God “opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” The LORD our God dwells with those “of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite” (Isa. 57:15). True greatness is found in outside of the self, beyond the instincts of the carnal ego. Those who seek to exalt themselves and to "gain the world" do not understand that the very reason for their life is to be sacrificed for the sake of love. Obeying God's call to love is not a burden, but rather sets the heart free. As Yeshua said, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matt. 11:28-30).

Yo-kai watch tier list (the grand remaster nobody was waiting for!)
In honour of Autism Acceptance Month, I will scream about my interests on this site like a hyper toddler even harder.
So why not do a tier list? I like tier lists. I did a tier list for the first (and I think the second) game, but I'm going to redo it since my opinions have changed! I think!
Do I have the patience to wait for the tier list maker to let me download the image? No, so I'm going to screenshot it piece by piece.

Let's start at the top with my favourite yoke guys, yoke gals and yoke pals. Do you notice a theme? Because I think I do.
I was going to go through why I like each of them, but that takes too much time. So I'll just summarize it.
I love most of these yo-kai for nostalgic reasons (Blandon, Venoct, Snee, Skellabella, Skreek).
The anime (Dazzabel, Dimmy)
Either using them in the game or seeing them in game. (Cadin, Chansin, Hidabat, Kybi, Dancing Trio, Walkappa, Corptain)
I always found Blandon and Venoct extremely badass, I have good memories of trying to befriend Skellabella in the first game, and using Corptain in Psychic Specters. I always thought Snee was cool but never got the chance to use him.

This is the great tier, a.k.a the nostalgia tier.
I like most of these guys because of, well, Nostalgia of being in the games or anime or having an important role in the story somehow. And the odd ones I just think are cool.
My favourites from this tier are Casanono, Casanuva, Hungramps, Komajiro, Pandanoko, Ratelle, Robonyan and Shogunyan.

I know you can't see it, but this is the Good tier. I don't have many nostalgic memories, but they're good enough to be not neutral or lower.
Again I like some of these guys for the nostalgia of using them, like Count Cavity, Pookievil, Scritchy and Tengu.
I like most of these guys because they're good.
But I like yo-kai like Sandi and Pinkipoo because the yo-kai watch comic Fade to White.
And Dulluma and Coughkoff are up here because writing them in my story Yo-kai Watch: Horribly Explained made me appreciate these guys a little more.

This is the neutral tier, I'm neutral to everyone here so no special stories really. They're good yo-kai, but I don't have any reason to move them up or down.

Now, let me explain. This tier is for the yo-kai I didn't know existed in the first game (Beetall, Dummkap, Mad Moutain and Lava Lord, the Rhinoggin evolution and recolour, I don't remember their names and Zerberker)
But it's also for the yo-kai who aren't in this game like Furgus, Ferdinand, Melonyan and Sandmeh. I'm like 80% sure they're not in the first game.

WAAAAUUUGH i'm so glad you like her 🥺!!!!! i did draw her a while ago and i hope to draw her and the new crew again (and properly get a feel for the concierge bc so far i've been focusing on the gals haha). ngl i'm a little unsure of how the fandom feels abt my take on her bc most ppl seem to view her as a little gremlin type character which is 100% valid, but for me i thought it would be fun if her and the lobby boy were Yoked As Hell. the difference is that the lobby boy perceives himself as weak (at least at first, although he grows into himself more as the series goes on) whereas hoppy is well aware that she could break someone's entire arm off with a gentle tug lol................

It is I, Paul, who am telling you that if you have yourselves circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you. Once again I declare to every man who has himself circumcised that he is bound to observe the entire law. You are separated from Christ, you who are trying to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For through the Spirit, by faith, we await the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, inside you are filled with plunder and evil. You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you."

HEARING TEST
“At the judgment, the citizens of Nineveh will rise along with the present generation, and they will condemn it. For at the preaching of Jonah they reformed, but you have a greater than Jonah here.” —Luke 11:32
When Jonah spoke, 120,000 wicked Ninevites listened and repented (Jon 3:10; 4:11). When Solomon spoke, the queen of the south “came from the farthest corner of the world to listen” (Lk 11:31). When Jesus speaks through the Church, in the Mass, through the Bible, and in our families, do we listen? How many of us are devoting ourselves to the apostles’ instructions, that is, the teachings of the Church? (see Acts 2:42) Are we reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church? Do we bother to find out what the Pope is teaching? Do we receive Jesus and His Word at Mass as much as possible? Do we use One Bread, One Body to help us sit at Jesus’ feet and listen to His words at daily Mass? (see Lk 10:39) Because we take the Bible “not as the word of men, but as it truly is, the word of God” (1 Thes 2:13), do we make time to read the Bible daily? Are we open to the Lord speaking to us through our family and the people we see each day? Is there any subject that we will not allow even God to mention to us?Ask the Lord for the grace to listen to Him in your most difficult circumstance. Repent and feel your spiritual ears open. Deny yourself and hear Jesus’ words: “Blest are your ears because they hear. I assure you, many a prophet and many a saint longed to...hear what you hear but did not hear it” (Mt 13:16-17). “Let him who has ears heed the Spirit’s word” (Rv 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13, 22).Prayer:  Father, may I hear that You are Lord alone, and may I love You with all my heart (Dt 6:4-5).Promise:  “It was for liberty that Christ freed us. So stand firm, and do not take on yourselves the yoke of slavery a second time!” —Gal 5:1Praise:  When Jonathan truly heard the Word of God speak to him, he became a new man in Christ.

And remember, survivors are promised by the end of that day.
Because: "Jehovah knows how to rescue people of godly devotion out of trial,
but to reserve unrighteous people to be destroyed on the day of judgment, especially those who seek to defile the flesh of others and who despise authority." 2 Pet. 2:9, 10.
But, as you recall,
tragically, individually, destruction will a majority slay for disloyally siding against our Maker and Christ Jesus
who provided a marvelous ransom for 'obedient' mankind.
By a 'spirit of the world' they chose to be sadly swayed:
"But according to your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath and of the revealing of God’s righteous judgment." Rom. 2:5.
Yes, "there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you.
These will quietly bring in destructive sects, and they will even disown the owner who bought them,
bringing speedy destruction upon themselves.
Furthermore, many will follow their brazen conduct,
and because of them the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively.
Also, they will greedily exploit you with counterfeit words.
But their judgment, decided long ago,
is not moving slowly,
and their destruction is not sleeping" 2 Pet. 2:1-3.
For: "These are waterless springs and mists driven by a violent storm,
and the blackest darkness has been reserved for them.
They make high-sounding statements that are empty.
By appealing to the desires of the flesh and with acts of brazen conduct, they entice people who have just escaped from those who live in error.
While they are promising them freedom, they themselves are slaves of corruption;
for if anyone is overcome by someone, he is his slave." 2 Pet. 2:17-19.

So: "Be as free people, using your freedom, not as a cover for doing wrong, but as slaves of God." 1 Pet. 2:16.
"Stay awake, stand firm in the faith, carry on in a manly way, grow mighty." 1 Cor. 16:13.
They all abandoned him and fled.​—Mark 14:50.
How did Jesus treat his apostles when they were temporarily in a weakened condition? Shortly after his resurrection, Jesus told some of his followers: “Have no fear! Go, report to my brothers [that I was raised].” (Matt. 28:10a) Jesus did not give up on his apostles. Even though they had abandoned him, he still called them “my brothers.” Like Jehovah, Jesus was merciful and forgiving. (2 Ki. 13:23) Likewise, we have deep concern for those who have stopped sharing in the ministry. They are our brothers and sisters, and we love them! We still remember the labors of love that those fellow believers performed in the past​—some perhaps for decades. (Heb. 6:10) We truly miss them! (Luke 15:4-7) So encourage inactive ones to attend the congregation meetings. In America we love freedom above all. From the beginning of time powerful men have been stealing it or tricking us out of it. Here is what the apostle Paul had to say about freedom. Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. 2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." Paul used circumcision here but this can also apply to any teaching that puts love aside for a rule imposed by man. Gal 5:13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. You are free because Christ has made you free. You are free because [Eph 2:8 ESV] 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, Many voices will tell you what other things you must now also do. God’s grace is sufficient, it is more than enough.
Your freedom is never to be used to serve your flesh. Sin always leads to bondage. Christ set you free to serve others. Stay free. [Jhn 8:36 ESV] 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I’m not enjoying all the freedom you’ve purchased for us. Though you’ve already freed me from the arrogance of trying to earn and maintain a relationship with God, and the anxiety of wondering what God thinks about me in any given moment; and though the chains of condemnation have already been broken and my fear of death and Judgment Day have been eliminated—I’m still not as free as you intend.
Jesus, please free me for being less aggravated, more often, with fewer people. Turn my hair-trigger reactions into slower, kinder, wiser responses. Help me use fewer words and more listening when engaging others. Unshackle me from the illusion of control and my commitment to a pain-free heart.
Jesus, please liberate me from thinking about the next thing(s), so I can be present in the current moment. Help me make better eye contact and heart connection with others. Help me to be more intrigued with people I don’t know and less timid around strangers.
Jesus, break even more of the chains of my lingering insecurities and self-doubts. Help me throw off the grave-clothes of shame and feelings of incompetency, about important things in life. Smash my “triggers,” heal my heart wounds, and free me from any residual roots of bitterness.
Jesus, please free me for greater spontaneity, louder laughter, saltier tears, and quicker repentances. Grant me a larger heart for loving the lost, having mercy on doubters, and running after strays and prodigals. May my wife feel cherished and pursued, and my kids feel desired and loved for who they are. So very Amen I pray, in your most compassionate and tender name.

"And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying... “Blessed are the lowly and humble, for they shall inherit the earth” (Matt. 5:5). Those conscious of their inner poverty, who mourn over their sinful condition, and who are afflicted with themselves, can let go of the need to “manage appearances,” to be in control, or to seek validation from others, and therefore they are free to surrender their lives to God’s care. They “flow” with the Father’s will as a “gentle breeze,” no longer resisting or striving, but simply trusting in God’s care. When they are wronged, they seek neither revenge nor vindication, but only healing and restoration (1 Pet. 2:23). Paradoxically, it takes strength to be genuinely “lowly of heart,” but such is found in the Spirit of God (Zech. 4:6). Indeed, the Spirit leads us to our inheritance: “the humble shall inherit the land and delight themselves in great peace” (Psalm 37:11). The fruit of the Spirit is the outgrowth of God’s miraculous life with us, and we partake of that life when we live in Yeshua (John 15:1-5; Gal. 5:22-23).
God “opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” The LORD our God dwells with those “of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite” (Isa. 57:15). True greatness is found in outside of the self, beyond the instincts of the carnal ego. Those who seek to exalt themselves and to "gain the world" do not understand that the very reason for their life is to be sacrificed for the sake of love. Obeying God's call to love is not a burden, but rather sets the heart free. As Yeshua said, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matt. 11:28-30).

once i return to my Task Of Translating Schulz project & break it into a three-chaptered monograph (Theory/buber-rosenzweig bible/benjamin/new edition in english + russian + ukrainian) i need to yoke the combination of nora gal' soviet-school translation re: "cleaning up" repetition in "messy" texts / smoothing the "harshness" of foreign-import words into "elegant" slavic-root equivalents (a mode of interpretation, but also, in schulz's case, a *mis*interpretation of his poetic project that borders on bowdlerization) WITH paratextual backshadowing, by which i mean the russian collected stories are published under the title "уцелевшее" & the cover illustration is a warm-hued cityscape inscribed inside a star of david against a cool blue background, schulz's texts explicitly positioned as the "surviving remnant" of a man who did not survive, & it's classified as "jewish literature."

Psalm 31 6I hate those who worship worthless idols, but I trust the LORD. 7I rejoice and take delight in Your kindness — You see my misery and care about me in my troubles. David hates those who worship worthless idols because the LORD hates those who worship worthless idols. The Law of Moses calls for their destruction. When we are unrepentant and don't trust the LORD, He hates us too, for that is all we can experience of the LORD in that state. Even in the New Testament, Paul writes in Romans 14:23, “Anything that is not an act of faith is sin.” I know you want to say, “But God is Love.” That is true. God also is holy and righteous. His holiness and righteousness cannot tolerate sin. If you want to see how much God hates idolaters and sinners, just look at Jesus Christ on the Cross. That is how the LORD thinks and feels about those who sin. The crucifixion of Jesus is also a demonstration of His great love for us that He would send His only-begotten Son to experience in our place what our sins deserve so we wouldn't. That of course is a good reason to trust the LORD as David does. The sacrifice of the only-begotten Son is a demonstration of the kindness of the LORD we should delight in. The LORD saw our misery and troubles caused by our sins and He cared for us. He provided a remedy for us to escape the eternal wrath of God. Anytime you doubt God cares for you or isn't kind towards you, look at Jesus Christ crucified. There you will see how much God cares for you and has been kind towards you. 8You haven't surrendered me to the enemy, but You have set my feet in a place where I can move freely. Indeed, the LORD has not surrendered us to the enemy. Our enemy is sin, death and the devil—an unholy trinity. He has set our feet in a place we can move about freely in the grace and love of God. Paul has written in Galatians 5:1, “Christ has freed us so that we'll be free. Stand firm, then, and don't get caught again under a yoke of slavery.” Gal. 5, “13Christ paid the price to free us from the curse of the Law when He was cursed for us...” We need not walk in fear of the wrath of God. We don't need to walk about in fear of the devil and all his works against us. We are the LORD's. Through faith in the kindness and care of God our Father showed us on the cross of Christ, we walk about in our baptisms in the freedom of His grace, love, kindness, mercy and forgiveness. Should the devil try to entrap us with our sins through accusations, we can simply tell him he is correct, we are sinners, but we are forgiven sinners. Should we give in to sin, we need not wallow in our guilt and shame. We expose it to the light of Jesus Christ in all humility and find our forgiveness in His nail pierced hands and feet, the stripes on His back, the blood coming from His thorn pierce head and the wound from which flowed water and blood. Christ Jesus is the place we can move freely having been baptized into His suffering, death and resurrection. O kind and merciful LORD, give us Your Holy Spirit that we may hate our sin and turn in faith towards You Son, Jesus Christ and in His wounds know your love, care and kindness towards us. Freedom
“Moral freedom is the greatest gift of God, distinguishing man from all other living beings. Freedom consists in that man is not bound by the need to act one way or another: He is given the right to freely submit to the will of God, or, in other words, the moral law. But man can always—and this always completely depends on him—not submit to the will of God. He can live according to his own will and discretion, but in this case, he falls away from God, separating from Him as the source of light and blessedness and falls into the depths of evil, darkness, sorrow, and constraint.
Freedom that is oriented towards evil is not true freedom, but an abuse of freedom, a perversion of true freedom.
Perhaps you would like to ask me: And where is the true freedom of a Christian? I will gladly answer. But I won’t give my answer, but that of the preeminent apostle—the divine Paul. He says: Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Cor. 3:17). Therefore, he advises and commands us to unflinchingly maintain our true freedom: Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Gal. 5:1). If freedom, in the words of the apostle Paul, is where the Spirit of the Lord is, then clearly the first condition of true Christian freedom is sincere and unfeigned faith in God and life according to the Divine commandments. If you, beloved brothers, believe in Christ the Savior, your Redeemer, with all your heart and soul, if therefore the Spirit of the Lord is upon you, then know that you are already free. Moreover, such a Christian senses the unspeakable depths of his freedom in his very heart. He freely and joyously walks in the footsteps of his Savior, he believes in Him, he loves Him, he lives by the word of the Spirit of God, and where the Spirit of God is, there is true freedom.”

The LORD said to Elijah: “You shall anoint Elisha, son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah, as prophet to succeed you.”
Elijah set out and came upon Elisha, son of Shaphat, as he was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen; he was following the twelfth. Elijah went over to him and threw his cloak over him. Elisha left the oxen, ran after Elijah, and said, “Please, let me kiss my father and mother goodbye, and I will follow you.” Elijah answered, “Go back! Have I done anything to you?” Elisha left him, and taking the yoke of oxen, slaughtered them; he used the plowing equipment for fuel to boil their flesh, and gave it to his people to eat. Then Elisha left and followed Elijah as his attendant.

I say, then: live by the Spirit and you will certainly not gratify the desire of the flesh.  For the flesh has desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you may not do what you want. But if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

When the days for Jesus’ being taken up were fulfilled, he resolutely determined to journey to Jerusalem, and he sent messengers ahead of him.  On the way they entered a Samaritan village  to prepare for his reception there, but they would not welcome him because the destination of his journey was Jerusalem.  When the disciples James and John saw this they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven to consume them?”  Jesus turned and rebuked them, and they journeyed to another village.
As they were proceeding on their journey someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”  Jesus answered him, “Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head.”
And to another he said, “Follow me.”  But he replied, “Lord, let me go first and bury my father.”  But he answered him, “Let the dead bury their dead.  But you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”  And another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but first let me say farewell to my family at home.”  To him Jesus said, “No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the kingdom of God.”

PLOW-SHARE
“Elijah set out, and came upon Elisha, son of Shaphat, as he was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen.” —1 Kings 19:19
Elijah called Elisha to become his disciple while Elisha was plowing. This is not an insignificant detail. When Jesus called one of His disciples, He spoke of discipleship as putting one’s hands to the plow (Lk 9:62). Being a disciple is like plowing. Disciples have the power to break up hard ground and hard hearts in a hard, hardened, and hardening world. Without the disciples’ plowing, there won’t be much of a harvest, no matter how much seed is sown and no matter how much work is done. Jesus, before His Ascension, commanded us to make disciples of all nations (Mt 28:19). This entire world needs to be plowed and then sown and harvested. We will never win the world for Christ until we plow the world for Christ. Therefore, Jesus’ disciples must start plowing and keep plowing without looking back, or they are unfit for the kingdom of God (Lk 9:62). Plowing is hard work with hard ground, and the first field we must plow is the field of our own hardened hearts. Repent and plow! Prophesy and plow! Pray, preach, and plow! Work, suffer, and plow! Love, die, and plow! Be a disciple; make disciples; plow!
Prayer:  Father, as the sweat pours down my brow, may I plow and keep my eyes straight ahead, focused on You.
Promise:  “The flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; the two are directly opposed.” —Gal 5:17
Praise:  “They killed Him, finally, hanging Him on a tree, only to have God raise Him up on the third day and grant that He be seen” (Acts 10:40). Praise the risen Jesus!
