Had a rare blissful day enjoying the blazing colours of Autumn in my home town and actually allowing myself a bit of retail therapy which I never do. Screw consumerism and all that but I tell you, it is soooo nice to treat yourself, especially after a prolonged sh*tty time with lots of angst and no money. 

Also I now have an addiction to plants and beautiful plant pots, I think I’m actually unnerving shop assistants but whatever, it’s innocent enough :D

Outside houston: humid, hot, sunny. Perfect temperature for tropical plants

My bird of paradise( that's been an outside plant and has had one whole leaf for 8million years) and my monstera: inside with no sunlight and a cheap Amazon lamp that has questionable proper light amount is better :) >creates new leaves<

Me at what was supposed to be a temporary thing: >visible confusion<

The smallest one of my pitcher plants with the same type of lamp: > spontaneously makes two baby plants< look at my children mother :))

Me: but you are in a tiny ass pot wth

My outside wonky looking cactus that's survived 3 big freezes: mother look I am creating NORMAL round shaped leaves instead of sharpie shaped ones :)

Its repotted leaves when I trimmed it last: us too grandmother :)))))

Me: 😐 your position on the patio has not changed much, why are you now acting like you get enough light to not make etiolated leaves

i want everyone to see my lavender plant and to bask in its glory!

It’s so pretty and I’m so proud of it! Sadly, its sibling didn’t make it, but this plant shall live on in its memory! It took months for it to get this big and, at first, i was worried that it wasn’t growing right, because there weren’t any purple buds, but turns out it just takes awhile to grow the purple buds!

While cleaning the ratcage I lingered in my garden a little to see my plants growing new buds and to see my tiny tree almost bursting to bloom. Top left: Lilac Tree - planted last year so I am very happy to see new buds!

Top right and bottom left: Honeysuckles of which one is an older plant (the bottom) and indestructible and the top one was also planted last year, so again I am very happy to see it come back!

Bottom right: Pieris Japonica. There are many many different kinds of this plant and I don't know the exact variation which grows in my garden. It was already there when I moved in six years ago ^^
