#I need that raichu so bad
alolanrain · 1 year
Note
Just throwing this out there for the Drake vs Lance stuff but I feel so bad for Lance. Like look at what he had to deal with sorting out what came to light during Ash's Kanto Badge run: Pewter Gym was being run by the son of the Gym Leader and he along with his wife just skipped town and left their 10 children, Cerulean Gym was just giving out badges for chores done, Lt. Surge needed to adjust his team since he was facing new trainers with a fully evolved Raichu, Sabrina was turning people into dolls, Erika was letting her Gym be run by her assistants for the most part and they were being petty and practicing gender discrimination, Blaine moved his Gym into a VOLCANO and you had to solve riddles to find the Gym, and the Viridian Gym was a front for experiments and the Leader is in charge of Team Rocket. Then the criminals everyone has been chasing SOMEHOW infiltrates the Indigo Plateau, the supposed safest place in Kanto, THREE TIMES and the third resulted in the kidnapping of a contestant who managed to escape and was later BOOED OUT OF THE STADIUM in a nationally aired event. When all of this finally comes to light, Lance finds out the kid left for the Orange Islands, became their Chosen Hero and saved the world, and defeated their previously undefeated Champion and got offered an apprenticeship with him. At first Lance thinks it's hilarious because Drake needs a kick in the pants but sitting down and really looking at everything Ash went through and how he was sorta failed by the League when it mattered most, Lance doesn't blame the kid for not staying in Kanto or trying to compete in his home region's League again.
Honestly? I think this would be a perfect chance for Ash to see just how much work Lance does every day. No wonder why he wasn’t really there, he tried to be so many times, but other things and people kept hogging his time. Taking up space meant for Ash and Lance so desperately tries to hang out with Ash in this AU that’s going on but it just can’t happen.

So ya wanna see an Evolution Party? (V2)
The second they’d returned with Lady Lilligant, Akari had basically Extremespeed’d to the supply tent, leaving everyone else in the dust. Rei helped Arezu get her Noble to medbay, grumbling about Dewotts and priorities. Honestly, he didn’t see what the big deal was with this whole “evolution party” anyway.
Honestly, he’d rather rest up and heal. This whole thing was just… a lot to deal with. A whole lot to deal with. And being around the Dewott may only make things worse.
---
Akari was zipping around the supply hall, going back and forth to try and gather the supplies needed for the party. It was astonishing one hadn’t been planned yet, but there was a crisis afoot. That and these weren’t their natural forms, but. That’s no reason to cheat someone out of one of the most important days of their life!
“So...what’s the plan for when we get this all fixed?” Eh? Fixed? Wott?
“Honestly? Mainly getting rid of all these adaptations, and getting rationing reset.”
Hearing all this caused the Water-type to screech to a halt before she stumbled over another’s words. They weren’t seriously talking about...
“Heh, well. I’d kill to have arms again if you ask me. Sucks that I have to ask for so much help.”
“Legends, that has to suck. I’m just glad I still have mine...” As the pair laughed and walked along, neither deigned to notice the slack-jawed Explorer. And, if she was of a clearer mind, she’d be thankful for that. But as it was, she had only one thing in her mind.
‘Legends, why didn’t I think of that...’
---
Rei grunted, working his ~~foreleg~~arm a bit. One good thing about these changes, Potions were far more useful. And if Akari was anything to go by, this wasn’t that bad a fate - Jubilife was adapting enough before she showed up, but once the Dewott had shown that life as a Pokemon didn’t have to be uncivilized things picked up the pace.
On his way out, he passed by a Sliggoo’s bed, where the Rock-type Noble helped remove some shards of stone from his Warden’s goopy body. A small chuckle escaped the Raichu’s lips - another training accident, no doubt. The pair had been sparring a fair bit after both had gotten back to health, and he’d heard even Sabi was joining in. It made sense - while Sliggoo were blind, Goodra could see. Best to get that back sooner rather than later, even if they don’t know how long they’ll... be like this...
Eyes slowly went wide as implications went through his head. Sweet Groudon, was that why?
---
*thump*
“OOF! Sorry about that Rei...”
“I-it’s alright, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” The duo slowly stood up, avoiding eye contact with each other.
Dust drifted upwards as paws shuffled. “So, umm... W-we don’t have to do the party.”
“I’m not sure where we cou-wait, what?” Embarrassment forgotten, the Electric-type’s eyes darted to look at the Mareepish Dewott.
“Y-yeah, I...I kinda was getting all into it, and forgot you guys. May not be staying this way.”
“I...umm. I actually realized that just now...”
“Wait, what?”
A small nod from the ‘chu. “Yeah, I...I know we want to go back to being human, but we don’t know how we’d do it... or when. So I guess indulging in something like an evolution party might not be that bad, especially if we...you know.”
“O-oh... I see.” Silence reigned over the pair, a small wind stirring up the dust and grass. “So, umm...”
huff...puff...
The sounds of exhaustion caused two pairs of ears to twitch, their owners turning over and down to look at the source: A small Growlithe, drenched and out of breath.
Both Surveyors immediately panicked, Akari reaching down to hold the poor thing. “What happened? Is everything ok? Why are you so wet?”
“A-Akari...that’s the young Lord.”
“Wott?” She turned to face her partner (...huh, guess he was!), eyes catching his fear-widened ones.
“He’s not yet taken the Trial yet, but he should be next in line... and Palina watches him like a Staraptor. For him to be here on his own - “
“Something would have to be very wrong...” A shudder overtook the Dewott as she looked back at the shaking canine.
Tears quivered under his bangs as that ruddy muzzle worked, trying to form words - and eventually managing to get something out. “P-please...help...h-help Momma...”

Asher/Baabe pregnancy headcanons I think I might turn this into a series??? Idk yet (This isn’t proof read so sorry if something is spelled wrong also, it’s kinda short bc I wrote it during my econ class lol)
Cw: pregnancy, pregnancy symptoms
Ok so they only found out because Baabe started waking up with morning sickness
Asher would find them practically hugging the toilet
“Baabe, are you ok? I know my cooking wasn’t good yesterday but was it really that bad? Did I give you food poisoning??”
But when the symptoms continued they went to the doctor only to find out Baabe was pregnant
Asher was beyond excited like literally bouncing off the walls and he wouldn’t shut up about it
“Do you think it’ll be a boy or a girl? What are we gonna name them? We need to set up the nursery. What color should we paint it?”
When Baabe was in the emotional stage and started crying for no reason, Ash would start crying too to the point where Baabe would end up comfort him
“Ash it’s ok, stop crying, I’m fine” “I know but now I can’t stop crying”
Asks Davey to teach him how to cook just so he can cook for Baabe in case they’re craving something
So many cuddles
Like he gets even clingier
Baabe uses them being pregnant as an excuse for everything
“Ash, I don’t wanna watch this show can you change it?” “But Baabe the episode just came out I’ve been waiting for this” *Baabe points to their stomach* “Fine” and then he changes it
He’s really excited up until he realizes that he doesn’t know how to change a diaper or even properly know how to hold a baby
He buys so many parenting books
When Baabe starts going into labor Ash is more freaked out then they are
Like you know that one scene from the office that’s like “omg ok it’s happening, everybody stay calm, everybody stay fucking calm” yeah that’s Ash
Ash cried when the baby was born, he sat on the hospital bed holding Baabe with one arm and the baby with another
Stoppp omg that made me soft
Ok but when the baby is born they become partners in crime
The baby is literally a mini Ash bc 1. They look a like 2.once the baby learns how to crawl he will not stay still
I can imagine it being the middle of the night and Asher wasn’t in bed so Baabe went to go look for him and then finds him on the couch with the baby watching Pokémon
“Ash he was supposed to be asleep three hours ago”
And when the baby is a toddler Baabe finds Ash trying to teach him how to play Halo
“Really Ash?” “He saw me playing and then he wanted to play too, how was I supposed to say no?”
Ash has full conversations about Pokémon with the baby when he learns how to talk
Speaking of Pokémon, for Halloween Ash dresses up as Ash Ketchum and dresses the baby up as Pikachu
Later that night when the baby was put to sleep, Baabe and Ash were cuddling in bed he was like
“Baabe I want another one” “Another what?” “Another baby”
And then right be he falls asleep he adds
“We could dress him up as Raichu”

PMD Hero and Partner Week Day 3: Villains
Day 3 of Hero and Partner Week and the choices were friends, villains, and promise and I actually chose villains. Now I decided to use this day for the villains who were also victims of the circumstances that led them to become what they were from Gengar who felt jealousy and spite due to the curse he later broke to even Nuzleaf and the Beheeyem who didn't want to go to the Voidlands. So for this I chose Munna from Gates to the Infinity with my team Infinity team, Team Hope with Hero Sharpleaf the Snivy and partner Pikachu Mirai but for this it'll actually be focused on Munna and Mirai.
“Here’s your juice dear.”
“Thank you Kangaskhan.” Munna nodded her thanks to the owner who smiled and walked off. Munna used Psychic to lift her cup sipping the juice while looking at the return letter from Gigalith glad to know he was doing well. It had been a difficult choice in separating the group but they all agreed they needed to make up for the crimes they committed alongside Kyurem. Hence why they all agree to go their separate ways to spread help to other pokemon in their own way. She had come to Noe Town by chance after helping some traveling pokemon that wanted to reach it and decided to stay a while for rest.
“No way! Is that you Munna?!” The Dream Eater pokemon jumped by a sudden shout looking to see a female Raichu looking at her surprised much to her confusion.
“I'm sorry, do I know you?” She asked. The Raichu looked surprised before then having a sudden realization and smiled sheepishly.
“Ah right you wouldn't recognize me like this.” She admitted before smiling “It's me Mirai from Team Hope.”
Munna had to do a double take at this. Was this really the same too honest for her own good pipsqueak Pikachu? Evolution truly changed her but in a good way even Munna had to admit. Mirai looked more mature and stronger but she could still see that child-like cheerfulness that just radiates from her.
“Wow, it's been a while.” Munna replied.
“Yeah since the battle against the Bittercold.” Mirai agreed, taking a seat. “Everyone in Post Town and Paradise haven't seen you and your friends since.”
“We agreed about spreading out help to other pokemon who need it.” Munna stated. “It's the least we could do after what we’ve done.”
“That's great to hear you're moving forward with the hope you were able to find that day.” Mirai smiled.
“I suppose we are.” Munna shrugged. “I guess congratulations are in order for your Evolution.”
“Oh thanks!” Mirai smiled cheerfully. “We had gotten a Thunder Stone as a reward for a mission and the team talked me into using it. Best decision ever. I feel like I can do better for my team and for Paradise!”
“Speaking of, why are you here? This seems a bit far from Paradise.” Munna remarked.
“Oh! Well actually there was this mission that required a strong electric type and our team was recommended.” Mirai explained proudly. “Naturally we accepted and here we are!”
Munna truly admired Mirai, through all the hardships, she could still smile and enjoy helping other pokemon in need no matter what. The world needed more pokemon like her; this was something Munna understood. All the more reason…
“I'm sorry.” Munna spoke, surprising Mirai.
“Sorry? What for?” Mirai blinked surprised.
“For all the stuff me and my friends did to you guys, especially for kidnapping you.” Munna explained. “I never got the chance to say it so I wanted to do it now.”
Mirai looked surprised but then smiled. “Water under the bridge Munna. You guys had your reasons and though you made bad choices, you're making up for them now and that's what matters.” She smiled.
“.... You know you are way too honest for your own good.” Munna deadpanned.
“Heh yeah I get that a lot.” Mirai admitted sheepishly.
“Hey Mirai.” They both looked up seeing a Servine looking around. “It's time to get going.”
“Ah coming Sharpleaf!” Mirai called, before turning to Munna. “Mission time see you later Munna and swing by to Paradise!”
With that Munna watched Mirai quickly meet with Sharpleaf watching the partners talk before leaving the establishment and she couldn't help but give an amused smile and sipped her juice. Some things never change.

Hey, you!
This is the official blog for Mauville Fix Shop, the city's BEST electronics repair store for Pokédex devices, PokeNavs, Pokégears, Pokétches, and other devices! If you're in need of a fix for your tech, head on over to our store at 310 Violet Street today!
...
OK, now that my manager is satisfied with the draft, I can work on the actual post! I'm Nick Docomo (he/him), age 19.
I'm the designated account manager for Mauville Fix Shop's Tumblr blog since I'm already on here... a little bit much. Moving along, I also work on old-model Pokénav repairs part-time. Primarily, though, I'm a student at Mauville Technical College majoring in electrical engineering!
To top off my resume, I'm training to be the next Mauville gym leader under Swell Shock Wattson (look, he set that as his Trainer's Eyes title and I've gotta roll with it). My team right now is:
Day (♂) the Heliolisk: My starter and current strongest team member, Day is an incredible attacker when the sun's up! Very friendly out of battle, too.
Bhaskara the Heat Rotom: It would watch the world burn just out of curiosity of what happens after. I respect its commitment to science regardless. After being given a smart oven from Wattson (who incorrectly predicted it would talk), Wattson gifted it to me.
Amp (♀) the Raichu: I caught her as a Pikachu 2 years ago on a field trip to the Safari Zone. She's a crafty little Pokémon, which is sometimes good for me but not when she pranks me, the team, or anyone else really.
Ohm (♀) the Flaaffy: An old man working at the Day Care on Route 117 just gave me an egg 4 years ago and Ohm was the Mareep that ended up hatching. She's on the sterner side of things, but not hostile.
Jet (♀) the Fletchling: I noticed that as a Fire type specialist I have a lot of Electric types so I searched for a member of the Fletchling to tip the scales back to Fire. I caught Jet very recently, but her battle-hunger’s already on full display, especially when she wants to battle Day.
Other facts about me:
I'm 5'8", have black hair and brown eyes, and slightly tan skin.
I'm nearsighted as the planet is large. I don't like it, but it's not too bad when I have my glasses.
Screw Macro Cosmos, I support the right to repair!
I'm a member of my college's second-best trivia team as well as the college's best Voltorb Flip player!
Mauville Fix Shop has been offering free 1-year warranty on all Pokédexes repaired for students at our shop! (See I'm promoting the store, can't fire me for THAT!)
OOC: Hi, @zeep-zorp-zop here on my debut Rotomblr blog! My pronouns are he/him (although any are fine), and I'm an adult. Like I said in the blog description, I will NOT be tagging for unreality, so here's another notice. If there's anything I missed that you need me to clarify, just send an ask or message!
This blog is fairly canon-flexible in that Nick will be able to interact with many other blogs’ canons, but Nick generally isn’t aware of whenever a person is a canon-outsider (in terms of Nick’s universe). About Nick’s own canon, the awakening of Primal Groudon and Kyogre hasn’t happened yet, and as such Nick may not take Teams Aqua and Magma seriously or be open to accepting them.
Whenever Nick says he’s a Fire type specialist, it’s for a type-specialty swap for Muse Mixup Madness (he usually considers himself an Electric type specialist).
I’m generally accepting of Pelipper mail, but on days that’s not the case I’ll post so here. In-character reblogs will be tagged as “ic reblog” and/or “nick reblogs”, and posts that will be relevant for a later story/post or will reveal an important aspect of Nick’s character will be tagged as “blog development”. “nick’s answers” will be for in-character answered asks.

Dsmp Pokémon AU: Scarlet and Violet update
Yep we’re doing this
Just gonna go through the ol’ teams and see if there’s any updates I can make now that there’s some new guys, plus any changes I would make. Also I’m not adding any Pokémon to all the new people, I don’t even think I have a team to everyone on the server in the first place
Younguns
Tommy still has a good team. Okay not like good good, but it’s very Tommy. Wouldn’t change it
There’s some like, possible changes I would like to Tubbo’s team. Like, I gave him a Xatu and a Grookey for like no reason. I don’t know what if replace it with tho. Maybe a Galar Weezing? Or a Gumshoos? Idk. Tell me if you have any ideas yourself
Well we’re evolving Ranboo’s Girafarig to a Farigiraf. Other wise it’s still good
Gonna make a change to Purpled as well. Instead of Ambipom we’re adding Houndstone, cause it’s like purple-ish and that’s all I need. Dogchamp
Tommy Innit - Camerupt, Scorbunny, Galvantula, Shiny Galar Linoone, Exploud, Snom
Tubbo Schlatt - Beedrill, Mareep, Alola Vulpix, Ribombee, Xatu, Grookey (????)
Ranboo Beloved - Male Meowstic, Farigiraf, Zorua, Buneary, Axew, Umbreon
Purpled Bedwars - Mienshao, Espeon, Noibat, Shiny Gourgeist, Drapion, Houndstone
Feral three, or something
Okay so Dream’s team fucking suck. I intended for him to first have all green Pokémon, but then I gave him a Drifblim for some fucking reason. So yeah we’re changing this quite a bit. Removing the Breloom, Serperior and Manetric, we’re instead adding Tatsugiri, Shiny Espeon, and Scovillain
George’s team is still pretty good. I still like it
I didn’t give Karl a fucking Spinda, I’m disappointed in myself. Replacing the Furret
Dream Wataken - Sceptile, Tyranitar, Drifblim, Tatsugiri, Shiny Espeon, Scovillain
George Notfound - Quagsire, Komala, Walrein, Snorlax, Foongus, Munna
Karl Jacobs - Poliwag, Spinda, Tangela, Croagunk, Noctowl, Stufful
Puffychu
Puffy’s team is still pretty good. No real gripes here honestly
I’m gonna remove Niki’s Fennekin and Vaporeon, and evolve her Cottonee to a Whimsicott. I’m giving Niki a Flamigo cause it’s just sorta funny, and a Dachsbun as a throwback to her bakery days
Puffy Schlatt- Flaaffy, Dubwool, Altaria, Dhelmise, Empoleon, Archeops
Nikki Nihachu - Female Pyroar, Dachsbun, Milotic, Mimikyu, Whimsicott, Flamigo
Prank duo or smt
We’re gonna evolve the Fennekin to a Delphox and give it to Fundy in exchange for his Bronzong. Partly cause fox, and partly cause it’s Furry bait! Which is funny! The rest remains the same
Replacing Eret’s Gothitelle to instead have Kingambit, cause it’s a king Pokémon that evolved through the betrayal and massacre of their fellow kind. Sorry queen
Fundy Soot - Thievul, Vulpix, Delphox, Mienfoo, Scizor , Marowak
Eret King, - Mawhile, Salazzle, Garchomp, Meowstic female, Kingambit, Seviper
Foolsamponk
Immediately giving Foolish a Garganacl, cause it kinda looks like building blocks. We’re replacing Cubone for it.
Giving Sam a Mabosstiff instead of Elgyem, cause it kinda has that guard dog vibe, and I can see it t training up his Lillipup
Ponk gets a Grafaiai instead of their Slakoth
Foolish Gamrs - Gofagrigus, M Arodactyl, Shieldon, Sharpedo, Sensu Oricorio, Garganacl
Sam Awedude - Fran the Lillipup, Ferrothorn, Golurk, Magnezone, Turtonator, Mabosstiff
Ponk Obsby, Medic in training - Tropius, Blissey, Bounsweet, M Pidgeot, Grafaiai, Bellsprout
Jack Manifold only
Sad little man
Jack’s team are just…good Pokémon. Diverse team. He’s been at the gym challenge for ten years, he’s built up a good team
Not changing anything
Jack Manifold- Druddigon, Raichu, Pyroar male, Talonflame, Aggron, Samurott
Skephalo
We’re changing Rat from being a Rockruff to being a Fidough, mostly cause it’s the most Bad Pokémon ever lol.
Skeppy’s team is either pranksters, Gem related, tounge users, or a combination of the three. We’re keeping it that way
Bad. B. Halo - Shroomish (Muffin), Walrein (Mr Squee Gee), Chansey (Eggsy), Blitzle (Roberto), Hydreigon (Snappy), Fidough (Rat)
Skeppy Halo- M Sableye, Carbink, Impidimp, Gigalith, Lickitung, Gengar
Velvetfrost
(See I say that but I’ve only given Velvet one Pokémon sooooo…yeah)
Antfrost needs to have the fucking weed cat. We’re getting rid of Sneasel, not even a real cat, and giving him Sprigatitio. The moment I saw this cat I knew Ant was getting it
Velvet has a Cherubi. This is because I don’t know much about Velvet. I’m adding on a Milcery, because baking/cake related and it sorta looks like cu-*Gunshot*
(If someone has any suggestions for a Velvet team I’ll gladly take ‘em)
Antfrost Cake, - Purugly, Delcatty, Liepard, Persian, Sprigatito, Torracat
R.Velvet Cake - Cherubi, Milcery
Punzie
Punz is the same as Jack in that his Pokémon are mainly just…good Pokémon. I am changing his Dewott to a Lokix tho
Punz Bedwars - Absol, Greninja, Lucario, Zangoose, Bisharp, Lokix
Human man
I’m giving Charlie a Clodsire. Don’t care if it ain’t really goo, it’s goo enough and it has zero braincells. It’s perfect
Charlie Slimesicle, - Muk, Goodra, Ditto, Slugma, Clodsire, Gulpin
Fast as fuck boiiii
Connor has fast boys. The fastest Pokémon added were like, the box art legendaries and I’m not giving him those. He keeps his team
Connor Eapans - Togudemaru, Rapidash, Ninjask, Accelgor, Jolteon, Sandshrew
Shady business man
Out of the originals, Schlatt was the only one I didn’t give a full team. We’re changing that today. Mans getting a Wooloo from his sister, a Paldean Tauros, and a Gholdengo
J. Schlatt, -Gogoat, Combee, Wooloo, Purrloin, Paldean Tauros, Gholdengo
ᓭℸ ̣ ∷ᔑリ⊣ᒷ ᒲᔑリ
Callahan keeps his Sawsbuck
Gym leaders
We’re switching Hannah’s steenee for a dolliv. I would give her Arboliva but she’s the first gym aight.
HBomb gets a Tinkatuff cause I think it’s funny. We’re removing Sylveon
New duck Pokémon means new Duckie for Quackie! I’d love to give him a Quaquaval, but he’s gym three so like, damn boy. Quaxwell it is, swapped out with Golduck
Wilbur keeps his team. Was thinking of giving him Annihilape, but it’s too strong.
Switching Sapnap’s Infernape for Armarouge
Philza keeps his team, but switching his extra Tepic for Lechonk
Drista keeps her team (I’d give her Roaring Moon if I could but it’s like from 3000 years ago or smt, she ain’t that powerful)
Switching Techno’s Abomasnow for Baxcalibur
Hannah X. Rose, - Roserade, Dolliv, Petilil (Venusaur, Bellossom, Gossifleur)
Haitch Bomb- Fairy Terra Skitty, Spritze, Tinkatuff (Mime Jr, Granbull, Gardevoir)
Alex Quackity - Ludicolo, Ducklett, Quaxwell (Hawlucha, Politoed, Tepig)
Wilbur Soot - Banette, Froslass, Mismagius (Jigglypuff, Wooloo, Krookodile)
Sapnap Halo - Armarouge , Alola Marowak, Houndoom (Pancham, Chimchar, Charizard)
Philza Minecraft - Honchcrow, Corviknight, Male Unfezant (Lechonk, Pluzle, Phantump)
Drista Wataken - Flygon, Haxorus, Salamence (Lopunny, Kadabra, Mareanie)
Techno Blade - Mamoswine, Baxcalibur, Beartic (Steve) (Doublade, Emboar, Beldum)

//I'M BACK BAYBEE
i didn't accuse you of harassment i meant that at worst it could be considered harassment, that's why i admitted my own fault? there's a difference there. also i am in league club, so my bad for raising an eyebrow at questionable interactions dude. again like i genuinely am not trying to accuse you of being a bad person. sorry ig - raichu anon
... Hmph. You know what? I don't even think I need to say anything. You being in the league club makes slightly more sense. But yeah.
Glad you're apologizing but that isn't needed. You can go now. Goodbye.

I Shall Not Kill Pokemon
Here is a story I will just put here versus making a video. Maybe I should make posts before videos to refine it but I doubt that would be of use. Turning me into a rboboto. Oops, my programming split. Did I say programming? I meant brain. I am a human. Beepbobeep.
So, I played Pokemon Blue and that was the first one I beat the Elite Four. I sadly deleted them. My first kill. I wish they could have been saved BUT ... turns out.. they can't be saved like that. Future talk... Johto (Gold/Silver/Crystal) was not safe for shelter. The games use too much battery which kills them.... within 9 years. (Yep...)
I killed my team. I still can't let them go. I made sure I remember them. Waterdude the Blastoise. Flyer the Pidgeot, Haunter, Hitmonchan, Static the Raichu, Shocker the Pikachu and Snorlax. There was a few others but those 6 worked so hard to get through the Elite Four and .... Damnit Gary!!! I restarted the game to play the Pokemon Master challenge (Water). I made it to Articuno. The rules weren't refine back then. The goal was to get the Legendary pokemon of the type the trainer claimed to master. That was also deleted. I kinda had no remorse on those deaths. Pokemon Red... I wasn't truly dedicated on beating the game. (Later... in 8 years, I do and refuse to restart the game, sadly... there is no way to get them to go to a new region and explore their challenges)
For Johto.... I never deleted ever. I became sadden to the idea of replaying without having a safe place for them to go without killing them all. They worked so hard. TURN OF EVENTS... remember what said about the batteries? Within 3 years... gone. I remember that team. Yes... Gold's team lives in Heart Gold. However... I forgot the team of Crystal.... just a level 74 Feraligatr....
Gold's team was Typlosion, Quagsire, Ampharos, Noctowl, Bellsprout, Haunter (yep, love that pokemon), and Ho-oh. There were lots of Pokemon since it was a catch'em all affair. All whipped out. Killed. I blame the DAMN Gameshark but .... it wasn't its fault. I got lots of Celebis. Har-har.
The rest of the story is a better ending. Hoenn... Sapphire became the warehouse of all Pokemon from restarts of Leaf Green. I think. But later... Pokemon Diamond became the next safe haven. Whew. Then Pokemon White. Okay. This is good. And then... Pokemon Bank blocks the continued move. From the years... I started to make it a smaller catching in each replay (unless the Master Challenges). So, I just have a few Pokemon. The team. The 3 extras and most legendaries.
But Pokemon Bank! $5 a month. But I just need it for a few hours. Meaning... I would waste money for transferring... But I did some of White's and moved them into the newer games. Finding them homes and adding to the Pokedexes on my main games of the regions. But there is a new problem. I never mentioned how I transferred in the older games... all the games (up to 3DS and somewhat DS). I captured lots of Pokemon to trade for the cherished team. Pidgey, Rattata, Hoothoot, etc. Those poor digisouls got sacrificed for the others. Note: Capturing and trading rescue takes too much TIME! Pokemon X became the new one that needs to be cleared. I still haven't played Kalos region more than twice. (TERRIBLE!!!) The others in the 3DS haven't been restarted EVER. Good news... Unova and Alola are not worth many times around....
In the end, there are no Pokemon erased anymore. But Pokemon Bank did hold them back. Until some months ago. However... now Pokemon Home is asking money to transfer the wandering Pokemon to the newer regions... Thanks...
With the ending of Pokemon Bank... the new teams that could happen might all become stuck forever in the past. Not too bad but... it is when the ones who lost their trainer and had no where to go... they will return to a "Pokemon White" situation. Meaning... they would be stuck in a safe haven, never to go to a permanent home.
I did promise a happy ending. The true happy ending is that none at dying by my hand. They will die thanks to the battery ending the trainer and its life. I will try to get a saver but Gold and Crystal are too late. But the GBA and Red can be saved if I do it in time.

ELECTRIC TYPE
Percy doesn't have many electric types, but she still did come across a few of them on her journey.
Raichu (M)
Tumblr media
Percy won him as an egg from a festival game. She knew there was going to be a problem when a Pichu hatched from the egg. When the little Pichu evolved into a Pikachu, Mimikyu started to act out, he starts to ignore Percy and doesn't show affection to her like he used to. Knowing that Mimikyu's depressive state was because of Pikachu, she asked him if he would be okay with evolving into a Raichu, and he was fine with it. Percy found him a Thunder Stone and evolved him.
Rotom
it is the Rotom that's inside her Rotomphone, when Percy got her phone it was already a fan of hers. Unlike other Rotomphones it's pretty chatty.

Amped Toxtricity (M)
Tumblr media
He was an impish little Toxel, seriously he was one of the most handful Pokemon Percy had, but she still loved and spoiled him like she did to every baby Pokemon she had. Then he evolved into a Toxtricity and he suddenly become too cool for spoiling and Percy is not at all happy about that.
Shiny Mareep (F)
Tumblr media
To be honest Percy's reason for catching Mareep was a bit selfish. She wanted to use her shedding wool for clothes, but its okay Mareep doesn't mind. Percy still loves and cares for her as she does all of her Pokemon so she's as happy as a Mareep can be.
Pachirisu (F)
Tumblr media
Percy caught Pachirisu in Sinnoh for Pokemon Contests. She has a very playful and hyperactive personality, she is often seen running around wildly and causing mischief with her best friend Vulpix.
Tadbulb (M)
Tumblr media
she found him while she was camping near a river in Paldea. This little rascal somehow got into her backpack and got stuck. When Percy noticed him, she caught him immediately.
Miraidon
Tumblr media
Percy has one of the only two Miraidons Professor Turo's time machine brought to the current time. The Miraidon she caught, unlike the other one, was incredibly aggressive but thankfully Percy had a vast experience with unruly Pokemon. At first it was hostile towards Percy too, but after using its power of insight and observation to carefully judge her character it decided to join her.
Please send me asks about Percy, I'm begging you I need to get it out of my system really bad.

ranking every pokemon on how likely i would be to keep one as a pet irl
first (you’re here) | next
things i will be taking into account: friendliness, size, temperament, danger of keeping it, how much i like the pokémon
NOTE: this is based on the real world, not the pokémon world. i’m also excluding hisuian forms/ pokémon because they’re not alive anymore.
bulbasaur: 8/10, very cute and friendly but i’m a bit cautious because of the poison. same thing for ivysaur.
venusaur: 7/10, same as its prevos but it’s also a bit big to have as a pet
charmander: 1/10, cute but could easily burn my house down. same thing for charmeleon
charizard: 0/10, it’s a dragon and would set my house ablaze if it got the slightest bit annoyed
squirtle: 6/10, it’s cute. the reason it’s lower than bulbasaur is simply due to preference.
wartortle: 7/10, no reason not to keep it other than the fact that there’s other pokemon i would prefer
blastoise: 2/10, i don’t like it and the water cannons make me nervous.
caterpie: 6/10, i like bugs and it’s quite cute
metapod: 1/10, what does it even do
butterfree: 6/10, it’s a relatively harmless bug
weedle: 5/10, it’s cute but i wouldn’t want to accidentally poison myself with its head spike.
kakuna: 1/10, it just sits there and that’s no fun
beedrill: 2/10, bees are great but a giant one with anger issues would not make for a good pet. they also live in colonies and i’m looking for a singular companion.
pidgey: 3/10, i’ve never been a fan of this pokémon. same thing for pidgeotto and pidgeot.
rattata: 1/10, would bite me and chew up my whole house
alolan rattata: 0/10, would do the same but with malicious intent
raticate: 1/10, just an angrier rattata
alolan raticate: 0/10, just an angrier alolan rattata

fearow: 4/10, also quite mean but better than pidgeot
ekans: 2/10, i love reptiles but this thing is aggressive and would kill me
arbok: 1/10, same as ekans but worse
pikachu: 0/10, apparently whenever a pikachu sees something new it shocks it shocks it with electricity and i am not going to deal with that shit
raichu: 0/10, similar reasoning as pikachu, it needs to frequently discharge the electricity from its body and it would destroy everything i own if i didn’t die first
alolan raichu: 9/10, probably won’t burn my house down with electricity. it would be a terrible evolutionary trait to discharge electricity from its tail while it’s surfing on it. it’s also quite cute and friendly.
sandshrew: 2/10, very cute but it would dig so many holes in my house
alolan sandshrew: 8/10, very cute and probably won’t destroy my house
sandslash: 2/10 for the same reason as its pre-evolution
alolan sandslash: 9/10, not only is it less likely to wreck my house it also emits cold air which is beneficial for someone like me who has to survive 120f weathers
nidoran female: 3/10, cute but i would want to pet it and it would poison me. same thing for nidorina, nidoqueen, nidoran male, nidorino, and nidoking.
clefairy: 7/10, apparently a popular pet. not quite my vibe, but it seems friendly.
clefable: 1/10, it’s afraid of humans and i wouldn’t want to force one to live with me unless i evolved my clefairy
vulpix: 1/10, yet another pokémon that would burn my house down. same for ninetales.
alolan vulpix: 9/10, a very cute little friend that will not cause too much destruction.
alolan ninetales: 3/10, similar reasoning to clefable. they want humans to leave them alone and i would do so unless my vulpix evolved.
jigglypuff: 1/10, if the anime is to be believed it wants people’s constant attention and that is something i cannot give
wigglytuff: 10/10, it’s friendly and apparently has incredibly soft fur
zubat: 1/10, i do not like zubat and it seems like it would be a very annoying pet to have. same reason for golbat.
oddish: 2/10, i do not want to deal with its poisonous spores. same for gloom and vileplume.
paras: 0/10, the spores seem annoying and i would feel bad keeping a mindless zombie for a pet. same thing for parasect.
venonat: 4/10, it looks so pettable but doing so would get me poisoned.
venomoth: 3/10, it unsettles me
diglett: 0/10, would so many annoying ass tunnels in my house. same for alolan diglett, dugtrio, and alolan dugtrio.
meowth: 4/10, i love cats and i like meowth but they’re too stuck-up and needy for my tastes.
alolan meowth: 2/10, same as meowth but more of a jerk
galarian meowth: 6/10, seems friendly enough
persian: 1/10, would destroy my furniture if i was a minute late for feeding time
alolan persian: 0/10, ugly and a jerk
psyduck: 2/10, it’s very endearing but it would be a pain in the ass to deal with its headaches
golduck: 4/10, easier to deal with than psyduck but i’d probably need a big pool for it and i am not a pool person
mankey: 1/10, would wreck my house at the slightest inconvenience. same thing for primeape.
growlithe: 6/10, would be higher if it didn’t have the capability to set my house ablaze. same for hisuian growlithe, arcanine, and hisuian arcanine.
poliwag: 3/10, aquatic pets are cool but i’d like to interact with my pokémon directly
poliwhirl: 4/10, it’s semi-aquatic now but i’d still probably need a pool and i don’t want one. same thing for poliwrath.
abra: 2/10, it’s almost always asleep. not only does that mean i can’t interact with it much but i also want to be able to relate but i’m writing this at one in the morning.
kadabra: 1/10, it doesn’t seem fun to be around. same thing for alakazam.
machop: 0/10, it’s essentially a small child and i don’t want kids
machoke: 0/10, it’s just a buff blue dude. that makes me uncomfortable. same thing for machamp.
bellsprout: 5/10, no real inherent problems but it doesn’t seem like a great pet
weepinbell: 2/10, my several-year obsession with little shop of horrors has given me a fear of large carnivorous plants. same thing for victreebel.
tentacool: 2/10, i am once again refusing to get a giant pool for it. same thing for tentacruel.
geodude: 0/10, any pokémon that can use self-destruct cannot be trusted. same thing for alolan geodude, graveler, alolan graveler, golem, and alolan golem.
ponyta: 3/10, cute but yet another pokémon with an open flame. same thing for rapidash.
galarian ponyta: 5/10, i love it a lot but i probably couldn’t take care of a horse. same thing for galarian rapidash.
slowpoke: 8/10, not very bright but i like a goofy dumbass. i’d need a pool but it wouldn’t need to stay in it all the time. same thing for slowbro.
galarian slowpoke: 9/10, the same as kantonian slowpoke but no pool. same thing for galarian slowbro.
magnemite: 6/10, not much personality but it’s still cute. same thing for magneton.
farfetch’d: 3/10, nothing really wrong with it but i’ve never been a big fan of farfetch’d. same thing for galarian farfetch’d.
doduo: 6/10, not much of an issue but it doesn’t seem particularly friendly.
dodrio: 2/10, the heads would constantly fight and i couldn’t even separate them.
seel: 2/10, pool. same thing for dewgong.
grimer: 1/10, would consume my entire home without remorse. same thing for muk.
alolan grimer: 2/10, probably wouldn’t do anything bad on purpose but the crystals are apparently very toxic and contain lethal poison
alolan muk: 4/10, surprisingly calm but i still would be hesitant to deal with the poison.
shellder: 3/10, another pokémon i don’t really dislike but i don’t think would make a good pet. same for cloyster.
gastly: 1/10, the constant poison gas would suck. same thing for haunter.
gengar: 2/10, i love gengar but i know it would constantly try to scare the shit out of me. and i know it would work, because i’m quick to scare.
onix: 1/10, far too big to be a pet
drowzee: 2/10, kind of creepy. it stands by you while you sleep so it can eat your dreams.
hypno: 0/10, i refuse to keep a kidnapper as a pet
krabby: 5/10, would try and pinch me. same thing for kingler.

exeggcute: 3/10, it wouldn’t cause any issues but i don’t care for the pokémon.
exeggutor: 4/10, i wouldn’t want a sentient tree as a pet. same thing for alolan exeggutor.
cubone: 9/10, i could give it the love it wants.
marowak: 7/10, probably wouldn’t keep one unless i raised it from a cubone.
alolan marowak: 1/10, more exposed flames
hitmonlee: 3/10, nothing wrong with the pokémon but its vague human-ness gives me the creeps.
hitmonchan: 1/10, same as hitmonlee but worse
lickitung: 1/10, i don’t want to be licked by this thing. you know its licks cause rashes and incurable itching?
koffing: 0/10, is constantly emitting poisonous gas. same thing for weezing.
galarian weezing: 8/10, not the cuddliest but it would keep the air clean
rhyhorn: 1/10, would rampage and destroy my house. same thing for rhydon.
chansey: 7/10, a cute friend who would help heal me if i got sick or hurt. but not my pet of choice.
tangela: 8/10, seems like a funky friend.
kangaskhan: 2/10, not very appealing as a pet
horsea: 2/10, pool. same with seadra.
goldeen: 1/10, pool and it’s ugly. same with seaking.
starmie: 2/10, pool. man, there are so few water types i would keep.
mr. mime: 0/10, that’s just a man. same with galarian mr. mime.
scyther: 4/10, too mean for me

electabuzz: 3/10, i like the pokémon but it’s hot-tempered and would probably destroy my house with electricity
magmar: 2/10, exposed flame
pinsir: 4/10, a cool pokémon but i’d prefer something cuddlier
tauros: 1/10, too big to be a proper pet
magikarp: 1/10, it does nothing but splash. also, pool.

lapras: 2/10, pool
ditto: 7/10, a fun pal

omanyte: 3/10, i would love to have a lord helix but unfortunately pool. same thing for omastar.
kabuto: 2/10, pool. same thing for kabutops.
aerodactyl: 1/10, it would have to go outside a lot to fly and it would probably catch and kill any pokémon it sees

dratini: 2/10, pool (it’s not a water type but it is aquatic). same thing for dragonair.
dragonite: 7/10, very friendly. it’s also quite big, though, and i would probably still need a pool to raise it since it’s not too common to catch a wild dragonite.
mewtwo: 0/10, i hate it and it would hate me
mew: 1/10, probably doesn’t like humans

Pokemon Masters EX: I completed the PML arc, my thoughts so far (spoilers if you care)
This is long and rambley, prepare to be rambled to if you read ahead. Includes thoughts on Team Break, new characters, and how weird Pasio is as a concept.
I honestly really enjoy this game, it's a lot fun to play! I really enjoy the battle gameplay, it's sort of like triple battles from the B & W games. It's interesting how you have both Pokemon moves and trainer moves. I like the use of the move gauge. That you may have to wait a bit to charge the gauge to use a powerful attack or use a bunch of smaller attacks and hope to use a sync move sooner.
I'd say the story isn't quite as good though, but it's like what can you expect from a kid's game? Like I don't want to be that guy that says "It's fine that the story isn't the best because it's for kids". But it's that a lot of stuff that made me roll my eyes was stuff like "We'll win through the power of friendship" and "we won because we had such good teamwork" and in the case of the villains "Pokemon are just tools" (which is pretty much the Pokemon equivalent of a villain that kicks puppies for fun).
It's like, it's a kids game, so yeah. Friendship is important and all that but people don't win via just the power of friendship. If it was only friendship that determined winning, that implies that the people that lose just didn't care enough about each other and I don't like that. It makes me think of the Just World Fallacy where the belief is that good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people.
Anyway sorry about going off on a tangent. Very quickly, another thing that I'm lightly annoyed by is the main character's sync partner being another goddamn Pikachu. I get it, that's Pokemon's mascot. But I like Raichu more and I'm sick of all these Pikachu's I can't evolve. I was more neutral on Pikachu before but it's everywhere and I am so done with it.
Anyway, Team Break. Not much of a Pokemon game without an evil team, ha ha. They were ok, kind of goofy though, couldn't take them seriously, and it's weird seeing the characters take them seriously. It's interesting that they didn't have full on uniforms, just a mask. Makes it easy to hide I suppose, really anyone could secretly be part of Team Break, I like that implication.
I used to not like them as much when I didn't know what their ultimate motivation was. Also it's interesting that the group didn't really have a character made as the leader, it was just one of the npc models. I'm used to Pokemon having really interesting designs and charismatic personalities from villain team leaders but this leader was really just some guy.
Originally they were just like "mwa ha ha, we steal Pokemon" a lot like Team Rocket really. Villain's stealing Pokemon to use for themselves never really made much sense to me because of how sentient Pokemon are. Like that Pokemon you stole knows that you stole them, why would they ever do what you want them to do, y'know? Like, with Hoopa later in the story, it's like, why is Hoopa doing what you want it to do? It can literally create portals? Why doesn't it just leave? That was never answered. The true answer is it didn't leave because the story needed it to stay.
Anyway, I feel it was a little unclear, maybe because I was only half paying attention. But I think it was said that Team Break specifically formed to mess up the tournament because they don't like Lear. Which is fair because Lear is kind of an ass, and even with his redemption I'm still not sure he's make for a good king, but then again I don't think anyone makes for a good king, king's should not exist. Too much power, really.
So they were stealing Pokemon to help them interrupt the tournament. And I might be reading into this a little but the whole Villain Team act was also to cause problems with the tournament. Maybe they were hoping that a villain team might cause the tournament to be cancelled or something? Anyway this also implies that maybe they weren't serious about permanently stealing Pokemon, but that it was just another part of trying to put it to a stop.
Yeah I'm probably giving them to much credit. But I'm vibing with the idea of a villain group that are going out of their way to look like villains to help achieve a not so bad goal. Makes me think about the goal of the Villain from Fossil Fighters 2 who turned out to not really be a villain after all.
Prince Lear put this whole thing on to convince his dad to name him his successor. So considering Lear is kind of an ass I can 100% see why people would not want him to be a king. So trying to interrupt the tournament because of that is totally valid. Anyway he became a better person so Team Break didn't really have much reason to stay together anymore. I guess you could say Team Break got Broken up.
Anyway, speaking of Lear, this game introduced 4 new characters into Pokelore. That being Lear and his retainers, Rachel and Sawyer. As Well as main character's rival Paulo. I ended up really liking Lear, Rachel, and Sawyer. I'm a bit mixed on Paulo. Partly because I'm not entirely sure what they're trying to do with him.
Like, the thing about Paulo, is that he's one of those rivals that is really affected by losing to you all the time. But unlike Hop, he's less sad about losing and more angry. Like it feels like he's going to do something dangerous and drastic to try to get power, and the story is encouraging this idea. I've played part of the Team Rocket story and it is also encouraging that idea.
Honestly, I LOVE the idea of a formerly friendly rival becoming a bad guy because they can't handle the frustration of losing all the time to you. I understand that. Frustration can really bring out the worst in people, including me. It's just that I'm not sure if the story is going to go through with it. It feels like a carrot being dangled on a stick to me. I want Paulo to give in to his frustration and become a villain, at least for a little while. As a treat. Like, come on story! Pull through with it! You're hinting at it so much! Gimme evil Paulo! If they don't do anything I'm going to be very disappointed.
Anyway I'm fond of how much Rachel and Sawyer care about Lear, they knew him before he was an ass. He used to be a really nice kid. When they said it started when his mother died, at first I wasn't on board because I didn't that that alone was a good enough reason to become as ass. But then they further explained that after his mom died he was basically sent to a boarding school. Where he was treated very badly there for 2 years (I think it was stated to be 2 years). We get to see a little bit of his time like that and it was indeed bad. So I was like, yeah I can now see how he became how he is. He kept hoping for someone to come and help him but no one really did so he lost his trust in others and learned that he can only rely on himself.
Well I guess he had one thing helping him, the mythical Pokemon Hoopa. I like the foreshadowing they gave Hoopa so it didn't feel like it came out of nowhere in the story. Although you could have potentially avoided the stuff about Hoopa because it was like bonus stuff. There were also sync stories talking about people getting teleported to the island through Hoopa's rings.
It was mentioned earlier in the story that Lear got Hoopa to help them make the artificial island by transporting stuff. I think Sawyer mentioned bribing it with doughnuts. Which I think is hilarious because of course the Pokemon with magic rings loves a ring shaped pastry, do you think it also likes onion rings and chicken rings? (Or would they be Torchic rings?)
Anyway it was said that Rachel and Sawyer had no idea where he got Hoopa and he refused to really explain it to them. Turns out he met Hoopa as a child when he was stuck in that awful bordering school. I'm not really sure why Hoopa didn't try to teleport him out, but then again I doubt that would really make things better for him since people would probably search for him. But anyway, Hoopa was his companion during that time and would teleport in and out to hang with him. But after he went back home he didn't see Hoopa again, I suppose it didn't know where he went?
While he's at the beach he first met Hoopa at, he sees Hoopa again and enlists it's help in building Pasio by using it's rings to transport stuff. I like the plot point that he can't use sync moves because he's not close enough to his Pokemon to use them. That is until he realizes he has a sync pair with Hoopa.
I like what this story does with Hoopa what with using it help explain how the island was made. I'm also just fond of stories in general about mythicals and legendaries. I like it when they get integrated into a plot.
Anyway, Pasio. Really fucking weird actually. Dude straight up makes an island, by like... taking pieces of other places and combining them together??? And somehow there aren't any wild Pokemon??? What.
Pasio really does not make sense.
Like where did he get all those pieces to make such a big island? How the hell are people not raising a fuss over this? Taking pieces of other countries is a political nightmare, did he pay for those or something??? How does taking these pieces effect the ecosystem of where they come from?? It's a political nightmare, a logistical nightmare, and I'm not sure how you even get those pieces to stick together.
Also why are there no wild Pokemon? Really there should have been Pokemon hanging out in those places that he took, did Hoopa teleport them out of something? What's to stop wild Pokemon from showing up? Clearly some legendaries start showing up in Legendary Adventures. What's to stop flying Pokemon from flying in? and What's to stop water Pokemon from swimming in?
Imagine being on an island with no animals aside from visitor's pets. That'd be kind of eerie right? Reminds me of Danganronpa v3 a bit. I imagine given time the island will have wild Pokemon showing up, it's still very weird that it's empty now. In Gardina's sync story she says that she thinks that the island will eventually lead to new regional forms. I think she's got a point, it would still probably take awhile for that to happen though.
Anyway a small thing, it's really funny having scouted sync pairs before finishing the main story and then having those characters show up in the story and act like they aren't in your team. I guess the people writing maybe didn't anticipate I would do scouting on my own before finishing the main story. The fact that I can fight people with themselves is also really funny. And because there are characters with multiple sync pairs you can have multiple versions of 1 character on your team. Like I could be fighting someone with Gym Leader Brock and also Sync Suit Brock. I guess it's an area where game mechanics don't make sense story wise. I guess with Brock he could be using two Pokemon at once, it's still funny though.
Anyway that's all I wanted to say for now, might make more posts to talk about specific sync stories or talk about Legendary Adventures or The Villain Team stories.

So You Wanna See an Evolution Party?
[Inspired by @monsoon-of-art's Pokerus AU]
The second they’d returned with Lady Lilligant, Akari had basically Extremespeed’d to the supply tent, leaving everyone else in the dust. Rei helped Arezu get her Noble to medbay, grumbling about Dewotts and priorities. Honestly, he didn’t see what the big deal was with this whole “evolution party” anyways.
Honestly, he’d rather rest up and heal. This whole thing was just… a lot to deal with. A whole lot to deal with. And being around the Dewott may only make things worse.
---
Akari was zipping around the supply hall, going back-and-forth to try and gather the supplies needed for the party.
“Heh, well. I’d kill to have arms again, if you ask me.
---
Rei grunted, working his forelegarm a bit. One good thing about these changes, Potions were far more useful. And if Akari was anything to go by, this wasn’t that bad a fate - Jubilife was adapting enough before she showed up, but once the Dewott had shown that life as a Pokemon didn’t have to be uncivilized things picked up pace.
Best to get that back sooner than later, even if they don’t know how long they’ll... be like this...
Eyes slowly went wide as implications went thru his head. Sweet Groudon, was that why?
---
*thump*
“OOF! Sorry about that Rei...”
“I-it’s alright, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” The duo slowly stood up, avoiding eye contact with the other.
“I...umm. I actually realized that...”
“My apologies, but I require you to change tracks and connect with mine immediately.”
Confusion gave way to shock as the pair were gripped by the scruffs of their necks, dragged along by red claws. Eyes turned to their captor - an Express Master by the name of Emmett, smile wider and tenser than ever before. Akari took the initiative. “Umm, Emmet? What’s going on?”
“I have been informed that my brother and fellow Express Master, Ingo, was in one of the Mystery Dungeons when it formed.” Rei’s eyes widened at the name.
“Wait, you know Warden Ingo?”
“That is a matter of discussion for another station. For now, I am lifting my embargo on Dungeon exploration to proceed on this new track I have found.”
“But-”
“No buts. We are proceeding apace. As my brother would say, ALL ABOARD!!!”
Rattling ears shook out any sense of control the younger Explorers may have had. They were heading for the Coronet Highlands...
Whether they liked it or not.

Following the New Stars of Pasio tournament, Hau, Hop, and Hugh have a little chat and get to know one another.
Length: 2,007 words
If you’d prefer: [Read on AO3] [Read on FFN]
"Pancakes," Hop repeated. He pulled his feet up onto the edge of the fountain, sitting cross-legged so that he could turn and look Hau in the eye. "That's why Alolan Raichu are Psychic-type?"
"Yep!" Hau said, leaning back on his hands. "That's what everybody says, anyways."
Hop folded his arms. "That doesn't make any sense. I've eaten loads of pancakes in my life, and I haven't developed psychic powers."
Hau burst out laughing, and Hop fought to keep a straight face. After a few moments, he dropped his arms and started snickering, too.
"Who knows? There could be something different about their diet in Alola that leads Pikachu to evolve differently there," Hop said.
"Maybe you can do research on them and figure it out for sure!"
"Hey," someone called, catching Hop and Hau's attention. Hugh was approaching the fountain, holding up a Poryphone. "One of you guys drop this? Found it on the ground just outside the arena."
Hop patted the familiar blocky shape of his Poryphone, which was resting in his jacket pocket. "Not mine," he said.
"Not mine, eith…eh?" Hau patted his pockets, blinking. He swung his backpack off his back and poked around inside, but there was no phone to be found. "Oh, that must be mine! Thanks!"
He stood up, swinging his backpack back around and taking the phone from Hugh. He unlocked it and winced. "Screen's cracked," he said. "I'll have to ask Sophocles to fix it later. I wonder how it fell out of my pocket?"
"Probably flew out at some point while you were jumping and cheering," Hop said. "You did it for every team in the tournament!"
Hau laughed. "Well, yeah! Everyone battling in the tournament did great!" He nudged Hugh. "You guys especially! Your teamwork was way better than when we battled you a few days ago."
"Thanks," Hugh said, giving him a curt nod. "It's too bad we didn't get to fight your team in the tournament proper. I would've liked to prove to you exactly how strong we are."
"Hey, who says we can't do that right now?" Hop said, pumping his fists. "Let's have a battle and see whose team is really the best!"
"But, Hop, Calem went back to the PMC already," Hau pointed out. "And the rest of Hugh's team isn't here, either."
"That's fine," Hugh said. "I'll take you on, Hop, one-on-one. Let's see how strong you are on your own!"
"You're on!" Hop exclaimed, readying a Poké Ball.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Hau said, raising a hand. "I have a better idea! Let's head to the bakery for some malasadas instead!"
"Or, you could go to the bakery and bring us back malasadas while we battle," Hop suggested.
"Aren't your Pokémon still tired from the tournament?" Hau asked, glancing between the two.
"No way. Bouffalant is still raring to fight," Hugh said.
"Zamazenta may be a little tired, but that's not enough to slow us down," Hop declared.
"Oh. Well, okay, then! What kind of malasadas do you want?"
"Sweet for me!" Hop said.
"I don't really care," Hugh said, shrugging.
"I'll pick something for you, then," Hau said. As he started jogging towards the shopping district, he called, "I'll be back in a jiffy! Have fun with your battle!"
There was no line at the bakery, so Hau bought the malasadas quickly. On the way back, he made only a brief stop outside the bakery to label them. Even so, by the time he returned to the fountain plaza, Hop and Hugh were standing and chatting, their Pokémon nowhere to be seen.
"Hey!" he called, waving to them. Hop waved back.
When he reached them, he asked, "Is the battle over already? Who won?"
"I did!" Hop beamed. "A Normal-type against a Fighting-type. It was no contest, really."
"At least Bouffalant and I know what we need to work on now," Hugh said.
"Awesome! Wish I could've seen it," Hau said with a sigh. But his demeanor immediately brightened as he held up the bag of malasadas. "Hey, now we can unwind with piping hot malasadas!"
Hau led the way to a picnic table on the edge of the plaza, where Hugh and Hop sat down on one side while Hau sat down on the other. He put the bag down on the table and started pulling malasadas out of it. He glanced at the wrappers before placing one in front of Hop, one in front of Hugh, and the final one in front of himself.
"Thanks, mate!" Hop said, pulling his malasada out of the wrapper and taking a bite. His face immediately puckered up, and he spat the bite of pastry into the empty wrapper. "Hau, I asked for sweet!"
"I ordered you a sweet one…"
"That's not sweet," Hop said, eyeing the malasada as if it had personally attacked him.
Hau's brow furrowed, and Hugh bit into his own malasada. He swallowed it, grimacing. "Mine's sweet," he said. "A little too sweet, if you ask me."
"Oh, I know what happened," Hau said, hitting the heel of his palm against his head. "I mixed 'em up and mislabeled them! Hop, you must've gotten Hugh's sour malasada!"
"Yeah, it's really sour," Hop said, wrinkling his nose.
He swapped malasadas with Hugh, took a bite of the new malasada, and grinned. "Mmm… That's the stuff!"
Hugh took a bite of his new malasada, and his eyes widened slightly. "Man, this is delicious! The sweet dough with the sour filling is a great combination."
Hau grinned. "See? It's just like I always say: if you think you don't like malasadas, you just haven't found one with the right filling!"
"Thanks," Hugh said. "How much do I owe you for this?"
"Owe?" Hau echoed around a mouthful of malasada. He swallowed and shook his head. "You don't owe me anything! It's a treat!"
"Oh," Hugh said, blinking. "Well…thank you. Again."
Hau smiled wide, mouth too full of malasada to answer verbally.
"How'd you manage to mix up our malasadas, Hau?" Hop asked. "I thought you were, like, a malasada connoisseur."
"Well, I was labeling them so I could easily tell whose was whose," Hau said. "At first I was just gonna use our initials, but then I realized that wouldn't help because we all have the same first initial!"
"Hm, you're right."
Hop laughed. "What are the odds of that?"
"So, I had to go back and write the full names instead," Hau continued. "I realized it while labeling Hop's, but I went back and labeled Hugh's first, so I must've mixed it up in my head and written Hop's name on the first malasada."
"That'd do it," Hop said.
"And you know, the funny thing is, if I'd labeled them with the flavors I would've run into the same problem," Hau said. "You guys got sweet and sour, and mine is spicy!"
Hop snorted, covering his mouth with a hand so he didn't accidentally spit out his last bit of malasada. He swallowed, balled up his wrapper, and stood up. "I'll take your trash," he offered. Hau and Hugh gave him their trash, and Hop took it all to a trash can nearby.
When he got back to the table, Hau and Hugh were looking at him expectantly. "Hop, how long have you known Hau?" Hugh asked as Hop sat down. "Hau doesn't remember when you guys met."
Hop raised an eyebrow. "Hau, we met six days ago," he said. "The day we got the team assignments for the tournament. How do you not remember that?"
"I heard about you as soon as you arrived on Pasio!" Hau protested. "And I saw you in the Pokémon Center, and around town, and…" He shrugged. "I figured we had run into each other before at some point."
"You're kidding," Hugh said, shaking his head. "You guys had never met before this tournament?"
"Apparently not!" Hau chirped.
"I'd seen him around, but I didn't know his name," Hop said.
"You guys get along so well, I figured you must've known each other before coming to Pasio," Hugh said.
Hau grinned. "Well, I get along well with everybody!"
"And I get along well with almost everybody," Hop added.
"Plus, both our names start with the same letter, so I think we were fated to be friends," Hau said.
"That means we're fated to be friends with you, too!" Hop said, giving Hugh a playful nudge.
Hugh rolled his eyes. "Sure. If that's what you wanna think."
Hau leaned forward across the table, scrutinizing Hugh. "You don't get along well with other people, do you?"
"Sure I do," Hugh said, shrugging. "If they're the kind of people I want to get along with."
Hau laughed. "You know, you remind me a lot of Gladion! You act tough on the outside, but deep down you're a really nice person."
Hugh's brow furrowed. "Is that an insult or a compliment?"
"It's a compliment, mate," Hop said, grinning. "Nothing wrong with being a little rough around the edges! It's what's in your heart that counts."
Hugh quirked a tiny smile. "That sounds like something Bianca would say." He glanced from Hop to Hau. "You guys both remind me of Bianca, actually. Friendly, cheerful, boundlessly optimistic…"
"And future Pokémon Professors," Hop put in.
"What?"
"Well, for me at least," he amended. "Bianca and I are both working as assistants to Pokémon Professors. We're aiming to be professors ourselves someday!"
"Really?" Hugh said, folding his arms. "You're a professor's assistant? You don't look like it."
Hop narrowed his eyes. "What do you think a professor's assistant looks like?"
"I dunno. Glasses, a lab coat, maybe…"
Hop elbowed him in the side. "Not every smart person wears glasses, mate. I don't, my brother doesn't… Heck, even Sonia doesn't wear glasses! And she's a full-fledged professor!"
"Okay, sorry, I take it back. Uh, you have a brother?" Hugh said, grasping for a new conversation topic.
Hop's demeanor immediately brightened. "Yeah! He's here on Pasio, too. You might've met him. Leon?"
Hugh shook his head. "Can't say I have."
"Oh, I know him! The Galar Champion, right?" Hau said. "I didn't know he was your brother!"
"That's right!" Hop beamed. "Lee's amazing. He's never lost an official match! That's why they call him the unbeatable Champion!"
"That's impressive," Hugh said. He hesitated for a moment before asking, "Have you ever been able to beat him?"
Hop smiled sheepishly. "Not one-on-one," he said. "I've won against him a few times in Multi Battles, and in team battles here on Pasio."
"I'd love to battle him," Hau commented. "I bet it would be a lot of fun!"
"Even if you lose?" Hugh asked.
"Of course! A battle's not fun just because you win," Hau said.
"Hey, you've just given me a great idea!" Hop exclaimed, jumping to his feet. "There are three of us here, right? So let's go find Lee and challenge him to a team battle!"
"That sounds awesome! I'm in!" Hau said.
"I'm down," Hugh said, standing up. "But won't he need a team, too?"
"He's got loads of friends here on Pasio. I'm sure he can find a couple of sync pairs to join him," Hop said.
"If he can't, we can always make it a two-on-two!" Hau suggested. "You and Leon versus me and Hugh!"
Hop laughed. "That just seems unfair! Lee's the strongest, and I'm almost as strong as him. Plus, we've got tons of experience battling together! You guys wouldn't stand a chance!"
"Well, if it comes to that, we can decide teams then," Hugh said. "Let's find him first. Where would he be? The Pokémon Center?"
"Knowing Lee, he could be anywhere on this island," Hop sighed. "He's pants with directions. He always gets lost. But the Pokémon Center's a good place to start!" he added, pumping his fists.
"Let's go!" Hau exclaimed, jumping up and down.
The three new friends sprinted off to the Pokémon Center, eager to experience together whatever battles awaited them.

My dreams last night were incredibly scrambled. It’s like random bits of the day were mixed together into a bizarre amalgamation of ideas.
Here’s a quick summary of what I dreamt:
It was late at night but I couldn’t get to sleep because mom’s computer was having so much trouble that even the plumber was dumbfounded. By the time I got the computer to shutdown, it was 0:30am. Since I needed to go to school at 8:00am, I was hoping mom would let me stay home tomorrow.
…she didn’t. But unexpectedly, class was about video game mechanics, and wasn’t all that bad. After school, I talked with a classmate about getting the Betty White special from the local fried chicken restaurant.
Not that it mattered; I just went home and proceeded to choke on and vomit out several hairballs.
The dream ended with me getting into a Pokémon battle with some random trainer, who complained that I was cheating by teaching my raichu unofficial moves.
Oh, and somewhere between getting home and throwing up hairballs I became a teenage girl with long purple hair. Sort of a whatever moment.

i find the idea of "what pokemon partner could you feasibly have currently" to be interesting. like of course in the ideal pokemon world id have ALL my favs. but if i had to select One of my favorite pokemon that i could most likely take care of if it showed up on my doorstep... it's such a difficult question to ask! id love to know what other people's picks would be (my own rambles below)
my immediate answer would probably be Zangoose, since i already have experience with fat grumpy kitties. i live in a place that is far too hot for weavile, sadly, who is part ice. and sneasler is a cat with venomous claws, which is a little too risky for me. unfortunately, without a lunar wing, darkrai would be off the table, even if its definitely the coolest option. latios or latias would probably require a diet of more specific foods and a higher amount than i could afford, given that they're plane dragons large enough for a human to ride. even though it would be sick as fuck. the same could probably said of most other legendaries; the swords, for example, or the bird trios. they're large enough that they probably require an insane diet.
i think Deoxys is also a feasible answer, albeit a more fanciful one. deoxys doesnt really need to eat, as far as we know, even though it's capable of it in the games. and i would love to have a weird spaghetti alien to hang out with. scizor and lurantis would be off the table, because i'm actually deeply terrified of insects and having a gigantic one in my home would be scary i think. even if lurantis isnt actually a bug pokemon, its still a praying mantis. i don't live close enough to water to be able to take care of a kabutops, or things that would be engaging for what seems like a very high-energy predator with swords for arms. i already have a dog, and he doesnt even HAVE swords
gallade might be one of the most symathetic, i think if i were to expect any non-mythical or legendary pokemon to understand the concept of capitalism it would be some of the psychic types. i think i could teach my gallade to understand things such as taxes, but that may inspire him to take a very direct approach to fixing capitalism so that i can buy him more treats. so that's out the window. can't have a ceruledge, either, houses tend to be flammable.
a zoroark would be super cool, and probably really warm and soft to cuddle with given all its fluffy fur, but the idea of a canine larger than i am that can play extreme mind games with me if it decides it's angry with me is also frankly terrifying. i'm not sure how to explain it; the idea of a space alien that can shapeshift trying to kill me is one thing. i bought my ticket the moment i let a deoxys into my home. and zangoose, again, is just like a big grumpy cat, and i know how to deal with those. but a zoroark is just, like, a big weird dog. so the idea of having one of those and it making a magical attempt on my life is more upsetting. also i'm kind of scared of very large canines. so that one's off the table too
raichu would also be so awesome i think. there are definitely risks that come from having a living high-voltage generator in your home, especially considering raichu typically have a bit of a high-strung demeanor, but it's an oversized jerboa. i could probably find ways to play or otherwise engage with it in activities that would help burn off the energy without blowing up my house. and, if a storm takes the power out, i could make sure the fridge and freezer can keep running so we don't have all the food in the house go bad. i think especially having a pikachu, or just an electric type in general, could be useful as a house pet as long as you learn how to train it to not blow the place up.
i think some of the starters like blaziken or meowscarada would be cool, falling under the same sort of umbrella as gallade. they seem intelligent enough to understand roommates and shit. but i'm not equipped to talk about the extensive and blurred line in pokemon between "household pet with magical powers" and "furry roommate with a language barrier" on this post

HI THERE!!!!! It's so nice to see you back after so long 😭😭😭😭😭
Seeing your Pokemon posts reminds me how we missed out on the rest of your Alola liveblog. And I guess you've played the other Pokemon games that came out since? What teams did you end up going with?
Also how was Ultra Necrozma back in USUM? 😈
Aww, how sweet! Thank you for the welcome back! And yeah it really is a shame I never got to complete the Pokemon Moon liveblog but it is what it is. I also have to continue my Tales of the Abyss liveblog one day! Yeah I've had ample time to play it myself and finish it but even though I really wanted to play Abyss it didn't feel right to do so without the liveblog, especially since so many kind people were giving me advice throughout the experience or telling me how excited they were! So I've stayed strong and not played it and also did my best to avoid spoilers (still got a couple because that's my luck 😔) so that one day I can complete that playthrough!
But anyways my dear anon, you asked about my Pokemon teams and I'll gladly tell you. Heck, we'll go in order and I'll tell about all my babies!
Fire Red: Rave the Charizard, Thunder the Raichu, Bella the Butterfree, Arrele the Vaporeon, Draco the Dragonite, and Kori the Articuno. First game to also start one of my traditions of having an Eeveelution on my final team. First and only time I ever had a legendary on my final team and that was mainly because this was my first time playing Pokemon and I sucked bad...Mostly it was because I was having shit luck with Lance, you guys should've seen how hilariously shit I was when I played this game! And yeah as you can tell I wasn't the most creative nicknamer at this point.
Soul Silver: Stuey the Feraligatr, Lindbergh the Fearow, Zappy the Ampharos, Rocky the Onix, Vula the Ninetales, and Kaede the Espeon. My mixed Kanto/Johto team! Started my tradition of the Flying type named after a famous aviator, which is supposed to be the regional bird but I grew too attached to my Fearow Lindbergh to replace him. Also yes Rocky is indeed the same Rocky you get in an in-game trade...I loved him too much to let him go too. He and Vula, who was only a Vulpix when I faced the Elite Four because I couldn't get a fucking Fire Stone, did really well despite not being evolved!
Alpha Sapphire: Sascha the Sceptile, Twizzler the Linoone, Auriol the Swellow, Lyn the Manectric, Odense the Glaceon, and Capricia the Armaldo. This was the game I really got into my other tradition of having an Electric type with a name based on light/thunder/lighting/electricity/etc. Twizzler was another one of those "not supposed to be on the final squad but grew way too attached" Pokemon. This was also one of the few generations I loved the Grass starter most.
Platinum: Tarrle the Infernape, Sparks the Luxray, Earhart the Staraptor, Burgess the Roserade, Bemo the Floatzel, and Juby the Umbreon. Juby my baby boy was my MVP against Giratina he stalled so well while I tried to catch my shadow dragon baby. Gosh, just looking at these guys brings me flashbacks of our Cynthia attempts. This was also the first Pokemon game I played where I experienced a glitch! It was right before I caught Burgess, I was trying to catch a Budew and the game just randomly froze up on me.
Black: Ashby the Samurott, Richthofen the Unfezant, Lochrin the Krookodile, Fulgur the Galvantula, Bia the Beartic, and Drachen the Hydreigon. Drachen was still only a Zweilous when we completed the main story because I have a strict "no being a higher level than the Gym Leader/Champion/Final Boss ace" rule. And I'm no cheater like stupid old Ghetsis!!!! I love the Joltik/Galvantula line so much like way to make the cutest spider ever, so I was so excited when I got Fulgur!
White: Mariele the Serperior, Brinny the Stoutland, Ame the Simipour, Bolt the Zebstrika, Yeager the Archeops, and Dexio the Druddigon. Originally only stuck with Simipour because I needed a Surf user and we all remember Unova was really lacking in the Water type department. But he honestly grew on me more than I thought he would that I was like "no he's my child don't say anything about him >:(" to anyone who hated the elemental monkeys. Also, just like with Black, no Eeveelution on my team this time around.
Black 2: Telavive the Emboar, Milan the Leavanny, Lelouch the Lucario, Piorun the Jolteon, Cassie the Sigilyph, and Arach the Haxorus. I'm listing my teams in order the Pokemon games came out but Telavive was my first female starter, not Mariele. I don't even like Code Geass but for some reason when I caught my Riolu the name Lelouch just clicked with me. Cassie here was the real oddball of them team because I always considered Sigilyph so offputting and never considered having one on my squad. And yet she really ended up growing on me as I battled with her.
Y: Ketchum the Greninja, Andrieux the Talonflame, Kaname the Sylveon, Éclair the Heliolisk, Amarin the Aurorus, and Lulu the Goodra. Can't believe it took me until Gen 6 to name one of my babies after my precious gem Ash. This game was the reason I bought the 3DS in the first place and I had thought I wouldn't do well with it but that system introduced me to so much stuff. Also as I mentioned a long time ago, my Y game was stupidly lucky!!! There were so many good Pokemon in this gen.
Moon: Oliver the Decidueye, Anoli the Flareon, Torden the Vikavolt, Coleman the Toucannon, Vitenka the Mimikyu, and Yurinova the Drampa. For anyone who asks I named my Decidueye Oliver because I liked the name not because of a comic book character, that's just a really incredible coincidence! You guys may recall from my liveblog that Torden was just there and I had no intention of him staying but then like 24 hours later he was my grub son. I had so much fun playing this game and yes, of course, I named the legendary Nebby!
Ultra Moon: Marseine the Incineroar, Orage the Alolan Raichu, Avonaia the Dusk Form Lycanroc, Ulrich the Leafeon, Falomi the Ribombee, and Quimby the Noivern. The last game I played with an Eeeveelution on my team because with Ulrich I had one of each and there haven't been any more forms released yet. Orage, Avonaia, and Quimby were all Pokemon I wanted back in Moon but Alola had so many good picks they had to make the cut. So I was glad to have them on a final team at last!
Sword: Einwald the Cinderace, Crossfield the Corviknight, Elodie the Alcremie, Mirum the Flapple, Salama the Toxtricity, and Philomena the Frosmoth. Elodie is specifically a Mint Cream Berry Sweet version because I adore blue so much! Almost didn't get Berry Sweet because it was taking me FOREVER to get the berry decoration but on my last attempt I finally got one. I never was closer to the end of my rope than when I was desperately trying to level up Mirum while waiting to get his evolutionary item. I know people have grievances with gen 8 but I sincerely had a great time playing and loved the cast and there were great Pokemon to be found in this gen!
Legends Arceus: Takamasa the Hisuian Typhlosion, Shigure the Wyrdeer, Megumi the Kleavor, Yoshie the Hisuian Lilligant, Shinobu the Hisuian Zoroark, and Konoe the Sneasler. The first time I ever broke both my Electric AND my flying tradition. It was because by the time I got attached to my squad there weren't any other Hisui only Pokemon left that I really clicked with but then again how fitting for a Pokemon game so out of the norm that none of my personal Pokemon traditions made a showing. And as you can see in keeping with the setting I stuck with Japanese names for my babies. I had so much fun with this game and would love to see more Legends-like Pokemon games in the future!
WOW that got pretty long huh? Sorry anon, I'm sure you didn't ask for the essay but I got excited to talk about my Poke babies~! I'm also casually playing some Nuzlockes/Wedlockes on other versions but those are very much a work in progress in terms of what my squads will look like there so it'll be a LONG time before I update you on those teams.
I'm currently going through Violet and while my final team isn't set yet I have Carmine the Sprigatito who's gonna become Meowscarada and Trueno the Pawmi who will become Pawmot. My plan as of now is to have Tinkaton, Dachsbun, and Ceruledge on my final squad but anything can happen between now and me getting them. My one big question is I can't decide on who my Flying type should be because I saw several options and I'm torn between them. Will update once I have a final squad for Paldea! Oh, and even though he's not technically a battling member, Karui the Miraidon is OF COURSE a part of my final squad by default!!!
And to close this out, how was Ultra Necrozma you ask? Well I had heard about its level and how obscenely hard a fight it is but I also heard the following Kahuna battle was at a lower level. So, in keeping with my strict rule mentioned in the Black section, I went into this fight really underlevelled and scared as fuck.....Only for Marseine to hold on with one HP because he loved me after getting smacked by Power Gem and then proceed to OHKO Ultra Necrozma with a critical hit Malicious Moonsault.
So yeah lol 😂😂😂
