of this is that I completely redid the beginning of the fic today for the first three episodes, then tonight, while we watched eps 4 & 5, I saw that I had still missed that Shannon was wearing a shiny pink jacket in the pilot. So that’ll be fixed tomorrow when I write, as well as scene set-ups and stuff.

Anywho, the thing I’m wondering is how do I wanna start posting this? Do I want to go a few episodes at a time? Wait until I’ve revised a whole season and then post the chapters associated with that season? Wait until it’s all completely done and THEN start posting it?

I don’t wanna be impatient about it and post stuff that isn’t ready to be seen yet. I care a heckuva lot about this fic that I’ve poured my little hyperfixated self into and I don’t wanna start posting until I know it’s ready.

Sooooo yeah. That’s where I’m at right now.

I feel this ask because there are so few k-dramas with wlw romance. And a lot of them are tiny short dramas that are part of a sponsored product, so they don't kiss and being gay is implied, unlike the Korean bls. #notfair I do have about 5 more I haven’t watched yet but below are the ones I can remember :)

I watch all of my shows that aren't available on viki at dram*nice.co (put an "a" where the * is - install a pop up blocker!!) Some of these are on Youtube so you might have to do a bit of searching.

K-drama Girl's Love/ Lesbian Korean Dramas:

The Handmaiden: This is a movie and if you haven't seen it I 100% highly recommend it!! So amazing and gorgeous to watch. 10/10 for sure. There IS kissing.

Out Of Breath: My favorite Korean GL that I’ve seen! A girl finds someone to date on a dating app after being broken up with and it’s so so cute!!! There is romance, kissing and the story is a lot less cartoony and more queer.

SF8: Joan’s Galaxy: This is one episode (episode 8) in a sci fi series and it’s on viki! A world in the future that is divided by people who can take a vaccine to live a full life and those who’s lives are shortened by pollution. It’s super high concept and very well done for a single episode and the couple is SOOOOO cute. I loved it!!

Lily Fever: This is the closest to an actual Girl’s Love k-drama. It’s in a world with basically all women and there IS kissing, a lot of it.

Am I the Only One with Butterflies?: This is s super short drama with a very obvious sponsored product. It’s about a girl at work who has a crush on her boss. It’s pretty cute but I would have really liked if they had leaned into the gay a bit more but I feel that way about a lot of Korean gls.

≥75℃: This is another super short drama by the same company as Am I the Only One With Butterflies about a tea master. The sponsored product is obviously tea and there is flirting and gay but no one kisses.

Are You Pregnant with My Child?: I don’t want to give spoilers but this was a cute and fluffy one featuring friends.

Mine: I did not watch this drama (it was too intense looking) so I can’t say anything about it except I know the leading lady is in love with a woman. I feel like if they kissed I would have seen a 1000 gifs but I could be wrong.

Nevertheless: Even a super cute lesbian couple couldn’t keep me watching this drama about a toxic relationship. If you are a stronger person than me, the secondary gay relationship is very cute.

Two I haven’t watched yet: I Just Slept and Boss in Love - they are both super short.

I haven’t watched the full episode yet (I know what happened generally) because me and my mum watch it when my dad is at work and he isn’t tonight, but I have watched Teddy and Jan’s scenes, sooooo…

Teddy is, or least was, just a kid with a toy ambulance. And I mean that ‘was’ both literally when he was a kid, and in the very recent series 36 naivety-about-the-job sense. Which has survived a little bit up until this point but I think this episode might’ve killed it off. I actually like the idea of Teddy becoming very disillusioned with the job and still never leaving it. I don’t know if I’ve expressed this in a post before but Teddy has to be a paramedic - it’s the only thing he wants to do, it’s the thing he’s best at, it’s required to keep the tragedy of that family going - but it’s not really good for him. To give the writers far too much credit, he’s the heir to the throne in a Shakespearean tragedy, it’ll kill him and he has no choice but to keep going after it. Anyway, this a great episode for my Teddy Has To Be A Paramedic thoughts. All the horrible things that happened, the fact that he's clearly shaken up, and he's still trying to keep working. That is a kid with a toy ambulance standing too close to the road if I ever saw one.

Sometimes the spoilers focus on something largely irrelevant to what is actually happening in the episode, huh? I don’t really know what to say about Len beyond 'that’s gonna fuck Teddy up'. That’s horrifying. I am really looking forward to seeing how Teddy is doing in next week's episode cause that was……….......… There’s also kinda parallels between Jan (reasonably) telling Teddy he can’t stay with Len and Jan (justifiably) not telling Teddy about Gethin going to Switzerland if you're looking for them. Edit: they also highlighted (…I don’t like to assume the writers intended to anything they did well recently) the fact that Teddy and Jan have both been really alone for a long time, since before Gethin died they’ve only really had each other because Teddy stopped actually trusting Paige and Sah around the time that Jan and Ffion re-broke-up and since Gethin died they haven’t had each other, with that part where Len asks if he and Teddy can get a dog because Jan asked Ffion the same thing when they were planning their retirement-that-wasn’t.

Also, that’s another Jan and Teddy episode with a drugs based plot point (alongside literally everything they were called to in Is The Patient Breathing? and Kezzie, AJ and their mum in Break Your Heart). Probably unintentionally, Ross looms.

The scene where Teddy wants to go back to the explosion and Jan stops him is FUCKING GREAT. Another thing I think about a lot are the ways that their personal relationship inevitably bleeds into the professional. Jan as Teddy’s boss and Jan as Teddy’s aunt. That scene, first of all, has Teddy’s tendency to pretend he’s fine and deny that he needs help or to step back from work. An overlooked trait of his, if you’re asking me, but one that has been there a long time (and that we've also seen Jan sometimes has as well). Also, there is a clear moment where Jan switches from talking to Teddy as his boss to talking as his aunt and I love it. It’s from “I know how hard it is when…" to “I know how hard it is.” when her tone changes entirely and he turns to look at her after looking away. I appreciate that singular moment so much.

Generally? Di Botcher and Milo Clarke, you've done it again (made me feel physically ill about pretend paramedics).

Next week’s spoilers about them: how many times can I say that it’s not the storyline I dreamed of after Gethin, but that I am very excited for their stuff next week anyway? (Especially because “he’s got nobody to talk to about work” makes me foolishly hopeful for a Sah mention.)

I'm gonna go listen to Class of 2013 and Fireworks by Mitski and think things about Teddy until it's next Saturday.

First timer yet again! I have so many thoughts and half of them aren’t even coherent bc I haven’t quite??? Grasped what’s a choice vs what might just be a weird coincidence but it’s slowly driving me mad, happy to report! One thing that’s a choice tho for sure is homelander takes his gloves off MORE during s2 than we ever saw in s1. I’ll have to go back and rewatch it ad nauseam when I’m done, develop more concrete ideas about why and when he does it (do you have any thoughts?) But one of them is definitely when he’s just??? Trying to connect with Ryan and him opening up becoming a physical act we can witness does something to my brain!!! Especially because it seems to crop up any time he wants honesty (the Elena scene on 99th with Maeve springs to mind) not necessarily JUST intimacy under any circumstances. And that is sooooo good, it makes me nuts. Makes me abnormal. So far I’ve only seen him trapped in a suit or naked, those are his two options so seeing him willingly trying to shed what was his second skin during s1 in a small way (even if it only shows he’s more and more comfortable with actually associating his bare hands with the violence) I don’t think it’s exclusively an evil thing.

I feel like Tommy would know about music being created by other people though because it’s not his first house and music was played in other households in most cases. But because he’s never seen where the music comes from, he doesn’t exactly know who’s playing it.

The fact that Wilbur does write and play his own music is the first form of music that Tommys been able to visibly see and hear live (since it was rare anyone in the old colony played music either) so Tommys never really thought about how he might hear a few random songs, but never see the beans creating them.

So finding out that no, these songs are recorded by other artists and that other genres exist would absolutely blow Tommys mind and take a long time explaining how it all works and how things like radios exist that they play music and that no a tiny band inside them.

This would also probably lead Tommy to finding the Able sisters I recon too and deciding that it was now His song.

Also an update: currently I haven’t been writing as much. The spark hasn’t been there and instead more on art so I’ve been messing about with that. I have occasionally gone back to a few wips and been adding to them, but just haven’t had the right stuff to get a good chunk of writing done.

I’m also still stuck on chapter 3 of jornos. It’s Technos chapter and considering I don’t write a whole lot of Techno, I think I’m pressuring myself a little bit to get his character written just right. I don’t want to let the people who adore techno down so trying to finish the chapter has been challenging. But I also really want to work on the chapter and finish it. To say I’m conflicted is an understatement lol. We’ll get there.

Also also Brick! I have your other ask, I’m just finding it hard to fit characters with each one lol. ITS HARDDDDD!

Also aa thank you for asking! (this. Turned into such a long answer I’m so sorry for rambling AHA)

One big plan I feel comfortable talking about is that I am going to send the remaining 2012 boys to Rise soon! I feel like that’s not too spoilery, both because it’s something that will happen soon and something that was kind of inevitable pfft. I have some cute moments for them to all get to bond, I have a big overarching plot and stakes I want to introduce? But I also really just want to have a ton of fun moments and focus on everyone getting to know each other. I want to try write interactions or dynamics I haven’t seen been done much yet, so hopefully I deliver! (I actually scripted out a 12!Raph and Rise!Leo scene for in future this morning pfft)

Another thing I guess there’s no harm in saying is that I want 87!Shredder and 87!Krang to really play a main part in this! They’re the versions of those characters I find the most fun/easy to write, so at least for the beginning stages they’re going to be focused on antagonistic forces. I just think they’re so goofy I love their dynamic sooooo much, and they fit my writing style perfectly! So expect them in future eheh

That’s not to say Rise and 2012 villains won’t get a centre focus at any point though! Rise has such a fun rogues gallery and with 2012, I really want to play with the domino affect, I mean taking the turtles out of the picture right before so many major things has gotta have some consequences~ (they don’t even know April’s part Krang yet…)

When it comes to LGBT headcanons, I do definitely have some! Technically?? I think I’ve already said that everyone is somewhere on the aroace spectrum (especially the Rise turtles) I also find the idea of 2012!Donnie and 2012!Leo being nonbinary in some form sweet, so I will probably have little moments about that scattered through the fic! (Also I think it would be really funny if 2012 Leo and Dee both went to other universes and then when they finally reunite they’re both not cis anymore. Spider-man pointing meme the dimensional radiation took their fucking gender-) I typically don’t think too much about this kind of thing though, I’m someone who’s LGBT+ that doesn’t bother too much with labels for themself so it’s honestly kind of hard for me to put fictional characters in a box too-but everyone definitely is in someway! That’s the best I can answer that probably

TLDR: They’re all loser teenagers who haven’t realllyyy figured themselves out yet, but they’re all pretty comfortable with whatever their identities might be, so for now they’re just gonna focus on saving the world HA

As for the neurodivergent side of things, again the whole main cast definitely is!! We all knew that though ♥️ AHSAJHA I can find traits from my own diagnosis in basically all of them, so they’re all on the spectrum! Sobs sorry this is another pretty broad answer-so to list someeeee?

I’m definitely writing all four 87 turtles and 2012!April and 2012!Raph with being autistic in mind! 2012!Donnie as well, but also apparently he does canonically has OCD?? I don’t 100% know if that’s canon, but I will be keeping that in mind while writing him as someone who also has it. 2012!Leo I headcanon along those lines too-it-see this is why it’s hard for me to answer none of these kids are neurotypical in my mind-

A.N: Sooooo. Sat down to write something new and ended up finishing part one of a fic I’ve been planning since August of last year. And don’t worry- there’s only two more parts both of which are outlined so I should be able to get them done fast! Anyways this was something I started almost a year ago just because I saw a picture of a dress on Pinterest and wanted to work it into a fic lol. And also because I want to celebrate Aragorn! A Queen in Body, Mind, and Spirit Part I

You turned the corner, arm hooked around Legolas’, speaking softly as you strolled along the battlements. It was three months after the Battle at the Black Gate, mid-June, to be exact, and Minas Tirith was starting to resemble its old glory. Two months after Aragorn’s coronation, the help sent by the dwarven kingdoms and the elven-king had departed a few days previous, and you were enjoying the view of a slightly less crowded city. You’d also never say this to Legolas, but it smelled better without the elves. Or maybe that was without the dwarves? Either way, it smelled better.

“Y/N! Legolas!” Faramir cried out to you, Eowyn walking with him.

You stopped and waited for them, smiling as you greeted your friends.

“What brings the two of you up here?” You linked arms with Faramir as Legolas talked to Eowyn.

He blushed. “We’re planning our wedding! Eowyn wanted to scout out the battlements for a spot. And, actually, while on the subject, why haven’t you told me that you and Aragorn are betrothed?”

“What?!” You stopped, looking up at the man in pure confusion.

Eowyn and Legolas turned around to see your shocked face.

“What’s happening?” Eowyn looked bemused, Faramir even more so.

“Nothing. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go talk to my fiance.” You stomped off, the two humans still looking confused while Legolas smirked in the background.

“Aragorn!” You marched into the room, furious. “Get your ass back in here right now!”

He paused, one foot out the window with a confused, slightly terrified expression.

“Why?”

“Because Faramir just congratulated me on our betrothal?!! What did you do?”

He stepped back into the room and nervously scratched his head. “Oh yeah. I... might have told people we were betrothed.”

“I gathered that! My only question is why?”

“Welllll, because the council keeps pressuring me to get married. But I don’t want to, yet. I’ve been king for a little more than a month, and there’s still so much to do. Just, please go along with it? For a little while?”

You weren’t impressed. The disapproving look on your face conveyed everything you didn’t say.

“Please? Y/N, come on. It’ll help me out, and I know the pressure on you to get married hasn’t exactly been light, either. The council’s cracking down on both of us, me as the King and you as a hero of the war. If we get betrothed it’ll solve both of our problems!”

You sighed. “Fine. I’ll do it.”

“Thank you so much, Y/N. You won’t regret this!”

You smiled at the boyish grin on his face, the one that you hadn’t seen in so long. Turning to leave, you grinned at him over your shoulder.

“I am expecting lots of kingly betrothal gifts.”

His groan followed you out the door.

That night, you paced back and forth in your rooms, wringing your hands.

“What do I do, Legolas?! I’m not a queen, I don’t look like a queen, and now I have to stand in front of all these people, lots of whom are my very dear friends, and tell that I’ll be a queen!”

“Just act, Y/N! Act like a queen! It’s not hard, I can help you.”

“I know you can help me get better at it in the future, but we’re announcing it officially at a banquet in thirty minutes! I can’t learn to act like a queen in thirty minutes!”

You were twisting your thumbs in that way you always did when nervous, and you could feel the pit in your stomach growing and growing.

Legolas rose from where he had sprawled on your bed, walking over and setting his hands on your shoulders, holding you steady and looking you in the eyes.

“First of all, you’ve certainly dressed the part.”

That was true. Aragorn had sent you an exquisite dress for the occasion. The bodice was orange, with golden thread lining the neckline and the tops of the flowy sleeves that fastened right below your shoulders, leaving the shoulders themselves bare. The orange darkened down the skirt until at the hem it was a dark red, almost burgundy. The same gold thread used on the bodice was intricately embroidered as small dragons along the hem of the dress. These were matched by the golden dragon necklace hanging in the deep v-neck of the dress, and the golden crown of flames adorning your head. The effect was completed with a shimmering fiery red cape, pinned at your shoulders and sweeping its way after you on the floor. It was not heavy, and didn’t look it- just gave you an extra air of regality.

“Yes, but do you think it’s too much?”

You spun, trying to catch a clear glimpse of your reflection.

“It’s not too much, Y/N. You look like a queen. You’ll do great,” Legolas told you.

You took a deep breath. “Yes. I’ll do great. I’ll act like a queen.”

He smiled at you, stepping out the door. “You got this.”

You smiled back at him as the door closed, taking another deep breath before opening it and making your way along the cold, empty hallway to Aragorn’s rooms. No one had gotten around to decorating this area yet, so it was rather bleak. But you didn’t mind- it just made you get outside more, which was a good thing!

Pausing in front of Aragorn’s door, you took a deep breath and knocked.

He opened it quickly.

“Y/N! Good, let’s head- Whoa.”

His mouth was hanging open and he was blushing.

You smirked. “Like my outfit?”

Aragorn swallowed, audibly. “Ummmmm, yes! Yes, I very much do. Y-you look great!”

As he shuffled his feet, you got the chance to take in his chosen attire. Although, by the looks of it, Legolas had dressed him. The king wasn’t very good at color schemes, even though he’d done very well with your dress.

Aragorn was the perfect contrast to you. While your dress was lit like the sun in fiery reds and oranges, Aragorn was calm like the moon, in a navy blue tunic with silver embroidery on the sleeves. The grey pants he wore were rather dull, but it didn’t matter, because he had a sweeping, sparkling black cloak trailing behind him, only overshadowed by the gleaming silver placed on his head.

If you were the sun, Aragorn was the night sky.

And as you gazed at him, your jaw dropped.

It was suddenly Aragorn’s turn to smirk, as, with suddenly regained confidence, he offered you his arm.

“Shall we head to dinner, my Lady?”

You promptly snapped your mouth shut and took his arm, both steadfastly not looking at each other as you walked the way to the hall.

How come I haven’t seen anyone talking about how the series finale of Lucifer has soooo many parallels to the Supernatural finale yet it’s sooooo much better, like actually a satisfying end and goodbye to these characters who have grown and changed the world for the better…. (Maybe it’s cause I’m not actually deep in the fandom) but wow like if supernatural could of done like 50% of what Lucifer did with their last season/episode it would of been 10000x better….

Yuu/TWST OC Idea...

I have yet to see someone make an MC that’s based off of Tiana from Princess and The Frog.

Like, I knowwww we already have a representative for this movie (Sam) but like, think about it.

What if they knew Sam bc he’s a family friend of their parents, or perhaps they’re his relative? So many possibilities. Now, if you were going with a twst oc approach I think they’d have to go to RSA bc Tiana wasn’t exactly a disney villain, but it could still work. Like you could either be a student that is the leader of the cooking club, or a staff member that owns a restaurant on campus, like the possibilities are endless.

All I’m saying is, I haven’t seen it done yet, and I’d like to see it if it exists. This is just an idea. Anyone can use it. I would use it, but I already have my twst ocs and my own take on Yuu/MC, sooooo-

My days are completely fine, I’ve been transferred into another division, so yeah, different work, different deadlines, different boss, same position, not gonna emphasize the last info but for every thing happened in the office that made a hot topic nowadays, that’s the note. But, I had not get so many work yet, like always, a learning by doing concept we apply here and there, just like a culture in our workplace, and I didn’t get so much pressure too (besides some times I want to understand the work so bad), nothing hurts yet (hahaha, that’s the point).

So, I guess that’s not why I’m here right now, but I haven’t been able to write if something doesn’t happen, so, there must be something happened, and I guess I need to be clear on why I supposed to hate myself these past minutes, because I can’t stand but yelled into my 3 year old daughter, Rania, like she was a guilty, she played during bedtime that made me throw a pillow down tonight making so many questions on her face, I was tired because I got home at 9 after picking up stuffs from shop to shop, but here I guess I just made an excuse.

She can’t be with me all day, not even when she was sick, she started calling me with “nenek”, every time she wanted to ask something, guess because that one call she used every time she wanted help, and I was sooooo guilty in this case, I can’t provide her time, or a help going through day by day, and now I also started messing with her emotional security, I can’t feel sad, I don’t feel sad for so long time, I just want to express some of my feelings I hope I could dodge another time, and I think, this thing within me couldn’t stop making my life hard, by that moment I realize I’ve been so hard to my girl, I know I just add another thoughts to overthink the next day, and I realized I was wrong by the time I went mad.

Tonight, my 2 year old Laiqa, got stomachache, I was just feeling guilty knowing why I couldn’t rush home by the time I get my work done, so I could spend more time checking her, at that time, Rania was on her mission to make my attention went down to her, probably she was just jealous, but I’m not that strong, I just getting more weak.

So, I thought I just turned into a mad mother tonight, I changed my personality too fast from a year to another, I was just a miserable kid, a depressed teenager, I accepted my faults and move on, but today here I am, regretting almost every damn things and being mean to people, including to my angels at home.
