Ok so as some people may be able to tell I recently got into sk8 the infinity sooo some sk8 the infinity headcannons it is (also please keep in mind some of these may be a bit ooc as these are my personal headcannons)

So we know joes shop is cherry favorite place like that's been confirmed by the creators so it's my headcannon that he was their on joes opening day to help him open the place (and test the food)

Reki absolutely loves to cuddle

Joe is so emotional because he's so afraid to become emotionally disconnected as adam

Miya has a long cat plush called mr mittens and you can’t convince me otherwise

Reki hops from hyperfixation to hyperfixation with his main one being skating (honestly same)

(⚠️warning⚠️ yes I know this is a mainly outplayed trope but I’m a sucker for angst (in moderation) and the found family trope sooo) Miyas parents will leave him at home for days sometimes weeks on end with enough food for that time frame and enough money to last (barely)

Shadow collects dvds and brings them to joes when they all just decide to dog pile their for the night after S

Langa constantly loses his phone charging cord and they will end up in the weirdest places (the fridge, freezer, the ceiling fan once???, etc.)

Miya. Loves. Legos (and so does reki) enough said

Shadow had mega blocks as a kid

Someone (Miya) taught cherry slang (slay, visco girl, yass) once and everyone was horrified as Cherry walked into the room and this played out

Kaoru/cherry: this movie is so- slay?

Kaoru/cherry: Miya did I use that correctly?

Miya: *instantly dying of laughter*

Everyone else: *horrified*

Kojiro/joe: please… for my sanity and everyone else’s… never again…

Kaoru/cherry: *begins to protest*

Reki: never again!

Miya can’t cook for anything so when his parents leave him alone (see headcannons above for explanation) he (reluctantly) calls joe who calls Cherry and they go pick him up bringing him to sia la Luce

Miyas hoodie once ripped and Joe and cherry fixed it with a little cat patch (it’s hidden under his hood so you don’t see it most the time but when his hood is up you can catch glances of it)

Miya started ironically calling Cherry and Joe mom and dad but now it’s become the Norm for all the kids however reki switches between mom and dad and their real/S names and langa just says their real or S names most the time

Langa and reki can be caught cuddled up in a booth at joes before S after school watching skating videos with Miya occasionally joining the corner (not cuddled up with them unless it’s a bad day or something but even then it’s platonic between them) relentlessly teasing the two about how they should kiss and date and then immediately calling them gross when they actually do date

One day everyone just kinda finds out kojiro/joe and cherry/kaoru are married, like they suspected it long ago but now their finding out oh yea they’ve been married 3 years and nobody knew this is how that exchange went

Kojiro/joe: *kisses cherry/kaoru*

Kojiro/joe: alright don’t forget tonight’s movie night with the kids so pick up popcorn on your way home

Kaoru/cherry: kind of hard to forget when they’ve been screaming about it all morning you big dopey gorilla

Everyone else: *in complete and utter shock*

Kaoru/cherry: *plainly* it’s rude to stare you know.

Reki: you two! You!

Miya: mom and dad kissed!

Kaoru/cherry: I am not your mom! Also of course we did, I mean one would assume 3 years of being married would be plenty long enough before kissing

All three of the kids: your what!?

Kojiro/joe: married? Yes almost 4 years now

All three of the kids: *jaws dropped*

Ages! Because I cant find any good official sources for how old they are!

Adam: 25

Kojiro/joe: 23

Kaoru/cherry: 23

Alright. As you all may know, I started out as a My Hero Academia fanfiction blog. This year, however, I'm looking to expand my blog and try to introduce other fandoms.

The fandoms I've recently gotten into include Sk8 The Infinity, Trigun/Trigun Stampede, Mr. Villain's Day Off, and I've watched a few episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen (I'm still on season one of it).

Cherry Magic / 30-sai made Doutei dato Mahoutsukai ni nareru rashii Episode 1

Overall Score so far: 8/10

Mainly because Kiyoshi Adachi knows he is in a BL, and is very aware of what might happen to him, and the short hand title is fucking hilarious. Cherry Magic. Cherri Maho. Man I love Japanese.

Also GOOD CROWS ABOVE THIS ANIME IS GENRE-SAVVY. It knows exactly what it's doing, and feels like it's going to deliver what it promises. A wholesome lovey dovey little story.

The whole 1st episode almost feels self contained in a way that will definitely let you know if this show is for you or not. Capybara pointed out that this seems to be a common recent trend with anime for their first episodes. We saw it in Dr. Elise, Frieren, and Dungeon Meshi kind of felt that way too.

My first impression that might not make sense to some people is that this is a toned down Doppo and Hifumi from Matenrou/Hypnosis Mic.

Also, WE'VE GOT TWO POWERHOUSE VOICE ACTORS HERE!!

Adachi is being voiced by the lovely deadpan of Kobayashi, Chiaki - His other roles I know being Langa from SK∞, Gabimaru!! (my beloved) from Jigokuraku/Hell's Paradise, and Mash!! from MASHLE, also this season! I haven't seen Vinland Saga yet, but other might know him as Askeladd! Kobayashi-san has a very particular voice that doesn't fluctuate much, but he knows when to show emotion that gives a good impact. Quote from Capybara - "They picked this guy for his dead pan, but can he emote? Oh, he's Langa from sk8, oh yeah, he can emote."

Kurosawa is voiced by Suzuki, Ryouta a super memorable voice! - Ryusui from Dr. Stone, Yuu ishikami from Kaguya Sama, BISCO!!! FROM SABIKU BISCO!!! That is some RANGE right there! Loud and Prideful, Quiet and Dark, and then a Screamy Boy. This is a younger VA who has had some great starting roles, and has already become a memorable and impactful voice, making this a very good match up!

Anyways, nerding out about voice actors aside, Episode 1 spoilers below!

At first it seems like we're going to get the standard tropes that come with the BL(Boys Love)/Yaoi Genre...

Adachi is ON HIS GUARD and KNOWS THE TROPES.

But the show immediately spins those very same tropes on their head! It's great!! It's been so long since I watched a BL, and despite knowing that the genre in manga form has mostly moved away from a lot of the dub-con tropes (unless you're looking for it of course), it's lovely to see something that actually feels like a proper and semi-realistic romance.

Kurosawa seems like a super sweet dude who's ALSO aware this is a BL, but also that gay guys don't just exist everywhere and that the chance of his crush returning his affection is low.

But. There is no way Adachi is straight. He's absolutely either bi, and/or gay + somewhere on the ace-spec (demi?) depending on how things play out from here.

I bet Adachi stumbled into reading a BL manga (or two or three or) at some point in his younger years, and it had more of an impact on his psyche than he remembers, lmao.

His fascination with knowing Kurosawa has a crush on him is adorable, and he's absolute confusion at stumbling across the other man's fantasies is hilarious.

The tension between them is beautiful when Adachi is pretending to sleep, and we all KNOW Kurosawa is thinking of his sleeping face and then playing it off as just grabbing his phone. I repeat, there is NO WAY Adachi is straight, lmao.

In response to this rhetorical question, No and Yes. If Adachi was the woman, saying yes would imply that she was aware she was being asked to have sex and giving consent (at least by Japanese standards I ASSUME? I've never been in this situation). And if Kurosawa was the woman, that is one very forward and direct lady who is absolutely Down To Fuck (Again, by Japanese standards afaik).

God, then they go out for yakiniku/Korean bbq the next day, and he finds himself enjoying the other man's company and wishing they could be friends, only to brush up again him and remember this man is in love with him. Adachi, you precious child, this is why you're so lovable. The immediate regret for taking the other man's feelings so lightly and not knowing what to do as he runs away is heart wrenching and OF COURSE THE EPISODE ENDS THERE.

It's a running theme that Adachi is worried about other's opinions and doesn't know how to rely on other, which tends to be a negative, but in this case, he's so conscientious of hurting Kurosawa by taking his feelings lightly. Even though he ends up hurting him anyways, I see this as a favorable take on the typical people-pleaser type character.

I'm not really looking to the implied trope of "Best Friend who also has a crush and claims to know him best" in the next episode, but since everything else has been subverted, I'm hoping that will get subverted too? Especially knowing that Best Friend-kun is in the secondary pairing from the PVs.

I WANT TO BINGE THIS. THIS IS GOING TO BE SO DAMN CUTE.

The HypMic Reference:

Adachi is a Toned Down Doppo, who is an over worked businessman at a black company who might as well be Canadian for how often he says sorry, but goes into Berserker mode and absolutely destroys his opponents when pushed too far or his partners are hurt, and is Hifumi's emotion support human.

Kurosawa is a super Toned Down Hifumi, who is the #1 host at a club in Shinjuku and has a split personality of the perfect princely boyfriend, and a charai/flashy and "it'll be fine lol" personality, who is basically a housewife for Doppo and is also Doppo's emotional support human.

There aren't THAT many connection points between the two, but still, I like the comparison, aha.

Anyways, My Hopes For This Anime, having NOT read the manga and not wanting spoilers, are that these two get together by half way through the season and then we get the "newly dating" stages of their relationship, and various mishaps that only serve to strengthen their relationship. They seem like a very good couple and it would be a waste for them to not get together.

If they don't get together until episode 12, I will be so blue balled that I will have to drop it if only to get the circulation in my brain back.

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks....

That's such a hard question to answer because there are so many characters I love. But right now my top 10 would be (in no permanent order bcs I'm indecisive like that, this is literally just in the order that I thought of them)

1. Nakahara Chuuya (Bungo Stray Dogs) - I have never loved a character the way I love this man. I'm not sure how exactly I started liking him or why but he's been my number one favourite for a long time.

2. Jesper Fayhey (Six of Crows/Shadow and Bone) - I recently read the duology and then watched the show. After the books I liked him but after the show, I was obsessed. I really like his vibe and just his whole flirtatious act. I love watching him start to understand himself better through his character arc.

3. Wylan Van Eck (Six of Crows/Shadow and Bone) - I absolutely loved his POVs in the second book. I really related to him and just loved the depth of his backstory and just love him as a character.

4. Beidou (Genshin Impact ) - Pirate mommy. That's all I have. I just love her.

5. Shinya Hiragi (Owari no Seraph) - This is another one of those I got fixated and never got over it type of faves. I don't even remember why I love him. All I know is I do.

6. Madeline Hatter (Ever After High) - This show was my childhood and I still have an unhealthy attachment to her. I think I just really liked the randomness of her character and just the wonderland vibes.

7. Cherry Blossom (SK8 the Infinity) - I love his hair first and foremost. And I love his role as a mentor to reki and langa.

8. Chigiri Hyoma (Bluelock) - Again, my first obsession was his hair. But I really related to the feeling of being scared of failing at your passion.

9. Mikage Reo (Bluelock) - I love his dynamic with Nagi and his fear of abandonment. I love him so much.

10. Mereoleona Vermillion (Black Clover) - Hot strong woman who can beat my ass <3

I’ve binged them in a row which is quite surprising at this point in my life. I’m currently watching Demon Slayer and planning to rewatch Sk8 the Infinity soon. Might start reading those danmei novels since I can’t for the life of me get into the live action version. Busy busy!

Hi ....Do you mind if I ask your top 5 (or top 10) favorite moments from any anime (can be series or movies)? Sorry if you have already answered this ask before.....

This is an incredible ask which inherently will come with some serious spoilers! This was also really tricky trying to determine what makes something my favorite - was it the funniest? The craziest? The biggest plot twist? I used the benchmark of what moments do I wish I could watch for the very first time, all over again. I broke the difference with eight, hope you don't mind!

⚠️ Spoiler Warning covers the following series (specific benchmarks will be given) for Sk8 the Infinity, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Yuri on Ice, Trigun, Fushiigi Yuugi.

SK8 the Infinity S1 E6, allusion to S1 E10

Starting off light! One would assume that one of the most iconic scenes in Sk8 is the slap heard round the world but I found that more heartbreaking than anything. My favorite moment of Sk8 is easily Miya cockblocking Joe on the beach because what a flex, first of all. Secondly, the build up and subsequent (unknowing) teamwork of our favorite motley crew of skaters? 😘👌🏾 Chef's Kiss and *peak* comedy.

Attack on Titan S3 E16

I could talk at length about the exquisite exposition of Attack on Titan and how each rewatch sprouts new easter eggs of foreshadowing as the world unfurls for the viewer. But the truth is, out of the entire series, the moment that I would want to rewatch for the first time is Erwin's rallying speech in Shinganshina. In addition to inspiring goosebumps and anxiety when I hear it, it is a perfect storm of emotions as concurrent events unfolding are all coming to a head. It's a wretched life and a hopeless situation made worse by the all-or-nothing corner they've been backed into. The standoff is more poignant as it's a reckoning of Erwin's own past of valiantly using others as cannon fodder if only as a means to a strategic end. A man we now know to be possessed by the obsession of proving his father right, presses forward ceaselessly while never seeing a future beyond that and we're never given the time to fully digest that. "A Perfect Game", indeed. The speech manages to be heart wrenching every time. Including when the dub pops up in my music library.

Yuri on Ice S1 E10

Hot Take: Every sports anime is a BL. You cannot convince me otherwise. BUT THIS WORK OF ART!? Literally the exception that proves the rule. Episode 7 was GOOD. Like, "ohmygod-ohmygod-ohmygod, IT'S HAPPENING!" good. Episode 10 was a cultural reset ✨ and what I wouldn't give to see it for the first time all over again. From the viewer's perspective, Viktor picked up his life with one foot in a relationship when he decided to coach Yuuri. It was alluded to, hinted at, his susceptibility of Yuuri's affection should it ever be thrown his way but in an almost detached, puckish manner. A manner that frazzled Yuuri so he could never take it seriously. So what a comedy of errors to know, after finally finding a working rhythm and even exchanging rings, that Yuuri was the one who made the first move!? OMG. Iconic plot twist, truly. The bonus evidence of his champagne fueled revelry is one of my all time favorite bonus sequences.

My Hero Academia S3 E18, S6 E9 and Heroes Rising (Indirect Manga Spoiler Ch 337)

Maybe a bit biased since I'm most plugged into this series at the moment (I like GIFs and only get 9 a post), but here's a treasure trove of moments! I've recently gotten my niece and nephew into MHA and rewatched everything from S1 to the current season and all movies while seeing how they digest everything. I tried to tweet about it because it's truly novel seeing things for the first time through their eyes but didn't really keep up with it. Since I'm reading the manga (and need to pick back up on posting about it), I have a renewed perspective on certain moments so see below:

Iida rallying Aoyama from the figurative edge during the provisional exam and how it inspired Aoyama to sacrifice himself so someone he perceives as noble can be slingshot across the finish line. Humorous of course since we know Iida was like a hair away from murder a season or so ago. When this last ditch effort unites the rest of Class 1A and serves as an impetus for them all to pass together? BRUH. With what we've seen of Aoyama and what we later learn, rewatching this scene actually made me a bit more emotional as it added a layer to his duress that we don't comprehend just yet.

Bakugo's hero moment which mirrored Midoriya's own hero origin story. Don't get me wrong, Bakugo is no stranger to sacrificing himself. He and Midoriya make it a habit of saving one another. But this specific moment marks itself indelibly as deliberate insight into Bakugo's character growth because we hear his thoughts in that moment which seems to mirror Midoriya's. TBH, the episode was good but reading that for the first time? Phenomenal. It felt more impactful somehow.

The final fight scene against Nine with everyone coordinating to use their quirks to the best of their abilities while knowing they were outclassed. Bakugo and Midoriya seamlessly working together and then the (non-canonical IG) transfer of OFA with Deku risking quirklessness again and Bakugo warning him against it. *Cue Sarah McLachlan-esque soundtrack.*

Trigun (OG Run) S1 E 23

I slipped down the Adult Swim to Toonami pipeline of anime so Trigun was one of the first anime I fell in love with and kicked off an enduring adoration for characters voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch. Wolfwood's showdown with Evergreen and the subsequent scene at the church as he makes his peace before dying forever altered my brain chemistry. On the one hand, I loved Wolfwood's character as he played off of Vash so well, comedically. At odds but similarly aligned in the greater good though the means to the end weren't always in sync. I could appreciate the dissonance of his character, holy man who kills; unsavory priest, etc. So I would have been sad to see him go either way, but the life he imagined for himself as he was dying? Knife in the heart. Knowing that ultimately, legendary gunslinger Vash the Stampede made such a visceral impression on this ne'er do well priest, moreso than the God he served and that that was his undoing? Twist that knife, baby. That last bit I can appreciate much better as an adult where, as a kid, I could understand how moved I was without realizing the complexity of it. Truly devastating.

Fushigi Yugi S1 E33

I'm realizing that a lot of my favorite characters tend to be really irreverent and rough around the edges. These very same characters tend to have compelling depth beyond their surface level brashness and character growth that stays with me. Such is the case with the graceful and beautiful Nuriko of the Suzaku warriors. As a kid and also for a series of that period, I could understand that Nuriko had a rich complexity and appreciate the relief that they were accepted wholeheartedly by Miaka and the warriors. The character was so deeply steeped in grief that it defined them and muddled their identity over the course of their life. Upon finding a new mission, they were able to come into themselves but only by slowly letting that grief go. So it is ironic that this person, shortly after finding peace in who they were, was marked for a death that would critically galvanize Miaka and the rest of the warriors to carry on and see the mission through to the very end. This episode became a core memory and I distinctly remember bawling.

Kota

Tate and I go into my room and before she even steps foot towards my closet I say, "Well Tatertot you're gonna be sorely upset with my closet, they only thing you're gonna find in there is different Navy apparel that is mine or my dads that I stole from him, band shirts, or flannels from Jake."

"Really Kota, you don't own anything classy?" I shake my head no, "The last classy thing I owned was a dress I rented to wear to the Navy Ball one year with Jake. After that we both just wore our dress uniforms."

"What am I going to do with you?" Tate says with a sarcastic sigh. "Love me anyways?" I say, giving her puppy dog eyes. We both just laugh, while she starts digging through my closet and I sit on my bed watching the genius at work.

After a few minutes of digging through my closet Tate says, "Dakota Kazansky! What is this?!" I think to myself, shit what did she find, because she just pulled out the legal name. "What's, what Tate?" She pulls out the crewneck sweatshirt that she found, "This!"

"Oh..." I rub my forehead lightly, "That was a gift from Jake," before I could finish that statement she turned the sweatshirt around to see that the back says, Seresin with a number 9 under his last name. "Oh. My. God Kota!" Tate squeals, "Is this what I think it is?"

I nod to her, "Yeah, that is a sweatshirt that Jake gifted me with his name and his Navy Midshipmen football jersey number on it." Tate throws the sweatshirt at me, "That's it you're wearing this tonight, Kota, did you ever hear about the tradition of football players giving their person either their letterman jacket or their jersey?"

I look at her puzzled, "No, I've never heard of that." Tate pinches the bridge of her nose, "Oh Kota you sweet summer child. This is like a step down from high school football players or sweethearts giving their girl their class ring. The tradition of giving the jersey or class ring is to show their love for their person. It shows everyone else around you that you were his person."

"No fucking way...." I stop, thinking about everything over the years, leading up until the bar recently with Jake and the bartender. "Holy shit, how have I been this fucking blind? How have you not slapped the sense into me?!" I say to Tate.

"That's what you're wearing tonight Kota! Also try these shorts on!" She says tossing me the shorts I just wore a few weeks ago. I put the shorts on to humor her to where she excitedly yells, "Holy shit those shorts make your ass look damn fine." I laugh at her comments. "So we have my shirt and shorts picked out, what shoes are you putting me in Tatertot?"

She digs through the shoes in my closet, eventually landing on my favorite pair of black sk8 hi vans, "These!" She hands the shoes to me, and I'm glad she's at least picked me out something I'm extremely comfortable in. She's already dressed similar to me. She pulls me into the bathroom and gives me a gorgeous light Smokey eye with a small winged cat liner. I take a look into the mirror, "Tate if this pilot thing doesn't work out for you, you definitely have a future being a stylist!"

I do two Dutch braids on the top of my head that lead back into two messy space buns. Tate touches up her makeup and hair and then we run out to her car. She drives to this cute little retro diner that she had found. "This place is so cute, how did you find it?!" I say excitedly. "Oh Javy and I ended up driving by it on the way to our house and eventually ended up trying it out for breakfast one morning." Tate replied. We walk inside and the waitress greets us, and leads us to our booth.

Tate looks down at her phone and sends off a text message. I took a picture of Tate on her phone and sent it to the guys, with a message saying, My super cute date for tonight! Tate and I get talking about class and how excited we are to be in San Diego for 13 weeks, and anything else we could think of. Suddenly Tate's phone rings and I look over at it, "Grab it, it's perfectly fine, it might be important!" She gives me a thank you look before grabbing her phone, kissing my cheek and then running off to answer it.

I sat in the booth for a while wondering if everything is alright with Tate. I look around and can't see where she's gone. The waitress came by and asked if she could take our order, and I asked for another few minutes. She obliged and walked off back behind the counter to serve a customer at the bar.

Jake

Javy gives me directions to a diner for us to grab dinner. "When did you find this?" I question him. "Oh, Tate and I had breakfast here one of the days after you and Kota helped us unpack." He replied. I hear our phones go off and I look down at the teasing photo that Kota had sent. It was a picture of Tate on her phone captioned with My super cute date for tonight!

I hear Javy's phone go off again, and he says, "Hey I gotta make a phone call really quick, would you mind running inside and grabbing us a table?"

"Of course, what do you want to drink in case they ask?" I questioned him. "Oh uh, I don't think I'll be out here that long." I shrug to him, taking my keys out of the ignition, and walk inside. I'm greeted by the waitress, and am being led to a table that already has someone sitting in it. I stop for a moment really hoping this wasn't a set up by Javy just trying to get me some tail, until I notice a certain sweatshirt. It's the one I had given to Kota. Then it clicks, holy shit it's Kota and she's wearing THE sweater.

I follow the waitress to the table, and she walks away. Kota hasn't noticed I've walked up, she's busy looking down at her phone, I peek over her shoulder, she's sending a message to Tate to see if Tate's okay. It finally clicks to me what's happening here, they've set Kota and I up on date together.

I clear my throat, "Is this seat taken?" I say to Kota and she looks up to me. "Jake? What're you doing here?" I chuckle at how oblivious Kota can be sometimes, it's so fucking cute. "Uh darlin', they set us up, Tate's not coming back, may I sit with you?" Her eyes go wide realizing everything, "Yes please."

I sit down across from her and look at the menu that's been left by Tate. After a few minutes the waitress comes to take our orders, I get a Coke with a burger and fries, Kota's order is almost exactly spot on to mine, but she requested cherry syrup in her Coke.

The waitress walks away to put our order in with the kitchen, and I finally admire the outfit that I'm assuming Tate picked out for Kota. "Is that the sweater I gave to you during or plebe year?" I ask her, honestly surprised she still has it after all this time, and my god does she look as gorgeous as ever in it still.

She gets up a little bit and turns around the best she can in the booth to show me the back of it, "I loved it so much, that I've kept it all this time. It's been like, what, 5 or 6 years now?" She questions and I nod in response.

"I can't believe you've kept it all this time." I say with a hint of surprise in my voice. She looks at me shocked, "Why wouldn't I? It was a gift from you, I could never get rid of it, plus it's far too comfy to throw out." She says chuckling, "Although I'm sad to say that I think I only found out it's true meaning today when Tate had to explain the whole varsity jacket, class ring, jersey thing to me. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to realize Jake."

I think to myself, holy shit, she finally understands the meaning of it. I blush a pale shade of pink. "Kota, do you know why my jersey number was the number 9?" She shakes her head no at me, "No cowboy, I can't say that I know why, care to explain?" I smiled at her, "Well we were given the option to pick our Jersey numbers as a quarterback the numbers I was given to pick from were 3, 7, 9, 14. I looked really hard for a 22 because that would have been the day you were born on, but 22 wasn't available. So I picked 9, the month you were born instead."

She gasps, finally realizing, "Jake, you tried to pick my birthday for your jersey number?" She covers her mouth with her hand as this epiphany hits her all at once. "Buy why?" She asks. "Kota, you're my girl, and you'll always be my girl whether we are together in that sense or not. You've always been my biggest fan and supporter." I say truthfully.

The waitress brings us our food and Kota looks at me lovingly like I'm the sun and I've finally breathed some oxygen into her. "Jake, I.." she starts but doesn't continue as she's unable to form the sentence she really wants so she goes back to pondering what to really say.

We start to eat our food, and I joke to her, "Kota you're so adorable, but god are you so oblivious!" She looks at me pretending to be hurt by what I just said, and she playfully throws a French fry at me. Now it's my turn to feign hurt, "You just hit me with a French fry!" She shrugs looking at me, "Well." I quirk an eyebrow up at her, "You're rude, you know that?" She just looks at me shrugging once again with that precious little smirk on her face, "Yeah." She says giggling. My god that giggle, the things I would do to hear that all the time, this woman is going to be my downfall.

We both end up just laughing and goofing off with each other while we finish the rest of the meal. We go up to the counter to pay our bill only to find out it was paid for already. Kota and I just chuckled to ourselves. I extend my hand out to her, she takes my hand, intertwining her fingers with mine, "So what do you say Darlin', was this first date good enough to earn a second one?"

She acts like she's thinking, tapping her pointer finger that currently isn't being held in my hand against her bottom lip, "Yeah I think I could go for a second date." I smile at her and ask, "Kota, can I kiss you?" I watch her bite her lip before nervously nodding to me. With my free hand I cup her cheek gently and place a kiss against her soft lips, her free hand finding its way to my hip.

After we broke apart from our kiss, I tucked a small piece of hair behind Kota's ear, "What do you say darlin', wanna go watch the sunset on the beach with me?" She smiles happily, "I'd love to Cowboy."

lemme tell you about the new football anime please

It’s called Blue Lock and it’s my brand of absolute shitshow;

TLDR: the soccer anime is a shitty gay as fuck battle royale and your op here LOVES it.

First thing I want to make clear is that sports anime is a very vague definition because people who create these stories will literally just fucking do anything. Love it. You got your serious sports drama that inspire you to become better, like your KazeTsuyos and your Haikyuus. You got the fujobait/yuribait bullshit that’s just kinda themed around sports so it has a plot to follow along (Free!, Sk8 the infinity, that one about the golf girls dressed in lingerie I think).

and of course, the biggest contendant of the sports genre: the anime bullshit. Prince of Tennis, Kuroko’s basketball and, most recently: Blue Lock.

Blue Lock is a battle royale manga that uses football as a plot but it is impossible to make any statement on said plot because the manga is kinda silly and is constantly contradicting itself but that’s not the point I want to make. This huge post is not a criticism, but mostly about me sharing my new favorite cringe.

The art is stellar, I’m an absolute sucker for good dyanamic art in manga and BL (will purposely use this abbreviation that always makes me cackle) has so much power to its art, actually! Nomura Yusuke-sensei, the responsible for art and character designs, is very very good at his job!

(It’s hard not to get spoilery with these examples)

Anyways, when I started reading this thing the battle royale and the “anti-sports anime” aspect were the things that got me thinking I should keep going and, let me tell you, this thing does not go where you expect it to go and I will spoil you a little bit on very later plot details on this story, so just skim with your little eyes closed in case you...really don’t want spoilers for BL anime

I realize this post will not sound coherent at all, I’m mostly spitting out thoughts about a manga that I, admitely, have not thought about that much.

Yes, they have bullshit powers in this thing. They have SPECIAL MOVE NAMES they have JOJO STANDS they have ELDRITCH FOOTBALLIC ABOMINATIONS.

and it’s EDGY, good lords it gives the 13 year boy who watched too much anime vibes. I dig that cringe so hard.

The best part though? As every other representative of its genre, Blue Lock, the manga that has BL as its IN UNIVERSE ABREVIATION, is so unapologetically gay.

As gay as a battle shonen gets, which is a lot, may you not lie to yourself. You like your BL with childhood friends and cliche high school scenes, they got you a WHOLE ASS SPIN OFF AROUND YOUR FAVORITE GAYS.

Do you like your gays extremely on the nose and horny, I GOT YOU SOMETHING FROM BL

WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

This manga has been my personal source of campy madness for a while now. I purposely look for the chapter discussions on manga forums just to see how people react to these and most of the time you just get guys talking about actual football (boring) but sometimes.... sometimes you get these

(TL: BL is about repressed homosexuality with a bit of football sometimes sprinkled on)

the purpose of this post is just to tell you, this manga/anime may look like a serious shonenfied reading on japanese football but that is far away from its best asset. The crazy levels of drama and the homoeroticism are what you should be here for, because those will not require any critical thinking (or eye-straining, let me tell some panels are REALLY hard to get through, geez, the protagonist keeps turning into puzzle pieces)

If you got curious about it and want to have any idea of what awaits for you in Blue Lock, trust your friend over here, this is what you should expect.

Hello followers and or fans, Sorry for the delay in posting, I recently moved and started a new job which turned out to be disappointing, to say the least. I'm planning to start trying to post weekly or semi-weekly again. I was also hoping to make a few changes to this blog, primarily maybe shifting it into a multi-fandom fanfiction blog. I've been watching Trigun and Trigun Stampede (And yes, I fell in love with Vash. Big surprise, hah), Mr. Villain's Day Off, Sk8 The Infinity, and a little of Jujutsu Kaisen. So depending, I might make a poll to see which fandoms could possibly work for the betterment of this fanfiction blog. I think it would be fun to try writing for some other fandoms. So yes, fun changes coming ahead! Look forward to the poll!

My Hero Academia

This isn't a new anime in the slightest, considering its multiple seasons, but it's new to me. I watched it years ago with my ex, but only got halfway through season 2. Now I'm rewatching it with my bestie and my current partner, having a blast with it! I forgot how funny season 1 was! Favorite Character(s): Kirishima Eijiro, Bakugo Katsuki

Sk8 the Infinity

I once saw an ad for Sk8 on YouTube and ever since then, I have been hooked! I really hope season 2 will come out, because I need more Reki in my life. Please someone talk to me about Sk8 because I love those boys so much. I need it like I need air. Favorite Character: Kyan Reki Fun Fact: I'm currently working on a multi-chapter fic that's Reki x OC and it's gunna be so sweet and fluffy because that boy deserves the world. (˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )

Food Wars

Okay, so I owned this game for literal years, but I never played it because it was gifted to me by my ex (never let an ex ruin your fun, kids). Then one day my friends asked me to play a multiplayer savefile and. I. Got. Hooked. Now I'm already planning on starting my third, personal modded save and with Update 1.6 sneak-previewed, I can not wait to play again!
