Narry has this personal skill where he can see people’s Auras! Auras are a make-up of the past, present, future, and every other universe out there combined. They take on the form of rooms full of splattered paint (typically black and white). Narry uses these to determine whether a person is good or bad: white obviously being good and black being bad.

Black’s Aura just happens to be the darkest one he’s seen; this fact kind of builds on to the on going grudge they have against each other.

Black isn’t meant to look “terrifying” (Not like Narry will understand the concept of fear when it comes to looks) but something as ugly and disgusting.

Auras are meant to be the perception of a person that Narry has to look inwardly into. But there are rare cases where it disrupts how he sees this person, because of how strong their Auras are.

Auras are large rooms of paint. Black’s just happens to be so flooded with black paint. So much so that it’s leaking out to the outside world. It does not affect anyone, but it’s Narry’s (personal) reasoning as to why Black is so terrifying to a normal individual, who does not have his ability.

In this form, Black looks bloated and he churns and pops every now and then — like the pus of a popped pimple. Then it flattens then another one appears. As pokey and squishy the bumps look, it’s hard as a rock.

Looking into other details, the thorns are there to keep him from unleashing all of that dark energy to everyone. (Like the black paint used in Glitter Force [if you get the reference]) Narry doesn’t understand why it’s there but he has a few theories: he suspects that it’s a visual representation of restraint, or there’s a variable that is subconsciously holding him back.

As you take a step towards her, Tess reaches behind her and pulls out her pistol from the waistband of her jeans. She aims the barrel of the gun at you and you halt, freezing in fear. “Actually, I can,” she says, her finger hovering over the trigger. “Here’s what’s gonna happen. I’m gonna walk away now. And if you even think about following me, or trying to find your way back to the group, you will die.” Briefly, she pauses and traces of her mocking smile vanish completely. “I’m doing you a real big favor, kid. You’re just too fucked in the head to see it.”

I really REALLY want someone to animate Epic: The Musical with PJO. Like I love Epic’s music and PJO’s just fun yk?

My idea if anyone ever does ever decided to make a crossover/au is that I think it’d be cool if the gods (Poseidon, Athena, etc) were replaced with their kids (Percy, Annabeth, etc) and Odysseus could be Rachel or something. I’m not too sure about that one but she’s a clear-sighted mortal so I don’t see how she can’t be. Not sure who Penelope would be though, I guess whoever you ship Rachel with?

I also think it’d be funny if Circe was Reyna just because of her backstory. It’s funny okay??

I’m just gonna give an example so you kinda get what I’m sayin.

In the song “Wouldn’t You Like” Hermes can be replaced with one or both of the Stoll brothers. Let’s say Rachel needs a way to get her men back from Reyna (Circe) and doesn’t know what to do; Connor or Travis (or both of them) gives her a way to do that.

Wouldn’t that be fun?? Like it’s just the Odyssey but PJO so I’m not sure if that would be the most interesting thing in the world but I’d love to see someone do something with Epic and PJO.

I would just like to introduce you to my prized possession, an airplane tie blanket I made like 6 years ago. This fabric is on one side and a plain gray is on the other, I promise it’s more blue than black like there is terrible lightning in my room. The last picture (from the website) is a more accurate representation of the true colors.

I had bought the last couple yards of the fabric at JoAnn’s when I made this and have NEVER been able to find it since cause according to their website the fabric is discontinued 😭😭😭

TLOU headcanons

My headcanons shift a little depending on the fic I'm working on but these are ones that are pretty consistent

Under the cut for long

Joel can cook

Ellie cannot cook. She can, like, make food edible enough to survive but she can't cook well at all.

Ellie is really good with kids and babies, but tiny babies freak her out a little

Ellie has some kind of first aid training, ranging from "FEDRA first aid class" to "was on the medic track" depending on my mood. This is mostly based on her knowing what she's doing a little more in the game (she mentions having done stitches before)

That girl has so much ADHD

Ellie secretly likes purple. Not eggplant but like soft purple. She lies that her favourite colour is red.

She doesn't like radishes - I think that's just funny.

She didn't know she didn't like radishes until Jackson, because they didn't get fresh veggies in Boston. It's the first time she's ever disliked a food.

She's prone to migraines, especially post-Silver Lake

Joel's not weird about periods. I refuse to believe he would be. Awkward, sometimes, yes, but not like unable to handle them. Tess would not accept that.

Joel and Sarah were Christian, but he doesn't believe in God anymore

I think Tommy still does

This is game specific - Maria thought Ellie was Joel's at first when they showed up at the dam and that's why Sarah comes up because I also think game!Ellie reads as younger because, you know, malnutrition and all that

Maria and Joel don't agree on a lot of things but the one thing they do worry about is worrying about Ellie

They team up against her fussing and she thinks it's highly unfair

So I've had a thought.

Dangerous territory I know but bear with me.

Do you ever have those fics that live rent free in your brain? The ones you cannot shake. The ones that crop up when you've nearly fallen asleep or doing the dishes?

Might not even be a full fic, might just be a single scene, a single line, a single word that has had that effect on you.

I wanted to share some of the ones that have been living in my heart since I first read them.

But here are three of mine in no particular order (beware potential spoilers but don't worry, we only deal with happy endings in my house, I'm too fragile for anything else)

This... I... I can't give context for what's happening but I can't describe to you what this moment did to me. I think about it constantly. All the time the casual intimacy here and just how quietly devastating it is. This whole fic is magic put down into words. It's my favourite Vampire Eddie fic, I will never get over it. Everything kissesforcas has written is just starlight.

Take the Money and Run - @thisapplepielife

This moment. This moment. I can't remember if it's stated in the fic but whether it is or it isn't this is the moment Steve falls in love with Eddie for me, whether he knows it or not and I can feel it. This whole fic is a master class in immersion in my opinion. It's supplemented with photos, as if we're seeing their road trip album/scrapbook and the amount of research that must have gone into this is absolutely astounding. That 'Free Bird!' moment crops up in my mind, any time I think of that exciting, terrifying start of something moment, this is what I think of. This whole fic feels like a window into two real people's lives. It's amazing, please please read it.

that'd be the end of the last man on earth - @pbandjeremiah

Honestly this fic is the whole reason I began this post. The first time I read this fic I knew I'd never be able to forget it. Everything in it just speaks to me. Eddie's the single dad here. The delicacy with which his daughters mannerisms are handled, the fact that their mother is never ever deamonised or made to look bad just because and it's made crystal clear it was a very loving relationship, the way Steve and Eddie are so down bad for each other immediately just breaks my fucking heart then fucking kintsugi's it right back together again, how much Steve adores Eddie's daughters it's just... it's I can't describe it. I could barely even choose a snippett to add because I love all of it so much. In the cheesiest way possible, this fic is my warm hug, it's my safe space, it's my comfort.

Sometimes I think about how mean some people can be when it comes to invisible/semi-invisable disabilities.

I have to carry around my crutches almost every day for people to even notice I can't function like a normal person. Like, in public transport or using an elevator.

I don't always need my crutches and I mostly use them to support my body in weak moments. But without them, I look perfectly healthy. And that's hard.

Getting the: "You are disabled? You don't look disabled." is just tiring at this point. No. I just have to trigger my body into a seizure to show a Karen that I actually need the bus seat, and aren't going to stand up for her.
