OLD HABITS DIE HARD

Revenant’s mechanical body doesn’t need to sleep, but his human mind still needs REST. he doesn’t have a sleep schedule and he’s not even sure that what he does is sleeping, exactly, but every now and then, mental exhaustion catches up to him and he ‘rests’. it’s similar to a computer’s sleeping in that just a minimal amount of power keeps his systems going, but most of his body’s lights are off, including optics - again it’s pretty hard to tell the difference, outwardly, between unconsciousness / sleep / an empty shell.

if he’s unlucky, he’ll still dream sometimes.

and his need for rest is super random. a lot of the time, when it hits him, Rev has no idea when the last time he ‘slept’ was because he just doesn’t keep track. he’ll just keep going until he feels ‘tired’; sometimes that’s after 24 hours, sometimes 36 hours, sometimes it’s not for days. usually he ‘sleeps’ for anywhere between 10 min to 10 hours at a time.

of course he doesn’t tell anyone this happens. most people assume he doesn’t sleep, and he’s fine with that.

and sometimes when he wakes up, depending on where he is, he’ll go about a ‘normal’ morning routine before catching himself.
