Kou never mistakes Hanako for a human, and I find that interesting.

He heard about Amane from Nene, who had front roll seats to his past and gained an intimate wake up call that "Hanako is not a 'magic being' from a fantasy book, he was a student, who is now dead"

His death is not a conflict for Kou though, is just who he is. He is well aware the ghost is dead, so what Nene shares isn't a revelation, is just small pieces of the puzzle that is Hanako: the understanding he used to study here.

Kou has no real link to Amane, he never met the guy. Even when explicitly talking about Amane, Kou has no mental image of this 13-year-old who killed his own brother, he can only picture Hanako, the ghost.

Kou doesn't interact with 'Amane' in Picture Perfect either, the very few interactions they have are super short, and always started by Hanako in his Amane disguise.

The one time Kou approaches him is because 'Amane' was carrying an unconscious Nene, so he gets curious, and shows that he doesn't trust him.

But when he learns it's Hanako, he is delighted. It doesn't matter that Mitsuba is acting weird, and that he still didn't get any answers, cause is Hanako! Hanako his buddy!

He never had a wish for Hanako to be alive, to be his classmate, so he doesn't feel any desperate attachment to the idea of 'Yugi Amane' like he did with the idea of 'Mitsuba Sousuke' only ever seeing him as a wrong version of Hanako from the start. Is not real, so of course he doesn't trust him.

His view of Hanako cannot be separated from him being a ghost.

Hanako is the one who properly introduced Kou to the world of supernaturals and served as an informant on the Far Shore when Teru kept him in the dark. He teaches Kou about rumors, boundaries, supernatural festivals, and introduces him to the complex feelings some of the dead may have about lingering on the Near Shore.

There are two main mentalities Kou has when it comes to Hanako, the first is 'I don't know enough about Hanako to tell if he is a threat, he is so weird, I want to learn about him' The second is 'he helps me and Nene. He looks after us, he is our friend.' and usually he focuses on the second.

But the "i need to gauge if he is a threat" mentality is just as important as his attachment to Hanako.

It's what makes him keep an eye on him and occasionally act like a judge, trying to figure out what is going on with him, which is a hard task.

Hanako does a lot of good and bad things to Kou.

He sealed his exorcist staff, which debilitates him through basically the whole manga, but he helps and saves him and Nene when called, he lies and is selfish, but he seems to only lie for silly things or what Hanako seems to believe is the greater good (the tears eye drops, Nene's lifespan). He seems guilty and burdened by his murder but he did murder someone. He is important to Nene, he is important to Kou, and so on.

Is too much to keep track of. Too hard to give a judgment.

So he focus on his feelings way more than logic, and he is very inclined to have a positive view of Hanako. He wants Hanako to be good. To be a friend.

He does notice his slimy behavior and he does change his perception of Hanako, slowly understanding him better and growing more wary of what he says, more careful when trying to read him.

But his doubts aren't nearly as heavy as his hopes for Hanako: He believes he wants the best for them.

If we go back to the scene where Nene is talking about Amane, there is something she says that sticks with Kou, something that immediately catches his attention "Maybe I shouldn't be his friend"

Unlike his death, this is a conflict Kou relates to.

He is making donuts for Hanako as they speak, absorbing everything he learns about the guy and using the information to help Hanako because he wants to cheer up Hanako.

Hanako being important to Nene is important to Kou. They are a group to him, and he isn't alone in his uncertainty.

Kou keep this mentality of just doing what he wants for a while, childish as it is, but slowly, he is forced to give Hanako more thought, to take him seriously.

His view on Hanako has been tipping to the negative recently. He always knew about Hanako being strange and full of secrets but he can't dismiss it anymore, since the ghost started lying about big things, like trapping Nene in a fake world and exchanging Aoi's lifespan for hers without Nene's consent. Is not like his usual avoidance and silly lies, he is getting harmful.

Hanako gave Kou plenty of glimpses into his more 'inhuman' mentality. He has shown Kou a lot of hints that pratically scream "Stop trusting me kid."

It piles up.

It becomes harder to know what is a lie. What isn't. What is okay and what shouldn't be forgiven.

Kou keeps trying to understand him and give him the benefit of the doubt , he truly doesn't want to believe Hanako is just an 'evil spirit' after everything they've been through. He is a supernatural but he is his teacher and friend too, that got to mean something.

But he doesn't have a clear answer. He can think as hard as he want, he still has no idea what is going on inside Hanako's head, he just wants to believe is something for Nene's sake. Because even if he isn't sure what Hanako thinks of him, he wants to believe he wants Nene to be happy, that his care for her is strong and genuine.

Besides the conflict between "he is an apparition, he is a friend" There is also the way Kou is dependent on Hanako.

Hanako is extremely helpful, he gives him all the answers related to supernaturals. Even when Kou didn't trust Hanako, the ghost already took the role of 'the guide' in the group, offering Kou something he always wanted: Information on supernaturals. A ticket to be part of a world Kou had always wanted to be part of, but his brother had sheltered him from.

Kou always goes to Hanako when he is in trouble. Regardless of how shady he acts, Hanako always helps.

So when he tells Kou he is incompetent, it gives him a wake up call.

Kou always had an inferiority complex, but this puts into perspective how he relies a lot on Hanako. He doesn't solve anything by himself, he either follows Hanako's lead, or faces a dead end.

Kou has a lot to think about after that. He doesn't want to keep relying on Hanako, he wants to take action himself, to be something that doesn't follow Hanako or Teru's lead.

He focuses mostly on Mitsuba, convinced the supernatural needs him, but also goes back to the promise he made with Teru.

This 'what do you want to do?' moment gives insight into a lot of relationships, but I'll only focus on what it says about Kou's view of Hanako here.

Kou is usually very sweet with Nene, but he is direct to the point of being cold here, he calls Hanako "The evil spirit of a murderer" as he had when he first met him all the way back in chap 3, It feels like an ultimatum. A judgment.

Hanako is dangerous, he needs to exorcise him. Part of him wants to exorcise Hanako. But he doesn't want to exorcise his teacher, his friend.

This brings me to his wish on the Red House.

Before talking about his wish I want to point out what his wish isn’t: Kou doesn’t want Hanako’s help, advise or support. He doesn’t want Hanako to give up on trying to help nene either, so he is still depends on Hanako's actions to save Nene to some extent, he doesn't believe he can do it himself, nor does he want the pressure of being believed.

He wants Hanako to be a problem that’s easy to deal with, an evil spirit that’s undeniably evil.

Things would be much easier if Kou could exorcise him: It would prove it to himself, teru, and Hanako that he can be an exorcist, it would eliminate any possible anxiety about what Hanako will do next, and it would give Hanako what he wants, Kou wouldn't disappoint him again.

When he pictures Hanako, he is happy and sweet looking, almost innocent. He may have decided he need to exorcise Hanako at some point, that is the right thing, but he doesn't really... want him gone.

He consistently has exorcism in mind when it comes to Hanako post-severance, but he also consistently pictures him happy and friendly. .

"I want to be a bigger help" implies he wants to work with Hanako, so the two help Nene instead of him being the sole person in charge of her lifespan, which is a big big difference from his self-destructive desperation to be the one to help Mitsuba.

"I need to get to the point where I can exorcise him." As it is, Kou does not believe he can exorcise him. He realizes he should, but also that he can't.

What he says when he fights Teru fits into that.

He doesn't agree with Hanako, and he denies the idea that he is doing this for Hanako, choosing to focus on his bond with Nene instead of his exorcism dilemma.

He and Nene have a simple camaraderie he can rely on, a mutual lack of understanding of what to do, but even this more 'safe' decision to be on her side instead of trying to keep discovering his own path got Kou the same reprimand Hanako had given him "You have big ideas but you can't back it up."

Both of the people he looks up to give him guidance told him he is useless. He can not fully relate to exorcists, or supernaturals, the path he is carving for himself, his beliefs, are unclear, easily shaken, and likely useless.

He still wants to be an exorcist, deep down, delighted when Teru gave him a chance. But he can't be an exorcist. Not when he thinks so much about the supernatural, unable to reject them but unable to truly understand or relate to them either.

It makes me sad that Aidairo pushed Kou and Hanako's situation aside, cause they still have a lot to explore, yet all we got recently is these crumbs:

Kou is keeping his eyes on Hanako, his attitude half "I am your friend, I care about you", half "I don't trust you anymore, don't scheme again, bastard" but they don't have meaningful talks with each other anymore.

Hanako will save Kou if he sees him in danger, I'm sure. And Kou will do the same. But their trust is... shaky... and they will never talk about it. Kou won't share that he wants but can't exorcise Hanako and Hanako won't share how much he values Kou. They won't seek each other for help either. Both will slowly yet consistently focus on someone else instead, like a weirdly passive attempt at detachment.

So I have no hope for more meaningful interaction between them. Not anytime soon at least... Is truly a shame.

Chapter I ; Hanako the ghost bathroom

Sypnopsis: Kim Dokja heard about "Hanako-San the ghost bathroom" who can make your wish become true. He's curious and decided to go to the bathroom and make a wish to Hanako. But will his wish become true?

Note: This is my first time i make a story in English and yk i'm really bad in English when i write it with myself, because English is not my first language. But i'll try with my best!

How does it feels like to have a friends? That was Kim dokja feels like right now

He's a lonely boy with a pathetic life, his mother is murder and everyone see him as a trash. Without a family or friends who care about him.

Kim Dokja life is so dull. Always being a bullied in his school, even the teacher doesnt care about him. He was desperate to have a friend, even just one.

"Did you heard about Hanako-San of the bathroom?"

"a Japanese ghost girl? Why she's in the Korean bathroom school?"

"We don't know why she's in our school, but she can make your wishes come true!"

"Really? What's the rumors?"

He entered the boys bathroom, slowly he walked to the one of the bathroom stall, his hands shook and tried to gather his courage.

"She's indeed in our school bathroom, but she's in the boy bathroom!"

"are you sure she's a Hanako-San not a pervert ghost?"

"hush! Don't say like that! She will be mad if she hear about that!"

His mouth trembling and closed his eyes. Why he should be scared? He just wanted to make a wish, nothing wrong right? So why he's scared?.

Surely Hanako wouldn't do something scary to him, or even angry because he called her just to make a wish to her. He just doing like the rumors say!

"To called her, you should knocked the door three time"

His hand slowly knocked the door with his all courage, and then say, "Hanako, Hanako, are you here?" Just like the rumors said.

Nothing happened, he's slowly open his eyes and looked at the door and raised his eyebrow. Is this some kind of jokes? Really? Why didn't Hanako answer what he said?

If this is a jokes, so what's the point of him being in this bathroom after school!

"bullshit" Walked away from the door and feeling annoyed and disappointed, he can't believe if it was just a jokes! He shouldn't have believed it if it was just a jokes, what's the point?—

Forget about that, he took his words back when the door slammed hard and wide open. Quickly his whole body was filled with fear when he realized that the atmosphere in the bathroom had changed drastically.

That's a lie, right...? He thought like that, looked at the toilet seat with a look of fear and horror, even though it's just a sitting toilet, for some reason it has an unusual and scary aura.

"you call me?" Without realizing it, the apparition asked him right in front of his face with a big smile clearly plastered on her face.

His eyes widened and started screaming while pointing at the apparition who's in front of his face. "A GIRL!?" He can't believe the apparition in front of his face is a girl!.. how could it be a girl in the boys bathroom!?

"why? Of course i'm a girl! What do you think i am?" The apparition look at him with confused face. Does he really heard the rumors clearly?

"no! I mean.. why you in the boys bathroom? Are you really Hanako?" He shook his head in disbelief what just he see. What a strange.. yet pervert ghost? Isn't she?-

She snorted with annoyance and rolled her eyes, what a kind stupid question she got today. Isn't clear this is her home- no, her workplace.

"this is my workplace. You really heard the rumors about me from whom?" She asked him. Looking at him who like an idiot person.

"what?" He titled his head, not understand what she's saying.

"well, forget about that. Now, what is your wish?" The apparition took a deep breath and looked at him with a big smile on her face, in her hand she already had her notebook.

Kim Dokja gasped when he came back to reality and realized his intention of being in the boy's bathroom at this time after school. He stared at the apparition who was waiting patiently for him, the apparition waited for Kim Dokja to make his wish.

Kim Dokja fiddled with his fingers nervously, he thought back to the wish he wanted to say to Hanako. It seemed he was still nervous and hesitant about his wish.

Realize that Kim Dokja not saying anything, the apparition look at him with confused and raised her eyebrow, she spun her pen. "What? You don't have any wish?".

"actually, i have.. but.. are you really Hanako? Not a pervert ghost?" Oh, boy...

Her face darkened and became gloomy hearing his words. She walked back into the bathroom feeling gloomy, "forget about that, i'm done with this".

"Huh!? No! No! No! I mean, Hanako is a cool girl!!"

Cool.. girl.. cool.. girl..

"Then, state your name!" The apparition turned back towards Kim Dokja with a big smile appeared on her face again and it sparkled when she was praised by him.

What an innocent girl, Kim Dokja stated his name, "My name is Kim Dokja, 1st grade".

"m'kay, Kim Dokja, right? What's your wish?" the apparition wrote his name in her notebook while occasionally glancing at him to make sure his name was correct or not.

Kim Dokja fell silent again when he heard the apparition's question, he looked gloomy again. There are many wishes in his mind but he can only ask for one wish to became true.

The apparition was confused again when the human in front of her seemed hesitant again to express his wish, she understand that.

"i don't know..This is complicated, there are many wishes that i want" He shook his head uncertainly and stared at the bathroom floor, the apparition humming softly, "Then tell me one of the wishes you want most".

One of the wishes you want most, One of the wishes you want most, ...One of the wishes you want most..want most..want most..

Could it be, he can ask for anything, right? Right!

He found it!

"hmm?~" The apparition hummed softly and seemed interested when he saw Kim Dokja's eyes sparkling like he had just found a treasure, what a cute guy.

"Kill them!" With a big smile, Kim Dokja stated his wish, making the apparition become petrified, oh.. what? He stared at the apparition in confusion when it just stayed still and stared at him.

Kill them? Kill? KILL!? Kill who?.. She looked at Dokja with a look of horror and scared to hear Dokja's statement, she didn't expect the many wishes that he was doubtful about. He chose to make a wish to her to kill someone..

If you can’t remember a word then she’ll try to help, although she might not get it right all the time and it would just end up being a guessing game between the two of you

when he met you he always tried to avoid talking to you much because he thought about what reaction you could have towards him ( he was a little scared of just you tbh ) ; tho he has to admit that your face looks fascinating even if you look always angry / sad. When nene asked you gently if you were really angry / sad , hanako butted in the conversation , he wanted to have an answer about you face ; you explained that it was just your resting face , you weren't really angry nor sad. This explanation calmed down the boy , he began to have more conversations with you and actually noticed that your personality was far different from the "emotions " you show on your face.

she felt intimidated by you but curious too ; even if your face looks angry / sad she still thinks you're really pretty. She tried to talk to you and realized you are actually a nice person. Seeing the people avoided you because of your face she introduced you to aoi , hanako , kou and mitsuba. Her favourite hobby is to squeeze your cheeks so that you look like your smiling ( with your consent ofc ) she loves your resting face but she also loves seeing a smile from time to time.

he was kinda scared of you because you kept watching him with your angry / sad look. Little did he know , you thought he was really cool and wanted to be friend with him , you just had a problem on approach him. Instead he thought you had some problems with him or you hated him. He asked some recommendations to teru and he said to try and talk to you , like civil people. He found you on the roof alone ; he felt bad for you , maybe you weren't a bad person like he thought at first. He asked you to explain and you admitted you just wanted to be friends ; he was shocked but accepted right away.

he liked your espression and told sakura that he wanted to know you well. he bombarded you with questions of why you looked always angry / sad ; tho he was just curious , he didn't mean any harm ( for now ). You became his second ( third if natsuhiko is an assistant as well ? ). He began to be attached tto you much more than he does with sakura and he wanted to take parts of his evil plans 😦. He does the same thing yashiro does eith your cheeks but he doesn't ask permission.

instead of an angry / sad face she has a tired resting face ( and it's so beautiful on her let's be honest ). She's silent most of the times but she thinks that your face looks pretty too and distinguishes you from all the others. The times you smile , you can be sure that she'll remember it. Overall she treats you like a normal human being unlike others .. ( i don't know what to write for her anymore )

he literally doesn't care about your resting face , he thinks everything about you is beautiful and treats you like a god / dess ( have you seen how he treast sakura ). Your lack of strength is one of the first things that he notice about you (specially if you are a supernatural, for being the leader of the mysteries he have to know you), and he is really curious about it so he probably follow you around to find it out why you are like this (asking Tsuchigomori or even Nene too)

You ended noticing him (and maybe confront him) and that is how you two officialy meet, if you discover him while he was stalking following you he will be embarrased but will try to act like nothing, in case you summon him in the bathroom he will surprise but won't let you see it

Either way it won't take long for him to ask you about your condition, he have been so curious about it since the first moment, but will still try to keep that facade of the honorable 8th mystery

He will pester you about the whole thing (if you are a supernatural he will try to take advantage of his title as a leader), following you around and messing with you, so it doesn't take long for you to became friends with Hanako (but to become a couple it take more time, Hanako is really flirty and clingy but when it come to being sincere with his feelings he is shy)

Telling him your history about how someone stole your strength or not is your choise, but hearing it make him have mixed feelings, between saddnes and anger (and frustration too if you two already have an establish friendship/relationship), he feels bad for you having to live all your life like this (and after life too, in case you are a supernatural)

Hanako takes a moment of sincerity to express how he feels sorry and reasure you that you are brave and how you are perfectly fine just the way you are before returning to his normal self since he feels a little awkward whenever he gets this sincere

Hanako will tease you non stop about this, always saying things like how you don't have to worry about anything since you have the strong and handsome honorable 8th by your side or how he will save you just as your golden armor knight (but when he says that he will protect you from everything and anything he mean it)

He will never admit it out loud but he is always looking after your well-being and how to help you, looking for ways of how make things easier for you and even if there is a way to reverse the curse you have (even if you don't ask for it), he go as far to ask the mokkes to help you carry your things when they are to heavy (but ask for not saying that he was the one how tell them too)

For him to discover your true strength have to be one day where you where fighting against a supernatural (or even other mystery) and he get away from you, don't being able to protect you from an attack

He was already cursing himself when he sees you standing in the same spot like nothing happen, he was shocked but mesmerize, and with this you have the oportunity to actually fight (since Hanako could get really protective over you) taking advantage of the fact that he was too distracted to continue fighting you take care of the situation all by yourself

The fact that you are really powerful without even having strength flustered him a lot! He will be all blushy after this for a while (the others will tease him a lot for this), he feel like he just fall in love with you once again

Nene Yashiro

If you were already friends with her it would easier for her to notice that you always have problem to carry things, even light ones. She didn't ask you about it since she doesn't want to come across as rude or be disrespectful, but she ask Aoi and Hanako about it, maybe one of them could know something

But if she just get a crush in you without having exactly a close relationship then it will take her a long time to notice it, too blinded for her lovestruck. It have to be one of her friends who point it out

Still, she doesn't see much of a problem of it, she just thinks that your weakness makes you more cute, she compare you with a beautiful and delicate flower!

Also, she decided to take this as an opportunity to get close to you, maybe it wasn't the most romantic way but at least it was of use! Nene shyly approach you offering her help to carry your things

After that she just cling to you whenever she get the opportunity with the excuse of helping you, and with time you two became a couple (and she feel like in heaven!)

Also, after a while Nene plucks up the courage to ask you about your weakness, and when you tell her that you had to live your entire life like this since someone had steal your all strength she can feel the tears in her eyes for such sad story! (she's just being a little dramatic)

She took your hands and promise to you efforly that she always be there to help you and protect you! She say it with so much determination and confidence that is flattering, but when she actually notice what she did she quickly let out of your hands and get all shy and blusy again, quietly apologizing

And just as she said, Nene is always by your side trying to help you with whatever you need, she even introduce you to Kou and Hanako, maybe they could help you with something too!

She always drag you in her problems with supernaturals, putting you in danger by accident but she feels really bad for doing it, and she always deeply apologize after

But is one of those moments that she ended having the opportunity to see not just how fast you really are, but your true strength too, when a supernatural was close to attack her, just a blink of eye the supernatural was in the floor unable to move

And you were there, between her and the supernatural, slowly turning around to face her, asking if she was alright, but Nene was unable to answer, her mind was too busy with the image of you being her knight in golden armor

After thanking you she just get all blushy and shy around you for a while (just like when you two started dating), she feels like she had fallen in love with you once again!

Kou Minamoto

Kou is a really kind person and likes to help others whenever he can, so it wasn't strange for him to offer you his help when he saw you struguling (even if is just a little). It would take him some time to actually notice your lack of strength, especially when he gets a crush on you (even a small one)

He will be really curious about your condition but he is too nervous to ask you about it, if you two are already friends it would be a little more easy for him to bring the topic, and even so when he finally manage to ask you about it he does it shyly and quickly reasure you that you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, he will totally understand and he respect your privacy

Telling him or not is your choise, but when you tell him your story about how someone had stole your strength since you were little and you had been living like this all your life he will be moved by your story (even close to tears) and he quickly gets angry to however did this to you too, Kou is easy to impress and since he come from a family of exorcist he doesn't find difficult to believe your history

He start to rant a little about how you didn't deserve to suffer all of this too, and he will promise to you to help you with whatever you need with a lot of determination, even if you want to become stronger he will gladly help you

And when you two start dating his protectivness and desire to help you just increase, it isn't like he will stop you from doing things but he gets rather clingy, wanting to be there in case you need him

He will ask to Teru and Hanako if there is something he can do for you, if there is even a solution to your condition, not because he is bother for it but because is sadden him seeing you strugle for even the smallest things, he just wants to be able to help you

He tries to stay by your side most of the time (specially if you two are in the same class) and will be happy to introduce you to Yashiro, Hanako (well, with him he will be a little wary), Mitsuba and even Teru. He even ended up draging you to his problems with the supernaturals (and he feels really bad about it)

However, is in one of those occasions when he drag you to a fight that you show him your true strength, when he was too busy or not in time to protect you from an attack, he was feeling desperate and even cursing himself for it, but when he looks back at you you were perfectly fine, maybe just a bruise but nothing more

He was truly impress and amased since you aren't just capable to defeat the enemy on a second but also you were really fast, even faster than the supernatural

After all of you were out of the danger he will praise you a lot about your habilities, he will even rant about it with Yashiro and Hanako (and later on with Teru and Tiara), he is just so excited that he can't help himself

Tsukasa (Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun)

There really is no rhyme or reason to whatever that kid does, but I've decided to do something perilous and crack into his mind a bit. Wish me luck, and if I don't return...remember me.

Anyways, he's always been a messed up little dude, ever since he discovered the truth about him and Amane's destiny. So who knows, maybe he's always been a bit messed up, considering he told the deity of the red house that he wasn't going to "Hold back" anymore. I'm a twin myself, so I know that spats between us can get a little violent. We don't ever see the extent of Tsukasa's insanity as a human, but I feel it was a bit more than whatever me and my sister ever got up to. This guy is obsessed with his brother; yes I feel like my life can't be fun without my sister but I'm not that obsessed with her. Just read his character stat page and you'll know what I mean.

It all started as a normal twin relationship, his brother was sickly and Tsukasa just wanted him to feel better; he realized Amane's true wish was to be healthy. So he sacrificed himself for his brother to get better. Tsukasa didn't seem to understand his family's feelings, or the fact that they would miss him. He then learned that Amane would throw his well meaning sacrifice away one day and die young, and despite saying he loved him he would murder him. This doesn't make Tsukasa distraught, it just makes him curious. Despite Amane wanting to live so badly, there is something that would make him want to die. Despite Amane loving him, there is something that would make him want to kill him. Tsukasa just wants to know what these things are; he wants these events to come to pass, to satiate his own curiosity.

Upon his return, his mother can tell there's something demented about him. She wants him exorcised. From what I can tell, Tsukasa still spends time with his brother Amane, but he also can get a bit violent with him at times. Amane refuses to tell anyone who's hurting him. In one flashback, it also seems that Tsukasa can be emotionally manipulative as well, asking Amane if he would be okay if he just disappeared.

As a Twin, I hate to admit it, when I was younger I was emotionally manipulative. I threatened to run away or kill myself when arguments got too heated. I am aware, that was not good of me. In all fairness, she did that as well, and she is aware that was not good of her. We never beat each other up, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tsukasa got that way sometimes. Little Amane admitted that if you interrupt Tsukasa from doing something he's invested in or enjoys he gets a tad violent. That is reflected in his supernatural self, only really getting upset at people if they interrupt him or try to stop him from what he's doing at the moment.

So all in all, Tsukasa is a psycho. I can't end it there though.

He does anything to satisfy his morbid curiosity, like seeing a pufferfish's insides, building an artificial ghost to see if he could, or from the after school manga, seeing if fireworks still work inside someone's gut, or seeing if he can swim to LA. Whatever curiosity, whatever disturbing thought comes to mind, he wants to act on it. A ball of chaos, as he admits in his introduction to Kou. He doesn't believe in restraints or social order, he believes every supernatural should be free to act as they please, anyone should act to true heart's desire, even if it's acts of violence, especially if it's acts of violence. Violence is the one true thing that's a societal no-no, and since Tsukasa doesn't believe in a social order, he wants violence to run rampant. He admits loves the faces of those who don't hold back anymore, faces of people like himself.

Tsukasa is an honest person, he never once lies in the series. It's a belief of mine that he believes the social order is holding everyone back, forcing them to lie to themselves in order to uphold it. Of course some people don't want to hurt anyone, but like he cares about that. When Mitsuba in the Hell of Mirrors chose to run away instead of fighting the main group, he ends up punching him telling "you can do it" in a threatening tone. He truly believes Mitsuba can defeat them easily, and wants to see that in action, but Mitsuba doesn't want to. Also, even though he doesn't lie, he does know how to spin his words in order to make it seem like someone doesn't have a choice. He tells Mitsuba if he doesn't become the new school wonder, he's going to fade away, and "he doesn't want that, does he?" He wanted Mitsuba to gain a whole lot of power for himself to go against the group, and told if he didn't he was going to fade. It wasn't untrue, but Tsukasa made him make the wish to become the new school wonder. So Tsukasa knows how to manipulate things so that both and them get what they want, maybe in an indirect way.

When he twisted Souske's rumor, it was to grant his wish to have friends. It was rather messed up of him, because at that point Souske was happy Kou was his friend. Tsukasa didn't care about that, because Souske's true wish was to have friends, it didn't matter if Souske was okay with one. According to Tsukasa, "Your wish was to have many friends, and you're okay with just one? That doesn't make sense." Not to mention when Souske went off on his own and was receiving help from Kou, Tsukasa punched him through the stomach. It seems he wants people to go through with their original wants, and not change up their plans where it is most convenient. After turning Souske into a monster, he claims that if Souske were to make Kou like him they could be friends forever. I truly think he meant this, he just had no concern for what would happen to Kou or the fact that Souske didn't really want to hurt him, he just wanted Souske to be the worst he could be with no restraint and then have him go after what he wanted. He wishes more people would act as he does. He truly lives by his own beliefs, and wants others to follow that doctrine.

After Hanako ended Souske, he wasn't too torn up about it. As I said, he's only really upset if people interrupt him. He was more happy to see his brother again. Also, it's violence against violence, why wouldn't he be for that? He likes it when people don't hold back.

What is overall end goal? What does he want? Well for right now, he sees it as a game of good vs evil. He wants himself and Hanako to "Play together" like they used to. Of course, them playing is more on the violent side this time around, but that doesn't mean he doesn't love him. Tsukasa adores his brother (he's upset when Yashiro says he's not her type), but he thinks that violently going against each other is a form of fun. He admits to Yashiro that he sees himself and his brother as arch-enemies, and he's fully embracing the role he's playing in this game they're playing. He went after Yashiro for two reasons, first to get to know her because she's friends with his brother (he fully thinks they're dating), second to go against her in this deadly game (get rid of her) because he sees her as playing this game as well. Sakura and himself vs Yashiro and his brother; he doesn't so much care for Natsuhiko and Kou, they're just there, they help out sometimes. The real opponents are them and their assistants. Getting rid of his assistant would give Tsukasa an advantage in this game they're playing, so of course it'd be the move he'd take.

Of course, he's not too torn about it when she survives. So what, they won that round; we're no longer playing that round, we're no longer addressing that round. It's also great as that means she can keep playing. He finds her quite fun, when he first met her he was impressed by her gusto and how she just went to attack him like that. He doesn't like it when she interrupts him, but he's learned to be gentle to girls. He usually goes after Nene when trying to influence what happens next on his brother's side. He put a spy on her to see how his brother handled a twisted rumor, he had Sakura influence her to go tothe 4pm bookstacks to learn more about his brother, and he used her donut gift to find a way to visit him.

This is because he's met her before, and thinks she's fun to play with. In the picture perfect arc, he even wished her luck in killing his brother, and sent her with Mei because she helped her realize her wish, untimely freeing her from her cell Hanako locked her in. He seems like he's on her side, as he seems to support whatever crazy idea she has; like when she's suddenly okay with dying, he tells Hanako to let her die or else he's being selfish and a hypocrite. Then again, when his brother gets the idea to break every Yorishiro and then get a wish to save her, he's all for that because that would mean much more chaos would be unleashed. So not exactly on her side, just in support of her usually not supported ideas. He just wants to see what she'd do in these trying situations, because he likes her gusto. Of course, he knows that breaking every Yorishiro would lead to her death, but he's okay with that; he was okay when he himself was murdered. He does know she doesn't like killing people, but if she does end up doing it, she has his full support. If not, well she's locked in the boundary until she does. He likes playing with her. We get to school festival arc, and Tsukasa from the past asks her to play with him again.

When time is frozen, it seems he's talking to her more than Hanako. Probably because Hanako knows most of what he's saying already. He does ask him if he would still save everyone even if meant bringing Yashiro closer to her death. Tsukasa wants him to break the Yorishiro and save everyone, it's why they broke the clock in the first place. However, he is curious on what they rather do in this situation.

Why does he do what he does in chapter 105? For starters, I think he just wanted to know what kissing was like. When he met Yashiro for the tea party and he though Sakura was dating his brother, he asked what the kisses were like, and said he heard they tasted like lemons. When that's cleared up, he asked Yashiro what his brother's kisses were like because he assumed they were dating. When that's cleared up, he asks Sakura if she would smooch him, and that was a no.

Now Yashiro and Hanako are frozen in time but still conscious, and Tsukasa is aware that they like each other (Did he see them kiss in the boundary? Maybe.) These guys aren't going to do anything, and he can do anything to them. He kisses Nene. Nene is mainly confused, as she usually is by what Tsukasa does, and Hanako is not just confused but also very upset by that. Tsukasa probably did that to know what kissing was like, but maybe to also know what's it like to kiss her (like his brother does), and lastly probably just to get a rise out of Hanako. Yeah, I don't think he likes Nene like that. He likes her as another player of the game and thinks she's interesting, but probably only kissed her because of Hanako's feelings for her, to make him feel more helpless. He does seem pretty happy after he does it, probably because it was nice, and it satisfied his curiosity.

After the kiss, he kidnaps her, saying "You're my assistant now, okay?" He already has an assistant, and Yashiro doesn't even owe him anything, so she's not bound to him. Tsukasa is an honest guy, but I'm not sure how much of this he truly meant. It probably means he's going to keep her, and maybe force her to do what he wants like with Sumire and #6. He might be expecting Hanako to try to save her, but Hanako doesn't know where his hideout is. Also the two of them are frozen, can Tsukasa get Nene out of it? How is he expecting Hanako to get out of it? These things I don't know. If he can't get Nene out of it, he probably just wants to keep her frozen body around. If he can, he might force her to destroy #1's Yorishiro. If Hanako doesn't get out of it, everyone will be in frozen torment for eternity, which could be nice. If he does, he'd need Yashiro to destroy the Yorishiro, unless they force #1 to destroy it themselves.

Another thing I'm not sure about: he's a yorishiro. If he's destroyed he'll cease to exist, so he won't get to see that world he want's to see so badly or finish his game. Did that slip his mind? Probably not. My guess is that he wants to have a final battle with Hanako, and the winner will see the world come to fruition and win the game. Maybe he'll be content enough that the world of chaos will come to pass even if he won't get to see it. Maybe since Hanako doesn't want to hurt him again, he try to force Yashiro's hand.

Anyways, with Tsukasa as a villain I'm a little excited to see how things will play out, and also a little horrified.

Things that popped into my head while rewatching this episode:

--Recalling Gotouge's journey in developing the world and story and how Tanjiro and Nezuko were originally going to be side characters until the editor heard about them and swooped in to save the series by making Tanjiro the main character. (According to interview in Fanbook #1)

--Recalling how the art direction team, in order to produce this episode, made a trip out to the mountains of Tochigi Prefecture (which would have more snow than Mt. Kumotori typically gets nowadays) and experienced stomping around in the deep snow and feeling it pack under their feet, and feeling the exhaustion and early lack of sunlight. (According to interview in booklet handed at out at early Mugen Ressha showings)

--Giving Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, and Rokuta red eyes like Tanjiro is such a choice and it was made. --I believe Saburo the umbrella craftsman lost his family to demons. --I love that we got to see Grandma Kamado. Tanjiro was so little. --Tanjiro really is just everybody's favorite person, isn't he???? Look at him, Tanjiro-ing all over the town.

--I've heard it said how Tanjiro must so bitterly regret telling Hanako and Shigeru to stay home that day.

--Did Nezuko imply that Rokuta's sticking to Tanjiro because he looks so much like Dad??? That loss really is so recent in their hearts, as is the encounter with the bear, as it's the first possibility Tanjiro thinks of when he sees the attack. But, we see their worldview so clearly in how Tanjiro muses on the fickleness of life like the changing weather of the sky, and he knows from the get-go that happiness is fleeting. But also, we see how he appreciates what he has so much. ;__;

--Kokushibo took three days to become a demon and wondered how long it might take Kaigaku to become one, as strong ones may take longer. Nezuko's body was left out there in daylight for many hours, and probably many night hours too as Muzan wouldn't risk being so far from cover so close to dawn. It was still daytime when Giyuu got to them, albeit covered with clouds, but Nezuko might had taken 8-16 hours. A lot of time seems to have passed between Tanjiro's discovery of the family in sunny conditions and then being partway down the mountain with her in overcast conditions; perhaps Tanjiro didn't hurry at first under the assumption that they were all hopeless and was in the process of preparing their bodies for burial, and he didn't notice the hope for Nezuko right away. Imagine his panic into action once he did. --When first following this series, I had read Giyuu's entrance into this scene as heartless and distant and jaded, which made his change to yelling at him and then hoping he'll do something (even before being impressed by Nezuko) felt strange, but now I read every line as full of kindness and sympathy from the get-go. ;___; Giyuu was hurting for Tanjiro the instant he knew what happened. --Might I say how much I love Nezuko's slow stare at Tanjiro lying on the ground after Giyuu hit him? She's still not making sense of everything going on around her, but there's this pause when she's having to compute that the person (brother???) whom she... doesn't want hurt (cares about???) is... not moving... oh, hurt??? HURT!! HE'S HURT AND THIS GUY DID IT!!!! DEFEND, DEFEND!!! GRRRR!!!!

--The drop of Nezuko's piano theme music as Giyuu comes running, no sound effects to his upcoming violence, I love the juxtaposition

--I have no clue how long Giyuu waited around for Tanjiro to wake up. Probably not terribly long since it's still daytime hours, but long enough to have neatly dressed a demon and fitted her with a muzzle.

--Curious if Giyuu had any knowledge or recollection of Kanae's wish to befriend demons, though the person he thought of who insisted on a demon not harming someone seems to have said that right before being proved wrong, and Giyuu seems to carry guilt for not having prevented their death

--My gosh, Tanjiro is still so little and powerless. He struggled so much while carrying Nezuko, noting how his lungs hurt breathing that frigid air. He has so, so much ahead of him.

God I literally hate myself- after those hc's I really wanted to do a oneshot follow up because I'd end up feeling really bad afterwards Also I just watched the last video of Stampy's lovely world and I'm crying Like seriously I'm not even kidding ANYWAYSSS Below will include; Angst, Fluff, slightly funny moments, horrible writing lmao

Maybe Hanako made a mistake.

Maybe he should've continued hesitating. If not for just a little bit longer.

Sitting on the windowsill in his bathroom, Yashiro mopping around the floor, staring out the window.

It felt.. increasingly nostalgic. Both the good and bad type.

"Hanako-Kun?" 'Amane?'

He blinked, freezing up. It was just Yashiro. It was just Nene. He turned to her, giving her a confused look.

"...Can I leave for the day?"

He snorted, finding it ironic that he was so tense, like she was about to turn into you or something.

Would she?

"Why do you wanna go home so early on in cleaning? What, another boy asking for a rendezvous in an empty classroom, organizing papers?~" He teased, Yashiro huffed.

"I didn't even go! You threatened me, Hanako-Kun!" She flicked her hair over her shoulder sassily, turning away with the mop in her hand, holding it to her chest and looking up like she was fantasizing.. something.

"I'm going to be meeting up with a new spirit! It's a little white kitty, and they said they were my protector! Uwaa~, I wonder if they can transform into a hot guy and we can fall in love, ehehe~" Yashiro giggled dreamily.

Hanako was.. not amused, to say the least. He jumped down from his place at the windowsill, turning her to face him. "You're going to have to tell me where this 'white kitty' is."

She happily complied. "They said they'd be waiting for me at the entrance of the scho- Hanako-Kun?" And just like that, he was gone.

Blush colored petals falling between an apparition and a cat, gracefully threading through the air like dancers desperate to be seen.

"The cherry blossoms are beautiful, are they not?" The cat would ask calmly, in that all too familiar voice. But he can't be too sure yet. He needs to know whether this milk white feline has overstayed their welcome. They could cause trouble. However harsh he was planning to treat the spirit in front of him, however, died down a bit with just the sound of a voice. He was weak, and he knew exactly why.

'God damnit.'

"You know, I don't think letting yourself in is a good idea, Yōkai. What if you were a Yakubyō gami, hm?" "I am not a Yakubyō gami, nor do I intend to act like one." It politely shut him down. Okay.. Alright. Maybe assuming a Yōkai was a Yakubyō gami was a bit offensive. Next apparition name, then.

"So you're just an apparition then." It nodded. "My job is to protect those who summon me. I do not mean to cause harm in any way by associating with that girl of yours." He couldn't help but perk up at that. There was a tone beneath their words. He just couldn't tell what it was. "Girl of mine? She's simply my assistant." This might be more interesting than he'd ever hoped for. "And what about you? Do you not have some sort of a human form, or are you too embarrassed to change into it? You seem quite stoic, though.." Does it look like they're laughing? He certainly is. "I.. do. Would you feel more comfortable if I was in it?" He didn't care, really. He talked to Yako on the daily, but.. He was kind of curious.

"I guess so."

He was surprised, to say the least.

Of course it was you. It had to be you.

What did you even do to end up like him?

Why didn't you come by sooner?

He was lost for words, how could he not be? You were standing right in front of him.

His hand twitched.

His leg moved forward.

But he didn't move. He couldn't.

This isn't the first time this has happened. Both as dreams and hallucinations. How can he be so sure? How can you blame him?

He regrets a lot of things. But he has to admit, one of the things he regrets most is leaving you behind.

You're still here though. Your not disappearing, he's not waking up, Yashiro talked about you for heavens sake.

A sob escaped him, taking off in a sprint and tackling you to the ground. God, it's been so long since he's even shed a tear.

Maybe he wasn't alone anymore. No, he wasn't.

I LOVED EVEYRTHING YOU SAID IN MY YASHIRO ASK AND I TOTALLY AGREE!!

And gosh I never knew nene received that kind of hate? Am I too oblivious 😭😭 but omg the points you mentioned about her being way too nice for her own good? I second that claim- she's actually so selfless. Hell even I would be petty, but that selfless quality makes her even more beautiful.

Also no hate to any character, but I just don't like it when they go about making fun of her legs like anything. Once? Okay, like its comical so it's fine, but I really didn't appreciate the fact that even after mistuba saw that nene's biggest fear was being left alone, unloved, all because of her legs during the mirrors chapter, he STILL chose to make fun of her legs. Who does that please- that instance made me angry-

I really really feel like she needs a break. Or a person who would ACTUALLY hear her out and support her. Because if you want my opinion? NONE of the characters at present would exactly help her out. Like yk what I mean? I want a character being empathetic about Nene for once and hear her out. I feel like the things that happen in the manga most of the times happen against Nene's will. Her problems get doubled, she gets trapped into dangerous situations, she needs a long break-

Anyways thank you so much for the points you shared! I'm so glad to see someone agreeing with me on Nene, she deserves the world and people should know that she's developing too. It's not just kou suffering because of her mother's death and his complex with teru, not just mitsuba suffering because he wants to be a human again but cannot for obvious reasons, not just hanako who killed his twin and regrets it with his whole heart, but also Nene who suffers that complex of feeling unloved, I've never been in the situation often, but I understand what she feels like. Imagine someone says that they find your best friend pretty but ignores you completely, especially if it's a boy. How would you feel? That feeling hits hard. It's not simply "Oh but others shouldn't determine how pretty you actually are." While that's true, we cant help but feel bad now can we?

Yashiro's legs are taken to the comical side of the story, it was something built for that, but I like to point out that this actually bothers her a lot. Hanako loves her legs haha but doesn't admit it, Kou doesn't seem to care about it and he also likes (or liked) her romantically, but she didn't notice, the girl with her head in the clouds haha

Don't get angry with Mitsuba, no one escapes him hahaha no one, not even his own mother XD

In fact, your view is correct, the vast majority of things that happen to Nene are against her will, sometimes because she was too naive or because of the influence of other people. She and Kou are very similar, easily fooled by a sad or beautiful story, they are very easy to convince and manipulate. This is not stupidity, it is naivety. They act like children sometimes (not that I can ask much more than that from two teenagers) but they don't think twice before making decisions.

Nene simply swallowed a mermaid's scale without even hesitating, did she think about the consequences? That's about it.

Nene's complexes are more linked to common and more human problems compared to Kou, Mitsuba and Hanako. This explains why people don't care so much, don't these three's complexes seem to be heavier and more intense than Yashiro's? So, even if that is the case, it doesn't negate her problems. Because if she didn't have these problems she would never have summoned Hanako and the story wouldn't even exist XD

Let's see what Nene's backstory will be, I'm curious to know!

I will say it this time and only this time, answering that type of questions is useless at the moment, I've already explained why in lots of my later posts, there are ones directed to explain this matter here on my blog, it's pretty simple for anyone who feels curious to know why to go and look at these posts to get an answer. I will say a few other things on this matter so it will be officialy closed after this post: I’m not here to justify myself or my feelings on many matters. Not everyone loves her, her personality and actions. Those who feel that way about her or any other characters, have the right to talk about the matter on their blogs, those who feel offended by that, can simply not look at blogs, nothing forces anyone to look at my blog or posts if it's not to their taste. Just focus on things that matter more to you in life, that's way better.

Same goes for another case I'm not going to justify myself with either, that is: My love for Hanako. I will love him as I want, I don't sexualize him, I just love him and want him to be happy. This whole deal is a personal matter and I will talk about it without caring if anyone likes it or not. It’s my blog and I can write whatever I want on it.

I don’t care if someone loves yashiro very much, it has nothing to do with me. Love yashiro as much as you want. I really don’t care about it. On my part, I will love Hanako as much as I want. Stop caring if it's okay for me or not to love him/hate her, I'm the one who decides that. It’s my business, not yours.

just cus im curious and dealing with some crap, how would Hanako and/or Tsukasa help his S/O who tried to scratch the feeling of someone's touch off of them? Not him of course, but someone else like a bully who touched their arm too much and it made them want the feeling ✨off✨ and ended up really messing up their arm in the process.

He doesn't get to see them do it, but when they're cleaning and take off their jacket so it doesn't get dirty he sees their arm? Or he could watch the event go down and could stop them before it happens. Idk.

Hello hello! I am sorry this took a while to get to! I have been having a hard time with my mental health lately so I tried to take a break! I am feeling much better now, tho! I made these into mini oneshots to make up for this being so late! I for some reason felt a lot writing this one even though I haven’t really ever had problems with this..I am so sorry if you are going through things like this. I know that reading some words probably won’t make it all immediately better but I want you to know that you are so loved and appreciated by those around you, even if they don’t seem like it sometimes. Hanako

You were helping Yashiro clean the bathrooms, as you usually do at the end of the day. You still question every single day why this was the thing Hanako wanted Nene and you to do for him as a payment.

He could have had you do anything! I mean think about it! He could have you go around and collect cursed objects or try and stop evil apparitions with him..but no. He instead chose to have you clean bathrooms. Seriously, who even uses these??

You let your mind wander as you wiped the sinks along with the mirrors belonging to each sink. Your sleeve slipped down your forearm and revealed...marks on your skin. You froze your movements entirely. Your breath hitched, this was not the best time. Not now.. please not now... you thought to yourself.

You have been hiding the fact that your bully has been..touchy lately. It made you super uncomfortable and no matter how many times you would wash your arms and scrub them with lots of soap, it felt like your arm was covered by the bully's touch. It made you sick to the stomach just thinking about it.

You must have not heard Nene call your name because you were pulled out of your thoughts by Nene tapping your shoulder a little firm, but not in a way that would hurt you. She was too sweet, you know that. She wouldn't do anything to hurt you. "Did you hear me, (Name)?" Nene looked at you with concern. Before you could answer, Hanako came over to see what was happening. He took one look at your arm and froze.

"What happened to your arm, (Name)..?"

Oh, god dammnit.. This was the last thing you wanted. Why did you not just cover up your arm? Now you have to explain how disturbed you are by the touch of someone who gives you shit all the time. You realized you hadn't said anything and that talking would probably be the best thing you can do right now.

"Uhmm..nothing just..anxiety I guess, heh.."The FUCK was that?!? Now they know you have been hurting your arm!! Great going, (Name). Hanako stared into your eyes for a while, his orbs seemed to be filled with mixed emotions. Hurt, worry, ...anger...?

"..Yashiro, could you give us a few minutes? I will call you back in when we are done," Hanako asked, more like demanded with the tone he used. Yashiro nodded and left without a word. Now it was just you and Hanako. The silence made the air feel thick.

"What happened to your arm?" Hanako looked at you with what looked like a mix of pity and slight anger. What he was angry about, nobody knew. "I was just.. scratching at it. I do that sometimes.." You felt tears fill the brim of your eyes.

Hanako gave you a look that said that we wasn't buying it. "Did something else happen..?" His eyes locked with yours, as if they were looking for something. What were they searching for? You probably knew what, but you didn't want to admit your problems. Hanako already has a lot of things he worries about as it is. It would just be a bother..

"..No, I am just..anxious is all.. It's fine, really!" You tried to reassure him with a fake smile. "You are lying." Hanako said, his tone starting to scare you a bit. Hanako reached out for your arm but you flinched away, pulling your sleeve over your arm."H-Hanako.. you're scaring me.." The tears you were holding in started to stream down your face.

"I'm scaring you? I'M scaring you? (Name), you look like you have been hurting yourself and you aren't telling me what has been going on! I am scared! I am worried about you, (Name)! I don't want you to hurt yourself! I have been there, I get it! But please, tell me what's going on!"

Hanako has tears in his eyes. You'd never seen him like this before. You felt bad now, he was just worried about you. And yet for some reason you decide to not talk to him.

"Hanako.." You reach out to him and before you can get past his name, he already has his arms wrapped tightly around you. He held you like if he let his grip loose even slightly, you would fade away.

"I just..I want you to be okay..So please..please talk to me.." He let out a quiet sob. You hugged him back and started crying with him.

"Okay, Hanako. I will tell you what has been..going on...but can we just...sit down for a few minutes..?" You quietly asked between sniffles and sobs. He slowly nodded, still embracing you in his arms as he sat you both down on the floor by the window sill.

-a few minutes later-

Hanako had finally calmed down and was patiently waiting for you to tell him whatever has been on your mind. You took a deep breath and look into Hanako's curious, orange orbs.

"So..I have told you about (Bully's Name), right?" You softly asked, already starting to feel terrible just saying their name. "Yes..you have told me about them a few times..do they have something to do with this?" Hanako replied, deep concern in his voice.

"Yes, they are involved in this... They have been..kind of an asshole lately and uhm.. they have also been..grabbing my arm and stuff.." You explained, getting more and more anxious as you spoke.

Hanako remained silent, listening to your every word. But you could see that the more he spoke, the more pissed he seemed. He wasn't mad at you, oh, of course not! He just wanted to talk to this..(Bully's Name)... Hanako spoke up after a few moments of silence.

"Are the scratches from them or did you do that?"

"I did that..it feels like their touch is just...always there..like i can't get it off no matter how many times i wash or scrub or..scratch my arm.."

Oh.. Now Hanako understood. He felt bad for you, really. This was not what he thought was originally happening. He is relieved you weren't hurting yourself due to..bad thoughts. However, he is still kind of upset that you have this problem.

"Im so sorry, dear. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" He asked, moving his arm so that he can hold your hand.

You gave his hand a gentle, affirming sqeeze and held a small smile before replying, "I don't think so.. Maybe some cuddles..?"

He smirked at that and let out a small chuckle. "Alright, (Name). Get comfortable, I am not going to be letting you go for a while."

You ended up falling asleep while having your face in Hanako's neck. Noticing this, Hanako smiled and gave a kiss to your forehead. The last thing he remembers before falling asleep is whispering into your ear, "As long as I am around, I won't let them hurt you. You have my word. Sweet dreams, love." And then he fell asleep on the floor of the bathroom, you in his loving arms.

Tsukasa

You were making your way towards the broadcasting room since the last bell of the day had rung. You couldn't wait to see Tsukasa, he said that he had a surprise for you. You wondered what it could possibly be. Knowing him, though, it might be a dead mokke he found or possibly some kind of tea party date.

You two often had tea party dates and while they are nice and all, you really want to just sit down and cuddle every once in a while.Your thought train was forced to a halt when you heard your name being called by a certain someone.

Oh no.. please not now.. you thought to yourself and as you tried your best to ignore the voice and continue walking to the broadcasting room. "(Name)! Did you not hear me? Deaf bitch, can't even respond to your own name! How pathetic!" (Bully's Name) called out to you. Just ignore it..just ignore it.. you're almost there..

Turns out ignoring it was not the best choice you have made. You felt a firm and painfully tight grip on your wrist, yanking backwards and onto the floor. You hit the ground and felt the air knocked out of your lungs. You closed your eyes and let out a pained groan.

(Bully's Name) chuckled manically and stared down at you. "Oh, how pathetic! You can't even keep yourself standing!" Hearing those words made your eyes feel glossy. You knew you couldn't keep yourself standing. You knew that already. But despite that fact, you still tried. You still tried to stand your ground.

You felt your eyes start to tear up, and you tried to rub your eyes to stop them from streaming down your face. Before you can lift them to your face, (Bully's Name) grabs both your wrists and stares you down. You try and pull your wrists away, tears rolling down your cheeks now.

"All I have to do is grab your wrists and you act all pathetic! It's funny how weak you are!" They just kept spewing insult after insult until they were satisfied with your state of being.

You watched as they left and went to turn the corner of the hallway when you heard them let out a pained cry followed by rapid footsteps getting further and further away. Had he run into someone else? Before you could even try and answer that question, you felt your arm start to burn.

Not in a way where it hurt, but it a way where it was uncomfortable and you felt like (Bully's Name) was still touching you. It felt horrible. You started scratching your arm trying to get the feeling off when two hands gently held your wrists away from each other.

Your eyes shot up in fear, had (Bully's Name) come back to torment you?

No, it was actually your boyfriend Tsukasa. You looked up at him in shock, not knowing what to say. Was he the one that ran into your bully? He must have, (Bully's Name) is not the type to get scared easily and Tsukasa was the most sadistic person..ghost..you knew.

"Hi, Doll~ Who was that back there? I noticed they were getting reallll close to you.." Tsukasa asked, his eyes going dark. His tone sent a shiver down your spine.

“Oh them, that was just..never mind. Can you let go of my wrists please? They hurt..” you mumbled the last part to yourself. But Tsukasa only let go of one of your wrists and held your face with his free hand.

“Doll, I know you’re lying. If you tell me who it is, I will give you cuddles~” he tried to deal with you despite the fact that even if you did get cuddles, he always ends up clinging to you in the broadcasting room anyway. Cuddles did sound pretty promising, though.

“…Fine. That was (Bully’s Name). They have been…talking to me since middle school. I don’t know why but all I know is that they keep touching my arms along with insulting me a lot and it makes me uncomfortable.” You admitted, already knowing Tsukasa was going to end up finding and killing this kid. Oh well, you tried.

“Ohh~ They must be the reason you are always itching at your arms, yes? Well, you won’t have to worry about them anymore.” The last part made you feel uneasy. But at the same time, you wouldn’t be seeing (Bully’s Name) again..

“Now, let’s go to the broadcasting room. ‘Kay, (Name)?” Tsukasa asked you, holding out his hand for you to take. You gave a gentle smile and took his hand. You nodded and he teleported you to the broadcasting room.

-A few minutes later-

Tsukasa had you on his arms on the couch in the broadcasting room. And while you realized that Tsukasa never gave you your surprise, you didn't care since you were starting to feel tried. You felt Tsukasa kiss your cheek before kissing your neck gently, telling you to sleep if you need to.

You eventually fell asleep in his arms and Tsukasa pet your hair gently, smiling at your sleeping form. Sakura and Natsuhiko walked in and were about to say something when Tsukasa gave them “the stare”. They got the message and left quietly.

Tsukasa couldn’t wait to track down this (Bully’s Name) and make sure they pay for what they did to you. But for right now, he was going to hold you close and whisper sweet nothings to you as you slept peacefully in his grasp.

Why are you doing this?!'' the girl with radishes for ankles questioned you. Her teenage body trapped in a beautifully crafted chair. She looked like she should be Alice, and you should be the Cheshire cat. You weren't allowing her to go by herself with that much of a supposed 'Senpai'. ''Aww~ Don't worry Nene! • After the incident of well. Amane Yugi's last day, you passed on that same day, the same way. Tsukasa [The human Yorishiro]

• As much as he cares for you, he cares about power more. • at his little meeting of his with his crew, you figured out that he had somewhat, a hostage. • It was… A Pufferfish?🐡 • where the hell did he get that? • it wasn't like he wasn't going to keep it there as a pet. • never the less, you wrote down your thoughts and situations in your journal, as usual. before ''Ooo! Lemme borrow that for a quick sec!'' his Amber eyes went empty, there was no life inside of them, just pure 'curiosity'. I mean he was just going to use it to 'de-stress' like he always does. Your hand was hesitant in giving the younger twin the pen you were using just a second ago, but you gave in. Knowing that bad things would happen if you didn't obey. ''…And guess what! There were fish!'' he excitedly announced, ''Fish. I sounded what talking fish are like on the inside…doesn't it make you curious? I'M super curious~!'' Tsukasa's voice was filled with this scary tone, the one that sent shivers down your spine like they do in horror and thriller movies. ''Hey Sakura San, what rumor will we spread today?'' you questioned the lady closest to the mic while you yourself were putting on your headphones. Natsuhiko's confident voice fills the room, ''My lady, I think we've been spotted, by this… Fishy thing.'' followed by ''Fish!'' ''It's not really a problem, let it go.'' ''As you wish~'' But before Natsuhiko could throw the sea creature away, the child ghost snatched it from his hands, like stealing candy from a baby. You slowly took off your headphones, wanting to know what the sudden case of interaction was about, only to hear the same question be repeated again. ''What do you think talking fish is like, on the inside?'' ''Don't kill it.'' Tsukasa's ear to ear grin sent even more shivers, causing you to order, ''Don't, Tsukasa.'' His grin turned into a light hearted smile, which unfortunately didn't change the atmosphere in the room. ''Don't worry!'' Hanako's twin reassures, ''I'm just gonna take a little peek!'' The three humans in the room turned away in disgust of how he took advantage of a poor fish and your pen, and turned the desk into a gruesome scene. ''Oh! (Y/n), your pen is dirty, allow me to clean it up for you!!'' The ghost boy passively aggressively 'offered'. At least you guys cleaned up the scene before anyone could notice.

Teru [The oldest Minamoto brother]

• Funny thing was the 'crime scene' wasn't really a crime scene • you both just found a whole ton of supernaturals and…Akane's glasses? • You and Teru figured that the vice president might be in huge trouble, so what can two exorcists do? • Try to save him of course❤!

''Oh my!'' you dramatically gasped to get the supposed couple to see you and the tall blonde next to you. ''Are we… Interrupting something?'' The President questioned, making the couples identites be revealed. You figured out the girl was Aoi San and that they were having a moment, which lead you to teasing Akane about finally getting his girl.

You guys find an exit, and Teru told the squad to not look back. Later on, on this long walk, you overheard Akane and Aoi having such an awkward conversation, which reminded you of the first time you and Teru met each other. ''Aoi reminds me of someone~'' You teased Kou's older brother, causing him to have a noticeable rose tint all over his face. The sad thing is, you only felt dread when you didn't see the purple haired girl when you all made it home.

I know it's only one question at a time but I need to ask these questions all together. 1st: What is your theory of why Hanako-kun was sealed? (I'm quite curious)2°: Do you think Hanako-kun will lose the seal in the manga probably because of Tsukasa?3°: If that happens, do you think he will lose control? There's no rules to questions! So long as you don't mind a possibly long answer. I'm glad you're just curious about my thoughts ^^ I would be talking to myself all day even if nobody was listening, but it is nice if it's entertaining for someone too (: Lets ponder together…

1.Why Hanako was sealed... This I have so few thoughts on. I'm always a little dubious about Minamoto claims, as they have a family narrative upheld, and they obfuscate knowledge and details to suit their dogma. Obviously they aren't always 100% lying, but at least I consider they have a kind of propaganda with their storytelling...

Even when Teru, valuable Minamoto son and current champion or whatever, comes to Nagisa for help, the impulse is to keep information from him ... its all like that inside this lousy business.

everyone seems to work in this duplicitous way to maintain control of handling situations. They don't want a delegation. They want to take care of problems internally. Information can be hidden, distorted, or retold favorably.

How old is/was grandma Minamoto? Did she seal Hanako right away? Was he a normal ghost? Was he distorted by rumors, was he given another chance, does it tie into why he became a mystery, did the Minamoto used to work with the mysteries, or was that always a solution forged by some other group? Why didn't she exorcise him? Did she choose to not, because of something about him, as a mercy, or ... could she just not? What does 'using all her strength' mean, lol?

A lot to wonder but not anything to know. I only try to remain skeptical of whatever bullshit Heroic story Kou specifically was fed as a child, since Teru doesn't want him knowing their family's unpleasant history, or sympathizing with kaii…..

2. I think it's more likely Hanako would lose the seal because of Yashiro, than Tsukasa … I feel as if the seal represents repression, or things Hanako holds back, or… things about himself he doesn't want to be true, or doesn't accept. When Yako talks about her warped self "still being me", he touches it.

I don't think he likes what Yako is saying, given he believes being a kaii warps you past recognizability, and he himself has given up his identity to his kaii existence, erasing Amane.

I'm sure whoever is behind that seal, maybe Hanako wrestles with the idea of that, too, being "himself". Many aspects of his self, his past, he doesn't want to consider, anymore. Or at least ... he doesn't want someone like Yashiro to see.

Yashiro can peel seals, and she's interested in getting to know Hanako. I hope there comes a situation he either finally wants it taken off to do something he needs his full strength for, OR a situation Yashiro makes the decision for HERSELF to peel it off, even if he resists or is afraid. I would love that, anyway (: dreams.

As for Tsukasa, somehow I think looking at him reinforces the desire in Hanako to keep it stuck on. A reminder of what 'loss of control' once resulted in .... In any case, I think Hanako wants the seal to stay, that's my impression right now, given it feels as if he could probably easily privately ask for Yashiro to peel it? She's so in love with him, and she was so ignorant early on … If he's had it on for so long, he may be more afraid of 'returning' to a way he once was, if it's taken off.... ?

3. Yes, I think Hanako has a lot more capability when not sealed! For one thing, Tsukasa seems to gain more and more power as the yorishiro are peeled, and the power is "returned to its original form" (the well God... ? Tsukasa ?) … he seems stronger.

Tsukasa's 'sleep' spell was a lot more effective on Yashiro (in Hell of Mirrors), than Hanako's was (in Picture Perfect), for some reason…

While I think Hanako is hiding his abilities even as it is, and is disguising any benefit destroying yorishiro may have, I imagine his own yorishiro, or ~battery as HE HIMSELF HAS PUT IT, gaining more and more, would have to benefit him… ? I dunno, it's extrapolation at this point-- maybe Tsukasa would weaken, and Hanako would strengthen, if Hanako were to be peeled, as the flow of power between them would suggest …? Maybe Tsukasa can only gain strength right now, BECAUSE Hanako is sealed, and can't absorb more?

I always feel as if power between them could actually instantaneously flip, 'cuz Iro-sensei likes that kind of twist... Tsukasa is Amane's belonging, after all...

Vince has a lot of respect for Rogue, what she's achieved, how she's running the Afterlife, everything really. To make it to her age in this line of business is an impressive feat, and to have a reputation as good as hers to go along with it even more so. Simultaneously, after seeing some of Johnny's memories of her, Vince got the impression that through all of this she stayed true to herself, and he believes she's blaming herself for things she had no control over. Both these things speak in her favour too though, in a way - she kept her humanity and didn't lose herself in the city like many others. I think seeing what Rogue has achieved against all odds gives him hope for the future in a strange way.

He'd obviously never tell her anything of this in person, she probably wouldn't give a fuck about his opinion anyway, as is her right. But yes... I think respectful admiration but professional distance sums up their relationship quite well.

💴- Hanako Arasaka

The thing with the Arasakas is, they're so hard to read. Hanako, so incredibly illusive and out of the public's eye, in particular. Vince's father always had the Arasakas on a bit of a pedestal, praising them for their achievements and whatnot, so admittedly, he is somewhat curious about them and wants to know what all the fuss is about.

His direct interactions with Hanako are of brief duration, given all the external factors at play, way too short really to form a solid opinion of her. On the one hand for Takemura's sake, but also because the whole Mikoshi scenario Alt suggests doesn't sit super well with Vince, he meets her at Embers to hear her out with sincerity. He can never shake the feeling that he's being manipulated while talking to her, despite trusting Takemura's judgement that Hanako is someone you can talk to, and that she has her own reasons to also put her trust in them. It scares him a bit how almost like a reflex during that conversation he reverts back to all the empty phrases and pleasantries he used to utilize so frequently during his time at the corporation, as if nothing ever happened, as if he was back working there already. He's leaving the place feeling even more conflicted than before, wanting to trust her, but also feeling like he's being played, once again, and treated like a pawn in a game he cannot win.

🔮- Misty Olszewski

When Jackie first introduces Misty to him, Vince's initial reaction is "really? but why?" because they seem like they don't really match. He doesn't quite understand what Jackie sees in her, isn't too keen on her whole esoteric stuff either, and overall feels like she is too much from a different world to his own to really find a common ground. I'm not even speaking of her being from Heywood, Vince from Westbrook, because that also applies to him and Jackie. Their interests and views are just very far apart, or so it seems initially.

As time goes on though and Vince sees just how happy Misty makes his best friend, and vice versa, he's reminded of something Jackie told him quite often: to never judge a book by its cover. He manages to look past all the - to him - "weird" stuff he doesn't get about Misty and recognizes what a sweet and loving and positive person she is. She cares so much for the people around her, loves life, and usually just leaves him with a good feeling after every conversation they have, despite all his initial reservations.

He still doesn't quite get the whole tarot and mysticism stuff, he probably never will, but because it's Misty he lets her do her thing and promises to keep more of an open mind to new experiences.

Feelings Toward TBHK Characters

I saw someone do this and immediately wanted to do it too. Technically I had this in drafts for a while, so I had to do it over again. 

Nene - I do like Nene and think she’s adorable. She wants to make the people she loves feel better but can also recognize the selfishness in herself. I notice it’s a thing with myself, if a character is IxFP, I tend to not like them very much, but that’s not the case with her. 

Hanako - Absolutely favourite character in the series that I wouldn’t even know where to begin with rambling about. Well, I will say i love his expressions and comedic moments! (I also love his English dub voice, it fits him so well and the acting is soooo good)

Kou - Kind of took me a while to like him but he’s a pretty cool character, he is a little rash at first but capable of coming around the block and I love how he had the idea to make donuts for Hanako but as an idea from Nene - I thought that was so sweet. 

Teru - He’s not evil but he’s not entirely a good guy either. I like how he presents himself but I like how he’s childish and poisoned by hatred (poor mokke...). I would really love for him to get a taste of his own medicine, like his darker side could be revealed to the students and everyone rejects him as punishment. I also hope at some point he could come around the block.

Tiara - Actually I do like Tiara but I don’t really care about her. I think it’s kind of lame she’s just a kid and is so powerful though. Also really AidaIro, I don’t like how closely the Minamotos resemble each other, it feels lazy. 

Nanamine - Nanamine is so mysterious and cool. I’m really drawn to her and curious to know her story. Love her voice and the way she talks. 

Natsuhiko - Ehhhh, he’s okay, he can be funny. I like the bit at the end, “Sayonara, baby” when he and Nene are in that weird limbo space. xD I’m also curious about what will become of him and what his feelings will be towards Sakura when her goal is reached. 

Tsuchigomori - Cool as fuck with a bomb design. I love his interactions with Kou 😭 and I love that despite never being human he’s fine to interact with them and doesn’t seem to bear a grudge like you see from non-human beings in other media. It’s refreshing. I love that he cared about Hanako so much that his suicide/the rock the kid gave him affected him enough to take it as his yorishiro. (I wonder what it was before?)

 Aoi - I have always just been neutral towards her! But it’d be great if she could come back to life and she and what’s his face could be happy.

Akane - I like his design more than I like his character, but it was pretty cool to find out he is half Supernatural. 

Yako - Neutral but I also feel deeply for her. The Misaki Stairs arc just makes me so sad and I hurt seeing how Yako is. I kind of hope she and that one teacher guy could talk or get together. 

Shijima - Shijima my beloved (familial). Her arc, particularly at the end, stirred up so many emotions in me. AidaIro dubbed it an arc that didn’t make sense but it made perfect sense to me. The scene where the “real” SM was in the hospital with those creepy nurses gossiping with false pities was so ominous and yet she just ignored it all. She wanted to be an artist and finish her painting but she died and I’m so sad, but then she made peace with herself and found her way and I teared up and felt so many things. Beautiful character.

Tsukasa - I mean, at first, I liked and was curious about this character, then I felt kind of “eh” about him because of flatness. Then Red House arc came, an arc I don’t care for which ironically made me love Tsukasa but I still echo the complaint he still feels flat and unexplained. Bomb design though. He’s like The Spooky Hanako.

Mitsuba - I like pretty much everyone in this series except character. And it’s niot that I hate him or have strong feelings against him, I just don’t like him. It’s for exactly the reason other characters didn’t, but I also really, really don’t like his voice in either dub or Japanese. His design is pleasant though and a lot of art people make of him is visually nice too.
