anyway now that i’m in a starkid mood here’s my ranking of all the starkid shows i’ve watched

1. Twisted - truly believe it’s the perfect parody musical, i’ve rewatched it so many times i can recite most of it by heart

2. Starship - i just really like the concept and the songs are are some of my favorites

3. The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals - for the memes and all the quotable lines

4. Black Friday - made me cry and Tom is healing for my daddy issues

5. The Trail to Oregon - don’t know why, i liked it a lot tho

6. Holy Musical Batman! - also don’t know why, it’s 3 am fuck it

7. Nerdy Prudes Must Die - funny but it’s not the kind of vibe i’m into

8. A Very Potter Musical - i only watched it because it’s The Starkid Musical, the poor video quality makes it so hard to watch. also anything harry potter makes me feel weird now

9. Firebringer - i know a lot of people love this one and i see why, but the ending felt like a cop out to me and pissed me off. also i’m just not into caveman prehistoric stuff

10. Me and My Dick - i watched the first like 10 minutes out of horrified curiosity and couldn’t finish

GUYS GUYS GUYS so where i work we can digitize photos, film negatives etc. and today someone came in with like. a bunch of positives from the original series?? he’s unclear as to the exact process but they’re shots of the movie film converted into positive slides. they’re copyrighted and everything. he’s getting them scanned and printed. i even have to color correct some of them for aging, which is a job i was born to do. (i also have a very funny image in my head of me watching an episode at work and my boss being like “what are you doing?” and i say “oh this is for a customer.”)

for customer confidentiality reasons i’m not going to show you any of them but here’s like. a corner.

#what’s even cooler is they’re like the Original shots of the enterprise not the remastered ones #which i haven’t seen since i’ve only watched on paramount+. so thats neat!#theyre all of the enterprise except for one shot of the planet eater thing and a behind the scenes shot #which is amazing but imagine if they had been of any cast members? i would have freaked!#anyway catch me watching the tholian webb balance of terror the immunity syndrome etc for. research. hee hee #boss you have to pay me overtime to watch star trek #sam’s thots #tos

man i miss having conversations with friends. i wish i knew how to talk better and wasn’t so scared of saying the worlds most stupidest ignorant shit and being the most clueless person ever about it

#i feel like i make this post like once a month #i miss watching movies and chatting and stuff #even though chats tire me out a lot #i mean it when i say i haven’t spent any time with anyone outside of my immediate family since at least 2012 #except for the one stint i had for 3 sessions of dnd i had with some childhood friends who reached out to me because they were #despirate for another player #and of course i was the most anxious socially desintegrated piece of garbage during each session #one of them even told me they had a huge crush on me when we were kids #and then when we actually met irl… them seeing how fucked up i am because of the isolation #they pretty much immediatly went on to date someone else and moved out of state afterwards #it hurt a lot

it’s truly wild how much sway a finale has in making or breaking a show’s legacy and the way it’s talked about FOREVER. i’ve never seen a single episode of how i met your mother i exclusively know it as the show with the really bad ending that pissed everyone off…same with got…maybe sometimes the unexpected twist ending…is worse

#feeling like succession will be remembered forever as one of the all time great prestige dramas #…and ted lasso will be mostly forgotten about #i remember really truly loving the b99 finale but s8’s offness means i haven’t rewatched it since it aired which is genuinely wild #shut up sian #i get that final seasons and especially finales must be pretty hard to write #i am a community s6 warrior and even i’ll admit it’s rough at times but by no means bad or not worth watching #i guess succ is not the best example when talking about a bunch of sitcoms #parks has a truly great final season though #idk what my point is except that i think tl s3 made the show completely lose any interest in watching or thinking about it again #which is…not good!

i have binge watched the first three season of nancy drew in four days (thanks minor depressive episode) and my three main points are:

1. i did not expect it to be so scary. i did not expect any scariness.

2. ace is my child now.

3. i am disappointed nancy doesn’t have gay dads.

This is literally one of the worst fandoms to have devoted myself to because I can’t just enjoy the content in peace like I normally do Everything is almost always inextricably linked to the real content creators, and you need some intense suspension of disbelief to keep it separate. Like, let me enjoy the block men war fiction without someone bringing up the actors. At this point, I should just turn them all into OCs just to avoid everyone except I LIKED the streams and the lore and the mess ambiguity. I’m also using it to ignore my own original stories that I really should finish.

Either way, I’m still going to make art for the DSMP. It’s the love of my life, and I’ll forever cherish it. However, no one is going to have the same context I have because it’s basically fleshed out by my own personal headcanons and worldbuilding. If I post something in the future and it makes zero sense, that’s why. I might tag those ones with HJSMP because that’s my tag for my favorite timeline/worldbuilding interpretation.

slowly realising that i genuinely don’t have any super close friends any more

#the closest friends i have are from my primary school #i haven’t seen any of them in months except for bella #who i saw for 15 minutes then had to leave #we don’t talk except for on a gc #and i have friends at school #just #none of them would think of me when asked who their closest friends are #i have friends #my friend group is huge #i’m just not really close with anybody #which is kind of weird to me because i have a constant need to be wanted #idk #this sounds so bitchy and self centred and selfish #but i sit at school and watch everybody walking around laughing about inside jokes and pulling each other aside for secret conversations #and i just feel like i’m missing out on so much #i’m sorry this sounds so bitchy #i should be happy jsut with having friends and having an incredible partner #i just feel like i am no one’s favourite person #and i feel like no one would tell people outside of school that ‘oh my god i have this really close friend alex and they’re like my bsf’#no one would say that about me #maybe it’s a good thing at this point #i have hurt and fucked up with nearly every single friendship i’ve ever had

AUR FIRST OF ALL I’M SO EXCITED FOR YOU TO GET INTO DC!!!!! it has one of my top two dilf’s of all time in it <3 (bruce & toji heyyyyyy) and MFNFNFNFNND kpop era i fear bts have a hold on me that’s stronger than anything i felt before… ANYWAYS

honestly the way i got into dc at first wasn’t through comics but actually tv shows & movies! “young justice”, “justice league action”, “lego batman”, “under the red hood” were some of the first few pieces of media i consumed of dc and they were actually pretty decent! i found myself getting really into them and wanting to know more!

& this is where i really got into fanart & edits & ultimately COMICS! i found masterlists of some of my fav dc characters that people have made which give comics in order + best comics to read! i’ll link some at the end of this for some of my fav characters but i do wanna warn you that for me PERSONALLY comics don’t hit like mangas do so if you’re used to mangas, comics can be a bit :/ either cause of the writing, pacing, terrible storylines & retcons but i digress bc some of them are still fun & cute! ALSO READ COMICS ON readcomiconline.to! it’s a free site and has ALL your fav characters & their comics <3

if you find yourself really getting into a character i recommend finding reading lists bc they are the EASIEST & most comprehensive way of learning abt your favs! for ex: “jason todd reading list”, “dick grayson reading list”, “supersons reading list”, “batfam reading list” & batman… batman is a special one bc his lore is SO extensive dear LORD 😭 i like dan mora’s urban legends run, jorge jimenez had a cute run w supersons, & there’s apparently a WEBTOON of bat family! i haven’t read it bc i got into anime/kpop but my moots really love it!
