Trying to rescue old fic ideas I came up with at some point, like this “How I met your mother AU” where this guy’s kids (I think they were like 5 or 6??) asked him to tell them how he met their mommy as a bedtime story. I just wrote the first chapter years ago and never posted it…. But I was thinking that this idea would fit very well with Ben 🤔

RRARAAAAAAAAAUUAUUAAGHHHHH
#ITS 12AM AND I HAVE BIG EXAMS TOMORROW#and people are taking my lighthearted post far too seriously and claiming some pretty awful things about my intentions#???????? I'm just some 17 year old who thought housetrucks were interesting#and recognised that they're likely the only kind of accommodation I'd be able to afford once I'm an adult#like YEAH YOUR POINTS ABOUT ROMANI APPROPRIATION ARE VALID and I am willing to listen. I know its frustrating#but also I've looked into the history of housetrucks within nz and the people who first built them?#they just built them out of necessity. not to mimic or romanticise romani suffering. I can't find any mention of romani inspiration#I SPECIFICALLY included photos of NZ HOUSETRUCKS ONLY and not romani wagons or similar because#a lot of new zealanders live poorly and have to resort to that lifestyle. SOME new zealanders live in housetrucks just because they can#but I guarantee you it is a very small amount because they're extremely inefficient and dangerous to live in#the only reason I was posting about them with such excitement is because I'm ecstatic about maybe being able to afford a home before I'm 40#ranting about this in the tags and not in a reblog because goddd dude I don't want to look like some racist prick or something#to the person who reblogged the housetruck post with the stuff I'm talking about#if you're looking through my blog for whatever reason#I understand what you're saying but man that wasn't my intention at all#I'm a burnt out mentally ill IB student who made that post to cope with escapism#I didn't make it to erase romani lives or your culture I just made it because I need a hope for a liveable future#houses in new zealand usually cost over a million dollars I literally just want to look forward to living somewhere#warning bells in my mind right now please please don't twist my words it's 12am and I'm stressed out of my mind#god I feel awful I need to sleep#sick of being on the internet I am so so careful to be as respectful and careful as I can about topics#only to be accused of using gentrifying dogwhistles to appropriate a marginalised group of people ?????#for sharing photos of new zealand specific housetrucks and calling them 'kiwi culture'#I did not mean 'kiwi culture' as in 'invented by and owned by new zealanders'#I meant it in the same way that fish and chips are 'kiwi culture'. obviously we didn't invent either of those things. they just happen to b#a regular part of aotearoa life. RARHRHGHHH#fuck man I'm too worked up over this I never meant to be shitty or appropriate anything I just like housetrucks#I'm going to be a wreck tomorrow I'm too anxious to sleep#so sorry to anyone who bothered to read all of this#just needed. somewhere to put it

Kitakami Ink sounds cool! :0 Would he come from after everyone finds out the truth about Overton, or before? I know you aren’t including most canon characters, but I could see Ink figuring it out.
Well, since the Pokemon universe seems to have a thing for young protagonists, I'd say he comes from after everyone finds out the truth about Ogerpon. And heck, maybe Ink's the one who did it all. Where is Ogerpon nowadays? I don't know, maybe she's back on Kitakami waiting for him to come back.

It’s anon love week!
You’re a baby jiara/baby pogue master, and understand these characters on such a fundamental level on which I don’t even the creators do! Like pogue lyfe tshirt company is the pre canon that I will live and die by, and it gave me life as I was reading it, and so has everything else you’ve written! And the way you have Kie’s voice especially down pat, it’s so incredible, and absolute joy to read! You give her grace where she needs it and keep her accountable when she needs it too, a perfect balance! And the way you take the slowest of burns and make the reader be at the edge of our seat wondering if something will happen even when we know nothing will yet because it’s pre canon is such an amazing talent! And you’re so damn funny too!! We’re so lucky to have you!❤️❤️❤️
anon!!!! you are the absolute sweetest!! I'm not even sure how to respond to a compliment this kind!!
I guess I'll turn it around on you: you are a gem, a ball of sunshine, and I want to be your friend so badly. I literally can't get over how kind it is that you are taking the time to go through and leave these lovely, detailed messages in so many people's inboxes. it can be so easy to be so negative but you've taken it upon yourself to make so many people in this fandom smile and I'm eternally grateful for it. i'd give you a massive hug, if I could. the entire fandom is lucky to have you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Graveyard of Nightmares...
Hiyoko learns how easily wandering off the path in a world of dreams can cause the most horrific nightmares...This fan fiction was inspired by @labor9’s post about the hatoful characters meeting dead versions of themselves from different universes. Note:  Everyone will be in their human forms (Because I can’t write birds) Hiyoko shall also be described as my personal version of her.
Warning: This fan fiction contains extreme amount of spoilers, horror, blood, gore and murder, read at your own risk!!
Word count: 11,703 (Any grammar and spelling improvements shall be greatly appreciated)
"Woah! They're so fast! Did you see where they went Nageki?" Hiyoko asked the quiet green haired boy beside her. It has been around two minutes since Miru and Kaku ran off to the restaurant that The King said was dangerous with a flash of glitter.
"I think I saw two small children run off in that direction but, I’m unsure. It’s a shame that trail ended" Nageki answered, looking down on the dirt path behind them and at the star shaped glitter trail the two eleven year old hybrid children left behind.
"Let's go that way then!" Hiyoko said and Nageki shrugged in agreement before he began walking again. However, before Hiyoko could take a step forward she heard something:
"Nageki wait!" She shouted at once before going deadly quiet to see if she could hear the sound again.
But nothing....
"Strange, I thought I heard something"
"Could have been the crystals singing" Nageki said which did nothing but confuse Hiyoko so she looked at her shorter friend for answers. That’s when she noticed that he was looking up at the blue crystals up on the trees.
Oh right, they were in a crystal forest, she kinda forgot.
“We better hurry...That is if we don’t want the restaurant to have a temporary child meal on their menu" Nageki said, smirking at his own morbid joke even though Hiyoko gave him a frown, her green eyes burning into him.
"Come on" Hiyoko said with a roll of her eyes, but as she walked in front of Nageki, something within her knew that the sound she heard wasn't because of the crystals in the trees. It was something else entirely. She wanted to know what it was. Suddenly, like to answer her question she heard the sound again but this time it was a lot clearer.
This time there was no mistake on what it was:
"Some ones screaming over there!" She shouted to Nageki who turned to her immediately
"Are you sure? I didn't hear anything"
*SCREAM!!*
"There it is again!" Hiyoko breathlessly said now overwhelmed with terror. That scream, it was so haunting, it made her blood run cold, it sounded like one of those horrific agonising screams that you would hear in horror movies. Only this one was real:
 *SCREAM!!*
"WE HAVE TO HELP THEM!" Hiyoko shouted but before she could bolt off into the forest two set off arms wrapped around her middle and stopped her.
"NAGEKI?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
"I could ask you the same thing!"
"I'm going to help that person before they die like the king asked!"
"What person?"
"The one who is screaming Nageki, who else?! Now let go!"
"I don't hear anyone screaming!" Nageki shouted, his tone filled with a desperation Hiyoko hasn't heard before so she stopped struggling in his hold. After a few seconds, Nageki let go off her with a relieved sigh. But, Hiyoko could only look off in the distance with a frown. She heard a scream, she was certain off it. She wouldn't have imagined or misheard something so horrible.
"I don't know what you heard but we need to stay on the path" Nageki softly said "look, there's a path over there that leads in the direction you thought you heard the sc-" "-I didn't think anything!" Hiyoko shouted which made Nageki jump in surprise. But, Hiyoko wasn't going to apologise, she survived off her natural senses like her earring so she wasn't going to let anyone question them.
"Ok? But can we at least stay on the path? We don't know what is out there"
"Fi-"
 *SCREAM!!! SCREAM!!!*
"Fuck the path" Hiyoko said before she ran in the direction of the scream.
"No, wait! Miss Tosaka! Miss Tosaka, come back!" Nageki loudly pleaded, his voice now a terrified cry but Hiyoko kept running. She was going to stop whatever horrors at the restaurant the king told her and Nageki about. She was going to be the hero and save some ones life. She wasn't going to hang back and follow a silly path that would take too long. Because, the next victims shall be Miru and Kaku! They were only children, they were too young, innocent and cute to suffer like this bird was. After all, she had the strength and determination of a thousand warriors! If anything dared cross her path then she will make them regret it! Feeling indestructible, Hiyoko ran faster deeper in the forest until she saw a large log blocking the edge of the forest.
Ah! So, this was the first challenge was it?
It was too easy!
Hiyoko built up her speed and then she jumped over the log like a ballerina, just for her foot to catch on a branch which sent her crashing onto the ground head first.
"Ow" she cried lifting herself slightly up from the ground to give it a murderous glare. She then turned her body slightly to have a look at her trapped foot. It hung slightly above her between a branch and the log. Moving slowly and awkwardly, Hiyoko managed to turn on her back, lift herself up and get a hold of her foot so she could unhinge it from the branch. However, when she reached for her foot her movements stopped when she noticed something rather odd about her skin. It wasn't the normal tan brown but instead, it was a lighter colour, with grey markings that made her skin look old and wrinkled. Not only that but just above her knee where her school sock usually reached was a strange thick red line circling around it. She could only look at the two differences in confusion.
"It's just the lighting" she told herself out loud before looking up at the dim orange sky. Orange, the colour of a sunset. Science or any logical thought wouldn't probably agree but Hiyoko told herself that her skin looked like this due to the dim light. It was the only thing that calmed her so she could free her foot and stand back up.
That's when she struggled to process what she was seeing.
As there, in front of her wasn't the lush crystal forest but an empty wheat field. Immediately, she turned around but yet again she was welcomed by the field.
"Ok?" She whispered to herself looking around in all directions just to see the same thing over and over again.
"Looks like I don't have much of a choice, so forward it is" Hiyoko said with a determination she did not truly feel. With her heart hammering against her chest and her brain struggling to remember how to make her breathe, Hiyoko slowly walked into the long wheat and started her journey forward. After a few minutes, she opened her mouth to shout but her words got stuck in her throat when she heard something moving.
The sound was of something heavy and metallic being dragged across the ground. She froze when the sound began to slowly circle her like a shark.
"Who's there?!" She shouted, moving to stand tall and firm just like her father tort her.
"Come out and fight me like a man!....Or woman!"
She didn't get a response, instead the heavy metallic object just continued to circle her.
"I'm not scared of you!" She lied because of course she was scared. She was in a creepy wheat field, seeing nothing but the dried up grass that gave up on life ages ago with something circling her.
"Ry....Ryu?...Rh"
That something apparently had a robotic voice:
"Ry!"
Suddenly, Hiyoko was hit over the head, her body crashing down onto the floor yet again. Thankfully, she stopped her head from hitting the ground, as she gasped in pain. She then went on her hands and knees but before she could stand a foot hit her stomach, the powerful kick knocking her onto her back. The attack made her head spin and her vision blur. Coughing up blood, Hiyoko tried to push herself up but she only managed a pathetic twitch. But, no matter how pathetic the movement was, it was enough for her attacker to crush her windpipe with an impossibly heavy metallic foot.
Unable to breathe, Hiyoko looked up at her attacker just to see a horrific looking scarecrow with an blooded burlap face that had a twisted and evil smirk stitched in the material. It's body was all metal and gears, all of which had red wires tangling and looping between the small gaps. Slowly, the scarecrow bent towards her, it's gears and volts clicking and squeaking angrily in the process. Once close enough, the scarecrow pushed its foot down more onto Hiyoko's throat so she was forced to take shallow and deep breaths through her nose. It was then she smelt it, the smell of a decomposed corpse mixed with the sickening stench of dried blood.
"Y-y-you s-s-shouldn’t have c-c-come" Hiyoko could barely hear those words above the deafening sound of static the scarecrow was suddenly making as she clawed at the scarecrow metallic leg with a force that made her finger tips bleed. That’s when the scarecrow tilt it's head with multiple gruesomely loud clicks. Then came the sound of gears turning and the foot on Hiyoko's throat was slightly lifted. Not wanting to waste this opportunity, Hiyoko reached for the wires that tangled the scarecrow metallic legs and ripped them off their jolts.
 *SCREAM!*
The scream was a horrifying deafening sound that was filled with anger as Hiyoko quickly rolled to the side with her own angry growl, the scarecrow was terribly mistaken if it thought she was an easy prey, but even she knew that she was no match for a robotic scarecrow thing and so she ran forward.
"I need to leave this place!" she thought to herself as the dried and dead long strips of wheat hit her face, their sharp edges scratching her skin. She should have listened to Nageki; she should have never left the forest path! Wanting to return to her friend and the wonderful dream from before Hiyoko ran faster but that was a mistake as she could not see her surroundings due to the wheat smacking her in the face which meant she did not know about the gravestone in front of her until she did a very painful forward flip over it. Yet again, she landed on her back but this time, she did not land on the rough ground, no, her back landed on something solid and so she slowly sat up, feeling how her limbs ached painfully with each movement. Biting her lip to keep the cry in pain inside, Hiyoko looked down to take a look at the surface she landed on.
She was not expecting to see a dark oak board underneath her body.
“Wait” she whispered to herself, slowly turning around just too repeatedly read the name engraved on the cracked gravestone that had what looked like burn scratches:
Hiyoko Tosaka
At once, she jumped off the uncovered wooden coffin that had a single rose laying on top it’s name just to stare at it unmoving. What type of sick joke was this? Before she could rip the lid off the coffin to see if it was truly her corpse that lay within it she heard the now hauntingly familiar sound of something heavy dragging across the dirt ground.
Not wanting a repeat of before, Hiyoko looked around for an escape from wherever the hell she was, the only thing she saw was two large headlights speeding towards her before a loud toot and wheels of a train was heard. Reacting quickly, Hiyoko moved to jump off the train tracks she must be standing on, but to her horror, her right foot was trapped between two planks of wood. Panic driven, Hiyoko began to yank at her trapped leg as the train in front of her continued to come straight for her.
She didn’t even get to the fourth pull when the front metal pole of the train hit her head, but she was not killed by the impact, instead she was knocked onto the ground and felt all the poles, jolts and whatever else was underneath a train, scratch her flesh off, piece by agonizing piece until, one large metallic rod hit her in the head...
Everything went dark for a couple of seconds before Hiyoko blinked her eyes open, an action she wished she could take back. As there, in front of her, was the train from before sat behind her twisted, ripped and blooded corpse...Not believing what she was seeing, Hiyoko slowly took a closer look, but there was no denying it, the corpse was truly her. However, before she even got to process the sight, she heard the sound of something metallic being dragged across the floor. With her entire body shaking, Hiyoko hurried forward, trying to understand what just happened and trying to figure out if she was dead and a ghost. But, her instincts told her that if she was dead and a ghost then the scarecrow wouldn’t be hunting her still, but being alive after experiencing that, didn’t make any sense either.
“Just keep walking” Hiyoko said to herself, she could pretend that the last few seconds didn’t happen, she wouldn’t question anything until she met up with Nageki again. After all, he was smarter than her so he would no doubt come up with a logical answer.
*CRACK!*
With a loud scream Hiyoko jumped backwards from the gravestone that suddenly popped into existence in front of her. After she waited a couple of seconds to make sure the damn thing didn’t move again, Hiyoko walked past it with a confused frown, or at least she tried to walk past it, because even though her feet were moving to walk, she was not walking past the gravestone. With a frustrated growl, Hiyoko looked around just to notice that the strains of wheat were now to her shoulders, so she could see in the distance. She didn’t know if that was a blessing or not, as the amount of gravestones she saw in a silent and dried out wheat field was beyond creepy. Creepy, not terrifying, terrifying would describe the sight of the robotic scarecrow walking towards her, it’s burlap head now bleeding out blood and what looked like green liquid.
Not knowing what to do, Hiyoko’s body moved before she could even noticed it did as before she knew it she was running towards another gravestone. When she reached the gravestone, Hiyoko looked back at the other one with a smile, she then ran to another gravestone, then another, and another, gaining a good distance away from the scarecrow, until the whole ground underneath her vibrated stopping her in her tracks. Not being able to move due to the strength of the vibrations Hiyoko had no choice but to watch as gravestones surrounded her. However, there was one gravestone that offered a way out as it was a crumbled mess on the ground. Hiyoko walked to it, ready to easily step over it and keep moving forward, but to her horror, her foot landed straight onto the broken gravestone and not over it. Immediately, Hiyoko froze, her brain telling her that something terrible was going to happen just like before.
Struggling to breathe, Hiyoko slowly looked up just to spot an empty scarecrow post with what looked like a person in front of it a few meters away from her. Overjoyed by the sight of someone else, Hiyoko didn’t stop to think, she just ran forward with the hope of an escape.
“Excuse me! Excuse me, I need help!” Hiyoko shouted, now running through the wheat field with the force and speed of an angry rhino that snapped the long grass strands. She ran until she reached the post that was surrounded by short cut grass that was yellowed in age.
“You can’t possibly understand how happy I am to see someone else” Hiyoko breathlessly said, letting her body slouch in exhaustion as she walked to the person she saw in the distance with dragging feet, not bothering to look at the empty scarecrow post beside her. That was until she discovered that the person she saw was a mere statue, because now, feeling incredibly stupid for being drawn to just a stupid and easy trap, Hiyoko slowly turned to the scarecrow post fearing that the metallic scarecrow was now waiting behind her.
 But...
What she saw was something much, much worse...
As there, tied on the wooden cross, with each limb separated but still in the correct order was her own corpse. Her face was twisted in a horrific saddened expression, her glassy green eyes with huge black bags staring right into her soul. She didn't know why but Hiyoko looked up just to see that her head was expertly cut open, mocking her with the empty space that should belong to her brain, the sight of it was enough for Hiyoko to vomit. But, once her sick came out she noticed eleven dirty jars placed in neat rows underneath her corpse’s feet. With a shaking hand, Hiyoko wrapped one jar clean with her hand.
She was rewarded by the sight of a liver.
That's when her eyes flew to her corpse’s chest...
The ribcage was split apart, showing the empty space inside. Hiyoko wasn't the brightest blub in the shop but even she could figure out that all the missing organs her corpse lacked were inside the jars.
Suddenly, Hiyoko felt the edges of every limb itch, at first she thought it was her imagination, that her brain was so traumatised by the sight it was making her itchy. But then the itch became a burn. Wanting to know why this was happening, Hiyoko lifted her shirt up. Her eyes widened at the sight of a growing bruise on her stomach, a bruise she quickly realised was taking the identical shape of the stomach wound on her dead corpse. That's when she looked at the mark above her knee, then to the leg of her corpse. The cut and bruise was exactly the same. She then looked at her own dead eyes and noticed their colour, they weren't green at all. No, they were brown and blue with a reflection that only belonged to glass.
Hiyoko didn't know how long she stood there and looked at the sight, when she was suddenly grabbed by the throat and literally thrown on the ground just for her windpipe to be crushed by the same metallic foot as before. Hiyoko looked up at the robot scarecrow, it's bloodied burlap head still a horrific sight even now.
"T-t-this is wh-what we b-become" the stuttering static voice of the scarecrow told her before it slowly raised its arm to grab at the burlap sack and pulled it off.
Sat on a circular dish in a large glass jar was a bloodied brain that had red wires hooked into the meat which joined to the jolts and gears of the scarecrow.
"Th-this is no p-place for f-f-fanasty and r-romance...If y-you do not r-run now t-then you m-might as well d-dig y-your plot now" the scarecrow continued to tell her, lifting its heavy foot off her throat. Hiyoko then watched as it positioned itself in the iconic scarecrow pose that was identical to her cut up corpse on the wooden pole, all it's limbs and gears cracking angrily as it did so. Then, bloodied strips of flesh grew between the empty space of Hiyoko corpse skull and to the brain within the jar.
That was enough evidence for Hiyoko to know that this horrific scarecrow was somehow powered by her brain. That she was killed, chopped up, then her organs were removed from her body to either be held in jars or within the scarecrow.
"This...No! No! You're lying! I will never become this!"
"M-maybe not in t-this universe...But in another you will" Hiyoko listened as the static voice of the scarecrow slowly became her own. That's when she looked at the face of her corpse. The glass eyes were now staring at her, that's when the heads pale and blue lips slowly began to move:
"Look upon the field behind me and see how many deaths you are destined for within different universes"
For a brief moment, Hiyoko refused to do anything the other her said. However, soon enough, her curiosity got the better of her and she moved to see. She wasn't expecting to see so many gravestones. She stopped counting when she reached sixty.
"They can't all be mine"
"No...Some belong to others"
The thought of walking through that field of gravestones and possibly seeing her friends corpses made her feel sick. However, like to mock her with no other choice, a gate stood behind all the gravestones.
"I guess that's the exit" Hiyoko said but there was no answer so she looked back at the wooden post. Her corpse and the scarecrow were now still as a statue, the only movement was the dripping of the blood from the meaty strips of flesh that connected the scarecrows brain to the empty skull.
Hiyoko then looked back at the gate, nothing told her that was the exit but she had to try and escape from this place and right now, it seemed like that gate was the only option. Taking a deep breath and wiping the blood from the scratches on her cheeks, her run in the long grass apparently caused her, Hiyoko walked forward.
"No stopping and definitely no falling over. Just keep walking forward"
Hiyoko did just that for what seemed like an entirety when she suddenly realized that she was suddenly walking in one place again so she looked over her shoulder, by now the wooden post with her horrific corpse looked like an ordinary scarecrow. She then heard a loud crack in front of her, a crack she recognised from the popping gravestone earlier. The one that forced her to experience death by a train.
“See how many deaths you are destined for within different universes" that’s what the other her said, wasn’t it? That’s when an idea suddenly hit Hiyoko:
“What if I need to see my deaths in order to get to that gate and these gravestones are like the keys to see the deaths?” Hiyoko muttered to herself, moving to look at the gravestone in front of her. The gravestone that caused her to die from a train had burn marks on the stone. While the gravestone that caused her to see her chopped up corpse was smashed into pieces. While this one was like if it was that second gravestone before it smashed apart as the cracks on the stone were the identical shape of the pieces that were on the floor.
“This one must be in the same universe then” Hiyoko thought to herself, wondering why this place would show her the same universe twice before she suddenly realized that she had no idea how she became that god awful corpse or scarecrow. It was obvious to her that this place was giving her an option to see what happened and at first, Hiyoko’s answer was a no. That was before she felt her instincts quickly change it to a yes. After all, she was a hunter gather, she had to know the different ways she died. If she did then she would do everything in her power to fight to escape her fate. Plus, if that was the only way to get out of this place then she had to do it. Not for her, but for Miru and Kaku, she had to save them, they were only children, they did not deserve to be killed. With fear overwhelming her, Hiyoko touched the gravestone. This was a horrible idea, the scarecrow was horrific and the sight of her corpse chopped up on that pole almost drove her to insanity, and she didn’t know if she had the mental strength to see anything else.
“Hiyoko!” shouted a familiar voice that would usually fill her with joy and happiness but now...Now it just filled her with dread…
Was the gravestone beside her not hers but for her best friend instead? She didn’t have the bravery to look.
“Hiyoko!”
Knowing that she didn’t have another choice, Hiyoko turned to the direction of Ryouta’s voice just to see him lying on a white sheeted bed.
“Ryouta?” she asked in confusion, slowly walking towards him. He was laid on what seemed to be a bed in the infirmary at Saint Pigeonations. He looked awful, as white as a sheet.
“Are you ok, Ryouta?” she asked even though it was obvious that he was anything but alright. She made a mental note to one day give doctor Iwamine a piece of her mind. But for now, she should look after Ryouta, because vision or not, she always protected him. After all, wasn’t that what she promised when she found him out of his nest as a chick?
“Ryouta?”
Ryouta seemed to stir at that as he slowly blinked open his red eyes, then with a groan of pain he looked towards her. His usually bright blood red eyes were glassy and he looked extremely confused.
“Yeah, I’m fine now” he simply said as he slowly sat up, holding his stomach full of pain. Not liking how much he was struggling, Hiyoko reached over to help him out of the bed when suddenly, her windpipe collapsed into itself blocking air from entering her lungs. Wheezing in fear, Hiyoko grabbed at her throat, her eyes widening in the progress as she looked at Ryouta for help. But he only stood there watching her with a blank expression that didn’t change even when Hiyoko collapsed onto her knees, she clawed at her throat as she forced air into her crushed windpipe. That action caused agonizing pain to travel down her throat like if she had swallowed a burning toxin, crying tears Hiyoko grabbed Ryouta’s trouser leg as she hunched over. The movement of hunching over squeezed at her stomach causing Hiyoko to cough out white foam from her mouth. That’s when a horrific domino effect happened. It happened so quickly that Hiyoko struggled to progress it all. First, uncontrollable coughs repeatedly forced the white foam to travel up her windpipe, the liquid unforgiving as it scorched the inside of her throat. Then, Hiyoko entire body felt like if it was on fire, her entire flesh cooking from inside out. Then she felt tears come from her eyes, tears that caused her vision to blur.
When the pain overwhelmed her entire senses Hiyoko felt a hand go on top of her head, thinking that Ryouta was finally helping her, Hiyoko looked up and clung to his trouser leg tighter. However, his red eyes were still blank and he looked upon her like if she wasn’t truly there, that this wasn’t happening.
“Ryouta….I…I can’t breathe”
Hiyoko knew that was an understatement, but those words were all she could manage:
“Ry…Ryh”
“Goodbye Hiyoko, see you tomorrow” Ryouta spoke, before he gave her a gentle push. Unable to balance due to what she was suddenly experiencing, Hiyoko fell backwards onto the cold tiled floor. When she felt her back hit the floor, Hiyoko suddenly found herself stood in front of the image of her having a horrendous seizure on the infirmary floor, her body and limbs flying everywhere as her eyes rolled backwards. At that moment, Hiyoko’s eyes flew to Ryouta who simply walked out of the room in a casual way. Horrified that her best friend would leave her to die in just a cruel way, Hiyoko turned back to the image of herself. The seizure seemed to be truly unforgiving as now, her entire body was literally twitching off the floor as white foam ran out of her mouth to create a large puddle beside her head. Hiyoko covered her ears, she no longer wanted to hear the slamming sound of her fitting body but it seemed that she didn’t need to do that as with one final brutal jolt, her head threw itself upwards then it slammed onto the floor. A sickening crack echoed throughout the small and empty infirmary as Hiyoko watched as blood started to pool underneath her head.
But the expression on her corpse’s face...
It was a horrific saddened expression, the exact same one as the corpse on the pole...
So, this was how she died in that universe was it?
“But...How?” Hiyoko whispered to herself looking for another gravestone but instead, she turned to see her corpse on the bed Ryouta was once in with Yuuya leant over her holding a cleaver in his hand
“Make sure the cuts are clean, I do not want the pieces to be found in a messy state” Doctor Iwamine’s voice said from behind her
“I’m sorry, Mon Amie…I have to do this…I have no other choice”
“Yuuya NO!” Hiyoko shouted but her shouts were unheard as with a nasty and loud crunch Yuuya cut into the edge of her shoulder, he then buried the cleaver into her bone and sawed it through it to separate it from her body. Hiyoko could only cover her mouth in pure horror and disgust as the vision in front of her, watching as Yuuya slowly separated her limbs from her with too much skill and ease. The lack of blood told Hiyoko that her corpse was too old to bleed. When the cutting finished Hiyoko watched a emotionless Yuuya slowly place the first piece of her into a print box.
“Why?! Why would you do this?!” Hiyoko shouted at Yuuya, moving to stand in front of him with a rage she has never felt before but Yuuya simply walked through her like if she was a ghost.
Outranged, Hiyoko moved to grab Yuuya by the shoulder so she could give him a good right hander but her hands went through him and she was welcomed by the sight of Shuu Iwamine stood behind his desk with a brain in his elegant bony hands:
“Lay the chunks of meat neatly on the paper as if you are lying a valuable gift on wrapping paper, I shall return in a while, I have to do something with her brain. Do not try and disobey me unless of course, you want your precious brother to know of the innocent blood on your hands and the lies you have told” and with that the doctor walked out of the room.
What…What was he going to do with her brain? Like to answer her question, the scene in front of Hiyoko changed and she saw Shuu place her brain that was now in a perfectly cleaned jar into the robotic scarecrow she saw before, he then gracefully connected wires and bolts to her brain, once he was finished he covered the jar with a burlap bag and stepped back.
“Move” he ordered in a voice that left no refusal, and with a rusty and ear-perching squeak, the scarecrow slowly stood up
“Ah, perfect” Shuu spoke, his face twisting in a happy smirk as his toxic purple eyes flickered with a sickening joy
“Oh, I cannot wait to see Mister Kawara’s face when he sees what he has helped me make you into…What cruelty. To kill you by the means of a disease just to leave you there for me to use”
“No!” Hiyoko shouted clutching her head with her hands with shaky breaths, this couldn’t be true! There was no way Ryouta would kill her! No, the doctor had to have a part of her death; he must have somehow given Ryouta the disease. But, she did not get an answer to that as when Hiyoko looked up, she was welcomed with the sight of the dried, dead and yellowed wheat field yet again only this time, the grass was shorter and she was surrounded by gravestones. Struggling to keep her sanity, Hiyoko stumbled forward, not truly sure she could continue this path of literal nightmares.
“You can do this…You can do this” Hiyoko told repeatedly told herself reaching for the gravestone in front of her once more, her hand shaking so much it took all her strength to move it.
Her rough fingertips touched the dry stone, immediately the stone cracked under her touch and blood spilled out, creating a large pool on the floor, Hiyoko quickly hurried backwards not wanting her black school pumps to get ruined but then she heard an angry snarl behind her. Moving slowly, Hiyoko turned, behind her where she saw at least five arched yellow eyes staring back at her, recognizing those eyes from nights alone in her cave, Hiyoko looked down to see a blooded Jackal struggling to stand, it was obvious it was close to death and it family members were not happy with that fact. At that moment, one Jackal stepped out into the light, with its small but extremely sharp teeth on show, it’s yellow eyes filled with a uncontrollable rage. It then launched at Hiyoko, it’s weight pushing her onto the ground. Reacting to it within seconds, Hiyoko easily pushed the small canine off her. That’s when her left arm was grabbed by another pair of teeth, then another grabbed her hair and pulled down her head so quickly that Hiyoko couldn’t possibly react, once the back of her head hit the floor, another pair of teeth buried into her eyes. Screaming in pure agony, Hiyoko grabbed the Jackal by the throat, her powerful hands crushing its small windpipe with ease, when the canine stopped moving completely, Hiyoko threw it across the room with all her strength. She then blindly smacked the other Jackals away from her body, as she shuffled backwards to the cave wall she knew was behind her. Once she felt cold rock over her blue blazer, Hiyoko blinked her eyes repeatedly in hopes it would make her see again but all it did was make cold and thick blood or at least she hoped was blood, roll down her cheeks. Feeling emotions stronger than terror and pain, Hiyoko hurried to crawl out of her cave; after all, she didn’t need her eyes to know where the exit was. Just when she thought she was going to escape, two Jackals grabbed her ankles and dragged her back into the cave.
Hiyoko kicked at them, blindness with murderous animals was more terrifying than any robotic scarecrow...But her actions caused the Jackals teeth to bury behind her knees, their teeth easily slicing through her skin and nerves, before with a quick shake of the head, they ripped open skin, leaving gaping holes that leaked out rivers of blood...
Screaming, Hiyoko tried to curl into herself, but she couldn’t do that, as two other jackals grabbed the skin on her arms to tear it off with a shake of the head before bolting backwards with the speed of light just to repeat the action on her sides. Damning evolution for changing these once scavengers into fighters, Hiyoko blindly begun to defend herself but with no sight and only having her sense of earring, it was impossible for her to know where each separate Jackal was. The only hint she had was when she felt their agonizing nips on her skin that stripped her meat off her bones. But, she did not give up, she punched and kicked everything she could even though it did every little and by the time she felt exhaustion fill her every core, Hiyoko’s arms and legs had deep gashes of flesh missing, and her face was covered in claw and teeth marks. With the last bit of her strength, Hiyoko slowly went on her hands and knees, blood pooling out of her mouth and body to land in the large collection beneath her. Then using her hearing, Hiyoko launched herself in the direction of a Jackal. She grabbed it, forced it into her arms so she could crush it between her muscular arms, a loud yelp echoed through the cave before a mouth suddenly met her ear. With a quick head turn from the Jackal, Hiyoko’s ear was ripped off, she let it go and her throat was grabbed by another Jackal that shook their head with an experienced ease that ripped out her vocal cords leaving nothing but a gaping wound that shot out blood like a burst pipe. Hiyoko could only put her hands over the wound in a hopeless attempt to stop the bleeding but even she knew it was impossible.
 She has lost this fight...
This was how she died in one universe and this damnable place forced her to live through it yet again…
Hiyoko collapsed onto the floor, gagging painfully, her body twitching, her lungs squeezing painfully as they struggled to collect oxygen, each breath they did manage sending waves of agony throughout her body …
With one final breath, Hiyoko felt her consciousness fade but when she thought she was going return to the wheat field, Hiyoko was sat in front of where she was once lying, her green eyes glued to her torn apart corpse that had a growing pool of blood beneath it, watching as some of the jackals surrounding her lick their blood covered teeth and jaws, while the others pawed strips of meat off their teeth.
Before she could process, the sight, Hiyoko found herself back within the wheat field of gravestones and the only thing she could do was sit there breathless and shaking.
That…
That was so horrific…
Struggling to breathe, Hiyoko pulled up her blazer sleeves up just to see canine bite marks littering her skin. She then slowly touched her throat where her vocal cords were ripped out to feel small bumps of teeth marks. With her mind spinning, Hiyoko slowly forced herself to stand with sobs filled with agony when the muscles behind her knees throbbed angrily as she did so.
But she had to keep going...
She had to reach that exit, she had to and she has already told herself the very good reasons of why.
And so, with each separate step causing her horrific agony, Hiyoko limped to the closest gravestone, but then her legs gave in and she crashed onto the ground.
She...
She didn’t know if she could do this anymore...
She didn't know if she had it in her to experience another awful death of hers or to see what her corpse looked like afterwards...
With a pained sob, Hiyoko crawled to the gravestone, each movement, making her cry even louder in pain. With her mind spinning, Hiyoko gently touched the gravestone with one thought flickering through her mind, the thought of:
"Please don't be me again"
Immediately, the thought filled her with guilt and rage, not believing she would even think that.
“You think experiencing someone else’s death is easier than experiencing your own?!” screamed a voice filled with disgust and rage and for the first couple of seconds, Hiyoko thought the voice came from her own mind, that was before she felt the ground underneath her vibrate underneath her and the ground in front of her crumble into a hole shaped like a coffin, but instead of a coffin the hole was filled with pile blue, yellow, pink and white pills. Feeling utterly confused, Hiyoko could only stare at the hole, but then a hand popped out from the pile and grabbed her wrist. Screaming, Hiyoko tried to shake off the pale and thin hand but the damn thing wouldn’t let go! For an arm so thin and fragile looking, it had a strong grip:
“Let go!” she screamed
“You’re nothing but a coward!” Shouted the same voice as before, as blonde hair appeared from the pile of multi-coloured pills before a very familiar male crawled out from the pile but there was something different about the eyes of Hiyoko’s math professor as they were not the sleep driven dark brunette eyes she knew. Instead, these eyes were the colour of amber, Hiyoko then realized that Professor Nanaki’s face was not slender but instead was round with cute cheeks and wide innocent eyes.
“You are just like him! When the first method doesn’t deliver the result you wish, you force others to suffer more!” shouted the man, his voice not Professor Nanaki’s at all, it was too wobbly, too emotional, too high pitched, not at all low, sleepy and gentle with no emotion.
“No! No! That’s not true!” Hiyoko cried
“Lair!!!” yelled the man who looked identical to professor Nanaki even with his slight differences.
“NO! I didn’t mean what I thought! It...It was a mistake! A brief moment of weakness!” Hiyoko cried, she wasn’t a horrible person, she would never wish any of this upon anyone else.
It was a mistake, nothing but a stupid thought!
Hiyoko was going to argue her case when suddenly, amber eyed professor Nanaki body began to jolt and twist in an unnatural way as his beautiful amber eyes rolled back into his skull. Knowing that this was a fit, Hiyoko bent to try and help him but he was already forming at the mouth and his body was jolting so uncontrollably that any attempt to help him would only make things worse. And so, Hiyoko took off her blazer and placed it behind the man’s head just to watch in dismay as his head fell right through it and smacked onto the ground. But then, a glimmer of hope, the man’s body suddenly flipped onto its side and he began to cough out the form. The man then seemed to come back to reality as he slowly went on his hands and knees, put his index and middle fingers into his mouth so he could sick out a high number of pills.
“Oh no, now this won’t do” said another voice Hiyoko did not know, it sounded mocking and callous, in response she looked up to glare at its owner just for her eyes to widen in surprise. As there, stood behind the vomiting man, was the professor Nanaki she knew. He had the same bags under his eyes, the same sleepy smile and the same bronze skin. At that moment, Hiyoko looked down to the pale skinned man who was staring right at her in pure rage. That was before professor Nanaki grabbed him under the shoulders, dragged him backwards, lifted him up a little just to force a noose around his neck that was tied to the coat hanger on the wall
“Failing to commit suicide by drugs, Hitori Uzune hung himself...It’s a sad, sad story isn’t it?” professor Nanaki laughed mockingly as he tightened the noose, then moving quickly he let go off the other man who fell downwards, the noose cracking angrily as the man began to choke and gag as he struggled to get his balance under the dizziness his brutal fit had caused. Hiyoko crawled to help, the pain in her legs now forgotten, but her hands fell right through the amber eyed man.
“NO!! NO!” Hiyoko cried in devastation, as the man stared right into her soul as he clawed at the noose around his neck that was literally squeezing the life out of him. And even though he wasn’t saying anything with his mouth, Hiyoko knew exactly what he was communicating to her thanks to his burning amber eyes.
She knew that he was telling her that this was her fault.
That she was the one who wished to see another’s death.
“I’m sorry!” She cried to the man, watching as the noose tightened more around his neck the more he struggled.
“I’m sorry!” Hiyoko cried loudly with tears streaming down her face, clutching her hair with her scarred hands, digging her nails into the base of her hair, the knowledge that she wished for something so horrible threatening to overwhelm her with disgust and guilt...
How could she do this?!
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I don’t want this! Go back to my deaths! Please! Do my deaths again!” Hiyoko screamed in desperation. To hell with her mental health, anything was better than this! She wasn’t so horrible to want this! The last thing she wanted was to watch other innocent lives end in front of her like this!
“This is your fault” said the sleepy and gentle voice she recognized as Professor Nanaki, trembling, Hiyoko looked at him with wide horrified eyes.
“You wanted this”
“I...It was a mistake! I didn’t mean to think what I did! I don’t want anyone else to die! I’m not like you!” Hiyoko screamed in anger, regretting her words when the brown eyes of her math professor darkened to a blood red, his usual sleepy and soft features twisting into a terrifying rage.
Hiyoko has never looked upon a murderer before, but within that second, she fully believed that she was doing exactly that. Suddenly, a hand grabbed her shirt and she was pulled close to Professor Nanaki, the nerves behind her knees throbbing angrily as he did so:
“You speak like if you have not caused deaths yourself within another universe” he hissed at her, his voice low and dangerous.
“I haven’t! I would never-” Hiyoko’s sentence was interrupted by a harsh shove that sent her falling down a whole in the ground like if she was Alice going to Wonderland. However, unlike Alice, Hiyoko didn’t land in a wonderful world, instead she landed on something hard and metallic in a dark and tiled room.
“Ow” Hiyoko moaned in pain as she slowly sat up just to see that her uniform was now covered in brilliant red juicy liquid. If the colour didn’t tell her that it was blood, the smell of copper and meat certainly did. At that moment, she felt something snap within her at the sight and she curled into herself to let out a mighty scream, if the scream was filled with frustration or horror or both Hiyoko didn’t know.
“I don’t cause anyone to die... I don’t cause anyone to die” Hiyoko began to repeat to herself as she slowly began to rock in place, clutching at her hair, hoping the pain would keep her sanity she was beginning to quickly lose.
Anghel? No, no it couldn’t be, she hasn’t even touched a gravestone yet.
“Edelblau!”
“Edelblau!”
Won’t this damn place allow her a mere second to breathe and collect her thoughts? Why must it keep torturing her? What did she do to deserve it?
“Edelblau! The Dark spores have grown in number and strength! If I do not act now then Wallenstein’s dark magic shall overwhelm this place of learning and he shall continue to cause mass destruction! I must complete my destiny! I must declare war! What do you say?!”
Oh, Anghel...Why must he speak in just a confusing way? His speech was like a jixjaw puzzle that was shattered on the floor and it was your job to fit all the pieces together with no help what so ever. And so, Hiyoko looked forward to see a vision of Anghel standing in front of her standing tall and proud, but then she watched as Anghel looked down the school corridor, his one blue eye landing on the infirmary door.
Immediately, Hiyoko knew that this was going to lead to nothing good, it was obvious that Anghel was going to storm into the infirmary which no doubt lead to his horrible death. At first, Hiyoko opened her mouth but she quickly closed it. If she couldn’t do anything to help the other Professor Nanaki then she truly doubted she could do anything to help Anghel.
“Sure, go ahead” she heard herself say in a bored tone, her eyes widening in a shocked horror. Why would she say that?! Surely this version of herself knew how dangerous the doctor was!
“Wish me luck! I shall slay the dreaded sorcerer and free this place from the Demon spores!” Anghel shouted with a mighty voice as strong as steel. Seconds later, Hiyoko watched as Anghel literally kicked through the material of the infirmary door to dramatically jump through the newly created hole to stand firmly in place. That’s when Hiyoko watched as the school infirmary changed into a dark chemistry lab within a stoned room that looked like it belonged in a magnificent fantasy castle.
“Wallenstein!!” Anghel shouted, moving to dramatically to pull out the large white and red sword that was apparently attached to his back strap, as wings fluttered open behind him. One was a red feather wing of an angel while the other was a black bat wing of a demon. Even Anghel’s clothing changed, gone was his school uniform, as it was replaced by a grey tunic over black trousers.
“Show yourself, you villain! Your time has come! I am here to complete my destiny!”
“Hohoho~, destiny you say” Iwamine Shuu’s voice laughed mockingly, his deep and emotionless voice echoing throughout the stoned room
“How interesting”
“Stop hiding in the shadows, you demon! Show yourself to me!”
“Oh, but Higure, I’ve been behind you this whole time”
At that moment, Hiyoko watched as Anghel swung around in place, swinging his sword high and strong as he did so, all the powerful hit struck was an awaiting gloved hand that curled around the sword to hold it in a fierce grip.
“You foolish boy, this pathetic toy doesn’t harm me” Doctor Iwamine hissed angrily and Hiyoko couldn’t believe what she was seeing. The doctor was completely different. He had dark purple horns coming from his head, he wore a fitted dark purple tunic with a red waistcoat and white trousers.
“Impossible!” Anghel yelled in pure anger, his voice as loud as a bell, moving quickly to hit doctor Iwamine in the stomach with his knee, he then ripped his sword free and swung it, the movement as fast as a speeding bullet that Hiyoko was beyond shocked to see Doctor Iwamine dodge it with ease. Then with a evil smirk, the doctor backed away with a wave of his hand, within seconds Anghel was the victim of multiple glass jars hitting his body, their liquid burning through his clothes to leave crumpled burns on his skin. But yet, Anghel did not falter, instead he launched at Doctor Iwamine again, only this time, it seemed he actually planned his attack. He dropped his sword to launch at the doctor so he could knee him on the right side. Anghel then grabbed Doctor Iwamine’s hair to drag him to the nearest wall and with the strength of a bear, he smashed the other heads into the wall three times. But, on the fourth, Doctor Iwamine elbowed Anghel in the side, he then quickly flipped around and with one skilled swing of his arm, he sliced Anghel’s throat with a scalpel.
“Anghel!” Hiyoko screamed in worry, quickly feeling a huge relief when the cut was only a small cut and not enough to make him bleed to death, but, it was enough for Doctor Iwamine to shove Anghel away from him. The Doctor then hurried to wobble away from Anghel, who grabbed his hair again.
“You cannot escape me, Wallenstein!” Anghel shouted, throwing the doctor into his desk, who collapsed onto it with a wicked smirk.
“Escape you? Oh no, Higure, that is the last thing I want to do...But use you? Oh, what wonders I could do with a drop of your blood...Imagine, what I could do with your organs-” “Never! I will never aid your dark magic!”
“I’m afraid that you do not have a choice” Doctor Iwamine laughed, he then bolted to the left, Anghel quickly followed him just to run head first into a large black material that suddenly appeared with a loud scratching noise. Hiyoko then watched as Doctor Iwamine ran around with a painful hobble with his left hand holding the black material that was apparently attached to the roof, it was then Hiyoko realized what the material was, it was one of the infirmary bed curtains and the doctor was wrapping Anghel in it like if he was a birthday present. He then walked to his desk with an amused smirk on his face while Anghel struggled to unwrap himself from the curtain
“I forbid myself to be a victim of your sorcery!” Anghel yelled before he ripped himself free from the curtain with a small dagger, he then launched at Doctor Iwamine again, his hands gripping onto the doctor’s neck with a powerful grip that closed his windpipe.
“Go on, Anghel, you can do it!” Hiyoko cheered him on, but like to mock her words, she watched as Doctor Iwamine stab Anghel with his scalpel with perfect aim, digging it deep into Anghel’s heart. With his one eye widening in horror, Anghel dropped his dagger and clung to the doctor’s wrist and forced him to pull out the scalpel from his body, before he wobbled backwards, his hand flying up to the open wound.
“You think a simple stab shall stop me?!”
“Oh no, not with this silly thing” Doctor Iwamine chuckled throwing the scalpel on the ground, he then looked around the room to watch as the surroundings switched between the stoned room and the infirmary, as he and Anghel switched from fantasy clothes to their usual school attire.
“No! No! This cannot be possible! You can’t possibly have the ability to switch between realities!”
“This is not my doing, your hallucinate powers are simply fading due to your internal bleeding within your heart” Doctor Iwamine explained in a bored tone.
At that moment, Anghel’s expression switched from the brave and strong hero, to a terrified young boy. Struggling to breathe due to being so close to a panic attack, Anghel stumbled backwards but then his tunic was grabbed by a bony hand and he was pulled forward....
Straight into Doctor Iwamine’s cleaver, that ripped through his stomach, through his internal organs and out of his back. Now impaled, Anghel grabbed at the cleaver with shaking hands, his one eye watching as blood covered the weapon and pooled onto the floor, before he fell onto his knees as the illusion around him broke and he was back in the infirmary.
“Now, what should I do with you?” Doctor Iwamine muttered, grabbing Anghel’s hair to force his head up to make eye contact with him before a truly twisted smirk appeared on his face as his toxic purple eyes shined with an evil desire. He then moved to pull out the now blooded weapon from Anghel’s stomach, the movement so slow, blood pooled underneath Anghel’s knees. Once the cleaver was free, Doctor Iwamine gave Anghel a harsh shove making him fall onto his back on the ground with a loud thud, he then walked to his desk to search for something.
Meanwhile, Hiyoko watched a barely alive Anghel roll onto his side to try and crawl to the door, but with a gaping wound on his stomach, Anghel kept losing his balance and kept repeatedly falling onto the floor and into his own pool of blood. But, somehow, by some miracle, Anghel made it to the door, with a shaking hand he reached for the handle:
“Leaving so soon? But, I haven’t even begun the experiment yet” Doctor Iwamine laughed and Hiyoko watched as he grabbed Anghel by the ankle with both of his hands to drag him back across the room towards his desk.
“NO! NO! I shall not become ingredients for your sickening potions, Wallenstein!” Anghel screamed in anger, his voice so loud, Hiyoko wondered how noone could hear the racket, but no matter his refusal Doctor Iwamine kept dragging Anghel, to his desk where scissors and a clean scalpel was waiting.
“Time to shut you up!” Doctor Iwamine angrily said, grabbing a glass vial from his desk, then grabbed Anghel’s chin, forced the vial into his mouth and watched as Anghel’s tongue turned into a mushy mess. A mess that caused Anghel to choke and gagged horribly as he turned onto his side to spit out the small pieces of meat to clear his airways but before he could successfully manage it, Doctor Iwamine grabbed his shoulder and flipped him onto his back. Reacting quickly, Anghel punched the doctor, the impact strong enough to break his nose.
However, that only lead to Doctor Iwamine to look down at Anghel with a murderous rage while blood fell from his nose and into his mouth. Everything happened so quickly after that as Doctor Iwamine moved at a speed Hiyoko didn’t know he was capable of as he grabbed Anghel’s shirt, ripped it open and then with a sickening grin, buried his gloved hands into Anghel’s cleaver wound. Hiyoko watched in pure horror as Doctor Iwamine pull out Anghel’s intestinal tract, not caring that the movement was opening Anghel’s wound even more while the boy watched him with wide terrified eyes unable to make a sound and not willing to move when his insides were now outsides...
Doctor Iwamine buried his hands inside Anghel’s wound again when suddenly, Anghel entire body jerked up wards, his one eye landing on the smirking doctor above him
“I wonder who I need to thank for sending you to me” Doctor Iwamine asked with a wicked smirk and Hiyoko knew that the answer was her name, that she was to blame for this death...
Feeling an overwhelming guilt, Hiyoko slowly looked at Doctor Iwamine just to see him sat on top of Anghel’s dead body with his heart in his left hand, all of the arteries on Anghel’s heart had been roughly snapped off and blood covered the doctor’s gloved hand.
She then looked at Anghel’s face...
He was looking right at her, his one eye wide with terror and grief, his mouth open in a soundless scream and his chest and mouth covered in blood. With shaking breath, Hiyoko stumbled backwards, not believing that she was the reason for one of her friends to die a terrible death.
“I’m not a murderer” she told herself, glaring daggers at Doctor Iwamine, he was the one who killed Anghel not her, she had no part of it, it wasn’t like if she helped him or aided him!
She was not a part of this!
Right?
“I see. Hohoho, it wouldn’t do to have someone finding it and asking questions...I am indebted to you Miss Tosaka” Doctor Iwamine’s voice suddenly said, his deep and rich voice echoing around Hiyoko like a distant memory, confused, Hiyoko looked forward just to see the doctor sat at his desk holding a student identification card, looking at it with purple eyes that sparkled with an evil amusement. Meanwhile, Hiyoko gaped at the image of herself stood in front of the doctor as she felt anger build within her.
Was this version of her stupid?
Why would she give a lost ID card to the doctor, the man who obviously was involved in student disappearing!
“I never expected you to cause me problems after death, Higure” Iwamine muttered with a voice fill in distain once the image of Hiyoko left the room
“But, thanks to Miss Tosaka all the evidence of my involvement has now been destroyed. I wonder how I could possibly thank her for being a good assistant, hohoho” the doctor muttered, cutting up Anghel’s ID into small pieces
“After all, this is not the first time she’s been the reason for a death”
“What?!” Hiyoko screamed in horror, she’s been a reason for a death before Anghel? But how? And who, who could she possibly send to the doctor to get killed?!
“Yuuya is lying” Hiyoko heard herself say, watching as the image of herself stood in front of Yuuya and Iwamine, who looked at Yuuya with dark and cold angry eyes
“Shit” Yuuya whispered, already backing away from the doctor
“Thank you for your honestly, I am pleased that at least you are capable of it...But could you now please leave Miss Tosaka? I need to speak to Mr Sakazaki...Privately”
“Don’t you dare!” Hiyoko shouted at the image of herself, just to scream in anger when the image of her walked out of the room anyway.
She was truly stupid in this universe, wasn’t she?! You didn’t need to be Sherlock Homes to figure out that the doctor was going to kill Yuuya for whatever he has done. Why couldn’t the image of her lie and save Yuuya?
“Sakazaki, I am truly disappointed in you” Doctor Iwamine muttered picking up the same cleaver he used to slice into Anghel’s stomach.
“Because now, I will have to kill you and you have always been one of my most favourite and obedient assistants...It’s a terribly pity” Doctor Iwamine muttered walking towards Yuuya who, to Hiyoko’s horror, didn’t seem interested in fighting back. No, unlike Anghel, Yuuya closed his eyes and accepted death by closing his eyes with a sad smile....
Watching Doctor Iwamine slice Yuuya’s head off with one easy swing of the cleaver was truly horrific, but still, Hiyoko felt like if this death was too easy. All the pervious deaths have been worse than the last and Hiyoko knew that meant one thing...
That something far worst than sending a friend to die and helping the murderer cover his tracks was going to happen.
“No! NO! I don’t want to see! I don’t want to see!” Hiyoko screamed in dismay, turning her body this way and that to search for another gravestone so she could see another vision, feeling an emotion more powerful than relief when she spotted one in the distance. Moving quickly Hiyoko stood up and took the first step forward to run towards the gravestone when an excruciating pain shot up her right leg to travel throughout her entire body, the second step caused the same pain and Hiyoko crashed onto the floor.
“NO! NO! Work you stupid legs!” Hiyoko shouted, moving to stand back up, she then took one agonizing step after the other, cursing the Jackal death for leaving her with torn nerves behind her knees that made the simple task of walking so difficult.
“Oh, I sure do hope she enjoys you” Hiyoko heard Doctor Iwamine’s voice softly say as she made her way to the gravestone
“After all, I do not go to this much effort for just anyone”
Hiyoko knew that she shouldn’t look, that she should keep her eyes on the gravestone, but the sound of a strange ripping noise was a temptation she couldn’t ignore and so, she turned her head to see what was making the noise while she continued to walk.
The sight in front of her was so gruesome that she had no choice but to stop walking so she could vomit.
As there in front of her was Doctor Iwamine standing in front of Yuuya’s corpse that had a open chest with a meat knife in his left hand. The doctor then moved to skilfully slice of a piece off flesh from Yuuya’s corpse, once the piece was separated Iwamine placed down the knife and picked up a coating brush one would use for the icing for a cake, to coat it with what looked like a mixture of oil and butter. He then stepped to the side, to a plate that had sliced skin wrapped around a chicken bone that only had one piece missing. Using medical stitches that naturally dissolve in time, Doctor Iwamine stitched the flesh onto the bone which looked identical to a chicken or turkey leg with experienced ease. He then smirked at his work, turned to get something to only return with a perfectly sculptured chicken carcass that was obviously made with Yuuya’s flesh.
At this moment, Hiyoko decided to start walking again, but as she walked forward, her eyes didn’t leave the sight of Iwamine stitching the newly made leg onto the body of his homemade chicken corpse. Not wanting to know why the hell Iwamine would make a chicken out of Yuuya’s flesh, Hiyoko hurried to the-
“NO! NO!” she screamed in horror as soon as she looked forward.
The gravestone...
It was no longer there...
Forgetting to breathe thanks to her horror, Hiyoko spun in place repeatedly to find another gravestone. She didn’t want to be in this universe anymore! She did not want to see what happens next! Desperate for an escape, Hiyoko forced herself to run, the pain the nerves behind her knees unforgiving and brutal but she didn’t care.
She had to get out of here!
“OW!!” Hiyoko screamed when she fell over a wooden stool, thankfully the fall didn’t cause her that much pain or damage so she easily stood back up...
That’s when she felt something terrible crawling on her head.
“Get off!” she screamed, moving to claw at her scalp in an effort to remove whatever bug was crawling on her, realizing with awful dread that the bug was not on her head, but inside...
What felt like a small leg, touched a nerve on her brain and Hiyoko was suddenly standing. Her arms then moved on their own accord to stand up the stool she just knocked over, then Hiyoko’s body moved to sit on the stool in front her small circular dining table that had...
Which had...
A perfectly roasted chicken with slices of onion, carrots and cabbage sat on a beautifully red and white decorated plate.
Knowing what this chicken truly was, Hiyoko looked at it with wide horrified eyes.
No...
No way...
Suddenly, her arms moved on their own and her hands closed around an old pair of knife and fork that desperately needed replacing, that they used to cut into the flesh.
The sound of the flesh crunching, oh so perfectly under the knife, echoed throughout Hiyoko’s small cave. It was then Hiyoko use all her mental strength to try and stop the knife from separating the flesh but to no avail. Whatever was in her mind, touched another nerve and the piece of flesh was cut free from the others, before it was lifted up to Hiyoko’s mouth.
Refusing to be a puppet in this disgusting scene, Hiyoko looked at the knife in her hand and willed herself to drop the damn thing, the method worked and so, Hiyoko grabbed the wrist to the hand that held the fork and dragged it away from her mouth when suddenly a brutal electric shock wave travelled throughout Hiyoko’s body, causing her to lose her grip and within seconds, the fork was stuffed into her mouth and whatever was in her mind touched nerves that forced her mouth to chew.
The intoxicating and delicious taste made Hiyoko cry in grief and guilt as her hands moved to cut another piece of flesh off the bone, the sight of blood that doctor Iwamine probably injected on purpose only made things worst.
But yet, she was forced to take one bite after another.
She was forced to hear the sound of Yuuya’s flesh crunching and slicing...
She was forced to dig her teeth into him, the taste so sickening wonderful that at times, it caused her to forget what she was eating and feast upon the corpse like if she was a starving animal, until there was nothing left on the plate but two chicken leg bones and a pool of blood....
Hiyoko didn’t realize she had managed to drop the knife and fork until she heard them clanging onto the floor but even then she felt no relief...
As she had just eaten a friend and enjoyed the taste of him like if he was the non sentient rabbit she had preyed upon this morning...
“Ah....AHHH! YAAHHH! NO! NO, NO, NO!!” Hiyoko cried loudly at the top of her voice in dismay as she dug her nails into her own throat, using them to cut into her own flesh but then she realized there was no point of that.
It was already too late to stop the flesh of Yuuya from sliding down her throat, and if she wanted him out, if she wanted to undo her sin, she had to either sick him out or dig him out. Immediately, Hiyoko grabbed the knife, stood up, and stabbed herself in the stomach to rip open the flesh to make a gap big enough for her hands.
She had to get Yuuya out!
She refused to be some savage who enjoyed eating others!
“Yuuya has to come out....He has to come out, he has to come out, he has to come out...” Hiyoko repeated in desperation, her mind only focusing on this fact alone.
But while the knife she used was perfect to cut Yuuya perfectly cooked flesh, it refused to do any damage on her rough and uncooked skin.
“NO! NO!” Hiyoko screamed, throwing the knife into the wall before she dropped to her knees, clutched her hair and screamed.
Her horrified and saddened screams echoed throughout the cave, and so did her loud sobs when she began to cry
“I didn’t mean to... I didn’t mean to... I didn’t mean to! I had no choice!....I had no choice” Hiyoko whispered between loud desperate and grief filled sobs as she begun to rock in place.
 She couldn’t do this anymore...
She couldn’t possibly see another death after this...
Crying, Hiyoko laid on the floor and admitted defeat.
She was not the strong warrior she thought she was, she didn’t have the mental strength to do this anymore...All she wanted to do was lay here and wait until death comes...
That would be a lot easier than continuing her walk through the Graveyard of Nightmares alone...
