Marchil March 2024!

A ship week event for the Dungeon Meshi pairing Marcille x Chilchuck! It will run from Monday the 18th to Sunday the 24th, in about a week.

The themes for the days are:

Explosion / healing

Fairytale / role swap au

Fashion / modern au

Hair / race or species swap au

Teasing / genderbend au

Gifts / date

Free prompt / food

You’re welcome and encouraged to put a twist on the prompts, pick either of them on any given day or mesh them both into the same piece, stick to them as much or as little as you want. For example, the race swap prompt mainly refers to elves, half-foots, etc, but you could just as well use it to draw them as cats if you’d like! There are essentially no rules, this isn’t inktober and there’s no pressure, feel also free to make things for it in advance rather than day to day. This is a ship week, but feel free to depict them in a platonic or queerplatonic way rather than romantic as well! This week is to celebrate them as a duo, and every work is welcomed: fanart, writing, edits, anything. Join the festivities!

yet another oc that only exists because i wanted to write something very specific

(middle is a little older, hence her scar healing. i like to think she gets a glass eye at some point)

anyway this is mira! (they/she) since that wip is almost 20k words and counting i won’t give away too much but long story short she’s the result of meta going “one last time, i promise” and adopting yet another kid

also galaxia kinda indirectly picked the name :)

i’ve mentioned before that i headcanon that pretty much all astrals are autistic and this is just kinda an extension of that. whereas meta tends to suppress his emotions and conform to others, mira…doesn’t. she gets uncomfortable and upset and lashes out at people easily, and working through their emotions is no small task.

the main reason i chose to write them that way was for the sake of narrative but i’ve grown attached to it because there’s a lot of ideas there i’d like to explore. stuff about navigating emotions and relationships when existing is so suffocatingly uncomfortable. it’s not something i could center around Kirby himself, but i think it makes sense with a post character development meta knight.

they are very loved (omg oldee cameo???)

kirby was definitely very excited to have younger siblings after being used to being the youngest in the room for so long!! (with the like. one and only exception being gooey.) he’s super affectionate with both of them and wants to have a close relationship one day, but for now mira is pretty unappreciative of that fact lol. they don’t like being pestered for hugs

everyone else is okay tho

(i know that’s hard to read. oops. “obvious bite marks”. siblings being siblings.)

mira also has a very love/hate relationship with the egg kid, being so close in age they kinda Have to get along but in typical sibling nature they also fight a lot. sure it’s probably rough for a while but i think in the end they’d be good buddies. maybe not as close as Kirby and Bandee but still.

anyway i have a lot of thoughts and am very busy but. i’m really enjoying writing about all this lately it’s been fun ^^

#I picked a name and then proceeded to write a comic in pen in which i used that name and posted it #and only after all that did i learn that mira is becoming a very popular name. which i generally avoid #but oh well. it’s stuck #im gonna be completely honest a lot of how i pick names for characters is based off of how many puns i can make out of it #im sorry to disappoint you with that information /j #kirbyposting #my art or something #meta knight #kirby #king dedede #metadede #Kirby oc #semi future au #I swear i’ll introduce oldee one day im just bad at having drawing ideas #also trying very hard to not make self deprecating comments over some of this art cause i just. don’t really want to spend forever redrawing #stuff anymore. like I used to do for a lot of these posts. Tlou2 spoilers

It’s a bit upsetting they’ll be taking future days out of s2

I believe it’s confirmed. For those who don’t know, the song came out in 2013, so it wouldn’t fit the new timeline of the show where the virus starts in 2003 instead. Pearl Jam would be dead by 2013, and even if not dead, surely not making any music to release AND for Joel to learn it on guitar

But…that scene, that song is such a welding point for them. He promises he’ll teach her how to play guitar AND she’ll get to hear him sing. So, he plays this song AND sings some of it for her. It’s to say “I love you”. It’s to show how she saved him. The lyrics that he sings (and the song in general let’s be honest here) are so incredibly fitting to their relationship.

And, every time you come across a guitar in tlou2 (with the exception of the dance flashback? I think?) Ellie tries to play future days. Because it’s their song and because she’s remembering him through it. But it’s just so difficult to do because he’s dead, but that song means so much to her and she’s practiced it day in and day out, with and without him.

If I ever were to lose you, I’d surely lose myself. They’ve probably sung it together more times than not. And every time she plays, she gets out only that ^ much, I think even less at one point

The song is so vital to them, so for Craig and Neil to find just as impactful and important of a song to use for Joel and Ellie will be difficult, and I really hope they find a good one

exams really just go on forever and ever and ever and ever

#sorry about this one but it’s just hit me that i’m literally not getting a break cause of the german listening #3 days between them i guess and then that’s it we’re back with 6-7 hour school days #how the hell do they think this is sustainable we just don’t get to stop ever #what’s the line like. it keeps happening it fucking keeps happening and i just want to lie down without needing to be doing something else #hghhhgvhnbgghhbghnbghvvbvav #the biggest break it’s possible to get is one school week. 5 days without exams or revision sessions jesus christ what are they doing #and i know i know it’s not their fault and that ultimately it’s an inherent flaw within the way exams work #and that actually they probably don’t want this either. but could they at least say that to us at some point #if they just went hey this sucks but this is what you’ve gotta do and offered a shred of sympathy rather than just shitty #seemingly non genuine positivity i would feel so much better #ok. ok i’m more normal having said all those words probably still gonna post this but then like delete it later or something #i’ll be fine i’m just so tired and will apparently be so tired for the foreseeable fr #but then there’s the future beyond what’s foreseeable and it’ll all get better then. it’ll be fine #ezra’s real life rambles

Survived another day of severe SI 💪 #unkillable

#cliche to say but g-d will have to try harder than this to kill me #I feel more sensible again now #the problem is I lose the ability to think rationally when it happens; it’s like a dark cloud overtaking me #I should’ve probably gone to the hospital but then again that’d probably make me feel worse #good to be out of it either way! I’m glad I’m fine #nothing is better and everything is still terrible and stressful but I’m not gonna kill myself about it #everything will sort itself out and even if I flunk out it’ll be fine eventually #all day I was thinking what was even the point of surviving all the times I’ve wanted to kill myself since the age of 14 #if all it got me was PTSD three times over and every time I think I’m through it something else traumatising happens #but we’ll see. im sorry im loosing it over the possible possibilities of mirrors shenanigans

#originally this was gonna be like. an actual little mini comic thing but then i remembered those take time and effort #and i have neither of those so im just gonna post the first sketch thing of this and call it a day #anyways! i have unnecessary plot ideas of this small idea so uh #touka and nemu were researching mirrors and sent out iroha sakurako and felicia out to take a look around some of the warp mirrors #eventually iroha ends up getting separated from the others and goes looking for them #on the otherside of things past mel was exploring mirrors (after being told not to by both yachiyo and kanagi) and runs into #a particularly strong kanagi copy and tries to escape her by running headfirst into the first mirror she saw #and she ends up in a future kamihama where shes already dead #something something she finds iroha thinking shes a new magical girl and iroha knowing mel is supposed to be very dead #brings her to mitama whos set up shop at the mirror mansion for the day #mitama calls kanagi while iroha calls yachiyo and the rest of mel’s old team #and something something touka yells at them for causing a time paradox something something mel ends up only staying for about like a day #she goes back to her time and the rest of them reluctantly smash the mirror she came out of #this probably makes no sense but the mirror witch is very interesting to me right now #and this is just one of the many things that were thrown into my brain because of this #im not doing anything else with it that i’ll post though probably so uh #also not tagging this with main tags because i simply dont feel like it #okay goodbye

I haven’t been actively lately because I only just got internet and phone access where I’m staying rn and I finally have my new sim card in so I can have WIFI HALLELUJAH (I’m only supposed to have 1 hour phone time a day but no one needs to know heheheh)

Anyway I just wanted to say that I nearly died and I will still die and stand for Carson because he is amazing and a good person and season 6 isn’t in character but even if it was what happened to Thomas CLEARLY wasn’t even Carson’s fault and if you say it was then you SUCK and you’re WRONG!!! 😌 CARSON IS MY LIFE AMD MY WORLD AND THATS JUST SOMETHING FHAR YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT ABOUT ME!!!!!!!!!

Unpopular opinion but I actually like Jessica’s diver outfit. I think it’s camp and tacky which is very much her personality. The one leg and the high heels are so stupid I can’t help but love it.

Happy Valentines day!!!

I’ve already posted this…but I’ve been extremely busy this month. A life update: I moved! At the beginning of this month I moved apartments into something bigger but cheaper so I haven’t done much besides move boxes and unpack and make sure my babies(my animals….my cat and two dogs!) have settled in right! It’s difficult getting completely settled and unpacked due to the fact I work in the week— I’m planning to change to only work weekends! I feel like it’d be better for me..

Your eyes fell upon tall dark figure in the corner - a giant of a man was sitting silently, listening to a conversation his other two friends were having, adding to it time to time.

Loser!Metalhead!König who is silent, aloof and even intimidating, with his long hair and black band t-shirts with skulls and chains and scary looking letters. You think he doesn’t like you first time you approach him, just nodding curtly at whatever you have to say, occasionally giving the shortest, driest responses. But, strangely, you don’t feel any hostility coming from him, his presence open and welcoming, even despite his detached and even awkward demeanour.

Loser!Metalhead!König who actually freaks the fuck out when a pretty little thing like yourself comes up to talk to him. He’s struck, not knowing what to do or what to say, his fear of women, especially as gorgeous and beautiful as you, showing up on its fullest. Being more of a listener naturally he just lets you ramble his ear off, taking in your every word even if it looks like he doesn’t care much about what you have to say.

Loser!Metalhead!König who is drastically different from you. You, with your pretty pink crop top and baby blue jeans, white ribbons adorning your hair and glossed plump lips curving so gorgeously in a smile, are a complete opposite to König - huge burly body clad in all black and heavy chains, thick forearms and bulging biceps, thick eyebrows knitted together, a frown that seems to be permanent is tainting his sharp features.

Loser!Metalhead!König who can’t get you out of his head, memories of you flooding his brain for the next few weeks. You just struck him like lightning - your syrupy voice, gentle eyes gazing up at him as you told him some silly story from your childhood - in the dead of night König’s mind unmistakably wandered back to them, getting lost in your orbs all over again, broad chest filling with warm buzz.

Loser!Metalhead!König whom you meet weeks later in a city centre, accidentally running into him on your way back home from running errands. Your eyes light up upon recognising your new acquaintance, lips stretching in a wide smile and König feels as if all the air is being punched out of his chest. You greet him heartily, asking how he’s been and what he’s up to currently. And König, shocking himself even, grasps the possibility, asking if you’d like to go grab some coffee because he’s dying for one right now (read as: I’m so painfully into you I’ll use any excuse to be around you). And you happily agree, leading him to that one coffee shop you love, which serves the most delicious chocolate cake he’ll ever have.

Loser!Metalhead!König who spends the rest of the day with you, first in the coffee shop and then going for a walk around the centre of Vienna, just talking about everything. Your bubbly and easygoing personality eases him out of his shell, making him talk more freely about his interests and hobbies, his chest tightening proudly upon seeing your amazed expression as he told you of his passion for playing guitars and drums, promising to teach you how to play a few chords in a future.

Loser!Metalhead!König who happily exchanges instas with you (his pictureless profile with 4 followers and name like kng69 lmao) scrolling in awe through all the photos you have there, littering your phone with repeated notifications of new like on your post. He’s sad when he notices the time, you telling him that you have to go home now, his ears perking up at your upset tone, meaning that you don’t want this day to end just as much as König does. He waits for your taxi to arrive, making sure you get in the right car, wishing you a safe ride home.

Loser!Metalhead!König who texts you on ig an hour later, asking if you got home safe. That message makes you smile stupidly at your phone as you reassure him that you’re all safe and sound at your place, adding that you enjoyed today and would like to meet up with König again someday. Now he’s the one grinning at his phone, pale blush dusting his high cheekbones as he lays sleepless in his bed, head full of buzzing thoughts and every single one of them is painfully full of you<3

Finally watched The Pillars of the Earth until the end, I started a few times when it was on tv but it was never on weekends so I couldn’t stay up to finish. And now I’m emotional about builders who built cathedrals hundreds of years ago, knowing they’d never see them finished. And they’re still standing today and no matter how advanced technology is, we’re still amazed by them.

#I feel so sorry for Americans who just don’t have them #I mean you can’t just go sightseeing in a city near you and just have a 700-year-old cathedral there that you just walk around in #there’s a church just 4km away from where I live that was built in 1200 #this city isn’t even 100 years old #it just blows my mind that a bunch of workers hundreds of years ago built something that’s still here #the workers are so long forgotten but I bet their work will live as long as there are humans around #nothing I’ll ever create in my job will outlive anyone #and my free time creations neither :D #I mean sure my novels will exist as long as google docs exists but nobody will ever see them :D #this post will probably outlive me if tumblr keeps existing #using the internet in 100 years will be so weird #you see a page and it says ‘last updated 84 years ago’#who knows maybe in 200 years some kid will do a presentation at school about the early days of the internet and find this post #hi future kid say hello to your class from me :)
