I know all my things are lowkey shippy, but- Them being friends first and foremost is the most important thing to me. Could this be one year in their relationship? Like. Looking at this chronologically I didn't plan it that way, but now... I feel like this could be its own story of Jaskier, finally telling Geralt that he's in love with him and Geralt... turning him down. It isn't that he isn't reciprocating but. Jaskier deserves someone gentle and kind and happy, and he is not.
