I think Dune part 3 will be going heavy into themes of climate change
This is just a theory, but it's something I can see happening. There is a theme of climate change in Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. After Paul becomes the emperor of the universe he sets about doing what he promised the Fremen – bringing them to paradise. Arrakis will go from being the harshest and driest planet in the world to having rivers and channels.
As it turns out, changing a planet's climate on a fundamental level has downsides.
The worms, which create the spice, cannot handle water. The spice is disappearing. The planet is changing. The new generation of Fremen have forgotten the old ways and are getting bought out of their own houses. Paul's holy war has ruined them, their culture, their ways. He led them on a pointless holy war, and now they are dying off. Gentrification, climate change, globalization and capitalism is killing them.
This is all from books from the 60s-70s. Even if the third Dune movie is only based on Messiah, the themes of climate change and capitalism are very apparent there. These are fears which only have become much more intense today.
This is just a theory but it's something I've been thinking about a lot.

I've Raised my Hands against the Evil Spirits
Maria Nephele:
I've raised my hands directly against the black mountains and
the evil spirits of this world. I've asked love 'why' and
rolled her on the floor. Wars occurred and recurred, and not
even a rag was left to hide deep within our things and forget
it. Who listens? Who ever listened? Judges, priests,
gendarmes, which is your country? [ . . . ]
Antiphonist:
I've raised my hand directly against the
unexorcised evil spirits of the world,
and from the sickly place I returned
to the sun and the light self-exiled!
Maria Nephele:
And from the many tempests I returned
among the people self-exiled!
from Maria Nephele, Odysseus Elytis (A. Anagnostopoulos transl. 1981)

“Even if she could see into my dreams, she would find no garment of the sort she would have me imagine. “I don’t know what I want.” The words come out a whisper, too true by half. “Destruction and ruin,” she says with a clack of her tongue. “I can practically smell it on you.” -the stolen heir (holly black)

On Kawara's daily artmaking practice did generate a lot of data. Now the Tama Art University Library has released their On Kawara Db, a digitized database of their collection of Kawara publications. This includes all 16972 pages of 24 volumes of the artist's daily record of when he got up, where he went, who he met, and what he read. And a couple hundred Today Series date paintings. And a couple hundred telegrams letting people know he was still alive. The On Kawara Db is a very On Brand conceptual tribute.

The hour when in their offices desperately
hanging on their telephones
the boors struggling for a nothing
you ascend inside Love
smeared all over with soot but agile
like a chimney sweep
you descend from Love ready to establish
a white seashore of your own

Watching Three Body Problem mostly out of interest to see how they tackle it and one thing I will compliment is that Benedict Wong as Da Shi is absolutely fantastic casting. Da Shi (meaning Big Shi) being the rough and hardened cop who describes himself as,
“I’m a simple man without a lot of complicated twists and turns. Look down my throat and you can see out my ass.”
As well as this part
Fantastic job.
