I did a thing...

... a weaving experiment with singles, to see how the different twist changes the fabric. The warp was spun with S- and the weft with Z-twist from the same top. The result is very nice and soft and drapey fabric with all the colour changes :D

I’ve been rewatching gravity falls! I wanted to draw them as adults being cute. i sewed a dress!!! this is by far my favourite thing i've ever made, i'm so proud of myself for actually finishing this. especially as, in the final few seconds of victory and elation, i realised i'd sewn one of the sleeves on inside out and also somehow sewn the armhole closed so I couldn't put it on?? and i couldn't find my seam ripper and was absolutely raging, but then found it in an unexpected location and spent the next 1.5 hours unpicking and resewing and NOW IT'S DONE!

okay, so I have this teeny tiny cabinet for wool, that I made a few years ago:

and as you all can guess, it was too small. the obvious solution was to built another - now my yarn also has it's own little cabinet!

fist step: making plans. the materials are either saved from trash or leftovers of previous projects - material desciptions are in the picture's alt text

I then moved to draw it in my company's CAD program, to mess around with measurements

on to building! and trying to make the drawers look prettier.

finished knitting my jumper!!! it's so cosy!!!! i highly recommend this pattern, i adjusted it to knit it on bigger needles with thicker yarn and it knit up so quickly, it was probably the most fun i've had knitting a project ever.
