CW: yandere character, manipulation, unhealthy relationships, obsession, jealousy, stalking

- an encounter with tecchou is an opportunity that is hard to come by outside of his work, since he's more devoted to his duty of upholding justice more than anything

- that's not to say it's impossible. besides, as long as he recognizes you share the same values as him, you'd easily make an impression on him, even if you didn't plan to do so

- due to tecchou's nature, he easily focuses on things that pique his curiosity or admiration. he can spend hours watching you display your sense of justice or leadership (much like the ants he watched without moving)

- while tecchou can be either a platonic or romantic yandere, his overall intentions are the same. he wants to protect you from the cruel, imbalanced world he's used to. he knows your beliefs can change in a moment once you realize the true nature of people, and doesn't want that to happen

- tecchou doesn't like lying to you or deceiving you. he's an honest person by nature and hates using force or mind games to get you to do something. since he believes sincere discussion is the best way to ease tensions, arguments with tecchou never get out of hand - most of the time he's not able to pick up on what you're feeling, nor does he stop to consider how you're affected as a consequence of his actions. in fact, he's surprised to know that you actually feel more paranoid than safe because of his constant surveillance - because unfortunately, as you'll quickly realize, tecchou genuinely believes his actions are helping you. you may be upset at his rigid rules but he only wants to protect you - he thinks you don't understand that his actions come from a place of good intentions, so while he's ready to hear out your concerns, it's impossible to get him to change his ways when they're so rooted in his personal values, and so he'll keep justifying his own actions to you. - tecchou feels responsible for protecting you from the evil intent of anyone else. due to this, he indirectly restricts your social circle so that all your friends are all either in the hunting dogs or involved with them in some way

- tecchou doesn't ever toy with you or harm you. however, that's not to say he won't hurt others...

- he revels in his ability to make any potential target tremble in fear from just his glare. and even if they don't back down from that, he has an array of methods to silence anyone who dares come in his way

- while tecchou doesn't consider himself violent, he's willing to dirty his hands to protect you. but at first, he doesn't actually consider hiding it from you

- it's likely a hunting dog member (jouno) would be the one to advise him about keeping it a secret. jouno's the one who explains to him that even if he was protecting you from who he deemed as 'evildoers', you'd probably not appreciate the sentiment

- in fact, you'd likely be horrified at the thought that tecchou would be so cruel as to harm someone who only wanted to talk to you. you could only justify tecchou's actions if you believed he was only truly apprehending criminals, which is ultimately why he makes sure you never catch him hurting someone else

- he doesn't want you to lose your trust in him, which is why kidnapping and imprisonment are also not in tecchou's plans; not unless he absolutely has no other choice. he fights off the evil from your shadow, and ensures that you are none the wiser

- tecchou's not used to physical affection, but will quickly adapt to your preference. since he's physically a lot stronger than a regular person due to his modifications, it'll take him a while to figure out if he's holding you too tight or if he's hurting you

- he'll be happy if you want to join him while he's working out. whether you want to help out, watch or try working out alongside him, he'll appreciate the company

Persona romance routes are all pretty bad but damn they really hit rock bottom with p3p femc route like the misogyny is very blatant and it’s almost hilarious like look at the Shinjiro romance. When you do his social link he’s like very clearly respectful of Kotone as a leader and explicitly says stuff like "oh yeah you’re clearly the best fighter we have, I don’t really know much about fighting like you do, I hope I’m not dragging you down, you’re doing a good job as leader just remember to take care of yourself, everyone looks up to you I know you can rely on them" etc. like he has faith in her leading abilities. But then when you romance him he’s like got dialogue like "bwah bluh i gotta look after you because you’re a GIRL and you need to stick by me, a big strong MAN so you don’t get hurt" and "don’t wear that revealing outfit in front of other guys 👺" and it’s like. Does he respect her or not and also like it doesn’t make sense for him to look down on her for being a girl cuz he literally has never not been led by a girl leader during his time in sees and Mitsuru in particular really has her shit together when it comes to being responsible and a good fighter and she’s always known the most about Tartarus

It’s also like. Idk maybe its just me I’m not a girl so FUCK IF I KNOW but to me the appeal of romancing Shinji is the fact that he’s sweet and sensitive and gentle and has respect for you despite the fact that he acts all scary. That’s like, what made me like this character in the first place. But the writers seem to think what women want is for a BIG STRONG MAN to protect them because they are just DELICATE WOMEN who are inferior in every way it’s like. Shut upppp thanks

wait what about sharpeis and poodles and how they relate to crop/dock? and have you found that anti-dock people are also against nbts or is it the opposite?

so here is the argument: we shouldn't crop/dock dogs because it takes away their communication tools. lots of dog body language is displayed via the ears and tail, so without those it's hard for them to communicate and be understood. there's a particularly stupid robot dog study that comes up a lot.

to which i respond, ok cool, so you're against nbts? and no, because nbts are Natural TM so that's okay. even tho nbts ALSO lack a tail and ALSO can't communicate with it, because they had it from birth instead of 3 days, that's meaningful here for some reason.

and i say ok so no shar peis or other breeds with small, tightly folded ears that don't signal very well (or tightly curled tails that barely wag or leave an erect posture)? and no, shar peis are fine.

and i say did you know how much signalling is done via the wrinkles around the eyes and the corners of the mouth? and if your dog has a coat that obscures those, like in poodles and doodles unless they have a clean face, that is really hard for anyone to read? they usually did not know this because everyone looks at the tail!!!

and then i point out that if you watch both crop/dock dogs and natural dogs of the same breed, a lot of the things we blame on the crop/dock are actually just breed things (aussies are assholes! it doesn't matter how much tail they have! ditto for dobes!), or can be found in other, non-crop/dock breeds. or both.

that part of proper socialization for puppies means exposing them to a wide array of dog shapes, because it's not that tailless dogs can't communicate, it's that they communicate differently. long-coated dogs give different signals than clean faced dogs, because they've learned that just wrinkling their mouth doesn't work.

...and also that why are we doing elective surgeries, why run the risk of nerve pain down the line, why throw off the balance and hips (and this DOES apply to NBTs too, i'm not keen on them either!), if we're going to do them, do them well, which means vets and not breeders and it means pain meds, and it means talking to vets and researchers about the efficacy and safety of pain meds in neonates, and wow, this suddenly looks complicated!

I haven’t mentioned it here yet despite the fact I did it pretty much elsewhere, but holy moly the Hi-Fi Rush Latin American Spanish dub is actually really damn good.

I play most of my games and watch most of my series with the original dub + subs, but sometimes a great Latam dub might come around, and Hi-Fi Rush is certainly the case. It feels so natural to me, like how a good cartoon dub might feel like it was made for that language. I haven’t tried the other dubs, because I’m just having way too much fun with my own, native language dub. 

I think a couple of jokes were lost in translation, but that might be 2 out of 20 jokes that constantly land and make me laugh harder than any other game I’ve played in several years. It’s just so much fun. Props to the localization team and all the actors, they nailed it.
