We may not have gotten Eda seeing Raine possessed by Belos, but can you imagine her hearing about it after the fact? 

Eda has no idea why Raine was even with Belos going full kaiju in the first place. Last she recalls, they were off in a comatose puppet state guarding the cell she was in. Then everyone almost dies, Luz briefly dies for real, and suddenly Raine is there looking like they’re awaiting to get nommed on by a facehugger. They also now have scars that make them look like a theater kid who put on way too much mascara before bawling their eyes out. There is literally no time to ask, the world is too busy dying.

Then the world isn’t dying, and there’s time to ask. Raine, why are you scarred and missing an earring? I left you for like five minutes. What the hell happened? To which Raine now has the very complicated duty of deciding if they a) want to tell an already emotionally exhausted Eda some news she is really not going to like and b) want to tell her right here right now or if it’s worth it to risk Eda worrying herself sick by telling her they’ll explain when no one else is around.

Either way, Raine is about to become monsterfucker part 2 electric boogaloo when they realize there is, in fact, a second very scary bird form
