Okay, the absolute trust Kiryu has in Majima though
Like the truck. He didn’t even flinch. In his mind, there was simply no reality in which Majima ran him over, accidentally or otherwise
We see these moments where that trust is called into question, sometimes rightfully so, and every single time, despite what either of them say, Kiryu trusts Majima implicitly and without question
Asking Majima to watch out for Daigo. Pushing back against Date’s suspicions. Not believing a single picture holds the whole story and going by himself to confront Majima on the man’s own turf. Expecting him to tell him the truth. Entrusting the Kazama family to him. Telling Date to tell Majima everything if he doesn’t make it back. The list goes on and on. And each time, Majima does as he’s asked. The fighting doesn’t matter. That’s just for fun, and Kiryu knows it. All the talk about staying alive because only Majima can kill him, and Kiryu agreeing every time. They both know what that means, and they show it time and time again. Each time Kiryu places his trust in Majima. Each time Majima makes a promise and keeps it. Each time Majima risks everything to save Kiryu’s life
But Majima riding to Kiryu’s rescue, fucking terrified he’d accidentally killed him, and Kiryu not even concerned or even really all that surprised? Of course Majima came barreling into the Diet Building courtyard in a pink fucking dump truck and ran over a bunch of government security guards. Putting it sideways and stopping right in front of Kiryu? Clearly all part of nii-san’s plan! He didn’t think to move or to run or to even be afraid. He just trusted him, just like he always does. That’s the kinda shit I live for in media y’all

thinking about how easily ray was willing to make an exception to his firm ‘i can only save emma and norman’ stance once don and gilda are actually in on the escape. the fact that, during his ‘deal’ with norman in ep 5‘we can bring don and gilda too’ isnt a condition norman had that ray begrudgingly agreed to but rather one that ray brought up completely unprompted.
ray has spent years coming to terms with the fact that saving everyone is impossible, years putting emma and norman over everyone else because they were the most precious people in his life and because risking a bigger escape could get everyone killed. he thought it was better for the others to live ignorant, happy lives until their shipment than to get killed on the outside.
ray never had that same ignorant bliss the others had, emma and norman lost it after seeing conny, and while don and gilda aren’t given the full truth at first, they are given enough to have that illusion shattered for them as well. i just think a lot about how ray knows what it’s like to be trapped in that house without that happy illusion, and the moment don and gilda lose it, he can’t allow himself to push them away anymore.

This is like legit kind of stressing me out. I own all these games, bought them nearly 10 years ago. How are they all worth $100+ each?!?!?
Also yes I know the p2 innocent sin is with the cd soundtrack. That is the version that I have. I still have the cd in a box in my living room 😭
They all still have their booklets, too... if I decided to sell them, I could get a pretty penny for them...

Not Reverse Robins or Scrambled Birds but a secret third thing: A Step to the Left.
Not Dick > Jason > Tim > Steph > Damian,
but Jason > Tim > Steph > Damian > Dick*.
But not only them. Every sidekick with a legacy name gets shifted one spot. (No I’m not counting the Golden Age because I’m not combing through that ).
This means that Jason’s Titans team is him, Mia (Speedy), Jackson (Aqualad), Cassie (Wonder Girl), and Bart (Impulse but y’know he was KF II in the comics).
The NTT team including Starfire, Changeling, Raven, and Cyborg stays the same since they’re the only ones with those names. Cass gets lumped in here because Jason actually wants to do college/is becoming disillusioned about cape life and the idea of Kori learning Cass's body language is too good to pass up.
Tim gets one (1) cape friend (because Jason only got one) and it’s Zachary Zatara because it has to be a d-lister who deals with that disaster Teen Titans era.
Stephanie gets Jon (Superboy), Yara (Wonder Girl II now), and Irey (Because guess what it’s Impulse on the team and not KF which means we get Impulse II). Secret, Cissie, Anita, Slobo etc. all stay the same.
Damian doesn’t get anyone until he becomes Batgirl.
Duke literally gets Damian’s exact canon team but it’s Kon instead of Jon and probably won’t end with them committing war crimes.
If the character in that placement dies in canon then the new character in that placement also dies (i.e. Jason dies so Tim will die/ Kon dies so Jon will die).
But there will be changes because these are different characters so not all of them would react the same.
For example, Jason and Cass are the first Robin and Batgirl, but Cass becomes Nightwing while Jason becomes Oracle because I feel like Jason generally fits Barbara’s character better than Cass does (which is a fucking shame because Oracle being someone named Cassandra should be a no brainer but yeah).
Or how Barbara should be Batgirl number three, but it’s actually Damian because Cass would see their similarities between them and offer him Batgirl (which he refuses at first but after his disastrous run as Robin he sees how Batgirl would fit his strengths better).
Also I refuse to believe that Jason and Cass would let Dick out as Robin so young so he’s benched until later and his place is taken up by Duke and instead of Leviathan it’s Gnomon.

Wendy and Abby fuck me up so bad just like in general but what keeps coming back to haunt me is wondering how long they had to go through it all just them two. How many times did Wendy die, how many times did Abby watch the light fading from the eyes of her twin. How many times was it slow, how many times was it in a split moment, how many times were they together when it happened, how many times did Wendy die completely alone. It's just like god damn no wonder Wendy talks Like That not only did Abby die but poor kid has been forced to become accustomed with death in a much more direct way than even adults are built to handle

Something I've noticed from subbing to just a couple of very small patreons (like fewer than 50 members) is how SHY people are about talking to the creator that they are paying! What's up with that? I wonder if it's because most of these patrons come via tumblr, where there is the culture of talking in the tags/reblogs and comments being your "outdoor voice"/basically it being RUDE to talk to people.
I think that's fucked up, especially in the context of artists (just to be clear every time I say artists that is inclusive of writers). Like these are people that are making a thing and showing it to you, they don't just want silent nods of approval by way of reblogs/likes. They want FEEDBACK. They want CONNECTION. I think a fundamental part of creating and sharing art is the goal of connection. And I don't think people realize how truly disheartening it is to post something and then get completely silent likes/reblogs.
For the love of God they are TALKING TO YOU. TALK BACK!!!!
