I don’t know if I’m just imagining things but I feel like Olli and Aleksi are actually so close 🥺 for example I feel like they post so many pics together and I know they post with others too and it’s not a big deal but e.g. Olli has posted 5 pics with someone else this year and 3 of them are with Aleksi.. so it must mean something right?? 🥺 and I feel like they spend a lot of time together yk even ”outside the band” when they’re having a day off and they still do music (the remix) etc. together 😭

I guess I kind of have a dumb question, where do you find the images you use for your edits? Did you say Getty in your tags?? I’ve gotten into making icons recently (and i have ideas for poetry edits hrrrghhh) but it’s hard to find high res images. Thanks for your time and I hope you have a nice day :)

first of all thank you so much 🥹 and second that’s absolutely not a dumb question!! i do pull a lot of images from getty and i’ll also download pictures from sports articles (i got a lot of the hugheses pictures from online access articles, for example), or sometimes from instagram/facebook/twitter if an account is public. freely admitting that i am not technologically advanced? inclined? in the slightest here, but the image editing software that you use and how you import/export photos with it makes a difference in the quality of them as well!

if you haven’t seen them yet, i would also recommend checking out @simmyfrobby @national-hockey-lesbian @hauntedppgpaints @tapedsleeves @starscelly and @captainbradmarchand’s blogs just off the top of my head!!! they might know more places to get high res images and also i love their work 💕🫶

Saturday Six (Stuff)

It seems weird but I've been doing yoga for 2.5 years now. I never thought I'd be a yoga person. But here we are. I was lucky to find a place, and a person who isn't a stereotypical "yoga snob" and it's been great. I definitely recommend trying it for relaxation, if you can find a place, or YouTube has some great videos, I've heard.೭੧(❛〜❛✿)੭೨

On the same vein, we've lived here (in this state of the USA) for almost 10 years now. Damn. What a long, strange trip it's been. (Thanks Grateful Dead)٩(⌯꒦ິ̆ᵔ꒦ິ)۶ᵒᵐᵍᵎᵎᵎ

After seeing a "news" thing about how often you should be changing the sheets on your bed (every week!!!) I have to admit, that even though doing that task really kills me (oof my back), and my kitten thinks she absolutely HAS TO "help", I do really like nice clean sheets every week lol...꒰♡ˊ͈ ु꒳ ूˋ͈꒱.⑅*♡

The sun is coming out!!! Yeah, I do love the sunshiney days, buuuut, I still love me them rainy days. I do wish it was warmer already though.ʚ♡⃛ɞ(ू•ᴗ•ू❁)

I put up flyers in a few places in town, and some in the little town north of the parent's. Here's hoping it does some good. I don't know if people actually look at bulliten boards anymore, or not.(⑅ ‘﹃’ )

I am resisting the urge to play songs and compare them to make my decision because I need to log off and go do other things for a bit lol. Here I go from nostalgia and just binging their albums these last few days because ✨what a week✨ it's been for millennial *NSYNC fans.

This I Promise You: More than a few of my favorite songs are songs that rely heavily on JC's vocals, and this one is top of the list. Gosh, I love this song. I love it even more in Spanish (Yo Te Voy Amar). *NSYNC sang it on stage at the Latin Grammys in 2001, and JC.... yeah. 🔥 Damn good. (Don’t get me started on my soap box about JC’s failed solo career).

No Strings Attached: the title track from my favorite *NSYNC album. It's one of the few *NSYNC songs on my cardio playlist, that's how much of a pop song it is. Lol. The upbeat tempo never ends!

God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You: this was the song that made me an *NSYNC fan. They were on the Disney Channel doing a concert special, and 1998 Sonia was a goner after they sang this song.

I Thought She Knew: the guys were at their best and most magical when they sang a cappella, and this one is my favorite. I go back to it a lot. The yearning. Incredible.

Thinking of You (I Drive Myself Crazy): the music video has not aged well lol. Yet, this is one of the rare *NSYNC songs that all the guys get a chance to shine (Chris gets a solo! And you can distinctly hear each of them on it in some way). Also, JC owns the bridge of this song. 👏🏽

do have any tips on how to get your writing style? please don't feel pressured to answer but i'd appreciate any feedback if you had any especially since you write so well and seem as if you have lots of experience. <33

hmm, you know, this question is so hard to answer !! because i think in order to find your own writing style, you have to read a lot, expose yourself to different styles, and then trial-and-error until you find the one that resonates with the tone you're comfortable using.

i remember when i first wanted to get serious about writing and i sat down to start a science fiction story i've had living in my brain for years and i wrote like 3k in one sitting and i really felt good about it, but sci fi is so hard to write, y'know, so that's when i branched off into fantasy and blah, blah, blah. i eventually joined a writing group to keep me more accountable and i felt really good about the way i wrote my first chapter and i submitted it for a review and — got torn a new one LOL

i didn't know what i was doing so it's not like it was totally unfounded, but from that moment on, i would spend the next few years altering the way that i naturally wrote in order to fit into a shape of what my peers were defining as "acceptable", following "basic writing rules", trying to be a "good writer".

i eventually hit a breaking point where i was so unhappy with everything i was producing that i decided to quit — for a little while. flash forward, hmm, nearly a year, and i got into fanfiction again and i stumbled across some really, really good fics. the kind that touched me emotionally, stayed with me long after i closed the tab. and the important part about this is that these fics had many of the aspects i had been taught were "wrong"; adverbs, run-on sentences, incomplete sentences, not giving answers right away, etc. and i really can't tell you how unbelievable it was to me, to enjoy something that i had thought to be basically criminal.

this is so dramatic LOL but i bring this up bc so much time has come and gone since then, but i recently went back to my first lil sci-fi story i started ages ago and — it's not so different from the writing style i've developed now. and i can't believe i went around in a circle ! all of that just to realize my voice was the right one all along ! i've done a lot of growth since then so i've evolved but it's still me, at the core. and it took realizing that i don't have to sound a certain way in order to tell meaningful stories. i just have to sound like me.

i'm very comfortable with the way i write now; it's second nature to me, just as it always has been, and it should be that way for you, too, i think. when you think about what happens next in your story, the voice speaking should be your own, one you're comfortable with, not one you have to force. look into different writing styles to see which vibes best with you, write the same tale with those different styles in mind and see which one tells your story the best.

#this probably was not helpful LOL but trial and error is what helped me 💕#falling into a great depression and giving up my loved hobby too but — i dont want you to do that LOL #tldr: try different writing styles to see which helps the words flow but DONT try to force them into something else #it might not feel like your own at first but you will come out of it no doubt #i dont think any one style is truly able to be replicated honestly #so your personality will show through the more comfortable with your voice you become #✿ ask willow

Basil having to mitigate his wallet to Dawson, or, hell even Elizabeth when out shopping with Quinnella because this girl has no filter and will fawn over anything adorable or shiny, especially cute gowns / ribbons / shoes / accessories etc…

The absolute split second Basil hears her adorable little squeal of “Ohh Basil!!” a switch turns off and his wallet is immediately out. He’s buying it for her. He can’t help himself.

Quinnella never even outright mentions she wants things specifically, and will rarely ever actually beg him to purchase anything - she doesn’t think she’s worth it, and / or a simple stern ‘no’ would subdue her easily enough (thanks Rati…) but Basil knows her tastes and her style, her ✨aesthetic✨, she just has to glance at it tenderly, smile at it with affection, or absolutely fawn over it and Basil’s immediately putting it in a bag to take home.

Still, it’s very bad for Basil. Very very bad… Quinnella just does not understand the concept of money, can’t count it out properly or remember all the frickin math involved to save her life; such as dealing with the possible bankruptcy cuz your bf is an absolute simp and pampering you with new items for your ever growing wardrobe left and right!!

Nights of grief spoken with Dawson over the hearth later on in the study, head in his paws, like ‘omg I bought so much…’ she’s off in his room right now trying them all on.

‘You can’t keep doing this, it’s going to be something she expects,’ learned behavior and all that, though Dawson knows she’s far too kind to actually manipulate that.

‘I know, I know!! I can’t help it!! She’s just so… ugh, infuriating!’ Though he’s already visibly melting, a goofy grin on his face as he swoons. ‘Her little smile, the way her eyes light up…’ she has this cute little skip she does, bouncing on her tiptoes all giddy and adorable and…

‘-ah… B-Basil?’ Dawson can’t help but chuckle at his friends helplessness.

‘Hmm? Ahh, Blast it all! See?!’

His complaining is put to a halt immediately as she comes in t show off her latest ensemble, twirling and gliding about the room. She’s heavenly… and totally worth every single cent.
