i'm discovering the sublime joys of natural plant fibers. literally don't know how to knit or crochet or anything and barely know how to sew but extracting and spinning fibers is apparently like the golden ratio of physical and mental activities for me. It's so much fun I will lose hours at a time just HONED in on my yarn and stuff.

Milkweed is so awesome as a plant oh my god. It produces ultra-soft seed fluffs that apparently can be spun if you're careful, the fibers are so smooth they can easily pull apart but making three strands and spinning them into a three-ply yarn seems promising, seems like it would be strong enough to work with. The seed fluffs were historically used widely as stuffing for jackets and pillows and the like, which they are amazing for. Milkweed fluff is way warmer than wool apparently? And on top of it, it has this gorgeous silky sheen. It's SO pretty and it's SO soft.

But the milkweed stems also have bast fiber which is very strong and is obtained by taking the dead stems and beating the crap out of them until the woody stuff is all broken and the fibers separate. This stuff is strong and soft and also has a nice sheen to it and I'm excited to see what could be made from it

Altogether it's a shit ton of usable material per plant, all of which is harvested after the plant dies back for the winter, not affecting its ability to regrow the next spring. With common milkweed, the stems can be greater than 6ft tall and the seed pods are big and each containing a lot of fluff. I filled a whole plastic grocery bag with seed pods, easy, just by walking through a field with lots of milkweed.

Apparently an old common name for milkweed is "wild cotton" which strongly suggests that the seed fluffs have been used for textile purposes

I've also learned from browsing foraging sites, the Myaamia ethnobotanical database and various books that Milkweed has an insane amount of culinary uses. It must be cooked because of the poisons in it that discourage munching by predators, but you can eat the leaves, the flowers, the underdeveloped seed pods (apparently they are compared to cheese?! And the flowers color drinks pink??)

I'm working with Dogbane (Apocynonum cannabinum) bast fibers right now and they're sooooo great. Not only is beating the fibers a ton of fun, the fibers are a really beautiful shiny chestnut-blonde sort of color and very strong and fine and soft.

Dogbane fibers also have this lovely fragrance that is like a blend of cedar and forest soil and old books. Milkweed has its own distinct fragrance, very subtle, that I struggle to describe and don't like as much, but it's cool to notice that it has a smell.

A note for the fellow strugglers in TS1

Hey, it's Seth! I know how frustrating TS1 can be (considering it's age and being the first game in the franchise), so I am here to introduce a list of personal must have mods and programs, which I always use whenever I re-install the game to make it more user-friendly. The list itself is quite short, actually, since it only consists of my personal gameplay choice mods. So there's no building objects, deco, skins and heads there.

MODS AND CC

This calendar will report the day of the month to your sims and -- and this is amazing -- even introduce a concept of days off. Sims should have about every 6th and 7th day off. - THE ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE. It's in the painting section and costs 15 simoleons. Works a bit wonky with children, but otherwise a very useful mod to have.

Call work/give interview job phone plugins to give your sim a day off. - I use those mostly when sims have to take care of the baby.

A family mod by Gothi_family_4ever. - another must have in my collection, introduces the familial relationships in game! No more inappropriate relationships between relatives. It's a 0 simoleon painting, which you can delete once you've done.

A hacked frigde mod by the same author. - allows your sims to put their food into the refrigirator, call the household members for the meal, and requires the usage of products (like meat and in-game vegetables) in order to cook a dish instead of insta-paying. You kinda have to build a grocery shop for your sims, so they could buy the required products, I prefer to install the stalls into the pre-existing farm shop in Old Town area. P.S DON'T FORGET TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTALLING BEFORE DRAGGING ANY FILE. As much as I love this mod, I don't, for example, use their cereal add-on.

The Elixir ExpressiBuy Computer. - a computer that allows you to buy any in-game buyable product (like vacation gifts, grocery, tonics, etc etc) in stock. They won't magically appear overnight but would be brought by a special courier npc. It also allows your sim to research logic, creativity, culinary and mechanical skills. I'd also recommend diving further into their site, since they have a lot of cool and unique gameplay content as well!

MagiCo's Bookshelf of Dimensional Storage - the official Maxis item, that was in the 'Get Cool Stuff' section. Allows your sims to keep their magic coins and ingrediends in special bookshelf storage, I mostly use it so the kids could get the ingredients for their spells from the adults. It is in the Magic section, btw

The Magic Mirror - the only outright cheat object that I have in my possesion. This mirror refreshes your sims needs, builds skills, friends, stardom, etc. Saves headaches when you are not in the mood to fullfill your sims' mood, ha-ha.

PROGRAMS

SimEnchancer 3D - basically a program that allows you to change the basic sim's attributes, including their heads and bodytypes. If you are familiar with TS2's SimPE, you'd have the idea how it works. NOTE: if you have to run your TS1 game as an administrator, you'd have to open it up in the same vein as well. And don't forget to backup your UserData files when you are working with it, just in case!

The Sims Creator - the official Maxis program for players to create some basic skins content. The program is only suitable to work with head and skins textures and not the meshes! Likewise, if you have to open the game as an administrator, you'd have to do the same with that program.

NEIGHBORHOODS

This section for the fellow premade enjoyers out there, who mostly played TS2 before and decided to give the local premades a chance as well

Here you can download the original UserData 1 and 2 if you want to reset your neigborhoods as they were if you had already played the neighborhood before and want to start anew. The Sims Wiki also gives you an instruction for how to do so.

And here you can download the additional Maxis families like The Hatfield, The Maximus, The Mashuga, The Snooty, The Jones and that weird agent White House familes. For some reasons, some of them refused to function in my game, so I had to install the empty houses and recreate them by hand, using the SimEnchancer and Wikia to give them appropriate skills and careers.

OTHER

Sims 1 Alternative UI - refreshes your game by a margin. I really recomend this one!

A/n: Slight projection on Xavier’s part as I am guilty of not keeping myself feed whilst doing stuff.

Xavier tends to forget to keep himself well fed when preoccupied by his artistic outlets down by the shed he had yet to step out of since earlier that afternoon as soon as school had finished.

Worried, you decided to put your culinary skills to work by utilising Nevermore’s kitchens and making a plethora of sweet treats, including some of his favourites, such as; white Chocolate chip and raspberry infused cookies, apricot shortbread bars, mini blueberry muffins, small portions of lemon cakes, Blackberry & Almond buckle.

All of which you had safely stored in tupperware boxes after they had cooled down and then placed in a bag that you kept on hand for when you baked an excessive amount for your own two arms to carry on their own. Plus you didn’t want to walk through the woods in the pitch black of night where you could potentially trip over an upturned root and ruin all your hard work on the basis that you weren’t spatially aware of your surroundings.

So when you made it safely to the shed, having not bothered to inform Xavier of your surprise visit, you knocked in a specific pattern that you had made prior to when you and Xavier had started to become close to signify to him that it was just you and not some teacher on night parole.

“I thought you would be asleep by now.” Xavier said as he lead you inside the shed, closing the door behind you though not before checking the perimeter first for certainty that you weren’t followed. “And here I thought you would’ve kept to your promise about keeping yourself fed whilst you were cooped up in here but I guess we’re both mistaken.” You retorted, arms crossed over your chest as you stared at him disapprovingly.

Xavier grimaced as he rubbed the back of his head, knowing that he had forgot to do something but lately he has found himself on an creative high that he completely ignored the fact that he has a stomach to satisfy. “Did you…by chance…” Xavier trails off, his eyes seemingly too shy to meet your own as a small smile crept on his face, making it extremely hard for you to stay mad at him.

“Yes”, you sigh but a smile broke out on your lips when Xavier dove for the bag and took it to his desk where he carefully pulled out the tupperware boxes. Opening the one containing the white chocolate and raspberry infused cookies, taking one out as he took a bite and heaved a heavenly sigh as he closed his eyes at the textures attacking his tastebuds. “God I fucking love your baking sweetheart.” He says, reaching over to press a kiss to your lips where you could taste the white chocolate and raspberry on them.

“I swear you do this just to get free treats out of me.” You said between bites of your blackberry and almond buckle. “Or maybe I just need an excuse to see you?” Xavier attempts to sweeten you up but is met with a scoff. “Don’t start flattering me, Thorpe because it’s not going to excuse you from the fact that you haven’t eaten all afternoon.” You replied, watching as the hopeful look in his green eyes were dashed to bits.

He was acting like a kicked puppy dog and you hated the internal struggle you were having about whether or not you should smother him in love or just smother his for making you worry. So instead you came up to hug him tightly, burying your face into his neck as his arms naturally came down to your waist. “Im just trying to look out for you Xavier, I know how you get sometimes and I don’t wanna risk you coming down with something that could’ve been easily avoided. I get that your passionate about your art projects but you can’t complete them if your running on an empty stomach.”

Xavier understood where you were coming from and he hates himself for making you worry but it was moments like this where his insecurities began to fade to the back of his mind as he was reminded of how much you did care about him. Putting him in the forefront of your mind as you made him your delicious treats that he could gorge on forever if he could and making sure that he was taking care of himself both mentally and physically. You were as sweet as your treats that he swore he was getting cavities just by being in your arms.

He presses his head against to top of your own, planting a plethora of kisses there as he held you tighter against him as you both stood in his art studio within the comfort of one another. “I can’t promise that I’ll take better care of myself.” He started, “but I can however promise that I’ll never allow you to worry about me this badly ever again. For I don’t know what I do without you sometimes and I’d rather like to stick around for the long run. If you’ll let me of course.”

You tightened your grip on him, “you fucking dumbass, of course I want you here with me for the long run because,” you pulled away just enough to stare him in the eyes, “who will be my lab rat for when I attempt new recipes?” Xavier deadpans as you laugh at his expression but he doesn’t let you go from his arms. Instead they tightened. “This is your prison now until feel as though you served your sentence for saying that shit.” He said as he waddles with you in his arms. “Good because I don’t plan on escaping anytime soon.” You chirped, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

The Baratie restaurant buzzed with activity, the clatter of dishes and the sizzle of pans creating a cacophonous symphony of flavors. As you and Sanji worked side by side, the hours passed in a whirlwind of culinary artistry. Both of you were accustomed to the hustle and bustle of the busy restaurant, but today had been particularly demanding. Finally, as the evening sun dipped below the horizon, the last customers bid their farewells. The staff, except for you and Sanji, had already headed to bed for the night, leaving the two of you to tackle the post-dinner cleanup. The kitchen was now bathed in a warm, golden glow, the aftermath of a long and exhausting shift.

You and Sanji moved with a practiced efficiency, scrubbing pans, wiping down countertops, and tidying up the chaos that had ensued during the dinner rush. Despite the fatigue that settled into your bones, there was an unspoken connection between you, a bond forged in the heat of the kitchen. As you stacked plates, Sanji's voice broke the comfortable silence. "You know, we make a pretty good team." You looked up, a tired but content smile playing on your lips. "We do, don't we? Sanji's voice was a soft whisper against your ear. "You know, mi amor, it's moments like these that make it all worth it. "You nodded in agreement, your cheek resting against his shoulder. "I couldn't agree more, Sanji." As the mental song reached its conclusion, the two of you shared a lingering kiss, sealing the moment with a promise of love and togetherness. The other workers erupted into applause, their cheers and laughter filling the room. With the kitchen serenade complete, you and Sanji returned to the real world, where the challenges of the restaurant still awaited. Remus stinks like weed, and you're the antithesis. You're sweet flowers and tasty treats, and somehow that relaxes him more than the drugs.

He's smoking on the couch, a sitcom playing that's infinitely funnier to him while he's high than when he's not. You putter past with the laundry basket on your hip, fresh towels smelling not unlike yourself. You're not sure what wafted your scent over to him, maybe it was the swish of your hair, maybe it was the pop of your hip, but something gave him a whiff, and he turns to call after you.

"Dove," He murmurs, "C'mere."

"No time, Remus." You lament, propping the basket up on the counter, "There's cookies in the oven, the backyard chairs need hosing down, and I'm prepping my lunches for the week."

"I'll hose the chairs," He compromises, as if that somehow erases the timed pressure of your culinary tasks, "C'mere."

"Two minutes," You warn with narrowed eyes, and he nods faithfully.

The second you hit his lap, you know it'll be longer than that.

He stuffs his face into your neck, his nose butting flush to your pulse point. The breath he draws in is overexaggerated, and it makes you giggle from the ticklish feeling of his stubble against your throat.

"Mmm," He groans, bracing a hand on the back of your neck so that he can lean forwards, tipping you back without sending you to the floor, "'Wanna bottle you up, love. Drink you in all day. Do y'think you'd fit in my pocket?"

"No," You rest your forehead against his hair, kissing his temple as you slide your hand into his back left pocket, "But you could just start using my lotion if you like it that much."

BORDERLANDS COLLEGE AU

Stupid idea I had a few nights ago, don't think too hard about the inconsistencies in ages and stuff. Probably just doing Vault Hunters and a few other characters.

ROLAND

Majoring in cybersecurity. Good student, studies and gets consistently high grades. Has a well-formulated meal and workout plan. Also an RA on campus. Roland is the guy you go to if you have issues. He might not be great at "talking you through them" or "showing empathy" but he always has solid advice and is well-respected by his peers.

BRICK

I was going to say "Brick wouldn't go to college in canon" but this isn't canon babeyyyy. Brick is going into veterinary medicine. You may think this is completely off as a major for him, but I argue that his love for dogs is far greater than any challenge he may face in his education. Still a gym maniac. Roland is his RA, which means Roland is in charge of calming Brick down when he gets mad. Dating Mordecai. Also, unrelated but Brick in a philosophy class:

LILITH

Y'all are going to hate me for this but Lilith is a chemistry major. Girl loves fire, electricity, and acid so you can't tell me she wouldn't be a menace in her labs. The reason I made this list (big surprise, V does a huge post and it's Maya's fault), Maya majors in entomology. Oh good lord, who let her on a college campus. Has an extravagant single room because she's *rich* and she's not sharing with someone else are you insane? Son Goku X Wonder Woman Gibslythe Ship Table (Updated version)

Context:

Goku at the end of GT.

Wonder Woman from the Justice League / Unlimited animated series.

Goku was suddenly thrown into the DC universe after a training accident in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. He realises he's on Earth, just not his Earth and sees it's in trouble from the invading aliens in "Secret Origins" episode.

Big/Little Spoon: Goku isn't a still sleeper, moving all over the bed in an undignified manner but when Diana wishes to cuddle, Goku is always the big spoon, despite being shorter than her.

Lends/Borrows Clothes: Goku is willing to lend Diana some spare Gi for training, doesn't help that he kinda finds it attractive on Diana.

Doesn't/Does Use Pet Names: Goku nor Diana are ones to use pet names, though Diana will say "My love" in private. Goku doesn't really use Pet names because he never really saw the reason for it.

Introverted/Extroverted: Goku is the definition of an extrovert, always happy to see the world and the adventures he may come across. He's spontaneous, loves fun and has the ability to live in the moment. Diana lived most her life on a secluded island so she's eager to see the rest of the world, and she's happy to have Goku be the one to join her.

Awkward AF/Cool as a Cucumber: Both Goku and Diana are experienced warriors, being cool and collected under stressful and dangerous situations, however, in worst case scenarios, both can allow emotions to overcome them and control their actions.

Confesses First/Waits For Confession: Diana doesn't beat around the bush and told Goku her feelings as soon as she was sure what she felt was love. Goku hadn't felt this way about a woman since Chi-Chi and had basically unintentionally told Diana he loved her.

"You know, I kinda feel weird when I'm with you."

"Oh? How so do you mean?"

"It's just that the last time I felt this way with someone was with Chi-Chi."

"Chi-Chi... the woman who was your wife?"

"Yeah. I really loved her, she made my heart beat fast, my skin feel tingly and I was always happy seeing her. So I'm kinda confused on why I'm feeling this way with you."

"Oh?... Oh!"

Screams About/Squashes Bugs: Goku doesn't kill bugs, preferring to just remove them. Diana is the same, especially after seeing Goku's kind heart to all living life.

Drives/Can't Drive: Goku did pass his driving test and can drive a car, but after years of not driving he's gotten rusty. Though he's been forbidden from flying the team's jet used in the Justice League. Diana is a better pilot than driver.

Can't Cook/Makes Dinner: Goku can never hold a candle to Chi-Chi's culinary skills, but he knows how to cook basic stuff like raw meat, and his days as a farmer let him learn what the best fruits and vegetables look and taste like. Diana is similar but was taught by the cooks of Themyscira so she knows more than Goku does at least.

Horny AF/Asexual: Both are natural warriors, whose blood boils in the heat of battle. Saiyan men love strong women, be it in physical strength or will, and Diana certainly has both those. Sparring with Diana can get Goku excited in more ways than one and half the time after a good session Goku is certainly in the mood. Diana also finds herself drawn to Goku, a strong, kind man who doesn't look down on women but instead is amazed and excited by them. Goku is the exact opposite to how men are depicted by her mother and Diana is all to pleased by that.

Top/Bottom: Being from a female dominant island and raised to be a powerful and independent woman, Diana likes being on top but is willing to let Goku take the reins. Goku is a switch, happy and fine with being either top or bottom, as long as he and his partner are happy and feeling good.

Has More/Has No Relationship Experience: Goku was married to Chi-Chi, so he certainly has more experience than Diana.

How it happened:

I like to imagine the romance happened gradually, after all this is a action based show. For Goku, he didn't imagine he'd fall in love with someone other than Chi-Chi, he also didn't realise that he was actually feeling romantic emotions for Diana.

For Diana, she's fascinated by Goku, who he is, his history and wanted to get to know more of the kind yet powerful stranger. Over time, her fascination changes to feelings of love and she wanted to get closer to the Saiyan.

Handling Conflict:

Goku doesn't have a mean bone in his body, nor does he really hold grudges, look at half his friends in the Z fighters, he's also very laid back kind of guy, never really worrying about issues. He never really has any issues with Diana or anything she does.

Diana is closer to the middle when it comes to forgiveness, depending on the scenario. If its something trivial, Diana can brush it off and easily forgive but hates it when Goku risks his life or gets overly carried away in a fight with enemies.

Relationship Attitude:

Diana is the more dedicated of the two (Not to say Goku doesn't care), since she's never been in a relationship before so its exciting for her and she wants to make the most of it. She's also a balance of doing PDA and being reserved, happy to show Goku affection but doesn't feel the need to broadcast it for everyone to see.

Goku certainly wants to put the effort in with Diana, but just like with Chi-Chi, he doesn't feel the need to go on extravagant dates, more of 'go with the flow' kind of guy and he's more comfortable with displaying affection for Diana.

Showing affection:

Goku is a master fighter, a master tactician and master adaptor, but he's no master with words, but he's certainly affectionate with his actions, hugging and kissing Diana, also sparring. With both Goku and Diana being fighters, they display their emotions through action and combat, hell a big reason Goku loves Diana is because she's a warrior as well.

Diana would definitely be the one to initiate acts of affection more and she's a good balance of verbal and non-verbal affection.

Dealing With Jealousy:

Goku doesn't feel jealous, even when he sees other men leer at or try to flirt with Diana, he knows Diana loves him.

Diana on the other hand can't help but get annoyed by how other women, both civilian and heroine, ogle or try their luck with him, but finds it amusing how dumbfounded those women become by Goku's naivety. She also likes it when Goku shows her attention if and when he notices her jealousy.

Attachment:

Goku trusts Diana and her capabilities as a warrior so he isn't overprotective, especially because he knows Diana is prideful and won't interfere unless it's serious or potentially fatal. He's also independent, having been alone quite a few times without issue.

Diana was a part of a warrior society that believed in protecting their own in a fight. She'll respect his desire to fight his opponents on his own but hates when it's against enemies that shouldn't be dealt with alone.

First Meeting?

"Yeah, I know where the bar is," Felix sighs into the phone. He quickly shoves his textbook in his backpack and rushes out of the lecture hall. His business course ran longer than he had hoped for because a few of his classmates couldn't grasp the concept of prepaid-variable forwards. Even his courses in the culinary department didn't have so many people confused by the end a lecture.

"Okay, we're just waiting for you and Y/n. She got held up campus so she might be even later. I would ask you to swing by the art building and pick her up but she might be a little too long." Hyunjin slurs. He's already been at the bar for a few hours and drank a few drinks.

"I'll be there in like 15 minutes then. Slow down, okay Hyunjin, I don't feel like dragging your drunk ass back to your apartment again."

"Aye, aye, captain! See you in a few," He hums be for hanging up the phone.

The crisp spring air hits Felix's face as he exits the business school main building. Pinks, oranges, and soft yellows dance across the sky as the sun sets in the distance. It's only 7, but it feels so much earlier to him. Since starting university, he's spent most of his time in classrooms either for the business department or the culinary department. The only free time he has he spends with the dance club, where he met Hyunjin and formally met Minho, who is his senior in both departments he's apart of. How the two of them found time to hang outside of class and club activities is beyond him. But today, they invited him out and he actually has time to join them for once.

He throws his skateboard on the floor and slowly kicks off. The wind in his black hair cooling him down after being stuck in a stuffy lecture hall for a few hours. Unfortunately for Felix, he only had classes in the business department today and they were all scheduled so close together that he hardly had a break to get some fresh air since this morning.

He's halfway off campus when his eyes land on a girl with long black hair slowly picking her stuff off the floor, her backpack laying completely empty next to her. He skates past her quickly. It's not his business, not his problem. Only, he could swear he could hear her sniffling.

"Shit..." He mutters to himself as he picks up his skateboard and walks back to the girl. He knows he would beat himself up all night for not helping her later.

He can hear her sniffling getting louder as he approaches her. Her back is facing him as she picks up the loose papers from the floor. It's mostly a contained mess, she doesn't have many papers and. He can't help but notice her laptop laying on the floor.

"Do you need some help?" He asks, standing over her.

"Not unless you're a computer whiz," She mumbles.

"I kinda know a bit about computers. What happened?" Felix crouches down and grabs her pen case from behind her.

"My backpack ripped at the bottom and everything fell out, now my laptop won't turn on. I have all of my pictures and videos of my parents on there--God, I just know my cousin has something to with this. She always ruins everything of mine." She huffs.

"She sounds like a bitch," Felix laughs.

"She's the devil incarnate, actually. And it's not enough that I have to see her at home, she had to come to my university to torture me." She grumbles to herself. Felix moves in front of her and picks up her laptop, examining it.

"I can't help you with the devil, but i might be able to save your laptop. If not, I can at least try to recover the pictures and videos." Felix says as he lightly shakes the computer to see if anything has been knocked loose.

"Really?" The girl's head swings up, looking at Felix for the first time since he started helping her. His breathe gets caught in his throat at the sight of her. Her puppy dog eyes stare at him hopefully while her full lips twitch trying not to smile. Everything about her is perfect, her blemish free skin, her small pug-like nose--hell, the fact that she was crying only adds to her beauty. Her messy hair frames her face perfectly like a picture that should be hung in a museum. 

"Y-yeah," Felix clears his throat, averting his eyes back to the computer, "like I said, I know a bit about computers. We can head over to the library right now and I can see what I can do."

"Are you sure? It's late and I'm sure you have somewhere else to go."

"Not really. C'mon, let's go before the library gets too crowded. You can buy me a coffee as a thank you." Felix grabs a few of her things and stands up, quickly sends a message to Hyunjin letting him know that he can't head to the bar any more.

"Thank you, I'm Im Bai-Mi by the way." She stands up and grabs the rest of her things from the floor. She shoves her stuff back into her ripped bag and holds it upside down to keep everything inside. she brushes the dirt off of her jeans and wipes her face with her oversized shirt.

"Nice to meet you, Bai. I'm Lee Felix Yongbok."

Real First Meeting

Felix's eyes scan the party, looking for at least one of his friends. He doesn't even know why he goes to these things anymore with them. Every frat party at JYPU is the same. They're at some senior student's shared house, the lights are off, some strange led light is on to give the party a certain weird vibe, and the trashy music is too loud. The music at this party isn’t too trashy this time. The self-proclaimed DJ, which always happens to be a student from the music school who swears they're the next best thing, just plays the top 40s with occasional remixes and sneaks in their original songs. Felix and his friends always go together, but as soon as they cross the threshold into the party, they go their separate ways. 

Those who are in a relationship take their significant other and find a corner to sit at for the rest of the night. Hyunjin and Minho almost always go and find someone to hook up with and pretend like they never met them the following day. Felix, without fail, will look for the nearest bottle of alcohol and proceed to get as fucked up as he possibly can before one of the more responsible members, normally Minho, finds him and drags him home. If he's lucky, he'll find someone and hook up with them in one of the vacant rooms before then.

Tonight is different. As much as he wants to get shitfaced and find someone who is willing to make some bad decisions, he much rather be back in his dorm, wallowing in self pity and reminding himself of all the reasons he deserves to just disappear. He was doing just that when Minho, Hyunjin, and a few other people from the dance club forced their way into his dorm to make him go out. 

He can't just leave the party without telling as least one of his friends; they'll all start panicking and start a search party for him. And even if he sent them a text, he knows they're too stupid while drunk to even think to check their phones. With his luck, all of his friends are probably too busy getting lucky and he'd be waiting a few hours before he found any of them. He considers calling the police and reporting the party for underage drinking and get it shut down so he can go home. 

Scanning the crowd proves to be dangerous as he meets the eyes of several girls he's no doubt slept with over the years. Felix's reputation at the university is nothing short of promiscuous. In his 3 years attending JYPU, he's managed to enter player status with the amount of people he's rejected and his ability to always hook up with at least one person at parties and then being cold to them. It's only natural that some of his past flings are scorned. He's only painfully aware of how many people he's slept with now that he's mostly sober.

He gives up trying to find his friends and retreats to the roof which is a less crowded than it is downstairs and the backyard. He immediately walks to the ledge and leans over it, taking in the sights of the city as his freshly dyed blond hair blows in the wind. His head whips around at the sound of a vaguely familiar laugh. He meets the eyes of a girl he knows he's seen before but can't quite remember why.

"Do I know you from somewhere?" He asks loudly, at the girl as she walks over to the ledge with him.

"Trust me, you'd remember me." She says smugly, moving her hair off her shoulder and looking at Felix.

"Oh I don't doubt that." Felix laughs, "Which is why I know for a fact that I know you from somewhere. Did we sleep together?" He asks honestly. It wouldn't be the first time he forgot someone he's slept with. At least this girl doesn't have a drink in her hand that she could throw in his face.

"Oh please, you wish," She scoffs, rolling her eyes. She's not entirely wrong. She's wearing the shortest skirt and the most revealing low cut crop top, not leaving much to the imagination. Felix has already thought of several ways he wanted to take them off of her. She catches Felix checking her out and can't help but smirk, triggering a memory in Felix's mind.

"Laptop girl! Your name is like Bambi or something, right?"

"Bai-Mi," She laughs.

"Bai-Mi... wow, it's been like what, 2 years since I pulled a good samaritan and saved your laptop?"

"Yeah, thanks for that by the way." She puts her elbow on the ledge and rest her head in her hand.

"You never did by me that coffee,"

"If I remember correctly, you told me not to because it was way too late for caffeine."

"Hmm, that does sound like something I would say."

"I didn't think college parties would be your thing." She hums.

"Why? Because I fixed your computer?"

"Yeah, you had a geek chic thing going for you from what I remember."

"And now?"

"You look like every douchebag at this party." She snorts.

"Probably fucked my fair share of girls to actually be in that douchebag category."

"You?"

"Oh you don't know? Clearly you haven't heard of fuckable Felix." Felix laughs sadly.

"Please tell me you're not going around calling yourself that."

"Don't have to, everyone else at the university does for me."

Both Felix and Bai fall silent for a moment, the only sounds that could be heard are the hushed whispers of conversation around them and the music from the party.

"Do you want to get out of here? I can properly thank you for my computer and buy you something to eat or something."

"Or something?" Felix questions.

"I'll leave that up to you. C'mon, I'm leaving anyways. The guy I wore this outfit for didn't even bother to show and I'm getting cold and hungry."

"Yeah, sure, why not,"

Same Mistakes

"I gotta go," Bai says slipping on a shirt and getting up from the bed to find her pants.

"No in my shirt you don't. That's my favorite one." Felix chuckles, sliding his boxers back on. He climbs out of the bed and wraps his arms around Bair, nestling his head into the crook of her neck.

"I'll bring it back to you later, Lixie. I was supposed to meet Chris two hours ago but you called and well," She wiggles out of his grip and pulls her pants on.

Felix got comfortable with Bai over the past six months and the idea of her going to meet with someone else doesn't sit well with him. He doesn't want to be in a relationship with her, something they both agreed on once they realized that their one night stands were becoming a regular part of their routines. And then their casual sex blossomed into something more in their short time together, something Felix craved because it made him feel something. He knows that she doesn't feel the same way, she's actively pursuing some other guy while hanging out with him. The only thing he can hope for is spending as much time with Bai as possible and maybe sway her to him.

"You thief. You never bring back any of my shirts. And now you're going to meet up with some guy in it." He scoffs, playing at the hem of the shirt.

"He's not some guy, Lixie," She walks over to his mirror to fix her hair, "He's my boyfriend."

Felix stops breathing for a second. Hundreds of thought filled his head all at once. The most prominent one being that Bai wanted to be in a relationship, just not with him.

"When did that happen?" Felix chokes out.

"Like 2 months ago or something," She finishes fixing her hair and moves on to her make up like nothing happened.

"2 months? But--Why are you here then?"

"Don't worry, he has a girlfriend so he's not completely innocent in this."

"Bai, that doesn't make it better."

"You don't get to judge me. I'm sure you broke up your fair relationships while you were deep in your party phase."

"Not intentionally," He mumbles

"Tomato, tomato, Felix. You don't have to worry about it, we're just friends anyway. We're just having fun."

"Just friends don't did what we just did, Bai. And we should stop if you're actually dating some."

"Really? You ready to just full stop our little hangouts just like that?"

Felix stays quiet, staring at the floor. He knows he should, that he doesn't want to be the type of person to knowingly ruin a relationship. But at the same time, he wants to be selfish for once in his life.

"That's what I thought," She whispers to herself.

listen: did I watch the new culinary crimes? no but I saw the title and learned angela was part of it. so you can imagine my surprise in what I assume is a episode with an italian food theme and the TWO ITALIAN CAST MEMBERS (that talk a lot about being italian) ARE NOT ON IT TOGETHER!!!

like it was right there. i was honestly not expecting to get the same person again so soon because they still have a lot of cast to rotate from so to have angela again is nice. but it was right there. perfect to have damangela bickering and arguing and agreeing with each other. especially if it's about something that they both are proud of being. I feel like their tastes (when it comes to good italian food and not the weird stuff that garrett did on eoyi) would align really well.

and it would be a really good space for them to be in. more chill and with more space for them to allowed themselves to just have fun and talk to each other without fear of taking the focus out of a game or something. just them and courtney. damn what could have been...

It was a bit of a surprise having Angela on again so soon! love her but it would have been cool seeing some of the other cast on! I feel like Shayne would be fun on an episode! (Shayne and Amanda?? THAT sounds like a GREAT fucking episode)

THATS WHAT I'M SAYINGGG! I can hear them arguing about who loves garlic more (they've literally already done this lmao) and it would be cool to have Damien talk about being Italian! I feel like he only mentions it as a fun fact and leaves it at that :( I feel like having Angela there would make him more comfortable to talk about it!

I really just wish we'll get them on at some point! I feel like a lot of what Smosh is focused on rn is duos, and a lot of those duos have a 'I-make-fun-of-you-because-I-love-you' vibe that Damien & Angela do so well! (pretty much all of the dynamics with Angela are 'bickering/teasing' focused lol) whereas Damien doesn't really have that same dynamic with most of the cast? he's simply too nice and worried about hurting people to tease them too badly.

BUT, with Angela he can full on tease her! it's such a breathe of fresh air! I love seeing him be that comfortable with people!

Maybe I'm a psycho, but I have the most fun watching Smosh when there's a lot of bickering going on! like the don't wins! I LIVE for the competition! do some shit talking! it's fun and warranted!

TotK is so frustrating because there are genuinely several things I would love to incorporate into fics (mostly items, but also some NPCs and a handful of concepts and little areas), but Unfortunately the Plot. if it was just mediocre, that'd be one thing, but it's so disconnected from BOTW and so disjointed from itself that I'm at a loss for how I'd even begin to salvage it without doing something else that barely resembles it. at that point I might as well come up with my own plot, you know?

what I'm gonna end up doing is just... taking all those little scraps and working them into various AUs. like the Adventure Time one, for instance. that one's the most ripe, I think, for a lot of this.

hmm. gonna make a list, I think, under a cut.

first of all, let's not lie to ourselves: 'secret passageway under the castle that contains long-concealed/sealed Horrors' is a banger of a concept. unfortunately. unfortunately this was not executed as well as it could've been. I would love to do something neat with this sometime. I think it would fit especially well in the AT AU as stated. perhaps even with a take on those nuclear warnings.

Penn was a genuinely entertaining new NPC and I enjoyed the Lucky Clover Gazette chain of sidequests for the most part. like, could've done without the stuff setting up Zelda as being omni-talented and so super special (it really flattens her character, you know? such amateurish writing), but the concept of investigating rumors for a newspaper was fun. also the All-Clucking Cucco one was hilarious.

the Stable Trotters were so charming! I really liked this sidequest chain too.

the Stormwind Ark was actually kinda cool too, gave me Skies of Arcadia vibes. I wonder if I could do anything with it...

I want to stress, before I go any further, that if you've read or are planning to read my fic Song of a Champion... Yunobo using the Boulder Breaker and Riju using scimitars are things I had planned before the trailer revealing this was a thing in TotK. it is yet another entertaining instance of me predicting/guessing things correctly. xD

if I ever do anything with a version of the Depths, they're gonna have more, well, depth. they should've had settlements, or at least the ruins of them, or... something, you know? love the concept, meh on the execution. :/

same with the sky islands. and the explanation for the Great Sky Island in that one sidequest there was... really not satisfying, sadly. deffo something I could toy with and improve on.

Hyrulean pizza. 'nuff said. I applaud wholeheartedly the decision to give us cheese and tomatoes and let us make one of the greatest culinary creations known to mankind.

I'm iffy on the mushroom fashion/additions to Hateno, but I like the idea of Cece opening a shop in Hateno and selling some of those new outfits I like. I especially liked the sets based on the three dragons, this would be a neat way to get them on Link in that SoaC follow-up I wanna do. especially because Mipha NEEDS to see him in the slutty ones

if I ever do a version of the episode Wizards Only, Fools for the AT AU, the Depths outfit would make a neat disguise to get Link in.

obviously I plan to have AT Link lose his arm. obviously.

the wells and caves were pretty fun. though I do wish there'd been something genuinely creepy at the bottom of at least one well...

the Desert Rift is something that I would love to put into the desert area in the AT AU, it has tons of potential. I definitely have Ideas.

I really want to have Mipha and Link go to the salt spa in Lurelin as a couples' thing. it's a small thing, but I think it'd be cute.

I do actually enjoy weapon fusion and I think those magic rods/staves in particular would be a neat addition to some AUs.

almost every enemy was a great addition to the roster (I say almost because THOSE ARE NOT PROPER GIBDOS I AM STILL MAD ABOUT THIS). hopefully the next game will have even more things to fight (I especially want ReDeads and ACTUAL Poes back).

speaking of Poes, I just. sigh. so many interesting things that could've been done there, that just... weren't. at bare minimum, if they were adamant about making them a form of currency, it would've been more fun to bring back the Poe Collector than have those statues. I want to work him into the AT AU (and I have ideas that kinda meld how Poes worked in past games with this one, I just need to sit and nail them down).

back on foodstuffs, I liked all the new ingredients. I already worked golden apples into Under a Strange Moon, and I'd love to find uses for the elemental fruits somewhere too. stambulbs and sundelions are neat too, as are the new pumpkin, the oil, and the mushroom and fish that make you glow.

on the less edible side, puffshrooms and especially muddle buds were a LOT of fun to play with.

on the "dubiously edible" side (because you can turn these into elixirs but not straight up FOOD), I really like the design of the deep fireflies. the sticky frogs and lizards were also really handy!

brightbloom seeds/flowers could be neat to use too...

that's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure I'm forgetting something

ahhhhh okay so this is ... THE COFFEESHOP AU, the one inspired by the art by @levionok where hob is a barista and dream's a pastry chef, and in the same universe as tomorrow is a place we are together and this post

and... that is actually the only line i have written? oops... BUT i do have a lot of backstory that i've rambled to @ghostboyjules about on discord so i will paste that here!

i actually drew a tiny bit of art for it and it's tentatively called "when coffee dreams it dreams of chocolate"

so i was thinking about pastry chef/chocolatier morpheus in the coffeeshop au and that he probably got into Food and Cooking because it's like... random ingredients coming together to make something beautiful and he sees it as his creative outlet but he's awful at expressing himself still... so he's like, oh, okay, ingredients make Sense and are Precise and have Defined Results Every Time... and he's like a kinda creative type who reads a lot and pines after people from afar and his whole life everyone's just been like, "so that bloke morpheus is kinda weird or what???"

but then he gets to culinary school and people are like "oh. he has VISION" so he hides behind that a bit

and he sorta ages into somebody who can make it Look Cool but at his core he's still. just. just awkward as hell. blasting his goth and new wave music in his kitchen... expressing his feelings through pretty chocolates.... lurking through the bookstore. going to goth clubs just to Feel the Music

but in pastry school he can make beautiful things with ingredients and pour his love into them and all of a sudden people are like "oh, the 'hmm' is Vision and Genius" and it's easier to let them believe that than to be like "no, the 'hmm' is just me"

then hob meets him and is like "oh, he's a lil 'hmm' and i LIKE IT"

in this AU calliope became an event planner or something, or maybe even like an Actual Chef. they initially met in culinary school and were like oh, haha, your parents liked mythology too, huh?... and they were together and in love and married and had a restaurant together—some kind of bistro or something—but then they had like, clashing Visions and a huge falling out that made waves in the culinary world and kind of gave morpheus a name for being haughty and proud

so now nobody wants to work in partnership with him but they grudgingly respect him because his artistry is amazing. and calliope and morpheus actually do have a son, but calliope has sole custody

hence the anonymity, not giving hob his name at the coffeeshop, because morpheus moved and started over and now he runs his own bakery. but it just opened recently and he doesn't want scandal to follow him. he just wants to bide his time and remake his own legacy

i imagine that it's like, the kind of thing that is high-profile if you're in the industry but if you just own a random little coffeeshop you wouldn't know him type of deal

his bakery is a lil artsy place with murals on the walls that he also painted and he plays goth and new wave playlists over the loudspeakers and all the staff get to dress as counterculture as they want. he's a little insane, basically. and @valeriianz - sweet dream from the neighbors AU is TOTALLY a vibe... i imagine this place being a bit like that?

i imagine he also does stuff like encourage local artists to do street art on the walls outside, so at random hours of night there's just folks with spray paint and paint buckets and ladders, vibing and eating lil baked goods and "love my way" is blasting out the front doors and morpheus is sitting on the stoop just hanging

that's probably his shop opening party. he plans on it just being one night for opening but all the artists are so happy to do it and they ask him to consider making it a regular thing and he's like "...i will consider it" and then it becomes a once a month thing. (perhaps this is how hob finally sees him in his element - he invites hob to come to one of the paint nights and hob brings a ton of delicious coffee for everyone without being asked and totally falls (even more) in love. everyone raves about the coffee and asks hob to come the next month and morpheus is like "oh no... this is a Thing now..."

in the future, after they're together, hob can serve coffee at these art nights regularly and morpheus can know the healing feeling of having someone still want him and want to share things with him and collaborate with him even after truly knowing him

so before they know it hob is in the inner sanctum - up in the middle of the night while dream makes melted chocolate for dipped strawberries at the bakery, and hob sits on the counter reading him walt whitman

"you know, just because i make excellent coffee doesn't mean you don't need to sleep, love."

"i am in the midst of creation, hob."

"your sister won't like it if i let you keel over from exhaustion."

"my sister is not here."

"mmhmm, and i am."

(cue morpheus standing between hob's knees where hob sits on the edge of the counter. taking the book out of hob's hands with the hand not covered in melted chocolate so the book is safe from harm. hob taking hold of his other hand and carefully licking the chocolate from morpheus' fingertips

and in the end they do end up in bed, so hob counts it as a victory)

OKAY now that i've got my thoughts out. time to get my even messier thoughts out.

riddle is absolutely one of my favorite characters. favorite housewarden for sure. and so, so repressed. every time i look at riddle rosehearts i think "I need to ruin him" . i believe that he is very well-loved by his card soldiers even in spite of the fear that he projects. something i made up in my head is a thing between riddle/trey/cater/che'nya. there are not labels and there are preferences but the preferences bounce around all the time so are there really? making sense? what fun is there in making sense? it's heartslabyul!

but i think that riddle is perfect for kink situations. when you consider his tight-woundedness combined with his admittedly strong personality, you get a short-fused queen of a boy who has never had any grasp at intimacy!

i think he should be stuffed. i think that he should get to enjoy all the lavish treats and culinary treasures he was denied as a child. i love the concept of someone who has never gotten to taste certain foods, be it from poverty or other restrictions, coming into a new environment and being given the opportunity to have what they never thought was possible. i don't think i'm far off, considering riddle's OB flashback.

i think he should get to eat whatever treats he wants, as many of them as he wants, without restriction or fear of punishment. i like the idea of him with a cute stuffed tummy, bulging at the seams of his blouse and peeking red at the skin from just how PACKED it all is.

he would be a mess, denying any sort of pleasure and insisting he detests any kind of behavior so uncouth and unbecoming, but i just know he would love the feeling of his gut gurgling while weighed down with the remains of whatever he ate, protruding so hard that he has to unbutton a little just to relieve some of that pressure, and the relief of that pressure would be the end of him. he would melt for it, and he would be embarrassed and ashamed the whole time. riddle would LOVE being stuffed (however secretly that might be), but the point remains that i think he should be well doted upon by his most loyal soldiers.

leona is really really hot. and an imperious and mean royal glutton. and a lion. i GOTTA admit it here he's so hot actually and i really like him. as a character he interests me so much. i wanna know more about what his reputation and family dynamic is actually like, i want to know more about his actual royal desires, stuff like he mentioned in tamashina-mina, about installing more infrastructure and how farena was too sensitive upholding the circle of life (iirc). Oh yeah i also want him to eat me. really badly. being just a scrap of fat to his majesty, while he makes SURE that i know it? and how no matter the brutality or the thrill he'd put forward before finally gobbling me up, he'd probably end up just falling asleep? NEED. and it would be really hot if he bottomed while stuffed

ruggie is attractive to me in a similar way that leona is, both in the sort of natural-therian pred way. i don't like full-feral preds, but characters like the beastmen in twst are honestly kink heaven. i love the thought of a vicious predator who looks like and IS a cute boy. ruggie himself is someone so endearing to me too, seeing how he spent his entire life around poverty and never really got to see better until NRC. his general scheming nature always telling you he'll do anything to fend for yourself but for a bad guy he's really not much of a BAD guy, and i like seeing him constantly resorting to underhanded methods. the rugster can take care of himself and he has every reason to flaunt the skills. in general his appetite reminds me of that whole college-transition phase, the wonderful change of environment where foods that were dreams are finallly here? but not just that, he finally gets to eat well? someone should stuff him immediately. and burping is really really hot with him, actually. someone should stuff him to the brim bones and all and he should burp right in their face i believe .also his love for donuts is just <3 such a simple food and so realistic for someone of his background (as realistic as it can be anyway) and he is just so...? i love the idea of hugging someone shorter than me who might slurp me down in seconds if he could get a single limb in his mouth.

(i headcanon that beastmen have more distinct noses than we get shown ingame!)

azul is attractive to me in an entirely different way than either one of his henchmen. the countenance he carries, the put-together charismatic businessman who's always there to lend a hand because he just can't STAND to see you suffer? like even if you know he's lying if the delivery is good it gets you crawling. like, yes, please lie to me and seduce me and buy me out of my house and my car because of how kind you are <3 he is just such a perfect amount of hedonism. i would love to be swallowed whole by this octopus. swallowed whole and digested while i get crammed against the walls of his gut and he mocks me the whole time with fine print that was too fine to notice..

i also enjoy the idea of azul KNOWING that someone has affections for him. it would give him a reason to be just that much worse, teasing them however they may like, in ways he may want to strangle himself for considering but will do just to get a squeak out of his victim? Yes.

The Flora of AC Valhalla: Food plants in Avaldsnes and Stavanger

I want to talk about the edible plants we see early on in ACV in Norway, because they're such an integral part of human existence! However...

Crops/economic botany is not my area of expertise

Neither is Norwegian food history

As a very part-time interloper and not an Actual Norwegian, I do not want to end up in an argument about grøt

The secret to a long and happy life is... Don't argue with; your Yorkshire relations about parkin, French friends & fam about butter, or Norwegian folks about grøt (which is porridge, but more so.) Trust me on this. But since we often forget to notice the plant materials that feed/clothe/shelter us every day, I'm gonna wade in anyway and link to more expert folks on porridge (bc I know my limits, lol.)

One other fun thing to note is that there's a reconstructed viking-era farm at present-day Avaldsnes, on the island of Bukkøy (which is also represented in-game as a small wooded island full of deer, just off Avaldsnes.) So if by chance you ever found yourself in the area in summer when it's open, you could find out a lot more on what the settlement and its crops might have looked like IRL.

Cultivated plants in Avaldsnes

We see crop plants as soon as we sneak into Avaldsnes. The first thing I noticed is a field of oats, and nearby is a cart with bundles of oats and another grain - probably barley or rye rather than wheat in this time period. This is where discussion of grøt & other skjemat (literally "spoon-food") would come in if I was feeling brave or foolish... Instead let me point to this lovely piece on the history of porridge as a staple in Norway, which includes links to recipes. Also here's an explainer of skjemat. One way or another I'm betting Eivor ate a lot of porridge, savory and sweet, because it's good stuff.

I also saw some fields out in the distance, past the oats and outside the restricted area...

And when I got there one was full of conifer saplings, and the other with dried flower or seed heads I can't identify. Most histories (in English at least) associate Norse settlers with deforestation. But there's evidence of them coppicing in England and growing orchards in France. So arboriculture in ACV's world doesn't seem too wild an idea.

I've no idea what the dried seeds/flowers are, and AFAIK there are few if any written herbals from the era. There are many plants listed in the present day region which have seed heads you could dry, but I recall some Danish research looking at archeological evidence of medicinal herbs used in medieval settlements? I might pick that up with the herbarium folks and see if they know anything - there is at least one person there that has studied old herbal texts and how they were compiled. I'm curious to know what plants Eivor would have known about/used!

Food plants and herbs in dwellings

In both Avaldsnes and Stavanger, we see food in and outside of the homes. Vegetables include cabbage, onion, and carrots - I like that the carrots are white, which they apparently were at this point in history. Cabbage and related vegetables can grow in quite cold winters (I wonder if the Raven clan would've had the same fkn whitefly problems we get on them, lol!) There's also bread... Some cheese on the shelf to go with I think? Nice.

I'm not sure what the herbs hanging up are, some look dry and others fresh. No doubt Norse travellers would have brought tasty culinary herbs from their travels, and maybe cultivated them as well as native medicinal/edible species. Seeing fruit & veg food outside in the snow reminds me of hanging milk and fresh food in a bag outside my room on a window ledge when the temperature allowed - so that it didn't get pinched from a shared fridge!

From a sync point in Stavanger you look can out over the town and see fields of oats here too. Having been to Stavanger, it was cool to imagine the port, new and old town in the distant past. The weirdest thing for me was seeing the coastline very simplified. It's a bit like how some of the counties in England where I've lived (and live now) look oddly glued together in game. Not complaining tho. Obviously there's only so much detail you need/is practical to include in a game! It just bends my brain a little.

But I did enjoy one joke that is included in the map; a small island for you to practice raiding called 'Ikke en Oy'. The words "ikke en øy" literally mean "not an island" in Norwegian, so I'm guessing that was an amusing way of saying "yeah, we made this lil bit of land up!"

Black Raisin stuff from ?my own personal canon? Ok so basically most of these have been sitting in my drafts for. Since the beginning of the year. Might as well post em cause I should actually talk about my ideas sometimes

Readmore cause long post

-Her beloved crow’s name is Oatmeal. He has one leg and she rehabilitated him. She magically is physically connected to him therefore he lives as long as she does. (Explained further below)

-She cannot actually see out of her left eye- the one that glows. It’s connected to Oatmeal’s vision so she can see through him. It’s the results of a magic-spell-gone-haywire (it was done in a desperate hurry and PV was probably quite rusty w/ his powers). It was done by Pure Vanilla Healer in an attempt to heal the injuries and save her eye. It didn’t really work as planned but now she has cool crow vision and can see better in the dark. She can’t control Oatmeal, just see through his pov but I mean. He listens to her so it works. Usually.

-Her arm was injured in the same battle where she lost her eye. It was later amputated because the infection of the wounds almost killed her. Despite everyone begging her to, she could not and would never allow herself to rest because she was the sole protector of the village.

-After her father died, she, alone, took on his role as the village protector. Her parents were Blackcurrant (father) and Pinot Noir (mother, who died in the war when Raisin was a baby). (There’s more to add here but idk how to articulate my thoughts on her parents yet). She had a hard time feeling like she could live up to him because she held him on such a high pedestal, so she pretty much worked herself and threw herself into battle until she was almost dead on many occasions.

-Black Raisin comes across as very distant and cold but she is genuinely an extremely caring, social, tactful (and very anxious) person when you aren’t a stranger. It’s hard for her to express that, because she’s had to have a tough unbreakable demeanor for most of her life. Once everyone moves into the Vanilla Kingdom and she can begin to put her guard down, this begins to show more and more. She cares and loves so strongly.

-Sometimes, she physically feels unable to rest or sleep on her own because she’s always had to stay on high alert. If she’s awake, she used to use this time to patrol the kingdom all night. As time went on and she felt safer in the Kingdom, she began to spend this time with other people instead. (Pure Vanilla and Espresso both sleep surprisingly little. And of course Red Velvet when he’s around eventually, his ass can’t sleep either. Strawberry Crepe gets forced to go to bed lol).

-She’s so proud of the Crows Nest Inn lol she loves that thing she spends like 70% of her time there just shooting the shit with people.

Also I think she gets into culinary stuff due to starting up the Inn. :] she enjoys cooking for people.

-oh yeah and she can understand crow language very well. Not in a literal “I can speak crow,” way she’s just worked with them and they’ve kept her safe basically her whole life and she perfectly understands their mannerisms. Also fun fact: crows have the intelligence equivalent to 7 year old humans and can mimic human speech (+ understand what the words mean). And she has an army of them that she brings literally everywhere. You cannot have Black Raisin without at LEAST 10 accompanying crows (and 40 more outside. Usually not her fault they just follow her everywhere and she’s definitely not gonna shoo them away).

-Her favorite weather is a cool cloudy day or partly sunny with a cool breeze. She doesn’t like the rain all that much, and she also doesn’t particularly like when it’s super hot. Her favorite season is Spring (particularly mid-late spring when everything is blooming but it’s not too hot).

(I’ll probably come back n add more I’m losing steam) I just love her so much and she always occupies my thoughts. Black Raisin my everything
