Edd

If you are dating Edd... girlie I am so sorry for your sanity.

Don't get me wrong, I love Edd! He was my first Eddsworld love, my pookie bear for real! But he's the biggest bastard of the entire gang and I stand by that.

Calls you dumb pet names to try and make you laugh. Sugar Tits (regardless of gender or lack thereof, might I add), Baby Doll, Sexy.

He WILL grab/slap your ass all the time. Even in public. Only grins when you glare at him.

This man is a horrible influence. It will be so hard to get your shit done if he has decided that you need to be spending time with him. Why worry about work or chores when you could be all cuddled up with him and Ringo on the couch?

Will sulk if you reject his attempts.

If he's trying to get shit done and you're pestering him for attention? He will drop his basket of laundry or the dishes in his hands in a millisecond.

If he's working on a commission or animation, he'll let you sit in his lap in his chair, let you sit all pretty for him while he works. When he finishes, if you've fallen asleep by then -which you usually do - then he'll carefully move you both to his bed and snuggle up to you and take a nap with you.

Speaking of cuddling, he does naturally run hot. Comes with being a big boy <3 But if you don't enjoy that, then he'll use his powers to cool down his skin for you. Anything to keep cuddling!

He also uses his powers whenever possible. Will abuse them without shame. He puts things on the highest shelf, just so you have to him for help. He'll put patches of ice on the floor under your feet, just so he can catch you before you fall (he'll never let you actually get hurt), and uses his super strength to scoop you up randomly and carry you around.

You cannot show your text messages to ANYONE. He will say filthy things, just to fluster you. Horny Bastard. Finds ways to turn even the most mundane conversations into teasing.

He'd do cute couple things with you, like painting together and swapping canvases every 5 minutes. His favorite is going to cat cafes. The cats literally love him, its like he's made of catnip with how they swarm him.

Physical affection is a huge thing with him. Even little touches throughout the day, like ruffling your hair as he passes by, or a big hug from behind while you fix food.

Overall, big teddy bear that just likes to see his darling blush.

Tom

As I've stated in previous works, Tom is a secret romantic.

He's not a traditional romantic like Matt, but he's romantic in his own way.

Likes parallel play a lot. Finds it relaxing to just sit in his room, testing new songs on his bass while you lay on his bed reading a book. Or in your room, lounging on one of your plush beanbag and organizing his Spotify playlists while you fold your laundry.

Dates with him consist of record stores, concerts, and late night walks.

He'll sing for you if you ask him to.

Very down to earth, both as a person and as a boyfriend. If you have problems, he'll listen patiently until you're done, then help you brainstorm solutions. He doesn't downplay or ignore your feelings, but he doesn't jump to emotions like others might.

He tends to sleep in late on his nights off, since he's more of a night owl than anything. You know that, so you've made it a little tradition to fix him coffee around 11. You know exactly how he takes it, and he always thanks you with a kiss on the cheek and a sleepy, mumbled "you're the best."

Very caring. He'll make sure you've eaten and had water. Will usher you to bed if he can see that you're tired, or do your chores for you if you can't do them for whatever reason. If you can't sleep, he'll make you a mug of chamomile tea and sing you a little lullaby.

When it comes to his monster tendencies, he tries to keep you away from it all. He's bitter about what he is, and he thinks that you're better off separated from that side of him.

At the start of relationship, he'd get angry if you tried to push it. He'd snap at you, distance himself, not talk to you for maybe a couple of days. Further on in the relationship, though, if you push the issue and reassure him that you love every side of him, even the monstrous one, then he'd be more willing. Willing to let you in, to let you see that part of him. He'd be nervous about it, but he'd do it because he loves you.

Matt

He is a traditional romantic! His Mama raised him right, and he drinks his Respect Juice.

Makes sure you two have date night at least once every week. Dressing up nice, going out to dinner or a play, taking a walk through the town to wind down the night. Heading back into the house, changing back into comfortable clothes. He'd wipe your makeup off for you, if you wear it.

Absolutely the kind of guy to get down on his knees in front of you and unbuckle/untie your shoes or high heels for you. He's just so devotional.

If, for whatever reason, you guys are unable to have your date night, he'll make it up to you in some way. A bouquet of your favorite flowers sitting on your bed with a little note. A passionate kiss before one of you has to leave the house. A heartfelt love letter sealed with wax.

Makes sure to text you throughout the day with sweet messages. Compliments, "I love you"s, selfies, updates on what is happening at work. Or just reminders that he's thinking of you. Misses you.

Likes to cook meals for you if its just the two of you at home. Breakfast is his forte, but he's not the worst at following a recipe.

Always amazing for advice. He'll let you talk to him while he hugs you from behind. If it's something sad, he might cry. Just the idea of you going through something negative makes him sad, too.

If he doesn't have advice for you, he'd do anything in his power to find someone who does. One of the other roommates, or even his mother, if you're comfortable with it.

Speaking of his mother, she absolutely adores you. Since Matt has such a good relationship with her, he's already told her so much about you. She thinks its wonderful that her baby has fallen in love. After a while, Matt will even bring you along to his lunches with his mother. You two hit it off instantly.

If you're okay with it, then Matt would love to show you off on his social media. He thinks you're so gorgeous, the entire world should know that he managed to land you. Its never anything invasive, and he always gets your permission before he posts things. Blocks any weird or gross comments.

Loves going on shopping dates with you. Most of the time, its at the mall or a mall in a different town, because he loves walking around and window shopping. Occasionally, he'll take you to more expensive stores. It doesn't bother him, he loves spoiling you. No matter where you two are, he'll buy you anything that you want. If you are adamant to spend your own money, he won't put up too much of a fuss, though he does prefer to pay for you.

He'll do that couples trend with you where you find nail polish that matches the other's eye color.

Gift giving is just one of his love languages in general. It makes him so happy to give his loved one things that he bought. For you specifically, he'll also throw in hand made gifts. He may not be the most talented artistically, but he'll stay awake late into the night, sitting on the floor with a YouTube tutorial playing, paper and cardboard scattered around, a pencil between his teeth, paint on his hands and smeared on his cheek. The end result may look a little crude, but he'll still present it to you with pride. And, of course, you always love it.

Tord

Tord is probably the most romantically stunted of the four. Its not that he doesn't love you, far from it really. He just grew up in an environment where love wasn't freely given, and was often limited for appearances.

His father, as the Red Leader, insisted that he keep a professional and feared image. So, Tord never saw him being affectionate with his mother.

It might be hard at first. You'll struggle. You two may fight. But you'll always make up in the end. He'll listen to you, try to understand your point of view.

He's not against physical affection, but he's able to live without it. Will indulge you whenever you ask. If he's busy, which he usually is, he'll let you drape yourself over him from behind while he sits in his chair, letting you rest your cheek on the top of his head and watch him work.

More than anything, his love language is words of affirmation. Despite being a man of few words, he'll always give you praise. He'll make sure you know that you are his, he is yours, and he loves you. Nothing will change that.

Scary dog privilege. He'll always walk just behind you in public, keeping a guiding hand on the small of your back. Stays alert of you surroundings and the people around, so that you don't have to. You don't even have to worry about people approaching you in public. One piercing glare from Tord is enough to deter anyone.

Not the best at giving advice to problems. He'll listen, but sometimes he can't quite understand why something is an issue. Doesn't invalidate your feelings on purpose, it just happens inadvertently at times. Always, ALWAYS apologizes and holds you close when he realizes what he did.

His preferred dates are nights in at home. Cuddled up on the couch with takeout watching shitty rom-coms. Cooking food that he ate growing up in Norway while you sit at the kitchen table watching. Going to the convenience store at midnight to get Ben and Jerry's in the middle of anime binges.

You become his crutch. When he's having bad paranoia on nights that are too quiet, he'll seek you out. Just having you lay in bed with him, warm and solid and breathing, always calms him down.

He will never let you meet his parents. You are one of the very few good things in his life, and he wants to keep that away from his fucked up home life. Might let you meet his little sister, but not for a long time.

Surprisingly, he does tend to talk more when its just the two of you. He allows you into his head, verbalizing his thoughts to you. He'll ramble about his projects, tell you about the history behind his culture, or rant about things that annoy him. Denies it vehemently in front of others.

He is a huge tease, second only to Edd. What's dangerous is how casual he is about it. Loves making you squirm, and he'll never even change his expression. Sometimes he won't even be looking at you, but rest assured that he is swimming in satisfaction over how flustered you are.

Red Leader

I have so many thoughts about him. Oh my lord.

This is going off the scenario where Reader is a Red Army soldier and met him through the army, after the events of The End.

I want to clarify that this is NOT following the events of TBATF!!! This is my own Red Army timeline, what I refer to in my Eddsworld bubble as "The Bad End"

There are two ways that you'd be able to catch Red Leader's attention. Either you are an extremely talented soldier that does well among your peers, enough to earn the praise of your superior officers and eventually Red Leader himself. Or, you were assigned as his personal assistant to help with paperwork and meetings, but you were so good at handling his temper and attitude that he found himself surprised.

The latter of the two is my favorite, so I'll be working under that one.

Before you, Red Leader had been through several assistants. None of them lasted more than a month. By nature, he was a moody, temperamental man. The stress of the army and oncoming war only made that worse. He saw those previous assistants as nuisances, only getting in his way. He would yell at them, berate them, drive them to the brink until they beg Paul and Pat to transfer them.

When they assigned you to him, they expected the same thing to happen. The two even made bets on how long you'd last. On your first day, Red Leader was nasty to you. Gruff and rude. But... you bit back. That took him by surprise. Instead of taking the insult and shuffling out like a puppy with its tail between its legs, you pursed your lips and gave him a stern look and talked to him in a way that nobody dared to. He should've been angry. Should have screamed at you, discharged you from the army in a heartbeat.

Instead, he found that he quite enjoyed it. He enjoyed your spitfire. Not that he'd let you know. He only gave you a noncommittal hum and dismissed you with a wave of his hand. But... he kept you around. Even found excuses for you to come into his office more than necessary. His penchant for teasing came back full force. He'd poke and prod, finding ways to make you react with that fire he so loved.

It takes a long time for him to finally make a move. Probably takes a near-death experience for him, or an injury to you for him to realize that he wants this. He wants a future with you.

At first, he may seem a little cold in public. Not to the degree that his father was - he promised himself that he would never be like his father. Simply a more... professional air about the entire thing. It was more out of anxiety than anything. He didn't want to make you a target, didn't want to cause you to get hurt. As his army grows more powerful and takes over more and more countries, he grows more comfortable with PDA. He knows that when he is the most powerful man in the world, he doesn't have to worry about anyone hurting you.

He would probably treat you more like a spouse than a girlfriend/boyfriend right off the bat. He's older now, thinking more about the future than the present. He already knows that he wants to be with you forever, so why go through the formalities and hassle of dating?

Always makes time for you whenever he can. If he's in a meeting with his generals or another world leader, he'll sneak text messages to you. Doesn't give a shit if he's caught. What are they going to do to him, Red Leader?

If he's cooped up in his office all day, his door is always open to you. Loves having you drop by unannounced to bring him food or coffee. He'll let you climb into his lap while he works, or sit behind him in his chair and cling to him. Even if you're just sitting in a separate chair nearby, working on your own stuff. He's happy.

If you want to continue being a soldier, or his assistant, he'll let you. But he's also perfectly happy to have you simply be his partner and not have a care in the world. You could sit all pretty in his quarters waiting for him to get off duty, or use the time to pursue your own hobbies and interests. As long as you're happy and cared for, it's okay with him.

Spoils you rotten. You're Red Leader's, so of course you only deserve the best things. Anything in the world you want, you only have to ask for it. It's yours. He would raze entire cities just to see you smile.

He does enjoy taking you out on dates. While also spending time with you, he sees it as a way to show you off to the world. Dressing you up in the finest clothes that he got you, the prettiest jewelry that he bought. Taking you to restaurants and operas where everyone can see you hanging on his arm. It makes him puff up with pride.

When the two of you are alone, he's so adoring. Loves snuggling. It's a struggle to convince him to let you out of bed in the mornings, he'll just be clinging to you. If you do somehow manage to escape his grasp, he'll catch you around the waist and drag you back to bed. Won't stop until Paul or Pat message him to get his ass out of bed. He always grumbles about how "it's my damn army, I should get to sleep in as long as I want".

Sometimes, at night, he has pains in his right shoulder, the side where he's burned and amputated. It can range from a dull ache to excruciating pain. On nights that it hurts too much to move, you'll scramble out of bed and get his medication from his nightstand, gently coaxing him to take it. You'll hold him and comfort him until the pain subsides and he falls back asleep.

He doesn't like to talk about it, really. It feels weird, letting anyone see this part of his life. Letting you see his vulnerability. Letting you see him.

But he does.

here's some off the top of my head:

wyll's charisma makes him very well-spoken during court proceedings! just imagine him doing his opening statement... i'd be in jury duty every day idc

he loves taking marginalized clients and asking nothing in return (but they still pay him whatever they can, like a basket of fruit, because he's such a sweetheart to help them out anyway 🥺)

ulder is low-key disappointed in wyll for not taking the desk he'd offered him at his big-time firm. the reason wyll started his own small law firm is b/c he doesn't really agree with his dad's clientele policy (the rich)

idk how he would've lost his eye but if we're following the daredevil au then he probably lost it in a fight idk 😭 maybe it's from fighting karlach (who's also a superhero lol); they both realize wyll has been misled and they've been pitted against each other. they become besties after yayyy

Hmmmmmggggrrrrrr god lemme simmer on this... how the fuck do I not make them all Tsubasa related... okay I'm limiting this to every character only appearing ONCE. Also I wanna get creative so Tsubasa and Yu will be sadly missed.

Tsubasa and Masamune

They are so brothers oh my fucking god. I just want Masamune to get up to the most devious deeds and force Tsubasa to come along with him. I want Masamune to bully him and Tsubasa to chase him down and thwack him with a foam Minecraft sword. I want Masamune to make Tsubasa do stupid challenges with him on his youtube channel, like gaming or baking dangerous concoctions. I want Tsubasa to say "there's no way you'll stay out all night" to confident party-goer Masamune, and for Masamune to call him at 11pm, tired out of his mind, saying "pls come pick me up🥺 and maybe get a Mickey D's on the way👉👈" and of course Tsubasa does just that. They would be the ultimate Fucking Idiot and Braincell duo.

Benkei and Demure

The besties ever. The big softies of Wild Fang. They are such loving and supportive friends to everyone, of course they're perfect for each other. I imagine them writing letters to each other for the entire period between Masters and Fury, with cute scribbles and pictures of wildlife from their respective homes and pressed flowers, and of course there's always a "Kyoya says hi!" when he really didn't and a "Nile says he misses you!" when of course he did. These two are the glue that holds Wild Fang together (literally in Benkei's case).

Yu and Kenta

Little guys just want to hang out and have fun. Is that too much to ask? Kenta was Yu's first true friend, who just liked him for him and wanted to hang out with him for no personal gain. And Yu really does believe in Kenta and his skills, despite what others think of his power level. And despite Kenta often being left behind on adventures, Yu always cheers and embraces him when they meet again. They're just such besties and I want the world for them they deserve happiness and silliness.

Daxiang and Chiyun

These two had more development in Fury in the span of five minutes than anyone else in that season had the entire time. Chiyun presents as this stubborn and uptight little dude who knows how to find his own way and doesn't take shit from anyone. But when it comes to Daxiang, he just melts in pure adoration and love. The thing Chiyun truly wants more than anything in the world is to be good enough to stand at Daxiang's side; but Daxiang assures him that he is already enough, and he always will be no matter how many times they fall. And when they're told about the legendary bladers and Chiyun wonders why he wasn't chosen, Daxiang assures him again that they don't need to be bestowed star power to be great; they've already worked so hard to gain their own strength. I just think they're neat.

Madoka and Sophie

Something something "oh my god look at that incredibly powerful woman with a rich knowledge of history and amazing Beyblade skills, I want to learn everything I have left to learn from her" and "where did this sweet child come from, she is so curious about the world. I will tell her all about it while we're getting our hair and nails done". I just feel like Madoka would idolise her a LOT and Sophie would try to bring her image of her back to earth with some casual hangout time.

Honourable mention is the dynamic between Wang Hu Zhong and Gan Gan Galaxy. That fucks.

When you had joined the Valorant Protocol several months ago, the first agent you had hit it off with was Chamber. It was surprising on the surface; he was a shameless flirt whereas you were after deeper connections with your fellow agents. The flirting didn’t leave you a stuttering mess, but you never flirted back.

Despite this, you two had managed to form a real friendship over your shared love of weapon designing. You were more of a amateur in that field, but Chamber was all too happy to work with you on his designs. He truly valued your opinions on the matter. He also had you test out his newest creations and give him honest feedback on them.

That’s not to say that this was the only thing that helped form your friendship. You and Chamber also shared the same taste in music, a love of playing piano, and similar views on art. Even when you two disagreed on something- be it related to work or something else entirely- those disagreements were solved rather quickly. You both managed to talk things out or debate calmly, depending on the situation.

To say that you were friends with Chamber was putting to lightly; you two were best friends. You trusted each other fully both off and on the battlefield. He never hesitated to confide in you about anything. It could be a random thought on gun design or something from his past- nothing was off limits. As for you, you could confide in Chamber about almost everything.

Almost.

Over the fast two months or so, your trust for Chamber had grown in a different way. He had shared his sexual escapades with you over drinks a few nights ago- and that had triggered this newfound realization of yours: You wanted to lose your virginity as soon as possible.

You hated the fact that you were still a virgin. You had been told time and time again to not “get it over with”, or else you would regret it. But you really wanted to take the plunge and have sex with someone.

And that someone you wanted to have sex with was Chamber.

That thought had lingered in your mind a few days after that aforementioned conversation. You decided on a whim to get this off your chest with Chamber after a long day of gun designing with him. Keeping it on your mind would only leave you distracted, and you couldn’t deal with that during work.

You and Chamber were currently at his work station inside his apartment late one evening. It had been a really productive day, leaving you both in a good mood.

“Let’s call it a night,” you suggested just as Chamber finished drawing up yet another gun design.

“I agree,” he replied.

“Uh...can I ask you something?” you asked in a rush.

Chamber glanced at you with a confused facial expression. “Of course, Y/N. Are you alright?”

You tried to respond, but your mind went blank in an instant.

“Y/N, what’s wrong? You’ve been really quiet the last few days,” Chamber remarked, his voice laced with concern.

“There’s something I want ask you...but I don’t want to ruin our friendship,” you replied meekly.

Chamber frowned. “And what would that be?”

You took a deep breath before speaking again. “I want to lose my virginity to you.”

The confession left Chamber wide-eyed. You bit your lip as your hand began to shake a little.

“I’m not trying to use you for sex,” you blurted. “You’re my best friend, Vincent. I wasn’t trying to become friends with you in the hopes of sleeping with you later. It’s just...I’ve never slept with anyone before, and it’s embarrassing as hell. I know I shouldn’t be embarrassed, but I am. And I figured I should have sex with someone I trust so that my first time is good. If you’re not interested, you don’t have to. You won’t hurt my feelings, I swear.”

By the time you finished rambling, you were slightly out of breath and your nerves were totally shot. At one point, your eyes darted to the ground and stayed there. You couldn’t bring yourself to look Chamber- your best friend and closest confidant in the Protocol- in the eye.

You heard Chamber approach you before he used one hand to tilt your head back up. You blinked hard upon seeing his content grin.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” he asked, cautious.

“I’m sure,” you replied with a nod.

Chamber snickered ever so slightly. “If that’s what you want, Y/N, I’d be happy to sleep with you. I’m flattered that you trust me enough to take your virginity.”

Your blushing face grew even hotter. “I was worried I’d make things awkward between us.”

“I promise you that you aren’t,” Chamber insisted, his tone gentle.

Before you could say another word, he captured your lips in a passionate kiss. You closed your eyes to savour the taste of Chamber’s mouth. When you two broke apart, your face felt hotter than ever.

“Let’s take this to my bedroom, shall we?” Chamber suggested.

“Yes, we should,” you said with a nod.

Chamber took your hand in his and brought you to his well-furnished bedroom. He kissed you hard before sitting you down on the bed.

“Don’t worry about foreplay for me, mon chou,” he remarked as he removed his tie.

You frowned a little. “Are you sure?”

Chamber nodded. “Let’s worry about that another time. Your needs matter more.”

“Oh...er, thank you,” you mumbled.

Your nervousness was more than a little apparent, much to your chagrin. Chamber responded to it by kissing your lips softly.

“I promise to make your first time more than good,” he whispered.

You nodded before kissing him hard. That was Chamber’s cue to rip off his dress shirt. You broke away to stare at his bare chest. It was more muscular than you had anticipated, making you a little flustered.

“Try to relax, Y/N,” Chamber said in a soothing voice.

He took your shirt off and spent a minute or so admiring your bare chest. He gently pushed you down on the bed to kiss your lips and neck. You moaned upon feeling Chamber leave aggressive kisses down your neck, travelling down your collar bone and to your chest.

Chamber took his time licking your nipples, his teeth grazing each one just enough to send shivers down your spine. You gasped as his lips made their way down your stomach in a slow manner.

“Keep going, please,” you begged.

“As you wish,” Chamber replied in between kissing down your body.

He stopped long enough to remove your pants, underwear and shoes. The rest of your clothes appeared to be strewn about in the bedroom, but it didn’t matter. All you could focus on was the feeling of Chamber’s hands wandering about your now naked body.

At the sensation of his fingers inching towards your sex, you gasped and shut your eyes.

“May I?”

You glanced up and nodded. “Please.”

Chamber smirked before inserting a finger inside you. It didn’t hurt like you had expected, but the sensation caused your eyes to roll to the back of your head. hi there! it's your lucky day cause I woke up today thinking about them... hehe. for the uninitiated; here's Part One

the AU is 7 time World Champion Lewis Hamilton gets transported into a universe where Nico Rosberg was never his bestie turned worstie, but a young rookie who got the 2022 merc seat.

Lewis sometimes stared at Nico with so much scrutiny Nico has to wonder; does he hate me? Does the 7-time World Champion, the greatest of all time bar Michael, hate me? And Nico always thought Lewis is better than Michael, growing up. Because Mika was better than Michael, and Lewis is better than Mika.

World Champions are neurotic, asshole, perfectionists -- Nico would know, he was raised by them. If he wanted to be one, he had to let all of it slide down his back and take it as a learning opportunity. He knew this. But sometimes Lewis made these pointed remarks, like if he spoke German with his German engineers or hung around Toto more for guidance, assuming malice where there wasn't any. Nico had to wonder if his relationship with Valtteri wasn't as good as it was portrayed in the media to justify this deep seated paranoia when it came to Nico.

At the same time... being with Lewis was exhilarating. It's hard to not let the hero worship cloud his vision, he is every bit the man in the flesh and even though Nico jerked off to his shirtless Snapchat stories countless times; pretending they were sent to only him. But being able to trace the compass tattoo in the middle of his chest with his tongue, feel his beating heart and dark gaze on Nico -- who stared at him through the blonde hair falling across his face, it felt no less than a devout religious experience. He would stay on his knees forever if Lewis Hamilton asked. Lewis also didn't disappoint, he must've been a sex god or something because he seemed to know Nico's body better than he even did. Knew exactly how he fell apart when he pressed the inside of his wrist and bit down on his shoulder, knew how to treat him so well; so intimately familiar as if he had known him in another life. Lewis was so, so intense, would handle Nico like a starving man to water, as if it was the last time he was allowed to touch him. It's the type of sex that made one stupid and blurt out things like 'I love you' so Nico would bite down on his fist instead.

Afterwards though, Nico always made sure to never overstay his welcome and leave the motorhome first. This time he was bragging about he had 3 dates that Thursday -- he'd finally qualified as famous enough for Raya and wanted to let someone know, and Lewis was known for his string of famous girlfriends.

Instead, Lewis frowned, "You don't have a committed long term girlfriend, or something? One girl forever type deal?"

"Fuck no?" That made Nico feel defensive. Lewis, of all people, was judging him? When he knew how hard it was to have a relationship when all people saw was shiny, sparkling racing driver. Yeah, he went on a lot of dates and never settled down, so what? Everyone his age was on multiple dating apps, Lando couldn't stop DMing girls on Instagram no matter how many times he got exposed for it.

"Huh." Lewis leaned back against the pillow, sounding a little surprised. "Who would've thought. Nico Rosberg's a slut." He sounded joking, even though Nico in unsure when he had given off pure, virginal vibes that Lewis would any impression to the contrary at all. He raised a middle finger at him, grinning, if only people knew this is how their forever grateful World Champion spoke in private. It felt weirdly intimate, to see Lewis so relaxed with his guards down, even if they had just had sex.

To get back at Lewis though, when they were all at the Mercedes after party Nico found his way towards one time WDC turned commentator who has recently been very complimentary about his driving, Jenson Button. Jenson was very much his type; older, handsome, folded like a house of cards as Nico shamelessly flirted with him.

"You remind me a bit of Britney Spears, cause you're so beautiful." Jenson leaned to say in his ear over the noise of the party, and Nico rolled his eyes. Jesus, that's the thing about going for men twice his age -- their references are dated as fuck.

"Bet I am, old man." Nico bit back, dangerously close to be appropriate in his arms. It was 2022, who the fuck cared if a guy had long hair anymore? Across the room, he made eye contact with Lewis who seemed to glaring at the display they seemed to make.

Later, Lewis had Nico pinned against the bathroom wall, pants around their knees, and he'd whispered harshly against his ear, "You don't fucking change, do you?"

Whatever the fuck that was supposed to mean. Nico got too caught up enjoying himself and the thrill of winning to care.

Nico pits for softs. Lewis fumbles the safety car restart. Verstappen wins, yet again. Nico finishes P2 -- still his career best so far.

Lewis is furious in the Merc debriefing room, what could've been his win had the strategy team had the foresight and made the correct call. Nico couldn't help the slink down in his seat as it felt like Lewis' criticisms were being pointed more towards him than the team, still wearing his P2 cap because his hair was champagne soaked.

"You can't be a team player for once, can you?" Lewis seethes at him when everyone's left. Nico blinks at that, that's a little unfair as if he has been anything but a team player so far.

"Lewis, my tyres were gone. The team agreed to pit me. Take it up with them." Nico says coolly, bubbling inside in hurt. That Lewis thought he was purposefully screwing with his race or something.

"You make that call heading into the pits, that's not a little suspicious?" Lewis points out with an edge to his voice, laughing sarcastically. "Sure thing, man."

It really got to Nico, it burned at him to be accused of something he flagrantly didn't do, that Lewis was hellbent on seeing him without any benefit of the doubt -- like he hadn't earned it. As if he's not painfully aware if the team had to choose between one of them on the podium, they'd prefer Lewis. He knew his role in this team, even if Lewis thought otherwise.

"You weren't fast enough for the Redbull. I made the right call for my car, without which we wouldn't even have a Mercedes on podium. I won't apologize for racing." Nico's heart thudded in his chest as he confronted his literal hero, a seven time World Champion over strategy calls.

Lewis does something extremely peculiar. He backs off, from where he was crowding Nico, a bittersweet smile on his face. He just assessed Nico, silently, before leaving.

Nico was left wondering, completely confused, if Lewis preferred that he stood up for himself for once? Did he want him to stand his ground more?

They didn't plan on keeping her but Mimi Wants To Keep The Cat so they end up keeping her and naming her Shaddy because she's like a sassy shadow

At first Dimentio's just curious about the cat and she seems to really like him for some reason, but he doesn't get why mimi loves her so mich so one day mimi goes to dimentio and makes him hold Shaddy and she goes "feel the cat magic. Hold her. Look her in the eyes" and so he does, and the cat blinks slowly and starts purring, and dimentio's brain short-circuits

So then he starts loving the cat and they became absolute besties and when team bleck asks what happened to him mimi replies "cat magic" and he replies "i've seen the light"

And that's the story of how a cat managed to fix dimentio by making him somehow even more insane but differently

Also they end up giving up on destroying the world mid-plan because "we can't destroy the world it has Shaddy in it"

So! I hope I don't get too rambly with it ahdhfj

1. What made you ship it?: oh boy, the first and second chapters of the !! Main Story made me become so obsessed with them it wasn't even normal. I went into ensemble stars without any idea or notion about the franchise or the writing beforehand and I was absolutely confused with the way the characters talked to each other (the enstars writing is definitely an acquired taste imo lmao). So you must imagine how insane I felt when I, who wasn't used to male characters having such blatant, shameless and obviously deliberately flirty/romantic/shippy intended dialogue with each other such as.... This:

This was!!!! On their first meeting!!! They have known each other for less than 5 minutes and Aira has already fondled Hiiro's bicep!!!! Are these two normal??? (If you've been into enstars long enough you'll know that the answer is !!! No !!!)

And what's funnier is that after Aira does the (rub, rub), the next dialogue is literally this:

so like.... Akira (writer of all of the !! Main story) here had to force a switch on the conversation so these two could focus again on the topic they were discussing before (about whether or not they're underachievers and about Ensemble Square) from that fondling muscles scene. This means Akira didn't have any need to write that scene between these two, it wasn't necessary for the plot. The madlad just added that scene in there out of nowhere. Just for the funsies. For a silly little laugh. Because there's nothing more fun than making your OCs flirt with each other this shamelessly in your own story. He really gets the assignment.

Listing a few honorable mentions for hiiai interactions from the first and second episodes of the !! MS that made me imprint on them so hard that they became my biggest otp since july of last year and has taken hold of my heart ever since 🫶

Hiiro fawning over Aira's beautiful name 🥺🥺🥺

Hiiro here was really like yeah you're my soulmate, my soulmate bestie (no but seriously do you ever think about how hiiro became so attached to aira so quickly and wanted to become his friend so bad, and how he also saw their meeting as fate....)

He is so dramatic, he didn't even get directly rejected here

This is a personal favorite. I can't stress how mentally ill I was when I read Hiiro saying "I'll do my best to destroy the future where you'll feel sad" DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF???? this should be added to the "is this Russian literature or enstars" online quiz

If you are observant enough you'll see that Hiiro is the one shamelessly flirting all the time AHDJF but Aira himself (mostly in later chapters) also says some questionable stuff about Hiiro in some parts that makes you go... Huh (Aira saying to Hiiro "Aira-kun's route is no longer available for you!" Aira why are you equating yourself and Hiiro as the protagonist and romantic interest of a dating sim game? Do you have anything to share with the class?)

But yeah... them (vaguely gestures with hand). They give a very strong first impression to say the least, so it's not hard to imagine how I came to ship them as quickly and as strongly as I did ahdjf

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?: God, there's so many things I like about hiiai I don't think I can ever list them or rank them, but I'll try ahdjf

For starters, I just really like their dynamic (very basic answer, I know). A thing I really love about their dynamic is how Hiiro is so openly affectionate with Aira, and I think it's cute how Aira is so tsun about his care and affection for hiro-kun, but he just can't leave him alone and thinks of him so often (he mentions him all the time in the game's home lines wwww).

Another thing I love is the way their relationship develops throughout the !! main story. How Aira stuck to him and to Alkaloid due to obligation (in order to survive as an idol in ES) but actually became attached to Hiiro and formed the unique dynamic with him where Aira feels like he can't leave Hiiro alone to prevent him from getting into trouble (and while there is truth to that, there's also the fact that just genuinely Aira loves Hiiro because the first friend he's had in a long time, and a very loyal and loving one at that). In Hiiro's case, he also got attached to Aira very quickly since he was also his very first friend on the city 🥺

In general, I love that hiiai are each other's first friends in ES when they were completely alone, and that by finding each other they found the solution to their chronic loneliness (because Aira and Hiiro both suffer a lot from severe loneliness ever since their childhoods. Aira has never been able to keep lasting friendships and Hiiro's only company in his hometown was Rinne. So them finding each other and hitting it off so quickly and easily means a lot for the both of them, and they both try their best to make the friendship work because they want to keep it and make it last, yk?)

Another facet of hiiai that I like... how Aira always teaches Hiiro new things and helps him understand the world around him. I like to think about how Aira is, literally and metaphorically, the reason Hiiro loves the city, and how that is what leads him to stay there instead of going back to his hometown with his brother (and I just sit here and wonder if the rinniki parallels were intentional from Akira's part?)

I mean literally because Aira is the one who taught Hiiro what idols are, and that was what made Hiiro realize that yes, this is something he likes and a thing he wants to do with his life. And metaphorically, because I believe that for Hiiro, Aira is a representation of the city. Aira is a city boy, he has an upbringing and worldview completely different from his. Aira grew up in a world that is completely unknown and new to Hiiro, a world in which Hiiro didn't plan on staying for long in the first place, a world that Hiiro didn't plan on getting attached to, but that he still came to like at the end — so Hiiro, by loving and accepting Aira, is metaphorically loving and embracing the city and coming to understand it*. And we know that Hiiro deciding to stay in the city and becoming an idol for real is one of the most important parts of his arc of independence and self discovery, so this gives Hiiro's relationship with Aira another layer of depth that makes their bond more important and essential for each of their characters and arcs.

*I almost forgot to clarify why I think that Hiiro coming to like the city is such a big deal (and note, this is a personal interpretation). Basically, because Hiiro was so dead set on bringing his brother back to their hometown so he could become the monarch, he was still close minded about the outside world and stuck with the old arbitrary rules taught by his hometown. But just as Rinne predicted and hoped, Hiiro ended up being marveled by the city and all the things it offers and so many things he's never seen before (and you can extrapolate that marvel he feels for the city as the marvel and interest he feels for Aira when they first meet). So just as Rinne left his hometown in favor of the city—which was a thing Hiiro didn't understand before because he didn't know what even made the city so good in the first place to make his brother want to leave—Hiiro ended up liking the city as well and choosing to stay there instead of going back home, therefore chosing his own path like Rinne.

But then again, this is just my personal interpretation of the text ahdjf

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?: I probably do, but I can't really think of one at the moment ahdjfj I guess one unpopular opinion is that I think that Aira isn't as stereotypically tsundere as people tend to depict him as in fanworks.

Don't get me wrong, Aira def is very tsun (and he is deliberately written as a stereotypical tsundere sometimes for the comedy bits and/or to make his feelings about others obvious. It might seem paradoxical, but the more tsun the acts—the biggest reaction he gets out of one of Hiiro's actions, for example—the more obvious his true feelings come across), but I also think it is often overlooked his character development in the !! MS where he grows to become more honest about his feelings and doesn't reject Hiiro's displays of affection as much and is even openly happy about them (like when he was happy that Hiiro held his hand and said it made him feel reassured). But this characterization isn't the most consistent throughout stories (and that is a thing that bothers me a little but talking about enstars' lore inconsistency is a story for another day ahdjf), so this is something very personal 😅

And that's all... thank goodness it was only 3 questions AHDJF I was hoping I'd write a short post, but it seems I *did* end up rambling about hiiai after all 😔🤙 what bring prompted to talk about the otp does to a person.
