#I can’t believe it #I spoke too soon #the vet finally called back w/ the results of her bloodwork and everything related to her kidneys is horrible #they recommended hospitalization for a few days #$1000 for hospitalization at their place which isn’t 24/7 and is the equivalent of boarding #the only options being hospitalization at a 24hr animal hospital in Long Island of all places #or learn to give her fluids at home #I’m so upset #I chose the third option obviously but I want to scream #the vet was sympathetic but I still feel guilty #like I’m providing her the best possible care by just immediately paying a chunk of rent to a hospital stay #and ofc I felt even worse telling my husband #he agreed with my decision to give her fluids at home but I know it’s just another piece of work for him another piece of added stress #that he’ll keep locked up inside him instead of telling me
