I was gonna post a vid on tiktok bc I have more followers there but i'll post it here because-

When I die, I wanna be reincarnated into Redacted Tumblr as a beautiful Lasko/Gavin spicy fic-

Anyway, I drew the D.A.M.N. boys + Imperium AU :D Please look at them, its late and I'm tired.

I also have a speedpaint of them on my yt (eggyboyoart) so if you wanted to look at that as well, I would be rlly happy :))

I wanted Lasko to look super light and soft and cloud-like while also being kind of elegant?? He looks so poofy :D

I hc that he takes rlly RLLY great care of his hair, like- mans has a 23 step routine to keep it untangled and soft :))

The hair routine also helps him relax and de-stress after a long day

I also headcanon that he wears a lot of light, soft sweaters with a button up underneath for that academic soft boy look

In the Imperium AU, he got the scar across his eye from a wayward daemon who tried to attack him in the D.A.M.N. daemon haven.

He wears his hair tied back into a low pony tail to seem more 'professional', bc my mans is the ACADEMY PRESIDENT :D

Imp! Lasko wears a black suit with a white button up and either a red or light blue tie (gotta keep it professional when you're tormenting daemons and chasing after uninterested freelancers :|)

IDK why but whenever I imagine Damien (original timeline), its always with rlly short hair

idk I feel like if he had long hair, it would make him too warm around his neck and that'd make him uncomfortable and grumpy (well, more grumpy than he usually is anyway)

gotta keep the neck open for air flow (and easy access-)

I think he wears a lot of sleeveless clothes (tank tops, sleeveless hoodies, etc and shorts bc of the heat

Damien is a chronic khaki shorts wearer, I'M SORRY-

Imp! Damien is royalty so obvs gotta keep it professional

I feel like he would have other priorities than cutting his hair so it mostly just gets slicked back out of his face

The scar on his neck is from a failed assassination attempt (our boy damien stays livin', unlike Angel-)

I feel like he still wears sleeveless shirts but also wears a fur cape (like, one of those white ones with the black spots with the red velvet) which seems counter intuitive.

I am relieved to say that Imp! Damien doesn't wear khaki shorts :D silver linings, guys-

I wanna start this off my saying, Imp! Huxley might be one of my favourite characters

Hes just, such a piece of shit and I don't want to change him, I want him to stay exactly how he is, thats the POINT-

Freelancer bought him neon jewellery for his lip piercings and he screamed when he got them

also a sweater wearer like lasko but he likes his sweaters to be oversized, but because hes just big, his sweaters are like blankets for regular sized ppl

he has his hair kinda long-ish bc freelancer enjoys playing with it and he likes making his friends happy so he keeps it kinda long just for them-

Imp! Huxley is a piece of shit and we love him for that

He doesn't have friends so his hair is shorter

He probably wears tactical gear/uniform bc he is an enforcer, but its all like a dark green which looks rlly good on him

no neon piercings for Imp! Hux as much as I hate to say it

GAVIN OUR FASHION ICON-

He knows clothes like he knows freelancer's body- IN AND OUT. Hes got that shit LOCKED DOWN

Freelancer gave him the heart glasses as a gift

Gavin never saw the appeal of piercings until freelancer said they would look hot on him, REALLY enjoys all the different types of jewellery

Probably wears patterned button up shirts (with as many buttons undone as possible) with skin tight jean/leather pants

Imp! Gavin dresses like hes homeless, theres no time for fashion when you're trying to survive in an dystopian magic world where everyone hates you :P

I hc that when a Daemon gets low in energy/emotions, they can't keep their 'glamour/human form' up so they forcibly have to take on their more daemonic traits (horns, coloured eyes, markings, tails, claws, etc)

and bc of the shit hole that the Imperium AU world is... :|

I also hc that only sex and sadism daemons have coloured sclera

What if i just started posting my art to Tumblr?

Some Verosika Mayday art! I usually love the designs in Vivzie's work, but the design they gave Verosika for her human disguise in 1x03 was just not my personal jam and I really wanted to try my hand at trying the replicate the Hellaverse animation style. So... Behold!

I'm really proud of how these came out, and I think I managed to capture a lot of different character elements, so yay! Lol

In the next pic, BEHOLD! THE REFERENCES (all from Pinterest) and the comparisons!

I considered giving her a more alternative style, but she is a popstar, so I took some scene influences (that got WAY watered down (sad)) and mixed that with some elements that were a bit more mainstream(?), and then tried to keep it a little sexy. I probably could have gone harder on the sexy 9bc, well, succubus), but tbh I think I matched the vibe of the context in the end, which is what's most important lmao.

Finally, the speedpaint:

I could write for literal ages on the details and why I chose all the different elements, but this post already feels super long so I can talk about that if anyone is interested, but otherwise, I'll just leave this here for now haha

Hello I started my post who knows how long ago for those that wonder what I draw or what I might be doing for this place where I started to share my shit then here ya go!

Hi!! I'm Mew Mew!!

I draw dragons, demons, angels, humans (practicing), cats, other animals, fan stuff. What I plan on sharing is ofc art, and game creating. Yeah I have been planning this project for over a month now and I am still in the planning phase of it. I'll be sharing it with yall!!

I like to play a lot of video games and watching some cool t.v shows on yt or prime I have been wanting to watch a tv show but my mother says no :(. I like watching hazbin hotel and watching Viviepop's speedpaints. Tbh I just LOVE her art ever sence I found her channel I just fell in love with it. She is my 1# top favs of mine. Most of my art I like to have some V in it (V is sort for Viviepop) I also like animating! I'm still learning how it all can work but I have some pretty cool ideas in my head. I want to take my ideas and just wanting to share it! I'll be showing some of my friends to (Not there irl faces) I have given them all each a character that they themselves have created!!

"New Year, New Me."

To start off the new year, I decided to update my persona. A new look and feel to get me better settled for the changes I wanna bring into the new year.

I have a few simple goals that I'd like to work toward, but maybe the list will grow as time goes on. Besides bettering myself IRL, I wanna improve my work ethic a bit more, such as....

- Making a better art schedule (Both producing and posting)

- New commission listings

- Make a few short animatics/animations or speedpaints for YT

- Draw more of my original characters along with some fanart

- Get better at drawing/incorporating backgrounds into images 8'D

- Make more fully colored pieces

- Maybe more???

But that's the basic gist of it. Hopefully this year is better than the last. 😌

I'm going to preface this post with this: I do not hate and do not wish for anybody to harass any of the new animation meme creators. They are, as far as I have seen, mostly minors, and I only want them to improve. This is a personal opinion that you can easily not share with me.

With that out of the way, what's the deal with this decade's animation memes?

I'm asking this as somebody who, you could say, grew up on late 2010s AniMemes. Yes, it's not exactly as valid in some eyes than somebody, say, watched AniMemes from earlier, but I digress

It's pretty much a fact that previous decades' animation memes could be split into two categories, and both are still equally popular: dancing ones (Posing, Fashion, Smile, Kasane Territory, etc.) and storytelling ones (recent Darkside, Crash). Now, I'm not saying that these didn't have any loops and/or tweening, as the first type is almost fully comprised of it. And, of course, they could be combined to showcase a character's story or main traits through loops in music (like some older AniMemes by sir fluff, or their Beach Episode meme) (other examples: Melody, There's Something Wrong, Something Has To Happen, I Hate You, etc.)

However! Now, I see... an... alarming(?) abundance of the same type of animation memes, that being an aesthetically pleasing furry character tweened to some daycore'd or nightcore'd loop, sometimes having shapes show up over their face and maybe a limb/tail dragging out paint over the wall. If something out of this seems familiar, that's because you've probably seen it, as YouTube pushes them in recommendations quite frequently

Now, do I have a problem with new AniMemes appearing? Of course not! But there are a couple of things that make me feel a bit concerned/weird:

1. As far as I've seen, most of these new memes are made by kids, possibly influenced by trends on other platforms. I don't have a problem with the kids on YT themselves (I am one, c'mon), but I do wonder if the sudden influx in audience and the overwhelming amount of support is stressful to some degree. And it is the internet, after all, not everybody is going to be overly positive about the work

• Note: I am glad that cringe culture is dying, and that the internet is becoming a more welcoming place ^_^ But too much of anything can be detrimental. Obv, hate brings a lot more wounds, but nobody has excluded paranoia from the idea of people faking positive responses out of pity or as a mean-spirited joke. Another thing is that it looks more like a trend than anything, that will fade away eventually. Along with animators' popularity. Yeesh

2. Speaking of work, while I don't want to insult beginning animators, but... it's a bit stagnant, don't you think? Yes, half if not most of 2010s AniMemes, as I've said before, consist of tweening for most of the video. But not to the degree where almost each and every new meme is a character standing in place and moving their arms up and down maybe lipsyncing. The old AniMemes were a big inspiration for me and still are, because we all can see the varying styles and effort put into them. The new ones... Only feel it for. like. three — I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend, Punk Tactics (as a silly edit loop) and Pass The Dutchie.

3. Related to my previous point: lack of variety in general. Yes, AniMemes should be somewhat easy to create, but since the music in them [2020s ones] is a simple loop with little to no jumps in tone, and the ones I've describes get tons of views and comments, then why bother? You can't get very creative with a song that could be playing unnoticed in a speedpaint or in a grocery store.

Let's take Chime meme as an example of prev-gen AniMeme music: its start could be used for a simple title card, but could also be used to introduce a jokey conflict, a set-up. Next, we have a drop, low-voice "Do you wanna feel?", and two loops, which can be filled with anything

Unrelated, but I used to think said "Do your magazine", when thinking about an AniMeme with Ink Sans making a magazine for Error Sans... you know, as an artist.

Which makes me now realise that it's kind of a perfect example: one part of music makes you think not just of what the original meme did, but of different scenarios, branching and branching, conveying emotions and how you view your OCs. With the new memes, I see a bunch of pretty OCs created solely for the looks with not much story. Which is acceptable. If they have character. And, unfortunatly, I haven't seen much new-gen memes that convey what personalities these OCs have

You won't be perfect when starting out, but improvement is inevitable. You will either do it unconsiously or wish to do so. And sometimes, you need to see what others have done before you to get that push in the right direction

How do you do them so 3d? and realistic. (sorry alot of questions but your my biggest inspiration, I wish i was as good as you..)

i did go to a school and graduated. you don’t really need to do that to learn more tho. with clothes, i think about my own clothes when i draw. how do the clothes crease at the joints? how does my jacket flap (annoyingly) in the wind? where do my clothes snag when i turn a part of my body and how does that cause the clothes to fold? and i of course, google a lot. i use real life reference until i can draw something easily from my head, and even then i have to whip out google because my brain forgets something very fast. i look how other artists have solved a problem i have with anything!

i use a lot of reference for anything and any other assets you can think of to learn. i don’t post most of my stuff and you don’t see every terrible doodle i make. (so don’t be afraid to be bad at something.) i look at artstation a lot because the front page has a lot of cool artwork that kind of can “rejuvenate” my brain into thinking about painting or drawing, for lighting or storytelling or composition or character design.

most of all, i aim to enjoy drawing as often as possible! that keeps the motivation up! because drawing isn’t fun every second of it, it gets you frustrated. sometimes that is an issue with planning or poorly thought out drawing for me, if i’m painting a scene i don’t have a perfect drawing for, i get frustrated and do not finish the painting completely. it’s better to have a more complete sketch/drawing underneath, helps the painting process immensely)

i do whatever i can to get motivation, like watch yt speedpaints or illustration tips or i go look at my fave artists’ work, or i draw characters i love!

some keywords: values, lighting, color theory, gesture, illustration, composition. study these! if you want to improve, you can start from anything that strikes your fancy, but maybe some art help from youtube could be helpful?

yeah it's very vague, I deleted all my LPs out of fear, might do the same for speedpaints. the guidelines are very vague. A tip I saw someone give is "if an outsider who knows nothing pop culture & stuff looks at your video, would they think it'd appeal to kids?" also one thing I’d like to say is that isn’t YouTube’s fault, it’s the fault of the law being changed, which YT has to comply to

The thing is I don’t know if kids would be into like, speed paints? Especially of original characters????

Also if I do a totally fluffy speedpaint of Kokichi with a kitten or something, is that considered kid content, despite the character being from a game that is very not meant for children???

Like. I know it’s not YT’s fault completely but they’re making their shit super vague and it’s going to kill their platform.

Also!!! What’s gonna happen to things like Hermitcraft??? And AH, who play games that kids might enjoy but also run their mouths like drunken sailors in every video they’ve ever produced???

Thought I'd try something new!! I'd like to post more often, so maybe I can start posting speedpaints every Wednesday? Let me know what you guys think!!

To start off, here's a speedpaint with two side characters from Paradise!! The main focus of this picture is Tsurigane, a little old corgi islander. Next to him is Banko, an old friend from his mortal life. I did some research into flower meanings, and I found the Asiatic Lily-- a flower that represents foreign travel.
