characters involved: akaashi, suna, sugawara, bokuto, oikawa, kageyama, kuroo, atsumu, iwaizumi, kita, hinata, yamaguchi, tsukishima, osamu, nishinoya, tendou, sakusa, kenma, lev, tanaka

akaashi keiji

when you don’t say “i love you” back to him, akaashi gets all quiet and begins waiting as he is just waiting for you to say “i love you” back. he starts to get a little pouty too while he’s waiting because he doesn’t know why you’re not saying it. “sweetie? i said i’m going” “okay” “i love you” “see you later” when you don’t say it, he’s gonna walk back into the room where you’re sitting in and show you that he’s pouting and try and get you to say i love you

suna rintarō

suna doesn’t really care about things that you say, because he is cool with you saying whatever you want. but for the first time ever, he hasn’t heard you not say “i love you” which makes him raise his eyebrow. the first thing he thinks of is that you’re mad at him, so he asks you, which you reply with no. suna is really just confused, but when he tries saying it again and you don’t say “i love you back” that’s when he says he’s not gonna leave the room until you do

sugawara kōshi

“i’m going to head out to the store now, okay? i love you” “alright, see you soon” sugawara doesn’t really get quiet and all, but more confused. he pokes his head into the door of your shared bedroom with his eyebrow raised, “you forgot something” he tells you, but you shake your head. “tell me that you love me right now!!!” sugawara isn’t going to leave the room until you say i love you back to him, he wants to hear it

bokuto kōtarō

sometimes bokuto misses words or doesn’t really pay attention to what you say, but it strikes a chord in him when he hears that you didn’t say “i love you” at the end of your sentence. he really loves hearing you say “i love you” to him, it really boosts his mood, so when you don’t say it, he will walk over to you and just keep talking about going out until you say “i love you” to him, even if he has to say it a million times over

oikawa tōru

oikawa isn’t going to take the whole fact that you’re not saying “i love you” back too well. he will get up and pout like a child, and even throw a bit of a tantrum because you’re not saying “i love you” back to him. he will do anything he can to have you say those three words, anything, literally anything. he just wanted to go out and get groceries, but is now busy pouting because you’re not telling him that you love him too

kageyama tobio

kageyama probably doesn’t realise it at first, but he can sense that something is off. when he thinks back to what you have said back to him, he realises that you haven’t said “i love you” back like you usually would. it makes him kinda shocked, but he doesn’t really know how to bring the subject up to you, he doesn’t really know what to say. “say i love you right now!” he says, and just pouts as he stands still trying to wonder what else to do

kuroo tetsurō

i can totally see kuroo as someone who will go up to you, sit right in front of you and not even move until you say “i love you” back to him. he doesn’t like that you haven’t said it back to him like you usually would. he gets kinda pissy, but he’s not pissed off at you. he holds onto your hands, slightly begging you to say it. he doesn’t care if he’s late to the night out with his mates, all he wants right now is to get you to say “i love you” back to him

atsumu miya

when you don’t say “i love you” back to atsumu, you can already just imagine that this man is going to throw a bit of a tantrum. i see atsumu as someone who has that childish side to himself whenever something like that happens. like oikawa, he will throw a bit of a tantrum until he gets his way. he just wants you to say “i love you” back to him so he doesn’t stress too much when he’s out with his friends. “just say it!!!” “say what?”

iwaizumi hajime

iwaizumi doesn’t really care as much, but at the same time, he’s just so used to you always saying “i love you” whenever he’s going out. iwaizumi knows that if he stays around and waits for you to say “i love you” back to him, he may be late to the place he needs to go, but he really just doesn’t feel comfortable with the fact that you haven’t said “i love you” back to him yet. so, iwaizumi is going to try, if that doesn’t work, he’ll overthink too much

kita shinsuke

kita is such a soft lover who doesn’t really mind anything that you say. if you choose to say “i love you” at the end of your sentence, then he really likes that. if you don’t, that’s your choice, you’ve already said “i love you” several times to him before, so he’s not complaining. he isn’t one to ask you to say it all the time, he doesn’t mind at all. yet, he overthinks a little, but doesn’t think too much about it because he knows you love him <3

hinata shōyō

when you don’t say “i love you” back to hinata, then he’s totally gonna be doing as much and everything he can just to get you to say it back to him. he doesn’t like knowing that you haven’t said “i love you” as it’s something the two of you always say to each other. i feel like he will start pouting like a child in hopes that it will end up making you say “i love you” back to him. he won’t stop at anything just to hear those three words fall from your lips

yamaguchi tadashi

i stand by the fact that knowing that if you were to pull a prank on yams where you don’t say “i love you” back to him, he will lowkey start to freak out and wonder if you’re mad at him. but i also feel like yams would get really quiet about it too and not bring it up because he is really believing that you’re mad at him, and he doesn’t want you to be mad. he mumbles softly “i love you” before he leaves your house, he’s a little sad about it :((

tsukishima kei

tsukishima tries to pull it off as if he doesn’t care, but he really does care about the fact that you haven’t said “i love you” back to him. he tries his best not to show it, but he does feel that way. tsukishima just doesn’t like to admit his feelings on the matter. tsukishima tries to pull it off, but he also tries to get you to say “i love you” to him. he’d probably be like, “just say i love you back to me goddamit!!” and start throwing a tantrum

osamu miya

osamu doesn’t have a really big reaction about the matter. yeah, he does think that it’s a little weird since he’s so used to you always saying “i love you” back to him, but at the same time he doesn’t really mind. he isn’t going to have a big reaction like his twin would, but at the same time, he’s gonna be wondering why you aren’t saying those three words back to him. he isn’t going to make a big deal, and he’s cool with it, he knows you’ll say it sooner or later

nishinoya yū

nishinoya is totally one of those people who are going to have one of the most biggest reactions all because you didn’t say “i love you” back to him. he throws a tantrum, he stops everything in his tracks just to stay with you and make sure that you’re going to end up saying “i love you” back to him. he will do anything, whether it counts for repeating words over and over again until you’re going to say “i love you”. it’s all he wants to hear

tendou satori

tendou is ALWAYS saying “i love you” to you for every situation. so, when he hears you not say “i love you” back, tendou is stopping everything in his tracks, going over to you and trying to get you to say “i love you” back to him. he swears that he will do whatever he can do until he has you saying those three words back to him. literally begins to shake his head and scream softly as you keep not saying those words that he just wants to hear

sakusa kiyoomi

when you don’t say “i love you” back to sakusa, he’s all confused and like, but he’s not really going to show you just how confused he is. he’s gonna just repeat the stuff he was saying before, in hopes that you just forgot to say “i love you” back and hoping that you’ll say it if he repeats what he just said. yet, when you don’t say “i love you” to him, he will sit down with you and just ask you if you’re okay because he thinks something is wrong

kenma kozume

kenma honestly stays kinda quiet when he hears that you haven’t said “i love you” back to him. i feel like he’s one of those people who stay quiet but they pick up on a lot of things and remember things a lot, but they don’t like to speak up on it. he kinda just stays there with a frown on his face, having some hope that you will pick up on the fact that you haven’t said “i love you” back to him, he’s more of those silent lovers

lev haiba

lev is another one of those people who are just confused and doesn’t really know what to say about the situation, but he is able to pick up on the fact that you didn’t say “i love you” back to him, and that makes him kinda pouty. he does whatever he can to make you say “i love you” back to him. he just wants you to say “i love you” because according to him, it just doesn’t feel right when you don’t say “i love you” back to him

tanaka ryūnosuke

tanaka picks up on the fact that you didn’t say “i love you” back to him straight away. he knows it, and he thinks it’s odd. straight away, tanaka is coming back to you from where he was standing, like he’s waiting for you to say “i love you” back to him. “y/n, you didn’t say it” “say what?” “i love you” i can see tanaka as being one of those people who aren’t going to leave until you say “i love you” back to him, he just wants to hear it >:(

Even though all my best friends became giant wolves on call, I didn’t let it stop me. It didn’t stop me from spending an unthinkable amount of time with them. It would never stop me from trying to wrestle them all. Even though Embry has a heart attack about fifteen times a day, I think we all have a good time.

As Embry and I walk up to Sam’s front door, he squeezes my hand a little tighter.

“Please, (Y/N). I am begging you, please be calm this time.” He looks at me with pleading eyes.

“Em, it’s fine. It’s always fine.” I remind him.

“Okay, you say that. But you always lose, then you get mad, then you hit someone, then you once again lose. It’s a very intense experience for me.” He confessed.

“It wasn’t always an issue.” I say, half joking.

“No, it always was. And then, I turned into a wolf-boy, and then I imprinted.” He stated matter of factly. “I mean, I know. But it’s just hard, after doing this for so long. It’s just so fun.” I confessed, feeling guilty about how much anxiety I brought him sometimes. It was just so natural for me, to wrestle the doofuses that set my temper off balance.

“I know, I know. But please try to understand where I’m coming from. You could really get hurt.” He says, looking me in my eyes again.

I nod and give him a quick peck on the cheek.

“I will try, Embry.” I smiled.

He thanked me and then we entered the house full of testosterone and banter.

As the pack was sitting around Sam and Emily’s living room, scarfing down muffins and snacks, we joined in.

I hugged Emily hello and grabbed a muffin before sitting on Embry’s lap, on the couch next to Paul.

“I’m still hungry.” Paul says.

“I’m sorry to hear that.” I say as I go to take a bite of my muffin.

But before I can, he takes it. Right out of my hands. He bit it, now I can’t eat it. It has Paul germs.

“Paul. What the hell?” I asked, trying to control the urge to go over and slap it out of his hand.

“What? I thought it was for me.” He said laughing.

“I’ll get you another one, babe.” Embry says, getting up from under you and leaving you on the couch still.

“Not cool, Lawhore. Oh- I meant Lahote.” I smirked at him.

“Wow, you’re funny when you’re mad. Too bad that’s the only time you’re funny.” He teased, knowing he would get a reaction out of you.

Ever since you all grew up, this was always the game. Piss (Y/N) off until you get a wrestling match out of her. Was a self esteem boost at this point, now that they’re all super buff? They weren’t always, I used to be able to hold my own a bit better.

“Wow, if only you were as charming as you are annoying.” I said with a mocking tone. “Here, babe.” Embry says as he gives you another muffin, plopping his into his mouth as he sits down once more.

“Thank you.” I said, giving him a quick peck on the cheek.

“No, I thank you, Embry.” Quil says, as he too snatches the muffin out of my hand.

“Are you serious?” I ask, looking at Quil with eyes set to kill.

“So serious.” He says as he holds the muffin out of my reach.

Embry closes his eyes, tilting his head down, pinching the bridge of his nose.

“I should really have known that things would always be this way.” He says, whispering to himself.

“It’s fine, Em. It’s all fine, I haven’t hit anyone.” I said, trying to lighten the mood a bit.

I knew they were doing this on purpose, they definitely heard us talking outside. He’s talked to them before too. They just like bothering us, as they always did. I’m just the hothead who gives in.

“But she might!” Paul says as he runs past me, flicking me in the head.

I debated on tripping him, but tried to give Embry just one peaceful hangout.

I walked over to the stove and once again, grabbed a muffin. Emily thankfully saved me yet another. I decided it was better to eat it by the stove, hoping to save this muffin from the thieving boys.

I started to take a bite out of it before the rage filled me again. “Thanks again, (Y/N)! You’re so good at sharing.” Paul says walking past me, taking the muffin and biting it.

“Oh my god. Stop taking her muffin! Leave her alone!” Embry says standing up and walking over to you.

Paul skips away in an effort to avoid Embry coming over to start something. His and Quil’s laughter filling the room.

“I hate you all.” I said, trying to not to disappoint Embry.

He held me, and once again everything else felt right in the world. That’s the thing about Embry, no matter what, his arms brought me a peace that nothing else could. He was always able to, before the whole imprint thing, and now with it-- it was a whole new level. All my worries melted away as his hands met my waist.

My peace was interrupted by a running Quil. He ran by and gave my hair a little pull.

Embry just held a little tighter, and cursed under his breath.

I looked up at him before he gave me a disappointed, yet knowing nod.

“Fuck you, Quil.” I said as I chased him. I grabbed him by the shirt and tried to pull him into a noogie position. But he and Paul teamed up on me and then gave me a noogie. How rude.

The wreslting ensued and Embry eventually broke it up and calmed it all down. Torn between laughing and wanting to kick his best friends’ asses.

“Next time, just you and I. It’s over for you.” I point at Paul.

“Yeah, sure sweetie. Right after I grow wings and fly away.” He says chuckling.

“Well, in my defense you all disappeared one by one for a few weeks and came back with the ability to turn into a giant wolf. So how stupid do you sound right now?” I said raising an eyebrow as I sat onto Embry’s lap, him holding my waist and chuckling.

“Shut up, (Y/N). I’ll kick your ass.” He says laughing.

“I tried.” I whispered to Embry.

“I know, I shouldn’t have mentioned it where they could hear me.” He apologized.

I nodded, knowing this was all caused by his earlier request.

“You kicked ass, though babe.” He said giving me a quick kiss.

Anyway, I am hoping for a little bit of advice myself as I am moving across the country in a week to start university for the very first time! I'm terrified to say the least. Any suggestions on how to transition (or ease the transition)?

Aww, you’re muchtoo sweet – I do try my best to offer as helpful advice as I think possible andI’m beyond happy that others are able to find some measure of comfort in them.I think, sometimes, people just want a friendly ear and shoulder to cry on.Okay, so I’ve personally never movedaway from home before (not even for studies), but I have been away from home for an extended period of time. So, I’mjust going to list down a few things that I hope will help:

1. Movingaway for the first time ever can be terrifying – you’re so used to being inyour comfort zone and it’s completely normal to feel as if the rug has beenpulled out from under your feet! So, before anything else, I just want to makesure you know that you don’t have to quash these feelings no matter what peoplesay and how much they talk up how exciting uni life will be.

2. Thatbeing said – it really is quite exciting! This is your first step intoindependence and you’re going to be finding your footing in life on your own. This is honestly, the timefor you to go forth and explore what it is you love, hate, like, tolerate(safely, of course). So, as frightening as it may be, try your best to embracethis change and next chapter of your life. The first step is always thehardest, it gets better – I promise.

3. Don’tbe afraid to make new friends! I think the most intimidating part for me everytime I changed environment was not having a familiar face I could sort of latchonto (don’t I sound charming?), but remember that almost everyone else there isstarting afresh as well and are probably looking to form new friendships. Unilife gets a whole lot less scarier once you know you have someone there who canshare your jokes and relate to your problems on some level. 8. Stockup on food. There’s nothing more miserable than when you’re feeling homesick,tired, and hungry. This doesn’t mean I’m asking you to skip lunch or dinner,but you know how some days can get and you’d honestly just return to your roominstead of hot footing it out in search of food. So, make sure you always havea generous stash of biscuits, some savoury foods, and chocolates (if those are your thing) in your room. But again,please try your best not to skip important meals – piping hot dishes and a warmtummy will give you all the fuzzies in the world. So, if you plan on cooking,do your grocery shopping and never forget to pick up eggs and milk (again, ifthese are your staples).

9. Do youwork out? If yes, try to sign up for your uni’s gym or heck, just lace up yourshoes and go for a run, or even a walk. I know this is such a cliché thing tosay but exercise can perk your mood up – if anything, science does say it givesa boost of endorphins ;) Plus, if you’ve had a stressful day – you’re going tofeel a lot better just by sweating itout.

10.Callyour parents often. It’s easy to let life sort of take its own busy course –but take the time out of your day to just give them a quick ring even if it’sjust to say hi. Hearing their voices frequently will again, ground you in a foreignplace. Also, they will more than appreciate it.

11.Tryjoining social clubs! All these extracurricular activities are an awesome wayto meet new people, expand your interests, or uncover hidden talents you maynot even have known. If something piques your interest – this is the time to gofor it and experiment.

12.Studyhard. This is really crucial. I find that often people are so carried away byeverything else happening outside of studies that their grades are neglected.It can be really difficult to climb back up after a bad dip and it’s only goingto cause you unnecessary stress and pressure. So, attend lectures and beconsistent in your studies – that way, you won’t feel like drowning when examsroll about.

Whew, okay, thatappears to be about it. I was going to include a point about love but decidedagainst it simply because not everyone is going to fall in love during theiruni days. I’m not sure if you’re seeing anyone, but if you aren’t, just rememberthat being lonely is not a valid reason to enter a relationship with someone(especially with a person who doesn’t treat you right).

The best thing you cando in university is to go in with an open heart and take whatever opportunitiescome your way (again, I know, a cliché). Do your best to enjoy your subjectsbecause nothing kills you inside quicker than having to drag yourself to classand through an exam on a subject you absolutely abhor. Remember to keep yourchin up through tough times because they reallywill not last and in time, your self-confidence will blossom after eachexperience.
