Lourdes, I need more of your delicious Geto thoughts-
Do you think he would be secretive about your relationship or enjoy pda? Also how would he feel about others trying to flirt with you? What are some of the things he likes to do to let others know you’re his?
what it’s like dating geto suguru <3
tags: sfw, kissing, pda (slightly suggestive).
an: JAZZ YES LETS GO! this isn’t even all of it🤭
I think it’s subtle but not secretive at all, like when people look at you two for longer than a few seconds the love is so intense and unwavering it’s ridiculously obvious and hard to look away because of how in sync you two are. He’s smitten and I don’t think he hides it at all, it shows in his pda in fact! His pda to me is very much, hugs from behind with sweet kisses to your temple/cheekbone/cheek and or the corner of your mouth, he also does that thing where he loops your scarf around your neck and pulls you close with it so he can kiss your lips/forehead. You’re always coiled together somehow, like he loves where you sit with your back against his chest so he can put his chin on your head, hands resting on your thighs (his hair smells amazing🤭). He’s quite clingy really, his hair is always tickling you and falling around you in long silky curtains because he’s always wrapped around you, he’s so broad and his embrace feels so safe. He always smells so ridiculously good too, like vanilla and something a little oaky. But also like fresh soap ALL THE TIME.
As far as others, I think he gets playfully jealous because they’d never be any reason for you to look elsewhere😌. He knows this. But I think if people were flirting too obviously, he’d walk over, loop an arm around your waist and be like, “hey, beautiful, ready to go home?” all smirking, tucking his hair behind his ear before ducking to give you a sweet kiss. I do also think he’d be kind of outrageous sometimes if he’d had a few drinks; he’d walk over and hug you from behind, a hand sliding up to rest just under your breasts in the centre. You’re all like, “suguru! stop! ah, sorry this is my partner!” whilst giggling into his touch, your body is as much his as it is yours. Your cheeks heat as he maintains eye contact with the person flirting with you as he kisses along the curve of your neck until he reaches your ear to whisper a silky, “mm, let’s go home.”
Things he likes to do to let others know is definitely that you guys have subtle matching things, like scarves, earrings, necklaces especially! Like a simple silver necklace that matches and hangs from each of your necks, I think he likes to hold hands too, and carry all your bags. His phone background is either deffo one of you in a robe on one of your spa getaways together, glass in hand, his large hand smushing both of your cheeks whilst you laugh, or it’s you all dolled up sat opposite him in a restaurant, with your eyes half-lidded, looking at him with all the love in the world. People are always shocked when they see it, but he’s so quiet and gentle, that it’s not unexpected. He smiles proudly as he says, “that’s my fiancé/partner. I know, she’s absolutely beautiful.”
He also loves to pick you up from work, flustering everybody because he always whispers in your ear, and you always look so flustered, that or your attention is immediately captivated by him. (He brings flowers sometimes too, or food- your favourites). You can’t take your eyes of one another. Loving Suguru is intense, quietly intense. Sometimes you can barely be apart, because he feels like home too much, so calm, so soft. And his arms feel like home. Hugging you hello with his hand cupping your head as he whispers a soft, “Okaeri” (welcome home)
Geto overall as a partner. He dotes on you, rubbing your hands when it’s cold out, wrapping your scarf around you, holding your umbrella, always gazing at you with so much love. Always smiling when he asks, “I didn’t ask what you’d eaten, I asked if it was something you enjoyed?” When you tell him no, especially because you didn’t eat with him, he’s leaning over for a kiss. “Then let’s go to your favourite place for dinner.” This man knows everything and anything about you, and you to him. He loves long deep conversations about everything from your childhood, to your first friendships, your family, your deepest desires, fears, he commits every day in how he loves you, treasures you, continues to learn you. “Arguments” with him don’t even last more than an hour, he never raises his voice either, he’s an amazing communicator, always calm, always making you feel heard, they happen so rarely because you talk about everything and you know you’re in it for life. Being with Geto feels the most like being yourself because you can just be, and he can just be, you love each other unconditionally.

The dynamic in Rise between the rest of the team and Leo is. so fucking funny. Because like you've got these three extremely talented individuals who all seem like perfectly reasonable people at first glance, right, but then if you squint hard enough you realize they're actually all batshit insane (affectionate) and the clown boy standing behind them is secretly their common sense.
Clown boy will occasionally put himself and the others in danger to Prove Himself or Prove Someone Wrong (see Minotaur Maze and the movie) but like otherwise... i think people forget Leo's overwhelmingly the voice of reason in most situations?
Raph, Mikey, and Donnie are all incredibly powerful boys with very specific skill sets. They are also, as a direct result of this, the WORST decision-makers on god's green earth lmao. When presented with a problem, Raph will smash, Donnie will blow shit up, and Mikey will razzmatazz. They will all run straight toward death with the same oblivious enthusiasm of a dog about to run straight into a screen door. None of them realize this and all of them think they are Extremely Good At Problem-Solving.
And the guy cursed with the common sense to realize this is literally the LAST person anyone would expect.
When you look closely, the entirety of Rise is actually a chronicle of Leo trying to find new and creative ways to keep this team of superpowered fools alive while simultaneously white-knuckling his Cool Fun Guy persona so the others don't realize he's secretly the Boring Responsible One. Haha, you know what would be Cool and Fun, guys? Not going after the Spine Breaking Bandit lol. Getting home before the sun goes up lol. Evacuating that civilian lol. Not telling the guy dangling me off a roof "you won't, no balls" lol.
The sacred struggle of every iteration of Leonardo is thanklessly wrangling the most trigger-happy siblings in the world, and Rise Leo has not escaped it. He just does an occasional shenanigan to avoid detection and his brothers fall for it every time.

back of house.
Pairing: OPLA!Vinsmoke Sanji x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 1,113 words
Warnings: Mild swearing
If it weren’t for his principles regarding women, you’re fairly certain Sanji would’ve throttled and strung you up to dry by now.
“I … I’m impressed, sweetheart,” he says with a bright smile, though under the swinging lights of the kitchen it seems more out of pain than pleasure. “You managed to burn water.”
Your cheeks flame as you peer into the blackened pot with him, all traces of the water you’d been tasked with boiling completely gone. Vanished. You have no idea how or why.
“I’m sorry, Sanji.”
“No need to apologize. Everybody makes mistakes –”
“Sanji!” you hear Zeff before you see him round the corner. “Why the hell do I smell something burning in my kitchen?”
“None of your business, old man,” Sanji snaps immediately, murmuring a quiet excuse me, dear to you before taking the pot by the handle and heading to the sink. He twists the faucet open and running water roars like thunder in your ears as he thrusts the pot underneath. “I have it under control.”
“Under control, eh?" Zeff says. He suddenly turns his squinted gaze upon you, and you shrivel. “This your doing, missy?”
“I –”
“Leave her alone,” Sanji interrupts. “I didn’t give clear enough instructions. It was my fault.”
“Oh, there’s no doubt about that.” Eyeing your guilty and defeated figure next to the stove, Zeff shakes his head with a sigh and points you to the door. “[Y/n], go out and wait tables for the rest of your shift.”
Immediately, you make a move to remove your apron. “Oka –”
Sanji makes a noise of dissent and turns the faucet off. “Wait tables? She can still chop the vegetables and help me plate.”
“You’ll do that yourself. Front of house needs the extra person, anyway.”
“I’m her mentor.”
“And I’m the damn boss.”
The rest of the staff roll their eyes and carry on while the two men argue in the middle of the kitchen. You swallow and take your apron off, balling it up in your hands. This isn’t the first time they’ve butted heads over your incompetence, and watching them now cuts at your last shred of dignity.
Clearing your throat, you grimace when Sanji’s head whips around to look at you.
“Zeff’s right,” you tell him. “Dinner rush is coming up soon and I’ll just be in the way, anyway.”
Zeff grunts with satisfaction.
The expression on Sanji’s face reminds you of a kicked puppy. “But …” he begins to protest.
“Oi, you heard what she said. Get back to work! We have customers waiting!”
Sanji blusters about before heading back to his station, casting you one final, forlorn look as he does so. You imagine that your own face looks just the same when you turn to leave.
—
You take orders and serve customers for the remainder of the day, as promised, and help with cleanup after closing time. And then, long after the sun’s dipped below the horizon, Sanji joins you on the upper deck with a steaming bowl of seafood fried rice.
“For the madam,” he says with a smile, offering you the bowl.
You accept it silently and take a bite as he sits down next to you. It’s perfect like it always is – savory and warm on your tongue, happy and gentle in your stomach. You’ve never known a home quite like Sanji’s cooking.
His eyes remain fixed on you as you eat all of the rice, scraping the bowl for every last grain and setting it down beside you once you’re finished.
“Thank you.”
“It’s nothing. I figured it would cheer you up.”
“It did.”
It did, and yet, your lips tremble and your throat closes up. You clench your hands into fists in your lap.
Sanji’s hand immediately presses your shoulder as you sniffle. “Are you alright?” he questions worriedly.
(His attentiveness strikes you like a hot iron sometimes, even now.)
“Why haven’t you given up on me yet?” you whisper.
His brow furrows. As if it’s obvious, he answers, “You want to be a cook. A lady’s wish is my command.” Sanji pauses. “And I can’t call myself the greatest cook in the East Blue if I can’t teach others to be great cooks as well.”
“I think you’d be the greatest regardless.”
You glance at him through watery eyes in time to see his face flush a deep red. He looks away hastily, chuckling with feigned modesty. “I’m flattered that you think so highly of me.”
Your shoulders lift in a shrug as you look back down at your hands. You reach up to blot away your tears.
How could you not think the world of Sanji? Or the world of anyone at the Baratie, for that matter? When you were kicked off the merchant ship you’d stowed away on two years ago, you had been sure that you’d be banned from setting foot in such a fine-looking restaurant. Years of scorn and slammed doors had not given you the chance to think otherwise.
But Sanji spotted you on the docks, called you madam like you really were one, cooked you a meal in the kitchen and talked to you. Zeff gave you a job and a bed of your own. The staff gave you a family.
“We’ll try again tomorrow. I’ll figure out something that’ll make everything click for you, and you’ll be a proper cook in no time.” Sanji leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees, and winks up at you. “I promise.”
As always, your heart skips a beat.
“Okay.”
Maybe, you realize suddenly, you don’t necessarily want to be a cook so much as you want to love the way Sanji does.
“That’s my girl.” Standing up, Sanji takes your empty bowl in one hand and offers the other for you to take. “Now, shall I walk the madam to her room, or does she wish to stay out on the deck for a while?”
You allow yourself to grin, considering. “The madam wishes to stay out here and …” you hesitate but then decide to soldier on, “and possibly chat with a dear friend for a few more minutes?”
Your pulse pounds in your ears.
Sanji’s eyes widen a bit. Then he blinks, and then he smiles, drawing his hand back and quickly sitting down next to you once more.
“A lady’s wish is my command,” he says.
He takes out a cigarette, making a quip about Patty while he lights it, and your combined laughter rings out across the Baratie. It’s perfect like it always is – savory and warm on your tongue, happy and gentle in your stomach.
Indeed, this is home.
