kon is not really a leader (though he's also not an idiot actually and i will die on this hill) but he's such a good right hand man. very loyal. mom friend. powerhouse. this is Also why timkon are so spirk coded (but this time it's flipped) and in this essay i will
i think "coding" has lost meaning? i feel like it used to be "the creators have deliberately dropped these hints that character might be X" and now people will make their headcanon find evidence for it and then say the creators coded a character as X
the internal struggle of wanting to respect riz’s seemingly ace/aro identity but also seeing the chemistry fabian and riz have…. idk man maybe i just want them to be in a queer platonic relationship and grow old together is that too much to ask
It is truly heartbreaking that Klavier Gavin is one of the few, if not the only characters in current canon who has no meaningful bond with any of the other characters. He loses his brother, twice. He loses his best friend and with him the band that was his entire life for 7 years. And if that wasn't enough, the writers go out of their way to even kill his mentor in AA5. His entire supoort system is gone and he does not get a new one. Sure you could say "What about Apollo?" but in their brief exchange in Turnabout Academy they're not even on a first name basis. Hell, the text implies that they haven't talked to each other since Turnabout Succesion.
Klavier is truly alone but all of the other characters aren't. The defense attorneys obviously have many friendships and bonds with other charachters but so do the prosecutors. Edgeworth has Phoenix, Kay, Sebastian and Franziska. Franziska has Edgeworth. Hell, even Blackquill who is portrayed as abrasive and a loner, who has spent 7 years in jail is shown to not only have Athena but also friends like Bucky Whet. Nahyuta, portrayed as emotionless and resigned to his fate for most of the game not only comes out of it with a mother, uncle and two siblings but also finds a friend in Ema.
But Klavier? Charming, beautiful, legal prodigy, rockstar? He has no one. He is completely alone when he walks into the courtroom. And he is truly alone when he performs on stage. There, in the blinding limelight, surrounded by this crowd of adoring fans who worship the ground he walks on, he finds the lonliest place on earth.
at the end of a lot of my posts involving toritsuka i always stop myself from elaborating too much cuz i end up thinking like 'ah everyones knows how i feel about toritsuka' but DO THEY ?? do they.. because ive gotten (and ignored) multiple asks from people who think i fucking hate toritsuka and its so insane to me because WHERE DID I FUCKING SAY THAT?? guys.
he is literally so silly! i lowkey feel like i need to make a masterpost of everything ive ever said about him just so that i can force it down everyones throats and make you all understand my complex feelings on this stupid dumb idiotic little freak!
I keep thinking about how off the island seems to the residents. And while that could just be the ptsd from purgatory, what happens if it’s not the real island? What if it’s just another trick to put everyone through true hell? Believing or wanting to believe you’re finally safe and sound before the rug is pulled.
What happens if tubbos heaven, his baby girl, isn’t actually part of their real home? What if his hell is to leave her behind to go to the real island? The Feds aren’t going to leave the residents in such a place for long, especially if it’s not part of their own mind games. But the new eggs aren’t part of the original island. Tubbo would rather die then leave sunny, but if the Feds want their residents back, there’s no stopping them.
Fed agents pulling tubbo and sunny apart as he kicks and screams and fights because even if the land they’re on isn’t his true home, the person he’s being forced to leave is. Tubbo would rather spend an eternity in hell with his little girl then one second back on the island without her.
Some people are genuinely so disrespectful and annoying towards Nora about HER OWN CHARACTERS
You do not have to like every canonical choice she makes and you can ignore them all you want but don’t go and be disrespectful to her or tell her she’s wrong ABOUT HER OWN FUCKING STORY AND CHARACTERS
I think "media analysis with the goal of proving something you want to be canon is canon" is usually not good quality analysis because 9 times out of 10 it involves picking and choosing and stringing together bits of information that agree with you and discarding or explaining away the rest. You can make a compelling (or at least coherent) argument out of almost any scraps of information but it doesn't make it good analysis.
